Thee days, and more importantly it Zestra 2 nights they had flown and now they reached the shores. The nights had been important as Zestra had many things she wished to test and many times it was easier to do so at night. There were rituals that she had used to gain classes and contact allies, items she saved from the game as souvenirs that now had a use once more. She could call out to the cosmos and seek a reply from the forces beyond this world. The night's sky the thing she had so loved and wished to know but had only rarely seen before was now clear of any pollution and full of secrets. The rituals had in the end worked calling allies down from beyond in ways that were not summoning like she had done. They were real and only loyal to her because she was more favored than them by the god else could make a proper deal with them. It was so very different than in the game, here what she called was real. She had called flesh and blood, or as close as they came to being such into the material world without using a spell.

This opened the door to so many possibilities the gods might just be real and she might have more pull with them than any other priest might any other god on this world would have with theirs. She could usher in their reign and bring about a new world from the ashes of the current one. She could but she wouldn't Zestra had some semblance of a conscious left and knew how much death that would cause. The idea of killing gave Zestra no pause, she didn't even care and in fact was sad she didn't see any huts on their way here to use for sacrifice to call out to creatures further beyond this realm. Still to likely end all none outsider races was a bit much even for her.

When they arrived at the coast Zestra looked down as Fabain spoke and she got an idea " If there is a shallow reef i have friends to contact, a skilled work force to help us with the finner details" Zestra said thinking of the deep ones who must exist but she needed to be near water to call to them.

Fabian nodded in ascent, his eyes on the horizon as the land and ocean passed below the massive vessel. "Admiral, Make it so. Alert me of any reefs are found, and a large island or islands. I want our potential new home to be hard to reach by anyone unfriendly." He said, looking over at the Superior Homunculous piloting the ship.

"It shall be done my lord and lady." The former NPC replied before barking out orders to the rest of the crew on deck. As the Crew busied themselves fulfilling their tasks, Fabian returned his attention back to his Co-guildmaster.

"These friends of yours, are they who i think they are? The Amphibian-Fish-man kind?" He asked, crossing his arms and giving his head a slight tilt to subtly emote curiosity. He had learned that despite still having more emotional capacity than his friend, it was still hard to convey tonally. So he had took it upon himself to use more body language consciously to keep from any mixups.

Two Hours later

The sun had far passed beyond it's zenith when the lookout finally cried out. "Supreme ones! Island spotted! Looks to be two of them!" She called out pointing in the direction of the landmass just south of their position, 20 miles off the mainland.

Looking out over the railing, just as the sun began to set upon the horizon, bathing the ocean and skies in pastel colors of orange and red, with bands of violet. And Just as the lookout had said, there sat a set of islands. One Massive island with a smaller one looking to be almost wrapped up by the larger one. Both mountainous and covered in Verdant jungle. From what he could see, the sands were a pristine white, while the shore of the smaller isle as black as jet. A strange occurrence, but an oddly welcome one. "Zestra, I do believe we might have found our new home. Shall we take an aerial tour before settling in on the isles?" He asked, his gaze lingering on the setting sun. "What shall we call this place?"

“Beach episode on the horizon.”

“Five hundred and fifty-four…” — He tossed the light aside, and it hung mid-air much the same way rocks did. They didn’t. Gravity was still a thing, far as he knew.

He lingered on the silence for a moment, tense as he slouched onto his work — scattered stones and multi-color prismas lining up the workbench in perfect disorder, some of them even wallowed and plunged into the stark-white abyss. Stones hitting the border of that pristine, blank void. The little office chair giving slightly, groaning as he leaned in with a bit more of that stiffness to him. Still, not the noise he was looking for.

He looked at the gems rolling, like someone had turned a rockslide into a bumbling, still cutting teeth, idiot of a herd of puppies stumbling into their doom, rolling, and rolling away from him. Midas squinted at them with a face so scrunched you would’ve thought he’d had a dozen raw lemons for breakfast. A soul-piercing glare, chagrin, as though he were trying to telekinetically construct that noise into shape.

It never really came. He’d thrown the orb of light too far from the pile. He muttered a curse under his breath and rocked back into the chair, pushing the desk and all its mess away. His fingers snapped, one of his rings flashed, and he pulled his entire arm forward with the finesse of that of a fisherman. The orb of light flew from the all-devouring white surround him and plunged straight into the 15-meter strong pile of raw ore.

