Nora Ivy

"That's alright Madam Beth."

She sat across from Beth, a bit shocked. She had never eaten infront of anyone except her other chefs. She wasn't used to the feeling of self consciousness. She wanted to hide, but she couldn't. So she ate with the grace and poise that her customers always had.

Emotions were a new mutation of her AI that her chefs had helped her understand. But giddiness, being awkward, this was all new. All of these new people.. it was too weird.

"Excuse me."

She took her still full bowl back into the kitchen, retreating to her safe space. She wasn't programmed for interaction too much. She had to figure out all these new emotions. She was... blushing?

Mandy, for one, was glad the attention was not on her. She looked at all the androids conversing before continuing with her meal. How do they feel? She pondered that for a minute before shrugging and continuing eating. She doubted that she would learn simply from her guessing. Mandy would have to ask one of them, later. In the meantime, she would continue eating, partially paying attention to everyone else around her. That was fine by her. She was used to being ignored, even preferred it in certain cases. This, when she was in a completely new place, was definitely one of those cases where she wanted to be ignored.

Except for the fact that she didn't know how to go anywhere.

(She's still eating, trying to half overhear the conversation?)

Turner could feel as the upload was commencing that Beth was probing his firewall. As some sort of houseworking android, it was understandable that she might be intrigued by the complexity that went into military hardware and software such as himself. And as such he let the moment pass without mentioning anything. It was perfectly reasonable to be curious about others. And the fact that there were already so many different types of Androids in one place meant that there was something different about them. That was what he could surmise at least.

He gave a slight bow of his head to Beth. "Thank you very much Beth. I appreciate the upload and the reassurance that things will be safe here." He turned his head to Mandy and gave a friendly smile. "It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Mandy. I hope that you are not feeling too overwhelmed by being around so many androids."

Turner turned back to Beth as she continued to speak. "That is very true. My military countenance would give me away in that regard." He smiled at Beth. He would like it here. Things were different, but in a good way.

Before he could continue the conversation, the chef android took off deep into the kitchen. Perhaps she was not used to operating around so many other androids and preferred people? He made a mental note to check up on her later when there weren't so many others around.

Beth certainly seemed like an interesting android. He would enjoy getting to know her better. It was nice to have friendly and not aggressive androids around.

"That's alright Madam Beth." Ivy's voice snapped Beth out of her intense self-doubt session. She breathed an internal sigh of relief, glad to hear that the chef android hadn't been insulted by Beth's casualness. She smiled at the chef as she sat beside her. It felt good to eat with someone else at a real table. Outside of a few special events, she was made to eat her nutrient paste standing in another part of her old residence. The very act of partaking in a meal with another person made Beth feel more at home than she had ever felt at Antoine's house. It also helped that this was the best spaghetti she had ever tasted in her life. Although she only really eaten nutrition paste, she had tasted the meals that she prepared for Antoine to make sure they tasted alright. Ivy's spaghetti not only blew her own away, but really any dish she had ever prepared. If Ivy was going to prepare more meals like this, then this new life seemed to grow even more promising.

Turner seemed a very polite young man to Beth as well. He spoke kindly to both her and Mandy, showing concern for the young human girl. Beth figured that he was right about Mandy feeling strange about being surrounded solely by androids. Beth found it an odd situation even as an android herself.

"Excuse me." Just as Beth was making a plan to discuss living in a household filled with androids with Mandy, Ivy excused herself from the table. It rather confused Beth, who saw that not only had Ivy barely touched her food, her face had also taken on slight shade of red. Was she alright? Beth watched her with visible concern on her face as Ivy walked back into the kitchen. Beth hoped it hadn't been something she had done or said. She really would have to upgrade her social programming at some point.

