Cpl. Mike Page The Spider-Man of The Second World War!
Location: HQ, Plaza. Interactions: Archie. Archie. Nellancholy Nellancholy Gundam Watcher 27 Gundam Watcher 27 Mentions: N/A

The uniformed Spider-Man peeked at the purple-garbed guy who talked with the Asian girl. The suit's ostentatious colours belied the fact that it seemed significantly more advanced than anything Michael had encountered. In fact, his eyes, beneath the opaque lenses, traveled down to spot a uniquely designed belt. It reminded him of the pouches that they attach to their belts; the mess tins, grenades, ammo - like the bandolier of M1 Garand cartridges tightened against his chest with a safety pin, binoculars et cetera et cetera. This told Michael two things: 1. The Spider-Man next to him is from a timeline further down than he is, likely the 2020s or 2030s, and 2. It is quite clear that either he is an expert in mechanical engineering OR someone else is supplying the technological aspect to his work.

He rotated his shoulder to adjust the way his Garand rested. Michael would, surely if nothing else, like to know more about the tech. It is a pastime for him, though in reality, he'd much prefer the firearm variety of tech as opposed to the general science, but it'd be good to know regardless. He smiled at the echos of his father teaching him how to shoot his revolver as a little boy. And a tinge of sorrow as to how they separated before Mike got shipped off to the front.

Then it was the petite girl's turn to speak and Mike snapped out of his recollection. When she lifted her wrist to display a watch, or at least Mike interpreted it as such, he leaned down to better expect it, tucking a knuckle under his chin. "I see, I see." He titled back. "I owe you a few aces for this, only thing I got on me are these AM-Francs. I doubt they'd get accepted anywhere else though." She explained the significance of the wristwatch's purpose. That is or was Mike's ticket back to the front, he needed, anxiously, to get back there. The front's no picnic, but it's all he has for the moment, that and the Howlers.

When she introduced herself, Mike bowed a bit before he rattled off his name. Her name sounded strange, but Mike's exposure was limited as is, although through no fault of his own. "United States Army Corporal Michael B. Page," With a gloved hand, he dug around in his collar to pull out a nickel-coppery rectangle, rounded on the sides with a notch on the end. It reads out Michael's name, service number, O+ blood type, and personal details like his father's name, Fredrick Page, the street where he lived in New Jersey, and then ending in a C.

He tucked away the dogtag.

A premonition took him over. One that he was intimately familiar with. Spider-Sense! Immediately, Mike took several, easy steps back to allow the flailing object that careened toward them to crash. "Looks like someone got an edge. I didn't know they served booze at a snazzy place like this." He remarked with a clear shit-eating grin under his mask.

He looked to the tensed, stern posture of Aguilar. "Christ, kid, loosen up. I mean in the literal sense, I've seen corpses with rigor mortis less tense. No good for your muscles or when the enemy sees you more strung-out than a rabbit during hunting season." He empathises with his cautious nature, in fact, Mike was as on-guard as well, but he didn't let that show. He snaps his fingers, leathery gloves muffling the snapping sound. "Alright, Miss. LeeGi-eun. Can you just point us as soon as possible to the head honcho so we can get those doohickeys."

Alejandro Viego Cortéz ❜ ─ 𝘵𝘩𝘦 chief commander ─ ❛
mentions: everyone lol ; location: spider society headquarters, earth-s
tldr: broadcasts a message asking everyone in need to meet him in the auditorium, escorted by society members. future arrivals will be escorted by npcs.

After moments passed of Cortéz pacing around his office and waiting for the first set of updates, the first one finally came through, causing him to rush back over to the holographic screen to check where the portal had opened up from. Shortly after that, more portals had reportedly opened, the screen displaying notification after notification. “Zyra – it looks like some of them have arrived.” he said, reading the data displayed in front of him and interacting with the screen. He hadn’t yet heard back from Frost Spider and Splash Web after earlier sending out a message to them, so he could only hope that they were on their way. He didn’t want to leave people waiting around for too long and was aware that the new recruits would likely be lost and confused.

“We have first-time portals opening from Earth K2016-B, Earth-71147, Earth-16721A, The Pokemon World and Earth-H1M3. It seems that Earth 82756’s Spider-Rider was surprisingly responsive, and Zheng Shang-Chi along with Spiderlady, Prompto Argenum and Lee Ji-eun are present too.” Zyra reported, not commenting any further so as to not bombard the man with too much information. Slightly stressed at the thought of how chaotic the plaza must have been right about then, Cortéz closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose for a moment as he contemplated whether it’d be best to head out to address the entire group at once in the plaza or speak with the newbies first in order to prep them and explain the reasoning for them being here.

“I can’t keep people waiting.” he ended up muttering to himself, coming up with a third option entirely. First impressions were only his strong suit on Solaria 1 where strangers blindly idolised him for his fame both in civilian life and as Spiderman, but things weren’t as simple outside of his universe. He was far more reserved and less charismatic than the previous chief, and though he didn’t care much about other people’s opinions of him, what he needed right now was for people to want to fight alongside him. Granted, saving the multiverse would be the newcomers’ main motivator for agreeing to his proposal, but he still needed to do his part as commander to the best of his ability and show them his genuine devotion.

