Sora nodded with a chuckle at Yasu's joke flip, finding her rather funny even though the situation was heated. The smirk on his face though, was quickly cut off as the Kunoichi hit one of the bandits in the square of his chest with a Savage kick, sending him flying backwards, leaving him in a pile, probably unconscious.

She's rather scary

Thought Sora, nodding his head to the side with a raised eyebrow, as the folded goon had been crushed in one blow. He then turned his gaze to the other two henchmen, who in turn looked at one another with a touch of fear in their eyes.

As they prepared to attack, Sora gathered chakra in his chest, breathing in the damp air of the rain-soaked night, before unleashing a set of hand seals, barking out "Water style, Water Bullet Jutsu! "

The attack could've been better, lacking the focus of a better Ninjutsu user, but it did the job as three golf ball sized water projectiles fired from the Chunin's mouth, slamming into the chest of one of the fodder enemies, sending him to the ground several feet behind where he had stood, clutching his chest and writhing in pain.

With both comrades at his heal, each collapse, the final henchmen turned to look for help from one of his more powerful allies, but none came, and as he turned back to face the chunin, Sora body flickered behind the man, gathering like a spring before kicking the man in his lower back, sending him flying over the head of Yasu so that she could deliver a finishing blow.

"Let's see what you're capable of then!"

Belowed the chunin sarcastically with a smirk, anticipating the finisher she would deliver to the airborne goon who arched high above, awaiting a finishing blow.

Meanwhile, Kakashi makes his way to the top of the mobile core, preparing to take on the boss of the gang who reveals another arm, covered in Jutsu seals. Despite the enemy ninja being low in skill, his sealed Jutsu are extremely powerful, extremely fast, and extremely numerous and the Jonin will need an assist if this is to be handled quickly.

Today was not a good day for Gombe. Well that's what people - okay his fellow bandits and roughneck wannabes called him anyway, it was easier than 'Yo Chunin Pal of Bossman', and they didn't ever want to call him 'The Claw Master'. He didn't get it, he thought it was cool and it made sense given the radical metal claw he had on his right hand. Man it was dope, pure black claws, gold exterior. Course the paint job was really spotty, a lot of bubbles and it had many chips on it especially around the sharp nails, but he liked it.

It made him feel, well, special because just marking out his headband didn't make him stand out as much as he thought it did once. He didn't look much different from a lot of his peers back when he actually attended the academy. People always said he blended in with the crowd and that irked the Chunin, so eventually he was fed up. He swore things would be different, he thought that maybe, just maybe the boss would appreciate him. But no, he got ordered around and never got called 'Claw Master'. When the gang grew, hey maybe he could order the others around. But even those lowlifes didn't appreciate the Chunin.

So there he was on a tree horrified for his very life as he could feel the bark crawling around him. It was so real, felt so painful as the rough texture kept slowly going around him. It started at the legs, as if the roots knew to go for his own roots. From there the illusion branches began crawling upwards, slowly and methodically crunching against his flesh. His mind was wracked with horrible sensations and thoughts as now the Genjutsu branches delved deep into his mouth, causing it to feel as if it dried up, becoming stricken by sandpaper roughing up his insides. Why did they take refuge in the trees when they could do these things!?

Were all trees secretly like this?

Kotone watched the sight, observing every detail of the man. The Chunin Secondary did not look like he was having a pleasant time, as they struggled in place as if trying to escape. Their mouth was wide open yearning to scream but thinking that they could not. Kotone herself opened her mouth for a moment but carefully used her left hand to cover it in a strategic sense. "Remarkable. His compatriots dare not approach? Perhaps he has a habit that causes him to engage in such behavior and they think it is normal. They do not run, which might suggest that to be the case... Yet is that due to our presence? A stubbornness on their part? Perhaps they simply do not know better?" Kotone monologued as she carefully removed her left hand from her mouth. She gingerly brushed away some hair that got out of place due to a light breeze.

The kunoichi kept still, ever patient in these endeavors. After all patience was a virtue she had instilled in her many times before, especially when it came to the affairs of the court. She idly listened to the droplets of rain coming down and gazed around to her surroundings. Such a peaceful night of rain was disturbed yes, not only by the fact these interlopers tried what they did, but due to her counterparts choosing far more noisy and active methods.

With a sigh Kotone returned her attention back to the individual she targeted and began utilizing more hand-signs. Her attention was keenly on observing this miscreant and the results they displayed and of course keeping them on lock-down so the rest of the bandits would not be able to turn to this leader when they got to him. But perhaps Kotone's squad would get rid of the footsoldiers before messing with the boss? She dared not to speculate.

Once again things were not good for the Chunin. As if feeling the very illusion wrath of the tree itself was not enough, another Genjutsu was stacked onto their personal torment. The branches of the tree began to morph into a shape, a familiar yet un-real shape. It, it seemed to speak. /Mother please, I-I can explain! /

Yasu wasn't really sure what Sora had meant by that, she had already showed off what she could do. Perhaps he had wanted to see her ninjutsu, but that would be a waste on these guys. They were weak and they weren't even the ones they were after. Sighing to herself, she looked up and saw the hapless thug fly over her head. "Guess there's no helping it." She thrust her hands out, fingertips hitting the man in the shoulders and dislocating them with a loud pop. Satisfied with her work, as getting up without the use of your arms was probably too advanced of a skill for a bandit like him, she then ran over to Sora. "Hope that's good enough for you, I don't want to do anything too flashy before we catch our targets. Never know what can happen with real opponents, right?"

Things weren't very promising from their first introduction. They were all chunin and Katsuyoshi had been more than familiar with about half of them who had taken the exam at the same time he did. That is, many of them were his opponents during the forest of death. Using his own jutsu, he could easily discern what they were each hiding, though the signs were not exactly inconspicuous and it was obvious when he was using his powers to read someone's mind.

"Clear Springs. Got it." Katsuyoshi mumbled.

The journey there had been long to say the least. In the time it took them to travel to Clear Springs, Katsuyoshi discreetly explained parts of his plan in addition to using his hidden jutsu to telepathically link the group. While they were linked, Katsuyoshi could communicate with any member of their group. However, each individual member can only communicate with Katsuyoshi, making Katsuyoshi the center point of communications, relaying information between all the members without use of spoken word. It was with this technique that Katsuyoshi's group had one of the best scores in the forest of death.

