Fandom Star Wars: Jedi Rising OOC

Now I don't barge in all late but you don't mind if I become the transportation do you? Seems like a fun way for 3 force sensitives to come together but my character is using force concealment so it's rather difficult to tell if he is force sensitive or not.
That's not a bad idea. Although if by "becoming the transportation" you mean having your character be the shuttle pilot, that won't be possible unless I edit my last post. The pilot was a random NPC who was just killed by another of my NPCs.

I'm willing to edit my post to incorporate you, or, unless you have another idea, your character could be a passenger on the shuttle and confront the hijackers while mine and Adobe's characters do something behind the scenes (confronting them directly seems more in character for Ja'lakk than for either of our characters). It's up to you, if Adobe Adobe has no objections.

I was thinking of one but having me confront the people on the shuttle seems rather like a good idea so I'll go with that

Age: 32
Affiliation:
◘Jedi Order
◘Jedi Shadow
◘Temple Guard
◘Jedi Battlemaster

◘Lightsaber Colour: Gold: One of the rarest Lightsabers to ever be seen. It is similar to the yellow lightsaber because of its similar color shine of the blade, but the blade is a bit darker and as a result, it has more of a gold color. It represents a Jedi that is very strong in light side skills. The Jedi would need to have incredible strength and finesse in Lightsaber combat and Force skills. It is extremely rare to find the Kyber crystal of it or a user.1606754149819.png
Form II: Makashi: Of the seven forms, Makashi was the most akin to bladed weapon dueling, developed during an era where engagements with Darksiders and rogue Jedi became an almost routine activity. Form II's primary purpose was to serve as a counter to the first form, Shii-Cho, by relying on precision swordplay to counter Form I's sweeping movements, with a heavy focus on preventing disarmament, the primary goal of Form I. The early levels of Makashi were devised to provide a defense against an opponent's blade, allowing an initiate in the style to defend himself with minimal effort, but needing to be paired with a more offensive style to score a winning blow. The higher levels of the form proved considerably more effective. Form II bladework encouraging precision and efficiency over power, using jabs, parries, and light cuts rather than slashes, blocks, and chops.

The blade manipulation required for this form was very calculated, requiring intense focus and expert timing. It was described as elegant, powerful, and precise, relying on feints to confuse and trap opponents. These refinements allowed a user of the form to attack and defend with minimal energy expenditure. Makashi also placed a great deal of emphasis on footwork in both attack and defense. The footwork of Form II practitioners commonly followed a single line, front and back, shifting the feet to keep in perfect balance as the practitioner advanced and retreated. Makashi was a style based on balance, on back-and-forth charges, thrusts, and sudden retreats. Makashi practitioners were also uncommonly adept at defending themselves from Force-based attacks. These elements combined to create a form that was extraordinarily effective for lightsaber combat against a single opponent.

Form III: Soresu: The Soresu form was devised to counter the widespread emergence of blasters, weapons that the previous Makashi form wasn't equipped to combat. The pragmatic Form III became the most defensive of the seven forms and utilized tight moves, consisting of subtle dodges and efficient parries, intended to provide maximum defensive coverage and minimize exposure to ranged fire. Over time, Form III came to transcend this basic and pragmatic origin and became an expression of non-aggressive Jedi philosophy. Soresu utilized tight motions, lightsaber moving every second in an attempt to achieve near-total protection, and expend as little energy in the process as possible. Form III stressed quick reflexes and fast positional transition, in order to overcome the rapidity with which a blaster could be fired. This technique minimized the body's exposure, making a well-trained practitioner practically invincible, which allowed Soresu to be effective against both single enemies and multiple opponents, as well as blasters and lightsabers. Form III involved preparation for prolonged battles where the user observed and learned as much as possible about their adversary's technique while engaged in combat. Also, being more optimized for lengthy battles, a Soresu user had the ability to gain control of a combat situation, creating multiple options for the Jedi employing the form.

