Clara @Britt-21

He was firmly standing at the edge of the forestry, when he heard her approach him. She had come well over the border, yet that in no way bothered the beta. "I'm Fuzen." he says softly, before he hears her retreat towards her territory. He looked towards his paws, and then felt a rush. He turned his gaze towards her, his powerful golden eyes shifted over her body. "Clara-" Before the beta could finish his sentence, a series of explosions rocked the world around them. A powerful gust of smoldering air knocked the beta back. He rolled in the dirt for a moment, pain surged from his neck and shoulders. He whimpers softly, and struggles to get to his paws. His legs give out, making him lay firmly on his belly. His eyes go toward the night sky of his territory and horror engulfs him. The sky was now lit up with orange and yellow as flames licked the night sky, embers floating through the air and igniting trees, bushes, and shrubs.

Fuzen whines loudly, getting to his paws despite the agony from his severely burned throat and chest. He turns towards Clara, "Go, run to the river Clara. Cross it and wait for us to round up the rest of the wolves. Hurry!" he barks. His voice held power, urgency. His eyes were wild, nd begging her almost. With that, he turns and bounds towards his camp. The heat around him made his fur prickle and feel as if it would melt from his body.

Once he gets to camp, he sees that the others are scrambling and awake. Hopefully no one had seen him return, be he knew that was unlikely. He rushes through the dens to ensure everyone is out of their dens. He leaps onto the alpha rock, "Everyone!" he barks loudly, many eyes look up at him. "Get to the river, cross it. We will be safe there!" he watches as many wolves begin to rush for the river.

Where was Tael?

Suddenly gun shots ring through the forest, several. Birds flock into the air, and the barking of what seemed like hundreds of hunting dogs reaches his ears.  With that he leaped from the alpha rock, and rushed towards the forest. His mind buzzed with Clara, and he growled under his breath at the thought of harm coming to her. He was running so quickly, he didn't notice the hunting dog approaching him from his left. The dog collided with the beta, sinking its fangs into Fuzen's scruff. The pair tumble to the ground, kicking up dirt as they did so. Fuzen growls loudly, pain throbbing from his scruff. He couldn't die here, Clara would need him. With that thought, electricity boomed from his body in a unique bright ball of power. The canine screeched and falls onto its back.

Fuzen rushes for the river, yet it stopped when a massive flaming oak slams into his path. A flood of embers sing his thick fur, and make him shut his eyes tightly. He coughs, smoke surrounding him now. His ears were ringing from the massive boom when the oak fell, yet he was still able to hear the sound of barking coming from his rear. He turns and facing five canines, rushing at him full force. Fuzen growls, yet the smoke was clouding his vision, and he knew that the blood leaking from his scruff gave him away like a newborn fawn.

She awoken with several explosions within the territory. She leaps to her paws, and looks around her den. Ryka was gone again, causing Ayka's stomach to drop. The medicine wolf rushes out of her den, finding wolves running every which way. Ayka looks to the sky, and sees the massive flames licking at the stars, thick black smoke fogs the crisp night air. Ayka looks around, wolves pushing her slightly to get past her. "Ryka." She calls, "Ryka!" she barks, looking around frantically. No one would be able to track the pup, the smoke was to strong and was clouding her scent.

Ayka frantically rushes for the cliff, her paws carrying her as quickly as possible. She arrives fairly quickly, and looks around. "Ryka!" she barks, begging to hear the pups voice. Yet only silence cursed her ears, but the popping and snapping of the fire quickly ended that bliss. Ayka rushes through the forest, calling her pups name frantically. Then she comes to a small clearing, and grief grips her heart. A small bundle of white fur laid in the singed grass, her pelt was stained with soot and smoke. Ryka was motionless, and looked so peaceful.

Memories flood back to Ayka, to when she found Ryka in the river. She has risked her life to save this pup, and raised her as her own. Tears welled in the she-wolf's eyes, and she slowly approached Ryka. Curling up around the pup, she whimpers softly. Ryka was cold, and no life emitted from her body. Ayka cries out loudly, before letting out a long, mournful howl. It echoed through the forest, masking the sound of the flames and the hunting dogs for a moment.

Ayka remained curled around her pup, and whimpered softly. Then she hears deep growling, looking up she spots three hunting dogs approaching slowly. Ayka didn't care, she felt numb despite her grief. She buries her muzzle into Ryka's cold fur, growling softly as the dogs approach them. She didn't plan on fighting them, they could kill her. She wasn't going to leave Ryka's body.

Clara liked his name, Fuzen. It was quite a unique name. Hearing her name leave his mouth, she looked at him and before she could say or react, a explosion had went off, the gust being sent in with the smoke which had the wolf cowering down to the ground and pinning her ears to her head. She was afraid, and she didnt know why... Either way she was going to push through it and when she lifted her head and her ears perked, she looked around for Fuzen who was now down on the ground and whimpering. Clara rushed over "Fuzen," her eyes lifted as she saw the no-longer-night sky and was now covered in an orange hue with a hint of yellow. Was the forest on fire due to that explosion? It had to be..there was no other way it could have set other than campers which were rarely in these woods. Fuzen got up and gained her attention, she felt bad that he was in pain, especially after all that's happened earlier between the dogs and the hunters. Fuzen had instructed her to run across the river and wait for him and the others to gather everyone else. As much as she wanted to listen, she had her own pack to take care of. But his eyes were begging her.

Though she did run off back to her pack, rushing to camp and looking around before letting out a howl to get their attention, Wake them up and get them moving. "Wake up everyone! This is not a drill! We need to get moving, move across the river!!" even though they had an Alpha, they couldnt stay here. The smoke was thick, messing with her senses and probably everyone elses. She shouldnt have let her guard down as she did. Now she was worrying about another wolf who she had just met. Her pack came first. Not him. Looking in the dens, she didnt see Ayka, nor Ryka... She hoped that they were okay. But that ended soon when she heard a howl which sounded of someone grieving. Someone passed. Who? Who was it? That howl was familiar, was it Aykas? Clara didnt know but she took off straight for the howl and continued to run till she came up to a small open area where she saw the white wolf with her distinctive features, curled up in a ball around something. She didnt move and Clara heard the sounds of growling "Ayka! Get up!" Clara barked, running over and hopping over her, guarding her from the incoming dogs "Ayka! Get out of here! Go!" there was a reason why she was crying..it was Ryka, wasnt it... She wasnt in camp and the fact that Ayka was all the way out here? It had to be because of Ryka. Clara's heart broke, knowing they lost a pup, one who was so young and had much to learn.

