As for the carnivores, many have integrated into herbivore society with the promise of sticking to a diet of fish. Others have settled for sticking to the Bloodlands and fending for themselves outside of the safe walls of the Marches. These dinosaurs, called the Exiled, are not allowed within the walls of the main cities of the Marches. Though, anything that steps out of the walls of the Marches is fair game. Mercenaries and sellswords are designated to help keep the towns on the borders safe, though their jobs are quite difficult and dangerous. Yet, they are the one of the only things that keep us safe from the outside.
Now isn't the time to be thinking about the Bloodlands or the Exiled, however. As winter melts into spring, the largest March begins to plan for the 25th annual Spring Festival. Excited dinosaurs from around Kunasya begin to gather, just waiting to take part in the tournaments and parades and partake in eating and drinking. Yet, this Spring Festival doesn't seem like it'll be the same as the last...
Below is a description of each of the Marches, along with where they are located. All Marches are overseen by a ruling pair of herbivorous dinosaurs called the Herald and Heraldess; no carnivores have ever been in power. Each March holds several cities within its borders, though the capital is the largest and most protected of them.
"A dinosaur from Hiemal has a cold heart and blood of frost... they are some of the worst company you can have, Bloodlanders with fancy names and filthy mouths that spew lies behind a smile. Don't let your guard down around them; if they're nice to you, they want something from you. If they're not, well..." -- Tiernian Pirate
Hiemal is the northernmost March of Kunasya, all the way at the top of the continent. In fact, some call Hiemal the "Crown of the Realm" due to its coincidential location. It is also the largest March and dinosaurs have adapted to sporting fur coats and developing a thicker layer of feathers during the harsh winter months. Dinosaurs from Hiemal are considered to be either of two things; cold and calculated or cunning and untrustworthy. This is due to the fact that Hiemal dinosaurs are not often seen in the other Marches and are thus considered secretive and isolationists.
Hiemal is composed of icy tundras and stark, gray cliff edges. Sometimes one may come across a hot spring or two, though much of Hiemal's water sources are completely frozen over-- save for the Black Sea that surrounds it. Because of its location, it shares three sides of its borders with the Black Sea, leaving it exposed to the great expanse to its north and the Bloodlands to its south. Nevetheless, Hiemal is known for the massive haul of fish it constantly brings in from the Black Sea.
Its capital, Frostmaw, is to the very north of Hiemal and overlooks the Black Sea itself.
"Anonans are one of the most quiet types of dinosaurs. Nothing much ever deters them, they're boring, and have a crappy taste in humor... But damn, do they make a good batch of honey mead!" -- Carnosaurus sellsword
Located on the westernmost coast of Kunasya, Anona is one of the smaller Marches of the continent. Anonans are peaceful beings known for their craftsmanship and breweries. Much of their land is covered in beautiful crimson-leaved forests and brown mountains that are dusted over with snow during the winter. Anona is also the place where many dinosaurs choose to gather due to its temperate climate and the protection of the neighboring March, Primavere. The March yields massive gathering of crops, and even has large farmlands and wonderful harvest festivals.
To the west of Anona lies the Saffron Ocean. They say all of the Yellow Watershed (the rivers, streams, lakes, and brooks that lie within the borders of Anona and Primavere) originate from the Saffron Ocean.
Its capital, Verdance, is near the southern border of Anona and lies rather close to Primavere.
"Primavere is the definition of strength, prosperity, power, and passion. There is no other March quite like it. Ask anyone, and they will be sure to agree." -- Primaveran politician
Who hasn't been to Primavere? The largest March in all of Kunasya, it lies just southwest of Anona. The Bloodlands surround them on three of its sides, though it is the March that has prospered much in the past few decades. The territory is made up of brilliant rolling hills, green plains, brisk forests, and lush valleys, along with arid deserts to its very south. Its capital, Tierno, is also the largest city in Kunasya; it is where all types of dinosaurs gather and stay during Primavere's grand Spring Festivals that occur every year. Yet, observant dinosaurs notice that Primavere's politicians are rather corrupt, and even the Heralds have little to no tolerance of those who break the law.
"Helians are nothing more than raiders, robbers, and pirates. Have you ever met one that doesn't try to swindle or pickpocket you?" -- posh Ankylosaurus
Helius is a dilema. Most of the March is broken up into islands drifiting in the Summersea, while only some of the territory is attached to the main continent. It is always in a state of perpetual summer, which make it quite the popular tourist spot other than Primavere. All in all, Helius bears nine islands in total, and each of them are rather large and filled with jungles or lush forests. The main form of transportation to and from islands are through ships, though the waters are fair game; many civilian ships are attacked by pirates and scoundrels.
While Helius is always warm and is thus able to produce wonderful fruit and berry wines, it must also be prepared for monsoons that sweep in from the undiscovered parts of the ocean. Its capital, Tierno, is located in the midst of a jungle on the largest island.
There are two main deviations of dinosaurs-- herbivores and carnivores. Below is separate information for each of the two main species of the realm.
In most of Kunasya, both male and female dinosaurs are seen as equal, though males make up most of the city guard and army. Males are also the ones that are more keen on engaging in spats with each other, especially when fighting over females. Females, on the other hand, usually have wonderful motherly instincts, which shows in the way they take care of their children and even other dinosaurs.
Kunasya's religon is dubbed the Path of the Sun. This is not an actively practiced religion-- that is, dinosaurs do not go to any place of worship or pray to any god. Instead, they believe that when they die, they enter a peaceful afterlife free of pain and discrimination. The sun is instead their holy symbol; oracles often predict the future by looking into the sky to spot signs created by the sun itself. Some dinosaurs do not believe this and choose to live a life free of religion or belief.
Dinosaurs have not been known to marry, though once they couple with a mate they are expected to remain with said mate for the rest of their lives.