Some heroes who were at the society before the recruitment began had already heard about the situation – word spread extremely quickly at the HQ – but even so, he thought it would be best to keep everyone in the loop, and he would be able to explain everything quicker if he gathered multiple people in one place. The sooner the heroes were aware of exactly what was going on, the better. “Change of plans, Zyra. Have Frost Spider and Splash Web head to the auditorium instead,” he stated, tapping the air in front of him to close the holographic screen he had been reading from as Zyra did as he asked. “And the others?” Zyra questioned afterwards, tilting her 2D head to the side as she wondered what Alejandro had planned. In response, Cortéz approached his desk from the front and cleared his throat before pushing the button that was connected to all speakers around the headquarters which aren’t used very frequently.

“Chief Commander Alejandro Cortéz here.” he spoke into the microphone, his deep voice playing through speakers throughout the plaza and various other main areas of the headquarters. He paused for a moment before continuing to talk. “Those of you who are waiting on answers or are curious as to what's going on, I’ll be in the auditorium shortly. I’d like to ask that all newcomers are escorted by any nearby society members.” he added, hoping that the existing members of the Spider Society would be willing to show them the way. There were various directional signs on some walls, but the layout of the headquarters wasn’t exactly straightforward, with multiple paths that defied the laws of gravity to the average human. Taking his finger off the button so that he was no longer being recorded, he turned back to Zyra. “Could you relay that message to anyone else that arrives? Send Pyke and Eriksson to the plaza in twenty minutes to escort any future newcomers.”

Shang-Chi had no idea what Zenitsu was talking about, probably still in some sort of shellshock from whatever just happened to him in his own world, but surely it would pass soon. Being exposed to the multiverse in a mentally safe way was a difficult and careful process, but evidently they hardly had the time for all that right now. But if nothing else, he seemed to have a good heart. For all the differences everyone in the Society had, that was one thing they all had in common. The desire to help others, the most pure wish of them all.

And then, before too long, Cortéz's voice rang out throughout the plaza and presumably the rest of the building as well, instructing everyone to move to the auditorium.

Auditorium? We have an auditorium? Shang-Chi idly thought to himself, before blinking. Oh, right. That one. Alright.

Curling his right hand into a soft fist and lightly hitting it against his left palm, a gesture of easygoing determination, Shang-Chi looked to Zenitsu. "Well, kid? Here's your chance to show your loved ones their faith isn't misplaced. If you follow us, Boss-Man will explain the situation, but I'll be upfront. If he's calling all of us here, even the reserves -- that's you -- then that's gotta mean we're in a state of emergency. The fate of whole worlds could be riding on this, but there's no shame in running away if you're scared," he said, glancing briefly toward Debra as if his words were partially meant for her as well, before looking back to Zenitsu. "But if the pain of others is something you can't turn a blind eye to, at the end of the day, then... hop on board," he said, gesturing toward him.

And with that, Shang-Chi turned around and began to walk toward the auditorium, leading the others forward if they felt inclined to follow.

"United States Army Corporal Michael B. Page,"

Well, close enough. So that's what the sounds coming from him were. Certainly wasn't the first Captain Spider or Spider-Soldier or whatever to end up here at the Society. People in other universes sure seemed to love their super soldier programs, unlike where she came from, in which mutants tended to be seen as more of a liability than they were worth in most cases. With the quiet clinking of a chain he seemed to offer something for her view, probably a dog tag. She couldn't read it at that distance, but she decided to take his word for it.

Just then, the announcement from Chief Cortez emitted from the speakers, relieving her of this somewhat awkward duty. Or would in a few minutes, anyway. "Looks like Commander Cortez's schedule has freed up. You'll have your answers soon." And perhaps more work, frankly.

"You, watch where you're going." She pointed in the general direction of the girl that had dropped in on them. ( Gundam Watcher 27 Gundam Watcher 27 )

"Alright..." She noted the textbook still in her hand. That would make traveling swiftly around a bit harder. She couldn't swing as fast or as precisely as the more gifted among the Society's members could either...

Fine. She bent over, untying her shoes, picking them up, and lacing them back around a belt loop on her skirt. "This way." She hopped onto a pillar that served as much as transportation for the spiderfolk as much as any corridor or staircase could, her one free palm and bare feet allowing her to adhere quite readily to the surface. Momentarily, she tilted her head back towards Aguilar and Michael. "You CAN climb?"

In any event, the trip to the auditorium would probably be fairly uneventful, barring anything particularly unusual interfering.

Mary looked to her outfit which really wasn't anything special if anything she would call it magic biker as she defiantly had that vibe but she didn't have anything as think as normal bikers might need for protection. Really it shouldn't be that scary it had been what she had been wearing before coming here and she had fought crime is far less of an outfit , just her day to day clothes. The outfit was likely her flaming body, though to consider that and outfit was rather odd.

Mary chuckled " It's not an outfit " She said as she let the spirit go or pushed its power down her flesh and skin regrowing from nothing over her bones. Soon enough her face was normal her clothes unchanged showing she didn't generate any special clothes for missions and now she looked like an oddly dressed civilian rather and a hero. With her face revealed people might have a hard place putting just who she was as she wasn't a carbon copy of other versions of herself. Though most spider people knew one red head even if Mary was a bit younger and didn't match her exactly . Those that could place it would know she was a Mary Jane.

Then the announcement came and Mary didn't bother to bring forth the rider again it seemed that things were moving along that was good. " Yeah yeah lets go" Mary said following shang-chi.