But anger welled up inside her and the hair on her back began to lift, indicating she was more than pissed. She was angry, furious. They lost a pup. The most innocent life form of this earth. "Take Ryka and go across the river! We'll take care of her there!" Clara was gonna do what it takes to protect her own. No matter what the cost.

He could feel the hunting dogs circling him, he closed his golden eyes tightly, stressing his ears to pin point their exact spots. There was five or so of them, growling every now and then. "What's wrong, wolf?" came a voice to his right. He snaps his attention to his right. "Are you scared?" Came another voice to his left. Fuzen growls loudly, causing five voices of different tones to laugh. That's when Fuzen heard paws scrape on the dirt on either side of him.

The beta lurches forward just as to hunting dogs clash together with a whimper, before growling loudly. The black smoke was stinging Fuzen's throat and eyes, causing him to be less observant. One by one the dogs dogs leaped onto the powerful beta, teeth sinking into his flesh, tearing fur and skin. Fuzen felt powerless in that moment, and had nearly accepted death.

Then Clara crossed his mind, and the pain of the dogs rabidly attempting to tear him apart subsided, the sound of the flames was mute again. He closes his eyes, and exhales heavily. Then with a burst of power his eyes open once more, he couldn't give up now. A cylinder of electricity emerges from Fuzen's core, and explodes sending volts to every hunting dog surrounding him. They shriek in agony as the electricity singed them to the core, before dropping dead in dirty heaps.

Without another thought, Fuzen hurries towards the river. His white pelt now stained with his crimson blood, one of his ears tattered and torn.

The beta arrived at the river, many wolves from both packs were gathered on the other side. Yet Clara was not among them. Fear grasped the beta, and he fled into Mountain Pack territory. He ran among the flames that singed his fur, yet he ignored the heat and smoke. "Clara!" he barked loudly. "Fuzen." came a familiar voice, yet it made the beta's heart drop. He looked towards his left, where Charon stood. The Alpha's fangs were drawn back in a snarl, "Why are you on this territory." The rival alpha barked, causing Fuzen to flinch slightly. "I came to help-" "My pack is non of your concern!" boomed the muscular alpha. "I am not leaving my friend to die!" Fuzen barks back, the fur along his spine bristling. "She will be fine, Fuzen. Yet I cannot say the same for you." The threat in his tone  made the beta freeze.

Charon lunged for Fuzen, the beta watches the massive wolf get closer before slamming one powerful paw across his muzzle, Fuzen felt his flesh tear, before being thrown by the rival wolf. Fuzen gets to his paws, electricity sparking from his pelt. Charon lunged once more, before a powerful crack shook Fuzen's world. The beta flinches as a massive boom rings out, and embers flare into the sky like fireflies.

Opening his eyes, Fuzen's gaze falls on Charon, who is now crushed beneath a massive flaming oak. Fuzen steps back, watching as blood drips from the former alpha's maw. "Charon." Fuzen says softly, yet no reply came from the now deceased wolf. Charon's body crushed, all that was visible was his front shoulders up.

Fuzen turns tail, and sprints deeper into the territory. Panic rising in his chest, Had he murdered Charon? Why hadn't the oak landed on him? Who would lead Mountain pack now that their most powerful alpha was dead? What if everyone blamed Fuzen if they found out.

Fuzen skidded to a halt in a small clearing, spotting Clara and a wolf she was standing over defensively. He watched as hunting dogs quickly began to lose the distance between the two Mountain pack wolves. A surge of power threw Fuzen into overdrive, he sprints across the clearing. Before opening his mouth wide, electricity sparking from his throat. An orb of electricity illuminates his throat, before he leaps onto one of the unsuspecting hunting dogs just before it could reach Clara. Fuzen sinks his fangs deep into the dog's spine, as it struggles and shrieks in agony. It twitches and convulses for a moment, before going limp.

Fuzen drops the corpse, breathing heavily as blood leaks from his parted maw. He growls loudly at the other hunting dogs, his eyes staring powerfully. His pelt was matted in his own blood, as well as singed and burned in many spots. He overall looked terrible, yet looked none the less powerful.

Fuzen turns his gaze towards Clara, "Take her to the river, I am right behind you." he orders her, his eyes held no question this time. Yet Fuzen had a familiar marking to Clara, three deep gouges across his muzzle. They didn't bleed, instead they glowed a golden yellow.

@Lethal Charges

((I'll just jump into this, let's all pretend Tael was dealing with border patrol... but not where Fuzen and Clara met...?))

Solid white satin shimmered underneath the Luna's light. The alpha rose his head skyward, eyes of solid white unblinking as he looked to the endless sea of stars. After the event with Fuzen and the hunters, Tael had withdrawn from his usual perch on the rock. It was a rarity to not find the alpha on said rock, but it wasn't unnatural. Ever since he'd turned his back on Charon and the Mist Pack, he would sporadically fall into bouts of regret. Of course, such sorrow hadn't come to him for many seasons, but encountering Clara and a few other members of the rival pack had dredged up unwanted memories. The Mountain Pack had been strong, fair, and good... now they suffered with small numbers, crippling territory, and the blossoming rivalry of packs.

Was it so wrong for him to put his own pack first? Then again, he could've prevented it. Perhaps if he'd...

Tael shook his head, the very gesture bringing up a gust of cold wind from his fur, it was best not to mull over the past. The past did little good these days. Yet he would've thought over it more, what he could have done, should have done, did... he would've made the patch of ground beneath him into a sheet of  ice from the intensity of his emotion and mind if it weren't for the explosion. It drew his head to snap to his territory from his perch on the borders, urgency immediately driving him forward. Within the breath of a second, he felt it. Perhaps it was due to his affiliation with ice, but he felt the heat of flames from a ways off. The very feeling singed his fur, made clouds of mist radiate from his body as he ran, and when the smoke came, he knew - fire.

