The Awakening.
That night, ripples of a rainbow-like aurora scatter everywhere in the world. Many at the time, saw it as a harmless phenomenon.
Unbeknownst to them, few who had looked at the aurora fainted during that time, and woke up the next day.
It was then when they first gain their 'Supernatural' abilities.
We call them, the 'Opes', a latin term for Power.
January 2, 2005.
The first Opes was discovered due to a random bank robbery in California.
Mark Opus, a young salesman, was recorded shooting sharp crystals seemingly out of nowhere, injuring one of the robbers.
It was then that the world discovered their existence, the world acted rashly and declared them
'Dangerous'
and have nearly 2/3 Opes who had shown their powers to the world arrested, even if they didn't commit a crime.
Most Opes wouldn't DARE show their powers to the world, their population slowly dwindling with the arrests happening over the years.
March 30, 2010.
A new law had passed down.
The 'Opes Equality' Act stated that Opes shall be treated as one and the same.
Albeit, limited.
If they're shown harming someone with their powers, they will be tried.
Some are skeptical about this law, saying that the Opes have no right in this world.
Thus, Rebellion formed under the shadows.
The same day at the very next year.
Albus Query Burr formed a new institute in which the Opes shall learn to control their powers for the benefit the country entitled
The Supernatural Academy For Aspiring Heroes.
He had the President approve of it.
Construction of the Campus began that day on New York and ended at February 10 of 2015.
In it's first school year, Albus had it's students patrol the streets and do heroic deeds.
The people's reactions were mixed, albeit lessened the crime rate of the country tenfold.
It produced one of the most heroic Opes in history;
Markus Quartz, the Crystal Hero.
Aside from his kind nature, he had reformed many major villains.
Since then, the Opes are slowly getting accepted to society in peace...
