The Charming Llama
McCree knew this was a mistake. Him leading a team? He hadn't done anything like that since he'd been a part of The Deadlock Gang; even then Ashe had done most of the real leading. McCree knew he wasn't the kind who could lead a team, certainly not Blackwatch; which was another bad idea. Telling Jack that, as McCree found, was a useless effort. Despite how Blackwatch had practically ruined Overwatch, Jack continued to argue that the problem had lay with people like Gabriel and Moira. Jack had used a lotta other fancy talk'n to justify the decision to bring back Blackwatch; which had been enough to get McCree go with his leader. Though he'd adamantly told Jack that he would complain the whole time; Jack had just laughed and thanked McCree agreeing to the job.

So now McCree was here, standing in the main hall of the Blackwatch operations building, waiting for his new team. He'd been surprised when Jack told him that it was still here and not demolished. Despite having left Blackwatch on the...not so best of terms...McCree still felt a bit of nostalgia for this place; it was just as he remembered. Having only read the files on these recruits, McCree was both eager and nervous to meet them for the first time. A scrap samurai, an explosive obsesionist, a tech savy sniper, and a one eyed juggernaut. Throw in a grizzled cowboy and that made for a very....unique team. Still, Jack had hand picked them. So, McCree just had to trust that good 'ol 76 knew what he was doing.

Looking down at his watch, McCree knew that they'd be here any minute. In fact, he heard the feint sound of approaching feet. He took a deep breath, "here we go, Blackwatch take two."

The scrap samurai known primarily as Ronin was the first to step through those doors. There was no way the young man would risk missing out on this, even if he did enjoy being fashionably late usually. His reccomendation from the Cyborg Ninja which had gotten him to Jack Morrison and then ultimately to Blackwatch had been lifechanging. From struggling on the simple streets of Kanezaka to now being a part of the second coming of the famous... or rather famous Blackwatch. It was quite a shift in his lifestyle, that much was certain.

As he stepped inside his eyes wandered about the setting. Yup, this looks exactly how he always pictured a black ops operation meeting room looking. Then his eyes landed on their would be leader, Jesse McCree. His understanding had been this guy was on the original Blackwatch. He had to wonder, would the cowboy be able to avoid the mistakes from last time. Only time could truly tell. For now Xaos would do what he always did, ease nerves with some remark drenched in sarcasm.

"No need to look so nervous cowboy, it's just Blackwatch. No biggie." He commented, stepping further inside.

The soft sound of squeaking and padded feet would slowly grow ever closer to the meeting hall, followed by somewhat hurried steps of another "Cheddar come back! It's just a few small adjustments to your payload.......oh hi" A short girl buried in an oversized hoody would suddenly emerge around the corner with what looks like an oversized novelty plush rodent. Waving with what looked to be a strange device with yellow LED's she would instead quickly conceal the item within the large front pocket and scan around those present before immediately honing in on Mcree "Huh wait did he say...Oh wait is that the same guy who did that awesome route 66 train stunt? Are we really going to get to blow up stuff like that here?! "

Her young voice had quickly gained an incredible amount of excitement, bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet with clenched hands while the plush creature was making a similar motion "Ths is so going to be better than back home, I knew i made the right call by not triggering those....oh with this fancy place what sort of tech do we get to play with? Is there a Lab? Jetfuel? Azidoazide Azide?" looking around as her excitement grew "Oh wait if this is that Watch thing, Does that mean there's that dwarf too? or the Hamster and Monkey?"

The third set of footsteps came, more audible than the last two. It sounded heavier and more mechanical as it came close. Just like the files describes. A fairly tall armored lad with an impressive physique. A figure of green with a few highlights of red approaches the gunslinging champion. Their rather slow pace of walking gives more observation time to the individual himself. He has a helmet over his head with its neck protected with a thick collar, metallic arms twice larger than what a human hand is supposed to be, one faint glowing red bulb over where the eye should be. This is no doubt, WR. Tower. One of Jack's recommended units for the new leader of Blackwatch.

A relatively clean record so far as he seems to be one of the newer ones on the job. The armored fellow removed his crowned helmet with one hand, revealing his face. A grinning young man whose eye aligns to the helmet's red-eye light. A contrast to his exterior first impression. The young man made past his towards the new faces and directly to the cowboy himself to offer him a handshake with his huge right hand.