He was met with his family's panic as he entered the centre of the territory, his gaze racing over the fearful wolves to Fuzen who'd taken brief refuge on the rock. Yet fear drove away the command of authority, many of the wolves of Mist panicking as they scattered amidst the embers that began to burn through the treeline. "You heard your beta, across the river, now!" His voice ringed with the power of his rank, reaching over the confusion and scared yelps of his brethren. With both top ranking wolves of the pack ordering a plan of safety, the Mist wolves quickly obliged.

In any other situation he would have called his hunters and sentries, Fuzen too, but instead he took to using his icy abilities and checking all the dens, all the crevices in the rocks and trees, and on the grounds of  Mist to usher any injured or frightened wolf. He made quick work of it, his fur an iridescent white that contrasted brilliantly against the eyes of  the fire that began to twist and turn in the trees, licking at the center of the territory's grass. Ice tainted the grounds enough to keep the fire at bay, but when the last handful of wolves and pups crossed Mist borders, Tael left with them, and his ice was abruptly devoured by the flames.

When his pack met across the river in unmarked land, he counted them, but when Mountain Pack's wolves intermingled, he settled to leave it for another time. The idea of roll call far behind him as it would simply draw the villains behind the fires. "Is everyone all right, anyone injured or missing?" He called over the forming masses. Both Mountain and Mist seemed to afraid of their predicament to take notice that they were now stuck together.

"Fuzen is missing!" Someone called amidst the wolves.

"Our Alpha should be here soon." Another commented, confusing Tael for a moment, "and we've a few others unaccounted for..."

Tael gave a tilt to his head, eyes moving to the ruined forests with a glare. It was clear that their homes were gone, and by the awful sounds of dogs and hunters, they were all still in danger. Yet as he looked back to the mass of fur, concern caused the ice that hung from his fur to melt. It had been decades ago when they'd all last moved... and with their history...

Nothing good comes from the past.

With an exhale, Tael forces a calmness upon himself and speaks, "Mountain, until your alpha returns, please hear me. We must make haste and find coverage. We're out in the open here, vulnerable to the hunters and the dogs. Will the second strongest of both Mist and Mountain please lead those healthy to the South as the wind will not be against us, it will favor us from the scent of the hunter parties. For those injured, will the strongest of both packs please aid them. I, myself, will follow at the back and do my best to smite any threats. Until Charon comes, I will do my best to protect Mountain." As he speaks, the wolves immediately go into action, a silent treaty made under the goal of survival. Only when they begin to move, the fire and sounds of man at their backs, does Tael catch the scent of Fuzen as well as the unfamiliar scent of a Mountain wolf. He turns then, catching his beta at the embankment, but his gaze catches a flicker of light, a shock of power. It draw his gaze like a moth to a flame, marks that glow like the sun... a shape similar to Charon's marking.

The medicine wolf breathed in the soft scent of Ryka, and prepared to be slaughtered by the hunting dogs. Suddenly, a white blur leaped over Ayka and stood defensively between her and her fallen pup against the hunting dogs. She was shocked, and quickly recognized Clara, the two had been good friends as pups, yet when they got older their duties became more important than friendship.

"Take Ryka and cross the river, we will take care of her there!" Clara barked the order. Ayka wanted to protest, but before she could one of the hunting dogs had lunged for Clara. Ayka flinched, shutting her eyes tightly. When the shrieks reached her ears, she opened her eyes to a Mist Pack wolf with her jaws firmly clamped on the hunt dog's spine. Confusion racked Ayka, why was Mist pack defending Mountain pack? Or was this male only defending Clara.

When the male turned and looked towards Clara, Ayka's eyes widened drastically. Three gouges in his muzzle resembled Charon's exactly, and it struck pure shock into the she-wolf. Yet when he ordered the two she-wolves to run for the river, Ayka didn't question him. She scooped Ryka's lifeless body into her maw before sprinting for the river, her throat burned with anger and sorrow. Why would Sky Pack take her darling Ryka, after everything Ayka had done for the pup.

She stood on one side of the river, which had swelled and durned gray from the ash that floated down from the sky. With a determined look, she took a few steps back before sprinting towards the edge. She launches herself over the river, only one of her paws dipping into the icy, murky water. She lands with little grace, and is nearly thrown off of her paws due to her momentum. When she looks up, she is looking straight at the Mist Pack Alpha. Ayka gently holds Ryka's limp corpse, her eyes showed no attempt in hiding her sorrow. Her pup dangled from her jaws lifelessly, her fur singed and burned in multiple areas. She dipped her head in respect to the rival pack's alpha, before gently resting the dead pup on the soft earth below her paws.

Clara was just about to attack but a large wolf had jumped in and attacked. From the white fur and the glowing yellow wound upon his Muzzle. Just like Charon, her Alpha. Clara then realized it was Fuzen! The male who had spoken with her before all this happened. Though he looked very dirty and very rough. Blood coated that white fur. He then decided to tell her to go and run off to the river "I will not leave a wolf behind, Fuzen." she said, a large tree falling behind her and causing her to quickly move towards him and brush her body up against his by mistake "We're getting out of here alive. Both of us." even though he had been on an enemy team, she refused to leave him behind. Her eyes landed onto the dogs in front of them, the lead hunter baring her teeth and letting out a snarl, ignoring the heat that was filling the area. That's when she charged at one of the dogs and with an easy grip to the throat, she whipped her head and snapped his neck, dropping the dog instantly and turning her attention to the last dog who surprisingly ran off, probably finding the heat too much and not to mention was out numbered by 2 wolves. Clara then turned to Fuzen "Lets go, now." she said, hitting him hard enough with her muzzle on his side to get him moving.

Talvaxious

Pack : Mountain

It would seem the elder wolf would have no peace on this day. The smell of smoke and fire and man, their pungent aroma laying assault upon his nostrils. Not to mention the combined scent of a large number of Mist and Mountain pack wolfs drifting from the other direction near the river. It was almost overwhelming.

