  test group 1

  This is one of the rp threads. So, instead of what I originally planned, the characters are going to be in two identical sections, which meet in a room next to the living room. This room has a window, which allows the experiments in different groups to see one another and there is an intercom which they can use to communicate. Cienna's group will find out about soulmates when she wakes up, which they can then relay to the other group through the intercoms. Cienna knows that there are two groups, so she'll encourage someone from her group to go tell the other ones. This is the first testing group

  A blaring alarm is what raises Xiomara out of her medically induced slumber as she lets out a groan. She had been dreaming about being home, with her family, and Harry Styles of course. She quickly snaps out of this stupor as she glances around the room, which isn't the sterile white cell she has been trapped in for the last three years. Where the hell is she? This, living room as it seems, appears to be significantly more comfortable than her cot back in her room. However, she quickly takes note of the large amount of people in the room, all of whom are clad in the same gray uniform as herself. However, some of them look quite different then her, with tails, wings, and other abnormalities. One in particular draws her eye, a very tall man with what seems to be horns adjourning his head. How strange and even stranger that she can't place exactly why she feels such a connection to this man. It takes the girl only a moment to realize that all these people must be experiments as well. She had naively hoped that she was the only one they were doing this to. Being the only one subjected to this torture wouldn't make it any easier, but it would certainly grant her peace of mind. However, based on the monstrous qualities of those around her, her hope had been misplaced.
  
  As she stands, the fairy-like creature takes note of the dining area and the cameras that are mounted on the walls. What is so interesting to look at? All of these victims, in their outfits they were day in and day out. Is it the defeated look behind their eyes? Or perhaps their pale, sunken cheeks? Of course, it is actually the sins that have been implanted in these people that the scientists are so interested in. The horrors that have been committed on these victims, as that's truly what these experiments are, would probably excite some. In Xiomara's opinion, those people deserve to be punched in the face. Whoever is operating these cameras, that are intruding on her life and the lives of those who were around her.
  
  "Where the fuck am I?" She speaks up, asking the man behind the camera. The faceless observers if you will. The men who use the scientists as their puppets, but never come to the facility themselves. She knows why they are there. She's not stupid. There is a war going on and she is meant to be a weapon. She never will be. That's the one thing that is certain in this world. Her question is finally answered as a man speaks up, but it isn't the question she asked. In fact, it is a question that she now wishes she was never given the answer to. What happened to her family?

  Over time, Mateo has gotten better and better at recognizing people's voices. However, this was one that he doesn't want to hear. He's always assumed that Xo was kidnapped or killed in the experiments, but he had always held out hope. Maybe she had just run away. Maybe they had only turned him into a monster. The boy's thoughts begin to spiral the second he heard the young woman's voice. Then, it just got worse. From what he can see, through the cage over his eyes, his sister's shadow is much smaller than it was. No, than it should be. He suspects that he is the same way. Dark circles under the eyes, sunken cheeks, and visible ribs are probably common in these experiments, as they have all lost sleep. It has become impossible to avoid nightmares when you are the monster. The second he awakes, it's all real. He can never look at anyone he loves, or he will kill them. The nightmares are better than his life.
  
  "Xiomara?" The one word has the young woman running to wrap the teen in her arms. Something, maybe feathers, also wrap around Mateo, securing him in her embrace. The two whisper i love yous and apologies, but quiet enough that no one else listening will be able to hear. This bittersweet moment is just for the two of them. The two couldn't be happier at the idea of just not being alone anymore, but at the same time, that means that they both are subjected to torture for eternity. Maybe they will escape. But the boy will never be able to lay his eyes on anyone. They took something he craved, sight, and they transformed it into a fate worse then death. However, neither experiment will cry. That will be a moment solely for themselves. They could cry and wallow when it was over. Now, they have shit to do.
  
  The two turn to the rest of the group, who have begun to wake up as well, seeing as the alarm is still blaring. His sister's wings--holy fuck she has wings stay wrapped around Mateo though, almost as if she were shielding him from the unwavering eyes of the scientists.
