Mankind in its present state has been around for a quarter of a million years, yet only the last 4,000 have been of any significance.
So, what did we do for nearly 250,000 years? We huddled in caves and around small fires, fearful of the things that we didn't understand. It was more than explaining why the sun came up, it was the mystery of enormous birds with heads of men and rocks that came to life. So we called them 'gods' and 'demons', begged them to spare us, and prayed for salvation.
In time, their numbers dwindled and ours rose. The world began to make more sense when there were fewer things to fear, yet the unexplained can never truly go away, as if the universe demands the absurd and impossible.
Mankind must not go back to hiding in fear. No one else will protect us, and we must stand up for ourselves.
While the rest of mankind dwells in the light, we must stand in the darkness to fight it, contain it, and shield it from the eyes of the public, so that others may live in a sane and normal world.
We secure. We contain. We protect.

My name is Spaz the Butcher and I welcome you to SCP: New Dawn. This is an rp that will follow a Foundation Mobile Task Force unit and the anomalies they contain.
Don't know what the SCP Foundation is? Then I recommend reading/watching the material below to get a better idea. While knowing every little thing is not required, knowing at least what the foundation is and the basics are. This is mainly because it makes no sense for the Foundation to send inexperienced teams that have not been briefed into operations where the fate of the world is literally on their shoulders.

You have been chosen to join Mobile Task Force Unit Epsilon-84, designated "The Wolverines". This task force is a "jack-of-all-trades" unit, which is in need of new members following (REDACTED). Considered by many as a B-Team, the Wolverines are actually a highly specialized unit designated to be sent in when other MTFs are busy, meaning that they deal with a wider variety of operations and anomalies.
Because of the wider net that they catch, that also means they have a wider variety of operators, ranging from Containment Specialists to Memetic Researchers.

- Not everyone is a member of Seal Team Six, has a degree in psychology, and is known for being the guy that killed the president of some third world country. Don't be a overpowered tier-1 operator, because not all of the scenarios are combat.
- Minimum of 2 Paragraph replies.
- Be ready for some horror heavy elements. While I am not a great horror writer, I will try my best.