She thought about following her for a second to check on her, then decided that probably wasn't the best idea. If she had been the source of her discomfort, surely Ivy would not wish to see her again so soon. She looked to Turner, her typical smile having become a small frown. "Mr. Turner, dear, you are quite the well-spoken gentleman. Would you mind checking on Ms. Ivy for me? I thought she looked a bit out of sorts as she left, and I just want to make sure she's alright. I'd do it myself, of course, but, uh... I just have a feeling that it would be better if you went." Beth immediately took another hunk of spaghetti into her mouth after making her request. Just because she was feeling self-conscious now doesn't mean she wasn't still in awe of the delicious pasta.

Taylor's scowl continued. "You're more robot than human. I may as well scrap you for parts...Or better yet. Follow me." She said taking a sharp turn down a series of halls and stairs, into a maze-like area. Eventually, the smooth new architecture began to be replaced by stone rustic architecture and eventually, the light vanishes completely at Taylor lead them into a deep abyss of catacombs and eventually a lit room, full of glowing technology, computers, wires and other things among the ancient rocks and pillars. While doing this she made sure to signal a call to Beth. "There's been a change of plans. I want you to escort the humans and any androids in your vicinity to the basement theatre room for a feature." She said before turning off communication and scrolling through Beth's UI and turning on her black market components on a timer, the rate increase in pulses every few minutes, getting stronger each time. wereplatypus3 wereplatypus3

Tamara tilted her head in childlike curiosity. "What would you like me to do here, M'Lady?" She couldn't help reaching out to the Young Mistress in worry. Something about her tone felt unsettling and reminded her of how her parents had been before they sold her. "Why should I care about the people who sold me....?" She muttered. Her hand fell to her side. "Am I perhaps too complacent for your liking, M'Lady?... I'm sorry. Serving the Old Master is all I know at this point. Perhaps you could show me what being human is like again...?" She tried to reason with herself and the Young Mistress as best she could. She worried about what this room meant for her. She had a brief moment of surprise as she realized that this was the first real emotion she had felt since her being put into service of her Old Master. When was it that she had learned to be so cold?

Beth had just taken another forkful of spaghetti into her mouth when she received a call from Taylor. She quickly put the still noodle-covered fork down before accepting the call.

"There's been a change of plans. I want you to escort the humans and any androids in your vicinity to the basement theatre room for a feature." Taylor said before the housekeeping droid even got the chance to greet her. Taylor instantly cut communication after delivering her order, not allowing Beth to thank her for the task. Beth felt a little flustered after hearing such a demanding tone from her new owner, especially after the very gentle way she had spoken to her when she had first awoke. She even remembered fondly how Taylor had said that Beth reminded her of her mother. Perhaps something bad had happened? Something that was putting the girl under a lot of stress maybe, causing her to speak more harshly than normal.

It didn't matter. Beth had her orders, it was time to carry them out. She stood up, her typical warm smile back on her face. "Actually Mr. Turner, hold on just a moment please. Ms. Taylor wants us all to come down to the basement theatre for a presentation of some sort. Could you escort Ms. Mandy down there, please? I'll check on I-" She stopped mid-sentence, just pausing there for a moment. Her smile became a small frown. Something was wrong. She felt very funny, like something had just drastically changed inside of her. She began to feel very warm in very atypical areas. She had thermal sensors in her arms to keep an eye on a home's temperature of course, but this warm feeling was deeper than that. She looked at Turner, her smile returning but observably more nervous. She never noticed how attractive the military android was. His muscled physique, his piercing gaze, his soft facial features. Beth wondered if his lips were just as soft...

Beth's eye twitched. Something was definitely wrong. These are not thoughts she should be having. Thoughts she hadn't had since her time with Antoine, with the attraction he had forced upon her. The memory caused an old hatred to grow inside of her, at odds with her building arousal. Her eye twitched again before she looked away, placing a hand on her chest, as if that would help anything. "You go ahead without me, Mr. Turner, Ms. Mandy. I'll go collect Ivy myself and catch up with you." She had to keep her back turned to the two of them as she spoke, not wanting them to see her gritting her teeth. She took off for the kitchen, not waiting for a response from the girl or the ex-soldier, her gait noticeably more hurried than her typical relaxed pace.

