On the Road

O-Ren is able to knock the two dogs to the side as they snap at her, taking no damage.

The rail gun buzzes out a spray of fire into vampire number 2, ripping out large chunks of flesh and bone from the fiend.

O-Ren's shotgun blast manages to incapacitate the wounded vamp, dropping its body to the ground.

Vampires 3 and 4 both turn on Ozug, clawing at your armor. They will hit unless you dodge.

The two demon hounds both continue to snap and attack O-Ren, and will bite you unless you defend yourself

Sir Talbert spins with his rune blade, driving the enchanted metal deep into another of the bloodsuckers.

Those four vamps rip into the old Cyber Knight, but only one manages to score a hit to his armor, doing minor damage.

Grond, now satisfied that the prisoners are safe, charges forward to take some of the pressure off of Sir Talbert. His armored fist slams into the vamp that was injured by the rune blade, crumpling the body under the force of the impact.

Ozug

The ogre growls savagely as he attempts to dodge the blows of his opponents. He had an urge to claw them in return, but instead decided to pump more rounds into them, firing a burst at nearly point blank range.

(Out of Character: Ozug will attempt to auto-dodge the attacks from the vampires, then blast vampire three with his rail gun if possible. If he's taking too many "in melee" penalties to shooting, he'll drop the rail gun to sling, and use his supernaturally strength-enhanced claws to rip into them.)

Ozug's superior maneuverability is able to keep the vampires from getting in contact with you, and you are able to position yourself off to the side to fire on vamp 3 with the rail gun. It rips into it, doing horrible damage.

Keeping up the pattern that is working so well, she targets the vampire that has been injured by Ozug with her shotgun, maneuvering around to try and keep away from the dogs trying to bite her.

Liza Kreuzer

Too many of them, as expected - at least as long the badger has no line of fire. Liza follows the others' example, sending her globe of daylight deep insight the room. She then falls back towards the door, making sure to watch out for the other's backs when they turn around to retreat. If one of the vampires happens to get too close, she'll raise her hand, closing her fingers around the cruzifix. Her mind will then shoot forward, trying to paralyze one of the creatures legs to protect her ally's retreat. If that's not necessary, she'll retreat a bit further, ready to welcome the vampires outside with a flash of light once the majority is in sight for the heavier guns.

OOC: Pretty much delaying my action to either use paralysis:lesser or blinding flash, depending on how things go around me.

With Liza pulling back, the closest target for vampires 3-5 is Nasoth. They lunge, claws and teeth barred to rip into you. They will hit unless you dodge.

Tony and Tia burst through the wall outside, both to get out into the open and also to give the people waiting outside a clear shot inside. As they run out, the two Borgs hose down with the rail gun and water cannon vampire #3, causing it to fall under the withering effect of their attacks.

Now with a clear line of fire, Atlanta swivels the rail gun in the nose over to target vampire 4 and shred it badly. Alley at the water cannon follows up with a jet spray of water, melting the wounded fiend down.

Vampires 6-10 snarl and hiss as they attack Tony, and while he manages to dodge most of the claws, two do connect with his armor and score some deep scratches.

Underdog lets out a loud rebel yell as he draws a pair of silver battle axes, and he leaps into the fray. Hacking at vampire 11, he does a sizable amount of damage.

In return, vamps 11-15 all attack the Crazy, but his enhanced reflexes keep him safe.

Marcos sees his chance and hurls a bolt of magic fire at Vampire 11, making it burst into flames and it staggers back as it desperately tries to knock the flames out before it collapses.

The last five vampires continue to charge out, and they claw at Liza. They will hit you unless you dodge.

The two hounds both keep attacking O-Ren, and one will hit unless you dodge or parry; the second misses.

Sir Talbert does something that is a bit surprising; he starts to sing a rousing song as he continues to ply his rune weapon about, this time turning on vampire 6 and lopping its head off. The body shudders and falls.

Vamps 7 and 8 both claw at the elder Cyber Knight, but he is able to block their attacks with his blade.

Gond continues to aggressively attack the undead, slamming his armored fist into #7, and you all can hear the crunch of bones breaking.

