Name: Saito Senju

Physical build: Saito is 6 foot, very slender, and yet at the same time quite muscular. His body is littered with scars and marks, showing the amount of physical abuse he's put his body through to get where he is now.

Personality: Saito is a very fun loving and playful person, seen as in many fights he'll dodge attacks while poking fun and playing rock paper scissors, but as such is also an example of how alert he is of his surroundings. He likes to play games, and loves to fight, especially when he's fighting for something he believes in. Something as well about him though, is his analytical side. To most he's just a weird go he plays around too much, but the truth is that he thinks carefully about his actions before he takes them. He doesn't like going into battles blind, and is good at thinking up plans and strategies in a moments notice.

Background: Saito is the son of Haku Sarutobi and Tenji Senju, Tenji being one of the few remaining Senju alive. Saito inherited two things from them. From his father, he inherited his fathers strong body and chakra reserves. While from his mother, Haku, he inherited her will of fire, her strong desire to protect the village and her comrades. Both were strong Shinobi in their own right, but Saito took them for granted. He saw being a Shinobi as just another job to be done, and didn't take school very seriously, although he has much natural talent most of it was wasted in his early years. Only ever really trying if he had to. Even when he became a Genin he didn't take things seriously, granted most missions were just finding lost animals. He was not the strongest in his class, but wasn't too low either. He was... The "eh" student. Just enough. He ignored his mother when she spoke of the will of fire and ignored spending time with his father when he tried to teach him Jutsu.

But Saitos world came to a crashing halt when, three years ago, the nine tails was attackee. He hid in a bunker under his parents house, of which they ordered him to stay until they came to get him, but he had seen the beast. It's nine tails waving so dangerously. He had sworn, it looked him in the eye. He awaited for his parents. But they would never get him. Instead he was retrieved two days after the incident, by his uncle Itoua Senju. Just by his uncle's expression though, he could tell... His parents were dead. Saito was left with a half destroyed home, books and scrolls left to him, and an empty hole in his heart. The only release he found was training, of which he did a lot of.

It wasn't until recently did he finally take a look in the bunker he was originally put in, most of the things there were journals, picture books, memories... But there was also scrolls that held the Hidden technique created by his grandfather, of which his mother tried so hard to get him to learn along with his father.

Primary and Secondary Nature type: Fire/Wind

Main weapons: A silver bo staff passed down through the Sarutobi clan, he inherited it from his now dead Sarutobi mother. It's made of the same metal as Chakra Blades, becoming an extent of the user as they absorb Chakra and can emit the users Chakra, and much so, Chakra Nature. When he uses this Bo staff, it naturallly absorbs his fire style, although can also do the same for wind. Heating up the surrounding area or causing wind to flow around him.

Go to techniques/Fighting style:
Itf Taekwondo: This fighting style is a combination of the fighting styles he learned a child from his father, one of the things he payer attention to, and the combat style taught to him by his uncle. Each one taking part in making up for each other's weaknesses.
- Third stance Hwechook: In this technique he spins around the target quickly, releasing a powerful kick to the sides I the opponents head. This is a very danger technique, that when done effectively shakes the opponents brain around their skull so vigorously it causes long lasting affects. Although he has yet to get the correct stance down, and most of the time ends up missing the first one. Which is why he instead uses a weaker version of it, which applies three kicks like the former, but this time hits the leg, then the abdomen, and finishing at the chest, instead creating more physical trama than anything too dangerous.
- Enlightenment: Enlightenment uses the users keen eyesight and observation to predict the enemys attacks. And then reacts upon those predicted movements. It requires great observation skills and focus, and as such, the less focused one is the worse the predictions. With this ability he normally uses Enlightenment when watching battles take place, or when training to help aid his own skill.
- Heaven Earth Strike: A powerful downward kick, that at full strength is able to break stone.
Fire Release: Inferno Kick - Super heating the surrounding air with a change in fire nature, the user kicks forward so fast the friction creates flames, and guides the flames with the foot, sending a blade like flame flying at enemies, burning on contact.
Body Flicker Technique: Saito uses this Jutsu mid battle in many situations, speed being one of his strong areas, and his most favored next to technique.
Fire Style: Fox flame Jutsu - Kneading chakra into his stomach, Saito spits out a large head of a fox made of flames, which bit onto the opponent and explode into flames on contact.
Will of Fire: A developing Jutsu, this is technically a branch of Fire release, although not like a Kekkei genkai. The will of Fire Jutsu are fire based Jutsu that use wind to sub increase their power, but also are driven by the users Will of Fire. He has technically yet to even make the Jutsu, Will of Fire is more of a concept in young Saitos head. One he wishes to bring to fruition some day.


Hidden techniques:
Borrowed Power - A hiden technique created by his Grandfather, and used by his mother. This technique allows one to borrow power from other individuals after forming a binding contract with them. This technique utilizes the binding contract made from a summoning Jutsu, and draws power from that to connect the two individuals, with one utilizing and, well, "borrowing" power from them. Though there are limits to this, as the amount of borrowed powers one can have is limited by how many summons they have. And one can not use more than one at a time, also the subject that has its power borrowed must be in line and be able to work well with the user. This hiden Jutsu is also technically a collaboration Jutsu, since both sides must collaborate for the Jutsu to work Although utilize this, he has yet to, since he hasn't found a summon that he feels connected to.

Name: Niji Yuki

Age: 16

Physical build: Niji is 5'10" and possesses a slim yet muscular body. His body is mostly unscarred aside from a gash on his chest.

Personality: Niji can be pretty distant and cold at times. This doesn't stop him from being extremely loyal to his friends and teammates. He is a bit of a loner so he's not too comfortable with large groups of people or strangers. He still tries to be kind when he can so he doesn't seem nearly as cold but it's a struggle.

