Spider Society Headquaters ,, Earth-S ❜ ─ 𝘵𝘩𝘦 beginning ─ ❛
tldr: the various signals and npc recruitment teams have been sent out to different universes in hopes of gathering more heroes. players can choose where and how they begin.

On planet Earth-S, home to the Spider Society Headquarters and free from villain activity so far, thirty-four-year-old Chief Cortéz has just distributed various types of signals across the multiverse to all worlds where known Spider-heroes reside. To universes where technology isn’t advanced enough to receive digital messages, some elite Spider-heroes have been sent out to recruit unknowing Spider-heroes face-to-face. It is Cortéz's wish that they can pick up as many new recruits as possible, who, hopefully will willingly follow directions, instructions, coordinates or a Spider Society recruiter directly back to the Headquarters on Earth-S through a portal. Those who are already part of the society are able to hop between universes using their dimensional travel watches.

Alejandro Viego Cortéz ❜ ─ 𝘵𝘩𝘦 chief commander ─ ❛
mentions: frost spider, splash web ; location: spider society headquarters, earth-s
tldr: stressed and in his office, cortéz is waiting to see how many new recruits the spider society can find as the situation remains dire. he casually wonders where frost spider and splash web are.

Alejandro Viego Cortéz: A tall and seemingly intimidating man who was rumoured to be incapable of smiling. He was standing in his new medium-sized white office with his hands on his hips, looking up at a holographic screen with maroon-coloured eyes and frowning slightly as he took in the information. The multitude of incidents occurring across the multiverse weren’t slowing down in the slightest, and in a way, the Spider Society was swamped. Cortéz hadn’t been Chief Commander for very long, and, in truth, he didn’t know if he could do as good of a job as the previous Chief Commander did who was a wise, forgiving and natural-born leader. Regardless, there was no turning back now, and crumbling wasn’t an option. He had been appointed the new 'leader' in place of the late Commander who had treated him like a son and taught him how to master his abilities, though Cortéz still struggled to think of himself as a worthy leader.

"Zyra." he said in a calm tone, pressing a button on the cuff of his spidersuit and causing a yellow-tinted hologram of a woman to appear. Zyra was his artificial intelligence personal assistant who, despite not being human, looked and acted almost exactly like one, besides being entirely holographic, of course. "Any news on the new recruits?" he asked, eager to hear how the recruitment operation was going. Zyra couldn't help but laugh quietly in response to Cortéz's question, first assuming that he was joking due to how recently the mission had started. "..Oh, shoot- you were serious?" Zyra suddenly said, observing the man's unchanging expression and realising that he hadn't been joking at all when he asked for the update. "It hasn't been that long since we sent the signals and recruiters out, Alejandro, what do you expect? If it helps, the heroes should be receiving the signals right about now." the hologram replied honestly, her hands moving as she talked. "We should be updated soon enough!" she added enthusiastically, the quirky and optomistic hologram almost being Cortéz's exact opposite despite them being quite close friends. Cortéz raised his eyebrows for a second, realising that Zyra was right, just as she always was.

"Ah.. I suppose you're right." the Chief responded, walking over to one of the room's large windows and peering outside at another area in the Headquarters. He had wanted to visit some of the Spider-heroes' worlds himself to aid the recruiting, but right now he needed to stay put on Earth-S while the Spider Society's defences were lower than usual - especially with all the new cases of anomalies and villains appearing out of nowhere in different universes. Admittedly, it's highly likely no villain would dare stepping foot on Earth-S unless they had a death wish. "In that case, could you send out a message to Piper Pitka and Nicky Peter? They may not be at the HQ at the moment, but if they are, tell them I'd like to see them soon." he asked, referring to two heroes who were already members of the society. "On it, boss!" Zyra responded, sending the data over immediately. The two heroes would likely see the message the next time they had their Spidersuits on, but Alejandro wasn't too urgent about having the conversation. After all, he was still waiting for any sign of the new recruits, not wanting to leave his office just yet in case something new came through.

"AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! WHAT IS THIS PLACE?! I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS!!!"A yellow haired boy dressed in a millitary uniform with Spider hero patterns,a yellow and orange haori and yellow and orange mask over his eyes looked around in panic.
"WHERE DID YOU TAKE ME?!" he shouts to the armored figure who brought him to this world.
"Come on Zen,chill out little dude!" said the 20 year old young man with messy blond hair, blue eyes, frickles over his face and wearing a red and blue armor suit.
"This is the Spider Society. Our headquarters, where we travel to other worlds and fight bad guys."
"This is already bad enough that I fight demons back in my world..." the yellow clad boy,Zenitsu Agatsuma said, sobbing. "But fighting super humans...I'm gonna die!!"
The armored Spider hero activated his com." Chief commander,I brought Zenitsu Agatsuma from EarthK2016B" he told Chief Commander Cortez.
"I wanna go home and see Nezuko Chan..."Zenitsu said, sobbing.