He sighed heavily —
“Five-five-four.”

Big numbers had always been a feast for the eyes for him. A quick high for that ‘vanity in the mirror’ side of him, got his ego pumped for the next awfully long joyride in the perpetual grind of every RPG. These past few days Jin had devolved to the old ways, hard at work in the dungeon. He was practically trapped forevermore in the dungeon, not much of anything else to do anyways.

“Five hundred and fifty-five.” — Another one for the pile.

He’d isolated himself in the confines of the ancient laboratory once the misc-crafter class jargon exchange had concluded with Fabian. The half-golem hadn’t given him any life changing pointers, mostly material and stat distribution tips for golemancy, nonetheless, something worthwhile had stirred from that exchange. As though hunks of men flexing at each-other, or silver-spooned multi-millionaires boasting their net worth, like real crafter mains would, they both showed off their methods of crafting.

Midas had shown Fabian the sheer game-breaking amount of luck his character had, the bonuses the Maddened Dice gave him, and the overall ease he had for crafting anything and all under the sun. The golem had shown him his way of duplicating resources to perfection, and he’d kept that memory in the back burner ever since. Fabian’s technique wasn’t anything out of this world, nothing he didn’t see before in Yggdrasil, but the utter effectiveness of it had him wide-eyed for a while.

Unlike his lazy, low-level duplication spells, Fabian’s could create a pure replica of the material. Not that shoddy 50% value carbon copy he was used to.

With his unfair crafting success values and Fabian’s equally unfair material duplication, Midas could finally create that frankenstein’s monster he’d been so dearly trying to achieve back in his Harvest days.

“Five hundred—something.”— All he had to do was mint that technique to make it a child of his own. Even if it meant trying to replicate it with his lackadaisical duplication spells.

He’d been going at it with a couple of good rolls of the dice and one or two casts of Luck V. So far, his original stock of materials had almost tripled in value, he went at methodical pace with each material, one by one; star silver, prismatic ore, scarletite, adamantite; you name it, it was there piled up behind him. Once he hit four digits, he would move onto the next material. And as he was nearing the six-hundreds on the leftmost pile of celestial uranium, a bright flash of light erupted behind him.

He turned to face the flood of light, stirring up a hot breeze that blew his hair back dramatically, made him stagger with his eyes squinted hard at it. It pulsed, settled down to a fine string of light as the image became clear. Midas had a moment of pause as the corners of his mouth trembled, overcome with mirth.

About a quarter of the whole pile was gone, but… —
“Ehe~” — he still felt like the richest man alive.

Never had it crossed his mind that the ultimate crafting material in-game could be obtained by simply stacking up a bunch of prismatic ore in an empty room, and has he toyed around with the caloric stone in his hand, he still had no clue where this impromptu mechanic had been hinted at gameplay-wise. He’d always had an eagle’s eye and was quick on the uptake for those hidden details, but the whole thing was missing a beat, he couldn’t quite wrap his head around it.

Though he wasn’t complaining. Not at all. After the first day he chucked it up to horrible game design and got to crafting a dozen more. Midas focused on duplicating only the prismatic ore in his stock, and not much later, after all the star silver and celestial uranium had been used up, he came out of his lab with almost double the amount of caloric stone he had before returning his stolen goods.

Midas was seen at the deck with an idiot smile plastered all over his kingly factions, rocking to the wind on a hammock he propped up between two wooden beams, a caloric stone engraved right in the center of it to add insult to injury. It wasn’t comfortable whatsoever, but the stone tore up his spine with the pains of success. And that, was more than enough for his ego to settle down.

A bit more grinding in the ancient labs and he may as well be stamping every creation of his with a caloric stone in the near future. But for now, the king would remain humble aboard the vessel.

After 48 hours of travel, he’d grown used to the metallic stirring of rotors and heavy metal-footsteps creeping by at night, the constant hammering at the forge, the cries of pain? of the beings Zestra summoned at night; his mind had zoned it all out. The airship was as quiet as a monastery to him at this point. The sun was bleeding red and orange on the horizon, blurring into hazy emptiness far up ahead, a whiff of sunburn, mint and rain eased up on him. Funny how he’d only ever seen such a scenery in the cover of a dark synth track. Never had he been this damn close to the ocean back in the real world.

