Fantasy The Facility (In character)

Alfonse AtwoodAlfonse hadn't noticed Fawn entering the preparation room considering he was completely focused on shifting. The young boy had yet to perfect the odd ability and thus wasn't capable of doing it as fast as the others. That was only a minor issue though because Alfonse also happened to be pretty bad at maintaining his frog side. Sometimes he would suddenly find himself to be turned back to his natural shape or he would uncontrollably switch between shifted and natural. It was most definitely not very pleasant, but Alfonse couldn't do much about it.

After having entered his shifted stance, Alfonse spent a bit of time staring at the wall, repeating his minor plan in his head in an attempt to prepare himself a bit more than he already was. His concentration was temporarily disrupted by a random noise behind him. Turning his head to the side, Alfonse caught a glimpse of Fawn leaning against the wall, unsure how long she had already been there. Still, Alfonse wasn't just going to keep his mouth shut.

Temporarily breaking his battle mindset, Alfonse managed to uncomfortably get out of his shifted form before walking up to her. Though talking was possible while shifted, it was considerably harder because his tongue sometimes happened to have a will of his own. The young boy wasn't very worried about getting back into his shifted form. He had quite easily done it already, so doing so a 2nd time probably wasn't too big of a deal.

Upon getting closer to her, approximately 2 meters away from her, Alfonse spoke up. "Hey," he proclaimed, his tone soft and moderately calm as a smile appeared on his face. "I just wanted to say that you looked really cool out there. The moment when you just went out of your shifted form was especially awesome." His compliments were genuine and well-deserved. Alfonse was slightly jealous of how strong both Ryker and Fawn had shown to be, but at the end of the day, they all were part of the same team so there was no need for jealousy.

Considering it would still take a bit for the match to start, Alfonse decided to relax a bit and sit down on a bench opposite of his teammate. "I hope your wounds aren't too bad by the way. Those scratches and punches looked pretty painful." Alfonse had obviously seen Ryker digging his talons into Fawn's back amongst other vicious attacks, and he thought it was safe to assume that it probably hurt like hell. This was just his way of showing a bit of empathy.

Aurelia Hoizer
Watching Aaron confront the Director was amusing yet infuriating. Aurelia didn't truly hate anyone, except for the Director and that bitch of a guard who followed her around. The whole interaction was painful to watch, but the woman found herself following after Aaron after a few minutes had gone by. The next fight, and interesting pairing, hadn't started yet, so, she felt like she should go an check on him at least. Aaron was really the only person she considered a friend here. And he wasn't in good shape when he left. But at the door, she stopped and turned around.

They were goijng to be fighting soon, she had to remember that. Being concerned about him would only hinder her ability to properly face him. Glaring again in the direction Claire went in, Aurelia settled in to watch the battle between Ryker and Fawn. And what a battle it was. Ryker defeinatly had the upper hand during the beginning even landing a nice blow on Fawn before they both shifted back into human form. From there, Ryker still appeared to have the upper hand even after he lost. One moment his headband was there, the next, it was in Fawn's fist. Aurelia couldn't help but chuckle at the quickness of the Owl girl's hand, which resulted in a win for the underdog of the match.

Crossing her arms, she leaned against the window, a smile on her face. That was thrilling, and out of the corner of her eye she saw Alfonse leave. This made her brows furrow, as, oddly, she couldn't remember who was fighting next. Were her and Aaron round three or were they round four? "Hmm," Looking towards the room the Director was now in, Aurelia gracefully glided over. "Claire darling, who's next?" See, unlike the others, Aurelia wasn't intimidated by the Director. The woman had none of the shifter's respect, and really, there was nothing that Claire had to hold over her. Aurelia was durable enough to within stand most of the punishments that Claire could think up, and there wasn't anything special there at the Facility for Claire to hold over Aurelia.

Director Clair O'Reilly
Clair watched the match between Ryker and Fawn unfold from the screens, it was a much more accurate way to judge performance than with the naked eye. And that was saying something considering Clair's eyesight was perhaps better than any of the current experiments.

With a blank expression, Clair watched the readings pour in second by second. If there was one thing Clair could count on it was numbers and calculations. And what she was seeing before her was impressive, but nothing more. Ryker was operating at his standard level and Fawn may have been operating a lot better than expected but overall her feeling of anxiousness was lowering her performance. Even before Fawn had managed to grab the bandana Clair had let out a sigh and turned her view to the window, she could see it coming. Fawn's victory that is. With her enhanced sight, she could practically see it all happening in slow motion.

