Graded [Sootspire Village] (Caelia Barony) – A Camping Trip and the Magic Tower?

Siegfried made an interesting statement to Teuihua, the water was related to the tower? Was it possible that the tower was actually beneath the water or whatever this being was, was actually related too it? It was interesting food for thought, but before Teuihua had much more time to grapple with that bit he was back in the present with the drama unfolding wanting to prevent Siegfried from drowning. But then there was also Lowrence and now Gunhild to contend with who he had been trying to prevent from getting caught in the same trap.

Teuihua did understand what Regula was saying however realizing he needed to help buy her time and prevent the pond from drowning his friends and allies. He felt a bit relieved with siegfried attempting to grab his hand to which he wanted to pull him out, but then there were the other tendrils to deal with, hopefully Teuihua’s [Wall] like stature would make it harder for them to feasibly reach Regula.

Presuming that Gunhild’s size change functioned as intended and she was able to reach for Siegfried with her new found advantage, Teuihua was unfortunately being blocked by the tendrils so he felt he needed to act too using brute force if necessary, with the rapid development and his [Fear Resistance] as well as Superstrength D Teuihua attempted to slam through the watery tendrils with Superstrength D and attempt to reach Lowrence and pull him out if possible after if he was in range, otherwise he was going to continue to try to prevent the water from reaching Regula if it wasn’t possible.

Actions: 1. Fear Resistance + Superstrength D slam those tendrils blocking him to try to reach out for Lowrence to help. - D2 post cooldown
2. If make connection with Lowrence try to pull out of water, since Gunheld trying to help Siegfried.
3. Regardless if other actions successful leverage [Wall] to try to stop water from reaching Regula.
 
Sad Soggy Siegfried
  • At this point, Siegfried was already particularly unaware of the panicking up above the waters. After failing to break the surface, against his wishes, his body became tired and limp. The constant need of sleep—as the moon rises and the thousands of stars make themselves seen, Siegfried's body would become drowsy. He found it rather inconvenient, as he would spend eight hours doing nothing productive. Little did Siegfried know, his constant fasting and diet of figs was likely the problem.

    He who once wasn't of man would feel as the cool water pulled his cumbersome body deeper and deeper down into the depths. As he once was, the one would never have felt such a feeling. What even was it? Siegfried would not know. He was never meant to think of, let alone feel, these cumbersome feelings.

    He saw things, it was good things he presumed. People were doing a thing he did not understand in fields of green and gold. They worked with things that did not particularly look like people, however the things that weren't people certainly moved much like them. There were also the things like Sir Teuihua, the moving boulders.

    They talked in a language that he did not know, talking about things he'd find nonsensical likely. Like the weather or their harvest. If Siegfried were to think, he would think that he was seeing the memories of the waters and that these waters were probably very very old. Just like Teuihua. Just like Ringo.

    He saw the vague image of what pulled him down, he'd perhaps try waving to it, but the weight of the water and the lethargy of his body forbade it. Bubbles left his mouth as he attempted to speak, saying "Why do you bring me here? Why do you show me these things?" although they were just a gurgling mess of noise.

    This was okay, he was born from frozen tears that melted from a warm dream. Perhaps this was how he returned. When he reached the bottom of the pond, would it not wash away all these unnecessary thoughts and feelings, the beating heart and the breathing lungs, the weight and the five wits?

    After all, Siegfried was not a mortal creature. As such, he did not long to live. He did not long to be remembered; immortalised fondly in memories... Or did he? At this point, it didn't matter, he simply needed to wait and see what the narrator fates have in store for him.

As Gunhild grew larger, she had a considerably easier time standing against the water. If anything, she'd have to worry about not accidentally slapping Regula and their camp out of existence with her tail even though it's how she would've wanted to go. Even so, the water wasn't going to be letting go of its new prey easily. As Gunhild brute-forced her way through the tentacles, they reformed and started wrapping further and further around her, growing in size to match hers.

Teuihua was able to block the tentacles from reaching Regula. Although his efforts were valiant, he struggled. Just like with Gunhild, the more he struggled, the bigger the water tentacles grew, which also started to wrap around him by now.

Siegfried, sadly enough, had not gained his answer. Instead, he was gaining the sense that everything was becoming more and more peaceful. More and more silent...

... and the Regula cast some magic.

A [Pocket Dimension B] opened up, swallowing up Lowrence, Teuihua, even Gianthild, as well as Siegfried, selectively picking them out of the water in what was likely a highly disorienting experience. The Pocket Dimension closed around them, only to reopen only moments after, unceremoniously dropping them besides the lake in a manner at which Lowrence and Siegfried might have to scamper not to get crushed by Gianthild or Teuihua.

Short after a wave of [Healing B] washed over them, stemming from the magic on Regula's cloak. It was likely enough to force the water of Siegfried's lungs... Or to at least allow his body to start attempting to do so.

“I'm sorry... is... are you all alright?” Regula asked, seeing the results weren't as graceful and well-executed as intended. However, she noticed one thing had worked out. “I knew I picked up on something at the bottom of the lake with the Tremorsense on my boots!” She pointed at an odd shaped crystal laying a bit a way from them. “That must've been what caused this!”

