Devils once ruled The Continent upon seven seats.
Most were better leaders than humans could ever dream to be. They were solely focused on the wellbeing and care of their people while still ruling with a firm hand.
But some made the name Devil taste like poison in the mouths of their people.
That poison spread across The Continent like wildfire.
In the Second Age, the Templar Order was formed.
They wiped out the devil monarchs and sat their own figures on the throne.
For a time, there was peace.
But nothing is more selfish, more hateful, greedier... and lusting for power than a human who believes he is king.
Over time, The Continent fell into ruin and chaos.
The people remained quiet with fear.
Mirage, once ruled by Inoue, now ruled by Alden, was experiencing a famine due to the neglect of their lands. The land was dry, and the people were starving.
Visage, once ruled by Iscariot, now ruled by Declan, was now a place where no one could leave. Nearly everyone had a debt that was so great it would have to be paid back by physical labor.
Facade, once ruled by Malach, now ruled by Medeiro, had fallen into terror. Children went missing all too often, never to be found. Even speaking of their disappearance was a crime punishable by death.
Hiraeth, once ruled by Kalais, now ruled by Matilde, was now hoarding all of its wealth, even from its own people.
Myriad, once ruled by Aislin, now ruled by Gida, was the epicenter of this madness. Devil supporters and devils are carted here in the thousands to face their sentence.
These usurpers knew they had lain waste to these kingdoms. But they were at the top of it all. And as humans do, they were going to fight tooth and nail for things that do not belong to them.
It is up to us to put an end to this and restore The Continent to its rightful place, while placing its rightful rulers back upon the throne, one kingdom.
