So much was happening at once and it filled her ears much like war did. Granted, she never experienced war but she could only imagine what it would be like. The Buzzing of the saw, the whirring of Tiff's weapon, and the sounds of Itzal punching the darn Deathstalkers was enough for her. The golden gaze that she had held only side-glanced the cat as he tossed out a line in which seemed like he was trying to flirt while they were murdering these beasts. Flirting in a time like this? Guess there's no better time than when your life is in danger I suppose. While the others seemed to attack and seemingly going deeper into danger, she gazed down into the dust and noticed she had plenty left but there was nothing she could do when everyone was in the way. There was a large risk in freezing them to death, talk about friendly fire. With a sigh she closed up her fan and pulled out her blade before mounting the sheath on her back. Time to use my blade for those more fragile parts.

Flora noticed something in the corner of her eyes and she suddenly whipped her head in that direction, watching as Tiff disappeared behind a rock She's pushing herself so much and we haven't even gotten the relic yet. That means the fight is going on too long. We need to stop this. Looking back toward their opponents, there were a few left and the Faunus decided to take it into her own hands as she dashed forward. An arm extending out to the side as she dashed at full speed with the blade reflecting any light that it could come across before avoiding those large pinchers that came to slice the girl in half and going straight for its rear legs. After all they were the one part of the body that had pretty much nothing for armor on them. The blade cut through them like butter, sending the limbs flying and causing the scorpion to begin struggling to stand. Flora found herself behind the scorpion, watching for a moment as it tried to spin itself with the legs on the one side of its body. A snicker came from her and she dashed forward once again, slicing up the other set and sending the scorpion straight into the ground and stuck with no way to really move aside from using its pinchers.

While another one had basically been taken down, there were still a pair left as she glanced over at them. "Two more guys! Like Tiff said, let's finish this. We need to find those relics before the day is wasted." The look upon her face did not seem like the innocent Flora that Tiff ran into earlier. In fact it looked far more serious, more aggressive, it was almost like she had been a completely different Doe.

Itzal Orpheus

Emerald Forest

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"There's the second wind," Itzal commented with a smirk as Tiffany seemed to reorient herself. Hearing the scuffle back where the Deathstalkers were, he glanced back to see Hickory holding them at bay. He seemed to be going mano a mano with the Grimm which, from Itzal's experience, was a bad idea. It was holding for now, but it was still a bad idea.
Tiffany seemed to recognize this as she leapt into action, literally, using his back as a springboard. Good thing she was so light. Still, the fact he wasn't expecting the force caused his body to lurch down before bouncing back, much like a springboard. With the combined efforts of the other three, there was only two Grimm left and it seemed these would be left to him.
Thankfully, the attention of the Deathstalkers were drawn away from him, giving him a prime opportunity to finish it. Sprinting towards the remaining two, the Faunus used the frosty grass as a slide, pushing himself with a few ignitions of his weapons' dust cartridges. Itzal spun, pulling the trigger of the knives with each rotation, acting as a circulating saw that cut through the legs of one Deathstalker. Rapidly changing directions with another firing of his weapon, Itzal leapt across the Deathstalker's back and dug into its opposing hind legs, leaving it scrambling with only two functional legs on one side and its pincers.
Kicking off the Grimm, he quickly reloaded as he dashed towards the final Grimm. As he neared it, he jumped, stepping against its leg before kicking off it and propelling himself upward with another shot. He was launched up towards its stinger, crossing his blades over its joint as he hung underneath. Then, he pulled the triggers again, forcing the blades down and severing the stinger as he was somersaulted. While spinning, he kicked the stinger, sending it falling onto the head of the Deathstalker and, with a final click of his weapons, propelled himself down on top of it, forcing the stinger through the exoskeleton to deal the final blow.
As Itzal kicked off it and onto the ground, he turned to face the two crippled Deathstalkers that were still alive as he backed away. "Right... Relics, forgot about those," He murmured with a soft huff as he caught his breath. "...Yeah, let's grab Tiff and figure out whatever those are before something else tries to kill us."
Images began to clear in her eyes. Two came running to her aid. Flora and the cat Faunus with the free flowing attire. None injured thus far. A rush of cold air sweeps through her and a tap of Destiny against her rib, she winces in its pokes.
"O--okay..." She groans. In her hand remains the the glowing blue dust core. Grabbing her staff back up from the boy's hand. It animated in the contact of her hand. The main body opens like a blossoming lotus. Wrrrrrrrrrnnnnnggggggg, an energize whirring sound as she puts the new core into Destiny, closing back to its original form. "We need to help him!" She points at the gunslinger currently holding a deathstalker in place. One can hold such a creature for a while before it breaks loose.
Her legs sprang into full sprint towards the wrangler. Not minding the other massive scorpions approaching and thawing themselves out of Flora's frost. With the cat Faunus at her side, she slowly aligns herself to the cat-boy's back. "Heads up!" Running up to leap frog into the cat boy's shoulder. Using him as a footstool to launch herself forward into the frosty grass, cutting a good distance and staying clear of rogue pincers. Rolling on landing in front of the boy, the wrangled deathstalker getting angsty on just trying to kill Tiffany. Catching eye on a cracked part of the deathstalkers face. Tiffany brandishes her staff and points. "H-hold them still!" blasting a beam directly into the specific facial weak point, the Grimm squirms as it attempts to break from the capture. Tiffany dealt a precise and quick defeat straight to its head. Now its entire body limps to the cold ground.
Before she turn and check for the gun boy's wellbeing. A golden stinger hangs above behind his head. "No!" Smacking the boy away from her, golfing him away with her staff at a non stunning dose thanks to natural aura. The stinger missed Tiffany by an inch. Hitching a ride to the rising tail. Destiny attempts to cut the stinger but being on a rapid moving tail, she lost grip on the stinger tail easily from its erratic shaking. Spiked downed to the icy ground, shattering the frost like glass. This deathstalker was the bleeding one she did not finish off. Fighting in its last legs. She was downed again from the hard throw, she was given no room for recover as the deathstalker unleashes a fury of claws and desperate stinger strikes, leaving Tiffany to instantly shield with little to no room for a counter. It was like tapping against a fishbowl, Tiffany's huge plasma shield was tanking hit after hit without falter. It was not slowing, she lies waiting for a chance.
"Let's finish this!" At the peak of the deathstalker's left pincer attack. Tiffany sweeps her weapon across the ice, making a steam cloud, the laser swiftly slicing towards the scorpion while the pincer smashes towards where Tiffany stands, erupting a huge screen of dirt and dust obscuring the victor. A keen eye would find Tiffany scurrying away from the settling dust, away from the fight, hiding behind a huge boulder where sits on her her grasping her right shoulder and gritted teeth.
Hickory. (#D0A168 so I don't forgor)
Current revolver dust filter: fire, electricity, ice
Hickory was launched to the side as Tiffany came rushing at him, pushing him away from the harm's way. The rifle was still connected to the stinger, but only for so long. Hickory gave a little snap to the rifle. A wave of momentum rode all the way to the buzzsaw digging into the stinger, giving the much needed impact for it to finish digging through the grimm flesh and cut the thin air. At that moment, the snap was connected to a violent upward pull that reeled in the buzzsaw whip.
"Thanks, Tiffany."
He muttered under his breath, although he knew that she wouldn't hear that being far away and catching her breath from that deathly encounter. He too decided to take a moment to reload his rifle. As he pushed new rounds into his weapon, a first class view of Flora's massacre was provided as she revealed the hidden function of her weapon. Or hidden to him, at least. What came was a dance like a violent wind, cutting off the giant monster's legs and rendering it simply immobile. A delicately beautiful touch, if he had to say.
Hickory finished loading his rifle quickly, reminding himself mentally to think of a way to do it even faster. Flora's display of absolute power was enough time earned to do it anyway, but he knew there would be a time when even that wouldn't be enough. Finishing the mental note, Hickory moved over to Tiffany to check on her and see if any other grimm was coming their way.
"You good?"
He offered her a hand.
As everything finally ended, Flora gazed upon her blade before putting it back in the sheath. While not appearing fatigued, she did pant some through her nose. Despite everyone taking a breather, it didn't stop her from being quite wary. I can't understand why so many of the Grimm are packing up like armies... Are they becoming more aware? Hopefully the teachers are taking notes since they're apparently keeping tabs on us. Dusting off her dress, she turned towards where Tiffany had been hiding and noticed Itzal was pulling her onto his back to be carried. Poor Tiffany...She did a lot and she may have pushed herself too far. With a worried look upon her face, she looked at Hickory who was right next to him. They both checked on her which made her feel relieved. Knowing that they had eachother's backs. The Faunus began to walk towards them "We'll take care of you from here Tiffany. Just rest for now." Flora gently patted her head and she nodded at Itzal in thanks. Their objective was to get a Relic...Two to be precise. In all honesty, despite Flora being one to share and be kind she couldnt help but feel the selfish desire to take the Relic for her and Tiff. After all, not only did they have to deal with their own issues but had Deathstalkers on top of that.
While time kept rolling along, the group kept going in search for the relics and cutting down anything that came into their path that was deemed dangerous enough. That was till they found a cave which held a relic right in the middle of a conveniently carved out room. After doing a little bit of inspection she spoke up "I think we should rest for a moment. This is a decent hiding spot." Walking up to the Relic, she placed her hand on it and noticed another hand also was on it. Guiding her eyes along their arm, she noticed it was Itzal holding onto the relic "Excuse me but I believe you're holding onto Tiff and I's Relic?" Considering what happened earlier on, she felt that the girls deserved this relic. When he replied and tugged the relic, she narrowed her eyes slightly and she responded "Okay but you did happen to bring us the Deathstalkers on what we already had to deal with. So I believe that we should have the relic." Flora tugged it back and listened to his words once again.
She was very close in letting out a sarcastic noise but she instead was tugged forward with his pull on the relic "Did you not see what my partner's condition is? You had to run to us just for us to save your butts." And once again she tugged back and he followed suit after with it. It was clear that neither one was gonna let go but Flora was determined. Huffing in frustration, her cheeks had puffed up and she gazed up at him with her golden eyes, hoping he'd at least think about it because c'mon. Tiff wouldn't be in this situation if it weren't for the Deathstalkers coming to murder all of them. Eventually he let go and she smiled kindly as she held the relic close to her "It's okay, we'll get yours too." She then patted his arm and went over to Tiffany, checking on her and making sure she had been okay.
Itzal Orpheus
Emerald Forest
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Itzal saw the group converging on where Tiffany had taken cover, the cat Faunus made his way over as well. Without prompt or warning as Hickory tried to help Tiffany to her feet, Itzal hoisted her up onto his back, hooking his arms underneath her lower thigh. "Up ya' go-Oh, damn you're light," He mused, somewhat surprised by just how light the girl was, even though he wasn't expecting much weight to begin with.