She was rather relieved that all her friends seemed to be alive and that she'd obtained the cause of this all, even though the manner in which she'd achieved this was... dubious at best.

“Madam barones... someone... could you please tell me which way is up again?” Lowrence asked, having ended up hanging upside-down from a tree and looking perhaps the most disoriented of the group of them.

Regula skill used;

Unfortunately Teuihua wasn’t winning this fight at the moment. Of course he had the option to turn on his electric aura and see if that’d harm the water being enough, which he might do if it was just him but he knew very well his companions who were being taken by it probably wouldn’t fare as well if he electrified the whole thing, as even if he didn’t know scientifically the process as to why water conducts electricity, he did know that it did amplify it.

Thankfully Teuihua was able to block much of the watery tentacles to help buy time for Regula, which was a minimum objective to be meeting at this point. He was feeling unfortunately ineffective..Teuihua was sure if his full power had returned he’d be more than ready for whatever this was..but even his best at the moment didn’t appear to be enough. He was struggling to save his allies, and now with the tentacles wrapping around him he was struggling with the other task.

Regardless of the struggle he’d try to push forward to the best of his ability.

Thankfully before they knew it they were being caught up in Regula’s pocket dimension, which Teuihua remembered the feeling well enough from earlier, with it being so sudden he hadn’t been expecting it, thankfully they were plopped down away from the water, all of those who he had been trying to save, it looked like he had managed to hold the water off long enough for her to do it.


Teuihua looked around through his 360 degree vision to make sure everyone was okay before looking back at the pond taking on a guarded stance.

“Thank you, I am very grateful for your assistance Lady Caelia...I apologize I’m supposed to be the one protecting you, and I apologize that I was unable to do more there in keeping everyone safe..I just simply have not been at my full power since waking up, it took all I had to keep the water at bay as much as I did.”

Teuihua said sounding apologetic enough visibly turning his head to look to Siegfried, Gunhild, and Lowrence. At least he had helped to keep Regula safe. When she mentioned that the crystal had been causing it, presuming no one else needed his immediate aid he looked over to it and approached cautiously, since for the time being it didn’t seem whatever was in that water was pursuing them over where they were now. Teuihua looked guarded, keeping attention on the strange crystal.

Actions:
1. Teuihua looks around to make sure there is no more immediate threats and makes sure everyone is okay.

After being abruptly teleported out of the water, Gunhild growled lowly in frustration as she swung her gaze around looking as if she was still seeking the foe that she was just conflicting with only to see that it would appear such troubles were over. Grumbling quietly as her moment of aggression came to a close, she looked to the rather unfortunate Lowrence who had been so suddenly pulled into the situation and reaching to simply pluck him out of the tree he was in to put him back on his feet at ground level.

In which after doing so, Gunhild would release her size change in order to return back into a more reasonable size atleast for her own standard in order to shake off the fact that her floof had been soaked in water throughout the time. If anything it was probably a valid excuse that Gunhild's floof ended up getting clean rather than likely rolled around in dirt. Finishing shaking off her drenched self and looking to Siegfried, she gently poked at his face a little to investigate if he was still alive.

"Silly Sink-Fries man not sleeps now, not sleep time. Gunhild would know. Smols not sleeps on ground, that's Gunhild do. Sink-Fries is not Gunhild" Gunhild answered as she heard Metalmans giving his apologies for not being able to help protect everyone or as well as he would've wanted to. Gunhild didn't know much about Metalmans, but Metalmans had more hearts and souls than many a smol could ever have. Metalmans was clearly more reals than some real peoples. Sadly amongst all of it, the bread loaf Regula had gave her did not survive becoming disappointedly soggy and overly dirty on the ground, of which Gunhild was clearly very upset by. Nevertheless, she wandered her way over to Teuihua.

"Is ok, Metalmans. Not all of the one can does an all do, Metalmans is still all times favourite rock" Gunhild answered as she would lower her head and brush it against his hand in honest trust and loyalty, laying on the ground and essentially trying to nudge the top of her head and her face into the palm of his hand in suggestive offer that even if he wasn't a smol and was a construct, she would still be allowing and happy if Teuihua ever wanted to pet her, since at this point the Metalmans had pretty easily gotten a Gunhild seal of approval.

Noticing the dumb, stupid, dumb rock that Teuihua had addressed his attention to that Regula had seemingly pulled out of the water also, Gunhild was beginning to question why now a literal just-a-rock was alive at all. If this truly was the reason the water attacked them, she would rather see the rock broken or eaten (at least she would want to try).
"Bad, stinky rock is bad, yes? Gunhild eat bad rock? Not a good rock, is bad, bad rocks are bad, only good rocks" Gunhild asked, wanting to rid them of the stinky rock. Not a fancy crystal. It's a dumb bad rock. It didn't seem like it would have any relation to the funny magic tower they were supposed to be looking for, so it wouldn't matter if they lost or got rid of it.

“Oh, please, don't worry. We all got out, didn't we? You did well.” She was quick to reply to Teuihua, already glad he'd been able to buy her enough time to focus. “I'm sure your full power will return to you before long.” She tried to encourage him a bit as well.

