War. From minor tactics to grand strategy, is a dangerous thing. It can kill, destroy, ruin. War does this not only to people, but also to cities, ideas, and relationships. Some things can be kept after war but not all of it can be the same. The surroundings, the people, the world, but one thing that can't be changed are the feelings that existed during the bloodshed. The hate, the love, the confusion, it all happens during war. So, what happens when you bring back some of those once very real feelings? After all, anything can happen at the right price. Especially when the Gods are involved.


Hey there this is an idea I had after hours and hours of straight brainstorming and research hope you like it! The Knights of Olympus roleplay is a Percy Jackson rp (as the title says) based after the events of the entire book series. The year the rp is beginning in is 2018 because that gives plenty of time after the events of the books even what's currently being written so Apollo/Lester and friends are back from the adventure and the rest of the gang is (presumably) out in the world settled and doing what they want which gives space for new characters to show up/come to light if you know what I mean. This rp is about the Knights of Olympus, an order of Demigods that protect Camp Halfblood and combat global threats that even not of Greek mythology (ie. mortal villains who can see through the Mist, rogue automatons, other demigods, ect.) whatever comes their way, the Knights of Olympus will defeat it. The Intro (first paragraph) is about the first plot/important quest (with many more to come) which is about a veteran (or veterans) of the Demigod war coming back to life bent on revenge at the camp for betraying him(or her or them) . This is when the Demigods of the camp band together to fight the villain and thus the Knights of Olympus is created. This rp is for those out there who are loyal and or enjoy longer rp's so it doesn't die out so quickly just after the first thing is done. I hope you will join me for this rp (gm's open) and we'll have lots of fun [‘ᴥ’].

Rules:
1: Be active (at least 1-2 posts a week and don't leave people hanging on interactions please. If you need help on a reaction just ask me. Happy to help
1.5: 1 paragraph (4-6 sentences per post. Shouldn't be too hard even if you just write about the enviorment lol.
2: No god modding/ auto hitting pretty explainable don't make your character super op lol. Percy wasn't good at the start of his journey so neither do we!
3: No mary/ gary sues. Also explainable just make sure your character has flaws and problems. Pretty easy don't worry too much about this one if I think your character is too perfect I'll tell you.
4: Oc's only. If you wanna rp as a cannon character pm me but most characters are adults and moved on. Also later some cannon characters might show up who knows ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).
5: Cursing is allowed. Just no excessive cursing so if your character is mouthy just *** the word.
6: If you can't think of any abilities or things of the sort for your character just look at this link and maybe you'll find some Cabins
7: If there is an argument in the occ just pm me and I'll fix it.

You can be Co gm I am welcome to that doesn't matter experience as long as you have an idea of what you're doing. To get in the Knights just ask and they'll probably just say sure. The Knights aren't going to be prestigious or special in any way it's just demigods that got together. Very casual. Never turn down someone who's willing to help lol. And Roman characters are allowed but there has to be some type of way they got to Camp Halfblood instead of camp Jupiter. Like how everyone thought Jason was Greek until he was claimed. That's allowed. For housing they'll be housed in the same cabin as their parent's Greek Counterpart like how Jason Grace was in the Zeus cabin though he's the child of Jupiter.

Typically when people think of the children of Hypnos that see individuals to spend their time sleeping or daydreaming. Andromeda is a bit like this in terms of daydreaming. She a deep-thinker and tends to get lost in her own world if she's not engaged in conversation. Andromeda can be lazy at times not but she does go out and do things when the mood strikes her. Andy is the type of girl who enjoys stopping to smell the flowers. If someone wants something done quickly then she’s not the person to go to. Andromeda usually does things at her own pace. Because of her mannerisms and her godly parents people tend to believed that the curly-haired girl isn’t intelligent. Andromeda is in fact a smart girl and observant as well. She soaks up knowledge like a sponge. She’s an open-minded person who’s always willing to lend a shoulder or ear. Andromeda is surprisingly insightful for her age. She’s been called an old soul by some.

History:
Andromeda lived with her mother and younger half brother, and Stepfather. She had a pretty normal life up until she came to Camp Halfblood. Andromeda was a senior in high school. She wasn't extremely popular but she had her own group of friends that she would spend time with. Her mother owned a bakery, where she worked at with her little brother. Andromeda had always wondered about her father and why he wasn't apart of the family. She never told this to her mother though. Andromeda would ignore these feelings. She figured that she was lucky enough to have a wonderful Stepfather and that if her biological day didn't want to stay then it was his lost. When she came to Camp Halfblood Andromdea was surprised. She would have never guessed that ordinary old her would be a Demigod. She found that she liked the camp. She enjoyed meeting her half siblings as well.

They could climb the smoothest of walls, dance across rooftops, and glide across battlefields like a leaf upon the wind. Their elegant movements were renowned, and their speech among the most articulate of the demigods.
As a child of Hermes, Trevor possesses agility and reflexes that far surpass normal human ability, and is capable of surviving falls that would kill ordinary mortals. Trevor also possesses the ability to manipulate the friction on his body (e.g making his feet frictionless to slide across floors as if it were slippery ice, or clinging to walls like a gecko). This comes in handy for when he’s escaping pursuers who might find themselves unable to get a grip on him.
Using his powers saps away at his bodily energy, which he gains mostly from food. If Trevor burns through his energy reserves too quickly, he risks serious malnutrition.


