"Alright. We will find that baby! Gamora, Cassie, and Cliff! We got a baby to find!" Sonora said as her ears moved, trying to pick up its cries as they travel through the air. Clifford went to sniffing around as they searched, with Gamora's Scoutflies lighting the path to its scent. After some time, the scent was picked up, and Clifford sprints off, following the trail of the baby's scent and the mother's tracks. Sonora can hear the baby's cries louder and louder as they got closer, they saw the baby Nargacuga, but with a shock collar on its neck, and chained to a wooden post. It looked as if it were starving, and seemed sickly. "Aww..! You poor thing! Let's get you free, shall we?" She knelt down, and tried to get the collar off, but all it resulted in was the baby getting zapped, crying out in agony. Sonora stepped back, and saw a big thug walking up with a remote. "Can't let you do that, bitch. The boss wants a living monster as a household pet. and he sure as hell will get one."

Clifford stood there, shocked and paralyzed in fear as he watched the baby get zapped, and the big lug holding the remote arrogantly as he smiled. All this brought back memories of when he was in the same situation, shock collar, big guy with a remote, etc. Clifford was angry, but what kept him from losing it was the fact that the young beast was more important, and immediately slices off the collar off its neck, and then got into a defensive stance as the baby ran away, the mother having it in her sight, and squealing to it. "You bastards are gonna pay for what you did here today." Was all clifford said before Sonora charged in, with Gamora following suit. "We got your back, Cliffy boy!" Sonora said jokingly as the goon laughed hysterically. "You all think you can beat me?! No can do scissor sisters, but I got a pet to retrieve!" He said, before he was smacked at the back of the head by a large metal bagpipe held in Sonora's hands. "Sorry, monster fodder, but you are not going anywhere. So fight like a warrior, or run like a coward." Gamora walked up next to Sonora and clifford, and gave off a heroic presence. She had grown stronger since she was last her, and though her home was destroyed AGAIN, she knew that the monsters and people of the new world would thrive once more, and rebuild. Peter

Peter arrived at the airship again and found Lapis without much trouble. Of course, it was was came next that was the hard part. He had to understand that Lapis' head didn't dance to the same song as the others, and talk accordingly. Easier said then done, of course, considering Peter himself couldn't be further apart from that particular mindset. Gripping his arm and glancing to the side, Peter began to talk:
"Lapis, wait. Before you give up and run off to do something else, I have a few things to say." A brief pause followed as Peter recollected the recent events and did his best to put himself in Lapis' shoes. "I know that some people have said things that don't really make sense. That they don't need help, that the monster that could hurt people in the future should be protected. Sometimes, we say things that don't want to say, and sometimes we say things that don't really have any logic. But it's part of what makes us..." He wanted to say 'human', but it felt wrong considering Lapis and her condition. He began looking her in the eye. "Well, us. But we always mean well, you see. Damian may look mean, but he's just trying to put all the weight on his shoulders and protect us from all the pain he's been through. I think he's wrong at doing that, and I'm going against his orders, because he and Cassie are dear to me. I can't see them suffer any longer, and I will act to my best intention to get them out of this awful situation. If we mean anything at all to you, then you should at least understand the logic in that, right?"
"And when it comes to monsters..."
Peter explained. "Well, from what I've seen and studied here, I can tell you that the monsters in the New World are nothing like Grimm. They aren't bent on destroying humans like they are. Mosnters from here are more like really big and ugly wolves or bears, actually; you don't want to run into them on at night, that's for sure, but they are also part of a larger, healthy-ish ecosystem. If you kill too much of them, like the Sterlings are, you're going to cause more harm than good for everyone." He then tried opening a half-smile and offered a hand. "But I'm rambling at this point. Bottom line is... Could you please forgive us for our mistakes? We'll try our best to do better next time."

Cassie

As the fight was about to break out between Clifford, Sonora and the thug, a pike came flying down and stuck itself in the soil between the fighters, intending to stop them dead on their tracks before the first blow could be delievered. Cassie landed soon after, saying:
"Wait!" She put her hand over Clifford's shoulder and added: "Look, I want to deck this fool as much as you do, but if Damian's right about our family, then we should be careful with our actions here." She then glanced around. At every post, there were security cameras, filming them closely. It creeped Cassie out.
Shortly after Cassie said that, the sound of clapping approached them. A blond man in white that they knew all too well was making his way to them with a mischievous smile.
"Bravo, Bravo!" He said, his voice like running your fingers through velvet. "What a heroic entrance there. I'm truly in your debt."