As Teuihua approached the strange crystal, it would start to seem a bit more familiar... as it had been used as an energy source in his past civilisation. This one, however, seemed to be rather unstable, which had likely caused it to go haywire whilst it'd been stuck in the pond. It looked like it might cause trouble all over again... but perhaps only if it'd be in contact with water again? That's what his perception ( C ) and some basic deduction taught him. However, he'd also remember another thing. Crystal like these often came in sets of three. If there was one crystal here, it might be possible for the other two to still be around here somewhere as well.

“Thank you kindly ma'am.” Lowrence would thank Gunhild, upon being reoriented to standing straight and upon firm soil. He still stood on somewhat shaky legs. “That certainly was a rather peculiar experience...” He added.

“No, that'd be a bad idea.” Regula stated, upon hearing Gunhild's intention to eat the rock. “We don't know what it might do. What if it'd blow up inside your stomach? Or control the fluids inside your body?” She stated some of the scary things that might happen, should this crystal's magic still work inside Gunhild. Sadly enough, she didn't really know what else to do with it either.

Also sadly enough... Siegfired hadn't really given a sign of life yet. A bit concerned, she'd walk over. If the healing B on her cloak wasn't working, what else could she do? “Does anyone know what to do?” She asked, a bit concerned, as she leaned over Siegfried, trying to come up with a plan. She debated using [Pocket Dimension] to gather all the water from him, but what if that'd also take his blood? That'd be too big a risk.
 
Sad Soggy Siegfried
  • The silence was kind. The cold was nostalgic. What if unicorns did feel things and think of things, enjoying things and crying and had regrets and liked to eat for fun and pretend they could talk to the bugs and animals they nurtured; what if it was instead the circumstances of that once-lived life that made Siegfried the way he was? It likely didn't take long for a soul to freeze and become numbed to nought when in constant and eternal snowfall.

    This peaceful silence brought him back to that day so long long ago and before here. Those frozen tears melted because of the dreams that burned blindingly on that one antique matchstick that was held desperately by limp and unmoving and frostbit fingertips.

    To any ordinary person, it would not occur to them how tears, a burnt-out matchstick and frozen fingertips would give birth to a miraculous unicorn—well, a broken unicorn—but those same people do not believe a person when they speak of the creatures beneath their beds, or the eyes peering through the ajar closet door; because those people are usually children.

    After experiencing life as a mortal creature, Siegfried concluded that he much preferred when he was numbed to nought and when all he noticed was the white encompassing his vision and the intricately imperfect frozen fractals of falling snowflakes. When exposed to warmth for the first time, did that frozen soul melt into a brilliant spring of pure waters? Well, no since—

    Sound slowly reached Siegfried as he regained consciousness, and he was greet by the sensation of a slighted Gunhild poking his cheek.

    He sat upright, smiled at Gunhild and was about to reply but would hunch over and hold his stomach as his body forced him to hack, cough and cough up the unnecessary amount of water that he had so foolishly breathed in whilst attempting to "think" underwater. After which, he'd bear an uncharacteristically displeased expression.

    "That was not pleasant. Why is it that mermaids and nymphs can speak beneath the waters' surface but I cannot? Why is it so hard to breathe in it?" His eye still stung a bit and he was utterly drenched. His expression softened, "Although the silence and cold was not unlovely and being pulled into the dark depths without thought felt rather nostalgic. Who knew dying could feel so good." Siegfried stated with a refreshing grin of someone returning from vacation rather than someone who almost just died.

    The gallant stood up, futilely attempting to brush off the wetness of his shirt. "It is rather inconvenient to be saved. Now I have to wait for my clothes to dry," Siegfried said, he was rather unhappy with how wet fabric clung to one's skin. He moved over to [22T] and faced Regula with a smile, "Mortals... People are immensely grateful toward those who save their lives and thus I should say you have my gratitude," His eyes wandered to the crystal, "yet, you already have my utmost gratitude, Madame Baroness." Siegfried would say as he looked up to Teuihua.

    "Sir Teuihua," He'd address, "I may have seen a vision of your time long passed. I saw humans—I think—and people who look like you," Siegfried said whilst gesturing to Teuihua, "and smaller people like you talking a language I did not understand and working in fields of zea mays." He'd explain before tilting his head, "Is this familiar to you? I presumed the water sprite showed these perceptions to me." The gallant said before looking to the crystal, "And, do you know what that is?" He'd ask.

Unfortunately Teuihua didn't really have any way to assist Siegfried in his downed state, he assumed he had just lost consciousness rather than perished, which was why when he looked over he had opted to look at the crystal to make sure it wasn't going to do more harm.

"Thank you Lady Caelia and Gunhild..I will continue to try my best." Given the gesture that Gunhild had made, Teuihua would gently reach out with his more dexterous hand and gently pet her, the comfortable warmth still radiating through the hand, as Teuihua was in thought.

Teuihua at least felt a bit better that Regula was reassuring him that he had done well and that no one had died, but even if he felt a bit better there, there was still a nagging feeling in the back of his mind that there just had to be something he could have done better had he thought of it, even if that probably wasn't really true in this case, particularly with his skillset not as strong as it should be at the moment.

He got a bit more concerned when Regula suggested that Siegfried still wasn't showing signs of life, and he was relieved when Regula shut down the idea of Gunhild eating the crystal.

"I agree with Lady Caelia, there are too many unknown elements to try eating it Gunhild."