Ozug

If he did not have his helmet and faceplate on, Ozug's viciously feral and wicked grin, displaying his sharp canines and pointed teeth, coupled with the wild look of glee in his eyes, would truly be unsettling to most. He was enjoying the close quarters fight, and the feel of the rush of chemicals coursing through his veins, augmenting his abilities to superhuman heights. He had missed this after all the time cooped up in the Zone Ranger.

This was a monstrous foe he felt not only a duty to kill, but perhaps could even feel good about killing. To him, there was simply no need to consider the misplaced guilt regarding killing, mandated by the tenets of lawful civilization, where this foe was concerned. His natural ogre instincts towards savage brutality began to show through. He could finally let loose, if only a little.

Even through all this, he was still focused on the task at hand.

He attempted to dodge the snarling vampire's attacks, and his mind raced through tactical possibilities in clipped thoughts. These things look annoyingly human. Didn't say anything about them having dogs. This is taking too long. They aren't going down fast enough. Worried about O-Ren. Need to take them down faster before more come. He thought about what Alley and Grond had said earlier. Can't risk the cross, might drive them towards the prisoners. If it worked at all. Not sure if the daylight globe will keep them out. Wood to the heart? He thought about the wood in the rail gun, and what the old gypsy woman had told him. Would that work like a stake? Could try.

He attempted to fire a single shot from the rail gun directly into the relatively uninjured vampire's heart.

(Out of Character: Ozug will attempt to auto-dodge the vampire's attacks. Sorry that I am going to make this complicated, but Ozug will try a gambit, and will make a single shot Called Shot to the heart on Vampire 4 at close range, as per page 83 on Vampire Kingdoms: Revised. Since he's in melee range, I figure this should be considered "close quarters gunplay," but I of course defer to your judgement. I realized I don't even have the anti-vampire rail gun stated out on my character sheet, so I'll get to that right after this post.)

At point blank range, Ozug is nearly pressing the barrel of the rail gun against the chest of the vampire as it bites and claws at you. The wooden rounds rip a huge hole in its chest, but a few of the slivers are still stuck in its chest as the monster collapses in a heap on the floor.
Just so everyone knows, when using wooden weapons against vampires, I am using the house rule that a critical strike, even if you don't declare an Aimed Shot, you impale the heart and disable the vampire.

O-Ren lets out a "Whoop!" as another of the fiends fall under the power of the wooden rounds. With the demon dogs on her heels, she decides to shift her attack to deal with them. But, not knowing if they are mega damage creatures, she shifts the hold of her shotgun to just one hand and activates her Psi Sword. With a powerful swing, she aims her blade to hit Hound 1.

Nasoth cries out as the wicked monsters tear at her delicate-seeming-yet-mega-damage-resistant skin. When they've gotten close, she whirls around and breathes out at them, sending a purple mist of paralyzing gas into their faces even as the globe of pure Daylight she has positioned behind them press them ever closer to the Badger's deadly weapons.

OOC: Soaking the three attacks, and using my Breath weapon. Dif 16 save vs non-lethal poison. Alternatively, if we know for a fact that it doesn't work, she'll just lash out at one of them.

O-Ren's Psi Sword cuts into the Hound deep, but it doesn't kill it. It lets out a snarl of pain, and they once more they try to bite you. They will hit unless you parry or dodge.

Sir Talbert spins around and lops off the head of the injured #7

Vampire 8 takes a quick assessment of the odds, and tries to lunge at the prisoners that are chained up on the wall but is stopped short by Grond's Globe of Daylight spell that is still active over them.

Grond winds up with a power punch. It is a small and weak one, and Grond is a skilled combatant, and the combination of the two meet at a point deep inside the chest of the vamp. With a sickening squish, it slides off of the fist that is stuck inside it and collapses on the ground.

The three vampires tackle Nasoth, and between the three of them, you take 36 MDC. A scratch for a powerful creature such as you. But, your return attack of the breath weapon doesn't seem to do much to the vampires, other than make them blink a bit. Perhaps you'll need to try a different tactic.

Seeing the fight is well in hand, Ozug moves to flank the pair of dogs that are attacking O-Ren. Rather than shoot the rail gun and risk hitting O-Ren, or drop the rail gun, he instead attempts to deliver a powerful front kick to the wounded hound.