Form IV: Ataru: Ataru was an aggressive combat form relying on a combination of strength, speed, and agility. Due to this, it was also called the Way of the Hawk-bat or the Aggression Form. Practitioners of Ataru were always on the offensive, attacking with wide, fast, and powerful swings. Form IV practitioners constantly called upon the Force to aid in their movements and attacks. By allowing the Force to flow throughout their body, they could overcome their physical limitations—including old age, as was the case with Master Yoda—and perform amazing feats of acrobatics, such as somersaults and backflips, not only for the attack but also to evade the slashes and strikes of their opponents. Jedi utilizing Ataru needed to incorporate all the Force powers that involved surpassing normal physical ranges of motion, speed, and agility in order to be successful. Running, jumping, and spinning were all emphasized in learning the elaborate kinetics of the form.

Form V: Djem So: Djem So was the creation of a group of Form III masters who felt that Soresu was too passive a form. It addressed the shortcomings of Form III, in which a Jedi Master could maintain a prolonged defense but was likewise unable to overcome a skilled opponent. Utilizing a combination of blocks and parries, a Djem So user maintained a proper foundation of defense against both ranged and melee attacks. While a Soresu user stayed on the defensive and only counterattacked when necessary or when an opening appeared in the opponent's defense, a Djem So practitioner was not as passive. Immediately after defending against an opponent's strike, a Djem So stylist followed with an attack of their own, bringing the force of the opponent's own blow against them and seeking to dominate the duel. Djem So placed a heavy focus on brute strength and pure power, with wide, powerful strikes and parries followed immediately by a counterattack.

◘Form VII: Juyo: Juyo was described as the most vicious form of lightsaber combat, and was said to be filled with both fury and "malignant grace." The form was given the title of the most difficult and demanding form in any of lightsaber combat. Skilled combatants with Juyo were said by Jedi Master Vrook Lamar to be able to "eviscerate a lone enemy"; in fact, it was designed for such a purpose in one-on-one lightsaber duels. According to the Sith Lord Darth Traya, the form was both chaotic and erratic, with a heavy focus on offense, and using techniques believed to have been rejected from Shii-Cho in the earliest days of the Jedi Order. Juyo's use was controversial among the Jedi Order, as many felt that Juyo violated the "there is no emotion, there is peace" tenet of the Jedi Code due to its requirement to fight under the guidance of controlled passion.
Force Protection: A power only achieved by high-rank Jedi Masters, Force protection made the bearer invulnerable to a wide range of attacks; the ultimate power in terms of defense.

Electric Judgement: Appears as emerald green energy instead of blue or white, but otherwise, it was very similar in both appearance and usage to the dark side Force power known as Force Lightning. The only difference was that the Jedi's application came from a sense of resolute justice. He can use Force Tempest with this ability.

Dark Transfer: is an extremely rare Force power that allowed the user to bring others back to life from the brink of death. It can also be used to kill or wreak havoc on anything organic.

Crucitorn: was a Jedi technique for transcending physical pain beyond normal thresholds or decreasing it. Crucitorn had two possible ways (speculative possibilities) of affecting a Force-user's target. Through means of mental infiltration, a Jedi could focus on another's sensation or interpretation of pain, enhancing it to seem as if an injury was more painful than it really was or alleviate the amount of pain produced. Another possible way that Crucitorn could increase the pain of a target was to literally focus on the wounds themselves, agitating them through the Force and causing more pain to course through the body, making it much more painful than how it would feel being left alone.

Combustion: also known in High Galactic as Flamusfracta, was an advanced, telekinetic Force ability that allowed users to cause objects to explode by sheer force of will. It was rarely used on a person, and the effects on inanimate objects and people were devastating. Depending on the size, density, and vulnerability of the object in question, combustion would become harder or easier to use successfully. The intensity of the blast could injure an entire room of enemies, particularly if the affected object is made of flammable material.

Battlemind: was a Force power wherein one's morale and fighting spirit was augmented through sheer focus, giving a user the drive to fight through even the hardest of conflicts. Through pure fighting spirit, the Battlemind ability could push the user's physical limits, allowing its user to overcome the disabilities of old age and even fading stamina. Users of Battlemind could find themselves fighting with a great deal more fiery and controlled passion, thus it was not common among the more orthodox fighting styles of the Jedi. However, those who couldn't effectively resist the pull of the dark side would find this ability pushing them closer to it.

Force Valor: was a light side Force power that increased the resolve, accuracy, and speed of one's self and one's allies. Tapping into the Force, a Jedi could increase the rate at which one's capacities functioned, allowing the body to move more quickly, strike more powerfully, and fight with improved accuracy. The ability shared similarities to Force Body and Enhance Attribute.