In all his years, he had never once met a human he could trust, they brought violence and devastation wherever they threaded. Their powerful weapons made short work of any wolf, bear, or deer. The stinking smell and loud explosive noises like that of violent thunder were enough to make his sensitive ears ring. Oh yes! He had felt the sting of their weapons in his long life and it was never pleasant. Deep lacerating wounds that bled and burned all at the same time sometimes for days even weeks. He had seen the power, as they tore through his fellow wolves, small entry wounds, large gaping exit wounds often followed by an eruption of blood and flesh. it was gut wrenching even for the seasoned warrior and what made it worse, the wolves could never see what shot forth from those weapons. If a wolf was lucky enough to hear its thunder, it was a sound that never faded from memory. Humans. The very thought of them turned his stomach.

The Mountain pack elder, picked his way though the terrain. Not moving towards the fire and smoke however, that could only mean humans. Instead, he moved towards the growing mass of wolf scents mixing and mingling near the river. There was no overpowering smell of blood coming from the mass of wolves though and that meant an out right battle was not ensuing at that moment. But still, it had been many moons since so many Mist and Mountain pack wolves had been gathered together so there was no telling what was actually happening. Talvaxious wanted to believe that their large gathering was because both territories were a blaze right now. Alienated with the smell of humans and their hunting dogs.

He slid to a stop near a group of Mountain wolves

“Where is Charon?” he queried as is eyes roamed the wolves.

“We don’t know Elder, no one has seen him yet. Nor have we seen Clara, Ayka or Ryka for a while either”

The elder's gaze fell upon Tael of the Mist pack who was already on the other side of the river directing both packs towards the south then his eyes returned to the smaller group of Mountain pack wolves he had just been talking with

“Get across the river now! And spread this order in the process. No one is to attack the Mist pack. Understood?” He ordered sternly.

The others nodded their agreement and proceeded to the river crossing, gathering up whatever pack mates they found straggling along the way.

Most likely the wolves of either pack were to terrified at that moment to consider an attack but bitterness ran deep with some of his pack like that of poisoned waters and the elder could never be fully sure who was thinking what.

He glanced at Tael from across the river once more before moving toward the Mountain Pack dens. They would be safe with him for the moment.

It did not take the Elder long to reach their dens, but from his vantage point he could see there was no point venturing further towards the dens. It was too dangerous. He dropped to his belly and swept the immediate area with his eyes, catching the scent of hunting dogs wafting towards him from just beyond the dens. Talvaxious pulled himself to his feet and quickly turned about running as fast as he could back towards the river crossing. They were running out of time.

He was satisfied to see that there were no further stragglers upon his return, and the wolf made short work of the river, crossing it, and moving towards Tael.

“The humans are nearly upon our dens. We need to be gone. Now!” he informed the Mist pack Aplha urgently.

“Near as you can tell, how many of yours are still missing?

“A few the Mountain pack seem to be missing, but I fear we are out of time to search for them” he said with a sigh as his eyes met Tael’s once more.

“The Mountain Pack has few fighters right now. There is no way we can offer any resistance to the humans and their weapons right now. Gods curse the humans, curse them all”

Fuzen watched Clara easily break the neck of one of the hunting dogs, she sure was easy on his eyes. It was only when she barely dodged a falling tree did his breath hitch in his throat. When she brushed against him, he felt that strange spark shoot down his spine once more.

He could barely hear her over the fire now, but he knew they needed to escape. A series of cracks brought Fuzen to look towards the forest, and horror gripped him. All the trees he could see were collapsing, sending a wave of smoke, ash, and fire towards them. "Run. Run!" He barked, pushing Clara to run beside him.

He ran beside her as the plume of death grew closer, yet they were now approaching the river. Fuzen couldn't look back, but he could feel the heat from the black smoke and fire that trailed them like a dust storm. Fuzen could see horror on the faces of wolves across the river as they watched the pair rush towards safety.

Clara wasnt the only one pushing. This time, Fuzen was pushing her to run with him and that's what she did. The wolf ran with him, avoiding falling trees and hearing them crash behind them. The heat growing intense in the process "We're almost there, Fuzen!" said Clara, using as much speed as she could with her legs. Watching as a tree Fall right where they needed to go, she barked "Jump!" and as soon as they reached the fallen tree, she jumped as high as she could, hating the heat that brushed her under belly and she rushed to the river, jumping into the water but then getting onto the other side. Her heart rapidly beating and her breathing heavy as she turned towards the other side of the river, seeing the smoke and fire rising up to the sky. Her blue eyes landed on Fuzen "Come on, Fuzen!" she barked and waited for him. She had faith that he would be able get through just as she did. But she actually had used a lot more speed than intended because he wasnt directly in back of her.

His paws carried him as fast as he could possibly go, yet due to his larger frame, Clara was able to pull far ahead of him. While this worried him, he was determined to make it to her. When Clara leaped into the river and out just s quick, she had stopped to turn to view him. This warmed his heart and sent a feeling through his body when he met her gaze, she turned cared for his wellbeing. It wasn't until he had leaped high into the air did he realize Clara was far to close to him. He whined softly, worried he may harm her due to his size and momentum.

When his paws dusted the ground, he fell forwards and tumbled straight into Clara. He growls softly, shifting his body to be sure he wouldn't land on her limbs while to pair flung a short distance together. Fuzen ended up landing on his paws, digging his massive claws into the soft dirt and clutches his eyes together. A light dusting of ash and ambers swept over his back, causing him minimum pain.

Fuzen opens eyes golden eyes to be shocked, he was standing over Clara defensively. His whiskers fan out with embarrassment and shock, before quickly stepping off of her. He looks towards the river, where the plume of death was being swept aside by the fast moving river. His gaze then shifts towards the many wolves whose eyes burned into his pelt, some held amusement of his act of defense of the rival she-wolf, while others held hate and confusion. He clears his throat softly, his pelt bristling with embarrassment now. "I'm really sorry about that, Clara. Are you injured? " he says only loud enough for her to hear, how would others feel of him knowing her name. Yet he sniffed in her direction slightly, he was indeed worried about her and didn't care what the others thought. It was his jobs to protect others, protect and lead is what he does best.

The medicine followed Tael's gaze, the rival alpha was watching he large male and Clara sprint from a massive cloud of ash, smoke, and embers. She watches intently when Clara leaps over the river, dipping in for a moment yet she was able to correct herself. When Clara turned to watch the male, Ayka twitched her ears. Why did the Lead Hunter care for this wolf's wellbeing? Clara was known to be good hearted though.