(Out of Character: Ozug will do a regular kick to Demon Hound 1, hoping he will be able to injure it with his supernatural strength.)

The monstrous hound tries to dodge out of the way of the powerful kick, but it fails to do so. The kick slams into its head with enough force to crush the skull of a normal person, but the supernatural nature of the hound keeps it from being killed right off. It does take some damage, but it is still up and functional.

Your Psi Sword once more hits and bites in deep, but the monster dog is still alive and kicking. Or biting, in this case. This time, however, the two doggies turn on Ozug, trying to take a bite out of you. They will hit unless you dodge or parry

Sir Talbert wields his sword with deadly precision, and moves in to finish off the injured beast.

Grond draws his giant vibro-sword, and gives a powerful swing to the remaining dog. It hits and does some serious damage, but it is still alive.

He was surprised the monstrous hound shrugged off his attack so easily, and the ogre quickly attempted to dodge the return strike. They're on me now. Just as planned.

He tried a second kick to the remaining dog, this time with much more force.

(Out of Character: Ozug will attempt to dodge the incoming attacks, then do a power kick this time [should be like, 2d4x10+2 M.D.], which should expend his remaining attacks.)

Liza Kreuzer

As the vampires storm in her direction, Liza raises the cross in her hand, calling a blinding flash to disorient them if somehow possible.
[Can I use my delayed action for the announced blinding flash? If not, just ignore this part.]

She then awaits their attack, swiftly moving between their strikes - she seems to anicipate most of them, as if she'd always be a step ahead of the twisted creatures. Like a dancer, full of confidence that none of the creatures will be able to harm her. And sometimes, that confidence alone can make you survive. If you believe strong enough, your will alone can change the future.
[dodging the attacks - +7 thanks to intuitive combat]

But dodging alone won't win this fight - and thus, she uses the first opening to strike herself, the wooden quarterstaff shooting forward for a forceful blow against the nearest creature, aiming to at least drive it back for a short moment. "Don't fool yourself, you cannot win. No matter what happens, you are lost in this world. You're feasting in hopes to find a purpose - but the only way to escape would have been to walk right into the bright sun, and show that you are more than the shell of a once proud man."

In the Cellar

Ozug's mighty foot strike slams into the dog, sending it sprawling in the dirt, bleeding profusely from its head wound. It twitches a few times, but other than that, it lies motionless.

Moving out of combat time.

Sir Talbert moves over to the twitching dog and slices its head off with his blade, just to make sure it is truly dead. By this point, the people chained up on the wall are starting to respond, calling out for someone to free them.

Grond looks up at the cellar door with a grunt. "I can still feel the presence of the undead nearby. A lot of them. The others haven't finished up their work yet. Keep the innocents down here, and once we are all done then they can be free to return to Haven. I have vampires to fight." With that, he heads for the stairs up to ground level where he will join in the fighting up top.

What does O-Ren and Ozug do now?

Liza fires off her Blinding Flash as the swarm of monsters comes pouring out of the farmhouse, screaming for blood. While invulnerable to most weapons, a vampire's eyes still work the same way as they did before, and it is dazzled by the light. This helps the mystic to be able to dodge the attacks heading her way.

Atlanta takes this opportunity to aim at vampire 5 with another burst from the rail gun, causing extreme damage to the fiend.

The brother and sister team of Tony and Tia continue to double team their targets, this time targeting vampire 6. Its not truly dead yet, but it will take several minutes to heal up enough to be a threat again.

Vampires 7-10 continue to aggressively attack the pair of Borgs, this time only one manages to get a claw strike in on Tony. His armor is still holding strong.

Alley swivels her water cannon around and fires another spray, trying to take some of the pressure off of Tony. Vampire 7 is now screaming in pain as it is melting from the water blast, and the bedraggled Tony flashes a thumbs up as a brief thank you for the help.

Underdog continues to use his silver axes, this time on #12. It is hurt, but still active - for now.

In response, the swarm tries to pin him down, but the Crazy is fast enough to keep out of reach.

Marcos fires another flaming bolt, this time at vampire 12, knocking it out of the fight.