Other Skills: Even without the active use of his powers, Trevor is a skilled thief. He can scale walls easily and is a good enough burglar to steal whatever he needs without it being much of a challenge. He has a keen eye for appraising items and has some experience in haggling. And gambling. He's got one hell of a poker face.

Strengths: For all of his crassness, Trevor still has a good heart, which he often wears on his sleeve. He has a strong devotion to his family at camp, and makes a point to look out for others even when no one else will.

Flaws: Trevor's fatal flaw is temerity. He's not a person who takes much seriously, and he's liable to charge headlong into danger believing he is less pregnable than he actually is. He is recklessly bold in defiance of authority, and is inclined to disregard their warnings or advice even if they're ultimately right.

The birth certificate lists Trevor’s middle name as ‘Nathaniel’ after his grandfather, though ‘Mischief’ would have been a more honest appellation. The need to tweak the nose of the next highest authority figure has been present seemingly since birth. He’s intelligent, though not overly burdened with self-control. Boredom is something for which he’d never possessed any tolerance, and his self-devised antidotes for it can range from subtle to cataclysmic. Outwardly, he is open, garrulous, and irreverent, but when he chats someone up, he is simultaneously sizing them up: as a potential ally, opponent, or mark. While he’ll sometimes make a deliberately provoking remark just to see the kind of response he’ll get, it’s never done in mean spirit. He can be polite when he wants to, but those who don’t reciprocate his courtesy might find their underwear drawer sprinkled with itching powder, or greased slugs released in their beds.

Trevor is staunchly loyal to his friends and family, and while he has little patience for other people's rules, he has his own code that he live by. Promises given are promises kept. He will never steal from those less advantaged than him, and refuses to double-cross an ally. If someone were to betray him, he won't get mad. He'll get even; and then some.

Trevor steals as instinctively as others draw breath, but unlike his siblings, he is completely uninterested in taking typical items like money, jewelry, silverware, or anything conventionally valuable. Instead, he breaks into people's places so he can eat their food. Part of it is just for the thrill, he supposes. Stealth and thievery are challenges he relishes, his pickings a way of keeping score. Once his own needs are met, he's more than willing to share his remaining morsels with others, so long as they ask nicely of course.


Biography


If his mother Victoria was to be believed, Trevor's father was an absolute heartthrob. He was a charming man, both handsome and dashing enough for any woman to blush at his passing. Their love, however, was fleeting and his parents broke off their relationship long before the pregnancy became apparent. By the time Trevor came into the world, Dad had skipped town, leaving Victoria alone without any idea of how to raise a child.

Trevor grew up in a small house with his mother and his grandparents, living a somewhat normal life while terrorizing all the teachers at school with his antics. He fought with other students, was unable to sit still for more than fifteen seconds, and spent most of his class-time doodling or mindlessly rapping his fingers on his desk. The teachers he actually liked were those who could find a way capture his interest and intellect, but the math teacher who taught him sleight-of-hand tricks would come to regret that decision as those skills translated easily to thieving and pickpocketing. Trevor made a game out of emptying his pockets at the end of the day, showing off all the things he’d stolen to his friends.

His demigod powers manifested shortly after his twelfth birthday, an event that changed everything in Trevor's life. A minotaur had taken the form of a kindly old neighbor across the street from the Ross' house, and, when the opportunity presented itself, he attacked the boy as he walked home from school. By some stroke of luck, Trevor overcame the cocksure beast as he opened its throat with a pocket knife. When he confessed what had happened at the dinner table that night, his grandparents gave him nothing more than a dismissive wave, believing his story to be yet another fantasy. Mom was not so oblivious. Unwilling to risk the lives of her family and possibly others, Victoria notified the satyrs at Camp Half-Blood immediately.

What happened next went by in a blur. Trevor could barely remember his trip to Camp Half-Blood, only that he was told it would be his new home. The first few months found him being more reclusive than normal, and while he never shed a tear in public, he desperately missed his family. In time, Trevor grew to appreciate his new family at camp, and the next few years would remain uneventful as he acclimatized to being a year-rounder. He accumulated a small circle of friends while antagonizing his betters, but as of late, the camp's peaceful nature has been making him restless once again.

He also keeps a toolbox, a few pencils, and one or two pieces of jewelry he made himself.

As a child of Hephaestus, he is an expert smith and armorer whose quality of work is well-regarded even among his own siblings. He can make, upgrade, and repair all sorts of weapons, machines, and devices including automatons, armor, and vehicles. He's one of only a handful in Camp Half-Blood who knows how to work and reshape Celestial Bronze

Other skills: Randy is a skilled driver behind the wheel of any car. He can drive with rapt focus, taking sharp corners and escaping potential accidents with ease. He's no doctor, but he can competently perform first aid when needed and determine the severity of one's injuries. He is, of course, fluent in both English and Ancient Greek; he can speak and read some fractured Korean, though it requires a lot of concentration.