Even before getting out of the forest, the action seemed to start almost immediately. Reading the surface thoughts of the twelve mob members and was quite disgusted. Obviously their thread was more for power than sexual gratification, though that didn't seem to be the assumption of some of his teammates whose minds were linked to his own. Having a new member though, Kotegiri, did throw a bit of a wild card.

Katsuyoshi hung back, feeling no need to go on for a full frontal assault. With a simple handsign, he created a clone using the basic academy jutsu, and sent it out to battle in his stead, acting more as a distraction to allow his teammates to more easily pick them off.

As this was happening though, Katsuyoshi was wondering why the group attacked this random bandit gang in the first place. It was a large enough group and judging by their skill levels, it would have been much better left in the hands of a training group of genin. Of course, it was already too late. His team was already on the attack. Katsuyoshi could only expedite the process so that they could get on to their real mission. Though something told him these people knew something about Clear Springs.

With that in mind, Katsuyoshi, still hidden, attempted to listen closer to the minds of the people his allies were assailing for any surfacing thoughts about the mission Katsuyoshi's group was on hoping that nobody was killed in the process, interrupting his interrogation. Maybe this way he could find some information.

“Tch. What a drag...”

The journey thus far had been long but peaceful and Shizuka had actually enjoyed it well enough. Not many had really said anything to him, up until now it had been quiet. Frowning in displeasure, he took up a lazy defensive stance in case any of their would-be opponents tried for a preemptive attack. Meanwhile, he also used his keen hearing to listen out for any backstabbers behind them. As a sensory type, it’s was his duty to take care of the things their more ‘focused’ fighters paid no attention to. Despite his lax attitude, Shizuka’s sharp mind and senses did not waver as the fight continued, his training as a chuunin holding firm in his stance and analysis of the battlefield.

Looking around, he couldn’t see anyone who needed his immediate help as missing-nin fell left right and centre. Shizuka couldn’t help but half-heartedly wonder why his teammates were so strong, what impetus drove them to become so capable as they now demonstrated to be. If there was one thing he lacked, it was definitely the drive to push himself to that extent. Snapping out of his wonder, Shizuka watched as Kakashi jumped up to the massive earth podium to take care of the enemy’s leader. Immediately, Shizuka thought out several different courses of action to aid his superior in some way, deciding to go with the fifth option. He turned to Suba: the smaller ninja that had made it through the chuunin exam with him as part of the same squad prior to the bombing.

“Suba, come with me. I think we should go and assist Kakashi.”

Using his excellent physical prowess as a prominent taijutsu user, he then jumped up to begin scaling the wall. He gathered chakra in his feet in hopes of sticking to the wall properly as he ran up it, and luckily his chakra control was good enough to easily keep him steady. As he neared the edge, Shizuka used [Body Flicker Jutsu] to appear at Kakashi’s side in a kneeling position, then standing to his full height as they faced off against the missing-nin’s leader. He only hoped that Suba had been quick enough to follow his example.

During the length of the assault, Suba herself opted to observing the flow of battle whilst perched upon a sturdy tree-branch. The team seemed to handle offense well, but caution by majority seemed tossed to the wind. While she inwardly debated if such precautions were necessary when dealing with a simple group of bandits, she'd learned the hard way not to underestimate opposition. Taking little to no time to discern the leader among them, Suba chose to observe from a position of cover. The tags along their arms, the speed of jutsu execution they offered. By the time she'd turned to Shizuka and opened her mouth, he'd already said the words that came to mind. Assisting Kakashi. Offering a content smile, she'd begin rocking back and forth before following behind her previous partner. "'Kaay~" Dropping from the tree, she'd begin running toward the earthen protrusion with arms raised to begin stringing a number of seals. Beside her shortly after appeared an identical clone, and mimicking its creator, the two briefly paused in motion with a slight bend of the knees to later burst upward and onto the wall with the aid of chakra. Whilst scaling the earthen wall, Suba and her clone broke off in two different directions. Lacking Shizuka's speed, it'd be a brief waiting period before she caught up, positioning herself behind Kakashi and Shizuka as to offer support should the need rise, and secondly to have ample space for evasion should the leading chunin use another projectile. As for her clone, however, it'd be hanging off the rock's side. Positioned behind the leading chunin, out of view, and waiting for its moment. Should the need arise.

Koren was a confident man, he had battled hunter ninja, Jonin among them, and survived through his use of sealed Jutsu, a skill learned from his father, many years ago. Before him stood three ninja, all his junior by at least ten years, and none looked experienced enough to challenge he who had survived a decade as a missing ninja and four years before in the service of the Rain.

"Three more headbands to add to my collection"

He growled, words leaking through his face mask, the sound raspy and mechanical from passing through the rebreather.

"Out of respect for your bravery, I'll make it quick"

He continued, attempting to psych out the three leaf ninja before rolling back his sleeves, showing off his prized weapon, the 100 sealed Jutsu technique, with 100 techniques sealed into papers, sown together and wrapped around his arms like bandages. He had used two already, but the 98 remaining were more than enough to give any opponent trouble.

He started his attack immediately. Two of the seals broke, releasing a torrent if mud that turned the ground around the Leaf ninja into a swamp, and atop this rode a wave of fire. Kakashi, having dropped his mask, revealing his sharingan, could track the attack easily enough, and raised an earth wall, protecting the three from the fire, but not the stinging heat and ash that swirled around them. Not hot enough to injure, but inconvenient none the less as the superheated air stung the lungs of the three.

"Set him up for me, and I'll finish him" yelled Kakashi over the crackling of fire as the earth wall crumbled, the orange glow illuminating the battlefield, casting an ominous light on the enemy ninja.