When the male leaped clear over the river, Ayka flinched when the beta of Mist pack slammed into Clara, the pair tumbled a short distance before the male stood over Clara defensively. Ayka stared in shock as he endured the smoke the flowed over his back for her, before stepping off of her quickly. The medicine wolf noticed the wounds on the pair, and giving Ryka a look, she approached Tael. "What should we do now, Tael. I am fearing the worse for our alphas, our beta was well." The medicine wolf says softly, eyeing the injured. She had not spotted the medicine wolf of Mist pack, and guessed he also was quite deceased.

Kyomi had slipped away unnoticed from the camp. No one was really concerned for the she-wolf due to all the anxiety she scented in the air. Kyomi felt little fear, though since she really didn't care for her own life, but still something had made her get up and leave camp and now she could see why. She saw Clara beneath the Beta of Mistclan and fear finally overwhelmed her causing her appearance to change a. The poison sweat from her pads burned the ground as she feared for Clara. They had once been hunters together and Kyomi had forgotten how much like family the hunters had been since she had been made a fighter due to her sickness.

"Clara!" she called to her. She started to get worried and angry thinking that the beta had caused it,but she could see he was in a lot a pain and had saved her from danger. She started to race forward to help despite the danger that was ahead. "Clara! Please tell me you are okay!" she barked to the lead hunter.

IT seemed like that no matter what pack a wolf was in they could be just as reckless and the stress of this caused Yue to get slightly irritated. He noticed the medicine wolf, Ayka, seeming slightly shocked..

"Sorry I arrived so late. I had some... Family issues," He approached the red tipped wolf. "How about we both work together to help our packs?" he suggested to her seeing that she was rather overwhelmed and that he would probably just start yelling at everyone if he did it by himself.

(sorry it took me awhile to post, yall! I was so busy for the past two weeks! Anyways, seems like a lot happened so if I messed up on anything than tell me cause I tried to get the gist of it all)

The Alpha of Mist watched motionlessly as his beta and Mountain's top hunter escaped the fire's clutches only to collide and tumble, Fuzen ending up towering over Clara in a defensive stance that caught him off-guard. Then again, it wasn't quite a shock as he'd witnessed Fuzen take on to other females... but to a Mountain... he shook his head, ears twitching back to the petite, melodic voice of a red-tipped wolf. He shifted his head, solid white eyes taking in a she-wolf of smell build. At her words, he glanced back to his beta and Clara. He'd readied a reply, grateful for the spoken aid, until Yue had shown himself. "I would thank you for your aid, medicine wolf," Tael nodded to Ayaka, "and Yue, as well. Please tend to the wolves, but we may not stop for a time. We must put these lands far behind our backs as soon as possible. The flames of man will find a way past the river soon enough. We're already on the move. I'm confident that Charon is fine, I am sure he will return to you and your pack within time. He's too strong to fall to flames of man and their childish dogs. Now please, quickly check on Fuzen and the hunter of the Mountain." He turned back to the sight of the two wolves, watching as another wolf appeared, "Act quickly. We've no time to waste."

Yet at his words, he still turned and trotted over to the formed trio. For once, the ground beneath him did not catch on ice, but thick icicles still dripped from his fur and steady mist of cold radiated from his body. "Fuzen, Mountain wolves, I apologize, but we must move. Now. Come, there's no time to waste. If you are injured, check with the medicine wolves." His snowy eyes looked to Fuzen as he spoke, a steady gaze that challenged his beta for his sudden disappearance and the sight before him. "Clara, was it?" The alpha leaned forward, testing the air from the trio to scent for any internal damage. He smelled blood. "Where is your alpha? I would be grateful for his aid."

Clara  couldnt help but watch Fuzen, though, it seemed she had no time to react just as she slammed into her and sent both of them tumbling. She had been beneath him while he had been standing over her with his large frame. If the wolf could blush. she would. Never had she ever been in a posistion like this before, especially with a male...even of his size. He was far greater than she was. "I'm fine, Fuzen." she said, rolling onto her feet and gettin up, shaking out her fur due to getting some water on her from the jump. Dont let the past get to you, Clara... she thought to herself, trying not to let fear overcome her and also trying not to let it show. Then she heard Kyomi barking out and asking if she had been okay. Looking over, she dipped her head a little bit in a nod "I'm okay, Kyomi. Now that we're out of that Burning forest." many of the wolves had been staring at both Clara and Fuzen, which irritated her just a little bit "Can you all stop staring, you're acting like we did something. It was only a tumble and an accident. Nothing more." Though her insides said otherwise. Looking at the Various wolves, there were the medicine wolves, friends, enemies, everyone was all in one spot which had been surprising.

Then she heard the Alpha of the mist speak up, saying they should keep moving and that the fire would get across one way or another. He was right, it was going to happen sooner or later so they had to move. Then he approached Fuzen and Her, sniffing close to them and Clara assumed he was trying to sense anything from the two, whatever it may be. "I dont know where my Alpha is. I havent seen him since everything had started. I have no information on his whereabouts." she informed him, sitting down and resting her back legs for the moment.

Fuzen sighed softly, gladly Clara was alright. His pelt was stained with blood, singed, and he suffered various burns. Yet when someone mentions medical assistance, Fuzen turns his nose up slightly. They needed to move far away before he would rest long enough for a medic to patch his wounds, no matter the pain he felt.

When Tael approached, Fuzen lowered his gaze. The alpha held challenge in his eyes, yet Fuzen wanted none of it. It was only at the mention of Charon did the beta's gaze become stiff. He felt his stomach turn and knot, swallowing the dry feeling that had suddenly appeared in his throat. Fuzen stood beside Clara, his eyes firmly fixated on his paws, which were gray and he could feel his blistered pads. His pelt prickled at the thought of telling anyone of Charon, what could he say? They would most definitely blame him, or accuse him of murdering the all powerful wolf.

When Fuzen returned from his thoughts, he knew Tael was staring at him. His alpha's gaze was able to look straight through him, Fuzen could only beg the alpha would wait to approach him. He could not explain the events that took place in Mountain territory, not in front of Clara, not in front of anyone who may judge him. Tael never judged Fuzen, and had truly seen the best in him before making him beta. Had Tael made a wrong choice in promoting Fuzen? Did he not deserve the ranking he has earned?

