This is basically a Demon x Human pairing. Not exactly a demon, but Ian doesn’t know otherwise. He used to live in a hellish realm. Unlike most demons though, he can travel back and forth at will. He just doesn't like Hell.
In the first version of this pairing I explored meeting up with a mundane girl stuck in retail hell. In this story I am looking for a somewhat less conventional girl. Still, the pairing needs to make sense. He would avoid a police officer or a criminal. He's not looking for trouble.
Ian has no ID, no car, no drivers license, no bank accounts, no SSN. He gets around on an electric bike. He lives off the grid, but very urbanized. He pays cash for everything. He works jobs that pay strictly cash under the table. Even the place where he lives is paid for by cash.
Despite being a demon, Ian lives by certain ethics. He won’t get involved with a married woman. Neither will he be party to cheating. He will try to avoid situations that would make him show an ID. He absolutely refuses to beg. He normally finds work doing unskilled labor.
He is NOT a cat person. He hates them; they hate him. Yes, this means your character can’t have a cat. However, you could have friends that do. Should you ever visit where he lives, the reason for this will become very clear.
