Futuristic Starpath: Burning Sails [IC] [CLOSED]

Petar gave Daniel a look of confusion seeing as he just shot the weird sex robot with knives. Wasn't he the military specialist?

He shrugged and walked along into the crew quarters after Lauren. Shotgun raised and pointed ahead just in case some more ambushes were set in waiting.
---
Anyone who wants to help secure the cargo bay should go along with us. Could use as many hands as needed to move whatever they got lyin' around down there.
"Seeing as you don't have a medic with you, I'm in." Vincent followed after Vance. By the looks of things, the astronaut would need medical attention soon enough.

Daniel cursed. "Jericho, you okay?" He lowered his rifle and pulled out his MEDT, currently equipped with a scanner, while training it at the android. As he scanned for serious trauma Daniel kept moving, making sure to stay with the main party going for the recreational area.

---

Nathalie decided to steer away from Vance. Considering how eager he had been to get himself shot she weren't too sure he was the safest bet and after taking into consideration that her military jumpsuit offered extremely little in the way of ballistic protection she decided to scout out the recreational room in an effort to mark any potential hostiles. If all things went well she might even find someone to interrogate...

As everyone began to drift apart to other areas of the ship, Shelby stood motionless for a few minutes before hurrying off towards the crew and rec area. She had already killed someone and took part in a pirate raid. What more was stealing some clothes for herself? Hopefully she could find some things that fit, or anything else interesting to take with her. Even if it was just a jumpsuit, or a hairbrush, or hand mirror.

Really, anything to get away from the bodies littering the hallway.

Lucy approached one of the dead Upyri and knelt down beside the corpse. She cradled the head and examined it. The eyes of the head were a rather modest grey-blue, and a sensor reading determined them to have a suitable curvature and concave diameter. Judging by the shape of the skull and the arrangement of the maxilla, zygomatic, and frontal cranium... the eyes were almost certainly a typical arrangement for a normal Upyri adult. A rapid laser scan of the iris and cornea determined that the eyes themselves were healthy, without any detrimental internal shape that could result in atypical eyesight.

Without a single word, Lucy placed her bladed thumbs along the bottom of the eyes and slipped the blades into the flesh. Her index fingers curled downwards to dig into the flesh from above, and in a startlingly simple gesture, she twisted her fingers around the eyes to sever them from the skull. She had to stretch the fingers back a little more to snap the optical nerve, and then the eyes came out without issue and only minimal viscera. Only a little bit of blood and optical fluid, too.

She held both eyes in one hand like they were dice she was going to play with, staring down at them, before she plucked one between her fingers, lifted her veil, and squeezed the eye into her empty skull eye socket. Her assessment on the size of the eyes was indeed correct - they fit well enough that they wouldn't plop out. She placed the second one in her other eye to complete the look. A little bit of the blood attached to them dripped down her cheekbones, but she lowered the veil to conceal her face once again.

A most satisfactory arrangement, she thought contentedly. She gave the head a gentle pat of thanks before standing up and examining the area. Upyri stomachs would not do. She needed a human stomach. For the moment, her collection was satisfied and finished.

The others had already left the area by now, and she debated following the bulk of them down to the cargo area, but decided to go check out the engine room. Perhaps there would be items and systems of interests in that direction. She had little need, or desire, for loot outside of cosmetics. The most promising thing right now was information she could consume.

Jackson screamed with pleasure as the man he was shooting exploded into gibs, the 25mm shells completely obliterating him and the rest of the crew being gunned down as well. The ambush was over and dead quicker than it began. He quickly reloaded and watched as everyone split up, before hearing the comms say something about reinforcements. "Heh, just more targets to kill. Show us what you can do Olivia!" he yelled over the comms and then stopped in his tracks as he watched Lucy.

She literally took the eyes from a dead head and placed it into her own empty sockets. Even that was too much for Jackson, but then again, he was just happy she was on their side. He's seen worse too... with a shrug he stowed his hand cannon, and upholstered his 10 mm pistol before cockin' it and loading the chamber. "Booze run! Booze run! Booze run! Booze run!" he yelled as he ran into the lounge behind the rest of the gang.

