An invitation has been sent out across the Blues & Grand Line from a mysterious host, finding itself in the hands of many desired individuals; thieves, slavers, underground brawlers and pirates alike - including you, aspiring young individuals beginning on your journey towards your dreams! The invitation reads as follows: “To all worthy pirates & scoundrels! Come to the Island of Bad Beginnings Eynd, and compete in a tournament to find the strongest, and most capable of pirates these seas have to offer! There are prizes to be won, powerful allies to be made and adventures awaiting! So come to the Island of Bad Beginnings Eynd to test your worth!”

Many have already arrived on the mysterious island of Bad Beginnings Eynd, gathered on the docks before a large gate with a lit-up sign reading ‘WAIT HERE, ESTEEMED PARTICIPANTS’ in all bold, red neon letters. In the distance, many can see the imposing figure of a large castle which stands perched on the highest point of the island and old to the point of being almost infused with the dark looming forests that surround it. Shipwrecks seem to be scattered all across the island, from the shorelines to deep within the dark looming forests that engulf most of the island.

You are either among those already gathered by the gates, participants of all shapes, sizes & backgrounds have arrived in order to compete for the prize or just arriving. There are those who have already begun to make gossip among themselves. Whispers of questions, asking things like just what is the ‘Grand Prize’ for winning? Or more importantly, what is the true identity of this mysterious host?

A tavern, hidden by the dark atmosphere and stormy weather surrounding the island. Most did not even notice its presence until the inside lights turned on and the tavern doors swung open; revealing an old, lanky man with crooked eyes, missing fingers and wearing dark robes giving off the impression of an Undertaker. He greeted everyone on the docks with arms spread in a welcome-gesture "Welcome! Welcome! Hehe, you're early! Heh, he'll like that, he'll like it a lot! Now come, come in! You don't want to stand about in the rain now do you? The Gatekeeper will be here shortly to take you in."

Having arrived on the Island sometimes earlier though pure luck and not navigational ability, the tall amazon had already stored away her ship and was now walking around the new Island with a constant curiosity in her eyes, bringing the exotic beauty clad in strange attire to the eyes of the patrons. Wick zips between the various stalls and windows taking in the sites and peering over the gathered individuals within the tavern that were perfect for her intended recruitment drive and receiving a multitude of heart filled glances for her efforts. Fortunately, the large form of Saleed could be seen peering over behind her giving some pause for too direct approaches, the snake coiling up to raise her up above the crowds to give a far better view around her shaking off an umbrella as before closing it. Now she thinks about it, this entire event was weird....given how much trouble that waterfall mountain thing was asking people to come from the Blues to here just seemed off....she wondered how many they missed out on because of that? hmm maybe that was kind of a preliminary test of sorts?.

"Eh its probably a minor thing, Saleed you notice any of note? We want some people that will mesh well, but also cool to make an awesome crew....Hmm. Oh that looks cool" gesturing out to a Scarecrow off to the side the snake below nodding before sniffing towards it, tongue darting out with a faint tilt of her head "Huh? What do you mean strange?....I mean thats even better! Lets pick it up since it looks like they just left it here....well once we finish looking"

The others that stood out was the sweet scent of a tall man like one of those candy stores she got those sweets from, only with far less shouting and games of tag...well for now at least "Well we have a Sweet choice there" giggling to herself at the pun.
A swordswoman in a fancy dress...ok she needs to ask where she got one of those....they look cool and really comfy, she wasn't ones for swords but those looked a bit different than those white coat ones and from looking alone it was clear they had quality....quality swords meant they knew how to use them better right?. "Swords are good, and she dresses cool"
Then there was another with a really strange skin tone like they were made of earth or something with a strong natural scent and the greens really worked for them, green was a great color after all...just look at her hair. "Hmm defiantely not seen someone like that before, yep down to earth it seems like it"

Each one she was getting a good vibe from at least, the only thing that mattered now is how to approach them and which to go for first, it needed to be a long and thought out....well the Sweet smelling one may have Sweets so could share a few maybe. Hoping down and working her way through the crowds towards them.

It was a dark and stormy night as the eerie ship creaked rocking with the waves approached the ramshackled docks. It was as if life itself had all been sapped away from the island as dark menace oozed from its very atmosphere. Well... at least that seemed like the kind of start of a story that would be told back at her home village. The ship itself pulling into the docks wasn't really THAT horribly bad all things considered. Some less friendly folks on board she would have to admit but it wasn't like they were zombies. The docks themselves could of used a touch more spookiness really to sell it in one of those exaggerated ghost tales as well. The shipwrecks weren't something the story likely would of had... though if she were to make a tale about it they seemed like they would be a good thing to add to make it a little creepier!

