The Infinite Being
People were born with special gifts that they just couldn't understand. A new organization found out and is slowly catching the empowered one by one. They aren't killing them, though. They are imprisoning them for "public safety" and preforming tests to try and figure out how they work. Now there is a chance to escape, but only if people work together. Your freedom awaits.

Ivan grabbed a tray and accepted some sort of glop. It was supposed to be lunch, but if it started crawling around the room he wouldn't be surprised. Despite how horrid it looked, he knew it didn't taste too bad and had high nutritional value. He didn't even hesitate or look around the room before walking to his spot in the corner and silently watched everyone else, trying to identify anything new or unusual. He recognized everyone in the room and knew them all by names (excluding the guards). Despite this fact, he made few attempts to actually get to know them personally. He knew enough just by listening to their conversations. As he ate, a thin layer of frost spread around his table. The guards had long since stopped telling him to do so as he persisted everyday.

Rowan sauntered into the room and up to the counter for some 'food,' grabbing a tray on her way in and twirling it as she waited in line. When it was finally her turn, she held the tray out, trying to make eye contact with the tough looking man behind the glass.

"Got anything good for me today, Margery?" She said, grinning at the man.

She knew very well his name was most likely not Margery, and he knew very well she did it to piss him off. It worked. He scowled and plopped a blob of who knows what on her tray. Rowan stared at her tray, her face betraying her disgust for only a moment, then she looked back up at the man. "Oh wow! You've really out done yourself this time Margery! You'll have to give me the recipe!" The man practically growled behind his "protective" window. He really hated his job.

Rowan grinned and waved as she finally moved on, "Ok, well, see you tomorrow Margery! I can't wait to see what you cook up next!"

She turned to examine the Cafeteria in front of her, and headed to her usual spot, where she plopped down and began poking at the blob on the tray. After a few minutes, and one tentative bite, she decided she wasn't hungry so she turned around and leaned back, her arms spread behind her, and watched the others come and go.

Dante was right behind a girl- wait boy? No definitely girl. Anyways. Dante was behind a girl that was being slightly rude to the man behind the glass serving them food. He grabbed his tray and get some food. He thanked the man as the man just grunted. Dante sat down in the corner with the ice guy, as he called him because of his power to control ice. Their body temperatures canceled each other out but he had learned how to lower his body temperature slightly so around the boys it was cool. He said to him, "Hiw is your day going?" He lit his fingers on fire and quickly toasted the glop that he was about to eat. It was now a perfect golden brown. He took a bite of it and a shiver went down his spine. He still forced himself to eat it because he needed some nutrients in his body.

Ivan saw Dante comming and reduced the amount of frost on the table and completely removed it from where he was going to sit. In responce to his question, Ivan said "Nothing new." Most people knew that simply meant he was neutral on an emotional level, but frustrated that there really was nothing new. He wanted something to change and a flaw to show up in the system. He had noted a few, but nothing substantial. "And you?"

Dante sighed, "Same here. It's all the same here. Nothing new, the same old glop of whatever this thing is." He said pointing to the.... food? He wasn't really sure what it was. "We should do something. Something fun. Like run. You up for running? I could run for days in this cramped cesspool." He pointed to some of the dirty places. "See? Cesspool." He hated it there. There really wasn't much to do. He stopped eating because of the disgusting taste. He started to play with a small sun by throwing it between his hands and letting it run around his fingers, as you can tell, he was quite bored.

Charlie cursed loudly struggling with the two guards holding both his arms on either side of him so he was lifted off the ground. He had punched a guard in the face in an attempt to escape, and that was over a month ago. For an entire month he had been kept in his small, sound proofed cell without seeing another person.

He was thrown through the doors of the "Lunch room", landing on his feet. "Stay in here" A guard said threateningly pointing a gloved finger at Charlie who stuck his tongue out in return before walking up to the glass barrier with his metal lunch tray where a rather grumpy looking man stood.

"Looks delicious" Charlie said sarcastically as the man scooped up something thick and brown before slapping it onto his tray.

Charlie turned and walked over to the metal table where Ivan and Dante were sitting, he hadnt seen them since his escape attempt.