As the group stacked up around the doorway into the Rec Room, they could hear shuffling and movement on the other side. This time, they'd be prepared in the event of an ambush. When Lauren elbowed the console next to the door, which was used primarily in case the automatic door system was disabled, the door opened with a shiiish straight up. Inside, a large circular room with a few tables and chairs in the center. A mess hall area was nearby, where food was scattered about by the attack that destroyed the bridge. To the left in the back, a hallway leading to the crew quarters. On the right in the back, a hallway to the medical bay. In the center of the back of the room, the bathrooms.

The four crew members in the room had taken up positions in the center, behind turned over tables and stacked chairs. Lauren opened fire on the first man she saw, taking a potshot and throwing plasma across the room. It collided with a stack of chairs, melting through and splashing onto the man hiding next to them. He screamed in pain as green goop hit his arm, though it dissolved before it could do any real damage beyond severe burns. As he popped up, tying to shake off the plasma while it dissolved, he would suddenly be smacked by an unseen force. The impact cracked him across the jaw, hard enough to snap his head around and break his neck. Score one kill for Nathalie, who uncloaked shortly afterwards and darted for the kitchen counter. She slipped behind before any of the enemy in the room could take a shot at her, thankfully.

Typhon opened fire on another man, but his shot smacked into the table he was using as cover. The bullet pierced, but hit the metal bars on the back of the table and stopped cold. The man on the other side of the table flinched, moving out of the way a bit. Right into Jericho's crosshairs. The synth had sprinted into the room, vaulting over chairs and another table before stepping off the top of only table left. His blade came down, and sank through the top of the man's skull. Forcing itself all the way through and ripping out the bottom of the man's head. The Upyri was dead.

One of the other men in the room shouted, spinning about and opening fire on Jericho. Another lucky kinetic shot, the bullet ripping through Jericho's shoulder plating and piercing his synth flesh. More white blood oozed out, but of course, Jericho didn't even flinch. The Upyri that had shot Jericho had given his position away, to which Daniel capitalized on. he fired off a burst of gunfire, clipping the man's arm before he slipped back behind cover. Another man scrambled to get away on the other side of Jericho, but was caught by shots from both Petar and Shelby before he could get away. Bits of Petar's buckshot collided with the man's side, knocking the wind out of him, while Shelby's burst of SMG fire ripped through the man's left leg as it pierced chairs he was behind. He let out a yelp, before quickly crawling behind another overturned table. Once there, he attempted to fire back, but found that his own weapon had jammed.

Jackson would have the worst luck of all. He took a shot at the same man that Daniel had fired upon, but his shot totally missed. In fact, it collided with the bar behind him, destroying several bottles of booze that had still been sitting on the shelves.

-------

"Two of those fucks left! Take 'em out!" shouted Lauren, taking aim at the man that Daniel had hit and firing her pistol yet again.

-------

Lucy wandered down the hallway, moving back towards the engine room of the Upyri freighter. Once she arrived, she found herself looking upon the massive engines themselves. Various tubes and controls were scattered about, all needed to keep the ship's engines in working order as well as cool. Then, she spotted just what she needed. A control node, which various ship systems were connected. There were others scattered throughout the ship, but they were likely behind armed crew members. The panel was locked, but the lock could easily be broken. Once it was off, the panel would open and she could work her magic.

The group heading to the Cargo Bay filed into the elevator, the door shutting just as the fighting started in the Rec Room. "I do hope you all are ready." said Karina, checking her rifle to see how much of a charge she had left in its current battery. Four shots. Might be enough to finish things off. The elevator started moving, slowly decending down the shaft towards the ship's cargo hold. It took about a minute, before the doors reopened and the group emerged.