Background: Niji was born on the outskirts of the Land of Snow. He had a pretty happy childhood, up until the night his family's home burned down with his parents inside. Niji had been staying at a friends home so he was the only survivor. No one was able to determine if the fire was an accident or arson but Niji was quickly sent him to an orphanage. During his stay at the orphanage he was taught a few Ice Release techniques that used existing ice and snow by the owner, not knowing about the child's kekkei genkai. When he was old enough to enter a ninja academy he chose to be sent to Konohagakure for further training.
As Niji trained he was surprised when his kekkei genkai fully awakened, allowing him to perform the jutsu he knew without the aid of snow. This helped a lot in his training as he was able practice techniques that he wouldn't normally be able to use in Konohagakure. When he graduated he chose to stay in Konohagakure instead of going back home to the Land of Snow. He had more friends there than back home, plus he didn't have any loved ones to go home to.
Niji enjoyed his time as a ninja and was an excellent addition to his squad. When it came time fore his to take the chunin exam he managed to pass first try but was severely injured in the final round. He had to stay in the hospital for several weeks before he was well enough to be released. While in the hospital he was afraid his squad had replaced him so he was surprise to learn that his squad hadn't even taken any missions since his injuries when he got out of the hospital. He now spends most of his time training when he isn't on a mission, wanting to be prepared when the time comes to take the jonin exam.

Go to techniques/Fighting style: Niji likes to keep his distance in combat, freezing the ground and launching projectiles to keep his opponents off balance. When forced into a close combat situation he will usually channel ice chakra into his limbs so that every landed hit has a high chance of causing severe frost bite in the location that was hit. He will also drop the temperature of the area around him causing near instant snow to fall, lowering visibility.

Physical build:
Slender but well built, Shizuka shows the well-trained muscles of a skilled taijutsu user yet possesses a more lithe frame built for sharp speed rather than overwhelming power. He can still give and take a punch easily, but his true strength lies in his agility and speed.

Personality:
Shizuka is an intelligent individual, however he doesn't apply his talent and prefers to act in a more lax manner. While polite enough, Shizuka is not particularly reliable when asked to run errands and his social skills are not entirely diplomatic, often accidentally offending others with his "say it how it is" no-filter honesty. Of course, he gets along with others thanks to his odd sense of humour and even odder interest in the other gender as of late. When things get serious, Shizuka is a pragmatic pessimist that looks at things from a completely logical point of view, exercising his impressive intelligence with striking plans and promising tactics. Unfortunately, this also sometimes causes Shizuka to simply give up in the face of overwhelming odds as he does not possess that fiery drive and motivation to press on through thick and thin.

Go to techniques/Fighting style:
Tenmetsu Suteppu (Blink Step) - A skilful purely taijutsu ability to surprise attack an aware enemy. The user waits for their opponent to blink, look away or lose focus. As this occurs, the user swiftly and suddenly moves forward with extreme speed to close the distance. To the opponent, the user appears to have teleported directly in front of them and causes them to be caught off guard. This is particularly useful for sudden preemptive attacks as the user holds the element of surprise during their attack, flustering and panicking their opponent to hinder their ability to react. By timing the move consistently well, the user may chain this to surprise opponents multiple times with their sharp movements, appearing to be blinking about their vision erratically. This move only requires exceptional perception and timing to execute.

Tatsumaki Gyakuten (Tornado Reversal) - An advanced taijutsu that is difficult to counter and can incapacitate unwitting opponents easily with powerful kicks. The user jumps up in the air vertically, spinning and twisting their entire body at extreme speed midair in front of an opponent. The user then completes the rotating airborne manoeuvre with a vicious kick, adding the full force of the spin to deal incredible damage to the enemy. If the initial kick is dodged, the user will continue to spin midair and execute multiple rotating kicks until it lands or the user falls back to the ground. If the initial, or any, kick is blocked or connects with the opponent, the user uses their target’s body as a pivot point for their kicking foot to spin their body around once more and deliver an even more devastating kick to the head. Chakra is infused into this last kick and has the ability to outright break the opponents neck from the sheer force of it. The user then falls back to the ground after the move is complete. Such a move is particularly intensive on the user’s body and stamina as well and therefore they will be noticeably more fatigued directly after executing the jutsu.​

Furīzunīdoru (Freezing Needle) - A masterful taijutsu that uses powerful perception, accuracy and speed to shut down opponents in a precise manner. The user must use their fingers to quickly press or pinch various nerves on the opponent’s body, removing access to certain body parts or functions as a result. This jutsu is capable of deadening arms or legs, slow physical reactions (not mental, i.e. your body reacts slower than your brain), stopping the use of hand seals, restricting breathing, causing nausea and even knocking the target unconscious. The user requires incredible reflexes or predictive abilities, focus, speed and precision with their strikes in order to hit the correct nerves at the right time whilst engaging an opponent. Very skilled taijutsu users may block these attempts with a decent degree of success if they are familiar with the style.

Furīzunīdoru: Senbon (Freezing Needle: Senbon) - A masterful taijutsu that performs in the exact same manner as the previous taijutsu, but instead of using their fingers the user utilises senbon sticks to press the nerves of an opponent. Extremely skilled users can shut down and paralyse opponents from a long distance through using their incredible precision and predictive abilities.

Hidden techniques/Bloodline Trait:
Wind Release:
Tokutoku (Poisoned Vacuum) - The user performs several hands seals and then slams both palms together, using wind chakra to tightly compress a mass of air between his palms. Using their wind chakra, the user removes most of the oxygen from this compressed air for several seconds and then swiftly holds this to a target's mouth and nose. Unless the target is intentionally holding their breath, they will be made immediately unconscious due to the "poisoned air" they have inhaled.

Tsukigiri (Moon Slash) - The user gathers wind chakra in their arms or legs and compresses it into a thinner form. The user then throws forth the chakra at a target to produce a thin crescent-shaped blade of chakra at incredible speed. This technique despite requiring no hand seals can heavily damage the target's body, even chopping off limbs, and can penetrate through trees easily.

