All the profiles look fine to me! No changes needed!

So, I'd like to make a request. And I'd like everyone to take their time in answering as there's no rush to start right this minute.

I'd like everyone to reply to me here in the OOC with two pieces of information:

1) What kind of life/profession you plan to give your character (like Pokemon Ranger, Contest Participant, Gym Challenger, Pokemon Breeder, Pokemon Law Enforcement, etc)

2) What your top 3 Pokemon regions are (if there are any universally shared region preferences, we'll pick one of them to start in together)

I'll get the ball rolling!

1) Yume will be a Gym Challenger

2) Kanto, Johto, and Unova

1 Carter is a pokemon professor apprentice. They're going to branch out and go into the woods with Popplio for protection and study pokemon up close. Which is useful because it means they can travel with the group, see pokemon in New regions or wherever they're going. (:


2 my favorite is galar, second favorite is probably Johto? And third would be Sinnoh perhaps.

omkaaa onto the questions

1) Was thinking possibly a sort-of researcher for Kekoa? Likely specialising in water types, sorta like a pokemon marine biologist... He's not particularly interested in battling or competition, so researching/studying pokemon will probably be the path he heads down.

2) Sinnoh, Alola and then Johto!

1.) Some flavor of Breeder, or caretaker, at the end, the Contest Hall debacle honestly just kinda made it as so that she wanted to see the world past her grandmothers worldview, right now she's leaving her options open to interpretation.

2.) Unova, Hoenn, Johto.

Also, yeah, it's perfectly applicable that Annie might hike it to another region all together due to the fact that Hoenn might have the age of majority as twenty, due to it's Japanese roots.

I was thinking it would actually be more appropriate to start in Olivine City.

The explanation would be that our characters had all made it here via cruise ship. And we can either arrange to have met and mingled a bit before landing, or we can meet on landfall as we're disembarking.

What do you guys think?

EDIT: And if we met on board during the trip, it'd be a good idea to figure out what the initial meeting was like so we know how they'll treat and speak to each other once they make landfall.

I need to think what Carter would be doing on a cruise ship that would get them to talking to others... perhaps some activity on the ship, they like trying new interesting things, and someone would have to strike the conversation with them rather Carter starting

Yume's quite sheltered, so she probably wouldn't be the one to implement a conversation. But she's curious about other cultures and activities than those she grew up with. So she'd definitely be hovering and watching any activities like games, music performances, dances, etc happen on board.

So she'll be around. Just not talkative cause, ya know, she's shy. XD

Carter has lots of talents and is known to be a showoff in the past. They sort of avoid talking about their talents now, but probably wouldn't mind showing them off in a tournament.

It could require like, teaming up for the last challenge, and they're kinda forced to communicate.

Annie just straight up just wants to build trust with Edan the Torchic so he doesn't freak the fuck out when she finally can't withhold from nuzzling him.

It could definitely be a thing, yeah. Bunch of Pokemon trainers and adventurous types all gathered in the same place is bound to raise the competitive nature in most people.

So yeah, it'll work to have something like that happen.

Given that she only just got Charmander, Yume probably won't participate in anything that calls for battling. But anything more creative and artsy would be something she might at least try her hand at.

Carter isn't interested in battling at all. I think Jumps trainer is more extroverted (:

Carter is probably more talkative when you get to know them, since they might realize it's okay to talk about their hobbies or something,beyond their social awkwardness they're quite lonely

Annie is literally fleeing home, by comparison.

As an as aside, she's gonna jump in just about anything but battling herself, even if she sucks at it.

So, everyone but Kekoa is a socially awkward and reluctant introvert yet to learn that it's okay to open up if/when the right people come along.

Anywhoosle. I think a good plan would be to say that they meet while disembarking. I'm gonna set things up so there's a luggage handling mishap which (even if it's a tad plot convenient) puts all their bags in the same place. That'll force them all into close proximity. And good ol' Kekoa can be their extroverted self and help break the ice.

Does that sound like it'll work for everyone?

Carters just exploring I suppose they have no goal, but they have money so they don't particularly need to struggle/don't have a need to fight.

They figure they'll fight if a wild pokemon focuses on them when they're studying the, so they can save all their fighting for that.

Granted that means they probably don't know how battling works