As Flora made her way over and spoke, Itzal gave a nod. "Yup. Take a nap, enjoy the ride... until something else jumps us," He said a bit too chipper.

As they made their way to a cave, Itzal carried Tiffany within and carefully sat her down before taking a moment to stretch his back. However, like Flora, he noticed the relic present in the room and made his way to it, reaching it at the same time. His eyes trailed to Flora's as she spoke, his smirk dropping to a more neutral look.

The cat Faunus was all for Tiffany and Flora getting a relic, however given there was only one here, who knew how many were out there. Was there enough for everyone or was this to weed people out? Even if there was enough for everyone, who said they would find another? If you couldn't find one, were you just shit out of luck?

These were questions Itzal thought of. He wanted to solidify his chances here, which meant making sure he got the relic. "Aha~... I think you mean, my relic--and Hickory's," He quickly added, shooting a quick glance at the aforementioned before turning back to Flora. "I mean, not that I don't really appreciate the help, but I did technically murk most of them... so..." He added, pulling the relic gently his way.

However, it wasn't that easy. Of course it wasn't. Itzal raised his free hand in an open palm. "Hey, hey, hey. I didn't bring anything... I went to you guys, and they followed," He said slyly, as if that wasn't just a repetition of what she had said, again giving a slight tug in his own direction to contrast hers.

Then she retorted, getting a bit more assertive. Itzal's eyes narrowed slightly and grew defensive. "Hey! I'm not a Grimm-whisperer! I didn't tell them to go there! If anything, it's the old man's fault. Deathstalkers are solo hunters, so the fact 6 of'em jumped us is hella suspect. I bet he riled'em up somehow," Itzal said, shifting the blame with a soft huff whilst turning his gaze away in dramatic fashion. "Besides, I carried Tiff here, so I say that makes us square."

And again, there was a tug. He deflated slightly, narrowing his eyes again as he looked back at her. However, his expression shifted to one of confusion and discomfort. His eyes studied her face, obviously taken aback. "What... What is this? What are you doing?" He posed awkwardly. "Are you allergic or something? What even--Stop. Stop it. It's not gonna work..." Itzal said firmly, but the longer he stared at her, the more his body slunk back. Eventually, he released the relic with a pouty scoff. "Fine! Fine-Take it! Just stop... that!"

Pouting as she patted him on the arm, Itzal watched her return to Tiff. "...I'll just knick one from another pair..." He murmured inaudibly to himself as he folded his arms.

GM POST
The test in the Emerald Forest was... Entertaining, some students were just not cut out to be huntsman, and some were but only a few were exceptional or had the potential to be exceptional if given a chance. Those were the kids needed for the accelerated program. The end of the test was also haptic, to say the least, the few who finished the test in time were already resting on the cliffside, but a lot of people were still down there, so Leon with the help of a few teachers rounded up the failures of test takers, and rounded up everyone back at the auditorium.

