General History:
Darrian and his older brother Miguel were born on the rough side of Spanish Harlem in New York. Their mother Celia, was an exotic dancer and drug addict who struggled to support her two boys. The boy's father was in and out of their lives, until he was incarcerated for twenty years to life for armed robbery and weapons possession. The state finally stepped in and confiscated Darran and Miguel. The two boys were sent to live with their uncle Enrique, who unbeknownst to the child care system, was a severe alcoholic himself. Enrique would go on wild binges and disappear for days, sometimes weeks, leaving both of his nephews to fend for themselves. Despite this, the boys still did well in school and as soon as he graduated, Miguel left and never looked back. He eventually became a police officer in the sleepy, rustic town of Birch Hollow. When Darrian was fifteen, his uncle had died in a car wreck and it was than he chose to live with his older brother in Birch Hollow. The two brothers are all the family the other has and both of them struggle to find their way in the world.

The interior of the house consists a small living room, kitchen, bathroom and two modest size bedrooms on the second floor. The inside is cluttered per say, but looks like a typical house occupied by two bachelors. There are a few unclean dishes in the sink, a good amount of clothes are scattered about the floor in both rooms, the beds are naturally unmade and there are several fast food wrappers on the coffee table. Not really messy. but by no means spotless either.

General History: Rohan was actually born in India and immigrated with his parents around the age of 5 or 6. They moved into Birch Hollow after setting up an Indian food/goods store a few town over. Since then Rohan has grown up here, and became acquainted with his peers at school. He has never been popular, but he did find a group of students who he is friendly with, and has never been the target of bullying or the like. In terms of academics and athletics, his parents have high expectations which he strives to meet, and has started instilling those perfectionist values in himself. He ended up joining the soccer team and also does track and field. He knew he was gay for as long as he could remember, but only really accepted it when he was 13. He still hasn't come out to many of his friends though, and certainly not to his parents.
Current Home: The Shah home is a small two-bedroom one-bathroom house with a kitchenette and no dining room. Due to his parents odd work hours, he ends up eating alone most of the time anyway. Their small living room has a TV, a couch, and a coffee table. His parents' bedroom has a king-sized bed and two closets, and his own bedroom has a twin bed with one closet. He also has a TV in his room with a few video game consoles connected to it. He has a desk where he mostly keeps his laptop and an office chair. In terms of decorations their walls are fairly empty. His mother enjoys painting and sometimes hangs up her work around the house. Rohan has taken a few art classes as well throughout his years and has some of his drawings hung up as well. From the outside their house is nothing remarkable. It's painted a light blue and has a driveway big enough for a single car and a small walkway to the front door. The yard is also fairly small and unremarkable, but Rohan's father, who enjoys gardening, has planted various flowers running along either side of the walkway.

Me and my younger brother have different fathers, unfortunately they both had left our family at an early age, growing up we only knew my mother as a constant. My mother growing up developed a drinking problem, and me being the oldest I took whatever abuse she threw my way and saved my brother from it. We have a habit of moving back and forth to our home state and back, but for the past 8 years we’ve been here, in Birch Hollow.

Current Home:
We live in a nice little house, painted a pale blue on the outside with a nice porch to walk into the house on. The inside has 3 basic bedrooms, one of them of course being a master with its own bathroom that my mother had given to me generously. A small kitchen with a bar leading into the living room just barely fitting our wraparound couch and tv against the wall on top of an entertainment stand. My brothers room was pretty small, with barely enough room for his dresser adorned with his many games and his game systems, with a simple tv. My mothers room was filled with her many crafts she spent doing alone in her room to make what little income she can on top of her disability check every month.

Appearance

Description: She stands at around 5'9, give or take, and is a relatively well built young lady, with real muscle where she needs it. Her hair's never too well kept, and is that distinct very very very dark brown that effectively looks black in all other lighting. Otherwise, kept short and practical. Annoyingly frizzy till she's dried it properly too. Eyes are a dark and deep heavy brown. As I suppose could be expected, her skin's a lovely warm olive like colour.

Wardrobe: Jan's a tomboy at heart, always has been, and probably always will be. That said, tomboy in no way means unfashionable. In fact, Janny rather likes and enjoys to keep atop of the latest trends. So you'll typically see her toting the latest boyish trends and looks around town.

