Forest Village ---> Samus' Ship

Once Peach provided her with a cart, Samus thanked her with a nod before carefully placing the filled jars in a neatly organized fashion. While the dirt road wasn't as rough compared to others, being mostly flat with few significant inclines and rocks, she wasn't going to let a single jar go to waste under her watch. Any amount of fuel was crucial; especially for a ship as active and picky as a bounty hunter's. Even a drop could determine whether or not she makes it to her destination and back. Spanning across the distant reaches of space and danger mean't that even calling for assistance was not always possible, or even dangerous. And at worst whether she - as well as those with her - lived or died.

Gripping the cart's left handle with her available arm, she and the others slowly began making their way back to the ship with relatively no issue. The trip was mostly quiet, yet peaceful. Samus found herself lost in thought, taking in the brief moment of peace to collect their thoughts and plan out their next course of action. There was plenty to places to go, plenty of things to do, and plenty of fighters to encounter. Samus could tell Peach was also lost in general thought, though to her she could feel just a subtle hint of worry from her expression. She couldn't tell exactly what Her Majesty was thinking, but neither was she going to interrupt her.

She could only give a reasonable guess.

Yet as they see the ship in view, Samus would immediately notice that someone was waiting for them. Though thanks to Peach's ecstatic response, the bounty hunter would have nothing to fear. For it was yet another royal princess of legendary status - the one and only Princess Zelda of Hyrule! It was rare enough to see one person of royalty in these parts; and rarer still was it to see TWO together in one place at the same time this early. Her appearance was surely unexpected, but always a much welcomed one. Approaching the Princess of Hyrule, Samus plopped the cart down and gave her a courteous bow.

"You've come at the perfect time, Your Hylianess," the huntress quipped with a gleam in her eyes that only vaguely shown through her visor, "We were just about to fuel up and take our leave." She then outstretched her welcoming arm towards the entry hatch. "Feel free to relax inside; there's plenty of room. We'll catch you up with the recent events once we get in the air."

Though just as she was about to go over and open the ship's fuel hatch, Samus' gaze came across three other particular faces standing behind Zelda. Among them was a small tan and orange anthropomorphic bunny, who had a smaller yellow and cyan flying companion directly accompanying her. While she knew not what her name was, her looks gave a vague aura of familiarity. Meanwhile, the figure beside them resembled one of the mii fighters in overall stature and looks, but had a design that didn't resemble the original trio that represented them.

"And who might they be?" Samus stated with an inquisitive, albeit slightly cautious, tone, before looking at Zelda with a smirk, "I see someone has been making some new friends~"

While she could understand Pit's concerns, Mythra was glad he came to agreement. As much as she didn't want to leave the people of this area in harms way, the possibility of causing bigger issues for them by taking out the follower that lurked around would bring them a far bigger problems for them. They could at least avoid that. Of course, if they did encounter this "Krook" individual, then they could deal with him properly, but it would need to be away from the islands to avoid putting them in danger. Taking the fight as far away as possible for the better, although even then Mythra felt uneasy about it all. She couldn't help but always think back to the Aegis War, and how even despite the distance they had put between them and the town, the town had been destroyed and hundreds of lives had been lost. Would that happen again here? She wasn't sure.

Stifling those feelings, the blonde stayed silent as the barkeep brought out a chest full of pirate and other sailing related clothing. As much as she disliked the idea of disguises, Mythra understood the necessity of it. The three of them stood out like sore thumbs after all, though even with disguises she wasn't sure how well they'd blend in with the others around. Pit still had his wings, Toon Link, while probably the easiest of the three to blend in, still had his cartoony appearance as well as having the disadvantage of looking like a Link, and of course, she had her core crystal. It was impossible to get rid of it, though thankfully, she could cover it. Still, one glimpse of it would likely give her away. It always had back on Alrest. Then again, unlike most blades who bore a vibrant blue crystal, her emerald green one stood out. Here, that wasn't much of a problem.

Despite her concerns, Mythra knew she had no other choice but to go along with such a plan. Moving over to the chest of clothing, she picked through it, grabbing a few different things to try just in case she didn't like how something fit. When she finished grabbing things, she swiftly moved towards the room she had been offered to change in.

Finding herself alone, the Aegis dumped the clothes she had collected and rummaged through them to pick the first one to try on. It was a short, brown leathered dress with dark leggings and a red headband. The look certainly did not fit Mythra and as she stared at herself in the room's mirror, her own displeasure in the look was easy to see. "Not this one," she grumbled before moving to grab the second outfit. Unlike the first, the second out was far better. The loose, white blouse dress with a royal red corset over top it was a much better look, especially when paired with the black leggings from the first and a pirate hat. The only problem was her core crystal.

Standing in front of the mirror, Mythra quietly tapped a figure against the crystal embedded on her chest and gave a soft huff. There was no hiding it in this outfit. The neckline of the dress was too low and she had grabbed nothing that could cover it. She would simply have to hope it wasn't going to be a dead give away like she feared. Moving away from the mirror, she finished the outfit off with the pair of black boots she had grabbed and a single golden hoop earring to replace the emerald ones she usually wore. Satisfied with her appearance, she gathered the outfit she hadn't gone with and made her way out of the room.

Moving back over to the chest, she dumped the second outfit into it before turning her attention towards her companions once again. Much to her surprise, Pit seemed to be wearing similar colors to her which caused her face to wrinkle in disgust, but that expression was short lived as her eyes landed on her second partner. Throwing a hand over her mouth to hold back a snicker, Mythra found herself amuse by the Hylian's disguise, but again her amusement would be short.

Seeing the kremlins burst into the bar, the Aegis' gaze instantly became harsh, and in the moment she was prepared to manifest her blade, but seeing the two others draw their weapons, she found it best to keep hers hidden. Besides, if her crystal wasn't a dead give away as to who she was, her sword definitely would. Even as the croc spoke to her and asked if she would join them, she didn't dare bring out her weapon. Instead, she scoffed in annoyance and gave a roll of her eyes. No threats would come from Mythra before she saw the pirates come running to collect her upon the kremlin's order to do so.

With another roll of her eyes, she would activate foresight, causing everything to slow down around her and show the very moments of the oncoming pair. As soon as their paths were evident to her, she allowed things to return to normal and she began her own move. Jumping onto the table beside herself, she watched as the first pirate went tumbling over a chair and the second ran right through where she had previously been. "I don't have time for this..." she huffed under her breath.

Mythra was prepared to continue on with her dodges, but the kremlin's voice brought her to a stop and her gaze immediately moved to him. Seeing one of the young koopas in his grasp caused a soft growl to rumble in her throat and while in that moment she was finally ready to manifest her blade and use foresight to close the gap quickly, she didn't dare. There was no guarantee it would allow her to be faster than a simple slash. Even if she threw in her swift movements from photon edge, it wasn't a guarantee she'd be fast enough. All she could do was stay put.

While Pit voiced his displeasure in the situation, Mythra said nothing. What was there to say? Nothing she had on her mind would do much good. If anything they'd cause more problems, thus opting to keep them to herself was the best option.

Letting the pirates come at her, and tie her up, Mythra went with them quietly. However, unlike the Hylian and angel, she wasn't put with the other captives. When she was brought onboard, she was brought to the side where a couple other pretty, young women were. Unlike the men, they hadn't been captured with the intent of working, but rather to be a form of entertainment, whatever that implied. Either way Mythra hated it, but for now all she could do was keep her cool and wait for her opportunity to strike.