"Hey hot; cold" He said nodding at them both while sitting down next to Dante.

"Ya miss me?"

Rowan saw the boy thrown into the lunch room, and a grin spread across her face. Charlie was out, finally. Someone who also enjoyed pissing off the guards. She stood up, abandoning her tray and whatever it was supposed to be on it, and walked over to the table where the three boys were sitting. She examined the interesting design of frost on the table caused by Ivan, and took in the slight burning smell and the mini sun that Dante was playing with, as she approached. She nodded at both of them in greeting before turning her attention to Charlie.

"Look who's finally out of solitary!" She said, grinning. "Was it a nice vacation?"

"Oh yeah, it was great, 1 meal a day; no guards to hit or minds to read.." Charlie said sarcastically as he stood up throwing his arm around the back of Rowan's neck. Charlie liked to state as often as he could about how he could read minds, and he could but he just couldn't control it very well. Charlie lowered his voice as he spoke to the group who were at the table.

"But seriously, we need to get the f@ck out of here"

Dante stood up and whisper yelled, "Huzzah!" He put his fist in the air. "Okay, so I was think I can burn down this entire place and you guys can hide inside of some ice made by icy-boy over here." He pointed to Ivan with his thumb. "All agreed? Or we could have me burn down the whole place. Your choice." He noticed that he had said the same thing twice and said, "Wait, you know what I mean. Or maybe Ivan could freeze a hole in the wall then I could blast through it with a giant fireball. I just need to know how to make a fireball that big first." He was using hand motions that no one could understand. The mini sun disappeared.

"You know just as well as I do that plan will not work" Ivan said. "Concrete walls who know how thick. We might even be under ground. Or we could be at the top of a sky scraper. Either way, we will have guards swamp us before a wall is even cracked. If we are going to do this, we are going to need a strong plan. We are more heavily guarded all together, but alone they use our weaknesses against us. The only thing I can think of is make a break for it when we are being escorted to our cells alone, but that's still a long shot. If I could just find a flaw..." He stopped talking, lost in a new train of though.

Absolutely everything was gray. The walls were gray, the floor was gray, the furniture was gray, even the food was gray. Amber made a scoffing noise as she made her way to the dull-looking man who was handing the rest of the captives their lunches - could they even be referred to as lunches? - and allowed the blob of gunk to plop onto her tray. For a moment she was tempted to fling the "food" at him but decided against it, knowing it would have no effect anyway, with the glass barrier separating them, even if she did inwardly feel no sympathy for the guy. It wasn't like he seemed to enjoy the job. Nevertheless, she cast him a menacing glare, to which he flinched, and tossed her caramel brown hair as she left the kitchen and approached the table at which her temporary companions were seated.

As she slid onto the cold and uncomfortable metal bench across from her fellow captives, she released her tray onto the table, the blob of nutrition bouncing slightly. "I hate this place," she muttered, fixing each of them with her intense amber brown gaze. She ran her fingers through her hair. There was no way of knowing how long she would last here.

"Wow... no guards to hit or minds to read. You poor thing. I don't think I could have survived!" Rowans said, chuckling. She stayed quiet about her own abilities, though the others obviously knew she had them. She had reasons she preferred to not think or talk about them. However, if it came down to it, she would use them to get out of this place.

Speaking of escape, her attention was then turned to the somewhat loud conversation about that exact topic. Like the others, it was constantly on her mind. She had escaped from Military School twice, and once from Juvie, but where ever the facility they were in was, it seemed almost impossible. However, knowing herself, and the others, she had no doubt they would figure something out, even if that meant destroying the facility like Dante wanted to.

As Ivan considered possible flaws, Rowan watched Amber approach, looking irritated. Rowan watched as she plopped down, and shivered as her food jiggled. At Amber's comment of discontent, Rowan chuckled and shook her head. "Don't we all Amber, don't we all."