[Piper Pitka - Frost-Spider: Spider Society HQ; Cafeteria]
"We don't always get it right." Piper Pitka sand under her breath along with the music in her ear buds.
The music helped isolate her form the hubbub of the rest of the Spider Society's cafeteria kitchen. Cooking was something she had gotten in to during her recovery. A rather bland diet from her early life had led her to appreciating more flavorful meals, with the act of cooking having a calming affect on her. Thanks to the current multiverse traveling job, she had been exposed to something called Creole food. After some experimenting, she learned how to make a good pot of jambalaya. Dipping up a bowl from the big pot before waving to one of the regular kitchen staff that is was ready. Whether the staff put it out for everyone or kept it as a treat for them wasn't Piper's concern.
Taking her bowl to a nice overlook of Spider Central, Piper settled down to the unpleasant task she had been cooking to steel herself for. Taking a few bites of jambalaya, she pulled out her phone and hit the button to sync with her fancy watch Cortéz gave her. It allowed her to send and receive messages across the dimensions. She had been avoiding checking for a bit, fearful of what would be waiting for her. She had been putting it off far too long, deepening her fear. Piper's heart nearly stopped when she saw she had 56 messages. She quickly opened the app to see what was going on to find 2 messages from Aunt Jun, 1 from Hal, and 53 from Deathpool.
"How did you get my number?" Piper muttered in frustration as she scrolled through the messages from her "bestie".
Pictures of food. A diatribe against the rarity of queso. Half a dozen selfies. And the last two asking if Piper was back in town and if so, she and Deathpool needed to talk. Piper was sure Deathpool, by definition, had more important things to do besides bother her. But this another delaying tactic. Taking a steadying breath, Piper opened the message from Hal. It was essentially a status report on the borough, ending with a question when she would be back. From Aunt Jun, there was one showing pictures of her indoor garden she was cultivating, and the other was asking after Piper.
"Damn it." Piper swore.
This was always tough. She never knew what to say. No, she knew what she had to say, but had no idea how to. She started to compose a message back to Aunt Jun when Zyra's message from Cortéz. Feeling first relief then shame from this chance to put off replying, Piper put her phone away and focused on eating her jambalaya before heading off to meet with the Chief.

Cpl. Mike Page The Spider-Man of The Second World War!
Location: HQ, Plaza.

He fell. No, he's falling! A lone figure flailed around in a vortex of clashing, eye-searing colours. A swirling whirlpool that seems to spiral on and on and on and on. The technicolour waves bash, thrash, and clash against his body as if he were this rocky coastline, seeking to whittle him down into nothing. Each wave throws his flailing body around. He tries to grasp at anything, but only receiving armfuls of empty space, he tries to kick off something, but there is nothing solid.

He extends an arm out in his tumbling. Middle and ring fingers depress the centre of his palm. The thin, grey strand of webbing shoots out at the nauseating void before it is splayed and torn apart.

All meanings of time have faded in Michael Page's mind. He could be falling for one minute or one hour, five days or five months, or is perhaps a year? Could be years.

"Well, Mike, you've certainly gotten yourself behind the 8-ball now!" He thinks to himself as he bounces off the semi-solid walls of the maelstorm. At the very least, he's managing to string coherent thoughts by now; before he felt like he was woken up out of bed by a fragmentation grenade underneath the bedframe. The memories of how he came to this particular predicament filled his mind piecemeal.

German Castle. Scientific experiments, new breed of electro-thermal weaponry. Howlers at his side. Ratta-ratta, guns roaring on either side. And then... And then... He clutches his helmeted head. Seeking desperately to reminiscence.

"Come on, Mike, come on." He prodded himself. "Valentin!" He hollered into the shifting abyss like a madman at the moon. It all became clear to him now. Valentin wanted the bratwurst eaters new energy source, he raided the castle from one end while Mike and the Howlin' Commandos attacked it from the front. Then they met in the middle, their fight ensued, Sgt. Nick Fury managed to sneak a potato-masher—as the Brit, Percival, called them, a Type 24 stielhandgranate—behind Valentin's back which distracted the whimsically insane, cocky sorcerer. Long enough for Mike to leap onto the floating magician with a dozen parlor tricks and wring his accursed neck!

And yet, that wacko managed to loose one last spell. Mike couldn't make out the words, not as if he'd understood them anyway, but one second, he was surrounded by ashlar and rubble and his buddies, the next he's stuck in this place. Whatever it is, it's beginning to sicken his stomach.

Just as hope was nearly lost, Mike's eye catches a single point, a tiny dot of stable, soothing colours, a type of cold, white metal. He twists his body around, regaining a semblance of aerial control, his cheeks puff the mask as he breathes. He doesn't know how much speed he's built up falling from this endless void. Well, he hopes whatever poor, white-livered chump who has to clean up his handsome splat gets a good day.

His arms lift above his head while legs chamber against his body. Then... Crash! Like a car going 90 miles into a wall, Mike hits the ground feet first then rolling along the ground. His gear, rucksack, Garand, and 1911 rattle against his body and the metal floor. "Agh... Gonna feel that later." He grits his teeth in pain. Hand adjusting the helmet to not obscure his eyes. Yet in a way, he wishes that it still did. "What the..." He stares in amazement at the place he just found himself. A giant sprawl of metal, circuitry, and whatever doohickeys. "I don't think even H.G Wells could cook up something this fantastical..." He wonders aloud.

He picked himself up from the floor and just stared. He still couldn't believe his eyes. "That's a lotta spider-motifs running around." He observed. Instinct told him to get out, but higher reasoning stayed his feet. That and he's fairly certain he shouldn't be running right now.