He started humming to the cawing of gulls somewhere out there, but he was quickly snapped out of it when the lookout bellowed to the crew.

Midas shot up from the hammock and bid good riddance to its un-comfort, wanting to kiss the caloric stone goodbye on his way out, sadly, there wasn’t enough time for any of that —
“That’s one hell of a seaside resort right there…Are we sure we don’t want to advertise this as a tourist attraction? It’d sell nice.” — He leaned over elbows on the railings, cracking a smile as the wild breeze snapped his hair to the side.

One good thing about the draconic senses, voiding the sensory overload, is that he didn’t really need to get upclose and personal to get a good view of things anymore —
“Hm… Just looking at it all the way from here,”— he started — “Think I’d have to build a couple of bridges and teleporters to move us around properly, maybe even open a couple pathways to the outside world given how secluded it is from everything else. Trading and civilization might not be a real thing unless we create that civilization ourselves...” — Midas let out a nervous chuckle, his eyes narrowing as he noticed how bare and uneven the island seemed. Terraforming was going to be a pain, that he knew

“I say give me a day or two.”

" Some are, others aren't but they will share your love of ore" Zestra said a slight smirk on her lips. The smirk was a conscious effort to show her limited emotions. She still had them, but if she didn't remember to express them then she might come off as unfeeling.

Two hours latter

Zestra looked down on the island and the smirk she had had was dwarfed by the smile she now wore, her eyes alight with the sparks of humanity and something else. The island to her was prefect it could be divided so many ways and the mountain in the center, perhaps a dormant or extinct volcano instantly was what she wanted the most. Already she imagined a grand ziggurat, a massive temple of black stone. That was at least if the Migo didn't come through as their unearthly stone would make a grand temple for the old ones far more athletically pleasing. While the old ones might not care for what a temple looked like Zestra did and there was no way she would not work to make this place perfect. She wanted stone that looked like bits of space caught and brought down to form the outside, the inside could be black basalt polished and smoothed. Looking out from the center she could guess where fabain would gravitate, the mountains on the larger part of the island would make a great underground fortress workshop. With how much fabain liked that she still wondered why he wasn't half dwarf half golem instead of half human. What Midas would want, Zestra did not know, but already she was thinking what they would need and where they could place things. A harbor was a must for trade as they would need trade for sure and trade was good for impressions.

" I call dibs on the center volcano" Zestra said her voice deadpan " I do mean that by the way i want to build a grand temple there" She explained to make sure the other two got it. " As for building up a civilization and home, I think there is room somewhere on it for a harbor" She shrugged to show she didn't have that all planned out she wasn't an expert. " Do not work yourself to Hard Midas if you wish to work hard I suggest you think what you want to build for yourself and where, then we can move out to supporting others from this world or others" She said again making sure to include Midas as he was one of them and well the island might be uneven, but that didn't mean they should flatten it.

Aboard the Dreadnought, Loading Deck

Fabian and the assembled workforce and combat units assigned to guard said workforce stood in wait at the great ramp to the island's surface. As the massive airship came in for a final approach, multitudes of arcane crystal lamps began to illuminate the Landing Zone of the central island. It had been decided minutes before that they would land and break ground on the large lake at the center of the island within what seemed to be either a dormant or long dead volcano. Either way, if Zestra wanted to build a temple to the outer gods and old ones, it would make a rather badass place to do so.

"Lord Fabian, we are approaching the LZ. Area appears to be clear Sire." The Admiral's voice echoed through the deck, via a complex system of acoustic pipes. Grinning slightly Fabian, reached back and took a hold of PAM, pulling back the charging handle with a satisfying clack. Turning towards one of the menial golems standing beside the controls, he gave a nod.

Upon receiving the nonverbal command, the golem made of steel and copper took hold of the Lever, and pulled the with a resounding KA-CHUNK, followed by the grinding of gears as the Main ramp began to descend exposing the deck to the outside. Wind from the outside and the massive turbofans keeping the vessel aloft, whipped about the deck as the combat units prepped to disembark.