Turning to the smaller boy she turns to stare at him for a few moments, before actually giving him a pet pat and sticking the note to his chest with a idle flick of her finger. "Good, Lead" the words short and to the point as she waits for him to move her in the direction of the others, idly listening in as they went SirPrompto15 SirPrompto15

Either way, she followed along, after the announcement though she suspected they would be diverted and led to the auditorium instead. Still seeing the place she could not help the eyebrow-raising behind her mask, had the man just invited every person he could find? She was under the impression this was a more personalized and selective affair but perhaps that was wrong. "I do hope he is punctual" Falling back onto one of the chairs and crossing her legs to sit, she would perhaps have checked her phone at this point but it did seem her coverage did not cover inter-dimensional service.

Mike scoffed humorously when the little feisty Asian lady asked if he, or rather, they could climb. As he cracked his hands and elbows. "Wouldn't be the real McCoy if I couldn't climb now, would I?" He leapt as soon as the words came out of his mouth. Gloved hands grasping then adhering to the pillar, while the tip of the boots bent against it. His stick powers couldn't penetrate the thickened hide of the boots, but the molded, patterned soles provided some measure of traction. "Come on, kid. Sooner we get those watches on our wrists, sooner we can scram from this jungle-house." He looked down over his shoulder at the gadget-geared Aguilar.

Normally, Mike would've passed judgement of this new Chief Commander Cortez, but being quite out of his depth in this situation, the soldier decided to reserve his thoughts to himself. Hopefully, he's the punctual sort and wouldn't keep them waiting in their own sweat. Otherwise, that's already one point down in Mike's eyes and two, it's too early from his jaunt through dimensions so he's mightily tired, Spider-Endurance or not. Funnily enough, him getting off the frontlines may be the only time he can savour a drink.

While trapesing up like an overloaded spider-monkey, the hardboiled soldier began humming a tune before harmoniously singing the lyrics with a bop of his head too: "He was a famous trumpet man from out Chicago way; He had a boogie style that no one else could play...."

He listened to what he said. " Oh,yeah...I guess he is. I hope he will be puntual." Prompto added." Well. You haven't told me your name. Or should I call you Spider girl?" He asked.

Her head tilts slightly, giving him a flat look "Seriously? Are people here that basic? Why not Spider Kid or Spider Child while they're at it" Seriously though, she always found the creature and gender naming convention uncreative. As if to emphasise her point however given she was not unaware of the presence of others, she leaned back, turning to look at any others in the room "And if any took offence to that, I apologise, those names are punishment enough".

Turning back once more she shakes her head "No, so Forgoing the various extended titles and adjectives, you can call me Spinnerette, make it past a week and then maybe Spin " SirPrompto15 SirPrompto15

"No offence! I think Spinnerette is a nice super name!" Prompto replied sheeply. "Don't get me wrong! My super name is kinda generic though, come to think of it. The awesome Spider man...something like that!" he added, going to the auditorium.

Arriving pretty late to the arrival of the recruits, a portal was opened and allowed 2 figures to enter the futuristic web of the Spider-Society. One of them was a man in a red, silver and blue mechanical suit, his Spider-Emblem on his right shoulder, granting him a web-like pauldron along with a web patterned chestplate and helmet. His spiked mask was adorned with six eyes in total, wrapping around the man’s head. Behind them was a somewhat humanoid giant robot that’s roughly 16ft tall–5 meters. That’s about the height of a single story building. Fortunately, the citadel was big enough. Its appearance was that of an egg shaped bug with talons and claws. An emblem of a Spider engraved on its chest. Its visor appears to be plated LED, segmented. Meant to open up or compress into something else. As they finally crossed through, the Chief Commander of the Spider-Society introduced himself as Alejandro Cortez, asking everyone to meet him at the Auditorium.

"So there she is.

The mother of all spiders.

Mommy Long Legs, the herald of darkness. The consumer of children. The night thief. The dead stalker. The living tragedy.

Those are but a few names ascribed to the Cave Spider, a wretched agent of chaos.

She crawls at night, stalking the locals. She leaves not a trace of herself but the blood of her prey. Worst of all... whenever she's about, babies disappear from their cradles. It's a bloody nightmare. I don't know what's to be done about it. Not even the bloody goddess can stop her. Night after night... I lay awake, wondering if she'll catch me next. I've never been so bloody scared in my life. Not since a few years ago. It all started so suddenly. Nobody knows the identity of the horrid beast. Apparently her mother was a witch. I can't imagine what in Scarlet's good name happened to make that abominable thing. The roundtable has their hands full with this one."

"Can you get to the part where you saw her?"

"Right, right. So there she is. Ten feet bloody tall. I seen her standing over a man's corpse. Eating his dismembered intestines straight out of his belly! I wanted to barf so bad but I didn't want to make any noise. It was bloody disgusting. She heard something, like a snap of a twig and ran off in that direction. Probably ate the hell out of some poor animal. I thought I was a dead man. A goner. It was like my heart stopped. I was but a stone's throw away. Hiding in a measly bush. I don't even know how I survived. I dunno if I'm cursed or what."

"Thank you for your testimony. We'll alert the roundtable of her last sighting as quickly as possible."

"Bout time. And uh... if you don't mind, can I have one of them lollipops?"