Clifford calmed down when Cassie touched him, feeling a warm sense of security wash over him. He backed off, as well as Sonora and Gamora. Clifford knew the small Nargacuga family would be alright, but he worried for his own. However, when the blonde man showed up with his dumb smile, Clifford snarled with a growl. "I am sure you are, cutting down trees and killing animals for no reason." He sneered as Sonora looked at him. "Easy there, killer. Let's hear him out first, maybe he has something IMPORTANT to say?" That shut Clifford up faster than someone can say "Timbuktu". Clifford did not like this, since the man's presence felt familiar to him. Was he - No... he couldn't be, could he? "Who are you, exactly?" He asked with an intense glare, his guard up.

Gamora could feel the tenseness of the situation as this new person walked up, especially with their red boy on edge since the attack. It's a suspicion of hers that he is starting to show his true colors, a large need for blood, to vent his anger on those who have wronged him. And even then, he still held back, but for what? "You'll have to excuse him, he has been on edge lately with recent events." "Like hell I am!" "Clifford, zip it. Final warning." Sonora looked at him with stabbing eyes as Clifford finally submits, and shuts up. Gamora did not like the approach, but someone had to keep him in check before things got out of hand. "We should listen to him instead of getting emotional, please, take a breath." She instructed him. Karcen Karcen CapRock CapRock Lord0fFate Lord0fFate nimona nimona

Lapis did not expect to have anyone else leave the fight to join her, she assumed they would continue to deal with family matters. She did wonder why they would come before the battle was done it was a waste of resources to further cut down your man power. Still watched thing below they seemed to be winding down mostly, this time it seemed that aiding the monster had resolved the conflict faster than killing it. Lapis turned to peter as he spoke up and his speech was an odd one, did they think she was upset? Lapis had simply done as she had always done and when told to stand down she had done so and seeing this was a family matter she had withdrawn. She did also notice what the next words would have been, emotions, lacking her strange logic, it made people human. it was true she was not humans she was a faunus, but she understood what the words meant she was not fully human. Lapis had long figured that much out to many people placed humanity within their feelings it didn't matter if lapis could not be human she would be a huntress. Still they were under the idea she was upset because she was told not to kill a monster when she was only doing as they wished.

" You are making one mistake, i am not upset i am simply doing as i should and standing down and withdrawing from a family matter of which i am not involved in" Lapis explained " i offered my aid to your family in a way i could and my idea was not only rejected but i was asked to not be involved in this families issues. i am simply following that request" She continued.

There was a clear divide between Lapis and the family that was everyone else. A family to her was connected by blood or law and she was connected by neither. " You also assume that i would place no value upon the group you are my team therefore have a value, but family matters are only to involved if asked, thus if i am to intervene in family matters i should be requested by the head of the family or what passes for it before i proceed" She explained meaning she would stay out of it till formally requested to join in on family matters " As for the matter of mercy towards monster, i understand they are animals, but i am a huntress it is what i do i hunt and kill monsters that is all i am for i lack what makes us us so to say "

Peter

Peter watched in awe as Lapis responded; he didn't recall the last time she had spoken so much. Once she was done, he was looking almost embarassed as he rubbed his nape, saying:
"Gee, this is getting complicated... But I think I'm getting it now. Well, how about this, then? What if I told you that, each time Damian says 'don't help!', hea actually means 'please help'? Yes, that's the easiest way to put it. We people are weird like that. Just like we sometimes act like we're so assured of something, even though we have a little bit of doubt deep down." He added with a wink. Peter noticed the commotion down there and added: "Look, it's beggining. This is out chance to butt in still without looking too weird. Could you maybe help me help him? I'd appreciate it a lot."

Cassie

Cassie glanced at Clifford several times as he snapped at the Vapor, gripping his shoulder as he did it but without saying anything. She knew very well that, in the temporary absence of her brother, she had to play the role of the Sterling there. Though the Vapor stayed calm as smiling throughout the conversation, she could have swore she saw him scowling for a brief second as Clifford spoke. Otherwise perfect in his class and composure, he spoke back:
"Indeed, I do have important to say. That is very attentive of you. Allow me to introduce myself first. I am Dior Sterling, house of the Vapor branch. I would apologize for this unfortunate misshap, but it seems like you've handled the situation masterfully. Therefore, instead I'll offer an invitation. I'd like to treat you all to a humble meal at our camp headquarters as a gesture of gratitude. It is sudden and cursory, but I assure you we'll be doing our very best to indulge you in the best Sterling fashion."
Cassie took a step forward and opened her mouth, but no sound came. Her first reaction was to accept it, but... What if it was a trap? Even if it was, how would she refuse it? Could they be planning for her to refuse it, knowing her brother had filled her head with horror stories over their relationships? Not to mention it'd burn a bridge, possibly even cause attrition towards someone she hadn't even properly got to know. Suddenly, this whole ordeal was feeling significantly less straightforward than she assumed it would be, and it was quickly draining her of her confidence.
A bead of sweat popped in her forehead. Still, no response.

