The one who made Aerth
Since before recorded history, the majority of the sentient population of Gorgrim have worshipped one of four gods.
Ali, God of elements who created air water fire and earth.
Illy, God of control who manipulated and shaped Gorgrim using Ali's gifts.
Rorsch, God of life and death who spawned all living things on Illy's newly shaped planet.
Papo, the God of energy who gave Rorsch's children light and magic.
Gorgrim like any other world has it's share of success and failures. More of the latter if the four gods would be honest with each other.
None truly to blame you see.
It was Ali who forged so much of the elements that Illy needed to place the excess power elsewhere, Rorsch creating life meant some of those elements were given the capacity to think and to top it off Papo made the entire planet capable of magic via sunlight.
Needless to say grand countries have risen and fallen...
Great hero's have lived prosperous and died...
Terrible monsters have grown to legend and been slain...
But most upsetting to the gods is Rorsch's children.
Some have turned to worshipping a different cause, Its name Dios and it is evil formed from life and death. A force so strong the gods have watched on for hundreds of years with Dios slowly growing in power to rival their own.
The four decided to intervene, yet they are not allowed to do so directly as the four gods power is so blinding and impressive it would shatter Gorgrim within minutes.
"We must choose a avatar to funnel our power into"
"We would need one each and slowly drip power into them so their mortal bodies would not combust"
"Round up suitable souls, any would love to live again I'm sure"
"Pick some from that universe, those souls have amazing potential for magic"
The four gods chose dead souls from Earth and gave them a choice...
"Live again, destroy evil and become a demigod"
"Or stay dead"

Controlling the elements.
Earth wind fire water
Control in general (telekinesis/Support magic for elements)
Control of life or death (talking to animals/healing/cursing)
Control of Energy (external battery pack and physical support)
If you play you would be chosen by the gods as one of their avatars and have great potential for one of those magics above. That or your someone native to Gorgrim who is gonna help these God sent people cause "group rp and you stick together"