Personality


Long used to the reactions his size and countenance tend to inspire, Randall has developed a calm, almost diffident demeanor, the rumbling bass of his voice carefully modulated so as to not intimidate. He is quiet by nature, saying little, but listening and observing closely to whatever happens around him. In social situations, he is polite but demure, a consequence of him having had no real friends as a child, apart from his oldest sister. He's been coming more out of his shell since coming to camp, though he has no real experience in building or maintaining friendships, and is still not completely acclimated to the fact that he is no longer considered a pariah by default. When he lets his guard down, he can display a subtle sense of humor and a keen intelligence.

As a smith and engineer, he is both competent and confident, his big hands surprisingly deft as they handle machinery, or strong as he hammers a still-hot sword. He likes to talk as he works, usually walking his imaginary listeners through the process of his smithing. He shares his knowledge as openly as he shares his skills. Randy has always had a fatalistic and pragmatic approach to life, and puts a lot of pride in his self-sufficiency. He trains hard and studies, constantly striving to improve himself, but rarely allows himself time to relax.

Despite being a decent fighter in his own right, Randy avoids engaging in violence when he can. His experiences and training in camp have left him capable enough to take care of himself, but while he will fight when necessary, he is very slow to anger. He'd rather walk away from an altercation --- even at the risk of being called a wimp -- than get drawn into a needless fight.

The children of Ares are more aggressive and martial than most demigods. As offspring of the war god, Lara has incredible martial abilities with an extensive knowledge of combat, as well as, superior strength and overall physical prowess. Some are even given a blessing of invincibility by their father for their bold courage and righteous wrath in battle. Lara has not yet been granted Ares' Blessing in battle. Honestly, she wishes to need it one day in the future. Her father Ares has gifted her [and cursed her] with:
Telumkinesis; the ability to manipulate weaponry. Lara is able to wield this ability to a professional extent. Most any weapon she lays her hands on, becomes one that she can use efficiently and professionaly. Her hands favour metal weapons however, thus she is a better shot with a knife than she is with an wood arrow. Or even, better with a metal arrow than a wooden one. A few years into being at the camp she became angered by a young and naive camper who would not listen to her instructions. His steel sword turned to a rubber one the next time he swung lazily.

Odikinesis; the ability to manipulate feelings and emotions of war (such as hate and rage). Countless times in battle Lara has allowed this ability to project on to her opponent. She has very little control over it when it breaks forth, and when it happens altogether. Like a sheet over herself and those nearby, Lara's anger will cover others without remorse. In the past, she has found her lack of control endangers both her and her opponent. She loses sense, and her opponent often becomes much more aggressive, making the fight unfair for both of them. In some cases she has fought past her own gift it and defeated her opponent with the advantage of their blindside. She revels in the feeling of being able to make others feel, but she would never tell anyone that. They might consider her something evil. While she revels in it during a fight, it still happens out side of the battle, and she has caused arguments and unwanted feelings of anger for her fellow campers. There are general abilities that all demigods possess which included:
Superhuman Strength: stronger than any human. As a daughter of Ares, Lara is far stronger than her fellow campers, and similar to her half brothers and sisters.
Superhuman Speed and Agility: faster and more agile than humans.
Superhuman Durability: much more durable that humans. As a daughter of Ares, Lara can take more damage for a more prolonged amount of time.
Superhuman Healing: can heal faster and with more finality than humans and sustain far greater damage.
Superhuman Senses: five senses (hearing, smelling, sight, etc) are greatly increased.

- during training she has practiced endlessly to regain control when her Odikinesis takes over, thus making mistakes much less common
- she takes pride in her many honed skills, and believes in a pride her father might feel for her, and same, with her mother. these feelings spur her on every day, and they will till she ceases to exist.
- her Telumkinesis is perhaps her greatest physical strength, while her greatest mental strength is, quite simply, her mother's smile

- her ADHD and Dyslexia have molded her into a very irritable person over her eighteen years of life. her senses feel amplified, and unfortunately, she notices a lot. enough at least to annoy the hell out of her constantly. this is what she suspects keeps a constant flow of anger within her, even if she does not act on it, behind her smile and her calm voice is a snarl waiting to be unleashed, at the boy across the path who is not holding his sword right. she hates the way it affects her, but she would gladly take it for the rest of her life if it meant the fight was always a sure one.
- the consequences that come with her Odikinesis has made her an extremely closed off person, and unfortunately, disliked by many of the camp. even some of her own half brother and sisters can't stand her. very, very few have a familiarity with the deepest recesses of Lara's whirring mind. Lara's problem is that she makes no effort to challenge her own mind.
- as mentioned before, her Odikinesis an affect her in a fight and make her precise movements less precise, and her opponent bloodthirsty, thus causing great danger
- she has never left the camp in her 9 years of being there, thus would need a lot of guidance in the outside world