In this setting, dinosaurs are actually warm-blooded creatures that can adapt to extreme heat or extreme cold with the help of the clothing they wear. Thus, they also give birth to live young after a six month gestation period, and sometimes birth two or three offspring at a time. Herbivores are able to crossbreed with one another, their offspring being the species of either the mother or father. The same happens with carnivores.
There have been cases where a carnivore falls in love with a herbivore and vice versa. Unfortunately, there has never been a case where a carnivore has ever gotten a herbivore pregnant, or the other way around. This union is also seen as rather taboo due to the lowly expectations and opinions towards carnivores themselves. Carnivores have also shunned other carnivores for choosing to become mates with a herbivore as well.

Carnivores were once the apex predators of Kunasya. They roamed the land in search of prey, whether it be nonsentient mammals or other dinosaurs. Many dinosaurs were frightened of the gruesome sight of these creatures due to the fact that they acted more beast than man, even turning on each other if instigated or in a state of frenzied bloodlust. Yet, with the end of the Stalker's Age came a new era for carnivores. The newly established Marches demanded one thing of them; either integrate with civilized society or die in the Bloodlands as an Exiled.
Most carnivores currently live within the borders of the Marches, though a significant amount have chosen to stick to the Bloodlands and raid helpess villages outside of the safety of the territories. Yet, even the most civilized and tame carnivores are looked upon with unease and disgust. No one ever flinches when herbivores decide to outright refuse to attend or help carnivores due to their history and heritage. Not to mention, there have been a number of cases where carnivores have regressed into their animistic tendencies upon the sight or taste of warm blood. This is why herbivores have forced carnivores to stick to eating white meat such as fish or poultry and have outlawed the consumption of darker, mammalian meats. A long time ago, when the Marches were first established, herbivores tried to force carnivores into a strictly vegetarian diet-- though this did not work out, as eating purely plant life caused dysentery, stomachaches, and even death among the carnivores.
A carnivore's teeth are designed to rip and tear flesh-- their claws and talons are built to grip their prey. Even though they are civilized, they are still very much killing machine that can cause a lot of damage if they ever decide to get into fights. The pressure of their bites can easily rend tendons and bone.
Due to the fact that they are discriminated upon and at times even ousted, a large amount of carnivores decide to become traveling sellswords, hunters, or even knights. It is quite ironic to see that herbivores place the brunt of their defense on the very ones that may turn on them any moment...

Herbivores are the "civilized" dinosaur, as many would say. They are the only ones that can hold positions of power-- and even most of the businesses in the Marches are run by herbivores themselves. Unlike carnivores, herbivores are very much herd animals that crave companionship, thus they are always seen hanging in large groups. They are rather intolerant of carnivores and are allowed to shun them for whatever reason, whether it be that they have bared their teeth or wandered a bit too close to them while passing by.
Surprisingly enough, a herbivore's teeth are not entirely flat. Instead, they are much like a human's; molars for grinding up vegetables and fruit and slightly sharpened canines that are meant for biting and tearing. Some say that their teeth have evolved alongside carnivores, others say that it is more apt for biting leaves off trees... each theory is duly shot down by the next, and so such a feat remains a mystery.

2) HAVE FUN! Despite everything, I want my players to have fun. I want them to be excited to face an enemy, wonder about what is going to happen next, participate in banter and plotting and ships, and so forth.
3) WHILE I MIGHT BE THE GM, EVERYONE WILL WORK TOGETHER TO PUSH THE RP ALONG. We will all be taking part in developing the plot, baddies, and etc. That being said, I have the last word on everything, though I don't want to be absolutely commandeering.
4) READ THE LORE. It'll take time for me to create the world. Please don't skim things!
5) FOLLOW THE RULES THAT I PUT IN PLACE. Don't make me upset, please! I am pretty open minded, though if I'm stern on something, I will let you know.
6) DO NOT GHOST. JOIN THE DISCORD. POST ONCE A WEEK. REMAIN ACTIVE IN CHAT. Active members just make things all the more fun!
7) TAKE YOUR TIME IN CREATING CHARACTERS AND WRITING POSTS. The sheet might not look fancy, but that doesn't mean you can't spice it up and make it look nice! Also, please don't give me a mess of words when you write a post. Add color, font type, and other things-- again, take your time!