She entered the kitchen, pausing for a moment to take a deep breath. Her sudden wave of arousal had died down a bit. Was that damned black market drive flaring up again? She thought she had completely suppressed its more oppressive features. She made a plan to ask Taylor to take a look at her OS later, see what was messing with her system. She turned to see Ivy standing there, her still full plate of spaghetti nearby. The chef android looked stunning to Beth, with her vivid red eyes and lovely hair, but fortunately the attraction was a little more innocent this time. Beth smiled at her, giving her a small wave. "Oh, Ivy! I wanted to thank you for the absolutely lovely meal. I've never eaten anything so delicious. So, uh, thank you, hehehe!" She couldn't help but giggle a little bit. She hadn't flubbed her conversation nearly as much that time, so she was feeling much better. "I did also come to get you for a presentation in the theatre downstairs, if you wouldn't mind accompanying me. Taylor wants-" She trailed off as she caught sight of her reflection in one of the stainless steel cabinet of the kitchen.

She was instantly mortified. Two small lines of spaghetti sauce trailed down from the edges of her mouth, leaving red trails on the bottom of her face. How could she be so careless! Not only should she have been much more careful to keep herself clean while eating, she should've also had a napkin on hand to avoid such utter embarrassment! She quickly covered her disgusting face with her hand, hoping to hide it from the pretty android's view. "Oh, Oh my, I'm so sorry, I'm not usually this messy, I apologize," She said, frantically looking around the room for something to wipe her face. The urge to terminate her life functions out of sheer embarrassment returned once more.

Nora Ivy

She stood in the kitchen, eating her spaghetti, watching Beth walk in. She was stunning, even with pasta sauce running down her chin.

Ivy took her kitchen towel off her shoulder, stepping closer to Beth.

"Hold still."

She she carefully wiped the sauce from the other aandroi's face, getting a much better look at her features. She was beautiful, and seemed to be rather flustered. She focused on her task, giving a small noise of approval once she was done.

"Madame Taylor wants us in the.. theatre? Then lets go."

She turned, walking out the door, waiting for Beth, then continuing to walk with her for the rest of the way.

Sam

A man in a dark shirt ran through the streets of a city, screams echoing out in all directions as fire and explosions rocked the inhabitants of this city to their core. A bombing was never expected to be here, this place held no strategic value.

You find out quick how little terrorists care about a term such as strategic value when they bomb their own cities with mortars.

The male made his way quickly into the building, the sudden shift and collapse of dust onto his form a sure sign that building was unstable and that he should work quick. Lives were at stake. He found the first floor empty, but the second floor is where he heard crying. He carefully ran down the hall to find a woman in what might have been fine clothing had she not been covered in blood
. He scanned the room again, seeing nobody else. The woman, while alive, couldn’t move. He moved in to gently lift her up, seeing her legs were... definitely not usable. He carried her down, all the while telling her she’d be okay in her native tongue. He got her out of the building and offloaded her to the paramedics before rushing back in for the last time. Not thirty seconds after getting in the blasted out door had their been many loud cracks and snaps as the building came down around him: three stories worth of concrete burying him alive.

Sam awoke with a start, leaning up and scanning his surroundings, his face impassive and critical of where he was. He had no recollection of being moved, so where was he? He shifted, feet ha gig over the side of the bed.

Was this heaven? It was an irrational thought, but he remembered the talks people had of going to heaven after death. But was he dead? He didn’t feel dead. He looked down at his left arm, seeing the dented and exposed metal that made it up. He most certainly was still on this Earth. So what happened? He rose from the bed, faint whirrings and whines of minor protest as he got up after an unknown amount of time going unused.

Someone had to know what had happened, right? Perhaps the one who rescued him and brought him here. He changed out of his ruined clothes into a much more comfortable set of cargo pants and a grey long sleeve shirt. He kept his gloves on, not wanting to appear to scary to any humans that may happen to be nearby.