Her eyes moved to the group of captives and she watched as Klay approached them. Seeing the interaction between him and Pit was enough to cause the Aegis to look away. While she wanted to try and help, she couldn't. Not now. She had to keep her strength in check until she knew for sure she could get away with attacking.

link was confused by the hedgehog , why would he blame sonic , the hell did sonic even do.
theres definetly some kind of arguement between the two hedgehogs , or atleast a rivalry.
but what if shadow was evil , what if the man standing infront of him has taken innocent life.
what if he's tricking them by appearing quiet while he's planning to stab them in the back while they're inside.
link grits his teeth and points his sword at the hedgehog .

Kirby and bandana waddle flew into the ruins in Kirby’s Robobot Mech. Kirby had absorbed the jet ability and they landed on a flat area in the wastelands. Kirby removed his goggles and Bandana waddle dee there him a maximum tomato and the surgery powerup giving Kirby a chargeable bow and arrow and a really nice hat.
"...Kirby?" The knight's expression of surprise must have been priceless if not for the mask covering his features. "And Bandana Waddle Dee..." Meta Knight flapped his wings, flying to land closer to the two of them. "I wasn't expecting to see you two here."

Responded in his language and bandana waddle dee offered him another maximum tomato. Kirby ran back to the mech and packed some extra abilities in a backpack and fell on his back from the weight.

Feeling himself being pulled in by Falcon, Yoshi stumbled momentarily, but luckily for him the grip the captain had on him would prevent him from falling over. Despite being grateful for that, he couldn't say he was grateful for the words that would come from his companion. The insults to his best friend were quite unnecessary and almost had the opposite effect of what Falcon seemed to be going for.

Instead of feeling a passion burning for adventure, the dinosaur found himself annoyed and it showed. His eyelids dropped, causing his eyes to narrow and match the current emotion he felt. It was a rare feeling for Yoshi to express given his usual laid back demeanor, but he couldn't help it. Hearing Mario be slandered in the way he was brought it out of him. Huffing, he wriggled out of Falcon's grip and position himself in front of him.

"Yoshi does not like how friend Falcon speak of Mario," he spoke, all while waving his index finger at the captain. "Friend Mario treat Yoshi very good and Yoshi have big respect for him." His voice was firm, and showed he had no plans of budging on his views of how the plumber treated him. Yoshi was more than aware of the reasons behind them, and accepted them for what they were. In a way Mario had always been looking out for him, even at the risk of his own wellbeing. Sure, he'd love to accompany his friend till the very end, but he told him to wait outside in order to keep him safe. That was what he had come to believe at least. He wasn't going to let someone who didn't have the his own insight on the whole thing tell him otherwise.

While Yoshi wanted to go on and give a bit more of his own mind on the subject, his attention was immediately drawn away from Falcon and moved towards Link as he lifted his sword and pointed it at Shadow. Immediately all the anger he had felt towards the captain's harsh words was changed to confusion. What was the Hylian thinking? From his body language, the dino could pick up very little, but it was clear that something Shadow had said had triggered the other to raise his weapon. Perhaps he hadn't liked how the hedgehog spoke of Sonic? Honestly, he wasn't sure, but he couldn't standby and let a fight break out.

"Friend Link please!" he squeaked out, quickly stepping between Shadown and Link, his arms spread out wide. "Violence is not needed. Yoshi not sure what Shadow said to upset you, but Yoshi know it's not worth fighting over. Bigger problems are at hand!" He could only hope his pleas for peace would do some good, though with how things were currently going, he wasn't even sure if he was taking the right action.

Shadow sighed. It seems Link now him as a threat because of how he talked about Sonic. "Drop the sword. Sonic might be reckless, but he is still an ally...and a friend. I have respect for him. I am not your enemy!" Shadow said trying to reason with the hero.

Lord Lunaris
Location: Bowser's fleet in the sky, close to the Jungle
With: Bowser ( Develius Develius ), Ridley ( R U S T R U S T )

"Boring? Plain? Dull? I personally prefer, 'classical'!"

There was a puff of lime-green smoke and sparkling gold stars, and Lord Lunaris materialized before Bowser like a sinister phantom, his moon-and-star cape held up by both hands. He twirled, dispelling the smoke and adding a bit of flair to his entrance before waving a hand at the sky. The Golden Eyes stopped firing their lasers and dispersed. Lunaris faced Bowser, not at all concerned about being within the Koopa King's reach.

"Now this is a surprise: the one and only King Bowser Koopa! I hope my creations weren't too rough with you. If I had known my kingdom would be visited by such royalty, I would have better prepared the place! Ah, but do not fret; I shall still welcome you in a manner proper for a king!"

Lunaris turned toward his flying citadel and clapped his hands twice. The spire rooftops shot into the air like rockets, magically parting the storm clouds and revealing a starry twilight sky, and burst into bright and colorful fireworks. Giant sparks rained down upon the fleet like a great star shower, the sparks bursting into harmless stardust upon contact with one of the airships or their crew. The sorcerer applauded the fireworks show before returning his attention to Bowser. He gestured to the right side of his head. "Your horn, Koopa King."

A plain bagel had somehow appeared around Bowser's horn!

Lunaris grabbed his cape and bowed elegantly. "I am Lord Lunaris, ruler of this realm, the Master of Creation--" He straightened himself and raised his right hand, the one that wore a golden gauntlet, and with a twirl of the wrist conjured a vaguely Yoshi-shaped Polygon Fighter. "--and Destruction!" The sorcerer raised his left hand, which wore a silver gauntlet, and clenched the fist. The Polygon Fighter burst into flames! It writhed in silent agony before vanishing in a poof of smoke. "It is good we found each other. I have a proposition for you, you and the Space Pirate; one that will benefit all of us. As a token of good will..."

The golden gauntlet glowed with magical power. Lunaris grunted as he raised it with great effort, as though lifting something heavy. From the ground, the fallen airship began to rise. It reassembled itself, and by the time it rejoined Bowser's fleet, it was as good as new!

Pikachu
Location: The Forest
With: Samus Aran ( Develius Develius ), Princess Peach ( Minako Minako ), Princess Zelda ( SheepKing SheepKing )

Pikachu normally would have been happy with Samus's discovery, even moreso with the arrival of Princess Zelda, but the Pokemon was still reeling from the recent events. The poor Electric Mouse had been through so much in a single year: the decay of her home, and facing starvation and violence from other forest inhabitants, to the death of the Great Deku Tree and her friends in the little woodland village. Pikachu's home was now safe and healing, but it was obvious the little mouse was exhausted and in great need of rest for physical and emotional healing. On all fours, she silently followed behind Peach and Samus.

Without stopping, she hopped into the huntress's space ship. She searched for a suitable place where she could curl up and try to get much-needed and well-deserved sleep. Of course, if someone were to pick her up, she wouldn't object to it, only letting out a soft, sad, "Chuuu..."

Steve

Soon, the clanking of stone pickaxe meeting coal came to a stop as Steve had mined out what coal remained. Mining the stack of blocks beneath him, Steve quickly got to work with his newfound coal, creating a dozen or so torches in his inventory. Placing one on the ground, he placed his crafting table next to it, quickly using the excess stone to forge a furnace. Seeing a message from Roxas, Steve placed his newly forged furnace down before replying

steve: ok salt

steve: or sea

Well, it didn't appear as if he actually had any knowledge on Roxas... instead merely using the username as an assumption of their name. Thought the question was: How exactly was this username decided?

Regardless of what answer he got back, Steve would toss his iron and some coal into the furnace, created a pixelated fire at the bottom of it. Hearing what Snake said, the Blocky man sent off a simple "ok" in the chat function before sprinting towards the lit hole in the ground. As Snake gave them their marching orders Steve crouched peeked into the pit, looking at Roxas. An eerie second would pass, in which the blocky man would simply stare, as if viewing the Nobodies soul.... And then, uncrouched.