Morichro: Similar to a Force trance, morichro suspended biological functions, including breathing and heart rate. A trained morichro user could turn the technique upon himself, surviving without food, water, or even air for periods of over a year at a time, though it would not protect against vacuum. But unlike a Force trance, it could also be turned on others, making it an effective way of subduing enemies. However, failure to monitor a targeted opponent could render them permanently unconscious or cause them to die of dehydration or starvation.

Tutaminis: The skills associated with tutaminis all related to the idea that, through the Force, Force users could draw potentially harmful heat or electrical energy into their bodies and diffuse it or channel it away completely. Viewed as a starting point for further study in the Force, the Council of First Knowledge designated the study of tutaminis to be taught during the very first classes at Jedi academies. While the basics were expected to be mastered upon graduation from the academy, development of these skills would come over an entire lifetime, for a Jedi was never done learning. In addition to deflecting energy weapons, this ability could eliminate the harmful effects of other energy-based Force powers such as Force lightning. With additional effort, after absorbing a blaster bolt or Force power, the user could utilize the absorbed energy to heal his or her wounds or manifest other Force powers. Tutaminis was also described as a "non-harmful Force drain."

Valin can grab or deflect lightsabers with his bare hands and absorb their energy with this ability. As the basis of many abilities, tutaminis included many skills that were given proper or common names within the Jedi Order. Other abilities stem from this skill but were more personalized and not taught throughout the entire academy, if at all. Many skills, such as a simple body shielding or as advanced as catching and/or dispelling a lightsaber blade with one's bare hand, were all considered applications of tutaminis. Mastery in self-protection would include the capability to encase oneself in an energy field that could drain heat and electrical energy from incoming attacks. This ability would make the bearer invulnerable to kinetic and a wide range of energy-based attacks until the user discontinued its use, or it wore off when the user became fatigued. With this skill, it was possible to deflect blaster bolts with one's bare hands, though mastery of this skill was very difficult.

Battle Meditation: was a Force ability that considerably boosted the morale, stamina, and overall battle prowess of an individual's allies while simultaneously reducing the opposition's combat-effectiveness by eroding their will to fight. Battle meditation was the ability to use the Force to coordinate allies and even entire fleets of ships, allowing them to perform at maximum efficiency, acting as a single entity with the ability to counter every enemy move quickly and effectively. Though ideal for meditating large-scale conflicts, battle meditation was also effective when employed for the benefit of one's comrades in small skirmishes, attacks, and duels. It could also be used to simultaneously demoralize the opponents, reducing their combat effectiveness. Battle meditation was used to influence armies and fleets to win battles and even wars.

Precognition: also known as danger sense, was a universal Force power used by Force-sensitives with high experience in the Force. The ability of foresight was perhaps universal to the Jedi or Force-sensitives and was manifested in the form of Force visions of future events, guiding premonitions or warnings, and an inflow of prescience that helped the Jedi predict their opponent's movements.

Serenity: A brief meditative state that a Jedi could enter into to regain focus and power. Because it required patience, inner strength, and a deep connection to the Force, this ability was only attainable by Jedi Masters.

Force Body: was a type of Force technique that allowed any Force-sensitive to push their body's endurance past a safe limit, ignoring and sacrificing their health and well-being in order to sustain their connection to the Force. A very powerful connection to the Force was required for this ability's use. With this, a Jedi could live through what would otherwise kill them.

Shatterpoint: was a complex Force phenomenon, perceivable only by those with large innate talent or immense focus and concentration on the part of the Force user. Shatterpoints were akin to fault lines, similar to different pathways of actions. Adept Force users were able to perceive these faults through the Force and influence them. Shatterpoints were perceived like faults in a Corusca gem. In relation to events, a single "strike," or action, could cause events to transpire completely differently than they might otherwise have. Often, shatterpoints existed for only brief moments, as they could be affected by even the smallest actions. Shatterpoints could also be discovered in the physiology of living beings.

Alter Damage: Mastery of this skill came hand-in-hand with mastery over lightsaber combat, as it was used in conjunction with the use of the weapon. When used correctly, a practitioner could manipulate the energy of the lightsaber and reduce the damage caused to the target. Used while fighting both living and non-living opponents, this technique could make the difference between killing an opponent or completely disabling a droid or piece of machinery.