Shizuka wasted no time as soon as he saw the seals activate. His eyes widened almost immediately due to his decent reactions and he chose to evade the incoming jutsus altogether by jumping up high. Luckily for him, Shizuka’s physical speed was one of the best for a chuunin and he had no trouble getting enough air to avoid the muddy floor and ensuing fiery blaze that shortly followed. As he soared up, he gathered chakra in his arms to prepare for a counterattack. As he reached his highest point, he quickly compressed this chakra into a thin blade to execute [Tsukigiri] with deadly efficiency. Splaying his arms out as if to loosely karate chop the air, a crescent-shaped blade of wind chakra shot forth from his hands and forearms. They travelled incredibly quickly in the direction of their opponent.

With the width and angle of the attack coming from above and in front, the missing-nin would be unable to dodge forward nor up, or up as the chakra blades would most likely carve through his torso or head. If he were fast, he might be able to evade to the sides - at the risk of catching a glancing hit on the sides given the parallel angle of the attacks. Of course, as the chakra slashes were on course for his current position, the path of least resistance would be jump backwards to avoid the attack as that would be physically easiest. Using this deduction while mid flight, Shizuka deduced that it was most likely that the missing-nin leader would move backwards. Additionally, Shizuka had seen Suba’s clone move in a different direction and had faintly heard the clone’s footsteps come to a stop in a hidden position directly behind their enemy thanks to his gifted hearing. Calculating all of this in a very short time, he had aimed his attacks in the hopes that their opponent would be forced backwards unwittingly into the ambush set by Suba’s clone, who could then either dispatch or distract the man long enough for Kakashi to land that final blow. If his chakra slashes did kill the ex-chuunin then and there, then it would be all the better for him.

“Honestly, this better work...”

The smaller kunoichi took a cautionary step backwards as the leading chunin prepared his next attack. Despite the heat of battle, Suba found it hard to dismiss her awe-filled expression toward his manner of jutsu execution. "Soo cool~" She'd say in a hushed manner. With Kakashi's earthen wall rose in her defense, her brows slouched into a more serious expression. "Alright, Shirudo. Comme on ouut. We've got some butt to kick." Frequently clearing her throat from the ash and smoke stemming from the surrounding of fire, she'd begin stringing together a number of seals before slamming a palm onto the earthen floor. Within a puff of smoke that soon cleared was a 6 ft slug with excellent posture...for a slug, and top physical condition.......for a slug. "Shiirruddoo~" He'd chime with what almost seemed like a pose. The kunoichi's teeth would grit, barking for the slug to quiet down. "Shiirruddo~" He'd repeat with his inside voice, lazily observing his current surroundings. Opening his mouth to yawn, he'd receive a bonk on the head from Suba. "Hey! Nows not the time, you goof. We've gotta some butt to kick." He..yawns again. "I'm ..serious!" She'd say with a continued hushed tone, only to be met with a third yawn. "He ..called your gran gran fat." The slug's face suddenly tightened in anger, moments later returning to normal. "..Wait. Which one..?" He questioned. "The fifth one. With the..lazy eye." Gasping in pure disgust, the slug's face tightened once more in anger, seemingly ready to receive order.

"We've ..an ass kicking to deliver then. Don't we, princess?" With a nod, she'd hushly begin relaying her current plan with her summoning. With a heavy nod, two smaller slugs were produced from Shirudo, one being henge'd to resemble Suba, and the other sliding its way onto Kakashi's shoulder. The henge'd slug jumped onto the top of Kakashi's earthen wall, building chakra at the legs before bounding into the air to meet the Shizuka currently building chakra into his arms. "The princess asked me to assist you." And so he did, drawing from Suba's chakra, the henge'd slug placed a hand on Shizuka's shoulder and began feeding chakra into the male, offering just enough to empower the slices of wind Shizuka would later direct toward The leading chunin. Moments afterwards, the airborne slug imitating Suba poofed in smoke, returning to its true form and landing firmly on Shizuka's shoulder.

As for Suba, she'd look toward Kakashi. "Take that little guy with you. He can heal up any small wounds you get, or feed you chakra if ya' run short." With that said, she'd be sucked inside the large slug and moments later it burrowed into the ground, creating a hole large enough to begin funneling the mud away and provide more stable footing for the team. Once the mud was redirected, both Suba and her summoning remained inside the elevated rock. Waiting to react to the leading chunin's response to Shizuka's blades of wind. "It's..less squishy in here than I remember." -- "I've been..-" He clears his throat, "Working out." -- "....Riiight~"

As the first stones made contact with the man’s thigh and abdomen, the turquoise-haired woman heard someone call out amidst the fray “Nice one!” Scanning the field, she eventually caught sight of another kunoichi sprinting to join their comrade in facing off a trio, whilst a separate one seemed to have one of their opponents entranced in a genjutsu. She was certain that it was the former who had spoken, and something about her movements seemed familiar... but she couldn't pinpoint it at this time. Returning her gaze to the individual above, she noted that he was lying down by the platform’s edge, but before turning away spotted a dark silhouette get thrown from the floating boulder. As the small object descended towards her, the kunoichi barely had enough time to unsheathe her blade and clumsily swipe the weapon to deflect it. One could hear a faint ping as metal struck metal, and then the air abruptly grew hot and dense with acrid smoke.

Coughing as the impact of the explosive tag sent her stumbling back, the leaf-nin winced as her eyes started tearing up. From a preliminary assessment, she hadn’t sustained too much damage besides singed hair and and a swelling patch of inflamed skin along her arm, but that her carelessness cost her so was irksome all the same. “Tch, now’s not the time to take in the view.” she scolded under her breath whilst cringing from the burn. Yet from this new angle her watering eyes could spy the man getting to his knees and fumbling in his pouch. Normally she didn’t like to be so hasty, but drawing out a fight with this guy when there were others matters to deal with would do no good. Regaining her footing and digging into her own satchel, her free hand pulled out a pair of shuriken. Pausing a moment, she inhaled deeply to still herself before sending the projectiles flying upwards, each glowing faintly from the chakra she’d imbued. The first was blocked by the genin, but the second made its mark and buried itself into his side. With a yelp he crumpled back onto the platform.

