It was the first day of school and Kama wasn't even up yet. They had an induction ceremony and he was still in bed, not even dressed in his school uniform. He snored lightly as he slept. A small drool bubble growing and shrinking in size with each breath. Being as forgetful as he was, he totally forgot about an alarm.

Ferrus awoke to the screeching of his alarm clock, he smashed the damn thing which then had signs of cracking. He groaned as he forced himself up from his safe haven known as the bed. He quickly put on his usual mask and uniform.

Hurried steps carried the uniform-clad redhead down the staircase and into the kitchen. Though any other day he would not have been so hurried, his first day at a new school entirely prompted the behavioral change. After all, he had to get to the subway station on time if he didn't want to be late. He barely offered his sister and her husband a greeting, all but grabbing his things and running out the door. He barely managed to catch the set of keys thrown at him before slamming the door shut behind him.

'Alright.' He thought to himself. 'Let's get a move on.'

Slowly and reluctantly, Jun pulled down the warm, soft sheets that enveloped his body. His eyes fluttered open, blinking once, then twice, as he languidly pulled himself out of the realm of dreams. Streaks of sunlight penetrated through the window, blinding in it's brightness. The young man sat up in a lethargic manner, dragging his legs off of his bed as he rubbed his knuckles into his eyes. A yawn escaped parted lips as his head bobbed up and down listlessly, and he watched as his legs dangled above the soft gray bristles of the carpet below.

It was the start of the school year today.

Jun groaned at the thought. Pushing himself off of his bed, he sluggishly made his way out of his bedroom, brushing aside the long white strands of hair that obscured his vision and tucking them behind his ear. Walking with unhurried steps, he haphazardly prepared for the day to come before setting off into the outside world.

Nakauchi had gotten up early to prepare for school. She didn't wanna be late on her first day plus she had a feeling her childhood friend wouldn't be up on time. She brushed off her school skirt as she headed down the steps of her home to grab breakfast. There were toasts on the table and she smiled seeing a note next to it. It read:

Goodmorning my darling Nakauchi! I've went ahead and prepared you breakfast so don't be late to school! I hope you have a wonderful day. I love you. - Mom

Nakauchi had taken a bite out of her toast as she read it with a smile. Finally she grabbed her bento and put it in her school bag and walked over to Kama's house, stuffing the rest of her toast in her mouth. She approached his bedroom window which was higher up on the second floor. "Kama!! Are you awake?!" After listening for a response after a few seconds she sighed. He probably wasn't awake. "Hey Kama!!" After no response again that confirmed it. She walked around to the front of his house to the door and gave it a knock. Nakauchi thought about just entering but she was unsure if it was okay. They were childhood friends after all and she was only looking out for him. For some reason their door was unlocked so she gripped the knob and twisted, pushing the door open. Closing it behind her, she quickly made her way up to his room only to find him still sleeping peacefully on his bed. "Kama get up!!" She walked over to him and shook his body.

Medusa Rosefang:
Daylight broke through the gaps in the curtains, which danced gently in the wind. The light rhythmically struck Medusa’s eyes, the slight heat from the beams of light causing a gentle and warm sensation in her eyes.

Medusa turned on her side, facing away from the light. She was slightly irritated that her sleep had been disturbed, but that was expected, it was nothing new. Besides, she needed to be up early today, as today promised to be life-changing; She would be joining Tenbi Academy.

Medusa could not help but feel anxious, being the shy girl she was. Her previous experiences at schools gave her a negative impression about what it’d be like. In the past, she was treated like an outcast due to her gifts which the other kids and even some of the teachers labelled as horrific and scary. As a result, she had no friends and was mistreated by the other kids, both mentally and physically. The only thing giving her the confidence to attend this time was that the school was meant for others like herself, perhaps this time she might be able to fit in. She could only hope.

The white-haired girl slowly opened her eyes and let out a dejected sigh, “This time...maybe this time,” she muttered.

A short while later, there was a knock on her room door, “Medusa? Are you awake?” the person on the other side of the door asked. “We have to leave within an hour.”

“I’m up, Lamia,” Medusa replied, getting out of her bed and rubbing her eyes. She walked over to the door and opened it.

Waiting on the other side stood a beautiful, voluptuous, maroon-haired woman with a meticulous figure and seductive, pale blue eyes. She stood a little taller than Medusa, possibly by a few inches.

The woman, who Medusa referred to as Lamia, tilted her head and smiled at Medusa, running her fingers through Medusa’s soft and silky white hair, “How is my precious little sister? Excited?”