Kasumi stood waiting for the plank to be extended out looking quite high in spirits. Despite her imagination running a bit wild turning it into a ghost story of sorts, she wasn't really at all afraid. Her rather chipper demeanor along with her training helped her a lot with suppressing fear. It would take a lot more to really make her jump or anything of that nature. Her pinkkimono only seemed to further scream out that upbeat personality being quite exotic looking as it was already in this part of the world covering both her shoulders interrupted by a obi and a nice purple bow tied around her waste. The kimono carried down flowing down her legs stopping halfway past her knees with the opening allowing her short black pants and her white leg wrappings show with her bare legs fitting in the large gap between. On her back her two Katana's sat tilted diagonally mostly up as to not be as intrusive on her sides so someone might bump into her. Her yellow eyes glanced out as her hand lifted up justly brushing a strand of her blonde hair to the side, a small portion kept up in a short chonmage at the back of her head with a red Lilly ornament to one side. She was ready to see whatever this was through!

At least she would of if she didn't suddenly trip stepping off from the plank. She let out a sudden girlish cry as she fell forward tripping over her own feet catching herself on the way down on some other man who glared back at her rather angrily. She frowned a bit looking rather uneasy lifting her hands up getting back on balance after making a fool of herself falling in front of other arrivals and the man she fell into.

"S....s...sorry sorry! Please accept my apology kind gentleman.... sir... fellow!" She spoke bowing her response trying to apologize as it only seemed to make the man grumble and walk away more just dismissive of her rather then seeming ready to fight as he might of initially of been. It seemed like a lot of people there were at least a bit rough to say the least, then again the invitation wasn't exactly asking for 'kind and gentle souls' to come to the island. It was a supposed tournament... with prizes! Thinking on it though... it was a bit hasty to come who knew if anything that was advertised was true. Still, being stuck making barely a penny and being unable to find a crew willing to take you wasn't a way to make a living, not to mention it didn't do justice to her family if she just did menial chores rather then doing something to give her family prominence in the world!

She stepped out onto the docks, her eyes unable to help but glance over at the neon sign, tilting her head to the side. It really did seem... out of place to say the least. Her eyes shifted up to the forest unable to help but admire just how spooky it did seem. The poster never really mentioned it as some scare fest. The rain wasn't exactly the greatest with the thunder and lightning constantly going off and the wind whipping her hair and kimono about. It made her quite glad she had pants on underneath, her red scarf helping to keep her kimono top from opening up on her. At least her Kimono helped to repel the water though the winds didn't help much causing it to whip around a bit with her obi helping to keep it from blowing wide open. Not having a place to get dry was rough though it seemed her prayers were answered as the lights flicked on with an appearance of a frail old man. She blinked not hesitating at all to approach swiftly to get inside.

"Thank you kind sir." She spoke bowing her head as a gesture of gratefulness as she entered the place. The inside was better then outside granted the boards didn't completely sotp the howl of the wind as it slipped through or caused the place to seemingly creak. It looked like it was functional? It was far from the nicest place she had seen but it was far from the worst either. She lifted her hand checking the hair ornament of a Lilly, noticing it seemed to of been mildly disrupted by the rain though she didn't really have much she could do about it now. It felt rather empty as a few did seem to enter inside, admitting more that seemed less 'rough' then the others. She shuffled herself over to the side leaning against the wall looking about curiously still unsure what to make of it all though harboring a bit of excitement.

Scarecrow
Interaction:
Location: Eynd Beach -> Bar -> Meetup spot
A small sailing boat manned by a single drunk fisherman floated peacefully on the waves. He took a swig from his flask and noticed something in the distance. Some sort of floating T shape. He raised his binoculars to get a better look, and his mouth fell agape spilling his swig. He saw a scarecrow being carried across the sea by gulls.

Scarecrow was having a great day! He’d seen so many new things! He’d fallen into the ocean and had seen fish! Fish were basically underwater birds! Amazing! Their wings were so tiny! Although they didn’t seem as much up for talking as birds and moving underwater was very hard, so he’d promised these nice gulls a cob of corn from his pocket in exchange for giving him a lift. “To the edge of the world!” He shouted excitedly. It was then that a stray cannonball flew past, and gave the gulls such a start that they dropped him into the ocean.

He floated up to the shallows of the beach, and submerged underwater once more gurgled something along the lines of “How exciting! Crowcrowcrowcrowcrow!

He pulled out of the water, spitting out a spirt and stood up on his leg. He twisted his clothes, hat and then his head to get the water out and took in his surroundings. Lots of people around, or at least their ships. "Must be something worth seeing!" he thought aloud, before hopping further inland.

...