He was really relieved when Siegfried regained consciousness. "Sir Siegfried, as I have said to the others, I apologize I was unable to retrieve you as hard as I tried, even if you sound unsure that are pleased to still be with us, I can assure you we are happy that you are still with us." He decided to reassure Siegfried. As for his more general questions about why he couldn't talk or breathe under water he wasn't entirely sure about them except for the one regarding the crystal Teuihua realized.

The construct was more than a bit surprised when he realized what the crystal was in actuality.

He turned his head to Siegfried. "is that so..could it be a vision from long ago in my civilization? " Teuihua posed with great interest. "Is someone.. from there trying to tell you something perhaps? What you describe is what I am familiar with in various parts of the Mictlantecuhtlian Empire during its height.." Teuihua was almost a bit excited.

Teuihua then promptly used his more dexterous hand to pick the crystal up cautiously and gently, before turning to Siegfried once again, holding it at a level where he could better see it.

"As far as my knowledge goes this is a crystal which was used as an energy source to power all sorts of more energy intensive things..magical and through more traditional ingenuity. Normally it works as a great energy storage to tap into, however this one appears to be flawed, which might explain why it was interacting erratically with water in the way it was. But I am uncertain for sure..What else is notable about this crystal is that they are usually utilized in groups of three..so if there is one here, there may be others nearby."

"If this has anything to do with our tower search I am..uncertain but this development is most interesting is it not Lady Caelia?" He asked turning to her for an opinion perhaps.

Gunhild was at least relieved to see that both Lowrence and Siegfried were alright and fine after the little incident, simply enjoying the momentary brief joy from receiving pets from Teuihua to give proper attention and focus on what was at hand, grumbling monstrous deep purrs softly until it had eventually come to an end as she looked to the bad rock she wasn't allowed to eat. Grumbling and moping about being denied eating privileges, she just boredly laid and poked at the ground before speaking.

"Silly dumb rock move waters and show Metalmans' back-time place, maybes magic tall-house is a moves by silly moves rock too. Maybes silly tower in back-time place is wheres moves. Maybes peoples has yell and angy at things to get rocks angy. Maybes smols musts get trees and floors and floofy clouds angy. Maybes tower appear, or thingy get angy back. Maybe only waters angy. Maybes tower rock is shy" Gunhild randomly rambled out of her mind as she gently wagged her tail from side to side, stretching with her shoulders a little as she thought on nonsense.​

Siegfried's words were somewhat confusing and concerning alike. “I believe those types of being possess, gills, some sort of underwater breathing organ.” She was able to explain at least part of his inquiry. “I... do not think that feeling of dying would be good. Don't you fear death?” She tried to make sense of that part of his statement.

Trustfully, she felt a bit offended when he just complained for being saved. “Surely, your life is worth more than the discomfort of wet clothing?” She scoffed. “If not, it might indeed have been inconvenient for me to have put in the effort to save it.”

She sighed. “There should be a change of clothing in bigger of the tents, in case you'd want to change it for dry clothing. Assuming you wouldn't mind wearing a woman's clothing.” She figured she might as well offer, even though she wasn't really expecting him to take her up on it.

As the crystal was discussed more between Teuihua and Siegfried, something sprang to mind. “The more I look at it, the more I wonder if it's the same type as I saw in Amanda's books at some point...” She clicked her tongue. “Either that or I'm confusing it for those fire gems or for the fuel for Ringo's fountain I've been hoping to find.” She realised there were surprisingly many magic rocks around and/or in demand lately.

As Teuihua picked up the crystal, he'd feel a few 'sparks' like small bits of energy going through him, which luckily didn't do much more other than feeling odd and tingly. Whatever it might've been meant to do, it wasn't doing it right now, that much was clear.

Regula nodded at his conclusion. “If it's normally present in groups of three, we should keep our eyes out for anything that might indicate the other two to be around.” She stated, as she looked around the area herself. Although she had no clue where to even start, sadly enough.

Oddly enough, Gunhild did seem to have an idea that might make some sense. “If one of them reacted with the water... You're right, perhaps some others might react with other elements. It wouldn't surprise me if this one wasn't the only one defect, especially if they're normally used in sets of three...”

A devious plan formed in her mind, as she might be able to combine business with pleasure. “Teuihua, Seigfried, Lowrence, would you mind checking the ground and trees for anything that might stand out? Gundhild, would you come with me and check the rocks?” She knew how much the girl liked her rocks, after all. Gunhild was more surprised than anything to receive the response that she was correct and not stating an overly ridiculous idea out of thin air, gently snuffing as she thought about Sir Silly-Sink donning some pretty princess attire after being offered female clothes. Regula probably didn't have any, but Gunhild thought that some fancy-pants smols liked looking really pretty and expensive or something with overly shiny and frilly clothes. Gunhild didn't really see the point or care about such fashion, it felt like a needless waste of time that didn't do anything.