"Yes, you may have a lollipop. Please find your way back to the front so we can get you checked out."

"Thanks, miss?"

"Osborne. Norma Osborne."

"Thanks, Norma. I gotta get some sleep. It's been quite a long day."

The witness, a man around his 30's stood up from his seat and juggled some lollipop sticks around the jar with his fingers as he searched for his favorite color. He stopped on a red one and stuffed it in his pocket for later.

"I hope I helped in any way. Thanks again, Doc."

Upon the man's leave, Norma turned to her desk on which lie a written report on the eye witness account, along with several other scrolls containing medical and mental health documents neatly stored in alphabetical order.

Norma Osborne sat on a very tall stool which supported her short stature in the effort to stand level with such people as humans and elves. It had a lever which she'd pull to move it up or down, and although this mechanic could be easily explained in other universes as an electrical circuit which caused the metal pieces to slide along eachother with a system of gears and wires, such technology did not exist here. The lever operated entirely on magic, a mysterious, sometimes invisible force that is malleable and used for all sorts of purposes.

Norma was in fact a goblin, one whose skin was pale greenish and very wrinkly. She was also a doctor, inventor and psychotherapist with a passion for exploration into the vast intellectual properties of magic and its uses, to which there is no limit.

One of the many perks of wielding magic for Norma was making everyday life exponentially easier, such that she could take a short walk from her stool to a platform that could levitate in the air and carry her further than walking was possible.

Upon her patented glider, Norma could fly from her office to the headquarters of the roundtable of heroes in a few minutes. It was there that she would deliver the eyewitness report detailing the Cave Mommy sighting.

The roundtable of heroes was the gathering place of the kingdom's most esteemed and notable heroes. Norma herself, along with Rhino, Doc Oc, Vulture, Sandman, Scorpion, and their magical and charismatic leader, Mysterio.

"This abomination must be stopped!" declared Doctor Octopus of the roundtable, a version of Otto Octavius whos body was actually part octopus.

Norma nodded in agreement. "We need to send a search party to the last sighting and fan out to all parts of the Eastern region."

Mysterio, the archwizard of the roundtable, scratched where his chin would be if his head weren't a floating orb. "I approve the motion of a search party, however we must escalate this issue to a higher authority. I have already requested the presence of the scarlet goddess, she will be here shortly."

Rhino, the hothead of the group, crossed his arms in frustration. "Naturally I'd disagree with sending everyone out but we don't even know where to find the blasted devil! Her cloaking wards are a high level nuisance! I ran around the entire kingdom at least a hundred times and still haven't found the damn spider or a hideout!"

"We truly appreciate your efforts Rhino, really. It's just out of our hands now."
replied Norma. "We're going to reach out to the experts of experts on our particular problem."

After Norma spoke, an image of the goddess projected over the roundtable like a kind of hologram. Once she became visible the image seemed bright and happy, since she was forever young and appeared to be no bigger than an infant, however her years of life granted her infinite wisdom.

"Ah! Hi everybody! Aaaah it's so exciting to see you all! How's everyone doing? Are you all well?"

The team bowed in respect and greeted the mystical Scarlet, their deity, and gave their greetings.

"Ok! Awesome! So I see we're gathered to talk about the spider. Yucky, gross stuff here guys! It's like impossible to track her down which makes everyone so angry! Even though she can't use evil magic under the protection of my city barrier, she keeps slipping through the cracks which means she doesn't have to use magic to terrorize our good people! So I've decided we need to get help from another universe!"

The whole room exploded into conversation.

"What do you mean by another universe?"

"This is unprecedented!"

"What's a universe?"

"How are we going to do it?"

Scarlet listened to everyone's comments and questions, while Norma stayed quiet, waiting for the ruckus to die down.

Scarlet patiently gave the heroes freedom to discuss until they were done. She cleared her throat.

"My friends, we are living in one of many different worlds! There's an infinite number of them, in fact. Infinite means there is no end to how many universes exist in a vast array called the multiverse! I understand this may not be easy to grasp. The important thing to know is that in each of those other universes there exist different and unique versions of all of us. Yes, you heard me right. There are infinite yous out there living totally different lives than you are right here!"

Everyone listened with quiet reflection, taking Scarlet's words to heart but still struggling to come to grips with the surprising new information. She went on.

"Now back to our actual plan. I'm going to send a distress signal to one universe where many energies come together into one place. It may shock you all to hear what I'm about to say but it is very frightfully true. There is one universe where every version of the Cave Spider congregate as a central hub. It is known as the Spiderverse! They will know how to find and capture this night terror and bring her to justice."

After this speech, more commotion ensued. The group debated for hours, until, a decision was made.

"Mysterio, Dr. Octavius and Norma will project their consciousness to the spiderverse to communicate our plea for help. I cannot go myself because I will be the catalyst through which to send them on their way. The rest of you, wish us luck and please guard this room! This will be a top secret mission so nobody outside these walls can know about it!"

After everything was said and done, the plan went into motion. The three heroes sat in quiet meditation while Scarlet amplified her magic powers to reach across time and space and send their souls to the Spiderverse.

Meanwhile...

Around this time, it would have been around noon time. Mommy Long Legs would be lying in her heap of mushy guts and rot slop, scratching her pale, crusty belly. She enjoyed the spoils of her hunt from the night before, nibbling and savoring a bowl of eyeballs, meaty bones and tendons. What a life, she thought. She was the queen of her castle. If the castle were underground and smelled like a nuclear waste dump.