Sonora looked over at Cassie, who was literally at a loss for words at the very moment from the offer. She began to think about what to do next, and then sighed as she made her choice. She would most likely regret it right off the bat, but what choice did she have? Her children were her number 1 priority, and she needed to make sure they were safe. "I accept your offer on behalf of the Roja family. When is this meal taking place, so we shall be there with utmost punctuality?" She asked in an unusually formal tone as she bowed her head. She knew full well it was most likely a trap, but with Magnus around, she was sure they can get out of this without a hitch, as well as her own skills. "My father will also be joining us, but he is currently occupied with a task at the moment, but I will be sure to extend your invitation to him."

"IS SHE CRAZY?! THIS JUST SCREAMS "TRAP!!!!" Clifford angrily thought as he crossed his arms and growled, thinking about how worse the situation could get. He did not want to go, in fact, he wanted to maul the man right where he stood. He then sighed as he thought of Sini and Aslan, putting his anger aside. "Wait a minute... isn't this the rat bastard that gave us Aslan? Saying his father died or something? This... This is not right..." Clifford looked at Cassie worriedly as he began to ponder his thoughts, as if he was trying to make connections to recent events.

Lapis listened to Peter and she did pick up on his use of we people when describing those that would be confusing to her and this signaled to her Peter agreed with her self assessment that she was in fact not quite a person. Well that much was clear still the others it seemed were as much slaves to their own inability to be honest as they were to their emotions. Lapis was not the kind to read into words to deeply and thus lacking social skills she would be unable to read such hidden meanings. It seemed clear now that while her plan had been rejected her offer of aid had not been. Lapis was not one for hurting people when there were monsters as she existed to protect people. Still there was little choice in the matter she could only move as the world dictated the world of black and white muddied with grey it seemed.

" Very well though he should be more clear in the future i lack the understanding of when such times come up and can only take the words as they are said" Lapis explained words were nearly literal in her mind, perhaps her old team from beacon had not hated her, well that didn't matter not anymore.

Peter

"I'll take it!" Peter agreed, nodding. He decided to keep up with her request right away: "You're very dear to me, Lapis. Just having you arond already makes me feel a bit safer. See you down there!" He added as he leaped out of the ship again.

Menawhile, down at the main group, the Vapor raised an impressed eyebrow towards the response he was given. Torn between her surprise over Sonora's reaction and Clifford's panic, she finally mounted a response:
"You should be more careful with your cages. People could have died here."
"Remarkably well observed, my dear cousin." Dior answered. "Our efforts will be on it at once. And about the meal, there should be little of it - I'd wager that a single hour should be enough for the preparations. Now, if you will, I'd be honoured to guide you and your airship to our guest quarters and-"
"Already working out that silver tongue, I see."
The voice, that came from behind the Vapor, suddenly overhwelmed the conversation in a sudden, silent tension. Damian had returned from his escort mission, adn now was stading between his cousin and the exit, hands on his pockets, slouched forward against the other man's elegant pose. It was hard to believe such different people were related. Even then, the blonde man never seemed to lose his expression. He simply added:
"Long time no see, cousin. You don't plan on embarassing our family name in front of the guesses, are you? Oh, silly me." He added with a snicker. "It is far too late for that, is it not?"
Damian gritted his teeth, but did not answer.
"Thought so." Added the Vapor. "Now please, follow me."

"Oh, I'd say he is wearing the name just fine." Sonora said with sassy confidence as she crossed her arms with a smug smile, rubbing her fluffy tail on Damian's back. "So, did everyone make it out ok, honey?" she asked as she tilted her head, moving her eyes to look at him as he was slouched forward. She was not afraid to flaunt her stuff, as well as make it known that her and Damian were together, since it was obvious that the Vapor knows of them already. After getting a response from Damian, she then takes out her scroll, and shot a message to Magnus, explaining the situation, and extending an invitation from Dior.

Clifford looked at Cassie when she made her statement, and nodded in agreement. The last thing he wanted was unnecessary bloodshed, or an entirely ruined ecosystem. When he listened to the exchange between Damian and Dior, his suspicions were proven true.
"Sonuva.... That is him! He gave us Aslan and then ordered for the kids to be killed... I guess what Damian said about his family was true after all..." He thought as he wondered if the Sterlings had only started with the Ancient Forest, or split off to exploit the resources of other areas, like the Coral Highlands, or the Rotten Vale. "Cassie... I have a bad feeling about this, and that says something coming from me..." CapRock CapRock Karcen Karcen nimona nimona Lord0fFate Lord0fFate

The Vapor did not go through the trouble of answering Sonora, instead simply turned and leading the way. The group began following, with peter and Lapis joining the procession soon after. As they made their way towards the center of the camp, the tents, guards and roads grew increasingly more elaborate and extravagant. The silhouette of a true monster of a tent soon began to make its first appearance, towering over all the others with it's unnecessary opulence.
"Yeah, they're out." Damina told Sonora on their way there. "But it won't last long out there until something is done about all this, so don't celebrate just yet."
"I have it too, Clifford." Cassie said, holding his hand as they pressed on. "But we promised we'd get this through together, right? No backing down now."