Bringing his left index finger up to his temple, Fabian wordlessly cast a messaging spell to his second in command and only true member of the EoA left besides him. "Vestra, we are about to disembark. Once the area is cleared, construction of a settlement shall commence. I recommend picking out an area for your Temple before we accidentally build over it. I also left you some surveying stakes in your chambers. Use them along with as many menials required to set up the outline for your structure. Also tell Midas to begin leveling the area once the initial area has been cleared"

With that he made his way to the end of the ramp and stepped off, his wings flaring to life, slowing his descent. moments later, he touched down and took a knee, sweeping his weapon across the area, prepared for hostile life, as golems and homunculi dropped to the surface weapons at the ready.

❖Chapter 1: The Final Moments | ISLAND PARADISE❖
LEVI
「THE LORD OF THE FIRST」
"COME ON YOU BASTARD" The voice of a young woman shouted as she propelled through the air. Below her a large shadow twisted, almost in response to her words, though this creature was merely just a bunch of 1's and 0's, so it couldn't respond to the insult she had just given off. The large maw of this creature opened and from it a distinct purple mist began to flood from the corners of its mouth. The creature was in fact a dragon, a world boss known as Fafnir. groups of people were surrounding it, other players who had joined the girl in some final day raiding, though with the few people that had been left online it was taking the group far longer than normal to finish up the boss. In fact it wouldn't be odd if the game actually ended before they got the kill.

The girl however who was soaring through the air towards the mouth of this creature brandished a heavy axe above her head. The Dragon Reeled back a little and let loose a blast of acidic spray from it's maw. "Greater Rune of Acid Resistance" Another players voice said as a magic formation appeared in front of the girl just before she got hit by the acid spray. She continued to move towards the creature at a breakneck speed her axe coming down heavy on it's head, causing the large dragon's head to slam against the ground from the sheer force. She jumped back off the dragon towards a man with a large tower shield in hand. "Why won't this Dragon Die!" She grumbled in annoyance. "Maybe if you weren't so reckless I could focus on attack and won't have to keep saving your ass Lucy" said the shield bearer. The girl looked extremely pissed at his comment, "Don't use my real name you idiot, we might be siblings but there's no excuse for bad in game manners" she said. "Right you are Leviathan, The Great Serpent, Lord of the First, and sister to the dumb Asmodeus... Maybe if you didn't make your character name so similar to your IRL one I wouldn't confuse them" He said, giving a sarcastic bow before retorting with how "Levi" was awfully close to "Lucy". Levi looked displeased but a wide swipe from the dragons claw which brought up solid into snǝpoɯs∀'s shield snapped he back into the battle.

Players around them set off a variety of skills and spells, and the fight began to draw to a close as Fafnir only had 10% HP left. Levi looked to the corner of her screen, only a couple minutes left till YGGDRASIL ended forever, she wanted nothing more than to be the MVP of the fight. "Alright, you little shit, It's Morbin time... Draconic Transformation" she says as her whole body glows, polymorphing into a large dragon, though still a fair bit smaller than Fafnir himself. The dragon looked like some kind of deep sea creature, though it had legs, so it could stand on land. The dragon's clashed together with Levi pinning Fafnir down with a bite attack, The Larger of the dragons struggled to regain ground but It's HP was being significantly lowered by the wide array of attacks that were being thrown at it. It Unleased another spray of acid from it's mouth before it went limp and dissipated into hundreds of pixels. Loud cheers rang out from the group who were fighting it, but they soon died off and people began to log out. With only thirty seconds left on the clock Levi undid her transformation and went over to her brother. Good fight, Bro" she said as she fist bumped her brother, Only 30 seconds left huh... I'm gonna miss it"[color]. two messages appeared on her screen [color=8400E0]「To everyone here at the end, thank you for everything. I had a blast building this guild and I hope we all meet again. Farewell, Friends」 one of them read, from their dearest guild leader, right at the end of the games run. The other was for a item drop, from Fafnir. "Haha... of course I would get a rare item right at the end of the game" she said looking at the image of a ring which had dropped from the boss. She closed her eyes, knowing that the next second she opened them, she would be logged out from the game.

She felt the cold rush of air on her skin, The sound of waves crashing against rocks filled her ears. She opened her eyes in confusion expecting to awake to the dim light of her room pouring in from the corners of her headset. Instead in front of her she finds a beach, sand beneath her toes, sea salt on the air, and the sight of a large ocean in front of her. C"What is going on.... Brian! Brian!"[/color] she shouts turning in circles trying to gain some sense of what the hell is happening. Her brother however, is nowhere to be found. She was on what she presumed to be an island but She couldn't really tell without going out and flying around to find out. However From what she could tell she was still in her games avatar and she still had access to all of her skills. She wondered for a moment if when the game ended they had launched the fabled YGGDRASIL 2, but the thought was quickly put out of her head, even though she wasn't the brightest bulb in the box she was smart enough to know that the technology to replicate the scene before her didn't exist yet. Suddenly she began to feel very hungry.