Scarecrow collected various stares whenever he moved, but when he stopped people assumed it was a trick of the eye, light or other such strangeness. Of course, he was merely one of many oddities in this gathering of ner do wells and scum. He hopped into a random bar and ordered 'something fruity'. Some of the rough and tumble types visiting the bar laughed at his choice.

"Oh? Something wrong with my drink?"

"Damn right. Drinks like that are for fools who don't know the way of the world. HEY BARKEEP! BRING US MORE ALE!" One of them, apparently the leader of the group shouted. The barkeep seemed distressed. It was clear the group had no intention of paying their tab.

"Oh? Then why don't we settle this dispute like gentlemen? All of you against me. Losers pay everyone's tab."

The leader eyed him up and smirked crossing his arms. "I don't know what's up with your body. But you clearly aren't very strong or very smart. We accept." he declared, accompanied by the chuckles of his lackeys.

This time, it was Scarecrow's turn to smirk. "On three okay?" Scarecrow said, the group nodded.

"One... Two... THREE!"

The group charged. Scarecrow spun thrice on his foot and nailed all three at once with a spin punch. "Scarecrow Karate... REDEMPTION ARC PUNCH!" In the time that the group was stunned by the speed and force of the sudden strike, Scarecrow began another seeming barrage of blows. When it ended, the thugs looked like different people. They had been thoroughly cleaned up, their hair had been combed, their clothes adjusted and... Scarecrow opened his hand revealing six removed cavities.

"No wonder you're attitude was so rotten with these in your mouth! Tell me, does changing your look change your heart? You now have a new chance at life!"

The thugs opened their mouths agape, screamed in terror, and ran out the building, throwing money behind them. "Crowcrowcrowcrowcrow. Glad that worked, because I don't have any money!" Scarecrow laughed, before noticing they had dropped something else along with their money. Some sort of invitation. He picked it up. "So this is what all the commotion is about... Sounds like fun!" he said as he sipped his drink, before hopping off in search of the meeting spot.

"Lovely weather isn't it?" Sunny muttered to himself, he wasn't a very happy fellow at this moment in time, he had hitched a ride onboard a pirate vessel which didn't cost him a beli instead he offered his services as a chef which after tasting Sunny's food the crew accepted. It was also very fortunate as the crew along with Sunny had both received an invitation to an Island Bad Beginners Eynd so there end destination was the same which just made things a whole lot easier along with the fact that the crew didn't have a chef it was a done deal without much persuasion. Sunny was currently in the kitchen cooking their goal was in sight but the weather wasn't making things easy especially for Sunny in the kitchen who's pots and pans may as well have had minds of their own. It quickly got everything back on track using his devil fruit to force the various items into place and reapplying it whenever it burnt off. The current meal he was preparing was a thank you to the crew for getting him to the island safely, it was a braising steak curry slow-cooked and seasoned to perfection and with perfect timing for it to be ready as the crew arrived at the island if they ever made it.

It didn't take much longer for the crew to navigate the rough weather and arrive at the island, they had clearly been at sea for some time and knew how to navigate stormy weather like it was nothing. The captain of the crew came into the kitchen clearly meant to inform Sunny of their arrival at the island but instead, his mouth started to water at the smell of the food and he clearly forgot what he was about to say instead calling his crew indoor to eat. Sunny served the food and gave a small bow to the captain. "I appreciate the assist, getting to this island without a capable crew or even a ship would have been impossible." Sunny himself chose not to eat he had made a few bits and bats that would keep him going over the duration of his stay. "No thank you Sunny, your food is the best I've ever tasted you sure I can't persuade you to join?" The captain spoke getting a shake of the head from Sunny. "Sadly I feel my place is elsewhere but who knows maybe down the line I'll be able to cook for you again." Sunny reached for a large window, opened it and picked up his backpack. "But until then I bid you adieu." Using his mochi-like body he stretched out his arms grabbing onto a dock pole before launching himself over.

Sunny now with his feet on dry land and no longer undercover Sunny hated the harse weather, it was cold, wet, and sticky and not even in the fun way. Sunny looked around it seemed that quite a mass of people had been invited and a huge variety at that. The sign on the gate seemed to be agitating people along with Sunny after all it was just simply telling them to wait around in the rain, something that Sunny himself wasn't very happy about hell in this weather he couldn't even smoke. As the appearance of an old frail man appeared and showed everyone to a tavern Sunny didn't even hesitate and just went straight in, he wasn't one to get scared easily so this was nothing so far.

Sunny now out of the rain and inside a tavern once again scouted the crowd and his eyes landed on a single person. A female with green hair that was so hot that she could make creme brulèe with just her looks, speaking of creme brulèe he really should make some at some point. The green hair female's gaze met his as she seemed intent to make her way through the crowd directly towards himself...or perhaps the person behind him or around him but his confidence that she was coming straight to him never wavered.