And once the match was finished she felt the need to hit something and so she did. Leaving a dent in the desk before her. She felt no need to speak to the two she would make time to do so later. They had performed well, not as well as she had wanted but well enough for her to keep her word. A mission briefing would need to be picked out for later this evening. And the director had already received quite a few requests to pick from.

Clair was deep in thought on the matter when she heard her name being called, with the word she hatted most coming directly after it. 'Darling'. With a sigh, Clair turned her head to glance briefly at the woman who had entered behind her. Aurelia, the cougar hybrid who thought a bit too much of herself. "Aurelia, dear... You're up fifth along with Aaron. Who, should he fail to show up, will be left fighting for his life at my nearest convenience..... Go get him down there, Valmet's probably aggravated him more so than before" With that said Clair shot the woman a soft smile "so sorry about that... I do hate punishing the guy". With that said Clair flicked a switch and the screens reset for the next match.

Director's Personal Guard: Valmet Redacted
With Aaron having stormed off and the spider woman having wandered off Valmet returned to her post following some heavy profanity. Once back against the door frame Valmet set about toying with a switchblade muttering "That hot-headed (insert profanity here)! The real world will tear him to shreds if he loses his cool that easily. I don't understand why the director wants him kept angry all the time.... But she's the boss, and she always has her reasons" With that said Valmet lay her head back and began to stare aimlessly at the ceiling.

Sariko awkwardly glanced around a little at Priscilla's words, "I- I'm fine! Really don' worry it's me who's supposed to be looking after you guys~" she chuckled and rubbed the back of her head a little, blushing a light tinge of pink as her ears flickered a little and her pale face still drained from colour despite her best efforts to cover it up, slowly making her way more to the front of the room and timidly clasping her hands together and trying to appear as innocent as possible in the current situation, ear piece still switched on in the background.

She nodded, "Thanks. I will," And with that, she turned on her heel and left the Director alone. Actually, she paused at the door, "You know, you shouldn't lie like that. You love toying with him," Aurelia said. It was after that, she left, and headed for the exit. Shooting a glare at Valmet as she passed, Aurelia began to look for Aaron. All she needed to do was make sure that he was still going to show up to fight. There was no need for Aaron to get in trouble, or for anyone to be punished by that witch for no damn reason other than someone was late. Of course, that meant she would win by default, but that was no way to really win. You didn't put any effort into it, so it kinda voids the whole feeling good about it. Her heels clicked down The hall as she walked, occoasianlly stopping as she checked a room, but eventually she found Aaron. He didn't look...like he normally did. So Aurelia kept her distance. "Hey, you...you okay?"

Fawn's brows knotted together as she heard Alfonse's voice, and she looked up to see that he had shifted back and was sitting across from her. Her shoulders hunched, and she tried to look as though she could pay attention. In truth, she hadn't expected anyone to approach her, but then again, she had always seen the frog boy as friendly. At least, he wasn't Ryker. He had feelings and emotions, and he was more or less comforting.

"Thanks, I guess. I mean... I'm just tired of being a lab rat. Some people find these fights to be fun and a chance to show off skills, but..." Fawn clasped her hands together and sighed wearily. "I feel like we were meant to be so much more. Y'know?"

"Have you ever wanted to leave? Like, go out into the world and never see the Director again?" Fawn knew those types of thoughts were treacherous, but for some reason, she couldn't help but speak her mind. Alfonse seemed like he really did care, and she couldn't hold these things to herself anymore. She shifted where she sat, biting her lips as her mind came tumbling out to someone she didn't know very well.

"I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't talk like that." Fawn picked up the roll of bandages she had been using and got to her sore feet, wavering slightly. Her head felt dizzy, but she did feel slightly better as blood wasn't pouring out of her side any more. She made as if to leave, walking slowly toward the doorway that would lead back upstairs.

Alfonse AtwoodAlfonse listened closely to Fawn's words, kind of understanding how she felt. Being an experiment or a "lab rat" wasn't the ideal way of living, and Alfonse himself had sometimes struggled with the fact that they didn't have the freedom to leave. This was never a choice, but he somehow managed to find peace with his existence. Living a more regular life was a dream, one that he probably would never manage to achieve.