3 Days later...

3 days passed and Levi was finally getting use to life in the new world, she had built herself a little hut, though it was more of a pile of wood that was barely holding together more than anything, and she had began to make some progress in exploring the island. She had found a ton of wild game and her cooking skills had allowed her to process it and store it in such a way that it wouldn't go bad. Perhaps it was her demon characteristics but she didn't feel bad for killing the animals, she use to love watching videos of cute little rabbits and what not, but now they were just food. On the beach that she had first appeared on the distinct sound of meat sizzling against grill rang out as the fat dripped off what looked to be a juicy steak and burned on the grill below. Levi was dressed in a bikini, her skin lightly tanned from the sun, and she had a clear apron wrapped around herself that had the grill masters tools stored in various pockets. She took a spatula and flipped her steak, licking her lips as she added various spices to the top of it. As she finished up cooking the Grill disappeared into her inventory, though she still kept the apron on as she sat down on a near by tree stump to begin indulging in her feast. She looked up to the sky as an oddly shaped shadow passed over head, though she was surprised to see a massive ship floating through the air above her as it made it's way inland.

Levi Finished up he meal and tossed the T-Bone over her shoulder into the under brush. "Now then... Lets see who these surprise visitors are" She said as she picked up her axe near by and made her way towards where the ship was headed on foot. She came up to the lake where the ships forces began to descend and watched them of a minute before spotting a Dwarf who had just flown down with these super cool mecha wings. The group looked like they were ready for combat, and while Levi was always up for a fight she didn;t see any point in aggravating them, plus she new very little about this world so meeting other people might give her some insight into where she is. So She decided to casually stroll up. "Yo!" She said grabbing the attention of the group, "I come in peace so please don't start attacking". Her axe was propped up on her shoulder but she was still wearing just her Bikini, which she was cursing her self for now, if they did attack her armor would have provided some much needed defense. She gave the ship a glance over and could only smile about how cool it looked. "You people are the first that I've seen since I got here about 3 days ago, what brings you to this island in the middle of nowhere?" she asked.

Zestra had thought she had been clear the volcano island was hers, that would be her temple. It might boggle others, minds, but she would make the whole place into one massive multi tiered temple filled with plenty of rooms for different worship. She did have many gods that she was empowered by and should not snub by leaving out. That was at least the lore of her classes back in the game, how that worked here was a a bit of a mystery, but it was best to run with her assumptions. She also didn't plan to flatten the land just yet, she would build within and without the volcano.

Zestra rang her bell and cast fly instead of summoning something to carry her down. There were plenty of mounts she could have used, but sometimes a simple low tier spell was the right way to go. Moving with fly also made Zestra once more notice a big difference there was no air resistance, her clothes didn't flutter and fly about as they would on earth as she descended. " You misunderstood, the whole volcano island will be my temple" Zestra clarified, "though some docks and such will likely be needed anyways. " She explained the slumbering volcano would be hers the rest of the island, the separate part outside it which was much bigger could be split between midas and Fabain for whatever they wanted.

It was moments after this that Zestra heard someone talking and turned to face another woman, well now they had gender balance on the island at least. Zestra listened to what the woman said and put the pieces together rather easily. 3 days, none human, walking up casually to high levels, this woman was another player. Zestra didn't know her right away so it was unlikely their guilds had done much business together. Still another player should always be welcomed they were more useful as an ally than an enemy. Also it was nice to have people from the game around.

" I assume you are a fellow player from Yggdrasil " Zestra said her tone neutral " We are from or what's left of Engineers of Assentation. We are hoping to make these islands, or is it island..... well anyways we plan to build a new nation here. You are more than welcome to join us " She offered wanting more players in their new home and new guild.

“Dreams of gold and gambling addiction.”