It wasn't until a burned sensation across his muzzle made Fuzen remember the wound Charon had delivered. Fuzen couldn't hear anymore, his ears were merely filled with white noise, the type of buzzing that occurs when a bomb goes off to close. He slowly approaches the river, swallowing the lump in his throat that felt like gravel. It wasn't until he looked into the clear blue water, did Fuzen realize why everyone was staring. Why they looked at him as if he was missing both his ears, sadly, this was not the cause for the beta. His eyes stared at his reflection, his golden and white muzzle was sliced open in three claw marks, yet these gouges glowed a powerful golden color.

Some would think it made Fuzen look powerful, yet all the beta saw was Charon looking back at him.

Her icy blue gaze turned as she heard a familiar voice, Yue. Her eyes scanned over the handsome medicine wolf as he approached, and she exhaled softly. She was beyond pleased that another medic was here to help her once it was time to begin healing their pack mates. Her relief was short lived though, when a voice rang through her mind. "Don't blame yourself." came the soft voice of Ryka.

Immediately, Ayka's pelt stood on end. Her icy gaze snapped towards the dead pup, whose body laid in the grass near her paws. "Thank you." came the voice one last time, before Ayka's mind was silent. SHe stared at the small corpse, and whines softly.

She hesitated for a moment, before looking towards Fuzen who was now staring at himself in the river water. Ayka watched as Fuzen's fur began to bristle and prickle along his spine, something was distressing the beta. She contemplated approaching him, yet decides against it. She merely scoops Ryka into her jaws, and slowly walks toward a patch of  golden flowers near the edge of the river.

Talvaxious

Mountain Pack

Talvaxious moved through the ranks of wolves.  watching with quiet contemplation as the tension between the mist pack alpha and beta  rose moments before Fuzen excused himself to gaze into the river nearby.  He followed Ayka as she solemnly wandered to a bed of golden flowers with Ryka's limp tiny frame in her maw,  just then the elder realized that they had lost one of their only pups and everything else seemed so insignificant at that moment.

"I am truly sorry Ayaka, I wish i had been closer. I wish it had been me instead. Ryka rests peacefully where she is now" He finished  as he looked around; Some how hoping that his sheer will alone would be enough to revive the pup. But life didn't work that way he knew that probably better than any other wolf there, and the elder soon scolded himself for such thoughts.

Conflict arose within him. He wanted so bad for Ayka to have the time to mourn her loss, but as he looked past her at the burning hell that had once been their home, the scent of man breaching even now through the smell of smoke that lingered about the forest his eyes fell sternly on the she-wolf

"We need to leave now before it's too late. Mourn the loss later. We need to move now, you're no good to any of us if you let despair take you now." he said gruffly, almost a growl as he  moved between her and Ryka's corpse. It was hard even for the elder and his heart screamed as he met Ayka's eyes once more. "We need to move Ayka."

The elder's eyes flickered a dark sapphire as he tapped his powers. Even is she could not find the willpower to leave the pup's side,  his potent aura of willpower that he was mustering would be enough to give the medicine would the drive to move away. He allowed that power to spill over, encompassing the both of them with the strength they would need to leave.

"Now, let us rejoin the others." Talvaxious led the way, feeling the tendrils of  his power that connected them as he moved towards the other wolves.

"Clara, Tael, Whatever became of  Charon will have to be dealt with later. If he lives he will no doubt join us, let us not linger here only to end up as a pile of dead wolves for Charon to stumble upon if he does show up." He spoke up louder for all to here. "The No man lands are vast. I'm sure we will find safety long enough to decide what to do next his eyes  shifted to Tael's and he lowered his head in respect to the alpha. "I propose we move together as one group for now Tael of the Mist. what are your thoughts?

It had been many moons since Talvaxious had roamed the No Man Lands, and even then he had been stricken with the sickness so the place was even more vague to him. One thing was certain however; that anywhere would be better then where the wolves currently stood

Tael

Pack : Mist

Location : No Man's Land

Feeling : Calm, responsible

The alpha of ice lifted his gaze from Fuzen, finding understanding with his beta's averting eyes. The electric wolf had either done something or had witnessed a tragedy, and although it came as a hunch from his beta's unusual reaction, he accepted it and turned his attention to Talva. He would question Fuzen's wellbeing at a later time.

"Yes, I've already given orders that I believe Charon would agree to. We aren't to move as one, the warriors have been spread around and the medics are to assess and tend to the wounded while on foot. The start will be difficult, no doubt, as many seem to have fallen ill from the smoke and heat. Seems we've lost pups in both packs as well." Tael spoke as he bowed his head slightly, not enough to interrupt his commanding gaze, but enough to express his acknowledgement to the elder. "If you would, please go to the front of the packs and guide them. I will remain at the back. Fuzen," he looked to the wolf who had taken to staring at his reflection in the water, "will join you." Yet the beta seemed to not hear him.

With a leveled sigh, Tael's reflection quickly sided Fuzen's. A blinding white encompassing the blue surface. "Fuzen." He spoke the name gently despite his tone resonating with the tongue of an alpha, a tone that demanded attention. Stark eyes of snow narrowed their sights, "Come, the packs need your aid. We've no more time to waste. You can settle on your thoughts, your pain, at another time. I am in need of my beta." His tail flicked at his back, the only sign that hinted at his unease. Although the fire was still across the river, its heat burned him. Cold mist still lifted from his fur like a weak smoke signal. "Everyone else, follow the formed pack and... and..." he trailed, having looked to the the others who had surrounded them only for his wandering eyes to settle across the river.

A wolf of ash stumbled from the raging fire, and even from his spot he could tell that the wolf was young, scared. Even with the ash, Tael knew that the wolf was not of his pack, and although he was not accustomed to the wolves of Mountain to know all of them by name, he didn't quite recognize this wolf. Nevertheless, the law of the land and the wolf rang loud and clear with him.

He stepped forward, a paw grazing the waters surface. The water rippled in reply only to fall silent as a deathly cold suffocated it, devoured it. The river halted, iced within the matter of a second. "You there," he called, "we could use your help, cross quickly." He gestured with his head to the retreating backs of the wolves. The ice wouldn't hold long even with his paw still over the frozen river. Already the waters were eating away at their prison, reminding him just how exhausted the fire and constant use of his power made him.