A few minutes later, the group was dropped inside a large guest tent that offered beds, blinds and a few more commodities and left to their own devices. First order of business was to ensure they truly had privacy; thanks to Peter's tech-savvy skills and Damian's manipulation of metal, all the cameras and wires were defused by the end of the minute. After that, they all gathered near the middle to talk. Damian started:

"Despite everything I've said, you're still here. it's not too late to bail, you know." Peter rushed to cover Lapis' ears and said:
"You mean to say you're really thankful we're all here to lend you a hand? Right?" He asked, wiking dramatically. Damian sighed and said:
"If you want to stick around, then at the very least stop treating this as a joke. As some of you seem to have realized by now," He added, glancing at Clifford. The Odogaron was surprising him time and again with how well his instictintcs were serving him in that situation. "This lunch is a trap. Stay on your guard and don't bite their bait, no matter what. No one is to be trusted. if we do evrrything right, we might be able to get some information to understand what to do next."
"Speaking of information, I have something to share." Cassie said, although she seemed rather anxious about what she had to say. She searched in her coat and produced a few sheets of paper. "When I got knocked over by the Nargacuga, I ended up inside this field lab room. Before I ran into the fight, I found these..."
Cassie put forward the sheets for everyone to see. They were scientific reports with several pages long of complicated scientific jargon, but, amongst them, a sketch stood out. It was a small-ish grimm with the appearance of a mosquito. Its presence was powerful enough to fill everyone in the room with deep chills.
"Plage suckers?" Peter exclaimed, the blood rushing off of his face. "What the hell would they want to mess with those? They're the ones that-" His voice died out before he could finish, and he worriedly glanced at Lapis.
"I have no idea." Cassie said. "But it can't be good. Maybe we could take advantage of this meal and do some digging on this... Or, since this is clearly not helping out Vale's economy in any way, maybe we can even try Lapis' plan and get some sabotage going on."
"You're losing your mind, sis." Damian said. "They'll find out, and the damage will be irreversible."
"I'm getting sick and tired of you treating them as if they were Gods!" Cassie snapped back. "They are just people. They can be taken down if we work together. All we need now... Is to choose a plan, and stick with it."

Clifford nodded in agreement to Cassie as she made her point with Damian. "That, and they are invaders of hostile territory. They put so many creatures out of their homes, almost ruined an entire ecosystem, and more importantly, tried to domesticate a wild animal! Think, Damian! They attack OUR children, and now they are leveling entire ecosystems for their own gain! Are you going to stand up to them with us, or are you gonna submit with your tail in between your legs!?" Clifford said as he looked at Aslan and Sini, who were sleeping on a blanket and pillows that Oakris had set up. "If we do not stop them, then how can you even deem yourself worthy of anything at all? Sini and Aslan are important to me, as much as Cherry and Jr. are to you. Get your head in the game, and do it fast. Because I will not sit idly by while MY kids are in danger." His piercing blue eyes glared at Damian as he said it in an aggressive tone, to which Sini started to cry. He got up, and picked up the feisty infant, feeling himself calm down as she looked at him.

Sonora was surprised every time Clifford spoke, like he had grown up very fast into a young adult right before her eyes. She knew he was right, their young are in danger, and they needed to protect them.
"They're right... Damian. We need to come up with a plan and stick with it, as well as protect our little ones. How can we call ourselves parents if we don't nip the problem in the bud?" She said with a worried look aimed at Damian, she then looked at the twins, and saw them sleeping with their stuffed animals, a small smile ran across her face, the adorableness was reassuring to her oddly enough. "Lapis, don't let Damian fool you. We really do need your help. We cannot do this without you, and you are best qualified for this."