"Pardon me, it is rude to talk in front of my new leader with this thing on. It's an honor to be working with you, Sir! I hope I didn't arrive too late."

"No need to look so nervous cowboy, it's just Blackwatch. No biggie."
McCree couldn't help but chuckle at that comment, "trust me, if you were here for the first Blackwatch, you'd be nervous too," he smiled as he pointed Xaos to head inside.

McCree was surprised to hear praise for that little adventure; he hadn't even realised the public knew about that. But he still blushed nonetheless. "Occasionally," McCree replied, "but not as often as you might like." He then gestured for her to join Kaos inside.

"Pardon me, it is rude to talk in front of my new leader with this thing on. It's an honor to be working with you, Sir! I hope I didn't arrive too late."
McCree shook the large hand, "just call me McCree. Sir, makes me feel old," he said with a smile, "others just went inside, so you're on time." Again, McCree pointed Jericho inside.

McCree looked down at his clipboard, there was just one person left. But, at that moment, he code an encrypted message from Jack. Seemed team member four ( g r i m g r i m ) was going to be late and that he should start without them. McCree sighed, "guess it's time to get started," he said to himself before heading inside.

McCree stood at the front of the room, looking at the three members in front of him. A mix bag for sure, but they seemed competent. Taking a deep breath, he began to speak. "Now, before I begin with formal introductions, I want to make one thing perfectly clear. Monet asked before whether any other members of Overwatch will be joining us. The answer is no. Aside from a few, very select legacy members, Overwatch does not know we are back in operation," McCree explained.

"Ideally, that is how our operation will remain; hidden from any public knowledge. Overwatch is just starting to regain a reputation and we can not risk damaging students reputation; that's what ruined Overwatch last time. Officially speaking, we have no affiliation with Overwatch. Outside of this room, we will not refer to this operation as Blackwatch. And, if we run into Overwatch in the field, we may need to engage; though there are contingencies in place for that."

McCree then looked around. "Now, time for introductions. Please state your name, code name, and specialisation. If you also have a question, ask it."

"Way I see it, we ain't the last Blackwatch, right? Then we shouldn't be held to the standards of what they did." He said with a shrug as he walked in. He watched the others walk in and make their greetings with their new leader. It seemed he had gathered quite an eclectic group of people. So many different backgrounds and skillsets within this one team. If nothing else was certain, the one thing that was was that this new Blackwatch would be interesting. After listening to McCree speak, it was the scrap samurai who stepped up.

"My name is Xaos Nightheart. I've been called many things, Scrap Samurai seemed to be a favorite back home. But, I've always called myself Ronin. So, that's gonna be my code name here." He stated, looking over the others. "You want someone who knows how to get around numbers, I've got experience there. Fought the Hashimoto clan almost entirely on my own back in Kanezaka. But beyond that, if you need someone who can get in close, get in quick, and deal some serious damage, I'm your guy." After that, he would turn to their leader. "No questions." He said, before moving back to the center of the room.

Being ushered in by McCree inside after, he shared a soft chuckle with the new leader's smile. Stepping inside first to meet the new team he is assigned to, felt welcomed already. The armor he wears had noticeable sounds. Other than the heavier thuds of his armored boots, multiple faint sounds of electric whirrings and metal clanking can be heard up close. Just right around he saw two new faces he has never seen before. One tall man armed with a blade of sorts appears far more agile than he is and a small woman with mouse-themed equipment. He didn't seem to judge whatsoever.

"Greetings."

He followed with a quick nod shortly after. The big-arms fellow stood in line with the other new recruits, focused directly on what McCree is about to announce. Standing still wondering if this really all of them. Turns out there are very select people within the group of Blackwatch. After all, they were covert ops. Raising an eyebrow at the mention of Overwatch member encounter contingencies which McCree has yet to explain. His grin turned to a calm blank expression. It is now time to introduce themselves to the team, as expected. Ronin as he prefers to call him from this point on has explained his experience to qualify as a Blackwatch agent. He simply nodded as indirect acknowledgment.

"Jericho Florentine, Codename: War Tower. I specialize in heavy assault combat, specifically urban combat close to mid-range. It's my job to give support fire for any assigned group. My W.R. armor suit is designed more for breaching purposes, it should be adaptable to anything else outside of its intended design. That will be all, sir."