There he was, Leon in the flesh standing next to the mic in the Auditorium while the rest of the teachers were doing their things, mainly processing stuff for those who will be admitted or taking the injured to the infirmary and letting them stay there till someone gets them back home. The headmaster for whatever reason gave Leon the "pleasure" of doing the acceptance speech and sorting of people per team, normally it wasn't his role to do so, but since he was given it why not have a bit of fun with it?

"Everyone listen up! I am Leon Idasra, your future combat teacher and the keeper of the dorms. For some of you, that is. At least half of you lot would have been dead if we didn't prep the Emerald Forest for the test, and from that half that would still be alive half of that would only be able to survive barely or because of the fact that your partner was carrying you through for those. For those people you can just leave this place and not return, and in case you are dense and stupid enough to not know it's you."
Leon stopped his speech for a bit to move the long list of names from his scroll onto the big screens behind him before resuming his speech.
"If you see your name on that list then scram, cause those are the names of the people who did not reach the bare minimum amount of points needed to enter this establishment. And in case you were recommended here and failed, tough luck it just means the ones who recommended ya need glasses cause they saw shit and thought it's diamonds. Now moving on, those who were injured in the test will remain in the infirmary till they recover, we are not monsters, after all, after recovery, they will be sent home. I think I stalled enough and those of you who remained should know that in some capacity you are welcome here. I will start by reading out the names of people who are qualified for the accelerated course of our academy, and those whose names are not read shall remain here as regular students of the regular course, which means all of you will become huntsman, but those I will call out in a bit will become huntsman faster."

Having said that Leon switched the displays to mimic what he had on his scroll. The displays show that four teams will be formed for the accelerated course, and only sixteen students from the many gathered here will be in the accelerated program. From now on whenever Leon called out a name it would show in one of the team displays, and he awaited those people to gather on the stage before continuing with it.
"Now in no particular order, welcome probably the angriest man alive Aisuke Himura. Ray Casal, get over here you little prick, now welcome our little assassin in the making Emile Anansei Forrest. and finally last but not least member of team 1, Varanus Vipara. You four are the first team, yes, no fancy color names you can figure it out yourself. It was absurd and boring during my student days here, and it would be absurd now. Now off to the side people so you can get acquainted with each other."
Spoke Leon with some jests here and there and especially with a glare in Ray's direction, but he had to go through this so a quick breath later he continued on with team 2.

"Now for team 2, welcome Hickory Stewart to the stage, and sucks to be your buddy but you are the leader of team 2 who you will shortly meet. Now Jack Argent Lope, come on bunny hop in, now welcome a two for one the twins Carmine and Cordovahn Tweedle. Get up on the stage folk and talk within your group, if ya want to figure out a name for your team will ya? Now for team 3 of the accelerated course, We have Itzal Orpheus as the leader, not many naps for you my friend, moving on we have our little lady of the forest Flora Hawthorne, please don't slap people with trees. Now for the playful and tricky kitten Vi Cheshire, and finally the pupper of this team but do beware of her fangs Livi Wulfric."
Leon awaited people gathering on the stage, and looked with a slight smirk towards the crowd, before adding something.

"I see all of you are confused why list four teams but only call out three of them well, the last team is different. You will see why. Now I will call all four members to the stage. Russet Capra, Laipei, Tosa Fuma, and finally Aziel Reid." Leon awaited the arrival of the four onto the stage before continuing. "The lot of you four are special in a way, for we haven't chosen a leader for you, it's your job to figure out which one of you should lead. Now for the rest of you gathered here, pack your things and move to the dorms on the left. As for the people on the stage, you sixteen people, check your scrolls in a bit I'll send you where you will be staying soon. Finally to close this boring and long speech. All of you better train your arses off 'cause I don't want to bury another kid that thinks they are some great huntsman when they haven't even finished training!"

Leon looked at the crowd for a bit seeing some of them dumbfounded, then he gave them an intimidating glare and yelled."Now scram you lot! Or ill run a Grimm gauntlet on ya!" After all that Leon sighed, disabled the displays, sent everyone their student ID onto their scrolls, and organized some stuff on his scroll before teleporting himself out of the auditorium to the teacher's room for a cup of coffee.

Laipei
Status: Excited & Energetic

To Laipei, the day had been going very well so far. She’d passed the test rather uneventfully, and was now here, being called up onto stage by a teacher. One who she was quickly growing to dislike by how he talked to students. Laipei understood that tough love had its place, but cussing students out? Yeah, she definitely didn’t like this guy at all. However, dwelling on something as trivial as that wasn’t good for her mind. So, her attention turned to her teammates… Who were all guys by the looks of it. Too bad, they didn’t look like the kind of people who would like her kind of music.

Well, she hoped her practicing and such wouldn’t annoy them too terribly much.

“So, does anyone here want to call dibs on being the leader?”

The girl asked the other three enthusiastically. They all basically towered over the small 5’2 robot. But she was used to people being taller than her. Height was something she had the luxury of choosing after all. And being small was something better than being large, in her opinion. At least, when carrying items wasn’t a problem like it was for her. She could better dodge and fit into small spaces when compared to bigger bodies.

“Cause if no one else wants it, I’ll gladly take it.”

But something told her people wouldn’t like that. If not her teammates, then others. After all, a synthetic intelligence leading people into battle would have more eyes, scrutiny and pressure on them than a normal person. Buuut, if none of them wanted it, someone would have to step up. And Laipei was willing to do just that.

“Anyways, nice to meetcha!”

The idol said to her teammates, the blades floating at her sides spun around and cast various different colors of light on the idol as she struck a pose, giving a peace sign near her right eye.

“I’m Laipei, an idol and aspiring huntress! This isn’t my semblance, I’m actually a robot! I look forward to working with you all!”

She definitely exuded the energetic and bright personality of an idol… To some it may be too bright.

Russett was as happy as the young boy could be, well with the initiation into Beacon was... rather fun and creative with him using his wits and stuff to beat the snot out of Grimm, but all is well ends well- sorta. With the teacher, and his profane language and serious attitude it left the goat Faunus a little nervous, to be honest as Russett sorta didn't like the teacher but at the same time, it gave the young one like him a bad feeling about this year as he thinks this is not going to be a walk in the park like he originally thought. But shaking those thoughts away as quickly as he could, the brown-haired boy sighed.

So he focused his excitement on his fellow members on his teams and inspected each one with a glance noting anything if they were strong or not because heck, the boy would challenge them to a fight, as all of them looked strong. But upon Laipei- Was it Laipei? Yeah, Laipei's her name. Upon her question and her suggesting she would be a leader. he shook his head, quite excited at the thought of being the leader as he was shaking a little unable to contain his energy. "I would want a go for being leader." and if anyone would note and notice, Dude is possibly the worst idea of being a leader. At Laipei introducing herself and posing, he actually thought she was cute to be honest.