As for fighting, the younger boy didn't consider it to be an enjoyable thing. When engaging in combat, Alfonse switched to survival instincts, slightly losing himself while doing so. Whether he liked it or not, it was a must.

Upon hearing the older girl say she felt they were meant to be so much more, Alfonse gave a careful nod in response. His way of dealing with the lack of freedom and the forced lifestyle wasn't by talking about it, hence why he didn't feel extremely comfortable saying anything about the situation. Not to mention, it wouldn't surprise him if every room within the facility had some sort of microphone or camera within them.

The following words slightly shocked Alfonse. Never would he dare to say something like that anywhere in the facility, despite wholeheartedly agreeing with them. He was almost certain that the simple mentioning of wanting to leave would most likely lead to punishments, which was something Alfonse wanted to avoid at any costs.

His gaze shifted to the side as he discussed the matter in his mind, temporarily switching to introversion and pretty much forgetting to answer. Fawn speaking up again broke his focus and slight fear of talking about such sensitive subjects, causing him to speak up a bit after she had gotten up and started to walk away.

"I have."
His eyes were aimed down at the ground as his calm tone of voice left his mouth. Alfonse's answer was short but showed his perspective on the question perfectly.

Director Clair O'Reilly
Once Aurelia had left the room Clair moved to speak into the microphone once again, her voice being broadcasted loud and clear to those in the preparation room and the simulation room alike. "Alfonse and Zerili, you guys are up next! An antidote has been prepared and is on standby so Alfonse feels free to dish out the pain. Zerili, this battle is going to test your skills to the limit. Your usual full frontal assault won't be too effective if you end up poisoned. Find a way to adjust to it before Alfonse runs away with the match."

With that said the doors to the room slowly opened and the cold air flowed into both preparation rooms. This battle was going to be interesting and would perhaps be the one Clair was most invested in. With all said and done Clair took a seat and awaited both parties arrival before sealing the doors once again. With everything set in motion, Clair relaxed and viewed the screens once more, her mind wondering as she took in the information. A small saddened sigh escaping her lips as she muttered to herself "I wonder when Jonah will finish up....."

“I’ll leave you - Wait, what?” Fawn stopped in her tracks and turned to face Alfonse. She had expected him to report her, or at least say something derogatory, but here he was. Agreeing with her. How was she supposed to respond to that? Her eyes were wide as she met his, and she could feel her heart pick up once more. For once, she felt as if she wasn’t wrong, and that what she was feeling was actually normal. At least, somewhat.

Her mouth opened as if to say something, but it quickly shut as she heard the Director’s voice come over the speakers, asking Alfonse and Zerili to enter the arena. She visibly cowed as the Director mentioned dishing out the pain. She certainly didn’t hesitate on that account.

“Good luck, then.” Fawn switched the subject away from mutiny, her jaw shifting uncomfortably. “Watch out for those claws. And don’t take your eyes off her. I… Bye.” She turned on her heel and almost fled the scene, her mind running a million miles a minute. She almost the subject never came up again, and yet a ray of hope was shining in her mind. It only took a few people to turn the tides of the war.

Fawn climbed the stairs to reach the operations room once more. What she really wanted to do was go to her room and change out her blood stained shirt, but she wanted to see the upcoming fight more. As she made her way to a seat in the room, her eyes locked on the Director, the gears in her mind turning. For once, she wasn’t afraid if she made eye contact.

Zerili - 20 - Wolf Girl
Zerili headed for the arena, "So he can poison me....hm...guess I'll have to be more careful then..." She said as she got to the arena the doors opened and cold air circled her. She smiled taking in the cold as it didn't bother her one bit.

He hadn't expected Alfonse to agree with the warming. Then again he hadn't said anything about snuggling up to him, he was probably getting way ahead of himself. He frowned slightly since when did he start to really care for Alfonse anyways. He wasn't really sure but shrugged it off as the director said that Zerili was going to be testing her limits and that Alfonse was allowed to use his toxin.

Alfonse AtwoodThe reaction of the older team member quite clearly showed she hadn't expected the little frog to agree with her. Her reaction had made Alfonse glance towards her, an uncomfortable, a perhaps slightly fearful expression on his face as he forced a light smile on his face. Alfonse did not give any further reaction, mainly because he didn't know what else to say. He didn't feel comfortable enough to give her private details about his wish to go outside, nor was this the best moment to have such an odd conversation.