Positives:
- Bold, She isn't afraid or anxious upon meeting new people. And doesn't particular hold back in voicing her own feelings and opinions.
- Active, definitely not the type to be sitting still for too long. She rather enjoys sports, both watching and competing. And she's always up for anything her friends suggest, give or take.
- Witty, Surprising, but true. For such a rough 'n Tough type of gal, Janny isn't half the natter box when she wants to be. Dry and sometimes cheeky, she's a talent for making people smile and knows all the best dirtiest jokes. I blame the Father...
Negatives:
- Quick tempered, In more ways than one. Janny's quick tempered in the sense that, she's quick to quite determinedly choose and firmly stick with her first emotional reaction to a situation, even if in later hindsight, it may be an irrational one. And unfortunately, anger and irritation are the easiest to come and trickiest to go.
- Impulsive, Only when the result is fruitful is impulsiveness a blessing. The rest of the time, it is a downright hindrance.
- Purely as the title implies. This girl could swear for all of Greece, good Lord...
Fears:
- Falling Heights, she's actually not that bad at, no real problem there. But the idea of actually falling, from that height. Big yikes.
- Frogs. Just, not keen. Not keen AT ALL.
Ailments:
Now, this is interesting. From when she was even little, her Dad had an inkling that something just wasn't quite right with the way Janny's moods ran. So he got her checked out at the appropriate facilities, and as it happens, Janus suffers from Cyclothymic disorder. Luckily, she has never been diagnosed as fully Bipolar, simply Cyclothymic. Papa Galanis made the decision to keep this on the down-low from his own daughter. He figured that since it was a mild enough condition, there was no reason for Janus to be worrying about or dealing with the Stigma that arises from a diagnosis like that. So he's simply kept a watchful eye on it all these years. And honestly, he's happy for it to stay that way for now. He'll look after her.

A tall lanky man (Like Father like Daughter) that stands at around 6'4. Granny Galinis calls him 'wiry', and always gives him extra portions at family Dinner, so there's that I suppose. His figure can be a little imposing I suppose, what with being that tall, be he's a big old gentle giant really, honest, I promise.

Positives:
- Family-Man, really cares for his family when it gets down to it. Even if it is a little one, and just a bit broken. It's golden to him nonetheless.
- Funny, the King of Dad jokes. Knows all the worst/best puns. Has taught his protege well.

Negatives:
- Worry-wart, a trait that's more newly developed than the others. He can get lost in his concerns truth be told. But Jan usually manages to get him out of his own head, usually anyway.
- Competitive, perhaps not in the more obvious way you'd expect. He won't go about starting fights if he loses a bet of game or what have you, but he will certainly go home and beat himself up for hours on end if there's something he cannot master or do as easily as others.

Fears:
- Anything happening to Jan, I mean what else is there for a Father to worry about?

General History - Diogenes Father brought his small family to America for the same reason everyone seemingly goes there. Nothing much held them to remain in Greece, although loving of their country, it provided little to no opportunity of success to them. And so, to America they went. Diogenes was around, fifteen? Upon arrival in the States. And like any other wild and rambunctious teenager, the boy let loose and let rip amongst the newfound freedoms and frivolities America provided. While his Mother and Father worked two low paying jobs a day, Diogenes neglected his academic pursuits and instead, focused more upon the intense study of the local women. He continued to fall further and further down into this pit of degeneracy and debauchery, despite any efforts of his parents. His Father always claimed he drove his Mother to her wits end, literally. That was of course, until Janny arrived.

It was a cold February day, sometime in the afternoon. He'd only just dragged himself out of bed when there was a knock at the door. Standing there, in the rain, was a very cross looking woman he did not recognise, and a beleaguered looking council official, holding... a baby? Janus, was in every way possible, a surprise. To both Mother and Father. Janny's Mother (Who he simply cannot remember the name of, no matter how hard he tries) stood at the Galanis' door with her eight day old baby daughter, ready to give her up right there and then. She gave Diogenes an ultimatum, she did not, and had never wanted this baby. It was a mistake that she regretted immensely. So there were two options. Either he take the baby and deal with it himself, or it goes to Social Services and gets put up for Adoption.

Well, lemme tell you, making an immense moral decision like that at 3 O'Clock in the afternoon whilst you're wearing a shirt that hasn't been washed for three days certainly puts a man in a odd state of mind. But of course, underlying softie that he is, he took her in. Diogenes had never set out to become a Father, at least not this early on in his life, and definitely not in the circumstances he found himself in. And yet, alas, here he was. Both Granny and Grandfather Galinis were a very big help in those early years, despite Granny's increasingly diminishing memory (Early onset dementia, it's a real bugger). But things grew steadily trickier for Diogenes. His Father died in 2005, and unable to care for both a young emotionally unstable toddler and a progressively infirm senior, he had to place his Mother in a care home that same year.

He works diligently now as a Janitor for the High School, as he didn't really have the education or skills for anything much else. He worries a lot, poor dear. He worries about his Mother, and how much of a disappointment he's been, and he worries intensely that he has not been a good enough Father for Janny. She tells him otherwise however quite often, in fact very often, in fact she often tells him to stop brooding about it already and hurry up and sit down 'cause the damn game is starting! He still has hopes of course. In fact, he's training and studying and trying his absolute hardest to join up with the local police force. It would provide a good little Nest-Egg for Janny when she needs it, and he wouldn't have to worry about his Mothers care home bills anymore. Fingers crossed he can just pass the test...

Granny Galanis currently resides in an assisted living care home a little ways out of town. While her dementia makes it difficult for her to live on her own, it has not yet diminished her mind completely.