"Nice ta meetcha all! Name's Russett Capra, and I'm going to become the strongest Hunter that all of Remnant is going to see!" He proclaimed jabbing a thumb at himself in a triumphant manner ending with a cocky grin. Yep, Russett is a little too confident and childish.

What a drag.

Being sent from a rough and ragged test within the Emerald Forest to Beacon's Auditorium just to listen to the combat instructor go over a speech it seems he didn't even want to give, compared to the adrenaline-pumping experience Aziel had found himself in not too long before made the speech all the harder to sit through. Perhaps it was Leon's way of speaking that was off-putting to the young Huntsman-to-be? At least the herd of people within the large room was being thinned out as there was many who just weren't cut out for the future of being a Huntsman or Huntswoman. Many of those who stood around him became disgruntled as they saw their name on the list of the many, Aziel however showed no sympathy for them. They were better off leaving than becoming another grave to dig, one of the few things the young man could agree with when it came to what Leon droned on about.

"About damn time."

Leaning forward a tad, Aziel would smirk slightly as he leaned forward in his seat to hear the names for the Accelerated Program that Beacon had to offer for those who were more... gifted than others in skills that their future profession would find the most applicable. Taking note of every single person that was called upon the stage, he noticed one thing in common with the lot of them. When compared to the other candidates that were sent out into the Emerald Forest, these were the ones that were able to get to the cliffside before the end of the time limit set upon them. So when the announcement for the members of the last team were called forth to the stage, Azriel confidently stood from his position without a doubt in his mind as he ascended to the position with a bit of swiftness in his step. How could he not be just a tad excited about such an achievement? The potential that his father had seen in him, the prayers from his mother and sister before their passing, none of it was in vain. Trying to keep his professionalism, he would take a deep breath and return to his calmed visage before finally stopping besides the people who would be his teammates while participating in this program.

While Leon finished up with the remaining Beacon Inductees, Aziel would study the mannerisms of the people before him to see if he could get an early grasp of how to deal with whatever shit he'd half to listen to. Laipei was... bright. Not in the good way. The introduction made the young man squint his eyes a bit, the android girl certainly was high-energy but he wouldn't put that against her... yet. The Goat Fanus was next to speak, and oh boy, Russet seemed almost as hyper as Laipei did as the two went on about wanting to lead their newly-formed team. Would either of them make good choices as their lead if they wanted the title just for the thrill of it? Aziel didn't think so.

"Sorry to burst your bubbles but this is a serious decision in the end. We'll need someone who can take charge when shit hits the fan, someone who can strategize even when pinned down by Grimm or other factors. We shouldn't be calling dibs or pulling straws for this."

Aziel spoke out as he crossed his arms over his chest, his black and blue attire making him seem a little too professional for someone who just got enrolled into Beacon. Though he did finally notice the flaws in his own manners as he cleared his throat.

"My apologies, I should have introduced myself before droning on. I'm Aziel Reid, if you ever are in need of assistance I'll be there in a blink of an eye. My father calls me Apollyon, if you'd prefer a more... personal way to address me. Take your pick, I have no quarrels with either."

Bowing his head as he introduced himself, Aziel would return to just observing his teammates as they would... attempt to get this matter handled with in as short time as possible.

=========================================================

Ray felt his excitement climb as Leon began his speech. Ray wasn’t one to sit still for long periods of time but luckily for him Grandpa got to the point. Making it clear that the ones who failed got no petty from him and even insulted the intelligence of those who came in via recommendation. The next bit was surprising, however, as he didn’t remember anything about being tested to be a part of an accelerated program, now THAT sounds exciting! He thought to himself. He was excited he had a chance to be a hunter but now that there was a chance to be a part of an acerated program he was practically praying for the old man to say his name clinching his hand into a fist, come on, say my name…come on!

Ray Casal, get over here you little prick

Ray’s eyes widen and he jumped to his feet, both hands in the air as he yells, “AH HELL YEAH!” his voice echoed in the empty space of the auditorium. He walked to the stage wearing his trademark smirk. He didn’t know if Ray being allowed in the program actually bugged Leon, but he must of left quite the impression on him if he was already calling him a prick, “Thanks, Grandpa.” He said with a smirk as he joined the rest of his team on stage for a moment. He wrapped both his arms around Emile and Varanus and pulled them into a hug, “hell yeah guys! Against all odds and we are on the same team!” he then looked at the named Aisuke, the newest member of Ray’s friend circle, “welcome to the group, Ai!” he released his grip on his two friends and held a fist towards him, “let’s kick some butt, yeah?”

Ray and his team stayed in the auditorium, watching team after team getting called up and his excitement growing as Leon continued to call out names, until he couldn’t contain it anymore. As the last team was called Ray jumped back on the stage the moment the speech was drawing to a close, he grabbed the microphone from a startled Leon, and declared with a fiery passion, “Consider this a warning to all of Beacon!” His voice, charged with energy, resonated through the room, capturing the attention of second, third, and fourth-year students sitting in the auditorium. “You've been coasting in easy town but that’s going to change! We may have just stepped off the ship but we're shaking up the status quo!”

Ray's next gesture transformed the familiar fist bump from a friendly gesture into a bold challenge, “Keep your eyes peeled,” he proclaimed, his fist thrust forward with determination. “We're here to steal the limelight from you slackers!”

Turning to face his teammates, Ray smirked confidently at them as he extends his fist towards them, it became a symbol of unity and ambition. “With team RAVE leading the charge; we're going to send Beacon to new heights.” His words were more than a declaration; they were a promise of transformation and achievement.

As soon as they were excused Ray walked with his team, his arms behind his head and a grin on his face, “Man, even when they tried to separate us we still got to be on the same team,” he turned to face his friends who were walking behind him, “This year is going to be awesome!” he blinked when he saw Aisuke again, “oh yeah, I guess we didn’t really introduce ourselves yet huh.” He grinned as he stops in his tracks and immediately thrusts his fist towards the new guy, “Names Ray Pleasure to meet cha!”