Gamora and Magnus stayed silent as they watched the group bicker and argue of the situation, though Gamora was not necessarily worried about her childrens' safety, she worried that they were targets, along with the Roja and Sterlings. "I really wish things weren't this way... I have watched my home be destroyed 3 times, my boys are probably in danger, and now we got everyone fighting each other." She said with a sigh as Magnus nodded.
"They will figure something out soon enough. But Clifford is getting unusually aggressive with everyone."
"Well, with things happening the way they have, I wouldn't blame him. He is protecting his family, something he holds very dear." CapRock CapRock Karcen Karcen nimona nimona Lord0fFate Lord0fFate

Lapis heard the name of the grim and saw the photos, those were the reason she was like this, those were the reason her parents had died. She could not fathom who would ever think of using Grimm for anything the monsters could be tamed there was proof of that, but the grimm were just evil. Lapis did still think taming monsters was a bad idea and killing them was better, but she could not deny they could be tamed. The only reason someone would want such Grimm would be to hurt people namely humans, to kill people and spread their viruses. Lapis should be angered, she should actually be enraged, yet right now she was fine, that was odd even to her, perhaps the team was having some effect on her. She might also need to see the Grimm for such a reaction, though no matter what dealing with them was now number one on her list beyond even hunting. There was just one thing for certain Lapis would not let them use the Grimm as they wanted, the Grimm were true monsters that existed to kill, they were not animals they needed to die.

" Even if they were gods they must be stopped the Grim are not beasts they can not be tamed and the illness those carry can not be cured not even by healing semblances" Lapis said her voice unwavering though it was clear she wasn't going to tolerate even humoring helping these people if they were using Grimm like those that had killed so many so very slowly.

Damian

Damian had expected some resistance, sure. Most people didn't believe when they heard the full story of the Sterlings. They were quick to doubt the fact that there was no way out, and even quicker to offer a solution of themselves before they slowly came to understand his point of view. He even expected this makeshift family of his to offer a bigger resistance than most, ever since he had met them in what felt like so long ago. But this... This was too far gone to even argue about. Cornered, outnumbered and outgunned, the Sterling finally had reached his breaking point, and it wasn't pretty.
"You know what? Fine! Since you're all already here and so eager to ruin your own lives, then go ahead and make your move! When it all comes crashing down, I'll at least know that I did my very best to warn you."
Damian went silent and pretended to hold on to his nose bridge. In reality, he was holding back tears. He couldn't help but think he had failed them all, and they would end up like everyone else who tries to interfere. He turned his back to the group and set off towards the tent exit.
"I'll go take a walk. Be back here for the lunch."

Peter

After Damian left, the mood in the group seemed to have dropped even more. Peter had realized Lapis would have a personal reaction to it all, and, for her standards, that felt like she was yelling at them at the top of her lungs in a fit of rage. Peter winced in response, and, when she was done and Damian had left, he finally got up himself and said:
"You're right, Lapis. We can't toss away a chance like this to stop whatever it is they're doing! We should try and find out more about their plans, and where they're hiding these plague suckers. What do you say we go on a little Recon mission while they work as distraction?" He asked to her and whoever else was interested in joining.

"Damian..." was all Sonora could say as he stormed off after his outburst. Cherry and Sonora Jr. started to cry when she looked over. She knew they were hungry, and grabbed a blanket, and got to feeding. This whole situation seemed to tear them apart, little by little. She felt partially responsible for all this, for their children being attacked, For a lot of Damian's grief, a lot of it. Her ears drooped down, and quiet tears ran down her face as she closed her eyes. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry for everything..." She whispered to herself. Then she went quiet as the girls made baby noises as they ate.

Clifford glared at Damian as he walked out, in all honesty, he could not relate to him in this department, but Clifford had his family on his mind, and that was all he had. He looked at Sini, who had quieted down after the outburst, and started to grab her father's nose. Clifford sat down next to a sleeping Aslan, and smiled at the two. Sini smiles back, and moves her arms around, as if trying to hug him. "You guys are all I have, and I will not lose anyone again... not like I have before." He said with a determined grit to his tone, and then looked at Cassie, then back at their babies. He had somehow managed to make it this far, with everyone's help. But this is the time that he has to help them. He noticed Lapis' sudden anger towards the mention of Plague Suckers, and winced at the feeling. Then again, he knew what the loss of a parent felt like.

"I think it is time to breathe for a couple moments, and compose ourselves." Gamora said as she watched with worry. "And peter, while that does sound grand, how do you suppose we pull this off? We have the young ones to think about too." She added as she looked at Peter, then she looked at Oakris. Then again, these Vapors seem stronger and smarter than they let on, but that is to be seen. This was why Lapis did not believe hunters should have children, they were fighting over the best course of action and having to balance the weight of the mission with that of their family. That kind of hesitation could cost a team the mission and lead to the very death they tried to avoid. A hunter had to be certain, they could not afford to let their mind wander of if's,for if they worried then the worst was sure to happen. Lapis was for the most part immune to this, but her teams were not. Lapis did not want to wait, perhaps she was being emotional, but she didn't want to sit around if the Grimm could be found, if a plague could be prevented.

" If family is the reason one should not go then I can go alone" Lapis continued still keeping herself separate from being a family member she was a teammate " That way no children will be impacted" She continued though there was a slight edge in her tone very faint towards the choice to bring the mothers and children along if they were going to avoid dangerous situations.