And crouched.

And uncrouched.

And then uncrouched again.

And then did that several more times.

Whatever the meaning of that was, Roxas would never know. A new "ok" would appear in chat before Steve sprinted off towards the dead furnace, collecting the 7 newly forged iron ingots. Quickly activating the crafting table, Steve paused for a second as he thought of what to make...

A minute later, Steve would reappear, now sporting an Iron Helmet alongside his leather boots

steve: am ready

With that, Steve would sprint down the tunnel, placing torches whenever his vision became dark. Once more, Snake (and Roxas!) would have to move fast, as Steve was shmoovin again!

Pichu

As Pichu pointed towards the forest, Sora appeared to contemplate the little Pokémon’s suggestion as he looked on thoughtfully. However with one glance back towards the laboratory it seemed Sora had made up his mind as he’d rushed straight towards the forest leaving little Pichu chasing right after him.

The duo would steadily make their way towards the forest’s entrance, the scenery becoming more dark and eerie the closer they came. Despite the stillness of the air, Pichu felt a shiver go up his spine. He’d make sure to stick close to Sora’s side when the boy summoned his keyblade. Right, they needed to be prepared for anything that might come at them. After all, if the Primids came from the laboratory then he wouldn’t be surprised if they’d spread troops throughout the area, something he’d only just thought of now. Being so caught up in the joys of freedom, Pichu had wrongfully assumed they’d be completely in the clear. But, as the boy and Pokémon entered the forest, Pichu took care to remind himself of that fact. The two could still very well be within enemy territory, so to ensure their safety they needed to heed that potential danger.

Sora suddenly came to a halt, causing Pichu to run straight into his leg.

“Pi!-“

Pichu’s hair stood up as a roar echoed throughout the forest. Though it did confirm the existence of other animals inside the forest, it didn’t exactly paint the most welcoming picture.

As Sora called out into the forest, Pichu would quickly follow, cupping his hands around his little mouth and letting out a “Pichu?” Into the forest.

Soon enough another roar echoed out, though this one noticeably closer. Whatever was out there was very likely coming their way. So, Pichu crouched to the ground, ready to pounce at whatever was coming their way.

Finally, the creature tore itself out from the trees, revealing it and its cohorts to the duo. Thankfully it was only a few Shinx and Luxio, a potentially dangerous Pokémon in the right situation for sure, but just simply encountering one in the wild was little to worry over. Plus, why be fearful when this was the perfect chance to ask them for directions.

That is, if they hadn’t immediately ran off before Pichu got the chance.

“Pi?”

Pichu would stare off at the empty space before drawing his attention to Sora’s pondering. The only answer Pichu could supply would be a light shrug of his shoulders and a “Pi pi chu?” Though whatever scared the herd of Shinx that badly certainly was something the two of them should definitely take note of.

So Pichu followed close behind Sora as they ventured further into the woods. As they did, the two finally began to hear other signs of creatures within the forest. Only, it wasn’t any kind of sound Pichu would ever want to hear come out from a creature.

It was the sound of screams. They were screaming. Pichu’s heart dropped. It was an awful noise, one filled with a cacophony of misery from an orchestra of beast so loud that one could not determine the howl of a wolf to the shrieking of a bird. Far too much for such a little Pokémon to handle, Pichu covered his ears to try and shield them from such horrid screams as he desperately searched for the source.

Sora would thankfully find where the sounds were coming from as he dove behind a nearby tree. Pichu slid right beside him, peeking from behind the bark to get a closer look.

Pokémon, animals, and all sorts of poor creatures were lined up in metal cages, tightly packed against each other and somehow looking even more miserable than what their cries implied. To top it off, of course the Primids were behind all of this. The little Pokémon grit his teeth, electricity crackling along his cheeks as he took in this monstrosity of a sight. However, Sora’s words snapped him out of doing anything reckless as the boy stated the obvious. Of course they needed to do something!

Taking just a moment to examine the area, Pichu took a deep breath in and began climbing the tree he and Sora had been hiding behind. He’d climb up to one of the branches that leered over the camp, scampering onto the tree’s limb to try to get a better overall look at the situation.

“Chu….”

Eyes squinted, he searched for anything that might help them free the poor creatures. Perhaps a key or a big red button that’d open the hatches? Anything would do.

Princess Zelda

Patiently, Princess Zelda quietly awaited the return of her knight in space armor, playing with the end of her dress as she hummed a soft melody under her breath. But despite her composure, there was the underlying dread of a thousand what ifs that threatened to tear the princess in two.

She withdrew the crumpled poster from her dress, eyes falling upon each and every fighter who had been so cruelly deemed as nothing more than lowly criminals. Eyes falling upon Samus’ photo, her humming died off into silence, the whispers and echoes of the deep forest the only thing that filled her ears.

Who knows what else lies within these deep woods. More bounty hunters? Dangerous beasts? Though Samus was surely far too powerful to be brought down by such meager threats, Zelda still felt the uncertainty of the situation clinging to her, whispering frightful scenarios into her ear.

Still, the princess knew to trust her friend. Whatever she faced or will face in the future, Zelda knew Samus would be able to swiftly handle it. However, that didn’t mean Zelda couldn’t help in her own way. Placing the paper against her head, she closed her eyes and thought only of the golden goddesses.

“I pray you return safely and unharmed, dear friend”

Suddenly she heard the sound of footsteps coming her way. Immediately Zelda placed the wanted poster back to its place as she pried herself up from the floor, sweeping away the loose blades of grass that clung to her gown. Yet as the footsteps came close, Zelda immediately could recognize the lack of metallic clanging that would surely come from a power suit. Meaning, unless Samus had exited from her armor, this very well could be someone else entirely, including the two kidnappers she had narrowly avoided. Just in case, Zelda would not allow herself to be caught off guard as she readily faced the oncoming figures, ready to defend herself in case the need arose.

Finally the two figures revealed themselves.

———

———

A young Mii with bright yellow hair pulled himself out from the trees, an even younger rabbit girl and floating creature following close behind. Just children. Zelda let her cold disposition melt away, soon to be replaced by a warm smile as the blonde Mii finally spoke, inquiring if she was supposed to be at the stadium. With a small nod, she’d confirm the boy’s words, elaborating on why she was in the forest of all places.

“Indeed, in fact was on my way to the Stadium not long ago. Unfortunately during my trip I got caught in an accident that destroyed my vehicle beyond use. Thankfully my friend should be able to take me with her as soon as she returns”

It certainly wasn’t the whole truth but she doubted informing civilians of her attempted kidnapping and current fugitive status would result in anything positive. The less they knew, the better.

On the other hand, the little rabbit girl’s attention was solely on the notion of being in the presence of royalty. Zelda placed her hand over her heart as she addressed the young girl. “Princess Zelda of Hyrule, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance”

Gazing upon the humanoid bunny Zelda couldn’t help but recall the Hero of Legend’s regale of his rabbity transformation upon entering the Dark World for the first time, though she doubted that the young girl before her was in that sort of situation. No, judging by the protruding muzzle, large wide eyes, oversized shoes, and glistening white gloves, Zelda had a clue as to just where this young child may hail from.

Yet she wouldn’t be able to ruminate on this suspicion for any longer as a third voice echoed out from the trees. A voice that brought nothing but pure joy into the young princess’ heart

———

———

“Peach!”