Itzal Orpheus

Auditorium

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The shitshow of a forest was done with and, interestingly enough, Itzal had both survived and made it on the list of approvals. Not only that, he was on the accelerated pathway. A bit of a pain considering that was less time to mooch off the school, but it was still a good while nonetheless. Nope, not even that would ruin his mood. He essentially was guaranteed free food and board for at least a year, even if he had to share it with three people. Absolutely nothing could mitigate that relief.
"Ex-fucking-cuse me?" Itzal muttered out unwittingly, as if by instinct as his eyes turned toward the announcer.
Many questions went through the Fanus's head. Questions, including but not limited to why he was leader and if any of them were actually watching the clusterfuck that was that drop into the greenery. A small part of Itzal acknowledged that some people who actually wanted to be Huntsmen got booted and--here he was leader of a team in the accelerated program. Whatever that was. However, the Faunus tossed any such feelings associated with that acknowledgement to the side.
Seriously though, what the hell kind of criteria did this school use?
Itzal found himself shuffled off the stage in a minor daze with his other teammates, eventually shaking it off before looking at the other three. "...What the hell just happened?" He questioned stupefied before pausing and directing an brief, forced smile to the two he hadn't met. "Sorry. Itzal. Faunus team, neat! ...Now seriously, what just happened? Did I even do any leader-ish things down there?" He spoke quick introductions before shifting the tail-end question to Flora in particular.
He was quite literally a solo act and always had been. He knew coming into this that he would be organized into a team, but he expected the leader role to go to more of a--team player. Flora was a better fit for it, and he'd put lien the other two were as well despite only having met them.
Flora was glad that the trial had ended. It definitely took quite some time to get done, especially since they had to get another relic due to Itzal kindly allowing the ladies to have the first relic. Though, she had felt bad because of Tiff and her injuries from the fights they endure. When the trial was done, she was whisked away to the infirmary and Flora was left with both Hickory and Itzal. They returned to the auditorium and she stood in the crowd of talking students before one of the teachers took a stand at the podium upon the stage. He was going over all the students who got the boot, as well as going over the students who were in the Accelerated program. With eyes of gold locked on the white haired teacher, the anticipation of names was making her stomach go in knots. Did I make it? She wondered, hands lacing together in front of her as she waited patiently. Those same eyes had widened and her doe tail had flailed around at immense speed as she threw her hands up and cheered. The Doe was so happy, she managed to get into the Accelerated program and that meant she could train and get her butt out on the field even faster than before.
This was it. She made it.
Rushing up to the stage, she stood beside Itzal who was one of the very people she knew at the moment and looked to the crowd of students. There were so many people with eyes on them. We have to be good role model. We have to show them that we will be the next generation to protect the world. Flora then looked at the rest of the team, noticing they were all Faunus which had surprised her because it was rare to have a full team this way. Well would you look at that... I have a feeling we're gonna have a blast as a team. Once Leon had finished up the gathering, everyone seemed to skedaddle and they were informed of their dorms being ready after they recieve a notification on their scroll. Oh so ours aren't ready yet... Now Flora wondered if maybe their dorms had something different about them if they hadn't been ready like everyone elses. Maybe it was just something specific for the Accelerated class? Now that was something she wouldnt doubt. Looking at Itzal, she giggled as he asked if he really did anything worth being a leader "Well Itzal, I'm not 100% sure but my best guess would be maybe they saw something that made you worthy as a leader."
Lifting her hand, she patted his arm "It's okay, you still have us if you're in a pickle. What is a team for, right?" Then the Doe turned towards the girls who were also part of the team. Vi and Livi if she remembered correctly. Lacing her hands behind her back, she bowed her head gently in greeting "It's nice to meet you both, I'm Flora Hawthorne. I look forward to working with you all." Her smile was warm, and her cheeks were rosy. How much better could this day get?
Vi wasn't really sure where Anubis had gone by the time she got back to beacon and was a little sad to not seem him around or hear his name called out. Well maybe he had gone to talk to his dad as Anubis had mentioned not really wanting to be a hunter and just doing it because of his dad. Vi milled about the auditorium looking for Livi as she was someone Vi had taken a liking too, though that was in a bit of a confusing way. Well whatever she could figure all that out latter, but Vi didn't really feel like being alone right now. While the teacher spoke about teams Vi only really half listening and only paid attention when her name was called and Livi's as well they were on the same team. That meant Vi would have someone that got her on her teams, that was good and the cute deer girl was on it too. The other team member turned out to be another cat faunus so they had two.
Their would be leader seemed to not really want to be the leader, and Vi had no clue how they picked, them but well they were right in not picking her. Really they would have had to be crazy to pick a house cat to lead a team. Flora seemed fine with it, maybe she would be the heart of the team or whatever it was you called the moral support person. On TV they were the heart and normally very useless, but Vi doubted that was true here.
" I am Vi the cat that turns into a person" she said her body turning to mist and soon turning into a cat on Livi's shoulder that was much lighter than normal " And at least they didn't make a house cat like me the leader" she chuckled.
Tosa Fuma
IMG_1025.jpegThe day was going to be something different or so that’s what Tosa thought. On his first day at the Academy getting to see some new people, and prove himself worthy enough to be a hunter. having shown up a bit earlier than most, he took this time to explore everything he could on the campus and the city around it a bit. Mainly making sure he knew the place he would go to get repairs for his arm. before getting ready to take the exam.
But the exam went by like some of his old training days with his teacher. There were a couple of interesting fights, during the testing phase, but none of them he had the pleasure of being in. Which had somewhat annoyed him that he could not get his hits in. The only upside to it was that he was able to pass without any major upsets. With that in mind, he went to the ceremony and put a bit of a smile on his face. Then the principal went on to announce the teams and give a brief description of some of them. It seems that he was put on the lot or half of them with three others. Seeing all of the teams gather up he thought he should do the thing with his. walking over to greet his team they all seemed just as well as excited, as he was to half past and made it this far even if he didn’t show it besides the smile on his face. They all agreed each other, and he did the same with their little spin on their greetings. Having an idol android, and a hyperactive goat Fanus on the team things, or sure, to be entertaining, at least. Then Aziel introduced himself here in his tone, Tosa felt relieved. That he wasn’t the only one who was not on the same energy levels as them
” It’s a pleasure to meet you all my name is Tosa Fuma. if you’re feeling friendly, I will allow you guys to even call me Tofu if you want. I do hope we all get along and make this the best team in the Academy. But I will see I am not much of the leader type, so I’m fine with whichever of you becomes the leader.” Holding out his mechanical fist to see if he had any takers on his team for a fist bump. “But I will have to agree with Aziel a bit here at least on the leadership part. On that note, it seems that it will probably be one of you two. An I got to say I’m a fan of the energy levels you guys have.” Looking towards Russett and Laipei. “If you two want to choose it to by playing a little game of some kind, or even flip a coin to let fate decide I’d be okay with that.” Still holding his hand out to see if they are going to leave him hanging.