Snorting in thought as Regula asked the lizard to help search the rocks, Gunhild wasn't gonna turn down an offer to look through rocks and with the Pretty Little Birdie to boot. However, the big lizard was completely unknowing to any devious thoughts Regula had in mind as she gently scratched at her face a little confused.
"Gunhild can helps rocks, Gunhild goods at rocks. Gunhild think Smolhild Gunhild woulds slowers at rock-hide-seek. Gunhild is big and do a big dig do... " Gunhild answered, not really sure why she would ask of it but just going along with it anyway. If it was what Regula asked of then sure she would do it.
"Does Prettylady needs Smolhild Floofahild or just a Smolhild?" Gunhild asked since she was already floofed up since the last time, having not put it back yet.

Teuihua listened to Regula's comment about the crystal, and how it might have shown up in Amanda's book or perhaps not given the other examples she mentioned, either way Teuihua was interested in learning more about the crystals if possible.

"Hm, I felt something just now as I picked this crystal up, perhaps residual energy. Regardless it does not appear to be harmful so I shall hold onto it for the time being if that is agreeable."

Teuihua nodded in agreement when Regula mentioned they should be on the look out for others, that was Teuihua's inclination as well, it was better that they gathered the crystals than let them cause other possible problems like the one in the water evidently had. Maybe with enough fortune and knowledge they could get this one up and running again and unite it with the other two, that would be the best case scenario as perhaps then the crystals could be used again for their intended purpose of being a complete energy source, maybe for something useful, Teuihua thought optimistically to himself.

"I think that is a most wise plan Lady Caelia, if there are other crystals which are flawed like this one is it wouldn't be particularly safe to leave them around for others to find if they act as hazardous as the last one was."

"As a result I do not see why we cannot be on the look out for the magic tower as well as the other crystals."

There was also the possibility they had some relation to the magic tower, Teuihua wasn't really sure about that without hard evidence, but it was another element to take into consideration.

"Yes Lady Caelia, I will investigate the surrounding area with Sir Siegfried and Lowrence then." Much like Lowrence from that point with everything in order, Teuihua started to look around the surrounding area opting to look at some of the nearby trees in particular, using his height and 360 degree vision while he did so, perhaps there'd be a crystal in one or something of the like on some off chance.

Action: Check out nearby trees for crystal or signs of with 360 degree vision and height.

The letter was a utter mess, it was definitly from Gunhild, that Shao knew pretty well, but he couldn't help but feel charmed by it, it was... Cute, unbelievably cute. A woman like her could be seen as a dangerous sort but... The big lug was just so sweet he couldn't help but want to find her again. And finding Gunhild was as easy as finding a mountain, ask somebody where it is and they'll point out the horizon.

And this particular horizon was... Well... blue and very attractive. And very big.

His goddess wouldn't mind his little detour~!

The red furred tramped his way down the path, pointed this way by kindly travellers words about seeing wierd folk this way. His tails trailed behind him in one clump, all collecting in one before he came upon the area of question, and what a strange group he found... What... what was that? A creature made of rocks!? A moving statue!! Next to a slight fellow?

And... Oh, a winged woman? Who was that next to her...?

“Hmhm, you can turn big again in a bit, it's just for now...” She replied to Gunhild's concern. “Whichever you want.” She replied to the second part, as her plans could work with or without floof alike. Either way, once Gunhild shrunk and they were over to check out the rocks, Regula was quick to hug her from behind and wrap her wings around the girl. “There we go, that's payback for picking me up~” She stated, as she ruffled her hand through the girl's hair with some vigor. “You're lovely when you're big as well, but considering you asked for a hug, it seemed like this size of yours offers the perfect opportunity, no?”

She was a tad surprised when she suddenly hears someone ask for Gunhild. Letting go of the girl and trying to look a tad more dignified, she'd tried to regain her composure. “Greetings, sir, I believe the one you're looking for is right here.” She stated, as she wasn't entirely sure what relation between those two was, but seeing how Shao was so open and direct about what he wanted, she felt like she didn't have any right to get in the way. “Right, I'll... I'll just fly across the rocks for a bit, to look through them from the skies.” She stated, as she quickly spread her wings, planning to fly off.

With the other three ordered off elsewhere to inspect other random things in surroundings, Gunhild absentmindedly followed along with Regula in order to check out rocks for any outliers among them. Evil bad rocks simply wouldn't do, especially since rocks were always literally everywhere and a lot of things were made out of different rocks and stuff. If rocks could be evil, then the entire world was at stake. The world was even one big rock, even the cold-moon and the fire-moon were big rocks in the super-sky. Life and everything, was made out of different minerals and other tiny random bits Gunhild didn't know about, and in the end they were all rocks and made of the same little bits. Little rock bits.

Trying to not get overly existential about rocks, Gunhild was interrupted from her thoughts by being surprise hugged by Regula, gently squirming in instinctual discontent since she wasn't at all used to being held in the embrace of someone else as she was always bigger than everyone else. Though shortly after. she quickly and quietly fell at peace softly grumbling little purrs. Being away from Stonetownplace had made her forgotten about the appreciation she had been away from even for such a short little while, but back helping Regula for the moment was definitely worth it. Giving Regula admiring puppy eyes as she gently wagged her tail, a voice eventually requested for the location of Gunhild. As Gunhild had chosen to relieve herself of her floof, especially since Regula didn't like Gunhild being dirty and the lizard was just about to scrounge around in rocks, the questionable request of the voice completely confused Gunhild for a brief moment.