With an arm raised high in the air, Zelda eagerly waved her friend over, her eyes sparkling with excitement. As soon as Peach arrived Zelda would open her arms, offering a quick hug to the Mushroom Princess if she so desired.

It had been nearly a year since she had last been in the presence of Princess Toadstool, and every minute of it had been spent longing to see her dear friend again. Just as her ancestors had formed deep friendships with Princess Peach during their attendance at the tournament, Zelda herself found that Princess Peach had quickly become one of her most dearest friends out of all of the fighters. She found it comforting, that no matter what shape or form her soul may take across it’s many incarnations, there will still be someone waiting on the other end with open arms.

Or rather, multiple someones.

Hoisting a large cart filled to the brim with some manner of jelly (Maybe the remains of a slime or Buzz Blob?) Samus Aran had returned. Finally, the worry that plagued Zelda the moment she stumbled upon the empty space craft was lifted from her shoulders in one fell swoop.

Zelda smiled as Samus came over to the steadily growing group, placing the cart of mysterious goo aside in order to bow before the princess. Zelda gave a soft smile before motioning for Samus to rise.

“There’s no need for formalities. It’s great to see you again Samus, though I do wish it had been under better circumstances”

Thankfully Samus would immediately welcome Zelda onto the ship, offering the space for her to relax and rekindle, mentioning that once they got off the ground she would inform her of recent events.

“Thank you. While I’ve been made aware of some aspects regarding the situation there still is so much that eludes my knowledge”

From behind her back Zelda would once more pull out the wanted poster, first making sure it was out of view of the Mii and Rabbit girl, then sneakily placing it within Samus’ hand. As for the bounty hunter’s cheeky comment regarding the new strangers, Zelda had to force herself not to giggle aloud.

“I’m not quite sure myself, though it appears they also had the idea of coming here for shelter”

As if on cue, the two strangers finally gave their introductions. Or well, Cream gave both her and the Mii’s introduction while Zenitsu switched from ogling the Hylian princess to blushing madly at Samus as he spoke of bringing the young child to a safe location, which just so happened to be the bounty hunter’s ship. Which, although a certainly safer place to be than in the middle of a forest, was still not exactly the most child friendly location. But, it seemed it was good enough for the Mii as he finally bid his farewell to the women, heading back into the depths of the forest.

That just left them, three wanted fugitives, with Cream, the incredibly young child who should be nowhere near any of the potential danger that was sure to follow the group from here on out. Yet it seemed they would now need to both worry over keeping her safe as well as deal with whatever brewing troubles plagued the tournament.

Zelda gave a hesitant look over to Samus before slowly crouching down to the girl’s height and offering a hand.

“While Samus fills up the fuel tank let’s head inside. You said your name was Cream correct? Do you perhaps have a parent or guardian that might be looking for you?”

If the girl happened to have one then they’d be able to figure out the logistics of potentially dropping her off with her guardian. If not, then they could always try to find her home or at the very least someplace far from whatever was going on. She was not going to allow an innocent civilian to be caught in the midst of this chaos.

If Cream accepted Zelda’s hand then the two would make their way into the ship, going up the ramp and through the entrance. Upon entry she’d guide Cream to whatever seating was available, motioning for her to sit and rest. As she did, Zelda came across the sight of a rather melancholy looking Pikachu curled up in on herself. She’d stand there hesitant on how to approach before slowly bending down to offer a few sympathy pets. Though she did not know what caused the Pokémon to be in such a downtrodden state, the least she could do was give her some semblance of comfort.

Cream took Zelda's hand. "Mommy might still be back in the world I come from." she replied to Zelda. "However, Mr Zenitsu told me that Mr Sonic used to come here. So I don't know if Mr Sonic could be here right now. Do you know him Princess Zelda?"
Cheese flew near Pikachu and looked at the electric mouse pokemon with childlike curiosity.

Listening to Snake's response, Roxas knew he should have at least felt better in some manner, yet he oddly felt guilt wash over him. Here he was dumping all his internal struggles of being a Nobody to some stranger. Sure, he had pushed him into speaking on said topic, but he knew the way he had spoken had essentially asked for sympathy, although he hardly wanted others to feel bad for his situation. There was no changing what he was after all, so he didn't want others pitying him over it, though he supposed pity wasn't what he was receiving. It was more so reassurance over his own actions. Was it even that though? Maybe it was nothing more than empty words said to make him calm down. Either way, it was best to let them do just that. It wasn't as if he felt ill intent coming from the soldier after all. Besides, it was clear he knew more about this world than Roxas did, and if he said the usual rules didn't apply here, then who was he to question it.

A stifled sigh escaped the boy's lips as he let the thoughts settle, though before he could fully process through it all, he saw the handle of his keyblade enter the corner of his vision. Turning his body entirely, his eyes moved up the blade to settle upon Snake. Traces of a faint smile crossed Roxas' lips as he reached out to grab his blade. "Thanks," he softly uttered once he had the weapon in hand again. Staring at it for a few seconds, he felt glad to have it back in his grasp again, though for now he felt its help was not needed and in a brief flash of light the key vanished into thin air.

With that done, Roxas turned himself forward once more and was prepared to continue forward, but before he could even take a step, he was stopped by Snake's voice. While he was no longer addressing him directly, the boy still listened in. Hearing the name Steve mentioned, he was sure he'd finally learn who this individual was. However, that wasn't the only thing that caught his interest in the soldier's statement. Hearing what their end goal was caused the Nobodies eyes to widen. They were infiltrating a what now?! Of all the things he could have found himself tied up in, this hadn't been one of them, yet it seemed he was stuck in the thick of it all whether he liked it or not.

Hiding any signs of distress or fear he might be feeling towards being pulled into such a situation, Roxas sucked in a deep breath before he heard Snake speak to him once again. Despite thinking he had little choice, it seemed he did. Though when his options were explained to him, a brief flash of confusion came over his face. How was he supposed to get between the two if he still hadn't even seen this Steve?

As if right on cue though, the blocky man appeared in the corner of Roxas' vision. Quickly averting his eyes towards the "newcomer," the Nobody couldn't help feeling baffled. He had seen many weird worlds before, but never had he seen any person quite like this one. It was then that he realized the box from before had reappeared, with new messages on it. Clearly it was linked to this individual, whom he could clearly assume was the Steve he hadn't yet met. "You can call me Roxas," he spoke.

He would have continued on, but seeing Steve stare at him caused him to stop. It was an understatement to say he was uncomfortable, yet he didn't voice it. His expression spoke all that was needed and the confusion upon it only seemed to grow when Steve began to "t-bag" while still staring at Roxas. What did such a thing even mean? Was it a sign of acceptance? Or maybe it was the opposite? Either way, he wouldn't come to find out nor did he dare to ask. The only thing he received from the whole ordeal was a simple "ok." Nothing more and nothing less.

Seeing the blocky man run ahead, Roxas was left baffled, though his mind quickly snapped from it as the messages began to pop up again. Steve was now in position which meant he needed to move to. Moving according to the orders Snake had previously given, the Nobody positioned himself between his two new companions and readied himself for whatever his next orders would be.

Dig dig dig…… dig dig dig… dig dig….scuffle scuffle…. Dig dig dig….

The sound of digging was echoing in the cave as metal hit rocks as a short blue armored man dig through the caves trying to seek out for any possible answers of what the heck was going on in this word he found himself in.

The blue knight continued to dig his way through the caves, mostly just digging and thinking of what to do after he most likely gets no answers from just mining and digging his way through a cave. Though all of a sudden he heard a thunk quickly stopping and to look at the direction the sound came from. It sounded like something was being mined…

Wha? He thought to himself. What could’ve that possibly been? Well, he wasn’t doing much to begin with, so it wouldn’t be the end of the world if he paused his digging for a moment to investigate the sound and so, he started to dig, and dig quite fast, faster than he was.