Sean had been hanging out in the background since he arrived a short time ago, and he had been listening and watching the developing situation. Not sure what was happening, but certain that nothing good was on the horizon. 'They want to help protect their kin, they want to keep their people safe.' Sean slowly made his way forward as Peter spoke, nodding his head. "Taking time to plan and letting calm heads do that planning is a good idea, and keeping the young ones safe is better for everyone." Giving Gamora a polite and supportive nod.

When the Lapis spoke he looked up, intent on listening and agreeing. "No one shooouu......" But froze in place with a jerk and breath hitching in his throat. His eyes went wide and his hands gripped the handle of his Boomstick, which was strapped to his left hip like someone would carry a sword, but did not draw it or take any aggressive actions. "Spider...." Sean says to himself in a small quiet voice. He forces himself to swallow and take several deep breaths and look around, trying to nonchalantly wipe a few beads of sweat from his forehead. He was trying to figure out how he had missed that fact when he had been watching and putting names to faces. Looking at everyone and everywhere else, but trying to not step away or appear rude. Which he was undoubtedly failing at.

Cassie

The tense situation generated by the attack on Damian and his leave was wearing down on Cassie as well as the others, with a thin veil of flustered sweat forming around her brow due to her Semblance. Still, the Sterling wasn't ready to give up yet. Getting herself up, she made her way to Sonora and Clifford, putting her hand over the latter's shoulder, and said:
"C'mon guys, we can't let our worries have the best over us at a time like this. After you're done feeding, we should get ourselves ready. They should be here soon." Then to the others: "I'll be counting on you to get to the bottom of this while we keep them distracted. Whatever you do, it should be our priority that everyone gets home safe in the end, understood?"
Cassie made notice of the new person as well. Normally, she'd inquiry him, but the current situation was quite time sensitive and he didn't seem like he was working for the vapors. At times like these, one couldn't afford the luxury of being picky with their own friends.

Peter

Peter was trying his absolute best to keep his focus on the discussion happening between himself, Gamora and Lapis as well as Cassie's orders, but how could he possibly keep a straight face when this new person was staring at Lapis like she was a raging Nuckelavee? Well, at the very least, the scene served as a good way to lift up his own spirits.
"Well, we definitely can't afford to keep the children alone. I'll-" before he could finish, however, he felt a tug on his arm. It was Yukari who, after a quick stare, shook her head in a reassuring manner.
"Go on, they need you. I'll take good care of them. Promise." Peter couldn't hold his own feelings and surprised his wife with a tight hug, stumbling over his own words to say:
"You know that if anything ever happened to you, I'd-"
"Shhh. It'll be alright." Yukari whispered, patting his back. Feeling like he had his determination renewed, Peter turned to Lapis and the new person, saying:
"Alright, you two! After they come to fetch Cassie and the others, we'll get our game plan started… Whatever that is." Finally, he focused on the one whose name he didn't know to add: "Sorry, what’s your name? I'm Peter Russet, by the way. Seems like you're eager to help… Big thanks for that! We'd be seriously understaffed for this if it weren't for you." As he finished, Peter held out his hand for a handshake.

"Thank you, whoever you are!" Gamora gave a hardy laugh as the new person agreed with her. She did not know when he came in, but he did not seem to work for the enemy here. "Might I ask, who are you? And how did you get here?" She studied the young man, and took note as he seemed to be nervous, especially around Lapis. "Oh, that is our friend, Lapis. She won't bite." She said in a joking manner.

Clifford nodded as he rocked Sini, who eventually fell alseep.
"We will get to the bottom of it, honey. Don't worry. And we will all be coming back, I have faith in our skills." He said as he set Sini down, and straightened the collar of his shirt, and put on a pair of shoes he brings just in case. (Note, Being a member of the Odogaron species of Ancients, He has 4 sub claws and 6 true claws on his feet and hands, making shoes hard to wear.) "Wearing these is gonna be a pain, but I'll manage... So, let's eat!" Clifford said, despite not being hungry in the slightest. He saw the new person, but did not acknowledge him as a threat, and simply went back to getting ready.

Sonora looked at Cassie, and nodded.
"Alright... I'll do my best. I will make sure we all make it home with everyone in one piece. And Peter, I trust Yukari with them. So don't worry! Besides, we need you here!" She said, taking notice of the new person. She smiled at the new face, tear lines on her cheeks. "Sorry about that! I didn't see you there!" She said with a smile that felt somewhat forced. She wanted to get this situation resolved and go back home. She did not want to spend another minute with the rest of the Sterling family. Lapis completely ignored the new face only wondering when he got here. She heard just barely his comment of spider and she half wondered if part of her chitin was showing as her clothing barely showed any skin. It didn't matter for long as this guy could do the mission instead of being scared by working with a fanus. Lapis unlike normal people didn't realize others might be scared by her because she was a spider fanus instead of just a fanus. Lapis did not care about working with someone who had a dislike for fanus it would not be the first time, though it seemed she would need to cover herself a bit better if she was that obvious. Lapis didn't hide those parts of her body out of fear of discrimination, it was purely practical to do so as it was often easier if everyone thought she was the same race as the others. This was all of course pointless thoughts and Lapis should focus on the mission.