He rubbed the back of his masked neck. "Well... Now what?"

Shang-Chi still felt like he had a lot to learn.

He tried his best not to let complacency and hubris become him, but after a while, one would be hard-pressed to deny that nine years going as the Invincible Spider-Man, which included a few months under his belt as a member of the Spider-Society, meant he had a lot of experience, even compared to a number of the other heroes that the Society had recruited, so if someone earnestly needed his help in figuring out how to become a better hero, how to accept their role as a protector, who was he to deny them a learning experience?

Hailing from an Earth that had its fair share of heroes to look after the place while he was gone, Shang-Chi was decently comfortable leaving New York in the hands of his fellow allies. He'd only hoped that his dear little sister wouldn't take this opportunity to kill some criminals while he wasn't looking, but that was why he asked Iron Fist to look after her in the meantime.

Even before he'd received the signal from the big bad Chief Commander to come in to HQ, Shang-Chi was already spending his time in a different Earth. Specifically, Earth-1818, home to Debra Whitman, AKA Spiderlady. Though she seemed to have quite a few years of her own under her belt as a hero, Shang-Chi could easily peer into her and see the pain and anxiety that plagued her, and before he knew it, he had become fast friends with her. It felt a bit arrogant to call himself a mentor to her, but of course, once again he couldn't deny that he was there to help her out, be a guiding hand for her. He not only taught Debra the fundamentals of martial arts, but also workshopped how to incorporate her extra arms into a fighting style to call her own, and also taught her how to meditate, how to effectively leave her anxieties behind and let go of everything, if only for just a few moments.

But when the signal reached their watches, Shang-Chi and Debra had to cut their training session short, and with that, hopped over to the Spider-Society's headquarters, materializing into the front lobby through a portal of their own making.

Looking over to Debra, Shang-Chi casually spoke to her with a lightly teasing edge. "You know, it's too bad Venusian Aikido isn't a real thing. Seems like the kind of thing that would be perfectly tailored for you."

Shang-Chi had no business making that kind of reference, but here he was.

"Anyway, I wonder what the Big Boss is calling us out for. Must be pretty serious business."

He did, however, have the right to make that one. Still, on a more serious note, the notion did remain that it wasn't often they were called up like this. He wondered what the occasion was; it'd certainly have to be some sort of big emergency if it required the presence of the entire Society and then some. Even so, Shang-Chi didn't let himself worry too much.

He was Spider-Man, after all, and with others like him by his side, what could possibly go wrong?

Mary inhaled drawing in the smoke from her cigarette as she read over the message that had popped up on her phone. Really how did they get her number, darn spider society butting in on other dimensions again. The first meeting had gone not exactly good or bad, but Mary wasn't that interested in other dimensions, that was just asking for trouble. Mary took another puff of smoke and flicked the half done stick away. That was one good thing about her situation no worry about cancer, but she also couldn't really get drunk so no drowning her troubles in alcohol. Mary did wonder why the wall crawler conventions would call her, she doubted it was to exchange tips on the best way to web sling. Mary tapped her foot with irritation at her own inability to make up her mind on the topic. Yeah she had been a spider person, but something had not been right with her spiderness ever since the deal. Mary was unsure if what was an issue for a bunch of other spider people was really her issue. Still they had called out for her so it had to be something important given how soundly she had rejected them last time not willing to head off to some other world and leave hers alone and undefended. Well undefended was an overstatement, Mary was reminded of that as one of the many shield helicarriers cast a shadow over her. This world had plenty of heroes that could deal with threats she was just a garbage man for Doom that was all that made her different. Mary was a murder, though those she had killed all had broken the rules, they had been corrupt and full of sin the souls of those they harmed had needed vengeance.

" What would you do Gwen?" Mary asked as despite the years that had passed Mary still found herself asking Gwen for moral advice even if Gwen couldn't hear her anymore. Mary fished out the amulet, a golden circle inscribed with runes and studded with tiny gems and one large green one in the center. Mary could feel the soul of Gwen inside and despite Gwen being asleep Mary knew the answer that Gwen would have given.

" Yeah you are right I should go " Mary said though it was only her thinking and speaking, she just remembered all the times she had tried to be selfish and Gwen had always told her to do the good and right thing. " I wonder what you would think of what i did to get you back?" Mary asked and not for the first time, though for this her memories of Gwen had no answer, really she had died not learning how vile heaven and hell really were.

" Well time to get going i guess " Mary said her body burning away as violet flames emerged her flesh and muscles melted and vaporized into nothing but smoke as she felt the spirit of vengeance cry out at all the wrongs of the world only to be smothered by Mary's will. If she let it scream and scream it would have her running around forever to right every last wrong ever done. No one had time for that so Mary kept it burred a tiny whisper barely coherent in the back of her head.

Mary stretched out and arm doing the familiar hand symbol most spider people did to shoot webbing, though from her wrist came not just webbing but more violet fire. The webs moved almost as if alive before Mary grabbed the end of the strands and started to twirl them about over her head like a chain or whip. Then she brought them down the end hitting the grounds below with a thunderous crack that left a crater in the ground. Mary then started to swing her outstretched arm in a circle slowly bringing the web strands back to live as it lifted twirling more more more the circle tight at first but slowly expanding a circle of fire forming before the end of the web strand. Mary twirled and twirled the web the fire circle becoming more and more solid it she forced a burst of energy forward and tore a hole between worlds. She could see through to the spider cave or home web or whatever pun the spider society had named their main base of earth spider, she assumed S stood for spider in earth S.

