Set approximately ten years into the Great Galatic War, the Sith Empire has made a blazing trail across the galaxy, conquering many worlds along the way. Beginning with the swift and decisive retaking of Korriban, and continuing onto the many worlds in the Outer Rim. Battlegrounds included Ilum, Dathomir, and Manaan, the latter seeing its surface cities destroyed, despite attempts to remain neutral. Though the Sith and Republic alike suffered heavy losses, the Empire was ultimately victorious, and after nearly a decade of fighting, Republic Intelligence estimated that the Sith Empire controlled nearly half of the Outer Rim.
Ten years into the War, the Republic claimed it's first major victory at the First Battle of Bothawui, completely decimating the Imperial forces sent to conquer the planet. Their victory would not last long, however, as the Emperor ordered a much larger invasion force to once again begin their assault on the planet. Forced into a ground battle, An Imperial army of 50,000 soldiers descended on the planet and engaged in one of the bloodiest battles of the war. Imperial forces lost, on average, 10 soldiers for every one of the Republic's they killed. Though the Sith emerged victorious, their losses were so great that they were forced to retreat from the planet.
Reeling from the many Imperial deaths on Bothawui, the Empire ordered the reconstruction of the Sith Academy on Korriban and the rejuvenation of the Valley of the Dark Lords. Rebuilding the pyramid structure that formed the main levels of the Academy, the Academy continued to contribute more and more Sith Warriors to the Imperial war machine. With the amount of Sith deaths in the War increasing each day, the Empire became increasingly desperate, forcing all force-sensitive slaves and many force-sensitive citizens to train at the Academy, and even allowing aliens in their midst.
Our characters are beginning their first days at the Academy, though this is not where the majority of the roleplay will take place. It will mainly follow our character's training and deployment in the Sith armies, before their defection to the Republic. They will fight many battles, and take many more lives, so if you're not interested in a roleplay involving a decent amount of violent combat, this is not for you.
- Please be able to write at least 3 or more paragraphs per response, though I'll accept less for dialogue.
- Please be able to respond at least once every 2 or 3 days, and do let me know if you need longer than that.
- Your Character: Obviously, create whatever character you would like, but I do have a few guidelines: Humans will be the most common, but if you must play an alien then please do play one of the more humanoid varieties (e.g. Twi'leks, Togruta, Zabrak). I would also prefer if your character was forcibly enlisted to train at the Sith Academy, and dislikes the Empire because of it.
- Have a decent knowledge of the Star Wars universe and this time period within it.