The female walked closer and closer and as she did Sunny decided to make his way over to her, strangely enough, his gaze was dead set behind her, much like he wasn't looking at her but instead an individual behind her as the two got closer and closer Sunny's eye's glanced at her before a slight smile covered his face. "Your about the second sweetest thing I've seen all day." Sunny said full of confidence before he passed her, who was the first was obvious to Sunny but he hoped the female would be interested in finding out and would follow him a few steps to where he would stop and if not well then it was just a passing compliment and he would keep walking towards the back of the tavern.

Kasumi Yasashīha

Despite the more comforting environment being outside the rain, she had to admit the place and what she assumed was the staff there were on the 'creepy' side. She wasn't quite sure if it was accidental or if it was perhaps just the theme of the island itself. She had heard stories of many islands along the grandline having very particular 'styles' behind them that seemed to bleed into its residence. Then again, the island didn't really seem like it had a village itself, at least not one she spotted during their arrival, though the stormy weather could of contributed to making it much harder to see. It was likely a more isolated island that tended to have only a small few willing to live on it. The old man at least seemed nice enough!

Kasumi had kept back avoiding getting herself into further trouble given her near scuffle she caused earlier along with a few other... 'events' on the ride there. Her clumsiness had gotten the best of her with her mind so absorbed into the excitement of whatever this was it tended to make her much more prone to spacing out. It only took one spectical to draw her attention seeing an assortment of men taken out with ease by a scarecrow. Her eyes darted over in amazement at the scene filled with childlike delight at it. She hadn't expecting to see something so amazing on this trip, and she had set her expectations perhaps a bit higher then she really should of. She took the bold step forward moving to him nearly bumping into someone else getting a glare though nothing more evading hitting him. She stopped by Scarecrow looking up at him being on the shorter side.

"Ah... wow that is incredible!" She spoke as if referring to him taking out the men... at least for the brief pause before exposing what really had cause her attention. "You are... you aren't human... you are a Tsukumogami! You must of been formed from a doll right?" She spoke tilting over staring curiously at him from different angles with such childish fascination. It wasn't so much she couldn't tell he was a scarecrow as much as she was so absorbed in her grandfather's tales it made her imagination wander to something much more obscure. She was beaming with energy seemingly forgetting her attempt to keep a stern front like she had promised herself seeing something abnormal. She reached out, lightly tugging on his clothing though seeming to show a little care not to be too rough before suddenly pulling her hand back realizing she was being a bit too touchy.

"Oh, sorry sorry!!" She spoke bowing in response realizing how rude she was being. She lifted her hands up fidgeting with her fingers a bit in guilt for invading his private space as she tried to figure out what to say. She could get overly excited at times granted she usually wasn't that bad with controlling herself. He just seemed so unusual in a weird way quite cute making her act a little bit more brashly in response.

"I mean... I haven't seen something... someone like you since I went out into the world so I was a little curious... so sorry again. My name is Yasashīha Kasumi, Samurai of the Yasashīha Clan proud to be in your presence!" She spoke, trying to speak more formally though even recognizing herself it came off a bit more awkward then she intended. Perhaps it was a bit better to be a little less formal when trying to be extra polite after in her mind possibly offending him. Most of her interactions felt more forced then she liked when it came to business. Most tended to judge the book by its cover after all. None the less she smiled warmly up towards him. While her size and appearance wasn't one that usually sparked much confidence in her ability to fight, at the very least it generally did her well in disarming people and coming off harmless.

It was a fairly easy trip over, while some of the islands had become acclimatized to the spooky atmosphere and there was, of course, a draw to Wicks presence, there were still many in the sea of individuals who parted to give the giant snake a wide birth but completely overlooking the tail that had snaked subtlely through several pockets with an equal mix of curiosity and kleptomania. As she finally reaches the man and stops she seems to bend forward slightly looking up and then around him with curiosity or more likely try to notice if he was, in fact, carrying any of the sweets whos scents seemed to radiate from him, the faint twitching of her nose before looking back up with confusions and tapping her cheek with a finger before finally realising he had made a comment and giggling with a warm smile.

"Aww thank you, The outfit really is great!" her words were spoken with complete sincerity apparently missing the intent of his words entirely, twirling slightly as the hem of the shirt flows upwards slightly with the motion "The last island had more outfits then i can count, which was funny because i thought i did but then there was even more when i went through them on the boat" looking to the side slightly puzzled now she thinks about it, the snake behind her seemingly looking to the side almost as if it was trying to innocently whistle. "But your styles great too! I love the hat but whats the 1st? I know theres some sweets around here somewhere" trying to look again to no avail, its like they were being hidden all over but none within sight....wait! were there invisible sweets? was there such a thing?, her eyes widening for a moment before shaking her head and getting back on topic, she did come over for another reason too.