Sound Release:
Sairentokatto (Silent Cut) - A simple nintaijutsu technique similar to Tsukigiri that involves coating one's hands or feet in chakra. The user then vibrates this chakra quickly, causing any opponents nearby to struggle to predict/react to the strikes delivered from these hands or feet. Because the strikes generate no sound (as it is absorbed into the chakra itself) and appear to flicker/shift erratically from a visual standpoint, a target cannot rely on their senses to perceive the user's strikes properly and thus are disadvantaged in a hand to hand fight. Additionally, due to the vibrating chakra, the user's strikes are incredibly sharp and can through trees.

Jishinha (Seismic Wave) - The user performs several hand seals before then placing their hands on a surface. Chakra is then passed into the surface in frequent pulses, the resulting vibrations causing the material within to be disturbed with increasing effect. On a small scale, this can begin to cause internal damage to a person after a few seconds, however it also has the potency necessary to violently displace the earth in the immediate area.

Otobunshin no Jutsu (Sound Clone Jutsu) - A simple ningenjutsu that creates a clone of the user through the use of yin chakra. The clone itself is actually a vaguely humanoid blob of chakra that uses sound genjutsu to fool nearby targets into perceiving the user instead. It is destroyed upon taking damaged, but releases a particularly loud sound that may cause slight pain to those nearby.

Kinsei Hakai (Balance Destroy) - This ninjutsu requires the user to push or otherwise throw the target off balance after performing a couple hand seals, simultaneously passing yin chakra into their body. This chakra immediately affects the eardrums and prevents the target from regaining their sense of balance for a short period, making every movement unsteady and difficult to execute.

Kyūkyoku Shijima (Ultimate Silence) - After forming the hand seals and holding the ram seal, the user coats his entire body in chakra. This chakra will absorb any sound waves released and nullified by the body, including those caused by stepping. This only affects sound emitted from the user or any sound release technique directed at them, since the sound waves get nullified. The flow of chakra is continually needed for such a technique to work.

Ekōrokēshon (Echolocation) - After performing several hand seals and building chakra in the throat, the user emits a sonar pulse of sound from their mouth. This sound bounces off physical objects in the user's immediate vicinity imperceptibly, allowing the user to detect anything nearby. Moving enemies are easier to detect than still enemies.

Name: Katsuyoshi Hanamura

Physical build: 5'10", athletic.

Personality: To those unfamiliar with his exploits, Katsuyoshi may appear mysterious, as the strong and silent type. He conceals his face under a broad, bamboo hat. He is nothing actually like this. The real Katsuyoshi is headstrong and cocky, believing that his abilities are far superior than the others, and feeling himself superior to others with his "road less traveled" mentality. He prefers doing things the unorthodox way.

Among the Leaf Chunin, Katsuyoshi has a reputation for being flirtatious, hounding after women. He seems not to discriminate by color, creed, size, or shape; he almost never passes up the opportunity to flirt with a girl. Even when he isn't actively going after one, he'll often give looks to them, and in his mind, giving each one a rating from his own person 1-10 scale. Though others may not see it, Katsuyoshi does have two limits: He will not go after obviously underaged girls, and though he will flirt with them in a joking manner, he will not after leaf kunoichi, preferring to keep relationships with them strictly professional.

Background:
If anybody asked, nobody really knew who the Hanamura clan were. If one were to guess, if someone said that they weren't ninja, the guesser would not entirely be incorrect. The Hanamura clan had not produced ninja in generations though it was Katsuyoshi's ambition since he was a child to become Hokage (believe it). He was unassuming in the academy, his results being practically dead average. When it came time to test, Katsuyoshi managed to do his clones and substitutions without much trouble given that he practiced a fair amount. The same was true for his first year as a genin, not really standing out.

Things changed for Katsuyoshi during the attack of the Nine Tailed Fox. Though he was a ninja, Katsuyoshi hid alongside the rest of his family, using his ninja techniques primarily to evacuate civilians. Though he did contribute somewhat, his passive contributions fell flat to his colleagues, some of whom had given their life in trying to capture the fox. It was because of this shame that Katsuyoshi pushed himself. Through a scroll held in his clan's basement, Katsuyoshi taught himself his clan's hidden jutsu, which had not been used in generations. He had no talent in ninjutsu, but he could still train himself in taijutsu and genjutsu. He often used genjutsu on himself, trying to withstand the illusions. Then, during the chunin exams, Katsuyoshi managed to shine through despite his bad reputation.

Primary and Secondary Nature type: No Known Nature

Main weapons:
Bokuto - Sheathed on Katsuyoshi's sash is a wooden sword held in a wooden sheathe, made to look like a proper katana while inside the sheathe. Though it is a wooden sword, the edge is sharpened to the point where, if Katsuyoshi really wanted to, he could cut with the sword.

Go to techniques/Fighting style:
As a ninja, Katsuyoshi is described to fight like a trickster. He uses a combination of clone jutsu and genjutsu to trick his opponent, using substitution jutsu alongside his speed in order to avoid actual oncoming attacks. He uses his genjutsu to lure enemies into traps or to make them believe that he is a much stronger fighter than he actually is, making an illusory copy of himself appear to copy his opponent's jutsu as a show of strength, even though nothing is actually happening. Katsuyoshi's fights are often slow and more about attrition. If someone doesn't fall into one of his traps, then he waits for his opponent to tire, pressuring him/her using illusions before going in for the final strike.

Hidden techniques/Bloodline Trait:
Mind Link - The hidden technique of the Hanamura clan. It allows the user to read surface thoughts of those within fifty meters of the user. It is a widespread link though Katsuyoshi can sever links from those whose thoughts he does not wish to hear and reconnect them later. Katsuyoshi can also communicate telepathy to any or sometimes every mind linked to his, however, this also means that any mind subject to genjutsu within the mind network subjects every other mind to the same genjutsu.

 
Sora Jinsoko, 17 years old.

Appearance

Sora wears a standard Leaf Flak Vest, it's color darkened to a grim forest green for stealth. Underneath the jacket he wears a black tunic, and black pants with standard pouches for kunai and throwing stars. He also wears a black scarf around his neck that he can use to cover his head and much of his face for increased nightime stealth.