“Hardly,” Medusa retorted, “And please, big sister, I’m not a child anymore so please stop treating me like one. It’s embarrassing.”

“Oh but why? You’re so adorable,” The older girl pouted, looking upset, before pulling Medusa’s cheeks gently.

“Sister!” Medusa shouted in a frustrated manner.

“Hehe,” Lamia chuckled, letting go of the girl’s cheeks and raising her hands in surrender. “Alright, you win...for now. But anyhow, you best get ready. I’ll be waiting in the car in an hour.”

“Of course, sister,” Medusa said crossing her arms, still slightly annoyed at her older sister’s previous actions.

“Very well,” Lamia said whilst beginning to leave the corridor. “Also, I recommend you wear something casual, a simple dress perhaps. You don’t need to wear your usual extravagant attire on your first day.”

Kama was holding hands with two people. Although those people weren't just ordinary people. They had waffles for heads. They were all standing in a circle singing happily until some shadow-like creature ate the head off one of the waffleheads. That caused mayhem and everyone began running around frantically while Kama slumped down to his knees, holding his head in fear and shock.

He stared into a vast abyss of nothingness, slipping into a shock and weariness from which it was very hard to escape. His stare was unfocused and vacant. It was as if he lost a loved one right in front of him. But suddenly a loud voice could be heard. He could make out his name and the voice sounded familiar.

A bright white light was cast down on him and he slowly began to ascend to the sky, leaving his fellow wafflehead friends behind. "Farewell..." He said lowly. Finally the knucklehead woke up but he woke up with tears running down his cheeks. "I'm up now." He said as he looked at his friend.

"Naka? What are you doing here?" His viridescent eyes looked her up and down and noticed her attire. "Shit! School! We have an induction ceremony right?" He quickly wiped the tears away and rolled out of bed. He ran and stumbled around his room getting ready.

Ena groaned as she felt the sunlight awkwardly shine in her eyes from the cracked blinds. Her mother, Luma, was already dressed for work, dressed in a black and white business suit, while cracking a smile towards her sleeping daughter. After a little bit of coaxing from the older woman, she successfully got her daughter out of the bed and into the bathroom. Along the walls were several prescribed medications, most if not all, of which belonged to the small sickly girl. "Don't forget to check by the office to deliver your medicine. Also, please for the love of god, don't do that thing where you fly to your school. I don't want to deal with having to fix your mess." Her mother said this as she helped her wash up and get dressed into her school clothes.

Normally Ena's mother wouldn't be home as she would already be at work, leaving her to fend for herself. Her mom was a five star defense lawyer and a pretty damn good one. She went toe to toe with villains and often won her case; though Ena has never went to one of her court cases before. After washing up and getting dressed, the young girl walked downstairs and began to eat the breakfast that her mother fixed. Giving her a kiss on the cheek and patting her head, Luma waved goodbye and entered the garage; she was off to work. Suddenly feeling the urge to vomit and not wanting to vomit on her clothes, the girl stumbled into the bathroom and began to vomit the food.

'A little trouble won't stop a hero!' She beamed despite throwing up the rest of the contents from her breakfast. This was a regular occurrence, she would always vomit up her breakfast whenever her stomach was too sensitive to food. After flushing the toilet Ena turned on the water from sink and rinsed her mouth out, wiping her mouth with a cloth. Grabbing her lunch, medicine bag, and school bag, she walked out her house and started walking to school. "Wow puppies! They look so cute!" Ena beamed as she saw the puppies being walked; she ran up to greet them. Once she saw the puppies she began to forget the reason why she was outside in the first place; school was at the back of her mind.

Carter Phillips
Sunlight poured in through an ajar window, and a pair of dark blue drapes hang separated across the glass panes while limiting the radiant hue of yellow that was intruding upon the small bedroom. The vanilla colored walls were illuminated under the glow of the morning sun, a few posters of fanciful skylines occasionally interject the simple palette. A small bed with messy sheets is tucked away in the left corner and away from the window, the dark clothed footboard barely grazed by the stream of light is contrasted by the faux birch flooring of the room. Steadily rotating back and forth, a small black fan hums atop of the rugged wooden desk in front of the open flow of air. A few makeshift paperweights held the few hurriedly gathered piles of paper from taking off into the world; nearly incoherent sketches and notes line the white pages. Piles of clothes linger in their confinement, a gray plastic basket shoved into the far right corner, waiting to be washed.