"In either case Im Anemone Wick, it's great to meet you" seemingly throwing a quick hug on the individual before releasing "Still not used to that as a greeting but hey they said its what people do on these islands so its fun to try out the new customs, Shame the weathers not the best but the suns gotta shine again eventually. There's still tons of interesting people here so that brightens it up a bit, though it would be perfect people to find some to come along on the boat....Since two does not a crew make. Needs a handful more of cool interesting people to go along with" laughing a little more to herself, grinning all the while

Whoosh. Whoosh. Psshah. PUM!

The mind numbing sound of the ocean that rocked Arby's canoe for the past few weeks was silenced by a sandy impact, the force stirring Arby from his sleep.

Raising his head slowly over the edge of the canoe and examining the environment, he sighed with relief. I thought I was going in circles paddling around in the Calm Belt, thank God I made it out, He thought to himself in reference to the fact that actually having waves would naturally steer him towards an island. Peering at what once was a sunny sky, Arby got excited by the thought of rain, it was always rejuvenating, either because he is spiritually a plant, or because he was surrounded by saltwater 24/7 for a bit there. Exiting the canoe and pulling it onshore, he created little world blocks to keep the boat in place in case the storm caused some rough tide.

Finishing that, he turned to face inland, immediately recognizing a large, lit sign welcoming travelers, "Participants...." Arby thought back to the colosseum. Pssh Nah, I'm sure it's just some of the slang she was talking about. Ooh or maybe it's a theme park, and we participate by having a good time. Often trapped in his own trains of thought, Arbor snapped back to reality and noticed the large gate and many people also waiting there. PEOPLE!!! Arby slowly exhaled. Calm down, you've been practicing for this for 7 years... you got this. Arby confidently rose and walked amongst the people, observing but not yet yielding the strength to engage. A lot of these guys look friendly, he unironically thought as he filed past veterans and deliquents of all shapes and sizes. Ooh! That one is on a big snake, Green hair? What a strange color! Arby giggled to himself. After a minute she seemed to hop off the big snake. Quickly being distracted by the sound of a man welcoming people into what seems to be a restaurant of sorts, Arbor followed the promise of food to be had and water to be drank, despite the cheap look of the place. Approaching the door, Arby was greeted by five men barging out of the door, yelling strange greetings in the form of vulgarity. Entering the bar, the atmosphere seemed much calmer than the exiting folks made it seem. People talking and laughing, making acquaintance, hiding in a corner, or sitting at the bar. It was a weird experience for Arby, he hadn't had much experience with wooden constructs that weren't his canoe, or wood that he created. Yet there was a whole building made out of it. Arby's focus shifted from the people to the architecture surrounding him, losing himself in the theory behind its construction. The paneled walls traced with wooden supports space about 3 meters apart, the intricate detail put into the sides of the booths, the man made of straw with one wooden leg casually enjoying his drink, and many more wonders he entertained himself with. Ideas and concepts he had yet to see outside of stonework, but it inspired- wait, a man made of straw? Backtracking a bit, Arby speculated on how one could create a moving statue. Unable to comprehend, he decided to investigate, as it appeared others had already begun. Walking up to the stickman, he announced his presence in the only way he knew how, "E-excuse me, is there anything you desire, m'lord?" Bowing his head, he spoke the words believing as though it is how one casually greets another. Nailed It.

Sunny’s confidence almost wavered as he walked another step without much of a reaction from her, that was until his ears caught a slight sound of her sniffing him, as the sweetness works every time. He stopped in his tracks and spun back around facing the female who unexpectedly was bent over showing off her ample...leverage and winter couldn’t help but look, not his own fault by any means it was just kind of there.

The following conversation completely confused Sunny he guessed that she had misunderstood his intent and judging by her accent it was clear she was from somewhere he had not been before so maybe it was a slight dialect issue. He did have to admit her outfit did look great especially on her as she did her little twirl showing off her outfit Sunny definitely checked her out a little more. His first observation was correct she could most definitely make creme brulèe with just her looks.

“You’ll have to show me some of those outfits sometime.” A slight smile covered his face as he adjusted his glasses, the snake behind her didn’t concern him in the slightest, in fact, it could make a lovely stew if cooked right...not that he would steal a beauty like hers pet or anything. As the complement to his hat reached his ears the smile grew and he removed his hat and placed it on her head, or at least went to. “Look’s better on you if I say so myself.” As she began her hunt for his sweets again he simply smiled and raised his arm. “Bite me.” He watched and waited for her to do so if she chose to using his devil fruit to force a thick layer of white sticky substance (mochi fyi) to exit his skin into the point she bit. “I’m the sweetest thing.” He said getting off a wink as he did so before chuckling.