His forehead guard (headband) is held in a slot woven onto his left shoulder.

Although there is a mask in that bottom photo, he does not wear one, only picture I could find for the outfit I wanted lol.

Physical build

5'11" 179 lbs, in good shape. He cares more for balance, flexibility and speed than raw strength, and it's reflected in his physique which is solid but not jacked up.

Personality

Sora comes from a family of ninja and has been raised to fight from a young age. Thus he is quick to stand up for himself and others, and take up arms if necessary. Because of hard training under the watchful eye of family, he has high self confidence, allowing him to operate in stressful situations, believing that he can overcome any obstacle, even if he is completely outmatched.

He is quite professional at times, but even in those moments there is an underlying streak of mischief, sarcastic wit, humor and hot headedness. That's because, by nature, he isnt a very professional person. What's made him a good ninja is that he enjoys the process of becoming a better fighter, even if the day to day humdrum and regulation of a ninja goes against his grain.

He isn't particularly charismatic, but he gets by. While not a genius mastermind, he is capably intelligent.

Sometimes he can get too worked up, eager to jump into a situation, but with time this has subsided as, through bumps and bruises, he has learned from his mistakes, and how to pick apart a situation from the outside rather than jumping right in to learn through combat exchange.

Background

Sora comes from a small clan, partnered with the Leaf since it's inception. Recently though, in the Nine Tails attack, almost half of the clan met a gruesome end.

Sora, a genin at the time, was spared the front lines, and his parents were lucky enough to escape with their lives. However, his uncle, aunt, three cousins and lastly, an older brother, were not so lucky, lost in the to the Demon Fox.

These losses, specifically the last, still weigh heavily on his mind, and he can slip into depressive moods thinking of them.

  • Improvisational, high speed Taijutsu. Uses the environment for leverage, looks to maintain verticality in a fight. Kick dominant fight style, with hand strikes being lethal finishing blows by Trench Knife.

  • Wind style attacks such as wind blades, wind bullet, and pressure manipulation. Typhoon formation is a work in progress.
  • Water style attacks such as water bullet, raging river jutsu, water blasts, water prison among others. Pressurized streams of water to cut through objects is a work in progress for him along with other high ranking water style techniques.
  • Hidden mist technique has a big place in his strategy.
  • Using his hidden technique is a central part of his style for speed, along with the body flicker technique and the hidden mist technique.
Hidden techniques/Bloodline Trait

"Slipstream" is a hidden technique possessed by Sora's family. It works by creating high speed wind currents through the air by forming pressure differentials.

These air streams can propel the user to high speeds, or can serve as a vessel for other attacks to increase their speed. In conjunction with the hidden must technique, Sora can keep opponents guessing as he picks them apart.

Name: Kotone Shihashi

Physical build: 5’2”, very dainty. Bruises easily.

Personality: Kotone is an enigma wrapped inside a riddle stuffed inside a ceremonially prepared cookie. That is to say she has layers. She presents an aloof, but not necessarily cold, front to show a tempered woman. This in turns hides a more volatile and emotional core which more described as a ‘jovial trickster’, which itself hides deep but simplistic desires that she feels the world would reject her for.

Background:

The Shihashi Clan are not usually in the business of sending out their offspring to the academy to produce ninja; the Shihashi Clan focus on the art of the more courtly affairs of the Daimyo of the Land of Fire. As such the children of Shihashi are taught more scholarly affairs and that of entertainment, which was the case for Kotone. Even though members of her clan knew she had something about her that could've followed that path of the ninja which was so popular among the clan's peers.

She was rigorously taught how to be a courtier of the realm, such as knowing proper tea rituals, how to play various instruments for entertainment and being taught a wide variety of musical instruments to entertain others. Kotone was satisfied with fulfilling her duty to the Shihashi Clan and follow much as her brothers and sisters did, until well she learned a most dreadful thing.

No it wasn’t the attack of the Nine Tails and the destruction it caused, that actually helped her. No it was the fact that she would never be able to marry if she continued down this line, and Kotone was not about to let that happen. So when the Nine Tails came out in full force, Kotone used this to venture into the world of the ninja where she could pick her own destiny.

In terms of fighting, like physical fighting, well Kotone isn’t quite good at that. When it comes to that she is quick, as she can anyway, to throw down a flash bomb and hoof it.

Though for close range she is fairly adept at attempts to manipulate targets up close to make them feel as if they have the advantage before sneaking in a Genjutsu Kiss and placing them in the world of illusions before taking the opportunity to retreat and then break out into techniques such as Paralysing Flute Genjutsu.

She is most fond of using techniques such as Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique in tandem with other such as Demonic Illusions: False Surroundings Technique, to trap the psyche of others so she can watch them and so any of her allies can finish the job.

Name: Yasu Maeda

5'7", despite appearances there's few parts of Yasu's body that can be described as soft.

Personality:
Yasu is a cheerful, but vulgar person. Some would argue too cheerful and vulgar, but she doesn't listen to people with opinions like that. Life is meant to be enjoyed without restraint because you never know when your time will come. At the end of the day, she simply doesn't see sadness as something to waste her time on and tries to encourage others to feel the same way.

Background:
Yasu, like every ninja of the Maeda family, was trained from an early age to toughen her body. Years upon years of countless objects smashed against her and smashed by her trained her physically and mentally to never flinch from strikes and to never hesitate in her own blows. What would have easily been seen as a horrible, abusive childhood was perfectly normal in her family and even when she discovered other children didn't grow up like that, she still looked back on those days fondly. In fact, she started to appreciate it even more when she realized it gave her an edge over others.

When the Nine Tailed Fox attacked the village, the Maeda family did everything they could to protect as many civilians as possible. While they did a lot to minimize loses; her father, mother, and older brother died that day, leaving her the only Maeda left alive. Despite this, Yasu was happy that they died saving people, as such a death was easily considered a worthy one.