Mood: A bit worried , but still relieved.

Location: across the river, No man's land.

Recruit's mind had been racing to decide on this action. Dispite the desperate situation he was in, his mind wandered a bit.He was thinking of the events that could occure if he would choose any side. His thoughts were soon interrupted by another wolf's voice . His blurred and un-focused vision soon focused on a certain wolf across the river. The wolf seemed to gesture him to join the group. To his amazement, He also found the rivers to be Ice, with the Alpha's paw grazing it. From this, he could only assume that the Alpha had used His powers to rescue the confused and shocked Recruit. Recruit's mind quickly decided to follow the alpha's orders. Although his mind wanted to give a few reasons on why he shouldnt, he did not want to reason at a time like this. He eased his stance and began to walk down the river bank. His steps were uneven and hastened, as if he had been drunk These steps were common for recruit, as he had to walk like this for the time that he had been alive.

He reached near the embankment and quickly scrambled to find friction on the Icy lake, only to fail and attempt to sprint across. He knew that if he would join the group, he would have to hold his own and support the others on this long journey. He could not slow them down.

He slid across the ice in a less-than-magestic form, stumbling and slipping along the river crossing. for what seemed to be a few hours (only a few seconds) He finally made it across. He jumped up on the other side of the river and looked back to the fire. He had escaped it. He stared at the burning beauty of the disastor with a frightened look. It was over, yet he still had another challenge ahead of him. He then looked over to the Alpha who had assisted him across the lake with his Ice powers. He gave a slight nod with a relieved and care-less look. Speaking with a smile.

"Thank you, B-but are you s-sure you want me ...(Cough)...to join the group?"He asked in a light hearted tone, sounding more of a teasing joke than anything.

He then looked back to the fire, enticed by It's bright and beautiful colors.

Recruit then remembered his original goal, and walked off to join the others. He stopped as he saw them, scanning the group of wolfs with a squint, hoping to find his brothers.

Tael watched in silence as the unfamiliar wolf slipped and slid along the icy river. If it were not for the danger that threatened his pack's livelihood, he would have erupted in gentle waves of laughter, but instead, he watched with a high gaze as he quietly urged the wolf  to run faster. They were running out of time. Already he could hear the dogs over the fire. The whole situation made his chest twist, Luna had definitely abandoned them. He would have mulled over that one thought, that one hopeless idea, if it were not for the wolf's success in crossing. With an audible exhale he removed his paw from the surface, the ice instantly beginning to crack and eat away at the cold more viciously than before.

At the wolf's words, he gave a slight tilt to his head. A silent sniff revealed that, as far as he knew, the wolf was untouched by man, did not reek of sickness, and did not obtain powers gifted by moon. It was odd, he hadn't been aware that wolves such as this one had lived close by to his and the Mountain's territory. Then again, ever since the events, the packs had been more engrossed with themselves rather than being observant of others. "There's no need for hesitancy, I have spoken and made up my mind. I am Tael, alpha of the Mist. For now, until you find your pack, you are welcome to form with the Mountain and Mist. Now, we've no need for idle chatter. The humans are on their way and the fire is closer to the river than before," he looked to the river for assurance, noting that it now licked at the embankment with red hot tongues. "If you are a warrior or sentry then please take to outlining the formed group. We need all the help and cover that we can get at this time. This is the most activity we've had in years when it comes to the human hunters." With his words said and done, he looked back to the wolf for a moment before looking to the wolves around him. He gave them a nod as he ran after the group as they descended their way down the steep hill that would lead into undiscovered land.

Recruit looked to the crowd of wolves, lifting his head slightly to see over their heads. He was on a hill, so this action was not too neccessary to see over them.

To his disappointment, he failed to find his brothers. He could not see them anywhere. What happened?

His mind went into a frenzy with the outcome of his failure. He already expected the worst. His chest tightened with the feeling of great emotional distress. He once again felt hopeless.

His thoughts were once again interrupted by the Mist Alpha, who had appearently given an introduction to himself. The recruit had not been paying attention.

"Hm? oh! uhhh..." His scramble for words gave proof of his lack of attention. He had to quickly think of something.

"Yeah, Nice to meet ya. My name's Recrui- Well, my REAL name is Reckruct- but everyone calls me Recruit." He looked over with a smile- seemingly forgetting his small moment of sadness- and found that the Alpha had ran off somewhere. He looked around for a moment of brief confusion, only to find the alpha sprinting off to join the others.

"Ack, stupid! quit fooling around!" he told himself with a groan, Mentally kicking himself to pay attention.

Recruit decided to watch the flames once more, to remember his once beautiful home. It brought many memories. In fact, he began to remember what had happened earlier.

"wait..." He remembered his previous moments , keeping in tears from the probable losses of his brothers. He began to give himself false hope in that they had escaped. Maybe this small group could provide proof of his brothers' survival. Recruit turned to the small pack and began to chase after them, all the while shouting: "Wait!" in hopes of getting their attention. He could probably find answers on where his brothers might be. Of course this seemed stupid, but it was his denial still shielding him from this loss. A loss that had happened some time ago.

Clara

Pack - Mountain

Mood - Calm but worried

Location - No Man's Land

Clara was silent as everyone began to speak, though, she did notice Fuzen walking to the water and looking down into it. Clara assumed it was his reflection he was looking at and as much as she wanted to go and comfort him, she was afraid of doing it in front of the other wolves. As much as he shown interest for her before this happened, she still wasnt able to show her own interest. Not yet. A lone wolf soon showed up, he looked quite small and very different compared to the rest of the wolves. He was a normal wolf. Not one of Mist, nor one of Mountain. The whole group of wolves were going to start moving, and this caused Clara to walk up next to Fuzen, gently bumping him with her muzzle, getting his attention "Let's go. Time to get moving." the female said before turning and walking away, listening to the crackling of the wood burning and trees cracking and falling to the ground. Their home was gone. Both of theirs. And now it was time to find a new home. A new territory.

As all ov the wolves began to decend down the hill, the new wolf was telling them to wait and Clara looked at the small wolf "We cant stop, young one." she said "We need to get moving if we want to put distance between the humans and their dogs." they couldnt wait, even if the wolf so desprately wanted to. "Run towards the middle of the group, you'll be safer there." Clara didnt know if the wolf was going to ask a question or demand something...