On days like this Mommy liked to sprawl out and cover herself in a blanket of slimy filth because it was so warm and felt like heaven all over her skin. She snorted in the disgusting aroma and sighed in contentment. Nothing could ruin this tranquil moment. Nothing except maybe a quantum rift opening up in her room and sucking her into a transient dimension to another plane of existence. This wouldn't happen yet, but very soon, and abruptly.

Mommy had long since forgotten that her name was Anya, and that she too had a mommy who cared about her. That little girl who loved adventure was replaced with a feral beast who hunted at night and hibernated like a bear. The feral beast was disturbed by a noise and rose from her pile of filth to investigate.

Anya slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes with her fingers and letting out a long and loud yawn. Sleepily she rubbed her belly and almost started to get sidetracked by the unquenchable urge to rub her skin before the noise happened again. Growling annoyedly, she rose onto her long spidery legs and put on a dirty white gown hanging nearby. She crawled into her makeshift bathroom which included just a mirror and a dirty water spigot and inspected her teeth in the mirror, grinning widely. Nice chops, girl! Is what her friends would say, if she had any. Well there was that one guy but he rarely came around and seemed kinda creepy, though hot as he was.

Looking deeply into her reflection, the spider fell in love all over again. From her eight beady eyes, mouth foam and slobbery chin, to her many scars, wrinkly blemishes and bleach pale complexion, she was absolutely stunningly beautiful. She took some mud from the wall and rubbed it on her face which in her mind was some kind of soothing cosmetic. It just felt so nice to roll around in filth.

She got sidetracked again in the mirror until the noise happened again and she wandered in the direction it came from. The noise sounded like a raspy groaning or gasping, coming from the food storage room. It had to be one of the living samples making a ruckus again. She thought she told them to be quiet! As if beating someone over the head with a sack full of bones weren't enough, for crying out loud.

Then it would happen, as she crawled towards the room full of web-sac-wrapped-victims, that she would fall through a previously mentioned rift and be completely taken by surprise! This was such a random turn of events! Anya would soon find herself face down in the mud in a trench and when she picked herself up she seemed to be in a land that was perpetually at war. She could hear the prattling of machine guns and the booming explosives going off in the distance. What a stressful situation!

Quickly the Cave Mommy did what made sense and used magic to cloak her presence until she could find a good place to hide and get her bearings. All of the loud noises and flashing explosions that filled her senses were so overwhelming she almost lost her sense of direction. Once she was safely hunkered in a hole deep enough to hide in, she started digging with her spider legs to make a temporary habitat to sleep in.

The cause of the sudden dimensional rift that sent Anya to another universe was, incidentally, the rift that Scarlet had opened to the Spiderverse when she sent her agents over to speak with the leader of the spider people. What a tangled web we weave....

It's been a few months since the incident that led to the destruction of the entertaiment district.
A few govement agents were investigating the area, trying to figure out how it happened.
It was nighttime. Like most of the people around the country, they didn't believe in demons.
Their guard was down.
It would be a great mistake.

Noises were heard. The agents first thought it was a dog or something. The noise was more loud as it came closer to the soldiers.
A large scorpion tail came out from the shadows, stabbing one of the agents and dragging him to the shadows.
The second agent was horrified. He brought out his gun and looked around.
"I envy you,you know..." a sickly rapsy voice said.
The man looked around, only to come face to face with a strange plale young man, with only skin over his bones and dirty green hair. He had marks over his nose, yellow eyes and a sharp toothed grin. The part of him that could show that he wadn't human anymore was the strange armorlike shell pieces over his shoulders, arms, legs and feet as well as the large green scorpion tail.

" Please...spare me..." the agent plead " I have a wife and two children.."
"Oh...you have a familly too?!" The strange scorpion demon said, before laughing like a madman.
" I had nothing of that...the only thing I had left...my little sister...was taken away from me...." the demon hissed. " Sure I survived and Lord Muzan gave me another chance and more of his blood, giving new powers...but... I can't forgive them...those demon slayers, and that Spider powered blond one too!"
He glared toward the agent. " You...the fact that you have a better life...THAT'S UNFORGIVABLE!!!"
The demon,Upper Moon Six Gyutaro, now known as "Gyutaro the Scorpion" Was about to attack the agent when some weird energy surounded him.
He vanished.
----
Mommy's long legs's cave

Gyutaro looked at his suroundings.
"That's weird...I don't remember this cave.." the demon said to himself, scratching himself.
He went outside. "Well, what do you know...Lord Muzan...did you send me somewhere else?" Gyutaro said, grinning.
Little did he know that neither Muzan or Nakime were responsible for him being in another world.
"Once nightime comes,I'm gonna have some fun..."

Noé Aguilar

filler

  • Noé huffed at Michael's words but his shoulders did somewhat sag when the booming voice originating from the speakers reassured every newbie that they would get the answers they wanted. The people around him began moving in the same direction, which he assumed was the path towards the auditorium, some walking, some riding horses —he wasn't about to dwell into that— or various vehicles and the rest using their webs.