After becoming a chunin, her team went on what should have been an easy mission, however the unknown presence of a highly skilled mercenary changed everything. When everything was finally over, only a battered, but unbroken, Yasu was left alive. When she returned to the village, she made it perfectly clear to everyone that her team, not just her, completed the mission and that her fallen friends should be celebrated rather than mourned.

Yasu carries a large supply of tiny iron balls capable of withstanding her explosive punches.

Go to techniques/Fighting style:
Yasu prefers to let her foe strike first as she's confident in her ability to take the pain and to allow her to see what her opponent is capable of before she commits to anything. Once she gets a feel for their fighting style, she begins to fight back with precisely aimed counter attacks.

Sanchin - This stance is the core element of her fighting style. It keeps her footing stable and her body has been trained to shrug off attacks that could knock lesser fighters out of their stances. While in this stance, Yasu can even withstand the recoil from her Explosion Release. Sanchin in action.


Hidden techniques/Bloodline Trait:
Explosion Release - Yasu uses this technique to create explosions that erupt out from her body when impacted.

The most basic use of this technique is to simply strike the foe, causing a devastating point blank explosion.

A more creative use of it is to strike at her surroundings or even the ground itself to send her flying in the opposite direction. While this does greatly increase the speed at which she can move, she has no real way to decelerate early if she overshoots herself.

The riskiest use of the Explosion Release, but possibly her favorite, is to allow the enemy to trigger the explosions with their own attacks. While this makes it nearly impossible for it to be avoided, it has to be used with caution as she has to be physically hit for it to do anything and while it can reflect ranged weapons, there's no guarantee they will hit anything.

Name: Masamune Kotegiri, The Blade Of Justice (Self-Proclaimed)

Physical build: Short but heavyset and built like a brick shithouse.

Personality:
Kotegiri is headstrong, independent, and more than a little dim. She hates taking orders from people, equating it with the servile relationship she rejects, and by the same token loves feeling like she's in charge, even if it's just lip service. She doesn't really understand things like subtlety or grace, opting to brute force basically every problem she's run into and, to her credit, it's been working pretty well so far.

Background: The Masamune clan have been swordsmiths since the founding of their clan centuries hence, but that is not to say they content themselves with being mere ironworkers. The art of sword-forging is simply a byproduct, a means of honing their true product: Human weapons. This is not to imply the Masamune are a martial sect, mind- their human weapons are entirely literal, servants that transform into chakra-reinforced blades of unparalleled strength and sharpness, serving by their master's side until death. Mercenaries to the core, the Masamune clan has only one sacred rule: The sword does not choose it's target. To do so would be a betrayal of both their master's trust and the clan's honor.

Kotegiri is- or rather was the daughter of the clan head; the legendary Sword Of The Hokage, Honjo Masamune. Renowned for his abilities both as the Hokage's aide and his trusted battle partner, he won the Masamune clan great admiration and influence within the village Hidden In The Leaves. Sadly, his abilities were stressed to the breaking point fighting against the Nine Tails and his sword form was shattered beyond repair. He now lies comatose in the hospital, spine irreversibly shattered. Compared to him, some would say the Hokage got off easily, merely dead rather than condemned to a lifetime of suffering.

Seeing her father in such a state instilled a deep fear into Kotegiri of being misused and someday ending up in the same state, and an even greater anger at her servile place in the world. On that day in the hospital, she made a vow: Kotegiri would hone herself, and become her own woman, cutting her own path through this world and answering to no master. She would become a blade that chose it's own targets, for it's own reasons. A blade of justice.

For all her talk of hot-blooded justice, Kotegiri's fighting style is remarkably brutal and generally involves just violently crushing the target with unrelenting lethal force, a counter-focused style that allows the enemy to cut her flesh in order to shatter their bones. A fragile weapon, after all, is no use to anyone. Additionally, due to her upbringing Kotegiri is highly skilled with most hand weapons, swords in particular.

Human Weapon Arts: Needle Prison - The user tackles their opponent, wrapping both arms around their waist, and then transforms into a iron maiden that crushes and pierces the victim all across their body.

Human Weapon Arts: Razor Wheel - The user transforms into a massive, bladed top propelled at blinding speeds by chakra, ramming into enemies and shredding them apart.

Human Weapon Arts: Strongest Shield - The user transforms into a suit of impenetrable armor with perfect hardness to defend against attacks.

    PERSONALITY: Suba Hoshi. 109 pounds of unrivaled competitiveness. To Suba life is but a grand competition that won't end until she is standing on top. The best. However, the competitive spirit only awakens when she is flustered or angered; which in of itself is no difficult task given her spotty temper depending on the situation. When at ease, Suba is a joking, kind-hearted child that inwardly enjoys being of service to others. Being one of ten identical sisters, Suba has the tendency to go above and beyond to distinguish herself from a crowd out of pure discomfort with blending into the crowd. Though she'd be hard-pressed to admit it, the kunoichi lights up when receiving compliments, or when in the presence of cuddly animals ( Cats, for example ).

    In terms of combat, Suba is still learning to control her hyper-activeness and may occasionally jump the gun depending on the situation. With a keen eye, she prioritizes observing the flow of battle / quickly accessing how wounded her comrades are to decide when, and where her services are needed. Oh..and sweets. She loves those.

To go with his jet black, complex "regent" pompadour, Riki eschews common shinobi dress in favor of an outfit typically associated with youth delinquents. He can usually be seen wearing a white long coat with black trims and no shirt on, with white cargo pants bound with matching cloth just below the knees for a ballooning effect and white tabi for footwear. Accessory-wise, he sports forehead protector badges sewn on the outside of his coat's collar and wears one for a belt buckle as well, while his midsection is wrapped with a sarashi.

Standing at 6'4'' and weighing a considerable (if relatively lean for his size) 230 pounds, Anjo is quite the physical specimen, gifted with a stupendously well developed, markedly muscular frame. He sports an enviable "inverted triangle" upper body, with a slimmer core and waist leading to a broad chest and shoulders, arms like pythons with an ape-like 84 inches of reach, powerful bull-like legs and a log for a neck. Covered in scars and conditioning marks all over, other noticeable traits are his cauliflower ears and long, prominently masculine chin.