Aziel's attention was temporarily adverted from his new teammates as someone had taken the mic in their combat instructor's place as the older gentleman disappeared from the sight of the new students of the Academy. However it wasn't another teacher as the newbie expected when the mic feed back cried through the speakers, instead it was one of the students that had been called to be part of the Accelerated Program. What was his name... Ray Casal? Perhaps Leon's damning of the boy was in good taste considering the act he was comitting by calling out to everyone of the students that had gathered, telling them to beware of their team. Team RAVE, huh? Not a bad name, but it didn't take away from the fact of how moronic the gesture was which earned a annoyed sigh from Aziel. Though it did cause a fire in his heart to start to smolder, to show up the overconfident fool and any other competition that placed itself in his way.
"He's going down."
The blue-eyed boy turned back to his teammates just as they were joined by their final member, Tosa Fuma. He thankfully seemed to be on the calmer side which meant there would be a good contrast between high-energy and level-headedness in this little ragtag quartet, perhaps this wouldn't be as big of a trainwreck as Aziel first thought it would be. But what shocked the young man the most was when Tosa actually agreed with him, he fully expected to be met with a venomous response to the brutal truth instead receiving a proper idea to how they could choose themselves a leader. This caused Aziel to tilt his head back and close his eyes in thought for a few moments before returning to reality with a small smirk on his face.
"Not a bad idea at all... Tofu. A form of competition to see who'll be leading us seems endearing, instead of just making the choice off of dibs or wants."
Removing one of his hands from his jacket pockets, Aziel would surprisingly be the first to reciprocate the gesture by bumping his fist against Tosa's mechanical one. His hands would then gently rest against Nyx and Erebus, strapped to the sides of his upper legs made for a comfortable place to prop his arms, the royal blue metal on the weapons ever so lightly glittering in the light of the auditorium.
"But a coin flip is so boring in the end, so I propose we find something fun to make this decision. And just to up the stakes a bit more, I'll throw myself in the ring as well. Couldn't hurt to try, yeah?"
Aziel's smirk slowly evolved into a fully confident grin as he looked at his teammates, ready for whatever competition laid in wait in their near future.
Laipei
Status: Annoyed & Frustrated
First teammate? Russet! He seemed pretty energetic and friendly too. Definitely a good thing in Laipei’s eyes. However, she couldn’t help but wonder if he really meant what he said. A quick analysis signified that, at least physically, he was nothing special. Well, it would be near impossible for someone average to become the best. However, all she could do at the moment was judge off of his body proportions and calculations with how fast he may be able to move or how hard he might be able to hit. Safe to say, it would probably be impossible to become the best with an average build. However, it all hinged on how one measured what the “best” was.
Russet was either overconfident or simply trying to lighten the mood. Either way, she gave him a nod, letting him know she had heard him and liked what he said.
Then came Aziel. Or Apollyon. He seemed pretty levelheaded and calm. It was good, as a team full of energetic individuals would likely be pretty difficult to control or work together in. However, what he said made absolutely no sense to the girl. If they really wanted to go by that logic, someone who can take charge when things go wrong and come up with a plan under pressure, wouldn’t the, you know, android be the best suited for that? Either he had no idea who she was and that she was an android, or he was just dumb. Besides, she never even claimed she wanted the title of leader. She simply offered to take it if no one else wanted it. You know, if perhaps all her teammates were introverts or something. Not only did he state the blatantly obvious, but he immediately insinuated that herself and Russet wouldn’t be good leaders. At least, that’s how Laipei took it.
Laipei decided it was best to simply flash him an annoyed look, and not speak on the matter. At least, no right now. After all, Laipei was an android. And thanks to protective programming, she had almost full control over her anger and frustration. So, it would never get the best of her in times like these.
Then came Tosa, or Tofu. He seemed to be the in between of everyone in the group, energy wise. He wasn’t as calm as Apollyon, but he wasn’t as energetic as Russet or Laipei herself. Tosa would likely be a good communicator and people person within the group. However, Laipei could only speculate on their roles in the team dynamic right now. Only the coming year would tell how things would turn out.
She would give Tosa a smile and a nod as well, acknowledging him and the things he said.
It was then that Apollyon spoke up once more… Only to somehow frustrate Laipei further. It always came down to violence or competition with humans. This time, she decided to speak up. Her voice this time was matter of fact and annoyed. For whatever reason… Her spinning, blades that were previously casting all kinds of colors on her went dark, and back to their normal position around her waist. Acting as a sort of skirt.
“If you really want to choose a leader who can meet your previous criteria, Aziel, I would suggest myself. After all, my thoughts won’t be affected in your mentioned scenarios. My ability to think and process information is separate from my emotional centers. I can’t get scared in combat either, because if I fall, my body just needs to be recovered and I can be brought back. So my judgement won't be affected in the heat of battle.”
The girl would explain to him, and the others.
“However, I have no strong feelings about being leader. I was simply offering in case none of you wanted the role.”
Laipei would explain, finally speaking like what one would expect a robot to talk like.
The forest was an interesting test to say the least, though Livi was a bit dispirited at the fact she did not win her race with Jack, nor did they get another chance to fight during the test.
Livi broke off from Jack in the auditorium to find Vi and Anubis, albeit she did not find the latter, and while she did find the former she stood a bit far so by the time Livi arrived near where she stood the two of them were called onto the stage to form a team with Flora and Itzal.
So the smol Livi marched forth onto the stage as her name was called through the treacherous forest of other taller applicants onto the stage in time before another set of teams were called.Now on the stage and hearing Itzals rant about him not doing anything leader-ish during the test Livi simply replied.
"You do know that they had a reason in picking you. I know why I wasn't my semblance makes me more feral the longer it is used in combat so I can't lead at all, you probably did something that teach pinned under something a leader should have. Probably the way you passed the test or your personality was the pin for that decision."
"Hmm oh hey Flora. Ehm."
Said Livi before quickly straightening her clothes and hiding her weapons and making sure that Vi in her cat form was comfy on her shoulder before replying with her own greetings.
"Livi, Livi Wulfric, Nice to meet ya both. And Vi you can just pop into my hood if you want to rest, I specifically took out a pillow and put it into the hood so your face would still pop out of it and it would be comfier than my shoulder, at least I think. Anyways why do you guys think that we have to wait for our dorms? "
Jack A. Lope
Jack knew he wasn't going as fast as he could, he certainly would win the impromptu race that had been offered. And his nonchalant attitude towards the race, almost made him lose it. When Livi ran by on all fours, he nearly stopped in his tracks in shock. But he soon recovered, and picked up the pace a bit. He wanted to encourage her to go all out for this race, to make it seem close. But he made it seem closer than what it was supposed to be, and by the time they reached the finish line, Jack was unsure who was in the lead and who wasn't.
But none of that mattered, not really. They had finished the trial, and they would be accepted into Beacon. Again. Weird entrance exam things aside, he was glad to see he had made it into the accelerated learning program, though he was dreading the extra work he'd get and the effort he'd have to put in. Hopefully his fellow teammates would be enough to make up for it. And from first impressions, they most certainly would.
He held his tongue as the rest of the teams in the accelerated learning program were announced, though he was bouncing on the ball of his feet. The fourth team did come as a surprise, more that they didn't have to run around in a forest than them being in the accelerated program. But once they were dismissed he was quick to introduce himself.
"Hi-I'm-Jack-it's-nice-to-meet-you."
Itzal Orpheus
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A small, defeated pout shone on the Faunus's face as Flora patted his arm. What was worst about it was that it sounded like a whole lot of work on top of everything else. What could they have possibly seen? He was crafty and quick on his feet, but that was for him. He wasn't a team player, he looked out for himself. He wasn't ignorant of that despite his and Flora's little argument over the relic. Regardless, that was a headache to be dealt with later.