“I’m Winter Black.” Even before he finished his sentence she hugged him catching him completely off guard. “Well...that was different, most people just do a handshake but I liked that better but yes Winter Black and it’s great to meet you too Anemone.” He listened closely to the rest of her conversation and he grew more and more interested in it sounded like she was looking for a crew and what a surprise he was too. “Gotta say all the different customs on the various islands are fun to learn.” Sunny nodded about her comment on the weather. "Nah I love the cold weather must be something to do with the name." A small chucked left his mouth as he said so. Sunny looked around and interesting was an understatement.

A woman in some strange type of dress armed with swords, a skeleton man and a well compared to the other two a relatively normal man. Those three caught his eye out of many of the others. His eyes went back and focused on Anemone “Interesting people is one way to put it, that's for sure.” The conversation finally reached the part he was most interested in. “Oh, you looking to put together a crew?” He questioned he hoped the answer was yes, she seemed like a fun person to travel the open seas with. “I’m a chef specializing in sweets but I cook all sorts.” Sunny’s aura of overconfidence was almost over-flowing at this point. “I’m thinking three sounds a little bit more like a crew whatcha say?”

"Fist of the Scarecrow... Personal Space." Scarecrow declared as he carefully inched his chair back from the young swordswoman who had suddenly approached him. "Careful. Us Scarecrows are timid creatures. If you startle me I could freeze up with nervousness like all the others!" he swallowed the last of his drink. Somehow a bulge slid down the neck area of his central stick as though it was actually being swallowed down a neck. "Ah..." He sighed in a relaxed tone. "You can call me Scarecrow. What was it you were talking about? Suu kuu mo gummy?"

It was at this moment that a second person approached him. "is there anything you desire, m'lord?" the new figure asked. Scarecrow put down his empty glass and pondered for a few moments, occasionally tapping the bar before answering. "At the moment? A chef's hat... A real cool looking mask... And a poisonous snake. Oh, and another drink of whatever that was. Hic." Scarecrow was clearly a lightweight.

Giggling a little more she reaches a hand to her head and tilts it lightly getting a feel to the object though scanning for a reflective surface and eyes landing on his glasses somehow "Hmm it does look good, I was debating a big pirate hat but sometimes its more fun to have the wind in your hair you know?" though stopping at the offer to bite him, was that another stranger custom of these islands?. Standing back up straight she taps her cheek a little more in thought as she thinks back to the odd comment she heard *....good enough to eat* I mean she did eat a lot but thought that was just her, well, either way, she didn't want to offend.

Taking his wrist she raises the arm up and down a little as if looking for something before finally taking a bite and eyes widening, keeping her mouth clasped for a little with a pleased expression chewing away and nodding at his comment. After a while she does pull back however, small white strands popping off as she does and dripping around a bit before she wipes them off, the others that fell down below seemingly vanishing shortly after making contact. "I mean some of them are really confusing, like those white coats with all the weird gestures or the impromptu races. tag....hide and seek was a fun one" completely oblivious to the chaos caused on her visit to the Grand Line Bounty Offices.

Crossing an arm below her chest she continues to occasionally reach out to pick at the arm while she listens, chewing away happily before her eyes widen at the Sweet-Chef, jumping forward to another tight hug lifting him off the ground slightly "Sold! Welcome aboard!....well once we get aboard after this...so a...." pausing with a look of deep thought, ok Retroactive was before...what was future hmm" Pree-emptive Welcome, for the real Welcome when actually on board? yeah that works.....That was actually easier than I thought, but yeah all Crews need a good chef.....might to be a little lacking on the supplies but I'm sure that forest has plenty of stuff to hunt down after this tournament game goes on. 3 is good...but I mean 7 is a lucky number so at least that many eventually, maybe a few more if there are some more good fits" finally letting go but keeping an arm around him, casting her other arm wide around the area "And so many options...i knew this game would pull a ton of cool people together, its going to make one heck of a story" leaning over to chew on his soldier a little afterward.

Kasumi heard the man's, well for the sake of simplicity man works, response as she still had that awe plastered over her face. She was completely fascinated by his very existence. Having been limited in how far she could travel from her homeland she had only got to see so many different things. She still had yet to see so many of the world's inhabitants she had heard of never mind the countless creatures of myth she heard might be around the world her grandfather had told stories of encountering on his way across the Grand Line. At his protests of her proximity to him she seemed to get the idea shuffling back a little bit further looking at him seeming to show a bit more regret.