Personality:
Riki is a creature of contradictions. On the one hand he is usually easygoing and in high spirits, a bold adventurer marching to the beat of his own drum who dislikes responsibilities but who is also kind where deserved, loyal, giving and who places himself above deceit and treachery. On the other hand, he's still at heart a violent rogue who heeds no law but that of strength, a painfully blunt and exceedingly stubborn rebel, and his belief in self reliance makes him look down on those he feels were either gifted with privileges or aren't trying hard enough to help themselves.

Background:
Riki Anjo grew up craving more than what life had given him. The son of immigrants from the Land of Iron living in a small farming village, he always had a chip on his shoulder about his position in the world and what options he had in it, always wanted more excitement, always envied the shinobi elite and resented being told such a life was out of his reach as he had no access to formal ninja training nor showed the aptitude to be considered for a training program. His frustrations led him to a life of juvenile delinquency, disregarding all authority and always getting into fights, where his size and physical gifts soon afforded him a high position amongst his peers. In this niche he was essentially content.

All attempts at discipline failed and the kid looked more and more like a lost cause, until the arrival of Big Hama. Hama had once been a well regarded taijutsu expert of the Leaf Village, employing a wrestling-based style forged through exchanges and battles with shinobi from the Land of Lightning, but due to his excentricity and political obstacles he never quite managed to stand out before a series of severe injuries forced him to retire. Not one to call it quits, he became a fairly respected freelance instructor with his own dojo, ocassionally working with the Academy when he wasn't simply venturing out to spread his teachings and find students wherever he could.

Not aware of who the one eyed old man was, Riki picked a fight with him and was promptly beaten to a pulp. Hama, however, was impressed with the youth's constitution and spirit and forcibly took him in as a student. The years of tutelage were beyond brutal, not to mention limited by regular standards, but effective. It was one long test of will and toughness, a trial by fire meant to forge boys into powerful men, and Riki was everything the wrestler desired in a student: incapable and unwilling to dabble in either ninjutsu or genjutsu, seeing them as unmanly crutches, an unbreakable little savage that valued a fistfight above all else and backed away from nothing. A perfect success story.

Against all odds, Hama managed to somewhat straighten out the problem child and formed a master-student bond with him, sponsoring his passage through the Academy where Riki's physical performance and tremendous drive to succeed/prove his testicular fortitude to others/show up entitled ninja brats let him blaze through key tests and made up for deficient scores in other areas. He wasn't a stellar student but he could batter practically anyone put in his path and that counted for something, carrying him through even the chunin test.

Fighting style:
Riki is extremely insistent that it's not taijutsu that he employs, it's wrestling, and he makes good on this statement. Anjo's fighting style is relentless, straightforward and brutal, taking full advantage of his size and strength to deliver a variety of punishing strikes and destructive throws from all positions and always pressing the attack, oftentimes eschewing defense altogether for the sake of a devastating counterattack instead. He can even perform surprisingly agile aerial maneuvers, taking impressive leaps and dives and using the environment to his advantage. Having said that, he's not particularly fond of submission holds and doesn't have a very deep bag of tricks in that field.

Unlike essentially all others, Anjo does not employ chakra for powerful techniques, his fighting style is firmly grounded in wrestling fundamentals. No magic, no shortcuts, only blood, sweat and tears. The lynchpin of the entire system is a mind-numbing regime of physical development that borders on torture, meant to push the mind and body beyond their extremes. Aside from strength and stamina the practitioner develops the physical and mental toughness needed to absorb monstrous amounts of punishment in the offensive-minded fighting style, and this comes with the added benefit of strengthening the user's mind and will and making them resistant to genjutsu.

Hidden technique:
-Kishin Riki: In moments of extreme, blood-curdling murderous rage, Riki will enter a savage state of mind that pushes him to do the most harm possible to the target of his ire in the most extreme ways. Kishin Riki is marked by Anjo's signature pompadour becoming undone with the hair cascading to the sides of his face and it signals both a significant boost in physical performance and a change in fighting style, leading him to eschew his polished wrestling arsenal in favor of brutal brawling, favoring all manner of "cheap" moves and assaulting the target with anything at hand. Kishin Riki can also be entered willingly, requiring not only undoing Riki's pompadour but also a unique pattern of facepaint as a focus tool.

Name: Naoko Aoki

Naoko’s standard attire consists of a taupe shirt, cropped grey vest, a carmine sash, dark knee length pants and standard combat shoes. Her lower arms and legs are wrapped in bandages, and often wears brown gloves over them. The kunoichi’s forehead protector is usually used to keep her bangs out of the way, or else is tied onto her upper arm. The greatsword she wields is sheathed on her back, a leather strap across her chest holding it in place. On certain occasions the grey vest is swapped with the regular green Flak vest, and in cooler climates she also wears a charcoal poncho.

Physical build: Standing at 5’5, years of training have molded the woman into a hard, sinewy figure. The kunoichi carries herself in a self-assured fashion, exuding ease moreso than arrogance.

Personality: On a day to day basis, Naoko comes across as a warm, affable individual who values duty and trust above all. She isn’t one to procrastinate or shirk her responsibilities, tackling any challenge before her with a quiet zeal. At the same time, while she prides herself in helping to support her family, she wishes she had more time to hang out with her friends. As a result of her infrequent appearances, she strives to make up for this by being more accommodating and considerate of others when she is around. In contrast to the competitive enthusiasm which many of her peers embrace, the kunoichi tends to be more relaxed and level-headed, and in conflict often seeks to mediate disputes. Honesty is her sole policy, but while her manner of speech may be candid, she tries to avoid being too harsh when possible.

While she is seldom one to direct anger at others, the chunin becomes downright frigid when someone’s recklessness threatens the safety of herself or others around her. Joking around is all well and good on one’s down time, but out in the field idiocy will not be tolerated by the kunoichi. When on a mission she takes the well-being of her comrades very seriously, sometimes to the point of being a buzzkill. Naoko doesn’t make choices with unnecessary risk when possible, and when a battle seems futile is the one willing to assess whether it’s best to fight or flee.