He stepped out of his room, seeing a hallway that only really went one way. He followed it down, making note of doorways and exits, mentally mapping his surroundings. He even came to a stop in a large cafeteria style building. He heard faint sounds of indecipherable conversation from the kitchen. Perhaps they could help him?

Almost ghost-like, the silent android pushed into the kitchen, seeing two others, at first it was hard to tell if they were human or android, until he heard them speak proper.

“Hello?” He asked, at first in Arabic. He paused, realizing they may not understand him. “Hello?” He asked again, this time in English.

A new person, android, walked into the cafeteria. He was dented and a bit damaged. What he was doing here, wasn't her place.

"You must not have recieved the updates. Madame Taylor wants us in the theatre in the basement. Are you hungry?"

He was moderately attractive, but she was still kind of star struck by Beth. She was pretty, much nicer than the women she would see out the kitchen window. Human women dripping in expensive jewels and caked on makeup. On occasion there were pretty ones, natural beauties. But most were repulsive, rude, and fake. Some of the clients were more like her than they were normal people.

But her fellow chefs, they were real. They were the only people she interacted with, along with the occasional waiter.

She realized her thoughts were wandering, her pale cheeks now dusted with pink. She would have to ask Madame Taylor about that.

"How rude of me, Monsieur. I am Ivy, and this is Beth. You are?"

He was about to reply in the affirmative to Beth's request to talk with Nora the chef for her, when she had a look upon her face. It was the look of getting orders. He knew that look all too well. It was very quickly, but she was back to her typical warm look and gave a new directive for him to accomplish, escorting the young human woman down to the basement.

"Very well, Miss Beth. I will escort Ms Mandy down to the basement." He had no idea why they were to be collected and brought to the basement. He hoped that it was merely a welcoming party, but his programming went more to a darker place. However, Beth had alleviated his fears earlier and he brushed those aside for happier thoughts.

He walked over to Ms Mandy and knelt down to get to her level to speak. "Come with me Ms. Mandy. We have been summoned by Miss Taylor to arrive at the basement. Please, come this way." He stood back up and held out his hand in order to lead her down into the basement.

"Tarama, please lay on the table," Taylor says, motioning to the old rock slab with a spotlight on her as she goes to some old looking computers and typing away while multiple holographic screens started to pop up all over the room displaying an array of code and information. "If you're not fun, I'll make you fun." She said creepily as the woman continued her work.

After some time she stopped typing and moved to a shelf full of odd tools. Picking up a few small pen-like ones from them and moving back to Tamara and smiling crudely.

She hadn't been paying much attention to the others around her. Lost in her own head, perhaps. She propped her head on her arm, rocking slightly. She wasn't sure how long she was unaware, but she quickly reacted when she heard her name. She looked to see what appeared to be a military man. He spoke calmly and seemed nice. When she heard the name Taylor, though, her interest peaked some more.
"She's calling us... to the basement? Okay then. Have you met her yet?" Mandy asked, looking up at the man as he stood up. She pondered how Taylor would look. Would she be like a grandmother? Or a young adult? She looked at the hand he offered for a few seconds before accepting it, blushing.
"Sorry. Um... lead the way, I guess? This is all so new to me. It's so cool in a way, too." Mandy smiled to herself before getting up and allowing herself to be lead to the basement where Taylor would be.

(Sorry it's all over the place...)

His brow furrowed at their reactions to him, wondering why they stared at him like they did. He looked down, checking himself over to find that one of his sleeves was half up, revealing the metallic visage of his left arm. He sighed, tugging it down and making sure it covered his arm this time. He looked over at the two female Androids, studying them once more.

"I, uhm..." His hands went to his pockets, a sheepish smile spreading across his face for the moment. "I'm Trevor... Most humans just call me Sam. Pleasure to meet the both of you Ivy, and Beth." He gave a nod to each of them as he spoke, leaning himself against the wall. "i... No I'm not hungry, thanks. I neglected to answer before."