On Earth S the flaming portal appeared a 2 way opening between worlds, though when a portal made of violet flames just randomly showed up that rarely was a good thing. This time instead of some monster or dark god coming from the portal it was just a flaming Skelton with a spider symbol burning on the back of her jacket. Many earths likely had their own ghost riders and so anyone with one would recognize the look of one when they saw them.

" Well this had better be good you called in the big guns" Mary said looking from spider to spider for the man she knew organized the rabble as the flaming portal closed behind her.

Noé Aguilar

filler

  • Noé Aguilar, known in his universe as Outlaw or the 'spider crime-lord menace' —depending on who you asked— left his criminal life behind and with it his alias of Prowler.

Now, Noé was set on eradicating New York's influx of gangs from inside the game and so he gathered a group of ex-convicts and hired goons, and named them 'The Prowlers'. They were dedicated to protect civilians from gang violence and people were grateful to them for their deeds, the corporations that often got their goods stolen by Noé not so much, but all in all he and his subordinates had built a solid reputation.

With this newfound responsibility and fame, came various challenges that the mexican teen had to overcome along the years. Only a tiny bit of help from others needed, Noé had developed into a better vigilante two years into being Outlaw.

Even though his journey of growth was far from over, he thought he was prepared for anything. But boy was he wrong.

This was Noé's first day at the Spider-society, as the guy who recruited him had called it. The man brought him here and left him all alone, saying he had to go take care of some business and telling Noé to either find a seasoned member who could give him a tour of the headquarters or get something to eat from the Cafeteria. Noé, whose brain was still reeling with the idea of a multiverse, absentmindedly nodded and continued to stare some more at the intricate design of paths and hallways that composed the web-like structure.

A couple of hours ago he had been ready to take on his community college's midterm tests, questioning what he would do about the out of the blue flare-up of rival gangs, yet now here he was. All geared up and ready to fight an eldritch entity to prevent the collapse of previously mentioned multiverse, of which he still couldn't grasp the concept of.

He shaked his head in disbelief and let out a breathy laugh. What had his life turned into?

The young man was happy his mask provided a layer between his face and people's judging eyes, as they would no doubt take a look at his wide-eyed expression and label him a newbie. Not that he cared what people thought of him.

Temporarily out of his stupor —at least until something else rocked his world— Noé scanned the unknown, geometric-looking and brightly lit hallway he found himself at. It was just outside of the main lobby, because he could see people arriving and leaving. The anti-hero leaned against the wall, arms and ankles crossed in a faux casual posture, letting the traffic of spider-people flow through and pass him by. No one gave him a second glance, probably used to the sudden appearance of new members.

With nothing much else to do, Noé observed the eccentric array of costumes among the Spider-society. They came in all types of sizes, shapes and colours —and was that guy in black and white?—. Every time a particular costume caught his eye, he would whistle under his breath in appreciation. It was mainly the technology-heavy ones that impressed him, it all looked so advanced and the engineer inside of him couldn't help but freak out.

He did a double take when his gaze landed on someone wearing an extravagant armor that had Noé convinced they were a real life robot —a spider-robot?—, like the ones in that Terminator movie that had recently come out. Those gadgets were so masterfully crafted that Noé was tempted to approach the person and ask them how they had engineered something like that, but he reconsidered because that would be awkward as hell.

He had trouble initiating conversations, after all Noé was the kind of guy to stand by the sidelines, chime in with sarcastic remarks and remain silent otherwise. Unless he was the one in command, in which case he just barked orders and called it a day. Anyway, his people skills weren't outstanding.

And so Outlaw was stuck here, giving off the same vibe as a lost puppy.

Wistfully, he wondered what the guys back at his universe were doing. The Prowlers were to take on a small gang that formed in southern Brooklyn and while he had no doubt they'd be able to handle such a simple task by themselves, Noé still wished he could be kicking ass with them.

Today was one of those days when he acutely felt his skin brush against the material of his suit and his warm breath making his face sweaty. The young man deduced his secret identity was not-so secret anymore, but he still abstained from pulling out the mask to refresh, thoroughly distrustful. Instead, he let himself slide down the wall by an inch and looked down at his wrist where the watch everyone else seemed to own wasn't there, as they hadn't given him one yet.

If no one came to get him in the next five minutes, he would have to figure out what to do on his own. Like always.

The hustle and bustle of the Spider-Society headquarters almost felt like being in school again, which Ji-eun didn't expect to experience again so soon. The only real difference was in the variety of blurry colors that daubed in front of her eyes everywhere she turned, and the amount of times she heard the word "spider", which wasn't that much more, but still made a difference. That and the convenience available to many of these people in the form of slanted pillars they could just...walk on. Thankfully there were still pathways for the less...gifted like her.

The spicy roll of gimbap sitting in her belly evoked a quiet burp from her as she walked, running her fingers across the book she had open in her hand. It was convenient that braille print seemed to be a little more accessible here than in her world. She wasn't expecting to have to look into quantum physics so much, but it really was the only way she could be helpful to whatever plans Mr. Cortez had for the spider people.