The young wolf- now finally caught up with the group- had caught the attention of another wolf. at this moment, he was hoping they could answer his question. The wolf that he would question - A hunter from the mountain pack- seemed to order him into the middle of the group.

Once she had told Recruit the situation, he seemed in more dispair than before. Recruit's brothers could not have survived had they stayed.

He hopped they had gotten out of the area. In one peice at least.

While his mind tried to get him to keep calm, Recruit decided to ask the hunter.

"Hey uhhh...do you know- have you seen my brothers? Prite and...and Corp? -from the Mountain pack?" He asked the wolf in a slightly worried voice.

The wolves he were describing were -sorta- known for their team work and fighting capability. They had powerful abilities.

Strange... as Recruit had none.

He kept walking along side the wolf, keeping his distance with the group. His walk was once again uneven, yet there were no signs of injury to explain it. He looked as if he was limping, with small sways of un-balanced force counter-acted by another. He looked drunk.

He growled under his breath, before stalking away from the river. Why had the cursed brute given him the same scars he formally wore? Fuzen did as his alpha asked of him and pushed his way to the front to aid in leading the massive group. Fuzen caught sight of some strange wolf, one he had never seen before. This canine didn't glow or look powerful whatsoever. This caused a growl to rip from Fuzen's chest, what was Tael thinking, the two packs are merged and fleeing humans so the alpha decides to take in some strange rouge?

Fuzen gave Recruit a stare that showed how unpleased the massive beta was with his sudden appearance, yet this as not his choice on who came and went through the pack. Fuzen looked back towards Clara, his golden eyes shining with intensity. She was speaking to this new wolf, and Fuzen watched as this challenged canine made his way to the center of the large traveling group. Once Fuzen caught Clara's gaze, he used his tail to beckon her towards the front. He would prefer for her to lead beside him, as he didn't particularly want to be alone at the front, nor did he want the female he was beginning to adore taking up the hind of the pack.

The hill was steep and slightly slick with early morning due, sleep nagged the beta heavily. He turns his gaze to the sky, it was streaked with red, yellows, and pinks. The group was headed toward the light in the distance, Fuzen could only simply hope that the journey before them would not destroy the two legendary packs. Fuzen knew Mist pack and Mountain pack had united once in history, would this mark a turning point if the packs become permanently united? Fuzen shakes his head, leading the massive group of wolves towards their unknown destiny.

The journey had just begun, and it seemed like he was already slowing them down. After he had asked the Hunter abour his brothers, He looked ahead to see - what looked to be the beta- Looking rather unpleasent with him. His stare seemed to freeze the new wolf in a state of concern and fear.

Recruit looked to see what he was doing that was annoying the beta. Surely his existance in the pack wouldn't be enough to annoy some one right?

Yet, all he was doing was walking along side the female hunter.

As the Beta released his cold blooded stare from Recruit, He Received -What he thought to be- the message.

It was either 'I regret having you in the pack you useless sack of sh-' or 'stop annoying my friend.'

He decided to take it as both, as both statements seemed to fit the situation very well.

He looked over to the hunter to speak

"I'm sorry sir- " He interrupted himself, quickly ending that sentence. he seemed to scramble for words deperately, with a bit of regret in his eyes.

"-Ma'am, Sorry to annoy you with silly things..." He gave a slight chuckle."Ill be heading to the front."

His voice was soft, having no signs of anger or sadness within the words. He sounded a bit happy.

yet he still felt a pang of sadness, the 'Reality' of which he believes himself to be. Useless. His ears then flattened on his head, the only sign of sadness.

He said his quick farewell and ran to the middle of the pack. once he got there, everything began to rush back into his mind. His chest was tight with an overall depressed feeling , His breathing was staggered and gave slight whimpers, And he felt as if he could sink down into the earth and never be seen again. He felt insignificant.

Recruit tried to calm himself, as this is usually what crying felt like. He didn't need to cry. He could not show weakness to the challenges he would face. He kept his head down, keeping in tears will all of his might. He had lost his brothers, and it seems this day just kept getting worse and worse.

His whimpers were quiet, and his breathing was still staggered and quick.

He could not hide it fully.

Recruit felt responsible for all of this. He could be blamed for their deaths. He once again felt useless.

Yue follows the she-wolf as he wonders where his apprentice got off to. Have a lost my apprentice? He wondered feeling slightly distressed, though he did not wish to show it. He was unsure why he always lived while those around him so easily died. They were all much stronger than he was, much more built to survive, but yet his mere ability to avoid danger made it so he lived much to his brother's dismay.

He Joined Ayka at the edge of the river and he looked back on the destruction that had been caused. It seemed like the wolf packs would never get any peace. It was only moments later when the two medicine wolves got settled that it seemed the packs were going to move together. "Come on Ayka. How about I carry the Ryka and you go check on your packmates and then we can switch?" he offered as he noticed the others did not really bother to wait for them.

Etu watched as the group started to move. He was unamused with the current situation and a little irritated at the way he had seen Fuzen protecting a mountain pack wold moments ago. He may act like it was all out of Honor, but something is odd, he though. Etu stayed back from the two packs sort of trailing a few tail lengths behind them to keep guard. That and he really didn't want to forget that he was Mist pack and not of Mountain pack. Still, Etu followed the group only turning back to see his brother with the Mountain Pack Medicine Wolf. He had tried to make sure his brother did not make it out of camp, but it seems like he had failed forgetting once again of his brother's awfully convenient ability. It is like he developed it just to counter me, he growled to himself before turning to ignore the two.

Kyomi did not join the others in the little group they had made, though it wasn't because she didn't wish to walk alongside the others. She watched as Clara and most the other hunters were blissfully unaffected by being near each other. Why couldn't I have always stayed a hunter? She thought as she remembered the loss of her pup and mate once more. Still, she did not tear up since it would only stain the grass black and remind her of how much her life was just a reminder of what had happened to them. She remained on the right side of the group a little ways off which probably seemed more like a fighter protecting the group instead of her just sulking. She admitted she was done with sulking, but it didn't mean she really had a solution on how to enjoy life.