“I wouldn’t move too much, if I were you.” Naoko called out to the missing-nin as she hefted the blade onto her shoulder. “Don’t want to damage any organs.” she continued in a quieter voice, and after a mangled string of blasphemy was shouted back proceeded to reassess the field. Kakashi had made his way up the platforms to confront the leader, with two of her teammates following suit to assist. The pair of leaf-nin from earlier also seemed to fare rather well handling their assailants, and the genjutsu user still had her opponent ensnared, the fellow in question looking to be in great pain. However, a few hooligans still persisted, one of them appearing to try and sneak up on the older kunoichi. Perhaps she was capable of handling herself and was aware of the peripheral threat approaching… but that wasn’t an assumption the turquoise-haired lady was willing to make, and with that began sprinting (Or rather jogging) towards them.

As she drew closer, Naoko used her free hand to grab a kunai from her bag and flung it in the thug’s direction. Grazing his cheek, the hulking figure turned to face her just as the chunnin lifted her blade to strike. The man was nimble for his size however, and just as the sword descended he rose his hands to meet it, the twang of clashing metal emanating as the odachi met resistance. A pair of thick knucklebuster’s gleamed in the light as a battle of raw strength persisted. Gritting her teeth as she slowly forced the man to his knees, the kunoichi called out to her nearby squad member. “Erm, I hate to be rude, but should we not perhaps hurry things up a bit? Or should I just leave you to your work?”

Kotone was, well, rather invested in seeing the horrors that the Claw Master was going through. It was not only a matter of making sure they were locked down and how they would pass out and succumb to the horrors of her craft, but she was able to get an insight into how these miscreants worked together. The answer was obviously that these individuals needed far more team-building exercises, which incidentally Gombe might've suggested at one point but that was neither here nor there. What was here and there, were the fact that yes there were still other ne'er-do-wells that needed moping up. But like a craftsman, Kotone was entranced by well entrancing another into that horrible realm.

As the droplets of rain kept falling down gently through the trees, providing a rather distinct contrast to the field of pitch battle they were in, Kotone softly smiled as she tilted her head. She was only left to imagining what plea this individual was making to the image of the mother that was so disappointed in him for his life choices. Surely, even the illusionary mother, raised her child better than this. It was only his fault that he was now dealing with horrible illusions that tormented and ravaged his body. As more wind came, Kotone gently continued to move hair out of place as she intently watched the scene. Her head was leaned forward and the Shihashi even began alternating from being on her tip-toes to flat down to observe the horrors.

It was her duty, after all, to make sure that the illusions took hold and that they ravaged the mind of those she had targeted. And if she needed to keep watch over them to make sure it went as through as possible to break them, why couldn't she watch intently to take notes for future endeavors of psychological torment via her Genjutsus? Of course this train of peaceful observation was interrupted by one of her team-mates.

Kotone craned her head from side to side as she looked for the source of the noise. Which Kotone was able to do, as she noted a somewhat perturbed Naoko who was busy with a more direct method of bringing down an opponent. A brief thought occurred to the kunoichi as she began to wonder if she had met this individual before. Oh well, that was not the important thing right now. Shihashi glanced towards the Claw Master who had given up all hope and had accepted the inevitable defeat, there was no use trying to explain, now he knew he was a naughty child, a disobedient son, and this was his punishment.

The smaller and daintier girl began to hop over towards the associate and upon reaching Naoko, Kotone offered a slight bow of the head. "My most humble apologizes for inconveniencing you with a lack of haste. But while you may doubt me in this explanation, I will not judge you if you do as it is your right, I had to be absolutely sure in hindering the fiend to which I had made sure he was. Plus while doing so I felt I was able to gather information, though at this time I do not feel as if it would be of much benefit. But to answer your question, the fiend has been taken care of in a most precise manner that will hopefully enlighten them so that they can strive to be better, or at the very least removed their intent for furthering most malicious urges and encouraging that within others. ...If I were to speculate, which forgive me I will, despite your appearance it seems like you may require assistance? If so I am willing to offer aid, however I do not mean to offend by seemingly insisting that you need aid, as it is clear you have a good handle of the situation."

"Hope that's good enough for you, I don't want to do anything too flashy before we catch our targets. Never know what can happen with real opponents, right?"

Replied Yasu as she dislocated the man's shoulders with ease. A savage move accompanied by two loud "POP" sounds that echoed across the field of battle like a whip cracking the dust, causing Sora to cringe visibly at the unnerving noise created by the attack.

"Yeah uh.... Not very flashy but ten out of ten for effectiveness"

Replied Sora, over the grunting of the man who now lay on the ground, writhing in a similar manner to his accomplice, who appeared to be playing possum, understanding his predicament among foes more powerful than he.

"You got a point about saving energy for an ene...."

Continued the ninja, trailing off, gulping as a large shadow descended over Yasu, emerging from the forest, his sillouette flickering in the light of the burning tree. He didn't know if the man was skilled, but boy was he incredibly large, standing at almost seven feet, built like the tower of a castle topped by a face cut from granite.

As the man wound up to strike Yosu, Sora created a slip stream, catapulting himself towards the man through the pressure differential he had created, landing a hard hit to the center of the man's, for some reason, shirtless chest, using all of his might to send him flying backwards to the treeline from where he had emerged moments before....

But he did not.

Even. Move. An inch.

Bewildered, Sora looked up at the freak of nature. Sure, his skill was probably that of a back alley brawler, but his size was absolutely novel, a true unit who, with a hard shove, sent the speedster back five or six feet, careening as he attempted to maintain balance.

"I think we might have that real opponent after all"

Quipped Sora as he withdrew his Trench knives again, matched by the mountain of a man who withdrew a pair of brass knuckles from his trouser pockets.

Used to enjoying the quick, satisfying rush of a numbers-backed asswhooping, the genin brawler barked orders/pleas at whatever friends of his might still be standing in this mess to in so many words goddamn help him and get the bitches off of him. Only then did he notice that two of them were nowhere to be seen. What the hell had happened to them? The reply came in the form of an extended, terrified shriek from somewhere in the thick of the trees, followed by the body of one of the bandits bursting from within the woods and ragdolling across the dirt straight into the back of the brawler's legs. The other one soon came through the thicket as well, this time crashing limply against Big Yu's back.

"Sit yer asses down, small fry. You ain't trained near hard enough to be out here acting like big dick men".