It was at this juncture that she noticed a broad, purple and green smear sliding down the wall, seemingly either lost or fairly relaxed. With the Spider-Society resembling some baffling cross between a military base, a research lab, a university, and a shopping mall, you could never really tell who had a job to do and who was just trying to make sense of things.

The only way to find out was to ask. "You...Aguilar, yes? Or should I call you...Outlaw? I mean, I don't know, I'm not into the whole mask thing. Do you have somewhere to be?"

  • Noé had sensed her approaching but thought she would go about her day instead of stopping and talking to him, so he had to admit he was a bit caught off guard. He blinked a couple of times before his brain fully processed her words. The boy felt mildly relieved that someone had acknowledged him but it was tainted with uncertainty, because it was clear his secret identity wouldn't be respected in this Spider-society, as this stranger had already learned the name he spent years trying to keep secret.

He was obligated to hope they took great care of that kind of information.

Sighing, he turned his head to put a face to the voice. The girl in front of him was… normal. It's not what he would call her usually, would probably be more surprised by her Asian ethnicity if they had met in school or a similar environment. But here, among a sea of flamboyant spider-people, she looked unassuming with her school outfit and book in hand.

And she did say she didn't know about masks, so was it possible for a civilian to be here and be somehow fighting alongside the Spider-society? Noé mentally shook his head. The worst mistake you could make is not underestimating your enemy, but your allies, he remembered the advice given by his mentor. Just because the girl wasn't wearing a costume or wasn't in the masked businesses at all, didn't automatically make her defenseless. He wasn't one to judge based on appearance, or judge in general.

Noé realized that he had taken too long to answer and immediately replied. "You can call me Noé, it's fine." He shrugged, detaching himself from the wall and straightening his posture. The boy was taller than the girl, but not by much. "And if I have somewhere to be, I don't really know where that is."

He walked up to her, his boots making no sound as he stepped, and stayed a respectable distance away but enough for them to talk more comfortably. A beat later where no one said anything, Noé clarified, "I was brought here today but the guy who recruited me ran off."

The boy hoped she would give him an inkling of the procedure here, but honestly he would be satisfied with just getting directions to the cafeteria. His stomach might start eating itself at this rate.

Cpl. Mike Page The Spider-Man of The Second World War!
Location: HQ, Plaza. Interactions: Archie. Archie. Nellancholy Nellancholy Mentions: Karcen Karcen

If he felt nauseously disoriented before, now he was just plain lost. His body swiveled in place as he gathered his bearings. The thought of this being a dream still impressed itself on his mind. An adrenaline-fueled, high-octane dream that'll pass. However, an unexpected levity, a silverlining to this debacle: His Spider-Sense wasn't a coked-up migraine that played like a drummer who overstayed his welcome on the stage. He breathed out to savour this inner quiet. With hands on hips, Mike stretched his torso back and forth. Might as well, look like I belong. He tucked a knuckle under his chin as he surveyed the full-on flamboyance on display. These folk were more colourful than a damn Mardi Gras parade.

He slipped fingers under his rifle's strap. But just before he walked off, he took one last look above him. Except... the portal that he fell through has vanished. Gone into the wind like an absentee father. This elicited a low-grumbling as his palm rubbed clean the weathered goggles of his mask. He began walking.

Just as he cut through the crowd of spider-folk, an overpowering metallic taste burned his tongue. Like someone jabbing a hot, lead spoon on it. His hand reflexively swam up to cover his mouth. Magic, he grimaced. That's what it was. A potent concentration of magic. He allowed this additional sense, the Necro-sense as he came to call it, to paint a cloud of microscopic blips on his radar, but they paled in comparison to the blaring, blazing dot in his mind. He turns his head to face this inferno of magic; and what an inferno it is! His eyes lock to the violet, flame-headed super. A skull as grim as death herself, enveloped by a plume of lavender. She had a certain beauty to her dancing flames, Michael admits, but he kept his distance and forced his eyes front. Enough distance and he should be free of that irritating sensation.

The sea of this madness did give way at last. Actually, Mike himself managed to identify one person who looked as lost as he was, a purple-suited, green-accented individual talking to an average... Christ, is that a kid? Page blinked his peepers once or twice, instead deducing that she looked to be about teenage years. Well, he supposes that he can't fault anyone, he started his career when he was tenderly seventeen.

Eavesdropping on their conversation, he confirmed his suspicion that the purple spider was just as lost as he. Good, good, he nodded. Work up the chain of command, lowest to highest, easy way of gathering information.

He moved stealthily. A practiced technique, even with the thick boots on his feet. "You're not the only guy wet behind the ears." The rough-voiced Spider-Man called. "A neat-little map wouldn't do a fella harm or a floor directory." Now he looked to the young woman. Asian and with the way she's dressed, she stands out amidst the sea of colourful characters. Coupled that with the fact that she was unmasked indicated several things, although Page doesn't want to assume.

Sitting by himself at this time, Preston Parks, the teenaged superhero from the Pokemon world, and local resident of Castellia City, had his mask off while he was reading the very first issue of Gligar Man. He held the comic in one hand, and with his free hand, he had a frozen ice cream, wich had a banana flavor and shape, which he'd take a bite from every few moments. With his mask off, he had a very feminine appearance, and often gets confused for a girl because of that.