Just as they emerged, they were hit by incoming fire from various locations in the cargo hold. One upyri crew member, armed with a kinetic SMG, peppered Vance with fire. Tearing more holes in his already damaged space suit. Another took shots at Karina, shots hammering into her armor. Lucky for her, none pierced. Then...came the heavy fire. The man that Karina had singled out earlier, the one whom had been sent to the cargo hold to get the LMG, had found the weapon. He took aim, hiding behind some metal crates, and opened fire on the group. Vance and Karina were hit, the bullets zipping about wildly due to the intense recoil from the weapon. The recoil was the only thing that saved Vincent from being hit, as well as Yolandi and Shun.

Another member of the crew took a shot at Shun with his pistol, but missed entirely, while another crew member pointed and attempted to fire. He soon found that he couldn't. He checked his weapon, expecting a malfunction, but instead found that he had simply left the safety on. "[Damnit!]" he spat, flicking it off with a look of embarrassment on his face.

------

Karina shoved Vance aside, and grabbed Vincent as she moved. "GET TO COVER." she shouted, pulling the priest down so that he wouldn't be hit. Yolandi also quickly darted for cover, moving over to where Vance had moved. Shun also moved to hide from the incoming fire. Better not to risk damage to something important.

Fighter #5 = 7. Does 1 DMG to Aesha. Aesha HP = 9

Fighter #7 = 9. Does 1 DMG to Olivia. Olivia HP = 9
Fighter #8 = 6. Does 1 DMG to Zou. Zou HP = 9

UFS Atania = 10. CH Roll = 3. Does 2 DMG to the Mordred. Mordred HP = 8.

The fighters wasted no time moving to engage Aesha, Olivia, and Zou (whom was still stuck to the hull of the Mordred), moving in rapidly and opening fire. Too bad that actual skill levels were drastically different between the two forces. Aesha quickly eliminated a fighter with a well placed missile, playing a game of chicken with the fighter before letting a missile fly right as they neared one another to pass. The missile didn't even have time to launch properly, as it simply lobbed out into space and collided with the incoming fighter's cockpit. The warhead shattered the cockpit's glass, and slammed into the face of the enemy pilot before detonating. She wouldn't get off damage free, however, as one of the fighter's allies would score a laser based hit to Aesha's wing.

Zou would also score a kill, taking its time as it focused on one fighter in particular before letting lose a barrage of autocannon shots. The first two shots missed, but the rest would pepper the enemy craft. Ripping holes throughout its frame before blowing the ship to pieces in a spectacular explosion. Scratch two fighters out of six. Shortly afterwards, Zou would take a hit from another fighter. A lucky laser shot smacked Zou in the shoulder, forcing him to pause for a moment before returning to hunting fighters.

Olivia eagerly awaited for a proper lock on the enemy vessel, aiming for the ship's bridge. Sadly, she couldn't get one. She did, however, get the next best thing. She let loose a missile once she heard a loud and long beeeeeep, confirming that she was locked on target. The missile darted through space, quickly closing the distance between where Olivia's fighter sat and the enemy patrol vessel. And soon, it reached it. The guided missile darted into the ship, straight through the mouth of the hangar before colliding with the back wall of the hangar. There was a bright flash, visible from the Mordred itself. The entire hangar bay of the patrol vessel exploded, the blast itself ripping through and out the mouth of the hangar. The blast also apparently had damaged the ship's engines, as the large central engine in the back would cease providing thrust before detonating itself.

Another fighter, eager to take a crack at Olivia for damaging the patrol vessel, opened fire on her as it passed, peppering her cockpit with laser fire. Thankfully, none pierced through. Back aboard the Mordred, Roku managed to get Shuren to take up the gunner's position on the bridge so that they could fire shots at the patrol vessel with the forward cannons. As the patrol vessel fired gauss shots at the Mordred (which collided with the plating on the vessel, damaging a few spots here and there), Shuren would fire his own. Heavy laser fire pelted the enemy vessel, ripping large holes in the hull and destroying one of the vessel's missile batteries.