Ivan finished off the last of his meal and took a moment to study everyone at the table. He took a calming breath and announced in a slightly lower than average conversational tone, "Next we finish off our classes and then we are forced into the work out room. Give me until then, and I should have a strong base. We need to trust each other in this or we will most likely fail. Can we agree to trust each other, at least for now? That means no holding back any information. Anything you haven't mentioned before needs to come out now." He quickly scanned the room to see if anyone was paying any attention. "I'll start. As long as they don't pin any heat on me, I should be able to freeze this entire compound. I don't mean give it frost like this table, but actually coat the floors, walls, and ceiling with ice. Whose next?"

Dante laughed lightly. "We'll I can do the opposite. So what do we do? I feel that fire is more dangerous so maybe I could just toughen up for the short while I'm in the cold. I could just keep my body temperature up to keep myself warm." He made another two mini suns and started to juggle te suns, having too much fun with them. He was smiling with his mouth open and was watching the suns intently. He was truly blessed being able to control fire.

Charlie listened to the others share ideas of how they could use their powers to escape. "Well look at this" He said pulling a folded piece of paper out of his pocket. He positioned his self in front of the security camera in the top corner of the room so that it would only see his back. He unfolded it and placed it on the metal table, it was a map of the prison. "I nabbed it from one of the guards when i had one of my mind suggestion flukes" He said to the group, he couldn't willingly use his powers but sometimes it just happened.

Kain found a table were no others sat. He put his food down sliding into the chair after getting it from the lunch line. He played with the food using a planting fork since he wasn't allowed to use metal.

While he slowly ate his food Kain could slightly hear the conversation between a group of teens such as himself. The one thing he heard clearly was "escape" which he titled his head slightly in there direction to hear more. While he did not particularly care for the escape of others it did most certainly matter to him. The vile behavior of the people who worked here sickened him. Anything that will allow him to kill those here who hurt him was very compelling.

Ivan looked at the map and transposed it onto the table top in front of him in ice. A few extra marks were made and lines appeared, disappeared, and rerouted constantly. "So we're here, and we need to get there" he muttered barley audible, not really meaning for anyone to hear. "We could, no that won't work. Maybe, nah, too obvious..." This continued for a shot while before he stopped and looked up. "Lunch will end soon. Thank you for this valuable information Charlie." He looked at his ice map and transposed it onto himself with all of the adjusted markings. His hope was to secretly work on it during classes.

Kain lost the conversation when they got quieter. He returned to finish his meal. Once done he went to throw away his food. Kain got back to his spot, and sat down resting his head on his hands. Thinking to himself if they attempted something perhaps he could use that since the gaurd s would be busy with them when they found out he most certainly could use that to his advantage. Either way he could also just involve himself with their plans maby during class we might introduce himself.

Rowan watched the others plan, ready to make comments if needs be. However, it was plainly obvious that Ivan was good with plans, and Rowan had to admit it was nice letting someone else plan for once.

She was hesitant to discuss her abilities, though she knew there was no hiding them with Charile there to accidentaly hear her thoughts about them anyway. Also, the group would need them, and were bound to ask her directly about them at some point. So she figured she'd wait until then. She had bad memories associated with her abilities, and she didn't want to appear weak for having them.

Kain awaited for the sound to head to classes. He held his hand in front of his body as small sparks of black electricity formned from his fingers. His hand buzzed as he did this it felt weird to him even though he was used to it. He remembered the time he brought back his pet mouse when a guy kicked it into a wall. Why could he do that then, but not for his family he wondered.

Kain got up as gaurd s in non metal gear came for him. It was the usual routine when they escorted him to the work out room. First they strap on rubber gloves that were similar to hand cuffs. Then he was blind folded as the gaurd s led him out of the room. They were rough as usual, but he did not care for pain much anymore. Although he was fit enough he still trained his body at least it passed the time. Once they took him through the various halls they stopped as they cam in front of the work out room. Opening th door with a key card they pushed him in as two gaurd s took of his restraints while the automated turrets watched him. Two gaurd s also stayed outside at all times aimed their guns at him. When the gaurd s were done they exited the room sealing the door behind him. Their was a reason none of the equipment was metal, and that reason was him mainly. Kain proceed to the end of the room where a weight lift bench was located. There he layer down beneath the bar which had 100 pounds on either side. He then proceeded to lift the weights as he thought about escaping plans.