The city is completely visible from the window, the street below already bustling with people just a moment past dawn. Lingering in the wind filled atmosphere, the light smell of cooking rice could fill an entire mansion if enough of the air wafted in. Piercingly, the lightweight door to the room slid open with a creak eminating from the rusted wheels as two gray socks placed themselves on the laminate flooring. With a relaxed sigh, a pair of used red sneakers were laid upon a rectangular tray next to two recently cleaned black high tops. The young figure gently sat himself on the tattered office chair, a slight groan echoing and bouncing about the room. His dark matte hair was brushed back and still damp from the recent shower. A white shortsleeve shirt hung from his shoulders, draping over the black trousers. Specks of dirt still clung to a few spots on his skin, most notably behind his ear, unable to be initially scrubbed away with soap. He really needed to get a better handle of shifting.

The plastic analog clock on the right wall finally rang; it always seemed to be a minute or two off. Rapidly putting a blue hoodie on over the white shirt, the figure dashed out of the room with the black shoes in tow. A small sign engraved with the words declaring the bedroom as Carter’s lightly swayed as he slid the door shut behind him.

Immediately present was the cramped green living room and joint sad excuse for a kitchen. There was a coffee table perpendicular to the tan couch, both were rooted to the light carpet. Randomly placed piles of technical magazines littered the floor, most of which Carter stepped over from sheer muscle memory. Left motionless, a single granola bar, his backpack that might’ve been previously outside, and a note from his parents reminding him to ‘relax a bit and to take out the trash on his way’ were sitting on the stout table. Slowly a smile spread across his visage, whether it was from excitement or the fact that AC/DC’s “It’s a Long Way to the Top” began playing from a small radio propped up on the serving hatch, he didn’t know nor care.

It took a few moments, but Carter was finally able to finish getting ready; he may have take some extra time to badly dance to the song. After sadly shutting off the radio, shoes now laced and being worn, he grabbed the rugged backpack before locking the sturdy apartment door behind him. Half a granola bar was still unashamedly stuffed in his mouth as he heaved the garbage bag off the ground. The complex he lived in was small and efficiently spaced, a square surrounding a small patch of grass and a single tree, but it was home. The faded red outside paint passed him by as he rushed down the cracked cement steps. Tossing the trash into the dumpster at the bottom, Carter could feel his stomach begin to flutter with butterflies.

"Ena." A soft effeminate voice interrupted her line of thought, bringing to her attention the presence of her long time friend, Jun.

Jun had been making his way to school, sipping on a carton of his favorite banana milk as he did. A familiar voice entered his ears, and with a quick glance at his surroundings he saw Ena squealing over a group of puppies. He sighed in exasperation at the sight, though his lips quirked up with the slightest smile. It was heartwarming to see, but at this rate she was going to be late—and being late was not gonna be a good first impression for her.

599002 Nari was already awake, dressed, and on her way to school. She had just finished her breakfast and was now looking at a paper on her walk to Tenbi. The paper she was holding appeared to be a map of the school. She was trying to find out where the auditorium was because that's where she was told they were supposed to meet for the induction ceremony. "Ah. Here it is." She pointed at a small place on the paper that said Auditorium. Nari looked up from the paper and saw the school in the distance. "Almost there." She thought as she placed the map in her bag.

Ena
Ena was amazed by the cute puppies that all ran up to her, eager to get attention just like the last. The owner didn't seem to mind much, even encouraging the high-schooler to engage with the dogs. With the owner's permission she scooped up a pure white puppy and held it in her arms, walking with the dog while twirling around. The puppy didn't seem to mind so much, occasionally licking her hand as reassurance towards her actions. This made Ena want to have a puppy so badly, though it would be a bad thing since she wouldn't be able to take care of it because of her sickness. Upon hearing a familiar voice the young girl happened to turn around, only to see that her childhood friend was behind her.

"Ah hey Jun, look puppies!" Ena was holding one up to face him, the puppy seemed to like him as it licked the bridge of his nose. She set the puppy down and began petting the top of it's head, it's tail was wagging happily with the attention it was getting. While she was doing this, she couldn't help but glance up at her friend with a curious expression. "Hm what are you doing drinking milk? You should be eating more... looking kind of thin." She began to reach in her bag for her lunch, hoping to give him some for breakfast. Long forgotten were the thoughts of school, instead replaced by puppies and helping Jun. Needless to say Ena gets distracted easily.

"I'm fine." Jun refused the offer with a gentle shake of his head, knowing that the other girl needed the food more than he did.

