As a boy, your father took you and your brother on multiple campaigns to crush rebellions and conquer new lands, always trying to impart the importance of power and might onto you both. He pitted you two against each other, fostering a vicious rivalry to ensure you'd both grow strong, promising the more fearsome of the two would gain his crown. You witnessed your father's cruelty firsthand when he crushed a rebellion led by a holy maiden and, instead of simply killing the maiden's only child, he instead poisoned the girl, turning her into a half-vampire abomination. Rejected from the very holy order her mother was a part of, the Dhampir would serve as a warning to everyone who would stand against your father.
Ten years later, you have been sent to campaign in the northern lands where the air is cool and damp, in an attempt to secure a future for yourself. This is where you once more meet that dhampir girl and are left with the chance to make a choice.
