Knight of Nevermore
It has been a century since the death of Valerian Mengsk, son of Arcturus Mengsk. Under Valerian's rule, the Terran Dominion expanded it's border across all the Dominions former worlds, and conquered the few remaining old Confederate world's left broken. The Umojan Protectorate, long a nuisance to the Dominion, was absorbed by the Dominion, after their leaders were lost in an 'accident' during transit between worlds.
Fifty years into Valerian's rule, the Zerg and Protoss vanished from all their worlds. No trace could be found of where they went, and no clues were left behind. It did not take long for the Dominion to terraform and colonize these planets. Emperor Valerian died shortly after the last colonies were established across the Koprulu sector. Under his leadership, the Terran Dominion had expanded to every known planet in the sector.
Upon his father's death, Tercius Mengsk ascended to the throne. He continued his father's expansion campaigns, solidifying Terran control on the fringe worlds. However, what should have been a Golden Age for the Dominion soon turned dark. Arcturus was not compassionate and considerate, like his father. He was more similar to his grandfather, the first Arcturus Mengsk. The Dominion military was vastly expanded upon his ascension to the throne. All media outlets soon came under strict supervision, and any dissent was put down with ruthless efficiency. In this age, a new rebel force rose. Calling themselves The New Terran Confederacy, they sought to bring an end to the Dominion, and the harsh treatment they all faced.
The Dominion and Confederacy have been fighting each other for nearly a decade now. In that time, the New Confederacy has become cruel, and they bear many similarities to the Dominion they now fight. Peace is a thing of the past. Across the sector, Terran fights Terran, in and endless war for control. Honor is a thing of the past, and death is a constant companion across the Koprulu sector. Only time will tell if there is a chance for salvation.

So that is the general setting for the start of the rp. Players can be members of the New Terran Confederacy, the Terran Dominion or the Wings of Freedom. The rp will take place, obviously, in the Koprulu sector, with all known worlds and a few new ones thrown in.