He didn't seem to mind the dog—in fact, he even knelt down to give it a pat on its head. It leaped up, pawing with its fore paws for attention and its wet tongue licked furiously at his out-stretched fingers. His expression softened minutely. It was in constant motion, wagging, wriggling and jumping. It was a living store of pent up energy waiting to release itself on the world. It was adorable. Ultimately, however, he ushered it back to its owner.

"We'll be late." The white-haired boy jerked his head over to the direction of the school the both of them were attending.

"K-Kama are you okay?! What's wrong?!" Nakauchi asked as she saw him wake up with tears. "I came here to wake you up because I had a feeling you wouldn't be up on time." She stepped back, watching him stumbled around his room in an attempt to get ready. A tinge of red appeared across her face at the sight of him changing. She immediately looked away. "I'm right here! B-Baka!"

Ferrus had already left his house when he had to face the sea of early workers. He struggled to get past all the coffee drinkers, almost suffocating at the tide. Though he still pushed on, he stumbled when he was free of the tide

"Why do I have the feeling this isn't a one time". Ferrus asked himself with frustration. Sighing he continued to walk the busy streets. "Its a damn good thing it isn't the far by" he thought with relief.

With the early morning rays flowing through the open window into the bedroom, that itself was surprising clean for a teen no cloths anywhere just a bed and a large mirror, along with posters of cars people and animals peppering the walls. Although the sun had cased the beds owner to stir emerging from under the sheets was what appeared to the a very young boy there neck wrapped up its a large scarf and wearing a jumper too rather unusual attire for someone to be sleeping in, there name would be alron having already been woken up by the blaring sun the boy threw the covers off of his bed moving toward the large mirror looking at himself with a sad expression on his face.... he still hadn’t changed....not a growth spurt or anything...just that same thing every day for years...he didn’t let that dampen his spirits too much turning his head around to look at the a few of the posters alrons body almost seemed to melt away turning into a sludge semihumanoid mess before quickly reshaping into one of the men in the posters, this process continued for a few more minutes alron changing into a verity of people most of them some sort of model looking at himself for a while he finally gave up on trying to find anything he liked to “wear” so to speak reverting back to how he looked originally grabbing the backpack he had packed the other day. Knowing his parents where already at work and not wanting to wake up his older brother opting to instead grab a box of cereal and take it with him as he left for school.hopefully his indecisiveness on what to “wear” wouldn’t make him late

It was to Akihiko's great relief that the train ride into the district where Tenbi Academy rested went without any hitches. For the most part, the student had been left alone aside from the occasional elderly woman who pulled the visibly uncomfortable boy into conversation. Nonetheless, he was quick to speed out of the subway as quickly as his legs could carry him, his gratefulness at rejoining the rest of society on the grounds above limitless. He adjusted the strap of his saddlebag quickly, taking a moment to straighten out his clothes and calm his nerves before continuing forward.

The coolness of a calm morning was truly what he needed to clear the anxieties riddling his mind. He knew his sister wouldn't have even recommended the school if she thought her youngest brother would perform poorly there, but this was perhaps the first time he would be going on such an adventure without at least one other sibling around. After all, from all the selfies he'd received from those aforementioned siblings earlier that morning, the rest of them were all off to some Private School his parents had donated a generous sum of their income to. The only one diverging from that set course was himself.

Akihiko cursed himself for the thought and pulled his phone out, hoping to busy himself with a video or some sort when a 'bark' that surely did not come from his phone caught his attention. He perked up and looked around, peering around a corner where he noticed a pair fawning over a puppy. One with white hair and the other with brown-

"Jun? Ena?" He called out, looking equal parts relieved and exasperated. "Since when did either of you have a dog?" He only walked a bit closer, smiling down at the puppy before shifting his attention back to the others. Ever the responsible one, he frowned. "Not to hamper on your fun but... You do know that we have an induction ceremony to get to, right?"

When Kama finally got finished getting ready and got his uniform on he ran over to Naka and grabbed her hand. "Come on! Or we're going to be late!" He shouted as he ran downstairs and out of his house. He really hoped they hadn't started the ceremony. He wanted to know about everything first years were supposed to know so he wasn't lost later.

Ena
The girl wasn't that surprised that he didn't want any of her food, she didn't mind sharing at all. "Oh okay but if you need anything just tell me, after all a superhero's work is never done." Ena placed her food back into her bag, tucking it neatly underneath her class books for the day. She instead continued to pet the puppies with such eagerness that one would start to consider her being a puppy as well. In all honesty she enjoyed the soft feeling from their hair, it was like her hands were touching a small fluffy cloud. "Late....? What do you mean.... Oh! We have school I totally forgot!" She waved goodbye to the owner then stretched herself to get up.