“Pfft! Work myself too hard she says…”— He jeered with drifting focus, almost fumbling on that last mutter as his head wrenched back slightly, eyes forcing themselves wide in a struggle to fend off 48 hours of restless work— living on the initial adrenaline of the situation and low-tier stamina recovery spells— and in that small beat of self-awareness he had, one just might’ve caught onto that green glimmer in his eye. Just before the weariness claimed him — “Mm. I appreciate the concern but,”— Midas held his tongue for dramatic pause, a sharp inhale as he crossed his arms, gazing off sternly into the horizon as though a grandmaster lecturing his pupil — “I am a godless creature of sheer will, determination and drive— I’ve got shit to build.”

“And I’m taking the shores and the outer islands, please and thank you. I’m thinking big, like a modern harbor that leads into some grand, in-your-face casino.”— Midas’ gaze drifted off near the shores, leading to the deep blue that stretched far beyond, grand gestures followed as he couldn’t help but flash a full-tooth grin at it. Those days in that motionless, unending pale back at the Ancient Laboratory, stacking up ores and playing around with the limits of his new body, had bore some form of clarity. Even if it was “clarity” from non-stop hyperfocus. Thus far there had been too much time on his hands and too little sense to work something out off, but in those moments of machine-like, savant concentration on senseless work— sitting behind a desk in a lifeless room, much like he used to back in the real world— his initial worries were so blurred out by the routine that he had some time to reflect.

He didn’t know if it was Midas’, the character’s, own draconic greed, or an inner compulsion he’d been holding off up until recently— but all he knew is that he wanted to build his own utopia, his own kingdom basked in gold for himself to rule. He wanted to know what it felt like being above and beyond everyone else, cushioned in the seat of a throne room like the snot-nosed royal brat stereotype in every manga.

“Though I might need some golems and homunculi to run the whole place. O, but my golems are trash…”— He sighed lightly into the next sentence, shooting a quick glance at Fabian before nudging at his side, giving him an over exaggerated flash of the eyebrows — ”You know, if there just so happened to be an expert golemancer aboard this vessel, I would pay him generously for his talents. ” — His eyebrows raised and lowered with doubled the intensity as he walked back to his hammock, facing the golem duo as he bit down a smile — “Let that sink in.” — Unwilling to dignify that with a follow-up, he instead shot a finger gun at the blank space between them, cue to the magical half-opened door that had just manifested out of his inventory, along with a porcelain bathroom sink just waiting beyond it.

Yes, he had rehearsed that back in the Ancient Laboratory. Yes, even moved the doorway and the sink at a certain set of coordinates just to teleport them in whenever he needed to.

What was the point of all the godly powers if there was no room for physical comedy, after all.

Sixth grader humor aside, Midas would in fact need Fabian’s help if he would ever come close to see those grandiose ideas of him bloom into reality. He’d realized that after his first golem. No matter how many materials he pumped into a bunch of rocks, he still didn’t have the levels in the specific job classes. It was like a pure warrior class that relied on casting fire balls at long range, they’d be better off just hurling their weapon at that point, and, in this case, Midas was better off just brainwashing random mobs as employs. That, however, required a right-place-right-time situation, too much effort.

In those types of situations, it was a blessing to have fellow guild members with too much time on their hands.

Speaking of golems —
“I wonder how those two are holding up… Haven’t gotten any news from them at all.”— He had been so infatuated with his work for the past 48 hours that it had completely escaped him by then, the fox and the golem had left his side for a while now. Togemaru said it was urgent, something about some Barry guy— he didn’t quite get all the details but he figured they’d be fine going on their own little adventure. After all the radio silence, it was getting hard not to wonder what had happened, nevertheless, Midas shrugged it off — “Hm, I guess I did tell him that he could summon me if he ever needed me.”

Midas sighed as he trailed off, shook his head at the idea —
“Not like there’s anything out there that can hurt him anyway.”

After a few extra minutes of hang time, the ship slowly came down on the center island; he lagged behind along the army of steel as he only watched his peers float down the Dreadnought. He threw his hand out, the book already looming beside Midas like a devil on his shoulder.

[Vade Mecum: Tier Seven – Greater Teleportation]

“I could help with the docks and all that, I do remember one of my classes having these auto-build blueprints for minor structures.” — He reappeared just behind them, leaning his back against the rough surface of a tree. He ran his hand across it, even coming to rip out some pieces of the flaky skin, and, unsurprisingly, it in fact felt the exact same as wood. Not like he’d ever been this close to an actual, non-artificial tree.

