What the hell does it mean?

Ya know I was always more concerned about the shark... I just always assumed the creator’s favorite animal was a shark, though. Perhaps it is mostly for design, and the illustrator needed some thing square. The shield may have worked the best because it is associated with fantasy and adventure.

 

[Idea]

I think the dice and the pencil seem pretty evident as to what they might represent. The shark is pretty much the site mascot, the main RPN account's profile pic is that tsundere shark.