Upon hearing the all too familiar voice of the director, Alfonse got up from his position and once again stretched his arms. The information given to him was surprising yet reassuring, making the young boy's confidence in battle reach higher than before. He hadn't expected to be allowed to use his toxin in a simple training match, but Alfonse was definitely not going to complain. Those few words said by the director gave him an advantage that could possibly result in his victory because Zerili now had to be much more careful than she otherwise would have.

Alfonse looked back at Fawn as she spoke up again, wishing him good luck and even offering him a slight tip for the upcoming battle. He offered her a smile again before speaking up right after she said her goodbyes.

"Thank you."

Before he knew it, Alfonse was once again standing in front of the entrance to the simulations room. His shift took a couple seconds to initiate, but as expected didn't cause much trouble. Alfonse closed his eyes while he felt the cold slowly surround him, taking two deep breaths as he tried to calm his mind, getting rid of the thoughts that had just been troubling his mind. His mind had to focus completely on the battle, and it would.

As his eyes opened, Alfonse stepped forward into the simulations room. The cold made him shiver slightly as he stared into the direction of his opponent, his feet already being tortured by the freezing cold snow beneath him. He knew he wouldn't be able to last long by just standing around in the cold, he would have to end this quickly.

Zerili - 20 - Wolf Girl
Zerili's tail swayed behind her in a lazy manner trying to think of ways to take Alfonse down without being touch should he used his toxin. She glared over at him the cold doing nothing to her as she took a step forward. Her hands already clawed and ready for battle, she charged at him with fully speed. Just to see if he would stand his ground or flee, she already had the possible trees he would head for if he decided to flee. Danidify Danidify

Alfonse AtwoodAlfonse's eyes were aimed directly at his opponent the moment he had entered the simulations room. He knew how fast she was, so there was no time to carefully observe his surroundings and debate what his best reaction was. Instead, he followed his instincts, darting towards the trees the moment Zerili started moving. He was almost certain he would make it into the closest tree before the terrifying wolf could get to him, so it seemed like a logical choice.

The moment Alfonse reached the tree, the young boy jumped right against it and allowed his hands and feet to do the rest. Rapidly moving upward, Alfonse kept his eyes on the tree to make sure he wouldn't hit any unexpected branches. He would occasionally look down and around in an attempt to spot his opponent.

Upon reaching a reasonable height, Alfonse started making his way through the treetops, quickly but steadily jumping back and forth, gradually moving closer to the ground in order to keep his eyes on the wolf and to have a chance at attacking her from above. He had no time to patiently wait around because the simulation itself was trying to wear him down, causing Alfonse to keep switching trees until he no longer believed Zerili could see him.

When he believed to have seen a chance to attack, Alfonse would attempt to directly jump down behind her, utilizing his limited martial art skills to attempt two quick punches directly aimed at two different pressure points situated on one's upper back, each running along the outer edge of the scapula. A successful hit on both would not only cause for pain but also momentarily take the breath away from his opponent, but Alfonse's punches hadn't been perfect making it a matter of luck for them to actually hit the pressure points. These two hits would almost instantly be followed up with by a long swing at her neck with his left hand, a move that could potentially inflict toxin on his victim if he managed to hit her skin.

Regardless of whether he failed or not, Alfonse would flee back to and up into the nearest tree. At least, that is if Zerili gave him the chance to get away and didn't happen to attack back.

Zerili - 20 - Wolf Girl
Zerili chased him down she was so close to stopping him from getting into the tree. Her claws struck the tree just were his foot had been and she growled taking a step back to glare as he shot into the tree. "Oh come on, afraid you can't outrun me on the ground little frog." She kept track of him through the trees by scent and sound. She really didn't have to rely on her eyes, the sound of the weight being added to the tree limbs gave him away.

Her ears flicked back as she heard movement behind, she didn't move fast enough to dodge the first strike it was painful but no more painful than what she had faced before. The second, she dodged swinging up with her clawed hand hoping to scratch him. Or possibly throw him off balance with her quick reflexes. She could slightly understand why the director gave him the okay to use his toxin, but if she hadn't then Zerili wouldn't have used her claws.