Preston reached the end of the comic, before closing it. He still had the treat in hand however. He put the comic away in a secret compartment in his outfit, because getting up to walk off, and maybe finish his treat before someone started to get the wrong idea. The last time a counterpart of The Galvantula saw him, they laughed. Preston punched their lights out, but would get a 2 day suspension from the HQ because of that.

Okay, maybe he did have a odd way of eating ice cream, but no one makes fun of that one guy who litterally was a Tepig in spandex scarf down a whole plate of 30 hotdogs. Ok, he called himself SpiderPig, but he reminded Preston of one of the popular starter pokemon a trainer can start their journey with in Unova. After he got to one of the exit/entrance of the Cafeteria, he scarfed the remaining treat down, before pulling his mask up and over his face.
"Alright Preston, let's go see if anyone needs my help"

He would web sling his way into the Plaza, and he'd get the crackling feeling. That was his version of Spider sense, but what even is a spider? His sense drew his attention towards a trio of Spider-hero-
Wait, why is one of them not even in uniform, and looks like she's a school student?
Preston hesitated for a moment, mid swing as he tried to figure out his plan of action.

To try and talk with the girl and the black and Purple spider people or not to. He went with his heart and decided to go talk to them.
He would let go of the web and flip down to land on the ground with grace, but he overshot his landing spot and crashed into the school girl.
Preston pushed himself up and look at the girl, his expression concealed by his mask, as he asked in a very feminine voice to her,
"Sorry! Are you hurt?"

Preston definitely had his Cheeks turn red from the impact.

Well, looked like Ji-eun was on welcome wagon duty today. She didn't want to feel like she was resenting the situation, but she couldn't help but feel like someone else was better suited to get the new arrivals situated. Where WAS Zyra? You'd think that computer...programmy thing would be around to help them figure out their bearings. Still, Mother did not raise a quitter.

She tilted her head towards the taller man ( Worthlessplebian Worthlessplebian ), doing her best to get a picture of him. Some Spider-People got the tingle, but the best she had was the wind in her hair when something was about to hit her. So, new guy. Heavy step, carrying a bunch of gear. What kind of gear, she wasn't sure, and she wasn't so curious as to try and find out with her hands. Maybe he was a Spider-Plumber or something. "They don't hand out maps here, I think. There's a big one in one of the lobbies and there are signs, but I guess most people here just...know. You ARE supposed to have this, though." She lifted her right arm so Aguilar and the new arrival could see the wristband. "It's a personal assistant meant to help you get around. As in, to other dimensions if you need to. But for now..."

She tilted her head slightly towards Aguilar. "Are you feeling a little out of it? I can take you to the medbay if you need. Or are you just hungry? The cafeteria's just this way. Turns out some of these spiders are decent cooks." She paused. "And my name's Lee Ji-eun." It would be gauche to expect them to know that name, or introduce herself as the daughter of Lee Da-eun, CEO of Roxxon, so she didn't.

Before she could turn to direct them further, a girl all but dropped down from the air, narrowly avoiding falling down onto her. God, did people just forget about the right of way in this place because of the tingle?

"Don't worry. I'm fine." Holding out her arm to keep the girl at a distance, Ji-eun made a show of dusting herself off. "But try to be careful where you land."

Earth-1818 - Spiderlady

To say that the place was a dump was an understatement. Debra had been concerned when Shang Chi had promised to train her, after what had been at least for her a very disappointing first outing with the Spider-army, that her current place of living wouldn't be up to snuff.

Despite that she had done her best to clean up the currently vacant part of the tunnel system going under New York for some training. There were a few burning barrels spaced around for some light. Debra had found a mannequin she decided worked as a substitute training dummy. Before his arrival she'd shooed off any nosy neighbors as well as friends. While a hero in her own right, not being able to fight was a bit of a sore spot for her and she didn't want anyone from the Misfits to see her flounder.

As he arrived, Spider-man would realize there was a lot of work to put in. Debra's transformation to the hero known as Spiderlady had been gruesome and in the right hands delivered a very menacing and foreboding silhouette. Debra however almost always seemed to be standing hunched over with her six arms looking to hide that while scary, a second glance over showcased a rather sad sight.

"I just don't know if I'm up for this," Debra lamented after their sparing session was finished. "While I really do appreciate your helping hands it's just," she flailed her arms about. "Not coming along as I expected..." As she said that the summons arrived as she looked at her watch. She had only been part of the army for a month, well, 34 days, 12 hours and 5 minutes to be exact, she was quite honored to get the call.

"I don't know," she replied. "Probably something important, yes." With a nod she followed after Shang-Chi as they arrived at the plaza. Seeing so many gathered made her slightly nervous and shrunk down further as she tailed the martial arts spider.

The clumsy Spider hero /Demon Slayer got up after tripping, only to notice the two Spider hero near him. The first one with the spider/dragon armor and the second,a woman...with six arms? " Why do you have six arms Will I end up like that too?! AHhhhI...I...I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to offend you! I respect women ... tell you the truth I didn't sign up for this!" Zenitsu said, crying ,tears flowing from the eye pieces of his mask. "I was bitten by a demon spider! Shinobu said that I woudn't get any physical change though." He added.