"Gunhild doesn't get called thems thingies... noes, is this a Gunhild dream? Gunhild no like Gunhild brain-lies" Gunhild grumbled, first Regula had shown her such affection and she had met two new friends, and Teuihua was her favouritest ever rock and called her best Gunhild, Gunhild reluctantly looked to the source of the voice only to immediately recognise the first floof she had met in this world, and came to the disappointing conclusion that she must be dreaming.

"Noo, Gunhild not wakey yet. Gunhild dream so very's good" Gunhild whined quietly in discontent before thinking that her dreams were usually a lot more than what was happening right now, even if this was pretty much the best day ever. Her eyes widening that it was (probably) the truly real Shao, Gunhild released her shrunken size to return back to 'normaler' as she scrambled to grab the nearest big rock that would do (Superstrength E) for her use of introduction. She had shifted back to roughly just around 12' since it was her height when they had first met, pushing down the big rock behind Shao so she had a suitable surface while making sure the rock would not touch his tails or anything that would hurt him. When she was figuring out about letter-writing and what were nice things to do for people, she had heard upon a way of introduction for people who cared about someone in specific which worked really well if one was taller or stronger than the other.

Slamming her hand against the rock-wall she placed behind Shao, her kabedon was left awkwardly silent as she stared straight into his eyes for a few moments before coming to the conclusion she didn't know what she was supposed to do after that. Sheepishly shifting her animalistic glare to one of blank cluelessness, Gunhild just quietly spoke.
"Gunhild not know what Gunhild have do now. Gunhild thought wall-thing was big-person kind-hello-thing. Gunhild no get... Gunhild was saids Gunhild coulds 'Gunhild pulls' but Gunhild knows Gunhild can pull, Gunhild strong. Smols are silly" Gunhild answered as she just eventually just sat in front of him in pure innocence and confusion as she tilted her head. His request of lookijg for her still didn't make a lot of sense.

"Magic Floofa say many thing about Gunhild. Gunhild only make a smol word-paper... " Gunhild asked in question, although she was not against the fact that this pretty red floofa had come specifically looking for her. Scratching her face gently, there was still another thing that made no sense.
"Gunhild does likes a cuddle do, but Gunhild no know what a kissy's is. Smols have many silly little words for silly-things they does a do. Gunhild's never ever doeses a kissy's any ever time" Gunhild answered as she held her hands up in a little shrug of not understanding, hearing Regula saying about her plans to go look at the rocks.

"But Pretty-Lady not meets Pretty-Floofa yets. That's a... " Gunhild began as she stared at her outspread claws trying to what seemed like counting before it was clear it resulted in nothing successful.
"A Pretty and a Pretty is, the thing when there's a Pretty-Pretty of Pretty-Pretty- Gunhild know Pretty-Baronessies know what Gunhild means" Gunhild answered, the thing she was looking for was calculating the difficult mathematics of 1 + 1 = 2. Looking at Shao, Gunhild answered.
"Pretty-Lady is smol-names ReguLady. Pretty-Lady ises a smol Birdie but Pretty-Lady says she no a bird... Gunhild thinkses Prettylady is a bird. Prettywingsies and Gunhild friends are findings a magic tall-house thats birthing and unbirthings all of the places. Like Purpy-Floofa fox magic house. Maybes Majestic-Floofaman has magic floofa house. Friends find bad-rocks that do bad-magics and thingies" Gunhild answered blatantly since Regula clearly couldn't prove Gunhild's flawless logic wrong. Trying to explain what they're doing, Gunhild would probably begin to help start sifting through rocks and looking around to assist while dividing her attention to Shao.

Teuihua took note of the new comer, seeing that Regula was unbothered by them, Teuihua was as well, giving Shao a wave. Teuihua then heard Lowrence mention his name, seeming to pick up on how Siegfried had started refering to him. Teuihua certainly didn't mind being called Sir Teuihua, it sounded formal and nice enough,even if he wouldn't exactly consider himself a knight or Noble to get that sort of title attatchment, at least that's what Teuihua thought to himself.

He did make his way over to Lowrence, to look at the trees lowrence was speaking of. "I'll take a look." Using his 360 degree vision he looked at every tree around where Lowrence was with greater skepticism. What was really strange was that it sort of looked like one of the trees nearby Lowrence had some sort of..face? He would use as many move actions needed to reach D!, 35 on the map, gently tapping the tree with his more dexterious hand.

"Right you are, Lowrence, it looks like something is here Perhaps it's alive....Is anyone there?" Teuihua asked the 'tree' curiously, for now holding onto the faulty crystal while he asked to see if he would get a response not sure if he would one way or another.

  • Siegfried hadn't particularly understood Regula's idea of 'fearing death.' Of course, this was due to how he knew death; or well, believed he did. To Siegfried, those who died simply left behind their worldly vessel to enter a place beyond the realm. Creatures like Siegfried, who weren't supposed to die, instead ceased to exist and became part of the world—whether it be simple flowers, seafoam on the waters' surface or the clouds in the sky.

    He believed others understood that too, and thus was left quite bemused to hear that Regula would propose the idea of fearing death. He'd have answered bluntly with a reassuring smile and
    a simple "No—" He'd have looked up subtly, "Death is another form of life, to fear death would be to fear living. You can die at any moment in any place due to any reason; so why fear it?" Was what he would end with.