"Sorry sorry again!" She spoke bowing her head in another apology. She didn't even think of a scarecrow before, jumping a bit too quickly to a doll though she could easily notice now how a scarecrow made much more sense. His line about causing him to freeze like the rest had caught her by surprise as she looked on seemingly questioning his word before dropping her jaw in amazement. Were all scarecrows actually living until they got scared stiff? It was rather outlandish even more Kasumi but given the fact he was an actual hopping, talking scarecrow it made her much easier to buy into what he said. How could she question some being she never knew existed before yet clearly was talking to her?

At the moment he had questioned about about a Tsukumogami and her lips parted to speak another approached seemingly questioning the scarecrow. She blinked, stopping her voice before it escaped her vocal cords. She was a little puzzled at the uttering of m'lord. Kasumi shifted her gaze back to the scarecrow as he responded back with a list of rather strange things and a hic following it. She lifted her hand up a look of confusion on her face as she scratched her chin puzzled. Despite her believing his earlier statement about the other scarecrows she seemed to catch on at least that his answer back was a little nonsensical, granted in her mind it seemed almost like he was speaking some kind of code words to the man. Was he actually his servant? Given she was just talking to a scarecrow would that be really that nonsensical that it couldn't be true? She turned to the darker skinned fellow looking him over curiously seemingly forgetting about the intoxicated scarecrow for a moment.

"You're mister. Scarecrow's servant? I would of thought you would be like maybe a crow... or maybe a pumpkin? Or maybe I guess some scarecrows have pumpkins as heads? Either way I would of thought you would of been a Tsukumogami as well! Well... I guess if there a bunch of living scarecrows out there a Tsukumogami would be less likely... though i suppose his servant could be one." She spoke pointing to Arby before suddenly realizing she hadn't finished telling what it was to the scarecrow due to the suddenl interuption of his servant. She bowed her head feeling like she might of come off rude ignoring him to speak to his butler of sorts. Her focus turned on the hiccuping straw man.

"Ah... sorry sorry! A Tsukumogami is an object that has a spirit! I mean... if all scarecrows are like you initially though I don't you would be considered one." She spoke placing her finger back on her chin as if in thought once again trying to piece the puzzles together in her head.

"Right away." Arby relayed in response to the strawperson's request. Just before stepping off, the other examinee asked a question that resonated poorly with Arbor. "I am NOBODY'S servant." He stated with a harsh tone, though not actually raising his voice, and walked away in a damper mood than he approached.
By the time Arby got outside, he had all but forgotten about the incident, as he distracted himself with thoughts about his objective. I don't know where to get a chef's hat... but I did see a really big snake earlier, where did that thing go...
Walking amongst the crowd, Arby saw people from all walks of life, each with their own defining traits. It was actually quite strange to him, because while he remembers the nobles being quite flamboyant, they all looked relatively the same. Arbor was happy these people weren't like that. As he walked, he looked around for a large serpent, to no avail. Is it purposefully hiding itself, it's doing a damn good job if it is. As he pondered methods of how he could find it, his stomach growled. Ah, I was too distracted by the strawman to get any food from the restaurant. Then he remembered he didn't have any money to begin with, which put him back in a dampened mood. In contrast, a happy, sweet scent passed by his nose as he sulked, which immediately perked him up. I'm surrounded by people! One of them are probably nice enough to share! He reasoned confidently and began to move toward the origin of the scent.
Moving through the people, Arby came upon a small gap in the crowd and saw a pair of people that the scent appeared to be coming from walking a bit ahead of him. One of them was, eating the other? While this confused Arbor, he had an open mind and hurried his pace to catch up with the two people. As he caught up, he recognized the green hair he'd seen on the person riding the snake earlier.
As if it was scripted, Arby then noticed the fairly large snake moving along side the two, periodically flicking it's tongue to catch scents of it's surroundings. I don't know how it can sense anything through that smell of sweets. Arby thought as he got even closer, as the smell grew stronger and made him feel a little queasy. As he caught up, he called to them. "Excuse me, is there anything you desire, lords?" Man, I'm on a roll. He thought to himself in satisfaction.