WAIT...WHAT AM I DOING? Why am I telling my life story to strangers from another world. With spider powers like me! I'm gonna die for sure!"

"Don't be so hard on yourself, Deb. These things just take time. It's just a matter of patience," Shang-Chi said, lightly nudging her shoulder as he spoke. Whereas Debra might have doubted herself, Shang-Chi truly did see the makings of a true hero just waiting to be unleashed. "Like Buddha once said, everything comes to you in the right moment. You just need to want to--" He began, until he was unceremoniously interrupted.

As a young blonde boy was plopped right into the plaza, Shang-Chi could only look at him with a blank expression underneath his mask, unable to get a word in between the boy's panicked yells. It didn't take too long to piece together that he must have been a brand new recruit, probably a noted reserve member. Well, the situation must surely be dire if they were resorting to the reserves now, but in the meantime...

"Hey, uh, alright, okay," he stammered awkwardly between Zenitsu's panic. Shang-Chi was never the kind of person who found himself explaining the workings of the multiverse so any new recruits he'd stumbled upon, much less an emergency reserve member, but here he was now. "Alright, you're alright. Calm down, no one here's gonna hurt you. We're all friends here... even if it might not look the case. What's your name, chum? I'm Shang-Chi, and this is Debra," he said to the blonde boy, gesturing toward Debra as he spoke.

Zenitsu looked at Shang-Chi as he talked to him and introduced himself and the six armed woman,Debra.
"My name is Zenitsu Agatsuma. I'm a Demon Slayer and...what's that hero name Ubuyashi-sama gave me? Thunder...Spider...Samourai? I thinl that's it!" he said. " During a mission on Mt Natsgumo...I was searching for my friends as the forest was the home of a Spider demon family led the lower moon 5 of the Demon king's Muzan Kibutsuji. I ended up encountering one of the Spider Demon, and was bitten by one of his demon spiders.Thought instead of turning me into one of his human headed spider minions. That poison gave me spider powers. That's what Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira of the Demon Slayer corps, explained to me. The poison slightly altered my genetic makeup." Zenitsu explained."I'm so glad that I'm still human...despite those new powers."

He looked around. "This looks more advanced then back home. I was born in the city in Tokyo. It looks more advanced then the Taisho era technology back at home. My friends Tanjiro and Inosuke grew up in the montains, with no knowledge of modern tech!
I mean, they have never seen a steam train before. That idiot Inosuke thought it was a monster and attacked it! He almost got us into trouble!"

The fact that the first thing Mary heard after exiting to portal was a scream of terror did not make Mary think highly of the society. They were scarping the bottom of the barrel or maybe they had tunneled through it to get to some idiot that was scared by a mere ghost. Ghosts were nothing barely even worth the time it took to g et rid of them and those with a bit of darkness to give them powers were just as easy to destroy as those without, just they had bigger heads. Mary watched the boy fall flat on his face and wondered just how someone like that could be called a spider. She didn't quite have the same reflexes as others but not even she tripped and fell on nothing. Soon two other spider people were by the crybaby and Mary couldn't help but agree with his words or well some of the sentiment behind them.

Mary approached the the spider her form still that of the rider though despite being a blazing inferno of fire she didn't emit any heat, at least she didn't right now. " Well looks like I'm not the only demon slayer around here " Mary chuckled " Though i suspect our demons are very different spider crybaby" Mary said deciding to give Zebitsu a nickname she felt more suited his disposition. her tone was harsh yet at the same time playful she was serious about demons and this boy being a cry baby but she wasn't trying to hurt him just mess with him.

Mary then looked to the armored spider shang and would give off the impression she was smiling even though her face was just a blazing skull " Now what's the use of having cool hero names if we are not going to use them?" Mary asked this time clearly joking about the situation " I am Spider Rider " She said not divulging her civilian name she had gotten a few weird reactions from some of the miscellaneous spiders last time she had met a few and shown who she was. Something about being a Mary made way to many spider people odd around her. Mary assumed any Gwen's might get that, but they were oddly rare almost as rare as other marys were.

Zenitsu jumped in surprised as he saw the flaming skeleton lady from earlier.
He was relived that she was on their side and that she was also a demon slayer. " My world could need someone like you I guess." Zenitsu replied." Muzan's demon forces are really a problem. He also turned my best friend's sister into a demon. Fortunatly,Nezuko is still good despite being a demon."He heard the nickname "Spider rider" called him. Spider crybaby?
" Yeah...I really want to change ,to help people. I thought that maybe those powers would help me achieve that. Gramps...Shinobu...Tanjiro....Nezuko...Inosuke. They all believe in me."

Spinnerette, The Grand Golden Recluse

The towering form of the latest spider to respond to the call could immediately be noticed as she exited from the portal into the main Plaza, her head held even higher as she walked with confidence like they owned the place, or at least the pathway on which she was currently walking. The Bright golden yellows of her costume likely also stood out, the long open coat swaying behind with its hood raised showing the asymmetrically designed spandex and silken costume below. Despite having the usual full-face mask, her lower face was openly revealed and folded up as she sipped a coffee while on the commute to whatever meeting this call was regarding.