He uncrossed his arms and trailed behind the other two, raising his eyebrows when Ji-Eun removed her shoes and hopped into the pillar. Noé felt it was a bit of a lackluster system and he could definitely design something better for her to wear, a couple of possibilities already forming in the back of his mind. He also watched Michael's actions closely, intrigued by the effective performance of his costume when it appeared to be fairly simple. However he was brought back to focus when the soldier directed his attention to him. Noé reprimanded himself for diving too much into his thoughts, there would be enough time to be a nerd later.

The young man nodded to himself, took a few steps back and jumped, silently placing himself in the pillar with a swift maneuver and enjoying the fact that the boots incorporated in his suit were so helpful at times like this, outsoles ideal for climbing. He was, dare he say, proud of his craft. Which is why, as he advanced by adhering his fingers to the wall in a repeated motion and listened to Michael sing some perfectly respectable but boring melody, Noé's mood brightened faintly.

He would give this Spider-society the benefit of the doubt, for now.

With that being said, Noé was an all about business kind of person and a couple of minutes later of climbing in which he saw various people swing and flash by like a lightning bolt while the three of them were still going at a turtle pace in comparison, he decided this was taking too long for his liking. If they had chosen to swing, they would already be there, he mentally groaned as the impatience seeped into his thoughts.

Noé increased the speed of his climbing, surpassing both Ji-Eun and Michael, as they hadn't really been expecting him to do that, and turned around to stare at them. With a tone that made it clear it was a not-so subtle prompting, Noé spoke. "Okay, this is nice and all, but I'm sure you guys can go faster than that."

He paused and added good-naturedly. "How about this, I'll buy you some of the finest food in my dimension if we can make it to the auditorium in less than a minute."

Alejandro Viego Cortéz ❜ ─ 𝘵𝘩𝘦 chief commander ─ ❛
mentions: nobody ; location: spider society hq storage room --> auditorium
tldr: stops by the storage room for some multidimensional wrist devices and takes some crates to the auditorium, waiting at the podium for more people to arrive while deep in thought.

As Alejandro left his office, the weight of the impending crisis weighed heavily on his mind which was reflected through the natural frown that rested on his face. Years prior, he never would’ve imagined himself in such a situation. Believe it or not, he was happy once upon a time. Before his life took a turn for the worst he had a loving partner and a young daughter, and both of them meant the world to him. He missed those days greatly, but he avoided talking about his late family and what happened to them for the sake of his sanity. It was before he had experienced real loss and before he even knew that the Spider Society existed. Now everyone he held dear to him had perished, Cortéz was a shell of the man he once was, and to top it off, now the world was ending.

There was a time right after he lost his family when he let the depression and regret he felt take over his entire life. He became a hermit, only getting out of bed when more alcohol was delivered to his doorstep. Committing to being his world’s Spiderman was the last thing he wanted to do back then, but that one story on the news about the missing girl forced him to stop feeling sorry for himself if it meant saving someone else’s child. That was years ago, before he had joined the Spider Society, and now he had become their Commander. Even though his happiness still hadn’t returned, Alejandro was no longer a quitter. If the multiverse risked coming to an end, he was either going to put a stop to the crisis with the help of his people or die while trying.

As he walked with hasty strides, Alejandro activated his communication device, effectively ‘texting’ three Spiderheroes who were stationed nearby and asking them to meet him at the storage room asap which was on the way to the auditorium. Receiving their prompt confirmation almost immediately after sending out the messages, Alejandro picked up his pace, eager to gather some necessary supplies for the heroes that he was hoping would agree to join them. When he arrived at the storage room and scanned his handprint, its sealed doors slid open to reveal a vast array of equipment from various types of inventions and weaponry to souvenirs from previous missions and retired spidersuits.

The multidimensional devices, which were the sole thing he had stopped to collect, were there too. To his surprise, the Spiderheroes he had contacted on his way had already entered the storage room as they stood with sealed crates of the watch-like devices in their arms — it appeared they had guessed what his request would be ahead of time and were already one step ahead. In that moment, his usual frown actually seemed to soften. “Great work.” he said to them sincerely, nodding in praise at their quick-thinking willingness to help. With that, he stepped forward and effortlessly grabbed one of the larger crates himself.

The Auditorium

Upon arriving at the auditorium, Alejandro placed the box on a nearby table as did the heroes who had been accompanying him from the storage room. “Thank you.” he said to the three, nodding once more in gratitude. “You’re free to go, if you will, but if you need a refresher feel free to hang around.” he added, knowing that they were among the heroes that were already caught up on what was going on.

The auditorium was spacious and a futuristic shade of polished white, with rows of comfortable seats facing an open area at the front that was home to a podium with a microphone. Screens were positioned strategically around the upper walls of the room, ready to display any necessary information, but for this, there had been no time to make a presentation. Not everyone had arrived yet, but still, Alejandro made his way to the front and folded his muscular arms, trying to collect his thoughts in relation to the speech he would be giving soon. Soon enough, the man was deep in thought.

Culture shock was an understatment. This place...this universe. It continued to intimidate Zenitsu. It would be worse for Tanjiro and even Inosuke if they were here with him. Zenitsu imagined that the wild boar head masked demon slayer would want to trash the place down. It's a good thing he wasn't here.
He stared at the large stage and the large screens. He heard about a device known as a television from Prompto that you could use to watch images with sounds. Zenitsu recalled the radios and moving pictures back in his world, but television didn't exist. He wondered if it will be invented in his world. He sat down, waiting for the leader of this strange place to show up and explain everything.