He was simply bored was all.

Though that boredom would soon be extinguished quite fast.

As he dug his way through the caves the sound of minding would get louder and louder until he dug part of the cave where it would lead to a lighten area.

Not only were there torches, a block of wood like materials and another block of stone being a furnace, there were three strangers. Two of them looks smoother than he was and another, looking quite….blocky. Though there were people! Finally someone he can talk too!

He stood there emotionless though, as he though of an introduction, quickly coming up with one, he spun his shovel perfectly before putting his hand in his chest and speaking proudly.

HAZZAH! I have found PEOPLE! Ah yes, wait, my introduction, IT IS I THE GREAT ADVENTURER AND GREAT KNIGHT, SHOVEL KNIGHT! HERE TO SHARPEN THY SHOVEL GOOD SIRES!”

He said with a fancy tone of voice, proving he was certainly in fact what he was, a knight, and with a strange weapon, a shovel. Though maybe one of the strangers using a key was stranger but that is too discuss in the future.

Jeff followed everyone’s lead by changing into his own pirate outfit; it matched his suit down to black boots. It helps him blend in, perhaps. He tried assisting Pit and Toon Link but his efforts proved fruitless as those pirates took one of the koopa kid’s working in the milk bar hostage. He wasn’t fond of using literal children as pawns. It was cowardly in his honest opinion but he didn’t voice it instead hoped they wouldn't take his items. While it’s true he can make his own bottle rockets and recreate the heavy bazooka from scratch he needs those specific materials to begin with. He would ask Toon Link later if he knows anyone that’ll be of use to him it’s doubtful. He stood there near Mythra pondering what will the others do if there’s a plan of escape in the works. All he could probably do is sit like a complacent duck.

Funnily enough he wasn’t in a situation like this before he answered Paula’s telepathic call. He had to travel through the dangerous snow covered valley in Winters while facing monsters influenced by Giygas’s evil. He met the eccentric yellow brick road man on his travels for the very first time. He’s honestly really strange, no doubt about it but also nice and welcoming. Jeff had met his dad for the first time in ten years. There he made use of the Sky Runner. However, getting to Ness and Paula was less than a graceful entrance. He crashed the Sky Runner through the grave. At least they were free and and it begun their friendship; they've been close since then. He wanted to be a part of their lives even as a groomsman in their future wedding.

Pokey looked at the sight before him. It was unfortunate that those Pokemon were locked up. He looked at least for a button or a key to free them then they could get things rolling, sort of itching to kick someone’s butt with his PSI. He waited for Sora to give them the signal. Although he noticed those damn primids up and about. He glanced at Sora as if silently asking if it’s time to take action against the would be kidnappers now. His PSI StarStorm ability is itching to be used but he keeps his antsy feelings down until it’s time for action. Though he did sense some of those pokemon can probably cause quite a ruckus if freed. Stealing that idiot’s psychic powers proved to be useful he can gauge their ability to be fair it left him star struck.

He didn’t seem to hear Sora’s words or he didn’t pay much attention either way. Now he waited and waited to spring into action sort of feeling sorry for those pokemon. It's a foreign concept to feel any emotion that isn't jealousy. He put up a front seeing no good in revealing all his cards yet. Ignoring his own thoughts he concentrated on the task at hand putting his power to use. He looked for a button, a remote control, or a card key.

Bowser merely rolled his eyes at this chump's "classical" remark. Man, this guy surely must be the type to only enjoy plain vanilla ice cream, or eating just plain bread without anything on it. Like, cmon, where was all the flavor? The spice? Anything at all to make it taste NICE and not downright BLAND? Bowser's own castle had gone through multiple changes over the years he's been in the kingly business, but he made sure EACH of his lairs had a sense of flair and danger to them!

There were spikes! Lava! LOTS of lava! Green and yellow colors mixed within the dark intimidating bricks! And of course how he couldn't forget adding his iconic face for branding purposes! Even Peach's castle - as classical as it already is - at least portrayed itself with a nice sweet and tart exterior to her walls; coupled with those gorgeous stained glass windows. Or maybe he was just being biased.

No, of course not! Why would he be?

Though before King Koopa had a chance to gloat his thoughts aloud, the speaker would suddenly pop right before his eyes. With his dazzling sun-and-moon cape flowing against the lime green smoke and golden stars, he twirled around with theatrical flare and forced his hand straight to the heavens in a theatrical display! Ahhh, there was some of that pizzaz! "That's more like it!" Bowser chuckled with approving affirmation. Bit of a shame he didn't wear his best suit for the occasion. He'd surely look all nice and dapper-like. That being said, he suddenly noticed how the battlefield turned quiet; with the sound of lasers and exploding wood coming to a complete silence against the stormy backdrop.

Seemed awfully polite of him~

While he took a moment to ensure that this was truly a ceasefire, the fancy-clad individual began to express his pleasantries; marveling at the opportunity in meeting King Bowser face-to-face, before proceeding to give him a proper welcome through the use of a rather impressive fireworks display. This was a classic "buttering up" method that Bowser couldn't help but enjoy spreading upon the bread that was his ego. Including the harmless dust that now stuck onto him and his dazzled crew~

"Heh, not bad... not bad all~" Bowser admitted while lightly clapped his hands at the performance, "Though I've seen better~"

His attention would be brought back to the individual in question, as he alerted King Koopa of something on one of his horns. Bowse gave a puzzled expression as he rose his hand to feel his right horn first. However, there was nothing there. "Huh~? Waddya mean~?" Then raising his other hand to his opposite horn, that's when he felt something rung around it. Taking it off his curved horn, Bowser glanced at the object in question carefully before bursting out in a haughty laugh.

"Gawhaha! Why aren't YOU quite the magician," he stated flatteringly before gulping down the bagel in one bite.

Meanwhile, his inner thoughts were racing hysterically. "I KNEW IT!" he thought to himself, "YOU TRULY ARE A MAN OF PLAIN TASTE!"

Realizing he was getting too buttered up in the moment, Bowser shook his head and gave a more stern expression towards the individual. "Alright," he grumbled with a more ruffled tone as he crossed his arms, "Enough with the kooky magic tricks. You call yourself a monarch, yeah? Like you mentioned you have a Kingdom. And apparently you know me~ I mean, of course you should! Everyone does! But I haven't seen or heard of your likeliness before... So WHO are you?"

With a bow, the ecstatic figure introduced himself in another display of theatrics, now featuring two magical gauntlets of gold and silver respectively. He called himself Lord Lunaris; the ruler of this realm as well as the simultaneous Master of Creation and Destruction. Bowser's eyebrow twitched upon hearing the following two titles, but otherwise gave an affirming chuckle. "Hmph, sounds like you gotta few bold titles under your belt," King Koopa remarked, pointing a claw at the fellow "evil doer". Though this would be short lived as his raised hand clenched into a fist, supported by a rather piqued scowl, "But what good are they when it comes down to that airship yer golden eggs shot down~!"

Thankfully for him, Lunaris seemed to have covered that stain upon his newfound resume. He wanted to speak about a proposition for both he and Ridley. Though before they commence, he wanted to make certain amends. With that, his golden gauntlet began to glow and soon enough, Bowser would see the mangled remains of the downed airship emerge from the dark clouds below before reassembling in flight back to peak performance! What was more, it seemed like his crew had also been accounted for, seeing a few koopas and goombas placed back upon the repaired deck. A few were still a bit battered and bruised, sure, but otherwise not grievously injured.