Throwing the discarded cup away over the side, she finally began to scan those present across the area. With so many different spider figures present figuring out who this commander fellow was would take some deduction, though none she could see really jumped out to fit the role. She was picturing someone older than a lot of these at least, maybe with some fancier hat, though given all the costumes that wasn't exactly a given, especially with how colourful the costumed heroes tended to be. There was also the surname that could maybe narrow it down, then again that would be making assumptions, not for the fact the full-body suits didn't exactly give an indication of ethnicity, and she doubted she was going to cartoon stereotypes among those visible.

So after careful deliberation, she decided to just go for the easiest and most direct approach. Taking a deep breath she leaned back and shouted "CORTÉZZ!! EVER HEARD OF A WELCOME PARTY FOR A INVITEE?" she paused, seemingly uncaring of any reactions she got except for any that could get her were she wanted to be. If unsuccessful she signed and reached into her jacket to pull out a $100 dollar bill "100 For any Spider-Man, Woman or that technicolour rainbow in-between that gets me to where the guy in charge is, Double if you bring him here!"

  • Noé tilted his head to observe the guy that had successfully sneaked up on the pair and chimed in on their conversation, clearly new to whatever was happening here if Noé had interpreted his old-fashioned words correctly. Outlaw was relieved that he wasn't the only one disoriented by this association of heroes, but he frowned in curiosity as he took account of the stranger's costume, much more muted and practical than that of other spider-people. Like it was not for the public to take photos of him and post them in the newspaper, but to blend in.

With a spark of remembrance, Noé realized the man looked straight-up out of those boring history books, with that heavy equipment, strapped rifle and helmet. Noé hated History back when he was in high school and it was a core subject, as he simply didn't see a point in having to read about the past. The war had been over for 18 years now and it was time to move on. It was easy for him, who was one year old when WWIII concluded, to say this.

Perhaps this man came from a dimension where war was ongoing. Was his dimension going through WWIV? Or barely surviving WWI? His contemplation was interrupted and he snapped to attention when the korean girl —Lee Ji-Eun, she provided— began talking. At some point, she turned and spoke directly to him, giving him the directions to the food he so wanted just a couple of minutes ago.

However, Noé's hunger was forgotten the moment Ji-Eun pointed out that they should have a watch in their possession if they wanted to be able to travel between dimensions, even holding up her own for them to see. It was the thing he had been preoccupied about, that without said artifact he would get stuck here without possibility of returning to his home dimension if something happened. The sooner he had a watch in his hands, the sooner his spider-sense would stop hassling him.

Just as the boy opened his mouth to inquire further, a person dropped from somewhere above them and crashed to the ground, almost knocking Ji-Eun over and effectively rendering him silent. He didn't see what kind of mistake had led the person to crash like that, but he pictured someone tripping over their own feet midair like a cartoon and snorted.

"Nice one." Noé sarcastically praised whoever was inside that eccentric getup. He focused on Ji-Eun again. "I don't know about him," the boy began, nodding towards the soldier next to him, "but I sure wasn't given a funny watch like yours or I would be out of your hair already. Can you tell me where management is so I can nag them about it?"

He crossed his arms once more, his posture tense. It wasn't that he was angry or nervous or doing it consciously, he simply was perpetually on guard. There was no moment or place Noé would let himself relax, not even in the familiarity of his home.

The boy looked expectantly at the other three, waiting for someone to get things going because he disliked idling.

Prompto was still searching for Zenitsu who he lost sight of.He then heard a Spider heroine yell for someone to take her to Cortez, promising 100$ in reward. Prompto wasn't interested in money. Besides, dollars don't work back in his homeworld of Eos. He wanted to help because it was the right thing to do...but he was shy around girl.
"H....Hi...you say that you are looking for Chief Cortez..am I right? I...I...I can take you to him!"

Debra was taken aback with Zenitsu's outburst. "Oh, don't worry! I wasn't hurt by it! I noticed my particular mutation has been quite, unique to say the least." She handed out one of her hands for a shake. "Debra, or if you prefer when we're on the clock, Spiderlady. No hyphen, I hear a lot of people here have the hyphen." Another hand points towards Shang-Chi. "Like my friend over here. As far as my powers...well I don't know it seems to be pretty unique, isn't it?"

At the arrival of Spider Rider, Debra's eyes went wide. "My..." She even crawled out from behind Shang-Chi to give her a closer look. "I really like your outfit! You have that real scary scary vibe. Unlike me," She grinned wide enough for her wide mouth to gape up where the piercings weren't keeping it at bay. "I'm just fun scary!"

Zenitsu smiled for the first time since he got here. " Nice to meet you too Debra." he told the six armed Spiderlady. Zenistu shook her hand. " My sense of hearing is quite sharp, even before I bitten. But now those powers enhenced that gift. Now that I am more calm,I can hear the sounds coming from anyone here." He explained. " Every here seems benevolent. I can reaf multiple feelings just by the sounds coming from them. Many humans, ithers are not. Though here might no demon here I didn't detect any demonic sounds here." He added.
"Oh,and because of those powers,I can detect the sounds of other spider folk like us and even feelings of danger. Is that this "Spider sence" I heard Prompto talking about? He's the Spider guy that came to recruit me in my world."