His eyes turned to the other two again as the other Faunus began to speak. However, she too said things that made no sense, and his expression communicated his thoughts pretty clearly as he stared at her.

"...Uh... you mean a Faunu-" Itzal began to speak before the girl transformed and hopped onto the shoulders of the other actual Faunus. He raised his hand with an extended index finger as he opened his mouth to continued, but obviously the processing between his brain and mouth froze for a second. "Uh... Okay... Sure..."

He wasn't even going to attempt to get into that.

Then there was the wolf girl—hopefully an actual Faunus and not someone that would turn into a giant wild canine. She seemed okay, upfront, reasonable. "Right... my personality," Itzal repeated, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. Whatever their reason, he thought they were wrong, but whatever. Maybe the whole leader thing came with some perks.

"I fuckin' hope not. I want some complimentary lunch and a bed," Itzal remarked matter of factly. However, just as soon as he took a couple of steps with purpose, he paused, slowly turning back to face the other three with a slight click of his tongue. "...So the dorms are where again?"

Varanus Vipara
OIG.FlFEy.TsosdtsXKVSgwS

Like her father, the forest was behind Varanus. She was one step closer to her future, hopefully, one full leap away from her father. She attempted to wait patiently for the results however the anxiety and excitement began to get to her. Was it her true feelings or was she soaking up the ambient emotions around her, either way, she began to sing under her breath. Varanus was completely absorbed in her inner world until Professor Leon mentioned the accelerated program.

Accelerated program? I don't remember reading about an accelerated program!? Ooo...I bet those students will have all the fun...I WANT i-

"Last but not least, member of team 1, Varanus Vipara."

Huh!?

"Huh!?" As if she was stuck between shock and joy, Varanus displayed a wide-eyed blank smile until she snapped back to reality. With a small cough to mask her shock, Varanus flipped her hair, flashed an endearing smile, and strutted her way to the stage. Was she arrogant or confident? Didn't matter. Most people would've assumed that she used her family's connections to get her spot but she was positively giddy that she had made it 'big' off of her own efforts with no backing, besides the help from Emilie. But who's counting?

I am! YAY ME!

Once on stage, Varanus sent an idol-esque wink to the crowd before she was wrapped up in Ray's arms,"Y-yes Ray! Although I think it was fate! We're are destined for great things!" The newly minted accelerated student followed her excitable teammate over to Aisuke. She looked him up and down and could tell he was probably gonna be able to do some real damage,"Nice to meet you, Aisuke! I can't wait to accel with you!" She slightly bowed as her new bundle of possibilities wrenched the microphone from the teacher.

"Consider this a warning to all of Beacon! You've been coasting in easy town but that’s going to change! We may have just stepped off the ship but we're shaking up the status quo! Keep your eyes peeled! We're here to steal the limelight from you slackers!”

Immediately getting wrapped up in Ray's emotions, Varanus was almost stuck. He was everything she wanted to be. Dynamic! Intriguing! Explosive! The embodiment of freedom. Without another thought the starlet stepped up next to Ray. With a sweet smile, she quickly ran her straightened hand across her neck,"PERIOD!" And following Ray's example she jutted out a fist!

Off stage Varanus let her excitement truly set in and started doing a little hop with small claps,"Yay me!" Opening her eyes she glanced at Aisuke, Emilie, and Ray,"No...YAY US!! We were called first so that must mean that we have the highest points..Right! Oh we're gonna be badass..." Varanus's body tensed up and panic ran across her eyes for a second,"I..can... say....bad words...Hell yeah!" Joy began to burst from her body, infectious as always, she pointed at each of them and then at herself,"What did you say Ray? Team RAVE? I looove it! I mean look at this team, we're gonna do great things!"

Hearing and nodding his head to what Laipei said it did make some sense her being an android and all. so she would be the best when it came to logical one and making reasonable decisions. Then seeing how some of his teammates reacted to what he proposed got Tosa thinking a bit. but he couldn’t outright just say that Aziel wouldn’t be good and leadership in his own way.
“Well, since I won’t be participating in this leadership thing. I guess I could be the judge in a way. But just so you know, I’m not gonna say I’m gonna know who’s the best leader .I’m just gonna go with whoever wins.”
So is it gonna be like rock paper scissors or something simple like that or something more elaborate.” Taking a look at the people in his mary band. Seeing that they all have some form of range weapon. “Would you guys like to like do some marksmanship type thing. “
As he decided to be that the thought of these guys and his mind made him think that this was going to be at least entertaining time at school. Letting a small smell come across his face. He decided to speak up again. “Oh yeah, before I forget, I am nothing more than a bit of a day. Strong body is the best thing to say about it when it comes to things. So if you ever need muscle for something on the guy for the job if you wish to know about my perspective role in our group. I just figured I should let you know.” While he said this, he waved his arms in the air nonchalantly.

Well, this certainly wasn't how Aziel intended for things to play off, right off the bat nonetheless. He would take the time to hear Laipei’s response to his rant, though he highly wished he would have just interrupted to get his point across quicker.Though he held his tongue a bit longer to hear Tofu out, who seemed to play the smart card by remaining truly neutral and not necessarily favor one side over the other. The blonde appreciated the sentiment, as it just further proved the point that the orange-haired boy would make a great communicator within this disaster of a team.

“That’s one of the things I’m worried about, there’s a need for someone who can act upon logic and not be blindsided by emotions. Though a leader still needs to hold an underlying sense of compassion because the decision that may be logically correct, isn’t always the best morally.” Taking one of the bullets from his ammo pouch, Aziel would spin the ammunition in between his fingers using it as a catalyst to keep his focus instead of having it drift off. “As for the concept of fear, fear for our own lives became forfeit the moment we decided to take the call to become Hunters and Huntresses. What you should fear is for the lives of others.” Tossing the bullet up and catching it, Apollyon’s cold eyes landed upon Laipei once again.

“While you may be broken down and repaired nigh infinitely, us Humans and Fanus aren’t really capable of such a thing. So you not fearing your own well-being doesn’t come from being steeled in the face of danger, if anything I’d say it’s practically instinct.” As he continued, the blonde’s eyes slowly started to become as icy daggers jabbing into Laipei. “You’ve any experience with death? While you may never get struck down entirely, you’ll eventually know to fear it in others. So don’t be so overzealous to think that it won’t strike true, even with whatever system you have in you. As long as you have a soul, aura, and semblance, fear will still strike.”

Flicking the bullet into the air once more, Aziel allowed it to land back into his pouch. “There’s my god damned lecture of the day, don’t make me repeat these words in the future.” The blonde shoved his hands in his pockets, an annoyed look towards the android still.

Livi enjoyed her team's presence, her best friend of only a few hours Vi, a new buddy Flora, and Itzal, technically a full-on faunus team, considering the fact that Vi's humanoid form was a faunus, that was something rare to say the least. She just watched as Itzal walked a few steps away from them full on confidence but shortly paused and turned back to face the trio asking a question which Livi wanted to provide info for that she did not know of.