The source of the voice wasn't hard to find. The spotless white clothes practically shining in the dead of night, the massive distinctive pompadour poking ahead, it was bizarre that such a figure would go essentially unnoticed but best not dwell on that right now. Riki Anjo was raring for a fight with someone that wasn't a total pussy, and he was all manic smiles as he gently placed down a little satchel and cast off his long white coat to reveal a perfectly chiseled upper body, every fiber of his corded steel muscles tensing and veins popping in anticipation as he stepped in front of Big Yu in place of his allies. "Alright ya son of a bitch! The name's Riki Anjo and I'mma teach ya not to fuck with people! Lets do this, you and me!".

Niji smiled when he saw the bandits, hopefully it would help him forget about being apart of such a large squad. Watching the others fight he began to perform hand signs and jumped up into air. "Ice Release: Frozen Capturing Field" As he performed the last sign and was about to land a thick sheet of ice rushed out across the ground in all directions. Landing on the ice safely due to small spikes on the bottom of his shoes he looked around to evaluate the damage, he didn't really consider that the others weren't used to fighting on ice. Yasu was stunned by the sudden appearance of the giant before her. "The hell do they feed you?!" She questioned, but the giant lump of a man responded with his fist rather than words. Now, Yasu probably could have taken the hit, she also probably could have dodged it, but the sheer size of the man had her distracted. Or rather, the freakish size of his nipples had her attention now. Who looks in a mirror, sees that their chest looks like that, and decides that no, they do not need to cover those things up? Apparently this guy did.

The loud smack of Sora's fist on the mountain of a man's chest snapped Yasu out of her thoughts and into the real world. "Sora?! Do you see those things?! What are they?!" In the time it took her to avert her gaze from the man's unfortunate chest, he quickly slipped a pair of knuckle dusters onto his massive ham-like hands and... Wait, where did he find brass knuckles that big? Shaking the thought out of her head, she leapt forward as the mountain of the man swung at Sora's head with enough force to easily send it flying over the horizon. Knowing what her only option was, she kicked Sora in the hip to get him out of the way and then quickly threw her arms up to block the wild swing of the man.

As she flew through the air, she took a moment to enjoy the sights. For example, she passed by a rather cool looking moth. Maybe this is the stuff Kotone was talking about earlier, sure it wasn't a proper butterfly but moths are basically the same thing. But what was really interesting, was the new challenger that appeared to take on the extra large bandit. "Yeah, that's cool. I really don't even want to fight that thing." She mused to herself, just moments before she finally landed.

"Oh yeah?! I'll show you just how big my dick is!" Yu bellowed as he ran at Riki Anjo with his shoulders hunched and massive fists raised in front of his face in a defensive posture. With his equally freakishly long legs he was on his opponent nearly instantly and throwing out a quick jab aimed straight for the nose.

"Well played" barked the gang leader, jumping backwards with grace, dodging the fast attack instead of blocking it with a technique, unable to because of the wind chakra's speed.

Perceiving the threat of the submerged enemy, he planted his right hand on the slick ground, forcing it into the depths of the swampy battlefield before calling out "Earth style, Earthquake Jutsu!"

As he did so, the mobile core began to shake violently, sending rocks tumbling below towards the evolving battlefield giving cause for the earthbound ninja and henchmen to dodge and duck from time to time to avoid the rubble.

Inside the core, evacuating the mud, Suba and her summon Shirudo where put into a blender as the earth shook around them. Thankfully the slug protects her from much of the damage.

With the ground churning still, the boss clutched to another seal, this one chaining into two others, summoning earthen tubes from the ground, each one glowing a dull red, containing balls of condensed fire that, when released, would fire like cannonballs towards their mark at a high speed.

After a moment, said fire balls launched from their tube (6 balls of fire, 3 to Kloudy Kloudy , 3 to Kakashi who uses a water style wall to defend as he begins channeling chakra for a chidori, fire balls are at level 2 speed, you'll be ite g)

"Well God damn" Sora sighed, blindsided by the kick, collecting himself right as a sheet of ice spread across the battlefield.

Using chakra to control his movements, stabilizing on the slick of the ice before looking around at the battlefield which had evolved into pure madness.

What had seemed like a small platoon sized group of raiders had seemingly multiplied as enemies poured in from the treeline, having been alerted to the conflict through some signal unperceived by the group, and because of this, the ninja were now outnumbered, but not outmatched as the funneling opponents were of Genin level at maximum, many of lower stock.

Sora jumped into action, Slipstreaming upwards to a tree branch, using it as a spring board to launch himself downward towards a pair of enemies who stood little chance as the blur sliced each one down their backs with wind chakra enhanced Trench knives.

With a spin he faced two more opponents, and using the knuckle guards of his knives and his high speed he landed several quick blows to the two, leaving them in piles.

He is the key huh? That one up on the core. If bet if he gets done in the rest would probably scatter. Until then... I guess more of these idiots will keep on keeping on.

Thought Sora, marose as he dispatched another low level enemy before being met with the facade of an ex ninja, face bandaged completely, arms wrapped in spiked chains, dripping with purple liquid, presumably poison.

"Your gang doesn't stand a chance my man, turn around, get out of here and take these idiots with you, save me the trouble, please"

Sora said, hoping to rile the man with bravado.... Or perhaps send him packing back to the forest.

Shizuka Shinrai
(Unknown Forest Path - Earth Platform)

“Suba!”

Shizuka grit his teeth knowing full well that his old squad mate was trapped beneath the ground as the earthquake raged below, but there was nothing he could do. Still midair, he glanced down to notice he actually had his own problems to be worrying about. Three decently sized fireballs were rocketing his way with decent speed, and out the corner of his eye he noticed three more heading towards Kakashi.

“Those jutsu seals are damn annoying.”

[Kawarimi no Jutsu]

As the fireballs came, Shizuka did not react and instead just hung frozen in midair. The fireballs impacted on his body violently, small explosions. It all but appeared as though he had perished to the attack, but after a short delay there was a puff of smoke. Falling to the damaged earth platform was instead a burning log of wood. Shizuka now stood a good few feet between Kakashi and the enemy leader unharmed, his substitution ninjutsu having saved him from the fireballs.

