Penzington-Hale
Penzington-Hale House. A boarding school/home for teenagers that deal with mental illness or behavior problems. You've likely struggled your entire life to fit in or be normal. You tend to see things that aren't. Remember events you never experienced, have trouble paying attention or remembering recent events. Perhaps you have anger issues or ADHD. Perhaps you have physical diseases or disabilities. Deafness, Blindness, Paralysis.You've struggled to cope with these issues and they have brought you to enrollment at Penzington-Hale House.
Here at Penzington-Hale we view everyone as equals. Our professors are some of the most intelligent and qualified in their fields and are trained to help those with disabilities. Upon your stay at Penzington-Hale you are forbidden from distractions of the outside world. You are allowed to send mail to your friends and family however leaving the grounds is forbidden without the permission and escort of a professor.
At Penzington-Hale you will recieve the highest quality of education from our professors and will be attending duties as a students consisting of chores and participation of events. We feature a garden attended by our staff and students, a stable with horses, a library, dorms and much more.
You will work your way to recieving higher freedom within Penzington-Hale, as you progress individually you will unlock more priviledges. We hope that Penzington-Hale House for the Afflicted will change your life forever.
Plot
You begin to notice strange things about Penzington-Hale. You see things that don't actually happen. Find clues only for them to disappear when you try to tell anyone about them which only make your stay at Penzington-Hale worse as more care is put into monitoring your behavior and mental state. People continue to act strange and sometimes even stranger. You and a group of other skeptics form a club to uncover the mysteries of Penzington-Hale. Murders that occured at the school, strange things that occur at night and the twisted history of the school.
Rules
We're gonna play as students in the 1950s attending Penzington-Hale. You can play as a professor or a student with some sort of disability. You can play as someone arriving or someone who has spent time already at the school. I highly encourage world-building and character development and interactions. Creating a sense of history and depth to the setting is highly encouraged, if you have ideas I would love to hear them.
This RP takes alot of inspiration from Dark Academia and other genres like horror. So names of characters, setting and the general feel of the RP will reflect this. Multiple characters are allowed. I will get a discord server, and other threads up when I get enough interest.