After all this was only a test, not a real battle. Her golden eyes glared up at Alfonse, "You have your toxin...come down and face me or are you scared you'd lose?" She said with a smirk trying to taunt him once again, hoping anger would make him slip up or actually get him out of the trees.

Karlos - 19 - Lone Lion
He watched the fight, very curious to see how things would go down now. He hoped they really did have the antidote for Alfonse's toxin ready to go. He didn't want Alfonse to think they did and then accidentally kill Zerili. He knew that would probably haunt the poor frog boy. He could only imagine what kind of toll it would take on not only Alfonse but their own team. Sure he wasn't much of a team player but Zerili had stuck up for him a couple of times.

Alfonse AtwoodZerili's initial taunting did nothing to the younger experiment. He was so focused on getting up into the trees that the sentence flew by like nothing but air. His mind didn't even pay time to process it, not finding it worthy of even a second of time. Alfonse didn't care for stupid comments seeing as they didn't hurt at all. He was more concerned about the giant claws that the girl possessed and was willing to slash around with.

The moment Zerili dodged the little frog's attempt at hitting her neck, Alfonse caught himself rapidly trying to stop his arm from overswinging, allowing a mere second of vulnerability to appear which was sadly made use of. Alfonse whimpered slightly as he felt the razor sharp claw run his way up his chest as the jumped backwards, leaving a painful cut as well as ruining the poor boy's shirt. Luckily, Adrenaline allowed Alfonse to temporarily ignore what had just happened, the young boy still fleeing into the trees, this time taking a more calm approach.

Upon finding a somewhat stable position in the tree, Alfonse tried to control his rapid breathing as he looked down at the wolf. Carefully tugging at his shirt to examine the bloody wound was enough to release a lancinating surge of pain that he would much rather avoid. Once again, Zerili attempted to taunt Alfonse who was completely unphased by her words. However, Alfonse was well aware that the wolf underneath him did have a weakness for taunting as she had recently shown when annoyed by Karlos. Alfonse didn't care much for an honourable fight and was more than willing to play her game of emotional warfare. His first attack: a simple shout.

"Stop talking, Dog."

It didn't seem to be terribly insulting, but Zerili had shown to dislike it and it would perhaps throw her off guard. Alfonse wasn't sure if attempting to anger the woman would be very useful, but at the time he thought of it as a clever move. Vicious, but clever.

Though the taunting itself didn't really work on Alfonse, he did give Zerili what she wanted. Alfonse once again lunged out of the trees, this time accompanied by a branch he had torn off the tree, currently attempting an overhead swing with the branch before making another swing from the side (aiming for her neck) as both of his feet safely hit the ground. Considering his lack of expertise in fighting with.. branches threw it aside as he jumped backwards, ready to counterattack any blows brought into his direction.

This series of attacks started a dance of kicks, punches, slashes, poisoning attempts and most importantly: trying to grab a headband. Alfonse utilized his knowledge of martial arts to fight back against the aggressive wolf, carefully watching for any given moments to poison her and take the victory. He would try to dodge most attacks, trying to use his arms as a shield for any others. Obviously, though, he couldn't protect himself from everything.

Sariko, now turning off the monitor with a forced grin slowly began to exit the room, stumbling a little and catching herself on the doorway, supporting herself on the wall as she began the journey back to the briefing room, her strange metallic wristband kept blinking and turning off and on almost as though sending out a message, in truth it was a signal to the director her defects were acting up once again, and yet she still pushed on, eventually arriving in the doorway of the room with a warm smile, weekly leaning against it.

Zerili - 20 - Wolf Girl
Zerili felt at least a claw land home and smelled Alfonse's blood. She wouldn't admit it in the fight, but she hadn't actually meant to hurt him. However, any sympathy she may have felt for the boy soon vanished as he called her dog. It was a very sensitive spot for her, she hated being called dog. Having been tortured with that name since she was little, she despised it. Her eyes narrowed showing only a bit of hurt, but mainly anger, "I'd expect that from Karlos but not from you Alfonse...." Her words were more of a growl as her ears pressed against her head and the fur of her tail ruffled.