Now came the counterattack: jogging forward, Shizuka steadily approached his opponent all the while watching his target’s eyes intently. Although he was worried about Suba, he had to ensure the team was successful or more people would get hurt as a result. As he drew close, Shizuka waited for the moment the enemy chuunin blinked before executing [Tenmetsu Suteppu] with practiced perfection. Sharply sprinting forward as his enemy closed his eyes, he would appear to have teleported forward when their eyes opened again. Now directly in front of the man with the element of surprise, hopefully have caught his target off guard, Shizuka bent one knee to bring his body low to the ground. Simultaneously, he brought his other knee to his chest to set up the kick, the whole movement taking less than a second to perform. With proficient power, he then pistoned his legs out, one to propel his body up and the other to lash out at the other chuunin, aiming to crush his head with the kick. The aim was to fluster his opponent into panicking and backing up further, pushing him to the edge of the platform where Suba’s clone could potentially do something.

"Son of a!!!"

Exclaimed Koren, the kick connecting on the side of his head, sending him backwards to the edge of the cliffside once more as he stumbled, flustered and reeling but not seriously injured by the attack.

"You sure are fast for a kid, but I'm just warming up! You and the rest of your gang AREN'T LEAVING HERE ALIVE!"

He screamed, enraged at being hit so solidly by an opponent so young. Not thinking through his actions anymore, he consolidates his chakra, charging up to unlock a dozen seals at once to turn the battlefield into a maze of Jutsu, sure to connect with the irritatingly fast opponent and his comrades, even the one below. It would leave him drained but not exhausted, as the seals contained the lion share of the required chakra but it still required time to unlock so many techniques at once.

Despite this, he judged, based on the distance between him and his opponent, that he would have enough time to unleash his ultimate attack despite it being a rather slow process in relation to ninja techniques and movement speed.

Kakashi finishes charging his Chidori, but there is a large gap between him and his opponent, and if anyone is in prime position to disrupt the attack, and perhaps end the fight, it is Suba who still lurks, waiting for a moment to strike.

Kotone stared in a bit of surprise, she couldn't help but keep her mouth agape and blinked a few times. How did that man with the pompadour achieve such a level of stealth? Shihashi rubbed her eyes just to confirm that yes this figure made himself known out of the blue, alongside another tall figure as they proceeded to lay arms on each other. The one lacking the pompadour and a shirt, why do people do such things, let out another challenging war-cry after...

...There was a distinctive pang as a figure was flying through the air as a result of the strike. Agasp Kotone placed her hands against her cheeks as she did a double take towards Naoko. "Excuse me, I am aware it is impolite to leave before an answer but, I trust you can understand this situation needs me to erm - act rather quick if something is to be done. Of course I will still offer aid if need be, but I still admit it was rude to assume that you need help when it looks like you have the situation covered and, oh deary this is like one of the situations of the court which requires a quick decision where you cannot quite go into all the necessary details to analyze and properly determine what the correct course of action is. This is one of those where you must listen to the instinct of your beating heart and rely strictly on that, which is generally not how I'd like to do things, but in this situation I see no other alternatives soo..." remarked Kotone in a, well, bit faster pace than she usually gave for such dialogue pieces.

With her face reddened and parts of her face quivering, Kotone gave a quick but deep bow while clasping her palms together. "I beg of you to forgive me for the actions I will take that will not be hasty for helping you, as you have scolded me for, but I feel we must understand that the beating of my heart is for the just path!" For a few shorter beats she remained in the bowing position towards Naoko before raising her torso back up from the bow and gazing towards the rainy sky. The Shihashi did not have much time based on the trajectory of how Yasu was flying. The expression on her face changed from a typically plain and humble one to a steely gaze of determination; in Kotone's heart of hearts she knew that she had to at least try regardless of how successful it would be.

And so the kunoichi began rushing towards the presumed, at least where Kotone figured the landing would be based upon where she saw Yasu and how she was barreling through the sky. Kotone began rushing to the spot, hoping that the blitz would not involve her yet as - well she didn't really think this plan through apart from trusting the beating of her heart to guide her. And so Kotone stood upon the ground looking up to verify that, Yasu would be descending this way. Kotone gritted her teeth and held out her arms, which were shaking wildly as she had no damn idea how this was going to work out.

"Oh heavens, I know I do not ask you for guidance or requests much, but please let your metaphorical shooting star not really, really damage me upon impact...Let the beating of my heart not have guide me to misjudgment..." Kotone sort've prayed as she awaited the landing of Yasu

Just moments before landing, he twisted her body hoping she could quickly spring up off the ground. It was a good plan she thought, what could possibly go wrong with it? Well for starters, she looked up to see Kotone in front of her. "Shit." She crashed into the poor girl and their bodies quickly tangled as they rolled and bounced along the forest floor. Yasu was scared to open her eyes or even move as she could feel that her arm was caught somewhere in Kotone's loose kimono and her long scarf, which in retrospect may have been a poor choice, was caught somewhere. Yasu didn't want to risk moving her hand and touching something she shouldn't be touching.

When she finally opened her eyes, she saw Kotone's face an inch away from her own and her scarf wrapped around them both, holding them in this position. "Shit! Shit shit shit, Kotone I know this looks bad but I'm not trying to do anything I swear! Hey, are you ok? Shit, do I ask someone to help us or do I do this myself? C'mon Kotone, wake up already." Where were they anyway? Try as she might, Yasu couldn't get enough slack in her scarf to get a better look at her surroundings. Would the others be able to find them wherever they were? Did Yasu even want to be found like this? She honestly didn't know, both outcomes seemed pretty horrible. Wait, what if they both returned to the others only for the fighting to be over? Would they look at the state of their clothes and assume the worst? "Kotoneeeeeeeee!"