As more bullets peppered Vance, he was plenty ready to find cover although being shoved by Karina helped him along a bit. He darted behind a large crate and pulled out his ray-gun, flicking it on to prepare it to fire. "Everyone, focus fire! Karina, Vincent, you two target the same folk! Shun, bring one of em out of commission with one of your thingamajigs!" Vance yelled out as he poked out to fire two shots at the machine-gunner before ducking back in.

Time to finish off this little runt. Petar got closer with the shotgun primed to blow through the crew member he shot at seconds before. Not too hard of course.
---
Vincent nodded after Vance said and looked at Karina.
"Big motherfucker or small fry?"

Typhon's shots penetrated the tables. And while the one he shot at didn't kill the one hiding behind it, it went through the table at least. An idea popped in his head.

He springs out of cover, and sprays n' prays at the table the other two are using as cover, hoping at least to render their cover useless and force them out into the open.

"God fucking damnit shit fuck I'm uncultured bitchhhh!" Jackson screamed as watched the bottles behind the men explode in a glory of shimmering colors. There are few things Jackson hated more than wasted alcohol. A fit of rage engulfed him, not even realizing bullets wizzing by his head as others shot back and took cover.
"Time for you all to die please."

He ran towards the table as fast he could where the last two enemies were, jumped and twirling in the air, hoping to stick the landing and unload the rest of his magazine into their backs. "GET SOME!" he yelled as he sailed through the air.

This was getting really hectic, Grommy thought as he saw the fight unfold right behind the group. He entered through the door, hand clenched as he was prepared to punch Lauren's target in the gut.

Yolandi ducked for cover almost as soon as the machine gun opened up. Fortunately for her, she went unscathed while the others got smacked with rounds. She loads a fresh magazine from her position and checks her vest before she leans just far out enough to level her rifle and take aim without completely exposing her to the gunner's barrages. She aims down the optic and lines up on the exposed parts of the gunner's body, her rifle's selector set on full auto. She doesn't haul off on the trigger, but fires a couple short controlled bursts at the gunner, hoping to either get him to duck incoming fire or look at her so the others can reposition or fire as well. She hears a few clicks come in through her headset after the initial reports of a patrol group coming in, Zou must be having a blast right now if he's clicking his mic three or four times in a row.

Zou emits a game horn from his sound system when he splashes the fighter, sadly in space, there isn't much transmission of sound so it's more just for his sake than anyone else. His victory is short lived as another fighter takes a shot at him and strikes him in one of his shoulder armor panels. Given that the fighter has vehicle class weapon systems, it sort of shocks Zou himself that the panel didn't just completely slough off under the intense heat and keep going into more critical systems. He's not going to question good fortune though and he just hopes Yolandi will get him a new shoulder panel once this is over. He decides he'll make an effort of revenge on the one that hit him, locking up the fighter with his I-Bal Mk.IV targeting and tracking system and unleashing some hefty bursts from his autocannon in its direction.

Renate had been more cautious as she entered the fight than her new crewmates had been. She was primarily the type to handle a single target, rather than wading into chaotic firefights- that was more Vixaya's style, ironically. Now that the numbers were thinning out again, she decided it was time to stop hanging back and instead turned, deployed her EM shield on her left arm and stepped purposefully into the rec room with her bolt pistol drawn. She selected a target from the two and fired on him, closing in menacingly with a grimace. She didn't care much for killing, but her body and enhancements at least made it quick and easy, generally speaking.

Shelby kept close to one of the walls as the fighting broke out in the rec room. She should have known better than to wade in with everyone else - now she was really in the middle of a fight. The muzzle of her gun leveled on the overturned table and she considered just spraying, but figured it would be best to try and shoot someone she could see. Oh no... now I'm thinking like a pirate. She felt like she was undergoing some dark metamorphosis from who her original life was into this twisted one. She wanted to be Shelby White - and it seemed that Shelby White was a killer.

When one of the Upyri finally moved about while things were going on, she quickly turned her gun towards them and fired, scoring a few hits on their leg. It seemed almost cruel. Thankfully, they were back in cover so she didn't have to try and shoot them again.

She remained further back in the room as the other pushed up more violently.