Kamek, watching this from afar, felt a pang of unamused envy pierce through his expression. He could certainly repair an airship too! Just... maybe a bit slower and with a bit more magic involved? The Koopa King however seemed rather impressed by this sudden turn of events.

"Well!" he stated satisfyingly, turning his determined gaze back at Lord Lunaris, "Now you certainly have my attention. Suppose it's only fair to hear ya out~"

Bowser turned behind him and called out for Ridley.

"OI! SPACE PIRATE! GET OVER HERE, WE HAVE BUSINESS TO DISCUSS!"

Toon Link, Pit, & Kap'n' Krook
Location: Alolan Islands, aboard the ship the Black Scourge
With: Pyra/Mythra ( Ploegy Ploegy ), Jeff ( Kaiju Cat Kaiju Cat )

Toon Link flinched at the kick. As tough and durable as Pit was, the Hylian was certain that still had to hurt. Toon Link asked his companion if he was alright when Klay put his foot to the back of the boy's head and shoved his face into the wooden deck.

"No talking, fish!" the former Kap'n snarled.

The Zola crewmembers of the Black Scourge scowled at Klay as he bullied what they thought to be a child of their kind. An observant eye can see that, though the Kremlings and Zola were working together, there was no love lost between the two species. Toon Link had arms longer than his legs; as soon as Klay took his foot off him, he rolled onto his back, jumped to his feet, then stepped back and over his bound hands to move them to the front. Toon Link launched himself at Klay like a small green rocket, knocking the air out of the Kremling and making him stumble back until he went right over the ship's railing. The Zola laughed.

A few nearby pirates drew their weapons. They were about to teach the two defiant boys a lesson when another ran onto the deck. "On yer feet! Backs straight! The Kap'n's comin' on deck!"

The captives had the bindings on their legs cut off before they were pulled roughly to their feet. Kap'n' Krook stepped out of his cabin and onto the deck. Light from the lantern fires reflected off his golden fangs while his blood red eyes stared down the new sailors from the shadows cast by the night; Pit and Toon Link knew they were looking into a killer's eyes. After a long moment of silence, Krook spread his arms wide and laughed wickedly.

"I am Kap'n' Jacquard Krook," he said with cruel delight, "and welcome to yer new home: the Black Scourge!"

He walked down the single-file line of future sailors, arms behind his back as he spoke. "From now on, you work fer me. You belong t'me! Yer very lives are mine t'do with as I please! Serve me well, an' ye'll be rewarded. Fail me... well, let's just say there are crueller things than floggin' 'n' a keelhaulin'!"

Krook turned upon a couple of timid-looking captive islanders and, using his tail, grabbed one by the neck and threw him at the other. Both the islanders fell to the deck and cowered. Krook chuckled and resumed his walk. When he reached Jeff, sensing his shyness, he suddenly whirled around and snapped his jaws close to the boy's face in an attempt to intimidate him. He cackled and resumed his walk. He paused when he reached Toon Link and Pit. They stood straight and silent, eyes glaring at him. This intrigued Krook. He cracked his tail like a whip, right between the boys, the sudden noise causing the others to jump in surprise.

Neither Smash Brother flinched.

Krook laughed out loud. "Well blow me down! Fer a pair o' brats, ye seem t'be made o' tougher stuff than the rest o' this rabble! Normally I'd gouge yer eyes out fer glarin' at me like that, but, lucky fer you two, I can make use of ye! What're yer names?"

"Pi-" Pit began before he caught himself and blurted out the first name that popped into his head, "-Ike!"

Toon Link replied without hesitation. "Hup-ya!"

"Pike 'n' Hupya," Krook repeated, committing their names to memory. He looked to a large battlescarred and tattooed Kremling nearby, his First Mate. "Kudgel, keep a wary eye on these two!"

Kudgel saluted. "Aye-aye, Kap'n'!"

Mythra immediately caught Krook's eye when he reached the captive women. "Strike me, aren't yer a beauty!" He gently, yet threateningly, ran his hook down her cheek as though daring her to act. "I can tell yer a saucy one! Ye got the same steel in yer eyes as the two brats yonder."

Krook lowered his hook. Without looking away from the Aegis he called out, "'Hoy! Who captured these three?"

The pirate who had forced the Smash Brothers to surrender stepped forward. "I did, Kap'n'! Kurr!"

"Were they together?"

Kurr nodded. "Aye, Kap'n'! Got 'em at the Milk Bar; the kid in glasses too!"

Krook looked at Mythra a moment longer, then at the boys, then to Mythra again. He suddenly burst into more laughter. "HA-HARR-HARR! Lookit here, boys! It seems we got ourselves a couple o' young lovers! They even got matchin' outfits!"

Krook's tail shot out and wrapped itself around Pit's neck. The disguised angel was pulled forward and pushed into Mythra, causing his face to turn bright red in both anger and embarrassment. The pirates dutifully laughed. When the Kap'n' found something amusing or told a joke, it was always funny.

The Kremling Kap'n' winked cheerfully. "Y'know, as Kap'n' of this fine ship, I can get the two o' yer married! Whaddya think? Shall we join this young handsome couple in holy matrimony?"

Again the pirates laughed out loud. The more gullible ones cheered, some even wiping tears from their eyes; they always cried at weddings! Krook allowed this to go on a moment, then in a flash, he drew his sword and pointed it at Mythra and Pit.

"And when the weddin' is finished, I'll slit their gizzards 'n' part 'em! HA-HA-HA-HARR-HARR!"

The pirates hooted and hollered, some even slapping their knees. They knew what happened when their Kap'n' decided they weren't laughing hard enough at his humor. Krook's face suddenly grew serious and he slammed his tail on the wooden deck.

The ship was suddenly as quiet as a tomb.

The sword remained pointed at the two Smash Brothers. "Yarr, but I need the two o' yer, so here's what's goin' to happen: so long as ye cooperate, Pike, yer sweetheart won't be touched. Ye hear that, ye pack o' bilgerats? None o' yer is to lay a claw on the lass. Anyone who does will get that hand chopped off!" Krook then smiled unpleasantly at Mythra. "And you, poppet, if ye don't behave yerself, the other wenches aboard this ship will be made to pay on yer behalf!"

Eyes downcast, red-faced and scowling, Pit mumbled clumsy apologies to the Aegis before being thrown back with the other new sailors. Krook shouted orders to his krew.

"Get this ship going! When we get further into sea, cut our new krewmates loose 'n' put 'em to work! I want 'em shaped into proper sailors! If we don't get to the western seas by midnight, heads will roll!"

The Black Scourge took off to sea just as the last bits of sunlight disappeared below the horizon. The Hylian barkeeper and the Koopa family stood outside the Milk Bar as they watched the ship sail away from the Alolan Islands.

The Koopa wife buried her face into her hands. "Oh, the Super Smash Brothers! They saved us, and now they're trapped on that horrible ship with those wicked pirates! Who is going to save them?"

Paula nodded at Ann. “ I’m Paula, it's nice to meet you.” She can’t help smiling at the photo of Joker and Ann they’re a cute couple indeed. She hopes someday she’d have the courage to confess her feelings towards Ness, perhaps they would have become more than just best friends if she were gutsy enough to get past first base in their relationship. She squinted her eyes at Inkling’s drawing for a hot minute trying to decipher what her friend was trying to tell them. “ I agree with Prompto and Noctis that Bowser may have some dark plans for the smash realm. I think we should make plans of our own just in case..” She looks up at the sky surprised at the sight of the citadel. Like Joker’s friends she sensed powerful and unfamiliar auras coming from the citadel. Paula held her forehead as her psychic power kicked in. “ Bowser isn’t alone. I sense a dragon and a magician with him… that must explain the powerful readings I’m getting. ” She frowns, maybe they’re plotting together this doesn’t bode well. If her companions are gonna take initiative she has her PSI to be of use even her shields. She’s not weak by any means.