Naoko Aoki

Whilst applying further pressure to the blade to push her opponent lower towards the dirt, Naoko was distracted as a lilting voice began to speak. The younger shinobi's gaze shifted to observe her peer gracefully approach, the dark haired woman’s delicate gestures and curious manner of speech eerily fitting and perturbing at the same time. Her tone was unexpectedly formal and detached, as though one were speaking of pleasant nothings rather than mentally reaming her opponent, though she clearly had a different opinion on what she was accomplishing. It shouldn’t have caught her off guard- part of being a shinobi was to expect the unexpected after all, and appearances were deceptive more often than not. Yet the kunoichi was still slightly taken aback, but tried to mask her surprise with a nervous chuckle. “No offense taken, Miss- I appreciate the offer, and your efforts to rehabilitate these deviants are… admirable. If you’ll just allow me a moment though.”

The woman offered another soft-spoken reply, one which Naoko struggled to discern. "Excuse me, I am aware it is impolite to leave before an answer but, I trust you can understand this situation needs me to, erm-" She was aware that her colleague continued to speak, but whatever words spoken after that point were lost to her ears as the thug bellowed a loud and abrupt “HAH!” and suddenly lunged in an upwards motion and shoved aside the greatsword. Stepping away and motioning her peer to do the same, it was only then that Naoko realized that the beguiling creature had flitted off to assist another. Glancing in her direction, one couldn't miss the sudden wave of goons bursting from the tree-line and into the clearing, and she was not the only one to take note. As her opponent dragged himself back onto his feet, he gestured towards the approaching swarm cockily, a smug grin planted onto his visage. It seems he’s gotten a second wind, or else was feigning weakness to catch us off guard… that’s what I get for idle chatter in the midst of a fight, She thought sourly to herself as she observed the oaf. “Heh, you punks don’t know who you’re messing with, do you? Koren might be the boss, but that doesn’t mean you can take the rest of us lightly!” He boasted before charging forth once more towards her, winding his arm back to throw a sucker punch. With two hundred pounds of momentum behind him the goon sprinted in a furious rampage-

Only to be stalled mid-punch as Naoko twisted to the side and wedged her body into the safe pocket between his arm and chest, the massive sword unceremoniously stabbed into the earth to free her hands. With a precision gained only from experience, the kunoichi’s fingers wrapped around the extended limb’s wrist before ducking underneath to his backside and forcing the arm into a bent gridlock. The look in her eyes was flat as she forcefully pulled the man’s arm downwards, dragging the stunned figure in the process. The snap was audible as the joint dislocated, and as he tumbled a foot rose to smack into the floating ribs of the abdomen. Releasing her grip and stepping back to survey the damage, the blue-haired woman retrieved her blade. “Mmm, I wouldn’t be so sure about that- I can’t say your display was very convincing.”

“Just you wait… when my brother gets here, he’s gon-” he began to say, but was abruptly cut off as the hilt of the sword forcefully hit the back of his head, and without further ado tumbled into the arms of Morpheus.

“Mm, what was that? Please don't leave me in suspense.” Naoko muttered dryly, leaning over the hulking being to press a finger against one of the bulging veins. She was no medic, but there was a pulse at least, so there was one less casualty to worry about. Maybe if time allowed it, her good-natured acquaintance would seek to 'convert' this one too towards the path of retribution... or not. With that settled, the leaf-in proceeded in the direction of the ongoing fray, weapon at the ready. A few hooligan's sought to challenge her during her approach, racing forth wildly with knives, clubs, or simply their fists at the ready. But these were not trained or experienced fighters- more akin to human-sized rag dolls than warriors of any merit, hurling themselves at any target in range with the grace of a toddler. They were dispatched as such, one smooth swing of the sharpened edge after the other as it slide across skin and flesh like a bread knife gliding through butter. Such drama-queens, the lot of them- stumbling over themselves like they'd been mortally wounded, as though it were their final moments in this world. It was likely the shock more than anything clouding their heads: they'd bleed out for a while, get a bit woozy, but it was hardly worth the antics they put on. No, at this point this lot seemed to be more of a time-consuming annoyance than a legitimate threat.

In the midst of this chaos however came a distressed cry piercing through the din. "Kotoneeeeeee!" Her attention drawn to the sound, the kunoichi searched the sea of moving bodies until she caught sight of a crumpled pair at the edge of the field, recognizing both woman from the squad, including the ingenue she'd been conversing with only minutes ago. Making her way through the ruckus to the pair, Naoko came to realize that the two were lying on top of each other in what one might deem an... intimate position. Averting her gaze as much as possible, the swords-woman took a defensive stance in front of the duo, blade at the ready should anyone attempt to capitalize on this moment of weakness. "Are you alright? What happened?" She asked, her tone unintentionally stern as she tried to hide her discomfort.

There was a brief glimmer of despair as Kotone realized the situation she put herself into as she saw Yasu crashing down towards her. Why did I listen to the beatings of my heart instead of allowing my head to judge the situation and formulate a plan of action? That was the primary thought that occurred to Shihashi, alongside a brief reflection of maybe she should've stuck to being a courtier. After all what were the chances she would've had to deal with a situation like this? It's not like one of the diplomats would've gotten in a fist fight with another representative present and cause them to be sent flying.

So when Kotone now actually saw Yasu flying straight at her knowing that, there was nothing the two could do to stop this situation, Kotone wrinkled her nose, gritted her teeth and shut her eyes while trying to look away.

And that's when Kotone had her lights knocked out, so to say. The kunoichi didn't immediately notice that her body was bouncing around with Yasu as if they were a pair of rag-dolls on the muddier forest floor. Nor did she realize how damn tangled their bodies got intertwined due to, well a probably poor choice going in with, a loose fitting kimono. Not to mention Yasu's scarf helped in further entwining the kunoichis.

So there Kotone was stuck underneath Yasu in an awkward position with their faces almost nose to nose, blissfully unaware of the situation while Yasu was forced to deal with the heavy-lifting of trying to explain exactly what had happened. Which to be fair to Yasu, maybe, just maybe her heavy-lifting in explanation would be able to do a better job than Kotone did at attempting to catch her peer. But for now the situation could seem okay, maybe, just maybe Kotone would be stuck in a period of unaware bliss and Yasu could find a way to weasel them out of the situation and the two could pretend this never happened.

Unfortunately the ignorance of bliss usually does not last forever. There is always some light of knowledge that peaks in and causes havoc, which in this case was the screaming of Yasu right in front of her face. And as if as if on cue, Kotone began to slowly awaken as her eyes still appeared to be wanting to be in that dreamy trance.