"I won't hold you to that offer." Ji-eun nodded at Aguilar. "But I don't disagree if you'd like to speed things up a bit. Mr. Page, I trust this won't be a problem?" So it was time to swing again. It's not like she...hated that she had the capability to do so, per se. But given her...limitations it was a course of action that was clumsy (if swift) at best, and leading to embarrassing pratfalls at the worst. Still, she WAS among Spider-People who probably had to go through a bit of trial, error, and slamming face first into walls as well.

Fine. She'd humor Aguilar's impatience.

She rolled up the sleeves of her cardigan, a sensation like a gust of cold air washing over her as the hairs on the back of her arms stood, giving her skin a prickly texture. The sensitive hairs would allow her substantially more precision in her movements as they detected every motion and change in the air around her. Folding up the hem of her shirt an inch, she exposed her tiny spinneret as well.

She put her ear to the watch she was wearing, making sure the navigation system was on. Looking back up, she pointed up and ahead, at least relative to her current position. "The auditorium's that way. Remember, I still have to lead you."

With that, Ji-eun allowed herself to tip forward slightly before "falling" off the pillar. Unlike the spiderfolk who could apparently shoot webs from their wrists and had the tingle to tell them how to get around, Ji-eun had to put more effort into orienting herself for each swing, taking wider arcs each time.

Bending forward as she fell, she aimed her back "forward". And with a thwip, a line of webbing shot forth, tensing and giving her forward momentum the moment it struck another pillar.

And just like that, she was off, curling and somersaulting like some kind of airborne pillbug every time she wanted to change direction.

The trip to the auditorium that would have taken more than 10 minutes by climbing, probably got cut down to less than half that by their swinging.

For Debra, stepping into the auditorium was like stepping into her past. Before the spider before...everything. The perfectness of it all caused a little shiver to crawl down her spine as her lower left hand instinctively clutched unto Shang-Chi's hand before awkwardly letting go. "Sorry..."

The cold sterile white walls felt almost suffocating much like it felt back when she was getting her degree in bio-engineering. She felt the lump in her chest growing as she scanned for a seat. Taking a deep breath she looked over to Shang-Chi and whoever else was tagging along with them. "S-should we go to the front and show that we're attentive and following along? Or are we the cool kids in the back acting like we're not listening but secretly we are because we're looking for validation from our teachers and our peers...or do we split the middle and go to the...middle?"

" One of them at least " Mary said with a shrug well aware there were countless Mary Jane's out there in the multiverse. Though they were not often selected by the force behind the spider people. It was a bit odd,but who was she to question the spider gods.

As they walked Mary decided to call the rider again. Flames enveloped her and burned from them inside out. Her flesh blackened and turned to ash as nothing but bone and fire remained. It didn't hurt, it never had, the feeling was closer to a powerful short high as the spirit flooded at the weakened bindings. Yet never did the change get addicting as with it came an anger. The anger of anyone e er wronged and those that desired to make those right.

As they reached the auditorium Mary pulled out a cigarette that didn't burn despite being held in hands of flame, that was till she wanted the end to ignite and release a puff of smoke. Mary got no benefits from a smoke, but also no draw backs, but she still found herself doing it. She had smoked a bit for the longest time. Gwen had always said she should quit but Mary put it off and now what was the point in quitting.

As Debra asked where they should stand and the crybaby who at least had some bra ery and spine in him even if it didn't show was hit with vulture shock,Mary just wanted to get yo the point. There was no way they would call the spider people with the totem wasn't in danager. That force that selected them as spiders snd had been mephisto's target with their deal.

" I can give you the cliff notes there is some big scary thingy out there threatening the totem and that going down fucks with everything " Mary said taking a deep drag in her cigarette and letting out plenty of smoke. It was a guess but really what else required this many of them? Some big nasty came up and likely had some minions that was gunning for them.

one second ago, Alex was swinging through California, he was in the middle of tracking down a robber he saw stealing from a small shop.
He jumped from a building, preparing to tackle the man.
And now, he's falling, some strange portal opened through in the darkness like it tore a hole through the air. The sound of a yell is heard from Alex, “woah, woah!” in a swift motion, Alex manages to flip himself in the air, a strange looking goop begins covering his body. A loud bang can be heard as shiver slams his sharp claws into what to Alex looks like concrete walk ways, strangely placed in this place that seems almost infinite in size.
Shiver climbs up, noticing that they are not alone, not even a bit. So many people there wearing strange colorful costumes, some of them resemble shiver, the eyes at least look like him. “What the hell” Alex says to himself, he jumps off of the walk way sticking himself to another one before beginning to run around the place looking for a way back home.
The two were mad, they were on their way to take down a damn petty thief. Maybe that would've pushed their image a bit higher, so people don't hate them, but no, now everyone's going to think that the new vigilante has decided to ignore crime. That damn bastard Jameson is going to tell everyone that the so-called night crawler is working with the criminals.
What is this damn place” shiver yells, his voice gurgling and distorting. “Who are you people

Michael's gloved hands carried him up that pillar in a steadied, relaxed pace. Steady, but not slow. He purposefully matched his pace to Ji-eun, only because she was the one with the layout of this place on her wrist. But the uniformed man was already memorising the blueprint as it were. He looked around at points, taking in the colorful sights and advanced machinery. For all the advanced suits of technological prowess, there were knights of yore gallivanting about on horses or cowboys with their six-shooters on their hips, fantastic; to Mike, they seemed too ridiculous on the surface. Mike wasn't a cynic, but after what he's been through these past few years, he's preferring the muted tights lately.