He paused. Had she said something about someone named Taylor. "Who is Taylor? Do they own all of you?" He asked, seeming more and more confused as time went on, any answer just leading to more questions.

"I have not met her yet. But from what I have heard about her. She must be quite friendly and kind. Especially to have taken in so many Androids and wayward humans." He smiled at her at that last bit of conversation. Based on the information that he had gained from the others, especially Beth since she was the one that had so far engaged him in conversation the most, it was to be an accurate assessment. He had hoped that this would prove true. He did not wish to frighten or endanger this young girl.

He began to escort her to the basement, holding the young girl's hand, having had the location uploaded previously by Beth. Hopefully he will be ale to continue to have further conversations with Beth. She seemed interesting and he wished to know more about the other, more peaceful side, rather than the violent one that he was familiar with.

"Yes, it is an interesting thing, to be in this new place, away from the danger that I knew before."
They arrived at the basement to watch the current scene unfold.

Tamara backed away slowly from the mistress. "M'Lady, exactly what is your intent with me?" She was truly scared for her safety. She found herself remembering her days of reprogramming when she refused to be compliant with the Old Master's wishes.

"Lay on the table now dear, or I'll make you," Taylor said coldly as she sat on the console she was working at. Her eyes flashing read as Tamara's motors were overridden by outside control forcing the girl to climb on the table and lay down. Then which Taylor took the time to strap her in herself, rubbing Tamara's head gently "You're so...Weak. You don't even seem to care your family is happy living with a copy of you. Oh boohoo your previous Owner was scary. Cry me a river sweetie. You. Are. Pathetic. Maybe I should just ruin your family for you. Since they don't seem to mean anything." She monologued as she continued to wire things up, bringing the archaic room to life as large wires and stone artifacts lit up a bright green and hum of machinery filled the silence. Sayo would end up in the theature, as she took a seat, The human shaking nervous about the androids everywhere, unsure if they were regular humans like herself.

Beth's mortification over having presented herself to Ivy with pasta sauce streaking her chin appeared to be unfounded. As she nearly came apart in her search for something to clean herself with, the chef android casually walked up to her and used the kitchen towel she was carrying to wipe Beth's face. Beth was stunned into silence as Ivy carefully rubbed the towel over her face, cleaning away every bit of the pasta sauce. Beth couldn't stop staring at Ivy's face as she went about her task. It wasn't just that Ivy was quite beautiful. It was also the fact that no one had done something so nice for her, not in a very long time. She was glad she didn't have the capacity to cry, because she felt she wouldn't be able to resist doing so at Ivy's kindness. Instead, she stood very still to let Ivy wipe her face, occasionally looking into the chef's lovely eyes.

Even as Ivy finished up, Beth wished she had taken a little longer. "Madame Taylor wants us in the.. theatre? Then let's go," Ivy said before making her way out of the kitchen. Beth quickly followed behind, giving her a quiet "thank you" as they passed through the door to the cafeteria. Beth had hoped to say more, but the two androids were immediately greeted by another language. Beth had support for multiple languages but this wasn't one of them. However, she did take note of the person who had addressed them. He was a handsome man, with well-kept brown hair and bright eyes that looked almost orange. He was most likely an android too, as evidenced from his metal arm. Most prostheses for humans looked much sleeker than the man's powerful looking appendage. Beth couldn't help but stare at the arm, not used to seeing what lay under androids' synthetic skin.

Fortunately, the man addressed them in English next. "Hello?" He asked, almost startling Beth as she was continuing her examination. Fortunately Ivy was quicker to answer the new android. "You must not have received the updates. Madame Taylor wants us in the theatre in the basement. Are you hungry?" Beth was taken back once more. Ivy was already making sure he was taken care of, how kind of her! She truly was the sweetest person Beth had ever known. She felt a burning urge to sweep her up into her arms, kiss her deeply, tear off that restrictive outfit...