---

Lucy looked about the engine room with some mild interest. Great feats of engineering were always fascinating, regardless of who created the machines in particular. Still, there was something else she was looking for - and she found it. An access port, but hidden by a locked panel. Hardly a barrier to her. She approached it and examined the lock, using either the torch in her middle finger, or the drill in her ring finger to break it open. And once it was...

There was a small clasp on her wrist that led into a compartment within her arm. Where there should have been muscle sinew and veins were she organic, there was a tube of hair-like fiber cables. The cables extended like the tentacles of an octopus or squid to fill in any physical entry port to link her into the mainframe. The brilliance of the independent cables meant that she could access nearly any access port of any size. So long as a single wire could sufficiently connect into the port, that was an entry for her to access whatever was on the other side. The more cables that connected, the stronger and more sturdy the connection.

Once she was in, she wanted to take full and complete control of the ship systems - as well as all available logs and ship information.

Nathalie peeked out from behind the kitchen counter and fired three shots at one of the remaining crewmen.

---

Daniel spotted Renate marching in with a shield. He quickly followed suite, moving behind her for cover while laying down surpressive fire.

Engine Room - Misc. Roll

Lauren delivered another shot of plasma, firing it off into the Rec Room from the doorway aimed at one of the remaining crew members behind one of the overturned wooden tables. The plasma splashed against the table, melting through a portion of it, while also spattering against the vest the Upyri man hiding behind it was still wearing. It dissolved through the thin vest, causing severe burns to the man's back. He groaned aloud in pain, standing up out of cover as he attempted to get the vest off to stop the burning.

Petar opened fire with his shotgun again, as he moved in closer towards the other man in cover. Sadly, the shells were poorly made, so the buckshot didn't get enough power to pierce through the wooden table. That's where Typhon came in. He moved in, and opened fire on the tables themselves. The tables were shredded by his gunfire, falling apart in pieces of wood and metal frame. Soon, there was little left to actually protect the two Upyri from anything. Now was their chance.

Jackson decided to be a bit theatrical with his attack, running and jumping in an attempt to flip over behind them and take them out from behind. Sadly, he didn't stick the landing. His food slipped out from under him on the metal floor, and he dropped like a rock onto his face. Busting his nose.

Now that the enemy was exposed, the rest of the group made their moves. Grommy moved up and delivered a devastating blow to the man trying to remove his vest, his large rock fist plowing into the man's stomach. Then shots from Nathalie's pistol hit the man in the side and chest. He was done for, collapsing at Grommy's feet. The other one, whom had been cowering behind one of the other tables to avoid being shot by Petar's shotgun, found himself exposed. And failed to react in time to Renate, whom moved quickly towards him and shot him several times with her bolt pistol. Daniel simply added a bit overkill to the situation, also opening fire on the man to make sure he was dead.

------

Lauren straightened up, moving into the Rec Room with the others. Well, that takes care of that. "Alright. Loot what you're going to. I'm heading towards the captain's quarters in the crew section." she said aloud, before glancing over towards the bathroom. The door was a simple knob based one, with a little window just above the doorknob which currently read 'Occupied' in both the Terran trade language and Upyrian. Someone was on the toilet.

"If you guys want to check out who's dropping a load, go ahead. Otherwise, just lock his ass in there." she said, motioning towards the door with her pistol before moving in the direction of the crew quarters.

------

Lucy eventually found all the connection ports she needed, plugging herself into them as quickly as possible. Breaking past a few firewalls and other bits of code that prevented hostile takeovers of ship systems, she was finally in. She had full control over the ship's systems, and access to all its information.

Vance's popped up out of cover, after delivering his orders to his comrades, and fired off shots towards the enemy with the light machine gun (whom was situated behind two large metal crates.) The shots connected, hitting the man in the arm and shoulder. The laser burning partially through the armor plates that he was wearing. It didn't seem to faze him too much, as he continued to remain where he was. Yolandi and Shun also opened fire on the man, Yolandi using her 'Thumper' to really lay down some pain while Shun continued to use his psionic abilities to form nearly invisible bullets to pepper the Upyri machine gunner with. The 'Thumper' shots actually knocked the man over, the rounds impacting his chest plate and knocking the wind out of him, but he stood back up just in time to be hit by Shun's psi-bullets. Not as much of an impact as the Thumper shots, sadly. Once he was back up and situated, the man opened fire on the group again. The bursts of LMG fire would clip Yolandi and Vincent, whom had peeked up to see who to shoot at, but would do no real damage beyond a painful scratch.