"Huuuu-" began Kotone as she obtained awareness of the situation. Her eyes looked up at the really, really close face of Yasu while not recognizing that Naoko was even present. To be fair, generally observation skills while stuck in such a situation tended to get shafted. This of course would be a problem and would probably not help make the situation look better to the newcomer.

"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!!" shrieked out Shihashi as her face quivered with intense emotions as her pupils wobbled, while her face was completely red. Kotone began wiggling from side to side, not helping Yasu in her task of trying to stay still while bursting out into tears. "I-I'M A GENTLE FLOWER! A DELICATE FLOWER, AN- AN NONONONONONOOOOOO! WHAT WOULD MY FU-FUTURE HUSBAND SAY TO ME NOW!? AN-AN-NOW! BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" cried out Kotone.

Aaaah, what an idiot...

Even if Big Yu was fast for his size, charging wildly through stepping distance at someone well on guard wasn't a smart move unless you really knew what you were doing and who you were doing it against. Rather than avoid the obvious blow, however, Riki stepped straight towards the charging man. There's two ways to make attacks ineffective, you see. Being too far away is the obvious one, but one can also be too close and smother a technique. Riki stepped to the charging man and in doing so threw off his timing which in turn messed with his footing, without proper footing the weight transfer was off, and the already lessened punch met resistance before the elbow was fully extended and the fist properly clenched.

And how do you take a blow? You create an unequal collission, you protect the vulnerable bits such as the nose, eyes, temples and chin and force the frail human fist to contend with a hard mass of bone. Anjo dipped his knees slightly, braced himself and made sure to project the top of his dome towards the fist, twisting slightly to make sure Yuuma landed not properly centered but mainly with his pinky. The disgusting crack of brass knuckles meeting flesh and bone rang out, but the cheer of the bandits for their big boy died out before it could leave their throats. Unlike any before, Riki Anjo had not crumpled. Riki Anjo still stood, a slight trickle of blood pouring from his mostly intact, impossibly hard skull and boot leather skin.

Big Yu stared at the source of the cracking sound. His wrist had been limp on impact and was now limper still, bent at an unnatural angle. His pinky finger had seemingly sunken into his hand, which was beginning to swell from the clear fracture of the fifth metacarpal that now threatened to poke its way out from within. It was a new pain for the man whose fists and physical gifts had carried him through a veritable life of shit, and he could only gasp in horror and tightly grasp his now useless hand. It suited Riki just fine to let him stand there in shock, because he himself was still a wee bit rocked. Sum bitch had a punch for sure, but the slight pause in the action let his audience drink it all in. Big Yuu was done.

Now this was a performance. Making a point to loudly crack his neck, Riki approached his adversary and let a single question hang in the air: "That all?". The man mountain stared at the kid, still lost in shock and disbelief, and didn't answer. It was doubtful he even understood what was happening. Another loud snap rang out in the forest and many of the bandits gasped. The disrespect! Their big boy still stood dumbfounded but his eyes were clear once more, staring at the bastard little ninja that had dared slap him clean across the face. With an anguished, furious cry, accompanied by the encouragement of his peers, Yuuma the Mountain reared back his healthy hand and took his hardest swing.

But Riki wasn't there anymore. The more you rear back the more open you are. The young wrestler had easily moved around and under the swing, lacing an arm around the massive man's hips for control, planting his feet and firmly clasping his other hand to finish the bodylock. Time seemed to stop as Yuuma's feet left the ground. The brawler tried to peel the steel pythons around his waist to no avail, his legs kicked around the air as he went up, up, up in what felt like dreadfully slow motion. Then the whistling of air in his ears, the stars and the moons whizzing past in the sky, the trees seemingly inverting in this mad rush as he travelled through the air in an unnatural head-first arch. Then, impact!

Kotone screaming into Yasu's face shouldn't have been a surprise, after all Yasu did it to her. But Yasu just didn't think she was capable of raising her voice that much, and her squirming and rubbing against her certainly didn't help the situation. "Kotone! You have to stop moving, you're not helping me out." Yasu's face had turned a bright shade of red at this point and she knew she had to get out before things got worse for her. Trying desperately to steady her breathing, she begun to slowly pull her hand out of Kotone's robes, but a sudden jerk on her part caused her delicate flesh to brush against Yasu's hand. This caused a very sudden and drastic reaction from Yasu as she quickly yanked her hand away and with both hands, yanked her scarf off and fell back away from poor Kotone. "I didn't... H-Hey Kotone? I didn't, you know, touch you right? I mean I can't tell because I have zero feeling in my hands so even if I did touch you, it's not like I did it. It's more like someone else did, right?" Yasu's hands could feel, but maybe Kotone would believe her. It's not like she had any reason to doubt her, the whole thing was just one big accident.

But at least now that she was free she could look around and see where they ended up and... Someone was there. She saw everything. "H-Hey, umm... Yeah, so this? We weren't doing it. Like, not even close to doing it. So... Let's not talk about this, alright? Because nothing happened to talk about." Yasu knew the other girl wouldn't believe her and her weakening voice certainly didn't hide it. She'd likely tell everyone that Yasu was some kind of depraved pervert that dragged allies off into the woods to have her way with them even though it wasn't even true! They'd hate her for sure, especially for doing this during a fight. "Wait! The battle? Is it still going on?! Is everyone alright?!"

Niji Yuki
Theme: The Eye of The Storm
Niji smiled as he watch his target go down after succumbing to bleeding. Looking around for a new opponent he noticed that more bandits seemed to be coming through the trees. Noticing a small group coming toward him he began performing hand signs before thrusting his hand forward. "Ice Release: Radiant Dragon Blizzard" As his hand was thrust forward a massive dragon formed from ice rushed toward the group, the light shining through the dragon creating a rainbow of colors as the group was knocked backwards. Placing a hand on the frozen ground Niji channeled his chakra through the ice causing it to expand around the bandits before they could get back up, encasing them in an icy prison. Once sure the enemy wouldn't be getting back up he turned his attention to one of the original group that seemed to be leader, watching to see if there was any secret to the man's technique.