As soon as Alfonse jumped down swinging at her with a branch she dodged it. She then smiled as he stayed on the ground actually fighting her. This is what she was trained for, she made sure to dodge any possible poison attacks. Almost getting hit by the last strike, she had gotten in just a few punches here and there. But she made sure to avoid the cut she had already made, she was mad and hurt but she wouldn't kill him. She had almost reached his headband, but he attempted another poison attack which she went to dodge but he nicked her neck. She could feel the poison moving through her but fought against it. Her eyes focusing on him as he back away to a tree once again. She tired to stop him but her aim was off, she shook her head with a growl. Before following him as he ran through the trees, she needed to end this quickly.

Karlos - 19 - Lone Lion
His eyes narrowed as he saw Zerili get in a shot, Alfonse came back with blood on his chest. A growl left him, why had she hurt him, it wasn't a real battle. She was normally careful not to hurt her teammates, or even those on the other team. If he had been in his lion form his fur would have been ruffled.

He couldn't help but to smirk as Alfonse called her a dog, it also took him by surprise. He chuckled a bit at Zerili's comment and watched closely as they went into a close combat fight. Now that Zerili had to watch out for his poison attacks, he wondered how it would go. They seemed to be pretty evenly matched, but he could tell Alfonse was slowly backing down.

Alfonse AtwoodZerili's words currently meant nothing to him, seeing as his primary concern was pulling that headband off her head. He was running out of time, so it was now or never. That's why he made such a bold, perhaps even idiotic decision to jump down and fight her directly, not through quick, stealthy attacks as the younger boy prefered. He didn't feel guilty for calling her a dog, it was simply part of the fight after all and Alfonse assumed Zerili would understand it wasn't meant as something personal.

It was needless to say that engaging in such a fight was naturally something Zerili happened to be good at, while Alfonse was mediocre at best. His job was to end a fight before it even started, and that was definitely not done by participating in it with his limited skills of martial arts and branch fighting. Hence why he was constantly trying to get even the slightest touch on Zerili's skin. Every hit he released, every slash or punch he took and each rapid attempt at dodging all lead to that one moment. That one tiny touch that made Alfonse almost certain he would win this battle. His toxin was released, and it would slowly but surely take her down which meant that, as long as the cold didn't spontaneously make him unable to fight and as long as he managed to dodge the wolf's following attacks, he would be taking the headband of a still, numb body. The amount of toxin he had released was minor, though, so it would most likely take a long while to become life-threatening.

Slight relief and overconfidence clouded his mind as he stumbled towards a tree yet again. It was just a matter of waiting, he thought. It would soon all be over and he'd be triumphantly standing in the cold with that headband in his hand. A smile slowly developed on his face as he filled his mind with tales of his own victory, ones that sadly would end up to be as false as it could possibly be.

Engaging in that hand to claw fight for so long had worn him down extremely. He was cut up, bruised and freezing. Alfonse looked awful, but he hadn't left his opponent fully healthy either. Still, the injuries he had sustained had been making him feel somewhat dizzy, and that dizziness was partial to blame for his tragic fall.

His numb, shaking hands were no longer automatically moving. Each upward movement somehow felt so heavy despite the poor boy barely even feeling his hands anymore. He was tired, lacking energy. He was cold, beaten up. These were all excuses he would think of later on, but they wouldn't change the outcome of the battle.

One faulty movement of his feet not even halfway up into the tree made the young boy's position unstable, forcing him to rely on a branch that sadly did not seem to be in the mood for a frog hanging onto it. It broke almost instantly along with all the stories of success Alfonse had tried to trick himself with. Soon, he found himself falling down through the bed of branches that made his fall painful, but not as painful as acknowledging his mistake. The boy desperately tried to regain control, but he failed, waiting for the cold embrace of the snow.

That 'embrace', however, was only partially cold and white. The majority of what he landed on actually had a heartbeat, as well as long hair and a tail.. and wolf ears. The moment Alfonse realised that he somehow also fallen onto his opponent, he obviously tried to get up. He was, however, in an awful state which resulted in it being incredibly slow and painful that, together with the quick removal of his headband, resulted in him given up. He just laid back down, closed his eyes and let go of his shifted form.

He had lost.

Zerili felt the poison slowly making it's way through her body. She was about to forfeit, when she saw Alfonse slip and coming crashing down. Worry filled her as she rushed to try and catch him. She did indeed catch him just not how she planned. He landed on top of her, the air left her lungs as his body hit hers. However she did take the chance and snag the headband. She held it up only for a few seconds before her body finally went numb.