History:
Valin Ivalice is aged 32 years and is an Echani Force Sensitive--and a powerful one at that. He is the temple's first line of defense as a battle master, and having mastered several styles of combat with finesse, grace, and sometimes brutish strength he is an opponent even most seasoned Sith would think twice about engaging. With fluidity that is not remotely human he can switch sword forms quickly going from the delicate jabs of Makashii--to the hard-hitting and seemingly unstoppable blows of Dejem So; from the acrobatics of Ataru to the patience of Soresu and to top it off his many abilities amplify his extensive feats of physicality by more than double and if he needed to, he could use the force to push him far beyond the normal reaches of all but the most indomitable foes. Now take all that physical inertia and meld it with the craftiness of a Jedi Shadow whose sole purpose was to seek out dark relics and destroy them. He has the wisdom of a man three times his age and the patience of a saint.

Darth Cadem's 'Furor' Armor

Can I just say I love the amount of details that you put into your character like you even put the light-saber forms and that right there is inspirational

It's been a quite some time since I came back, so sorry for the sudden disappearance! Was busy with family situations and the holidays, but can assure you I have returned.

I mean a lil mayhem never hurt nobody

The guy is nearly 8ft tall and when armored weighs 8 metric tonnes, and has a fiendishly deceptive attack potency--and a massive Alchemically infused blade that can bit into Mandolorian armor preeeety good. Not saying it's a one-shot, Mando iron is dense as hell. But, the blade can oscillate meaning it cuts between the atoms of a material where its bonds are weakest this can also make the blade really hot!

So, yeah! He'll be really, really hard to beat--at first. I made him with Doomsday in mind so...yeah. xD

Oh, and its literally fueled by his pure, unadulterated malice and animosity. >>; Sooo there's that...His Furor armor? Furor is Latin just as Cruciatus is, Furor means "Rage; unbridled fury"

Can I have Circatus caus some Mayhem near you all?

D1.Live D1.Live
Monday Monday lp
Sure, as long as there's a good reason for him to be stomping around a random Coruscant neighborhood. It might be better to wait to interact with us directly until we resolve the hijacking situation so that we don't have too many issues piling up at once, and to let our characters get acquainted, but otherwise, the more the merrier.

How impervious is his armor? How well would it it hold up against a lightsaber, for example?

I will be honest--It's really hard to say. It's not like the materials I picked out have data on the melting point of Neurieum, Songsteel, or Phrik. And the evidence it does show of a lightsaber's effectiveness--well, I can tell you they all generally "highly resistant" or able to deflect glancing blows. But the disparity in what determines "highly resistant" is vague. One substance can stand having a lightsaber turned on inside vase (Vass?) of Neurieum--on the other hand, another "Highly resistant" material survived the obliteration of Alderaan "intact". So.....yeah! Dun ask about scratches or dents in Phrik--I think that's a moot point. If It can survive the planet exploding--I don't think a lightsaber getting through that soon enough form not to swat you. Not to mention his armor, as shown, is overlapping and segmented in areas particularly the joints. Those might be made of lighter material like Songsteel, the outer 'husk' is made of Neurieum but behind that is Phrik. I say the order of hardness goes Phrik, Songsteele then Neurieum.

Phrik was a rare metallic compound that was one of only a few lightsaber-resistant substances known. It was used in the construction of extremely light and durable battle armor as well as melee weapons. On a more extreme scale, at one point in the Galactic Civil War, a container of phrik was able to stay intact when it was on the surface of Alderaan during its destruction.

Songsteel was highly resistant to lightsaber strikes in a manner similar to phrik and cortosis, as shown by Jedi Master Darrus Jeht who wielded a songsteel sword in a practice lightsaber duel.

Neuranium was a metallic substance used to shield from radiation, and one of the heaviest and densest metals in the galaxy. A millimeter of it could stop most scanners, and it could even temporarily block lightsaber energy.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I wanted to be informed so my actions in fight scenes would make sense. Since we don't know their exact melting points, you can always allow damage to be inflicted whenever it's convenient for the plot- which is how roleplays tend to go anyway, haha. Incidentally, that armor suit must have been extremely expensive to make.

Yeah, just a smidge! And damned heavy--and very hard to...poke...>.>