How had she forgotten the most important thing for her today? She didn't know how she could do such a thing.... maybe that's why she's such an airhead sometimes? Hearing another familiar voice coming from behind them, Ena glanced over to see her other childhood friend, Akihiko, standing there. "Don't worry we were just about to go." She smiled as she bent down to pet the puppy one last time before walking away from the group. If she had stayed there any longer then it would've been hard for her to leave the puppies, they were too cute after all. "Do you think that we'll be able to make more friends here? That would be fun... if we could become superheroes that saved people." She mentioned this towards her two companions as she continued walking to school.

Medusa Rosefang:
After completing her morning routine, Medusa had roughly twenty-five minutes before her sister was going to drop her off. She walked back up the stairs and to her room where she opened a large closet that had most of her outfits on hangers. The girl pressed her lips as she contemplated on what to wear.

“Hmm, which one?” She mused, looking through her potential options. She shuffled through the hangers, remembering that her sister had recommended for her to wear something simple on her first day. “Lamia wasn’t kidding, I barely have any ‘normal’ clothes.”

It was a surprisingly long search before Medusa found something suitable. With not much time left, the girl quickly got changed and rushed outside of the mansion in which her family lived. Her sister, Lamia, was already waiting in her purple sports car.

“Yup.” Medusa nodded.

Ferrus had left the concrete jungle through the subway. Only to find the huge school that he was attending. He was sightly taken aback by the giant clock tower that was in the middle of the school.

The place had little people to speak of. Well then again it was pretty early and he did live not that far from the school, so it made some sense.

"Well as little waiting ain't nothing."he muttered.

"Perhaps." Jun said softly in reply to Ena's query, continuing to sip on his banana milk as he walked side by side with his two friends.

More friends, that was a nice thought. A long time ago, he didn't think that he would be able to make even a single friend, let alone the two he had now. His ability frightened the other children, the way it caused his bones to slip free from his flesh in grotesque shapes, and the constant pain he was in as a result didn't put him in the mood for befriending others either. It was nothing short of a miracle that the three had found each other the way they did and had stuck together for this long, and adding more to the group was a daunting yet appealing notion.

Shaking himself out of his thoughts, his blue-violet eyes caught sight of their school in the nearby distance.

Nakauchi was shocked when she felt herself being pulled out of Kama's room and down the stairs. "Wh-Whoa Kama!" She went along with it, letting him lead the way to school. She really hoped they weren't late. Suddenly her face began to heat up. She had realized that she and Kama were holding hands. Nakauchi immediately shook her head and brushed it off. It meant nothing. She just smiled at her silly friend. Sometimes he really could be an idiot.

Echoing through the tough steel, a rusted lock clicked as the chains around a green bicycle loosened and quickly became untied. Carter was pretty sure there was an introduction ceremony happening soon and figured that he might as well at least try to get there early.

Wind was rushing past his ears just like a musical: occasionally being interrupted by a loud and possibly perturbed civilian. A small laugh escaped his vocal chords as he continued to speed down the sidewalk, it’s not like he was actually going to hit anyone. Buildings were towering over him, their tinted windows reflecting the morning sun and contrasting with the surrounding trees. He didn’t usually head out to this side of the city, the sheer amount of nature always weirded him out.

It took Carter a bit, but eventually he found a bike rack that he could lock his transportation to. Admittedly it was shoved between a tree and an oddly clean post office, but it appeared sturdy enough despite being lopsided. Another half a block later and he could finally see the top of the academies bell tower in the distance, glistening proudly in the sky.

Medusa Rosefang:
It’d been a relatively short drive before the academy came into view, it’s unmistakable clocktower which was situated at the far end of the campus towered above all the building surrounding it. A few more minutes and they’d arrive.

“There it is, Tenbi Academy,” Lamia said, lowering her speed as she entered the busy streets of the city. “Pretty impressive, right?”

“I suppose,” Medusa replied. “Indeed, it does look quite nice.”

Given the exotic vehicle Lamia was driving, they couldn’t help but attract the attention of the public as they passed. In addition, Lamia’s car is very recognisable by many of her fans. She’d driven it all over the country and even in Tokyo itself whenever she had a concert.

“All these stares are really making me uncomfortable,” Medusa remarked.

“Don’t worry Medusa, the windows are tinted remember, they can barely see you,” The maroon haired woman reassured.

Medusa sighed, “Still...Let’s just get to the opening ceremony where I can blend in with the rest of the crowd, and hopefully lose all the eyes.”