She closed her eyes breathing harshly, "Good....good fight Alfonse...one thing though. Don't ever call me dog again even in a fight like this.... please." She was a bit surprised when Alfonse laid back down on top of her instead of getting up. "Um...one are you okay...I'm sorry I hurt you... Also...I know you hate the cold and all but I'm not a blanket, could you please get off me that kind of hurt..." She said with a small laugh.

Director Clair O'Reilly
Clair turned her head slightly at the arrival of the cow girl, she seemed to be somewhat out of shape and her bracelet was signalling that she was defecting to which Clair only offered yet another sigh. So much for her day off, so much for simply enjoying the match, so much for laying back and relaxing. Now she'd have to watch over everything vigilantly just to ensure the defected product didn't mess anything up.

Without offering so much as a word to the girl Clair returned to the task at hand, monitoring the match. and she did so with great care. Fully invested in the match at hand. Unfortunately, though the match did not end how she wished it to, she had placed her chips on Alfonse and his venom but alas the wolf was too resilient for it to take effect fast enough resulting in her win. And with the winner decided Clair made a short announcement "Zerili, you are victorious. Please make you way back into the prep room Sariko will administer the antidote there. Note the next match will begin shortly, failure to arrive and partake in a timely manner will result in severe punishment for both you and your team as a whole. That is all".

With that said Clair tossed a small vile to Sariko, she had got the message. there was no need for Clair to waste words on a walking talking defect so she set about working the statistics from the last match instead.

Sariko simply gave a warm smile back to Priscilla and nodded a little, walking into the roo, and watching the end of the match before Clair gave a sigh and tossed her the bottle, barely managing to catch it she let out her own sigh of relief and slowly placed it into a nearby injector-…. thingy. Sariko never could remember the name for it and personally preferred her own invention, sliding it in she stood patiently near the door for Zerili to arrive back so she could give her the antidote, the bracelet still flickering every now and then with the warning that the cow girls body wasn't exactly working at 100% though she persevered none the less as cheerfully as always.

Fawn watched the match with wide eyes, her heart in her throat. Her dark eyes seemed to spark with new energy as she stared at Zerili and Alfonse engage in an intense bout of hand-to-hand, but she felt her hopes plummet as the frog boy did, his headband snatched away by the wolf girl. To be fair, Alfonse's true strength had laid in the bet that Zerili would try and avoid skin contact, but that hadn't seemed to faze the girl. She had scraped the boy several times and had thus come into contact with his deadly poison. She could only hope Sariko got down there fast enough so that she wouldn't feel the effects too badly.

Who was next? Fawn couldn't quite remember, but she knew the Director would likely announce it within the next few minutes. Stepping away from the window, Fawn made her way back through the hallways and to her room, where she quickly made a wardrobe change. Throwing all her bloodied clothes into a bin, she pulled her hair back and examined her fatigued visage in the mirror for a moment before returning to the operations room.

Ryker slowly made his way to the operations room, where he sat in the corner, a rather sullen expression on his face. His anger had more or less vanished, and he harbored no more ill feelings toward his teammate, but he felt exhausted. His head seemed to pulse with a migrane, and splotches still invaded his vision from the few hits Fawn had landed. He looked over the room's occupants, noticing quickly that Alfonse and Zerili must have already finished. Looking up at the screens, it wasn't long before he scoped out the winner. It had been in interesting fight from what he saw in the recaps, but a short one. Pitting a highly defensive member against an offensive one hadn't been the fairest of moves.

Cow girl and her star-struck lover were still in the room, as were the Director and Karlos. Who was next? He couldn't remember, but he didn't want to miss any more fights, so he remained where he was, leaning back in his chair as he struggled to relax his nerves a bit.

Zerili - 20 - Wolf Girl
Zerili groaned, "Shit...what the hell is the director thinking. Yeah we have an antidote but you have to go fetch it..." She glanced to Alfonse, "Um..." She didn't want to rely on him, she tried to move her fingers but found only numbness. "This is going to work..." She tired moving her fingers again it still didn't work.

Karlos - 19 - Lone Lion
He heard the director's words, "Come on...get up..." If she didn't move here soon he'd go get her. He didn't care of it meant him getting punished. She cared for the team and maybe this would make up for him being late this morning. Wait why did he care, he groaned, something had to be making him sick. He noticed she seemed to be trying to move but it wasn't working.