" If the emotions are done with can we move onto the possible plague at hand?" Lapis asked if anyone had asked that question it might be an insult but this was lapis who didn't really get emotion and ad issues telling wen others were done feeling. Se was also, if she could name the feeling worried about the plague suckers being unleashed they could cause untold damage to more people.

Sean heard several talking to him, taking a deep breath he shook his head and forced himself to smile and look friendly, looking around the small cluster of people. "Séanadh Fírinne, but people call me Sean." He reached to shake Peter's hand, with a firm grip that was not meant to be crushing or dominating, but to show his confidence. "Helping is why I chose to be a Huntsman, so if you need it I'll be there." His other hand resting comfortably on his hip, trying his best to appear relaxed.

Turning to Gamora he nodded, briefly glancing at Lapis after the comment about not biting. "That's good." Rolling out his shoulders and forcing his body to relax as it seemed like everyone was not bothered as he was. "I was traveling, and taking roads less traveled, seeing where Grimm needed to taken care of and eventually found myself here." Smiling and giving a small wave to Sonora, noting the tears and forced smile. "No worries about not noticing me, I tend to blend into the background." He said with a small chuckle. There was obviously a lot of tension and emotions were running high. "I'll do my part, whatever that is once we figure out what we're doing."

Cassie

To say seeing Sonora hurt that badly hurt badly didn't quite cut it. Desperate to do something about it, she took her sister-in-law in for a tight hug, trying to spread some of her Semblance's warmth over to her. Cassie was also tired of it all. She was angered at the Vapors for tearing apart her home, at her other relatives for not helping, and at Damian for not being there for his wife when she was needing him the most. It was getting to the point where she had her doubts she'd be able to keep herself calm all throughout that horrible, horrible day, but she had to. For Sonora's sake, as well as Clifford's. Not long after that, however, Damian himself showed up at the tent's exit; he looked a bit calmer than before, if a bit flustered still.
"They're here. Let's go."
Cassie offered Sonora a hand to get up, kissed her children goodbye and went for the exit, waving the others goodbye. When she got out there, a surprise: the one waiting to escort them was a Sterling, and he didn't look like a Vapor at all. Young, friendly and red-haired, it was hard to believe that he had anything to do with the cursed family at all. He greeted them with a slight smile and said:
"Hello, cousins and company!" He greeted. "I'm Gilford Sterling, nice to meet you."
"Yeah, yeah, long time no see." Damian said as he paced by him without a glance. "I'll go on ahead."
"That's fine by me!" Gilford said. he began walking with Cassie, Sonora and Clifford towards the main tent. "It's always nice to meet up with some Diesels all the way over here." He turned back on them and added, surprisingly serious: "Becasue, to be completely honest with you, I can't stand my own branch."

Peter

Meanwhile, back in the tent, the other's eagerness to start was beggining to rubb off on Peter as well. After the handshake, he replied:
"Seana... Wha? Ok, Sean sounds great!"
When Sean began explaining his reasonings, Peter was impressed. He sounded just like his idealized version of a huntsman, something he had yet to see during all his years in Vale. Everyone seemed to take up on the career for some personal reasons, including Peter himself. To have someone who was actually doing it for the sake of helping out wherever needed was refreshing, to say the least. The young man nodded and added:
"And it seems like our distractions have gone out as well, so we can go on our own way. Remember, guys, these crazy dudes have eyes and ears everywhere. We have to either avoid them completely or pretend we're just going for a little walk. If you see anything suspicious, let me know and I'll take out the cameras so we can go in. As for what we'll do if we actually find more stuff on the Plague suckers... I guess we can burn that bridge when we get there, right?" He suggested with an awkward smile. Then he put his hand forward and said to Lapis and Sean: "Can I get a 'go team'? Eh?"

Sonora was taken by surprise from Cassie's warm hug, feeling her semblance bring some heat to her. But she could also feel the anger that Cassie had as well. She stayed quiet as Damian came in, and took Cassie's hand to get up as the girls had just finished feeding. After setting them down gently and kissing their heads, Sonora walked to the exit as she smiled at them, and was met with a young Sterling named Gilford. "Nice to meet you, Gilford." was all she said when he introduced himself. She noticed his friendliness, and heard his comment on his branch on the family. "Yeah, me neither. They make even the White Fang look good..." She thought as she took a deep breath, and waited for Gilford to lead.