    Siegfried had very well agreed to accompany Lowrence and Teuihua in searching the area for more of the stones. He'd follow Teuihua as he moved and shifted his eyes to the tree(?) that Lowrence pointed out. Siegfried tilted his head and then walked along with Teuihua over to the tree(?). The nominal knight moved thither [36E!], examining it blankly with [Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme].

    "Pardon our trespasses, are you perchance in relation with the sprightly one, or rather, the crystal that was within the near pond?" Siegfried greeted the supposed "tree" with a smile. He made sure to take note of the things around the tree, like any ants that would likely be running along its bark, or any birds perched upon its branches. If it was scarce of life, then it was likely to be like the pond.

    There was another thing he wanted to attempt, "Are you afflicted by aught impurity?" He'd asked. After all, the pond seemed to adversely react immediately after he had proposed the likelihood of it being impure.

The moment Teuihua tapped the tree, it started to sway, making a wave-like motion with its branches that was just... just... so completely and utterly irresistible that he simply had to start replicating it. Waving left. Waving right. Like a branch on the wind's breeze. Left and right. Left and right. A simple, yet so utterly fluent, beautiful, charming motion that one could hardly ignore. Not just that, there was this deep desire worming its way inside his mind to start waving along and enjoy the motion. The motion of the breeze. Nothing else mattered. (Mind Control E attack – attempting to have Teuihua move like a branch in the wind).

Siegfried's attempt to investigate and talk was met with the same effect. If giving himself over to a cold watery death had been 'pleasant' then now, something in his brain would tell him how much more pleasant it'd be to just 'branch' in the wind for the rest of eternity. To wave along the motions of the breeze. Left to right. Left to right. Like a branch in the wind. (Mind Control E attack – attempting to have Siegfried move like a branch in the wind).

Meanwhile, Gunhild's attempt at having Regula stick around to meet Shao wasn't successful, as the latter didn't want to interrupt whatever she'd been doing by placing Shao up against a rock and a hard place and had flown off in the meantime.

That said, from a short bit of her flight, she had noticed one rock that stood out. It'd been surprisingly close to them all this time as well. “I might've found it!” She called out. However, as she was observing the rock, she got a little too close... close enough it to suddenly grab her. Just as she was about to ready her weapons or magic, however, she realised the world suddenly looked a whole lot... bigger? Had... had this weird rock-magic-creature-crystal thing just shrunk her?

"Oh my what a charmer~!" Shao chimed happily, his hands going up to squish her face, but she ran away already, oh how sad... He'd have to settle with looking for a second. he sauntered up next to Gunhild, looking at the... Rock sifting.. What was she doing he wondered...? Looking for rocks? But she was also doing that talking thing... Though.. Really Shao had little idea what she was actually "saying" saying. Since she sort of spoke Gunhildese.

A hand lightly traced her back as she shuffled the dirt. "Such a hard worker, keep it up my dear you'll find what you desire soon." the hand stopped at the base of her tail before tapping it with curious playfullness. "Hmm... Seems your winged friend left... a shame.. Shes rather pretty, I'd love to run my hands through those feathers. But don't you feel jealous, you're plenty a softy too Gun-gun~!" the flirty fox looked happy as a clam, though he certainly wasn't being helpful today.

At least with rock collecting.

"..Though.. I don't know what your looking for my dear... Ah..." he brushed a speck of dirt from her face, and...

Well he couldn't help it.

Planted a kiss right on the top of her head, it was rare she was down his height anyways, bets he take advantage. "Thats a kiss, press your lips and smooch thats all." he rubbed her head with a hand and... Hmm... yes he'll just...

Sit on this wrong and watch her work, definitly not watching her... tail... Yes.

He was here for very legitimate reasons.

Gunhild had no idea what Shao was going on about, since he talked all that 'Flirtese' that smols adored so much, it was probably why Shao was so lovable to those who spent even a little amount of time around him though Gunhild didn't get it. She just liked Shao because Shao was a nice good floofa and also he was very floofa and magical. Sorting through her dirt and rocks in her own little quest to find the thing that Regula wanted, becoming more bizarrely confused when he kept making continued contact and calling her nicknames. Gunhild was pretty sure she was not a 'Gungun', how many times did she have to say that Gunhild was Gunhild? T'was not a difficult concept. Although, others didn't like or get it when she called them different names. Perhaps Shao's flexibility on his social interactions was just built different in comparison to everyone else that he appreciated Gunhild like nobody else could.

Snuffing and looking to him when he asked what she was exactly looking for, she was about to try to explain it clearer before she was interrupted by receiving a little kiss on the head by the fabulous fox. Gunhild visibly froze up in a mixture of shock and confusion unsure for what reason one would make such a gesture against another, people were supposed to bring their mouths to food to eat it. Not... do, whatever that was. Usually the mouth was all fangs and for violence, how was Shao able to use his mouth in such a delicate and affectionate method that didn't involve using those funny silly wordy-words that smols said to make Gunhild happy? Sat in stunned silence for a short moment, Gunhild was clearly not prepared to comprehend the absolute magical wizard that Shao must have been to control such powers.