Midas more or less stood there, impassive, only looking on in horror as this max level player scouted the area as though a raid boss warning would pop up in their hud. He was hoping to see some other reactions from them, their noses were finally unclogged with whatever the hell they’d been breathing their whole life, the skies were clear and the world wasn’t just switching between shades of plain gray throughout the day —
“Suppose being a golem does that to you…”

Aside from the scent of fresh grass, mint, and salt— there was this other, smoky flavor lingering around, something that made his nose flare up —
“Barbecue?” — Only when he had to lean in to clean the drool off his mouth did he realize he hadn’t had a single thing to eat this entire trip.

As the woman approached, Midas had to wipe the string of drool off the corner of his mouth and resist the urge, bite back the need to ask her for some of her cooking. He opted for the good first impression route this time around —
“Yeah, like she said, we’re here to settle down and colonize. Didn’t think we’d bump into someone else though, this thing looked pretty desolate from afar.”

He stepped up to the three, respecting the boundary as— well, she still had a giant axe propped up on her shoulder. Didn’t help that he was the only one that looked the most unassuming out of everyone else —
“The names are,”— He held up a hand, amicable, trademark businessman smile and all — “King Midas from Nameless. Zestra and Fabian Dulaan from Engineers of Ascension.” — Midas gestured to himself and his party in order, hoping that he’d pronounced Fabian’s made-up last name correctly

“Don’t think we’d come across each other back in Yggdrasil.”

On the Island of Promise

“Be that as it may, we have no particular reason to take that island…”

“On the contrary, we have a very good reason to take over that island!”

“And what would that be?”

“The mandatory beach scene, where each female member of our group, you included, get to wear…”

Smack!

Before the man could finish, the woman hit him hard in the head with her fist, causing the man to fall rapidly to the ground and form a small crater. He got up afterwards rubbing the back of his head and groaning. The pale white-haired woman was of medium human height with a pair of horns protruding from her forehead. She looked down in disgust at the man with her unusual black-sclerae and white-iris eyes. Her slim black attire was partially covered by a red poncho. She rested a giant lance on her right shoulder.

“That hurt, miss Kuneyoshi! Why?” The man asked, genuinely confused. He was an older man, of a large frame from a human standard, clad in a golden paladin armor, with a mixture of light brown and silver in both his hair and beard, and glowing blue eyes. He looked to be in his early 60s, and had a giant hammer in one arm and what seemed to be a grimoire in the other.

“Shut up, you pervert! Also, don’t use my real name.” She sighed, as she crossed her arms and looked to her right. “And the real reason?”

“Unchartered territories, new adventures, and the possibility of new resources!” The man smiled. Gradually his smile disappeared, and he became very serious. “Those resources, if there is anything of value, Harvest must not get their hands on it.”

“Are you that worried about that guild?”

“I am more worried about their leader. Not Ignis mind you, even though he is a pain to deal with as well currently. All because of that guy…”

“If I may, considering Blackjack’s movements so far, he does not seem the type to desire conquest of other territories. What the Empire lacks, he finds ways to produce or trade.”

“Blackjack is a cunning bastard that can take unexpected actions. We should not leave him be.”

“Are you still angry that he kicked your ass in PvP in that tournament…?”

“Yes!” The man said, almost proudly.

“I see…” the woman sighed. At this point they have arrived at the island, but…

[Enhanced Sight] + [Bypass Environment] to increase visual prowess and enable one to see past hindering objects.

[Life Vision] to see the HP “aura”.

“Prex, it seems we came a tad too late.” The woman pointed out.

“Damn, I knew Blackjack shared the same vision of the great beach sc-“

No.” She interjected. “I have never seen these people before… They have great HP values. Comparable to ours.”

“Ah… great.” This could only mean one thing. “Many enough to kill us easily?”

“About 3 of them seem to pose a threat. The others seem to be lower level, unless they use any item to hide it.”

“Doable. I will go great them.”

“You will what?”

“Oh, apologies. Did you want to come too?”

“What if you die?”

“We would have hardly ever obtained anything in this world if I ever cared about that.”

“…”

“…”

“Prex?”

“Yes.”

“I am coming as well.”

“That’s the spirit!” The man said, as took out a megaphone from his inventory.