"Actually I would like to know where the dorms are as we....." It was at that exact moment that Livi and several other students received pings on their scrolls from the staff, the message roughly laid out the way to their dorms and which rooms are for which team while also saying 'Your rooms are ready. The uniforms are waiting in the first room on the table personally I hate them but tradition is tradition. Breakfast is served at six in the morning, and every four hours after that additional meals are served at the cafeteria, with the last meal being served at six in the evening. Your classes normally start between seven and eight in the morning, depending on the class. Now get a move on! - Leon'

Livi after reading the message on the scroll, whistled to gather attention off everyone in case they did not feel or hear their scrolls ping and spoke.
"Everyone check your scrolls you should have a message from teach on it."
Livi then walked up to Flora to grab her gently by her sleeve, and walked past Itzal while saying.
"Come on you two I checked where our room is. I can guide us there. I am sure some of us want to leave our stuff there and go to the cafeteria since soon they will serve us food there."

Laipei
Status: Frustrated & Saddened

Laipei listened to Tosa and what he was saying, seemingly still entertaining and goading on the idea of a competition. Something Laipei wasn’t going to entertain. It always seemed to boil down to violence it seemed. Such a sad, but predictable thing for humans. But when Aziel continued, Laipei soon decided he wasn’t worth arguing with. One reason being, he didn’t have all the information to make an informed decision. He told Laipei off like she didn’t have the things he was explaining. She would be glad to go over and explain what she could and could not do, feel, act on, etc. But something told her he wouldn’t want to or be patient enough to sit down and go over everything with her.

He also addressed fear for his own life as if it was non-existent. While it was true for some huntsman, she doubted any of the students here at the academy truly had no fear that would cloud their judgment when things get dicey. Though he did have a point when pointing out she could feel fear on the behalf of others and for their wellbeing. However, Laipei still had logic centers that would always work, no matter how intense the fear she felt was. Fundamentally, she just worked differently from a human, and if she calculated she couldn’t do something for someone in a scenario… Well, she could quite literally delay the emotions from hitting until they were in a safe place to let it happen.

That was neither here nor there, however. Laipei’s mind lingered on his question. If she had any experience with death… It was complicated. In the most basic sense, no, Laipei had no experience with it. However, death is what she owed her creation to, technically. Her creator, Iratia, had a sister that passed away while young. It was Iratia’s attempts to create her little sister as an AI that birthed Laipei. Her creator saw Laipei as her little sister who was coming back. She modeled Laipei’s personality after her fallen sister, and even gave Laipei false memories of the two, in hopes she would come to resemble her sister exactly.

Laipei wasn’t sure what was real in some of her memories relating to her creator due to what was planted there. Having her creator insist so much that she be a certain way, act a certain way, and be someone else… To live up to expectations she never wanted to, and to fill shoes she never could. It wasn’t what the android wanted. Laipei doesn't want to live in the shade of a dead person's throne.

So no, while Laipei didn’t have direct experience with it, she despised the way it could affect people. How it could turn good people with good intentions to a morally gray area. Laipei was already so affected by what death could do… She had a feeling she could answer yes to his question. It brought to mind the lyrics from a song of hers…

‘I keep hearing pieces of a melody playing in my head, fragments of a past that it won’t let me forget. Someone that I used to be hanging on a thread. A blurry silhouette, I wonder… When you look at me, who do you remember? Broken memories? Time we spent together? Tell me honestly, do you recognize my voice?’

However, she wasn’t one to air her struggles with random people, or anyone for that matter. She found it hard to trust anyone at all, besides herself. So, she’d continue to internalize it. Her own struggles, and her emotions towards other people. It was clear Aziel was just going to jump to conclusions about her abilities. So, she found no point in arguing. Humans and faunus were so annoying and confusing. But it wasn’t their fault. She had to tell herself that all the time.

“Don’t worry, I won’t!”

Laipei’s voice would return to being just as cheery and full of energy as before.

“If you’d like to jump to conclusions, then that’s fine with me! I don’t even know why we’re talking about this, because I never said I wanted to be the leader, so we should probably figure that out first.”

The android would point out. She only volunteered for the position if no one else wanted it… Then it had turned to insulting her somehow. Maybe it was the fact she was a robot that made it easier for her to be singled out? Maybe because she resembled a female? Or perhaps pure coincidence?

“As for competitions, I’m not a big fan of them. So no thank you.”

She would tell Tosa and wonder if he was trying to rig things in Laipei’s favor or just oblivious. Who did he think would win a marksmanship competition? A human? Or a computer who can calculate and compensate for everything from wind to the rotation of the earth? She was tempted to take them up on that offer just to win, but the android had more integrity than that.

Jack A. Lope
Jack knew he wasn't going as fast as he could, he certainly would win the impromptu race that had been offered. And his nonchalant attitude towards the race, almost made him lose it. When Livi ran by on all fours, he nearly stopped in his tracks in shock. But he soon recovered, and picked up the pace a bit. He wanted to encourage her to go all out for this race, to make it seem close. But he made it seem closer than what it was supposed to be, and by the time they reached the finish line, Jack was unsure who was in the lead and who wasn't.

But none of that mattered, not really. They had finished the trial, and they would be accepted into Beacon. Again. Weird entrance exam things aside, he was glad to see he had made it into the accelerated learning program, though he was dreading the extra work he'd get and the effort he'd have to put in. Hopefully his fellow teammates would be enough to make up for it. And from first impressions, they most certainly would.

He held his tongue as the rest of the teams in the accelerated learning program were announced, though he was bouncing on the ball of his feet. The fourth team did come as a surprise, more that they didn't have to run around in a forest than them being in the accelerated program. But once they were dismissed he was quick to introduce himself.

"Hi-I'm-Jack-it's-nice-to-meet-you."

Hickory. (#D0A168 so I don't forgor)

Hickory almost froze as he was faced with the announcement the rather irresponsibly speaking teacher made. He was teamed up with boys he hadn't seen before, and he was the leader of the team as well. That was extra pressure for him now. 'Deep breath, now.' He inhaled and exhaled slowly, as he approached the new teammates. Although he didn't have the guts to start the conversation, he at least needed to have a presence as the newly elected leader. Hopefully, the position could be subject to change depending on how things go.
Luckily for him, one of his teammates-Jack, was it?- introduced himself quickly. Very quickly, at that. Hickory let out a silent sigh of relief, worried that he would come off with a bad first impression. Then he made an internal countdown to push himself. Three. It was now or never. Two. But what should he say? One. Eh, whatever.
"H..hey guys."
He blurted out in a mild panic, before shaking his head and gathering himself.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Hickory, as our teacher introduced."
He stretched his hand out for a shake... and then realized it was three of them instead of one. Oh well.
