You're starting to give up hope on joining a club because none of the flyers seem to catch your eye. Just as you're about to give up for sure and leave, a flyer on the wall catches your eye. Curiously, you approach the flyer to read it. An advertisement for a club! Maybe this one will be interesting!

IF SO, THEN THE MYSTERY CLUB IS JUST THE CLUB FOR YOU! WE SOLVE MYSTERIES AND HAUNTINGS!
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING, PLEASE MEET US IN ROOM E-10 AFTER HOURS STARTING AT 3:30 PM.

A Mystery Club? Out of all of the flyers you've seen, this one appears to catch your eye a little. Maybe you will join, maybe you won't. It's Room E-10, right? After hours, you walk down the empty hallways of the school, the only noise is coming from the various club rooms. Reaching the end of the hallway, you approach room E-10 and find that the door is unlocked, though it looks like the room itself is pitch black and nobody is there. Carefully, you turn the doorknob and the door swings open. A single candle is lit and is gently flickering in the dark. Eerie much?
"Hello, I'm here to learn more about the Mystery Club."
You call out into the darkness only to get no response.
Is that shuffling sounds you hear? Your head turns but of course you can't see anything, and the candle isn't giving off much light anyways.
And suddenly the lights flicker on and there are people in here! You were worried there for a second!

Hello everyone! It's me, applecream, back with yet another group interest check! So today, we have a roleplay about a mystery club! There are limited spots, and it is first come first serve. So once someone wants that spot, it is theirs. Though the spot will reopen if the person loses interest. There are 2 newbie spots so two people can claim those, though. Anyways, the premise is that a bunch of high school students take on mysteries and hauntings and urban legends! They'll tackle school hauntings, house hauntings, school mysteries, the mystery of the Goatman perhaps, and more!

CLUB OWNER/LEAD INVESTIGATOR (Taken) : This person is the one that founded the club with the co-owner and they're pretty enthusiastic about the paranormal, urban legends, unsolved mysteries, you name it! They are the one to accept or decline requests, basically they will decide if the club should look into this case or not. More often than not, they will accept cases but there's been a tad few times where they declined to look into something.
CO-OWNER/ASSISTANT (Taken) : So basically, this person also founded the club, and they are the lead investigator's assistant, and they bring in the equipment and everything. Cameras, Speakers, Recorders, you name it. They also set up everything and will usually sit in a chair and monitor computers for any strange activity, temperature drops, and more.
HACKER (Taken) : This person is pretty tech savvy and really good with electronic devices. Anything dealing with technology, you will come to this person. They'll hack into cameras to receive footage, databases, phones, laptops, you name it! Anything to help the club move forward with their investigation.
RESEARCHER (Taken) : Unlike the hacker, this person hits the libraries and the books to research what the club is up against. If it's an urban legend, they'll research said urban legend and tell the leader, or the assistant, about said legend and how to deal with it. If it's a ghost, they'll look into the history of the property they're currently staying at for records.
BAIT (Taken) : This person has the rather unfortunate task of being the bait. As in they are the one to be trying to lure out the ghost, or they'll partake in trying to bring out an urban legend. It's a rather dangerous task for them and while they do complain about it sometimes, they're happy to do it.
SKEPTIC (Taken) : Honestly, it's not even clear why this person joined the mystery club. Maybe to mock the others for doing something silly. Oh yes, they'll help out the others, but they always say there's some rational explanation for everything. They're that one person in the club who doesn't believe in any of this stuff. Even after solving a case, they'll say it was some elaborate prank pulled by the others! The nerve of them!
NEWBIES (Taken/Taken) : These two are recent members of the club. They just joined and are currently learning the ropes of what the mystery club does. They'll help out with tasks but as of right now, they have no major role. Tasks include fetching cameras, interviewing clients when the others are busy, watching over their base (basically a room the lead investigator picked out for them to set up), and more.

Now, onto the rules!
RULE ONE -- This roleplay is LGBTQ+ friendly! All genders, sexualities, etc... are very much welcome here!
RULE TWO -- Bigotry and bullying towards other members will not be tolerated whatsoever. Let's all try to get along with each other please!
RULE THREE -- Discord is required as all of our OOC chatting and plotting will be taking place there. The actual roleplay will take place here on RPN.
RULE FOUR -- Realistic FCs only please! No anime, drawn, or picrew FCs please.
RULE FIVE -- Please do NOT leave anybody out of the plotting/chatting and the roleplay. It isn't nice. If you see someone in need of interacting with, try to interact with them!
RULE SIX -- Run any case ideas by me first so i can either accept or decline them!
RULE SEVEN -- This roleplay will be semi advanced to advanced. I definitely understand having low muse and needing to rush but please don't post one paragraph for every post. Try to push out at least 3 or more paragraphs.
