The Growing Storm (1906 rp)

A hat that really say 'March a hundred thousand men to their death in the caucuses.'

You know Enver Pasha?

Only the greatest general in Ottoman history.
Technically, He was a good commander, You must know how well he quelled the Revolts in Macedonia.Plus he was good in Trablus-Garp (Libya), He just wasn't cut out for Leading an entire ARMY.

Pasha was a man that pushed hard to bring the Ottomans into the war and then proceeded to fuck things up at almost every opportunity. He failed in the caucuses, blamed the Armenians and well all know what happened next. He may have done some stuff in his earlier years but in the end he didn't just ruin his legacy he tore it to shreds.

They did help the Russians so there's truth there. Ottoman Empire is well known for their attitude towards rebels.
I mean punishing rebels is one thing, what happened to the Armenians is another level.

Despite Bulgarian and Turkish differences. I think we can both agree on who really had the best Great War era head gear:

Otto Liman von Sanders is gonna have his work cut out for him down there :p
A very competetent Commander, albeit I think I like Goltz Pasha better.

They are still causing problems.

True.

True, Goltz was the main man down there as far as German advisers go
Goltz Pasha is well respected in Turkey, he defined the Modern Turkish Army. Plus he supported the Ottoman Empire against Western acusations during the last days of Hamidiye Period, where Ottoman Government was accused of crimes against Christians and Nationalities in the Balkans.

Balkans were our home as much as theirs. Rumelia and Macedonia housed countless Turks, Not so much in Albania but they kinda assimilated to an extent, same with Bosnia. The lose of Rumelia was a big hit to the National Spirit.

You guys are so fixated on hats you'll never see me, the hat salesman, creeping up behind you.

I still need to jot down a few things on it. My navy isn't that small. That should be the only thing left. I'll post here when I'm done.

(looks at CS)
Oooh~ New faction emerges!
(sees Tupolev-4s PISTON-ENGINED bombers)
Okie~ Guess I'll just merge myself with NATO now. Don't want no reddies in mah backyard.

"The 1907 Election is possibly one of the most contested of modern United States history, with multiple and controversial candidates at the forefront of it all: Theodore Roosevelt, Thorstein Bunde Veblen, William Howard Taft, Eugene V. Debs, William Jennings Bryan, and finally Charles Evans Hughes. Thorstein Bunde Veblen and to a lesser extent Eugene V. Debs are household names whispered in public due to their extreme views on reforming the country, one demanding a technocratic state, the other a decidedly unionist and socialist one, going so far as to organize 'worker militias' across the nation, particularly in the Midwest. Charles Evans Hughes and William Jennings Bryan are widely considered to be safer, less extreme alternatives, yet many say their shared ignorance of the lives of common workers and the plights of african americans is unacceptable. Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft, while now bickering rivals, appear to much of the same and solid candidates for continued economic growth, even though the latter cast out of the former's shadow has now adopted a more muted approach."

Now I'll see who wins the nominations and doesn't drop out of the election.

Playing as the US is an interesting choice honestly. Especially the elections, something we Austro-Hungarians doesn't have.
(Dissolves Empire and become constitutional republic)

This might be our last depending on who is elected president.