Turning away from the sweet cook Wicks ear appears to twitch at the sound of the new arrival, turning to face the new arrival out of curiosity with Saleeds gaze following shortly after "Huh? Lords" pausing as she cups her chin in thought as she tries to recall what Lords were for a moment, it was like royalty right? some fancy title? or did that also mean something different on these islands?. Looking him up and down she does shrug a little as she takes them in "Hmm? Well I mean desire wise quite a few things really, but for this moment? more been looking for some cool and interesting people to take along on the boat you know?... Already found a neat chef so im off to a good start now most important ones locked in." another giggle from the girl before reaching forward to hug the new arrival "Oh but nearly forget, Wick, Anemone Wick... it's good to meet you and thank you for the offer"

The tavern interior, lit by candlelight is a filthy, worn down place with rot decaying the walls, parts of the ceiling falling down in places, bugs & trash across the floor and cobwebs littering the ceiling & corners. The tavern stood stiff while those who came in ordered drinks and began to settle down in what parts of the tavern still stood but they would get little time to adjust. Simultaneously, each staff member of the tavern appeared suddenly alert and ‘active’. The ‘Tavern Owner’ who beckoned everyone inside, spoke up above any of the current conversations being had in an attempt to capture the attention of everyone inside “The Gatekeeper has arrived, best not keep him waiting, he ain’t a patient man..Heh, none of us are really…Now out! Out! I’ll escort you to the gate!” and without checking to see if anyone was following; the tavern owner walked outside. His movements sluggish, slow. The rest of the staff would remain behind a while longer to gather any remaining participants and following behind the tavern owner.

At the gates, a tall & slender figure stood on the other side holding a large key-ring, with what looked like equally large keys attached to it. The ‘Gatekeeper’ was a pale figure, with dark bags under his black - almost lifeless eyes and short black hair with dirt & mud stuck in it. He wore a brown coat that was torn at the bottom and was filled holes. He seemed to have some difficulty with finding which key was the right one for the gates, giving everyone a little more time to gather before he found the right key to open the gates. The tavern owner would be waiting on the ‘right’ side of the gates for everyone to arrive. Both of them had the same, crooked smiles on their faces.

The tavern owner would make his wide-open arms gesture to everyone gathered “Welcome everyone to the first round! First, we will start off with a ‘friendly’ race heh. The KEY to the race heheh… is to collect one of several keys in the forest then reach the castle. It’s just through the friendly forest, there up, up on the highest key point of the Island - but don’t think you can get in without a key else you will be… locked out… heheheheh. Though… we didn’t expect so many… so there some of you might just be… locked out… of the contest heheh.” he pointed his thumb back in a gesture to the Gatekeeper who stood idle and silent “Oh and… a key point to bring up. Careful of the locals… they tend to… bite, and believe me you aren’t too much for them to chew. Those keys will be on those horrid beasts… around their neck attached to a collar with a bell on it. You will hear them coming… but chances are that will be the last thing you ever hear. Heheheh… Oh, and you only got sixty-six minutes & six seconds to get there! Oh! Almost forgot, heh, the first to open the Castle doors will be awarded more keys! Which will play a key role in the next challenge, now get ready everyone - make a line and once the gate opens, the key race begins!”

Kasumi was a bit taken back at his response as he was quite harsh although at the very least it wasn't yelled out. She had a noticeable frown on her lips feeling a bit down herself not quite sure how she might of wronged him by her comment. She was the type that really hated upsetting others. She didn't really have much time to say anything else as he had long since vanished slipping through the crowd and escaping before she could stop him. She shook her head a little not wanting to keep herself down trying to be a little more upbeat. There was a chance she might encounter him later and perhaps apologize for whatever offense she had caused.

Before she could utter another word to the scarecrow the innkeeper spoke up about the gatekeeper. A bit of her giddy nature returned in part suppressing her uneasy as it was nearing the time for it all to start. It was a bit unbecoming perhaps of a supposed 'samurai' but having been left in the dust for so long unable to do the great adventure she wanted it was nice to have something strange and mysterious she had to face head on! Besides, all the people there seemed like stand up people, with their cold gazes... and their hardened rough and tumble demeanor... and their dangerous looking weapons. Well, maybe they weren't so friendly looking but it still seemed like it would all be in good fun in the end whatever it is that might await her!

"Ah! Sorry Sorry Mister Crow, time for the race! Good luck to you hopefully I will see you again soon!" She spoke with a warm glow on her face waving her hand to him. She began to make her way out fumbling a little through the crowd being rather small in stature though finding her way through.

Kasumi ventured outside moving her way to the gate though taking a step back not seemingly worried about being right up front giving her a little space. She began to stretch a little, being extra careful to not bump into someone having less to worry about being a little back from most of the crowd. A bright smile was on her face as she was more then excited to start. With the race being explained she only found herself that much more amped up for it! It sounded like just pure fun and games to her as much of the darker undertone was all but lost to the optimistic blonde. Even as a few seemed to be gazing each other with practically murderous intent she would just return a warm smile without a single worry in the world. Just get a key and get quickly to the castle with a few obstacles along the way, it only made it sound more interesting it wasn't so cut and dry.