Background: Naoko was born in Ishigakure, her father being a shinobi of the Land of Stones whilst her mother was a kunoichi from Konohagakure. The middle child of three daughters, most of the girl’s memories of her early life are sparse yet fond. In truth though, this was a period of unrest for the small nation as both Sunagakure and Iwagakure constantly invaded the region as part of their ongoing conflict with one another. Eventually, after her sibling Fumiko was born, the kunoichi and her family relocated to Konoha in light of mounting tensions, though most of her extended relatives remained. Upon moving to the village, both Naoko and her elder sister Haruka began attending the Ninja Academy.

While violence had always been in the peripheral of her youth, the teenager found herself confronted directly by it the night the Nine-Tails struck. As a genin, the turquoise-haired girl was kept far from the worst of the fighting, assisting in evacuating the elderly and children. The family did not survive the incident completely unscathed however; in the battle, Haruka was severely injured and subsequently became paralyzed from the waist-down, ultimately ending her career as a shinobi. Her mother Yoko was also badly wounded during the attack, and to this day suffers chronic pain and requires a cane to walk. In light of these circumstances, Naoko took on the role of main caregiver along with her father, a responsibility which has deeply influenced her personality since. While the young woman recognizes there are many more who endured worse fates, the burden of supporting her family weighs heavily on her, and it’s made her more wary when it comes to the preservation of herself and her teammates in combat.

Main weapons:

  • Odachi: Her primary weapon is a greatsword which she carries on her back. Infused with her wind-style chakra, the blades’ strength and sharpness are augmented. Outside of offensive purposes, it is often used to parry or deflect blows as well as to direct gusts of wind in tandem with her ninjutsu.
  • Chain Whip: An iron chain approx. 6 ft long with a steel ball on one end and a handle on the other. Mainly utilized when seeking to smash rather than slice objects or aid in creating small tornadoes.

Go to techniques/Fighting style: The kunoichi’s approach in facing opponents is to allow the enemy to wear themselves out and use up their chakra before going in for the takedown. As speed is not her forte, she instead focuses on blocking or redirecting incoming attacks through a combination of swordsmanship and ninjutsu. Naoko also tends to use her environment to her advantage by altering the battlefield, trapping enemies or limiting their field of vision through the creation of dust storms to buy herself time. When it comes to the offensive, she relies primarily on her blade to overwhelm her weakened quarry.

Personality:
Toshi is a calm and composed individual, as well as being shrewd. He's a very down to earth and friendly guy, gives off a big brother vibe. Happy to give help or advice to anyone who asks. Tosh is focused with an indomitable spirit, along with having a drive to carry out anything in life. Even before the Nine-Tails attack Toshi was already a hard worker, but after losing his parents has become an even harder worker, going to the point of overexaustion or potentially harming himself durring training. Also Toshi has gained a deep loyalty to Konoha and his loved ones, doing anything to protect them.

Background:
Born to a long line of merchants the Okabe family aren't the type to become ninja, with the exception of Toshi. Even from a young age Toshi knew that he wanted to be a shining, he found his family trade boring and uneventful, selling wares couldn't compare to being a magical ass-kicking ninja. Though unlike other kids of his age Toshi didn't have some secret family technique or someone to really teach him, he was just an average guy from a below average family. That didn't stop Toshi though it just meant he had to work twice as hard, and in the end he put in way more than that. Primarily focusing on ninjutsu since that's kind of the main thing ninjas do Toshi found out that he's pretty good at it.
Durring the Nine-Tails attack Toshi was tasked with evacuation civilians like other shinobi of his caliber. When arriving at his own home Toshi had discovered that half of the building was destroyed, and his parents were nowhere to be found. Holding onto the hope that they were already evacuated, so he continued with his mission. After the dust settled their bodies were discovered under the ruble of the house, and ultimately Toshi blamed himself for their deaths, believing that he could have done something to save them.

Toshi uses a very ninjutsu heavy fighting style, preferring to be effective at close to mid range. Mostly Toshi combos Jutsu together, mainly lighting and water for maximum damage output, but when for CQC he relies on his speed and Ninjato to deal with enemies. Toshi is quiet skilled with his handseals, being able to throw them out at staggering speeds, he even knows a few one-handed but their unrefined and much flower than their original counterparts.

Physical build: 5'7, Slender and toned, Somewhat feminine, Surprisingly durable but can't throw a heavy hit for shit

Personality: Kotori is a sarcastic and snarky person. A kind but an incredibly blunt person who can lay down tongue lashings. He has no filter and while gladly give his opinion whether or not he was asked or not. Despite his friendly demeanor, he doesn't let anyone get too close. He also incredibly strong-willed, opinionated and stubborn to a fault in addition to his tendency to flirt with just about any. He, however, can still be nurturing and supporting, acting almost like a parent to those in need and those he cares for. He has built metaphoric walls around his heart and if anyone manages to get through they would earn an incredibly loyal and supportive friend who would go to the ends of the earth to make them happy. He also can be very clingy with those he likes. The nine-tails attack has also lead to him becoming much more temperamental due to his mother's death. Background: Kotori is the heir of the Yamata clan, a clan originally from Getsugakure who migrated to Konohagakure after the Third Great Ninja War. His early life was smooth sailing, filled with laughter and joy. His mother and older sister, however, were killed shortly after he turned six Due to the death of his sister, Kotori became the new heir. His father, while kind, trained him rigorously. However, not all of his teachings were good. Kotori's father, Shido, was a cold and calculating man who didn't trust others and had long since stopped trusting anyone outside of his family because of his experiences in life. He taught Kotori to never put his faith in others because other people will only disappoint and hurt you. This was the cause of Kotori's aversion to trusting others and letting them in for fear they would let him down.

Go to techniques/Fighting style: Kotori typically relies on his speed and flexibility, jumping and soaring across the battlefield using his Glyphs. He is incredibly skilled in taijutsu and decently skilled making him a formidable close-mid range fighter despite his lack of physical strength and chakra control.