She was also quite overwhelemd by the joy that he was so casually petting her and giving her affection despite the 'public presence' of others as Regula put it that would make it too embarrassing to do. Too distracted to look at rocks now as she lightly patted in the ground at hesitation on how to answer, Gunhild was very clearly moving her head as if she was trying to comprehend how to do it in the exact way he did but reluctant that she was gonna do it wrong or incorrectly. Grumbling and emitting quiet whines that she found herself struggling to see a way to do it right for the moment, she eventually just crumbled on her attempts and pulled her large arms around him to hug him instead since it was a lot simpler.
"Gunhild no know how do kissy, Gunhilds learns do kissy for Pretty Magic Floofa Shao" Gunhild answered as she sat tightly embracing him and nuzzling her face against him. Loudly rumbling deep reptilian purrs, she harmlessly and gently nipped twice at his cheek as if trying to copy his kiss but not getting the full hang of it, cuddling him for a moment before she eventually heard Regula call that she had potentially found the crystal.
"Mhm, Gunhild do a hugses soons, Prettybird find bad-rock. Thanksies Bestestest Pretty Floofa!" Gunhild beamed cheerfully joyful that someone had appreciated her to the extent that Shao did, gently letting him go before turning her attention to the direction she had heard Regula from.
"Pretty-Reds shoulds be safes. Bad-Rocks very bads and stinky. Do a weird do's... " Gunhild warned to Shao as she went to find what Regula was dealing with, finding her with the weird rock creature and assuming it was going to be just as nasty as the evil water was. Gunhild already knew water was evil, but now they were making the rocks evil? A heinous and villainous act, one she would not stand. In order to capably act, she'd have to drop her hold on her current size and go back to her normal height of 16' which would probably end up being an odd surprise for Shao for her to suddenly grow bigger. If only he knew the full extent of it, Gunhild was a literal mountain if she wanted to be.

Sir Siegfried deciding to accompany them was well taken by Teuihua. Maybe whatever this was would be receptive to Siegfried, unfortunately there hadn't been much luck between whatever was in the water and seemingly now whatever this was. The questions he asked seemed reasonable to Teuihua however, the construct finding having Siegfried around to instill a nice feeling.

"This is no ordinary tree, something is using magic Sir Siegfried and Lowrence." Teuihua spoke clearly and calmly, unfortunately that didn't exactly stop him from resisting the tree's mind control since he had made direct contact with it of all things. Even if he was a higher grade than it, he was still compelled. Another moment for Teuihua to be frustrated about, because he knew full well that his creators had designed him to be more resistant to this sort of thing, another part of him which had no returned to full power yet which hopefully would be remedied since this sort of thing had happened at Yemaya last too.

For the time being Teuihua imitated the branch in the wind movement, hopefully whatever had caught them didn't have some kind of incredibly long duration on it. It was probably quite a sight between Lowrence who was moving, and the large construct who probably looked most unusual imitating the movement, if there was a beneficial time for Teuihua's mind shield to come online again now would be a splendid time, he had work to do, even if he was completely unaware of what was going on with Regula that would have only made him more concerned, but for now he just focused on the movement, almost like they had some sort of tranquil flash mob going now.

Regula, or perhaps Tinygula for now, was seeing her life flash by when Gunhild went all-out on the rock whilst she was shrunken down by its odd magic and standing right besides it. Whilst being crushed by a tail might be the best way to go for her in theory, the method and timing of it weren't exactly ideal in practice. Before she could even call out for Gunhild to be careful, she nearly got knocked out by a pebble flying wild and hitting her in the head. Her gear didn't seem to work well in its shrunk-down state either, leaving her more defenceless than she'd felt in a long while.

Meanwhile, the moment Gunhild first touched the Rock, it started shrinking her as well. That said, with her size already being as large as it was and her own ability to change size, she'd be able to hold off the effect for long enough to destroy the rock, leaving nothing but an odd greyish crystal in its wake. Luckily enough for Regula, she and her gear returned to normal size short after, after which she activated her healing cloak to stop her head for bleeding. “That was rough...” She took a few deep breaths. “You got the bad rock though, well done.” She stated, though still feeling a tad too woozy to give a hug or pet as reward.

Left and right. Left and right. Like branch in the wind. He was a tree. His arms were branches. Siegfried and Teuihua were having a similar experience... Yet luckily for the group of them, keeping someone of Teuihua's character grade under control proved too much, as the crystal eventually seemed to run out of magic, giving them back control of themselves.

A bit after it stopped, a greenish crystal was revealed where the tree had once been. However, the moment all crystals were gathered, something odd happened. Before the eyes of all those present, it looked like they were standing in a large field of maize. Various people were working these fields, between large constructs like Zeouli. Even larger constructs like Teuihua were heading to a tower in the centre, where they seemed offer a small prayer as a sudden burst of energy would fill them, after which they continued their patrolling duties. Teuihua would immediately recognise the scene. Not just that, he'd feel the same energy entering him. The crystals, a remnant from his civilisation, having continued to occasionally slow glimpses of a long-lost past to those in the present, now giving their final energy to fulfil one last task. Granting the construct energy and with it access to some of his functions from the long-lost past.

Feels like there was an over abundance of tentacle like things in this roleplay. The petters are still petting. Interesting uses of possible drowning and mind control. good effort keeping things on track despite some random forces.