The rucksack dangled on his back left to right, left to right in sync with his shoulders. All of his equipment—from rifle to the cartridges proved reminders of the things that awaited him back home. He's appreciating the scenery, but knows that it isn't his place to remain.

He looked down with Aguilar spoke. Mike didn't him this, but that suit proved to be quite the marvel. Simple. Sleek. Effective. And kitted out with various tools, each one for the right job as they say. A younger Mike would say that he's a tad envious, but the older he got, the less he spared time for those types of feelings. Mike had a toothy-grin on his face when he heard that Aguilar wanted to speed things along. Well, he did say the sooner they went to the auditorium, the sooner they'd get the wrist watches.

"No problem, Miss." Mike nodded once to Ji-eun's proposal, carefully omitting her name until he figures how to properly say it. Although giving more thought to Aguilar's impatience, Mike found the wager practically absurd. Less than a minute? The size of this place? Right, and pigs fly with feathered wings.

His hands and arms affixed themselves to the pillar. He pulled back then launched himself like a human slingshot. He shot passed another Spider-Man was crawling on the pillar then kicked himself off off the sleek cylinder.

The spinnerets weaved, pressurized, then shot a strand of dimly gray webbing. A quick thwip and Michael swung for the first time since he got here. His outfit was a shield against the air, but the breeze snaked in through the cuffs on his jacket. It tickled the skin, the wind dancing across like tiny knife edges pressed lightly on his forearms.

On his next thread, he spun upside down and clamped the soles of his boots on the thread. He surveyed the land with a practiced rhythm to it. Europe's wartorn buildings weren't capable of swinging like this, but he did something similar back in New Jersey.

As he twisted his body back into an upright position, he swatted his hand out of the way of a fast approaching... Spider-squirrel? "Sorry, little fella!" Everyone is Spider-Man these days. He cracked that observation to himself.

He focused on Ji-eun's swinging form, she was still leading them to their place. He noted the lack of awkwardness, or no... Increased effort to her swinging. Either she's new or lacking in certain finesses, whatever the case, Mike couldn't exactly tell which was which.

In a matter of minutes, they've arrived at the auditorium. Mike dived like a swan with its wings unfolded before initiating a somersault with his legs. A hand shot out then thread followed. It attached and slowed Mike's descent by resisting, allowing him to land silently on his feet. The taut webline sprang back as soon as Mike let go.

"The auditorium, I presume." Mike addressed Ji-eun while looking about the atrium. It wasn't a serious inquiry as his tone suggested.

While there, he spotted that glowing skull. Smoking a cigarette. Close enough that the metallic taste in his mouth, which was barely a sensation moments ago, now came back in full-force. Spectacular.

"Maybe we should stay in the middle." Zenitsu replied to Debra. "I rather not sit on thr front. This place is too overwellming for me." He added.
He had jumped in surprised as "Mary Jane" changed back into her flaming skeleton form.
He brought out a small plush doll of the likeness of his beloved,Nezuko Kamado. The pleasant smell of whisteria flowers could be smelled from the plush. Zenitsu used the webbing fluid from his bracelets to stitch it together."Nezuko Chan..." he whispered, cradling the doll.

Prompto landed in front of the top row of seats in the auditorium.
He handled the web singling pretty well. He waited for Spinerette to show up. Prompto was shy around girls, even female Spider girls/women from other worlds.
The young man looked behind him,to make sure Spinerette followed him. Though he thought that even if she lost him she had Spidey sence right? In the meantime,Prompto sat down on the first seat of the first row of the top. He still wondered if Zenitsu made it.
"Nah,he'll problebly already here too. Prompto saw him in action during his brief stay on Earth K2016-B. He could handle himself.

Shang-Chi could only smile in amusement at Debra's words under his mask, though it was Zenitsu who spoke before he could think to respond. Shrugging noncommittally, the young man nodded. "Yeah, sure, we can go for the middle. That'd make for a good compromise, right?"

Gesturing toward Debra and whoever else felt inclined to follow, Shang-Chi made his way down a row of his own choosing before settling down in a seat he haphazardly chose. With all the other Spider-People gradually coming in one after another, there wasn't much else to do here but wait for everyone to get situated now, and then the boss man could get started.

As he waited, he idly fidgeted with the uppermost ring that wrapped around his left wrist, the first of five rings that curled around the rest of his arm. That was fitting, wasn't it? Ancient superstitions dictated that salvation lied within one's right hand, and destruction in the left. As much as he might have looked like a mother duck guiding around some of the lesser experienced prospective heroes here, Shang-Chi still found himself wondering if he truly belonged here. These hands that wanted to protect, created and molded by hands that could only destroy. Hands that could never hold anything. But for now, maybe it was enough. Maybe the ability to destroy was what the Society needed right now, if they were being pulled into such a state of emergency.

All these years later, and I'm still thinking about stuff like that, huh? I guess I never really learn, he thought to himself wistfully. If only his sister were here to tell him to just shut up and get over himself.