Isabelle

It was anarchy, pure utter anarchy.

The walls had been riddled with bullet holes, the floors littered with gashes, and the smell of gunpowder, sweat, and iron enough to make even the hardest of people nauseous. Yet despite all the hell that the room had gone through, the two responsible for such destruction showed no signs of stopping.

Isabelle, still cowering behind the table, was at a loss of what to do. Even if she wanted to intervene there wasn’t a doubt in the young woman’s mind that doing so would only result in her being riddled with bullets and slashed apart by the swings of a sword. Getting between the two duelists would be a death sentence, so Isabelle was well enough satisfied with simply remaining in her hiding space, the last semblance of protection available.

Well, it was until one half of a bullet ricocheted right through the desk, nearly going straight through Isabelle’s skull! It was clear that her hiding spot was no longer safe, or rather it had never been safe to begin with. There was only one option left, escape.

Holding her breath, Isabelle eyed the exit and slowly began to crawl from out under the table.

But as luck would have it, the moment her paws peaked out from the desk, Sephiroth’s cold stare would just so happen to fall upon that general area. So as Isabelle carefully scooted out she’d unknowingly completely expose her position to the one winged angel.

She looked up to the man, realizing her dangerous mistake.

“I-I uh!”

He continued to stare down at her, no longer viewing the secretary as simply an insignificance. His eyes didn’t just gloss over her, they bore directly into her shivering body. She felt her heart drop to her stomach. No, she knew what he saw her as.

An obstacle.

Sephiroth began to walk towards her, Masamune unsheathed and dragging against the floor, sparks crackling up like the clangs of funeral bells.

Isabelle stumbled back, eyes wide with fear as she hurriedly searched her person for any means to defend herself, paws pulling out a party popper of all things. Still, she held it out towards the approaching angel of death as her life depended on it.

“Stay back!”

He came closer.

“I-I’m warning you!”

Even as his gaze switched towards the Slayer he continued his approach.

The room went silent. For just a single moment, nothing in that room moved even a muscle. Then, it all returned to chaos.

“Wah!”

*POP!*

Glitter and confetti filled the space, pieces of festively colored paper coating everyone head to toe. And yet, it did nothing to dissuade the battle. It only seemed to further celebrate the violence as Sephiroth cut through the cloud of confetti with a swing of his katana, waves of energy right towards the Slayer. Yet, the monster of the man didn’t just evade both attacks. No, he’d dodge the first and then completely tank the second attack like it was nothing. If Isabelle wasn’t fearing for her life she surely would have stood there in awe. But no, there were more important matters to take care of. Namely, not dying.

Speaking of, Sepiroth plunged his blade straight in her direction! Caught off guard by the sudden attack, Isabelle only managed to evade the attack by making a mad dash forwards, pulling a flower pot out of nowhere and tripping onto the ground right as The Slayer came in to save the day, sending a hook right through Sephiroth’s body. Still face first in the floor, Isabelle would be able to hear the awful crunch as metal tore through flesh. And then-

*KA-POW!*

Sephiroth was headless, and yet even that didn’t put an end to the violence.

No, The Slayer took it a step even further as he’d used the hook to drag himself to what once was Sephiroth, plunging his foot into the corpse’s cavity with a horrifying crunch that made Isabelle sick to the stomach. With both men on the floor, Isabelle scrambled back up, eyes white with horror. She surely would have passed out by now if it weren’t for one thing.

Not a single drop of blood oozed from the battered remains of what she had thought was Sephiroth. No, he didn’t even return to a trophy-like state. Rather, the body disintegrated into nothing but black dust until nothing was left.

Swallowing her nausea, Isabelle made her way over to where “Sephiroth’s” body once lay.

“He…wasn’t real?”

Honestly Isabelle wasn’t sure whether to be thankful that they didn’t face the genuine angel or horrified that one clone could cause this much destruction.

Well, no matter her opinion on the matter there was one thing that was certain.

The battle was over.

The Slayer, putting away his arm blade, made his way over toward the shivering Shih Tsu. For a moment Isabelle would freeze up on instinct, the image of The Slayer’s violence still fresh in her memory. Yet when it became clear she wasn’t his next target, Isabelle forced herself to relax. In fact, he appeared to be checking on her to see if she’d made it out unscathed. Silently, she allowed the man to look over her as her eyes fell upon his visor. Finally at this specific angle she’d be able to see his face within the armor. And, as silly as it was, it was almost surprising to have visual confirmation that the warrior before like was at his very core, still just a human man.

Breaking the silence, Isabelle hesitantly whispered out,

“I’m..I’m alright, just a little overwhelmed”

And with that, The Slayer rose up and made his way to the exit, motioning for the little secretary to follow. Taking one final look back at the two maroon cloaks on the floor, Isabelle took a deep breath and left the room, following The Slayer.

1673823938647.png

“The elevator should be coming up soon. After that we just need to head to the first floor and the entrance will be nearby”

The two made their way through the hall in relative silence, with only the crinkling of the map in Isabelle’s paws and her mumbling serving to quell the quiet. After all that had went down, she was at an utter loss of what to say, still very much grappling with all the horrors her little mind had bore witness to-

Isabelle stepped around the remains of a scientist as they made their way.

-Sorry, the horrors that she continued to witness.

Frankly, it was all a little overwhelming for someone like her to handle. Just a day ago she had been on the island, blissfully filing away paperwork as Tom Nook dealt with The Island Representative’s home upgrades. Who knew that just a day later she’d watch as fake Sephiroth ruthlessly massacred the entirety of a government facility?

Still, she supposed it would be rude to just not say anything to the man who’d just saved her. In fact, she didn’t even introduce herself to him did she?

In an attempt to force up her usual friendly attitude, Isabelle wiped away her stray tears and finally spoke.

“My-uh my name’s Isabelle by the way. Thank you for saving me, Mister Slayer”

She found her mouth would continue to move as word fell out one after another.

“The two robbed people mentioned you were from another world right? Well…welcome to the Smash Realm”

Once again, Isabelle would step over the corpse of another victim.

“I guess this really isn’t the best first impression is it? The realm isn’t usually supposed to be all like…this

Gesturing vaguely at the bloodstained hallway, she figured The Slayer would get the general idea of what she meant. Sure, there were often world ending events that threatened the livelihood of the universe, but those were far less personal, less gruesome than…than whatever had just gone down in the facility.

Realizing now might not be the time for chatter, she’d stop herself from continuing on with her words, letting out a small apology.

“I’m sorry if I’m talking too much…”

Princess Peach

Peach most definitely took the offer of the hug and apologized for not noticing she had others with her as well... An adorable humanoid rabbit, an equally cute blue creature (Let's see... The new blue hedgehog fighter, Sonic, called them Chao's, right?), and... Oh! The unique guest fighters of the Tournament: Mii Fighters! This one had hair that was as yellow as hers and was dressed very elegantly, though the Pink Princess couldn't quite tell exactly what they were dressed as...

"Ah! I'm so, so sorry I didn't notice you! I'm Princess Zelda's friend, my name is Princess Peach~!" Peach apologized to the humanoid Rabbit, especially after it was clear that they were a child (Thank goodness they had bumped into ZELDA first...! The Mushroom Princess shuddered to think what would have happened if the child had bumped into Bowser or Ganondorf instead!) that needed to be returned to their world and their mother right away!