Clifford took notice of Gilford as he came up, and kept his guard up. Despite his friendliness, He did not trust the boy. If the Rotten Vale had taught him anything at all, it was to never trust anyone, especially if you do not know them. He waved to Magnus and the others who volunteered to stay behind as they got ready to go. He also kept his eye on Cassie, to make sure she does not turn this whole place into a hellscape with her anger. He then looked at Sean, talking to Gamora and Peter. He seemed nice enough, but only time will tell.

Gamora nodded to Sean as he told her how he ended up here in the New World. And then gave a reply to his blending comment.
"Blending in is a great skill to have while hunting. Monsters barely notice what they cannot see." She added as she got up, and rubbed her boys' heads before heading to the exit. CapRock CapRock Grim Wraithe Stjerna Grim Wraithe Stjerna nimona nimona Lord0fFate Lord0fFate Karcen Karcen

" Go team" Lapis said her voice almost as flat as always yet ever since the reveal of the plague suckers she had been acting a bit off. This oddity could be heard in her voice there was an edge a nervousness to hurry.

Lapis did realize she was not acting how she should, she was a huntress she should be calm. Yet she could not suppress and odd bubbling sensation a desire to move about, to hurry to find where the Grimm were hidden. She had seen this before yet she did not remember if she had felt it and how to deal with it. Lapis knew she was feeling anxious, she was nervous. It was something strange to the ever cold hunter to have such feelings emerge after so long when not even looking at certain death had made her feel this way. It was the Grimm they were causing this she had never feared them yet she avoided anything that was like them even the normal insects. Lapis did not like this feeling she wanted it gone she wanted to go back to her normal so she could focus, she was going on a mission yet she was not calm.

" Can we go now?" Lapis asked that same anxiety just barely audible in her voice.

Sean smiles and nods at Peter's reaction to his introduction. 'I know, it's a mouthful.' He thinks as he looks around the shifting group and arrival other people. 'Things could be getting interesting.' But rather then shift his attention and focus on the new guy named Gilford, he takes a half step towards Peter.

The idea starts to form in his mind that he might be able to like Peter, he seems like a nice and friendly enough guy. "So... We take a stroll through the woods, armed with an assortment of heavy weapons like it's a totally normal thing?" Looking up at group. "And all while avoiding cameras that might be obvious?" Sean grinned and put his hand on top of Peter's. "I like it. I'm in. Go Team!" Sean looked to Lapis, forcing his smile just a bit, before shifting to watch Gamora as she leaves. "Well usually it's the people that fail to notice me." He shrugs as if not being noticed is a normal part of his life. 'It's because I just like to listen and watch.'

Cassie

Cassie was left dumbfounded by this new Sterling. Could a Vapor really be well-intended? Sonora seemed to like his attitude, but Clifford, not so much. Who should she side with? It was a tough question and, to answer it, she demanded more info.
"Not fond of your own branch?"
"Well, I don't mean to sound whiny." Gilford added while they walked. "They raised me, after all. But I can't turn a blind eye to the crimes they commit. If I get in charge one day, I'll-" Just as he was getting excited, however, the young lad cut himself. "Sorry, here I go rambling again. We're almost there, though, so hang on tight!"
When they arrived, Damian was already by the entrance; the entrance was wooden arch big enough to fit an Ursa. Damian himself seemed taken aback as he stared into the inside of the colossal tent, taken aback by something inside it. He said:
"Even here... This is too much!"
He definitely wasn't reacting out of nothing. Walking in closer, the inside of the main installation revealed itself: it was luxurious, excessive, and golden everywhere, with crystal chandeliers, ludicrous amounts of air conditioning and a 30-feet-long table stretched out in the middle, some of its many seats already taken. It was truly a sight to behold, dazzling, yet also intimidating. Either way, the lions' den never looked so classy.

Peter

Lapis' hurry was a tad unsettling, but Peter could definitely understand her reasons and, on top of that, Sean had just vouched for what was the crazier idea out of the two, which quickly lit his face up in excitement. He brought his hands up and completed the call:
"Go team! Let's go for a stroll."
Before long, the surprise task force was out and about on the Sterlings camp. Guards and camera where everywhere, and so were the monsters, all chained up and locked in cages. Between those, dozens upon dozens of white plastic tents, any of which coukd hold the answers for our group. They looked so conspicuous in their demeanor that it actually managed to turn back around and go inconspicuous again. But whatever they did in that sprawling tent maze, it was imperative that they kept their eyes open and their weapons ready. (You're open to find any enemies/shady operation clues during your turn. I'll build on top of it when I post)