Hidden techniques/Bloodline Trait: Glyphs - Kotori can create discs of pure chakra can be used for a variety of purposes such as shields, projectiles, platforms as well as minor gravity manipulation, allowing Kotori to propel himself forward pull himself towards the disc to stand upside down in the air.

Physical build: He is 5'7'' and adequately in shape for what his job demands as well as be attractive to the ladies.

Personality:
While it can be said that all humans are contradictory, this young man seems to embody that more drastically than others. On the one hand he is an excellent scholar in herbology/medicine and has the potential to great things with his skill, and when needed will be able to do his job competently. His own personal knowledge can even be surprising to experienced practitioners. On the other hand he is an incorrigible flirt and womanizer with a taste that skews for both the nubile and mature. He also uses his skill or perhaps misuses it to create cheap and tasty booze to sell to people most of the time instead of useful medicines and whatnot.

On day to day dealings he is pretty cool and and calm, and there exists a certain undercurrent of a mercenary nature. At east at first glance. He loves spicy food and with that he likes a good drink, the boozier the better for it gives a big appetite which allows him to engage in the gourmet delights of spicy foods. Such is his love for spicy food that he invented a variant of spicy fried chicken that produces a cherry red crust and equally reddish meat.

Background: The background of the man known as Neru Chubu is both unremarkable and illdefined. He is not from any well known clan but does seem to have some family background involving medical knowledge and herbology. He managed to be get into ninja school and do well enough to pass and graduate from genin. Has been questioned about entering training as a med-nin but has so far declined such invitations.

Main weapons: A collapsible spear that expands with some very minor chakra expenditure. He can also channel chakra into the point to produce an energy spear tip around the physical tip.

Go to techniques/Fighting style: Neru uses his spear in most combat encounters using its length to zone opponents as well as using strategic jabs and sweeps to keep them away from him and to hobble them. He uses his knowledge of chakra pathways to effectively do a type of acupuncture with the spear thrusts for further impairment as well as to cause damage. Despite the size of the weapon he is rather nimble with it. If he cannot use the spear due to size constraints he is far from helpless as he is skilled in unarmed taijutsu as well.

Hidden techniques/Bloodline Trait:
One of the most devasting combination of this style is his finishing type move that he calls "Crucifixion". It involves hitting the limbs at certain points and creating nodes of energy. This leaves the opponent stunned and spread out as if in a crucified pose, Neru then delivers a powerful upwards stab that lifts the paralyzed opponent into the air and skewers them downward driving them into the ground. At that moment the nodes are released forcing energy through the wrong directions in the pathways causing further harm.

Personality
Tama is incredibly candid when he addresses most individuals, especially those he considers peers and those lower in rank than he. While he holds the same straightforwardness towards superiors, respect is given until an absolute reason to do otherwise has been provided. This blunt attitude can end up in him expressing judgement at times, of which he imparts as periodical assessments. Regardless of how it’s taken, such is purely to invoke a drive within his colleagues; even if he understands not everyone will react positively to his method.

Background
Contrary to the popular belief, his demeanor that drips of a strict upbringing; Tama couldn’t have been born to more passive parents. Loving and caring, of course, but both were average working class citizens in the village, his mother worked at a tailors not far from their home while his father owned a small bento cart just outside. They saw the horrors of the Nine Tails attack, but weren’t any sort of individuals who could have been involved; due to this, the last three years have been filled with stories meant to scare him into a life similar to theirs; to shirk his desire to be a Shinobi. Meanwhile, Tama took it all in stride; viewing it as a sign that now the Leaf needed capable Shinobi more than ever.

He was once a cheery, carefree boy but at some point his personality altered; his parents argue it was his dream to pursue the Ninja Way that did it, classmates would say he was faced with being dropped from the Ninja Academy and that served as his ultimatum. Whatever the cause, the trade off was a very extreme work ethic; he reshaped his life to aid in achieving his goals.

The most peculiar part of his life can arguably be his fascination with blades, in particular, swords; like the Shinobi’s own Ninjato. During his time as a Genin, he experienced what it was like to be on the wrong end of a blade, yet also subsequently how it felt to be the one wielding the blade. His love for swordsmanship has brought him the goal to become the greatest sword-wielding Shinobi in the Leaf. His Taijutsu, to meet this end, has become his main selling point; he paired this with his application of Genjutsu to create a unique style of swordplay that he desires to hone into one he could name in the future.

Standard in appearance, spare for a tether tied around the base of the hilt extending passed the pommel about a foot before ending in a braid. Tama’s go-to weapon in most situations, it’s always at his back when he’s awake and not far when from him when he’s asleep.

Mist Whirlwind: A technique that creates a rough, but mostly harmless cyclone out of the atmosphere from scratch or using any moisture based conditions in the area; like fog or nearby bodies of water.

Mist Bell: Surrounding or nearby fog begins to reverberate with ominous bell tolls, depending on the thickness of the fog it could come across as sparse or overwhelming.

Genjutsu: Mist Clone: As the name suggests, this technique creates an fake, harmless clone that charges the targeted (or nearest) opponent from the users current location, then explodes into nothing; causing no damage.
Genjutsu: Mist Fire: This technique is applied as an illusion; when released, if there is fog present, sparks of flame ignite around any opponents in the vicinity of the mist. The fire is harmless, but invokes both visual and auditory queues.

Genjutsu: Mist Shadow: This technique is similar to the Clone, but can only be used in considerable darkness or while the user is enveloped in fog; the designated opponent is harassed by moving shadows that are identical to the user, but aren’t able to physically harm an enemy.


Fire

Fire Release: Running Fire: Fire Sprouts from the ground before the user and travels forth in the direction of the manipulator’s choosing; the height and amount of time the fire remains are dependent on the users chakra pool and control.

Fire Release: Flame Bullet: Using chakra, the user gathers oil in their mouth then spits it out and ignites it to create, very simply, a flaming bullet.