Karina picked a target, pointing the man whom had left his safety on out to Vincent before taking aim with her laser rifle. Once she was locked in, she fired off a laser shot which slammed into the man's chest. It burned through his vest, leaving a red rash on his chest which would get even redder when Vincent fired off his own shot. Straight to the heart. The man slumped over, dropping his weapon with a clunk.

Upset, one of his comrades took a shot at Karina but hit the box she was hiding behind. The other men in the room would focus more on Vance and Shun, taking several shots at both and fairing better in the hitting department. A shot ricocheted off Shun's metal torso, the impact being the only thing to affect Shun, while a shot hit Vance in the glass portion of his helmet. It shattered the glass, but thankfully didn't hit Vance in the face.

Space - TURN 2
Aesha = 7. Does 3 DMG to Fighter #5. Fighter #5 HP = 2
Zou = 9. Does 1 DMG to Fighter #8. Fighter #8 HP = 4.
Olivia = 6 + 1 (Targeting Computer. 7.) Does 2 DMG to UFS Atania. UFS Atania HP = 3.

Mordred = 10. CH Roll = 9. Does 4 DMG to UFS Atania. UFS Atania Destroyed.

Space - TURN 2 (ENEMY)
Fighter #5 = 5. Does 1 DMG to Aesha. Aesha HP = 8.
Fighter #6 = 7. Does 1 DMG to Olivia. Olivia HP = 8.
Fighter #7 = 1. Missile Failure to Launch

Fighter #8 = 7. Does 1 DMG to Zou. Zou HP = 8.
Determined to get a hit in on the fighter that clipped her before, Aesha zipped about and managed to lock onto the fighter before he could complete a loop to swing back around. She let loose a missile, which chased after the fighter and almost hit. The fighter deployed countermeasures however, throwing the missile off just in time. The blast still rocked the enemy fighter, and shrapnel would embed itself over most of the craft and crack the cockpit glass. He'd get a return shot off, completing his loop and opening fire on Aesha's fighter with its laser cannons. More holes in the wings. She grunted. More shit to fix.

Zou targeted the fighter that has managed to hit it before, locking on and opening fire with its autocannon once again. Sadly, this time it wouldn't have such impressive luck. The fighter would be hit once by the autocannon, but would zip behind the Upyri freighter before it could be properly put down. Once it emerged from the other side of the vessel, it opened fire on Zou once again and scored yet another grazing laser hit. This time to the armored plating on Zou's leg.

Olivia, meanwhile, continued to focus on taking out the enemy patrol vessel. She readied another missile, taking aim and waiting on a lock confirmation of some sort. Soon enough, her targeting computer gave her one. She let the missile fly, and eventually witnessed the gauss cannons on the vessel explode. There went one of the ship's offensive measures. Shortly afterwards, she was clipped by more laser fire from another fighter. A second followed, but didn't attack. Its missile deployment systems had failed to launch a shot at Olivia's craft.

The patrol ship wasn't in all that great shape, and the Mordred would be the one to finish it off. A burst of heavy laser fire from the Mordred's front cannons would rip through the open hangar bay of the enemy vessel, piercing through the ships inner walls before colliding with the ship's reactor core. The blast was huge, as the core's destruction ripped the ship apart in one massive boom. The UFS Atania was no more.

-----

"Scratch one fuckin' patrol ship! Lets mop up these fighters!" said Aesha over comms, a grin on her face.

With his helmet compromised, Vance opted to remove it entirely to remove the visage of shattered glass from his eyesight. "Keep firing! We got 'em on the ropes!" Vance yelled out as he fired another two shots from his ray-gun at one of the lesser crew members. "Weed out the smaller ones first!"

