After the brutal Dominion war that cost billions of lives the Federation has decided to go back to their exploration roots though being more cautious about it. As such they created a new starship class called the Odyssey. It is outfitted with the latest technological advancements available to the federation. The first of it's kind promptly named the Odyssey started on a routine mission to Vulcan to see how well it could be handled. Do to unforeseen events the Odyssey and it's crew were thrusted 2.5 million light years into the neighboring galaxy of Andromeda. Now the crew must adapt to their new circumstances as they meet new allies and enemies alike.