“Wha—wait!” the woman said as she covered her ears.

Greetings unknown people! We come in peace!” his voice reverberated throughout the island. The woman punched him in the back of the head again, sending him once again into the ground and forming another small crater.

“Eh, but why?” Prex looked genuinely confused.

Shut up, you bastard! Ah, my ears are still ringing.

Ignis & Co.

The man and his summons just blinked a few times and looked at each other, then at the spider again. It could actually talk like a human!

"Is it making fun of us?" asked Magnus clenching his fist.
"I am not very well versed in the act of telling jokes, so I couldn't be fully sure..." replied Etica.
"Now, now." Ignis waved his hand and the two summons stayed put. He may have understood what was going on.
"You are now a spider, so what?" He asked rethorically. "I understand, I was confused about the situation as well at first. Might be even more so for you who is now in a spider body. Would you like to join me? Umm... Etica, just for reassurance please translate what I just said in spider speech."
"Certainly." Etica translated right away with her rough but efficient spider screech immitation.

Minerva- 99% Angel, But Oh, That 1%...

Minerva chuckled as she saw the golem hit Ryker's head and then fall on the ground. She looked at it with curriosity. She pointed at it, with the small bunny on her shoulder doing the same gesture. "Your name shall be Plato." she said, using a sweet tone. The name was suddenly engraved on its chest. The golem was initially confused, but clapped its hands and went by her side. She shifted her attention to Ryker again.

"So, sir Knight is not from these parts. Neither are we, really." She said, as she took off her jacket...

"But have no fear, I did not approach thee with any hidden agenda. I was just curious." Apparently, it was her way of showing she had nothing to hide.

"My name is Minerva. Pleased to meed you." she said, as she struck a pose.

kumoko-spider-and-human-form-from-im-a-spider-so-what.jpg

Loloth blinked, or well she would have if she could as a spider as she heard them say she had spoken normally. " Shit shit shit i fucked up i am screwed so very screwed" She thought " What should i do they know well i mean i haven't really hurt anyone so maybe they won't attack me? What am i saying of course they will attack they know i am a player. Wait... he is player why am i scared?" Lolth's thoughts passed through her mind her face unable to display any emotion given she was a spider and despite how she might see herself she face was that of an insect. Then she again felt the strength of the three before her " Oh right yeah that i'm shit at the game. Well i can't really say that it isn't a game anymore, but still i am stuck with my none combat self why did i think that it was a good idea to be a crafter? Argg i screwed this up royally how the hell can a spider not talk spider? Stupid gameplay mechanics or well is it game play ? Stupid reality. " Lolth continued to think and if she could express her emotions on her face the panic would be clear despite the whole exchange being peaceful she was still over thinking and far to used to people wanting to PK her to not think she was going to get killed.

" Okay okay what is the best move they think i am a spider and know i am player?" Loloth asked herself thinking deeply on leg moving under her mouth to where a chin would be for a human but she was a spider " I mean i am a spider, well a type of spider i guess. Hmmm i could just stop this though how do i explain i never thought about changing forms before? Well i mean i only thought of it just now so i mean i could be honest. Yeah honesty is the best policy. " Loloth thought finally remembering just what she could do.

Then the screech of spider speak came and Loloth was drawn out of her thoughts and back to reality. " Okay i need to reveal myself or well explain the situation " Loloth thought thinking on how she should do it if she would be safe revealing she was not only a monster but one that could take human form in this world. " Well i mean they would be scared if i am a monster, so maybe another form hmm well i mean i can turn human. I really should have done that sooner that would have saved a lot of time and ear ache."

Loloth half in thought again nodded not meaning to agree to go with them but at her own thoughts. " Okay here we go" She thought as she activated her shape changing power with a thought and there was a obscuring cloud of smoke that came from no where. That was new, but well she couldn't expect shape changing to work the same way as in game. Either way the transformation worked and where there had been a spider of abnormal size there was what looked like a white harried pale woman. The oddest part one might notice aside from her having replaced a giant spider was her eyes remained closed. " Hmm yep the blind sight works it is so nice to have eye lids again i can blink or close my eyes anytime i like" Loloth thought forgetting to open her eyes.

" I'm Arachne " Loloth said meaning to explain her race that she wasn't a spider but well an arachne . She had however made it sound like her name in her own inability to speak properly.