"!تَكْبِير " shouts Typhon in victory. Only one man left and he was in the toilet of all places, utterly defenseless. A nasty idea popped in Typhon's head as he looked at the severed head still bleeding in his bag.

He slithers up to the bathroom door and knocks.

Grommy sighed, hand covered in blood. He'd have to get used to it. He heard shooting across the hallway. Turning to the others Grommy jerked a thumb outside.

"Sounds like trouble, I gotta go help them." He said before heading down towards Vance's team.

He saw the ongoing firefight, seeing a couple enemies and one guy holding a big gun. He saw the LMG guy, marching onward and raised a fist. As he got closer he sped up, attempting to tackle him into submission.

Yolandi gets caught in the shoulder by one of the bullets from the gunner's suppressive fire, it rips the shoulder guard of the vest off and buries itself in the synth flesh of her upper arm. She yelps in pain but regains her composure, now being much more generous with the lead slinging directed at the gunner. Still controlled, but slightly less accurate due to the pacing between bursts. Zou starts clicking in her ears again, she's not sure what he's trying to tell her, but judging by the rhythm it's not a positive message.

Zou's thigh plate on his bad leg melts a bit and the molten material runs down in rivulets to fuse against the knee, further hampering the mobility that leg had. He takes a few paces to try and reposition himself so he's not in the same spot when the fighter makes its next pass. The bad leg makes a snapping noise as the fused bits of material are forcibly broken and now just grind against each other making it harder to take proper steps. He backtracks a few more steps and plants himself firmly, his free hand coming over to grab the support grip mounted to the side of the autocannon, now properly bracing the thing as he begins to rack up the pesky fighter that's now scored two hits on him. He rings the bell through his warhorn and unleashes a hailstorm of cannon rounds at the fighter. He's using his targeting system but is also walking the tracers to recalculate and adjust the shots as he goes. There is a risk of doing this, but he's certain the likelihood of him hitting Aesha or Olivia are very slim due to them being in dogfights around the wreckage of the Atania.

Jericho kicked the corpse of the Upyri crewman he just killed, since he was quite literally stuck. After removing his sword from the corpse, he looked to the others with a big smile on his face. "Good work, darlings! Now lets get to looting these poor fucks. " He looked to Shelby. "You're doing great, hun. Keep up the good work." He then passed next to Jackson, whom was lamenting at the loss of his booze. He simply pat the man's head, before heading towards the crew quarters. Rubbing his hand across his armor after touching the dirty pirate. He walked down the hallway leading to the crew's quarters, following behind Lauren, eventually heading around another corner to where the rooms actually were. Once there, he began to look through the rooms. Every credit chit, every wallet, every single thing of value these Federation goons had would be useful. Plus, maybe he'd find something good and get on Lauren's good side.

Shun stayed near the back as the elevator opened its doors wide, the team greeted by yet another ambush as shots peppered them as they made their way inside. The Ayr reacted as best as he could, throwing a few bolts of energy at the crewman wielding the heavy weaponry, nodding at Vance's orders once he saw that his shots had reigned true. He had made his attacks while he floated toward cover, though he was only partially concealed from their firing line due to his continued floating.

He grunted as he was struck by a stray bullet, his flickering psionic shield having allowed the slug to pass through and hit his chest. "Understood." Shun said simply as he extended his hand, focusing intently on the crew member that managed to land a hit on him. The air started to reverberate and hum heavily as he manifested solid force, plumes of dust on the floor between him and his target kicking up in sequence. If the Upyri didn't dodge out of the way, he would be hit and pummeled with force equivalent to a heavy tackle.

As Jackson sailed through the air, a sudden realization hit him: He never learned how to fly. Gravity took over from the point as he nosed dived straight into the ground. Crack!