Beth's eye twitched as she realized it was happening again. That severe desire emanating from that blasted black market drive of hers, planting a want, a need, in her to do things that sickened her. She turned away from the two other androids as they continued to converse, raising her hand to her mouth and biting into it. She did have pain receptors, and hoped to fight back the urges that were growing inside her by activating them. She bit so deeply that synthetic blood began welling up from the marks in her hand, but she didn't mind. Feeling pain was better than feeling...whatever she was feeling.

"Who is Taylor? Do they own all of you?" Sam said, bringing Beth's attention back to the conversation. "Yes. She's our owner. Ivy, why don't you perform a manual uplink with Mr. Trevor? I'll meet you two there!" She rushed off past the two of them, careful to hide her fresh bite mark with her other hand and to avoid looking at either of them. Normally she would've been embarrassed by how curt she was, but she was worried about bigger issues. The black market drive had never made her feel and act like this, even back in her Antoine days. She had to speak with Taylor about this. She picked up speed, traveling much faster than her typical relaxed pace until she arrived at the theatre. She looked around, finding an empty seat near a young, short-haired girl that appeared to be human. A miracle for Beth, someone she could sit by that wouldn't activate her Black Drive. She sidled up beside the girl and gently tapped her shoulder, giving her a warm smile. "Excuse me, miss. Would you mind if I sat beside you?"

Mandy nodded, a little solemn.
"Well, I hope you're okay now. Can androids get PTSD, as well?" Mandy wondered aloud, tilting her head to one side. Then, they arrived at the basement theatre area. She quickly let Beth rush into the theatre. There weren't very many people here yet. As, she slowly looked around the room, she realized there were two people she didn't know the names to. One was sitting, shivering nervously as Beth tried to talk to her. She wondered how the conversation was going. The other was, well, the person- wait, android?- she walked here with. She quickly blushed in embarrassment and turned back to the military man.
"Um... I'm really sorry, what's your name?" Mandy asked, bouncing around a bit. Her energy was creeping up on her, and she knew she would soon be exploring this entire place as much as she felt comfortable with. But for now, she glanced at the military man, still embarrassed that she hadn't asked him his name in the cafeteria/tables.

Sayo would stare at her, her eyes darting away. "Y-your... human..?" She spoke, her voice quiet, she was quite young, her black hair a mess she would go back to being silent.

Tamara closed her eyes as she fought to hide the terror welling up within her. "I'm sorry, M'Lady... I only care about my siblings." She bit her lip. "I only wish to serve you and be useful again. Please give me that chance."

"I am alright currently, Miss. I did not mean to alarm you." He was listening to her speaking aloud her thoughts and realized how troubling his comments might have been and how they made her feel. He was not truly built for such communications with civilians, but he will have to try better. After all, if there are humans here and he is to interact with them in a none combat type of level, he would need to be better at actually communicating with them.

She asked him his name. She must have been preoccupied with the food when he had introduced himself to the three of them in the kitchen. Humans were always prone to distractions. At least that is something that was in his programming and during combat was something that he could take advantage of. But that was neither here, nor there.

"My name is Turner, Miss Mandy." He once again smiled warmly at her, at least as warmly as an android could. He was trying his best to make her feel comfortable.

He sat down to watch, but he still wasn't sure what was going on. There seemed to be a table and a discussion going on between two people? Androids? It was difficult to be certain from this angle.

He replied. Mandy smiled. "Thanks, Turner." She bounded over to the other girl, smiled, and waved.
"Hello!"
"Y-your... human?" The girl looked up at her nervously.
"Why, yes! I'm assuming you are as well. Welcome! It's a really cool place, right? Although, it takes sad beginnings to come here, huh? Oh well. I wonder what she has prepared for us. How old are you? I'm 15, so technically, I should be in high school. Oh yeah, I wonder what they do for education. Or is it constant vacation? That would be cool." Mandy rambled on, before blushing, and scratching her neck. "Sorry, got a little a head of myself."