Ah, also...

Peach had to tell Zelda about everything that went on in the forest...

And what happened to the Great Deku Tree...

Now, Peach knew Zelda was much, much wiser than she could ever hope to be, and she didn't want to insult her friend's intelligence by forgetting that OR treating Zelda like she was ignorant, and there was only one way to go about it...

She waved away the Mii fighter as they left the rabbit child with Zelda, and it seemed as if Zelda already knew what the jelly they had brought was for...

This was GOOD: With Zelda's help, they might be able to get somewhere...

As much as Peach hated to jump straight into business, Toadsworth always said that a good Princess doesn't "beat around the bush", they get straight to the point... And right now, there was no time to lollygag around!

"Z-zelda..." The Mushroom Princess began a bit shakily (as she knew what she was going to have to tell Zelda soon), "I'm sure you know already know some of the troubles this realm is facing... I'm so sorry to go straight into business, but...."

Peach slightly bit her lip and hesitated a moment.

"We learned some things in the forest... Some things you should definitely know... What exactly have you learned so far, if anything? We might be able to help each other if we exchange information..."

A worried look slowly painted itself on the Mushroom Princess' face--

"Not only that but, if Samus is willing, we might also have to send out a distress signal or beacon to catch the attention of other nearby ships... We need to meet up with as many of the Tournament fighters as quickly as possible... We..."

With a bit of an exasperated sigh, Peach swiftly removed a blonde hair from her face and looked up at the "crumbling" sky of the realm--

"We have a lot to do, I'm afraid..."

Sora quietly watched as Pichu climbed up the tree he was hiding behind. What exactly his intentions were wasn't something the boy was entirely sure of, but watching the rodent run along one of branches overlooking the camp was enough to give him an idea of what he was trying to do. Waiting a moment to see if the pokemon took any action, though much to his surprise, he did not. From the looks of it he seemed to be searching, probably trying to figure out how to free the creatures that were trapped. That was something Sora himself could easily handle, but if he went in to free the captives, then he'd be unable to fight back. Of course he could break his way through to the cages with no problems, but as soon as he dared to open them, he would be defenseless, though that was where his companions could come in.

It was almost as if a light bulb went off in his head and his face lit up as the idea crossed his mind. "Pichu!" he called, out before realizing his mistake and throwing a hand over his mouth. Almost instantly the primids reacted to his voice and frantically began looking around to try and locate who it had belonged to. Daring to peer around the tree, Sora could see them moving away from the cages and beginning to spread out to begin searching the area.

Averting his gaze quickly, he looked upwards first, giving a small wave to make sure he got the electric mouse's attention. Figuring he couldn't talk loud enough for Pichu to hear him given his mistake, the teen briefly let his keyblade vanish and he quickly began moving his hands around. First, he pointed in the direction of the primids before aiming his finger at the rodent next, followed by a few taps of his cheeks and another gesture back in the primid's direction. While he wasn't sure if it was clear he wanted Pichu to attack his oncoming pursuers, he could only hope his point got across. Admittedly, he probably wasn't very good at charades, yet it was all he could think of without speaking and drawing attention immediately to himself.

As soon as his attempt at communicating with Pichu was over, Sora turned to look at Pokey all while manifesting his keyblade in his hand once more. "I'm going to go in and open those cages with my keyblade," he stated softly, figuring that it was safe enough to speak to him given how close they were to one another. "I'm not sure if Pichu understood my gestures, but I'm hoping he'll ambush them from overhead." Pausing for a brief moment, the keyblade wielder heard footsteps nearing them and he held his breath. For a few stillness took over and he was frozen in place, staring like a deer in headlights, but as the footsteps seemed to turn in a different direction, he let out a sigh of relief. That was when he continued. "If you can, I'd be grateful if you provided backup as well. Opening the cages should be quick, but I can't unlock them and fight, so I need as much help as possible." Positivity radiated off Sora's features as he spoke, and his eyes silently pleaded for the other boy to lend his aid.

Sora's attention was soon broken away from Pokey once again as the sound of a pained whimper caught his ears. Peering around the tree immediately, he noticed one of the primids had returned to the cages and even opened one of them. It had pulled a small volff from one of the cages and attempt to instruct it to sniff out whoever was in the areas, however, upon rejecting the command it received, the poor creature was hit across its muzzle.

Frowning at the scene before him, Sora's grip on his weapon tightened and his face wrinkled in disgust. Even if his point hadn't gotten across to his companions, he couldn't sit back and let this poor creature be hurt any longer. Without any word of warning or even any other sign, the boy recklessly ran out from behind his cover and charged towards the small camp ahead. Luckily for him, only the one primid was directly in his way, and in one swift movement he was able to knock it back from the volff. "If you can run, then run," he told the canine softly before shifting his body to face his actual opponent. In that time, the volff scampered off without a second thought.

Despite losing one of its captives, the primid showed no signs of rushing at the boy and instead reached for the blaster on its belt. Gritting his teeth, Sora lifting his key across his chest, preparing for his opponent to try and shoot him, yet it never came. Instead, it fired three shots into the air as a signal to his comrades that they were under attack.

Finally understanding what it was, Sora's eyes grew wide and a brief panic rose in his chest. He had walked right into the lion's den without much of a thought. Feeling his nose wrinkle, he knew he needed to shift his attention to the cages before the others could jump on him. Before he did that though, he puffed out his chest and bellowed out, "NOW!"

Whether that simply order would mean anything, or cause anything to happen wasn't something the keyblade wielder put much thought into. He simply went through with what he had initially planned. Rushing towards the cages, he quickly touched the tip of his blade against the lock of the first one and swung the door open as the lock opened. Smiling at the timid pair of buneary that were trapped inside, he gestured for them to move out and head off into the forest. Despite the terrified looks upon their faces, they seemed to understand Sora and following his hand motions, they hopped off in the direction he had pointed.

One down. So many more to go.

Hearing Shadow speak up to defend himself, Yoshi gave a quick nod of his head in agreement. While he was he wasn't entirely sure of the whole situation between Shadow and Sonic, he didn't sense any hostility coming from the hedgehog. If anything, he just seemed rough around the edges which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. That was beside the point though. It didn't matter what his intentions might be or how he actually was if Link continued to see him as some kind of threat.

Luckily, such a thing would not come to fruition. At first Link simply moved his sword away from pointing directly at Yoshi, but it seemed not long after Shadow's statement he put his weapon away entirely. Relief washed over the dinosaur's face and a quiet sigh escaped his nostrils. It was a good thing that it all worked out. The last thing he wanted to imagine was facing Link in a fight, especially one without any of the usual tournament rules. The thought alone was almost enough to cause a shudder to go down his spine, mostly because he knew he was no match for a hero of Link's caliber.

Keeping that thought to himself, his face softened as the Hylian got down on one knee apologetically. Taking a step forward, Yoshi reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder all while offering his companion a warm smile. "It okay Link!" he chimed. "Yoshi and friends understand concern. Link only looking out for group! No need to feel bad." It was an honest misunderstanding, and given how little the group knew about Shadow, he could hardly blame the other for thinking he might be bad. His overall appearance didn't help in that department, though looks were deceiving. There were plenty of other fighters that proved that point, but that was no topic for now. The group had other matters to decide after all.

"So, with that settled, friends should probably figure out what to do," Yoshi mentioned as his gaze shifted back to the temple Falcon had been trying to get them to go in to. "Group never decided if temple or not. Yoshi not really big fan, but if friends want to go, then Yoshi not stop them."