"Awwwww fuck. There goes my nose," he mutters as he winces in pain and turns over on his back. The two Upyri who were left dropped dead beside after being riddled with bullets. before Jericho came up and have him a pet on the head. "Thanks, really needed that." Jackson laughed as he stood up, and wiped the blood away from his face onto his sleeve. He looked at Shelby, "One. Two. Three!" He yelled as he pushed his nose back into position. CRACK! "Ah, I can smell again," he said to Shelby with a wink.

"Scratch one fuckin' patrol ship! Lets mop up these fighters!" said Aesha over comms, a grin on her face.

"Good job Mrs. Aesha! Knew you could do it!" Jackson yelled over the comms, and then rubbed his lucky signed bicep. Man what a cool chick. He then turned around and watched as Typhon knocked on the door to the bathroom, which was supposed to be occupied. He walked up to the door and placed the barrel of his 25mm launcher right up against it. "Allow me to help my good sir," he stated with a smile at Typhon as he squeezed the trigger.

Shelby just looked blankly back at Jericho when he spoke, and her stare was equally empty at Jackson when he fixed his nose in front of her. All she heard were just scattered words and meaningless gestures. Jackson, and the... ship doctor, she tried to remember, seemed to be toying with someone in the bathroom. A real pang of distaste flared within her, reminding her just who she was again. These two were just... cruel bullies. She may have killed some people, but it was entirely in self defense. She never had the chance to take prisoners, and now that there was someone trapped in the bathroom, they could have been left alive or even alone. But it appeared the others did not have the scruples to do so.

With a growing sneer towards Jackson and Typhon, she hurried off after Jericho to loot the crew rooms for anything of use or interest - primarily any clothes she could bring back with her.

Lucy gasped. It was a meaningless and not truly possible gesture aside from the noise and the subtle wracking of her humanoid frame. The sensation of her consciousness being spread out into a facility-like system - such as the ship - was near orgasmic and entirely blissful. Being trapped within her meager synthetic body allowed for excellent mobility and social interaction, but it was a containment, not a proper body. This ship, on the other hand, was a tiny step up in terms of actually returning to a body. It was incredibly small compared to the Karos-III facility, though the feeling of having a vast awareness over many different areas again rather than one was most excellent indeed.

"Attention. F r i e n d s. I am in full possession of this vessel." Her voice over the intercom was stronger and more confident, but that only exacerbated the psychotic level of corruption in her voice. The drawn out, low tones of her voice were stronger, and it had the vague sound of her being high or sleepy.

Immediately, she began to download any available information regardless of how useless it would seem. Ship schematics, communication codes, navigational data, repair schematics - everything. Then, and at the same time as the download, she turned her consciousness to her newfound eyes and ears. Any camera big or small that was attached to the system through wire or wireless was now a way for her to see. If the recroom coffeepot had a webcam for whatever reason, she'd be able to use it.

She saw the firefight in the cargo bay and debated assisting. It was much harder to kill in this condition when there were friendlies in the same area. Exploding wall circuitry or spacing the bay wasn't going to help. However, if there were any loading machinery, like an overhead crane she could take over....

First time out and not a scratch on him, but no kills either. He was a little frustrated with himself, but oh well. Looks like it was time for looting. At least for some. Petar considered his options. Either join in on the looting for scraps. Go talk to the creepy doctor and the idiot to see what they are doing with that poor bastard in the toilet.. Or go down to make sure that the cargo was secure. Middle one was out of the question. So that leaves two options.

Vulkov reached into his pocket and rummaged a bit until he found what he was looking for. A coin. Bit of a rarity these days outside of collectors items or found on primitive worlds. But this one was really old. Pre-Sol old. Heads he loots, tails he shoots. A toss in the air, a grab and...tails. 'Guess I'm not done shooting.'

Going down to where the cargo was held, he would join in finishing off the remaining crew.

First time firing a gun in more than half a year and he managed to kill someone. Not bad for a one-eyed priest. Vincent didn't feel like celebrating though. There were still enemies to take care of. Vance looked like he needed help the most, but he wasn't close enough for proper treatment. Again, he would wait for Karina to shoot and aid her in taking down the target.
