The 4000 class of steam locomotive in this universe is designed specifically to pull freight. With a top speed of 80mph and enough power to pull 5.6 mile long trains, the 4000 class is the pinicle of heavy duty freight trains. My character owns this 4000 class locomotive which runs supplies from the equestrian steel factories and quarries at appaloosa all the way to New York Central in Manehattan. A total of 400 miles to travel in only a maximum of 5 days. My character in particular is the driver of the steam locomotive 4-9-4 Or more commonly known as 'Manehattan Spirit'. Or as it's nickname refers to it 'The spirit of The Rails.

Mine is a Pegasus soilder of sorts. LOL if we have to maybe we can come up with a plot for this. Like some pieces are fitting together, at least in my mind. I have the start of an idea I could pitch.

What about an earth pony scientist who studies the nature of unicorn magic with the help of her unicorn graduate students

Alright I'm just going to pitch this but remember this is all based on the very limited knowledge I have of your OCs.

So maybe the unicorn scientist has made some type of amazing break in a lab on one side of equestria. Whatever this discovery is needs to be a big deal and something to keep secert from the rest of equestria for the time being.

This discovery then needs to be moved to a more secure location and quickly. Whatever this is doesn't need to fall into the wrong hands or get out. Maybe a royal air ship is to obvious and so for secrecy sake they find another method for transport. They recruit train pony to haul it accross the country along with his usual stock to keep it hidden. They would escort it obviously to stay involved in the plot. They could need it moved to a lab in manhatten.

My soilder could be one of the ponies Celestia sends to protect it/the scientist while it's crossing equestria.

We will need some opposition. A plot really is only as good as it's antagonists and we have had some people interested in rogue changelings. Perhaps they somehow catch wind of this and the discovery could be beneficial to them in some way. If we have two different factions of changelings they could compete with each other as well as the ponies on board the train.

The entire plot could take place over the 5 day train trip but if any of the changelings win in the end we could open into a long running plot. If you know it survives. This would also mean no plot armor so that any side is allowed to win.

Well...there is my pitch. If anyone likes this. Those of you who haven't shared your OC, if any of you are interested tell me who you plan to play and I can usually find away to work everyone in. If not I am open to more suggestions as well see if the original owner comes back with a plot of their own.

So basically he's a genius unicorn scientist and inventor named dr. Hoofla Tesscolt. He travels around equestria with his assistant and apprentice a blank flank Pegasus filly named Bubbly Clouds (she's kind of a giant Kirby reference). Bubbly clouds has a optimistic personality and she's a big eater. I have a few other character ideas but If I told you them I'd spoil all the characters that will be appearing in the fanfic I'm writing.

I'm sure we could figure something out for the sake of the plot. Maybe accommodations have been made if the royals are involved. We could also latch a new train cart on to it specially for hualing whatever this thing will be. Or maybe he is just a really experienced train conductor and the royals request he be put in charge of the a different/the train for this trip.

It would be hard to hide a single cart attached to something that doesn't have any others like it when you don't want it to draw suspcion. I'm sure with all the heads in here working together we can think of something.

Any race is fine, you just may be competing with not only the heroes but a different villain as well if thats okay and the guy wanting to be the bad changeling still wants to be involved. I guess the important part will be if your villain is interested in the discovery. You guys are awesome. This plot discussion is part of what drew me into MLP fandom. you can always count on Bronies and Pegasisters to cobble together a worthwhile plot.
Would I be able to control a Kitsune (multi-tailed fox with magic powers) traveling the world in search of purpose if I wanted in? And a Changeling disguised as a Pegasus seeking genuine love with someone who can appreciate his personality? I can always post more of their descriptions, if it’d help decide if they’d be welcome.

Maybe we could have an earth pony make a breakthrough and create a universal transportation portal but what happens is the experiment goes completely AWOL and instead of it being a transportation device it instead becomes a portal for a different universe to begin to invade equestria.

Like a modern humanity ends up invading and equestria has to deal with things like F-16's, F-22's, and A-10 Warthogs.

I don't exactly like the idea of humans invading Equestria, myself. It... I dunno, it just puts me off. Probably the clash of technology way beyond Equestria's standards against Equestrian magic just makes me feel like it's a nightmare of problems with branching plots waiting to happen.
Now, if the portal was to a dimension where darkness-based creatures existed, that vague description would be perfect for me to work with, as I have a villain idea in mind who would be perfect for that. He's a Kitsune, like my primary character, only he's driven by greed and dreams of becoming the single most powerful Kitsune in the world, his ultimate ambition being to conquer the world and enslave anyone and everyone else with powerful magic. And, considering he's been around a while, he's got a lot of power to start with. The elders among the Kitsunes banished him because they feared what he could do with the dark magics he was studying and trying to master, but though they have kept his threats secret from the outside world, they have always known he would eventually come back. And, as Equestria has the Elements of Harmony and this "portal", he'd target it for both, seeking to harness the portal as a means to seek out new power, and to destroy the Elements or their Bearers and make them incapable of providing a means to stop him.
Just throwing that out there for consideration. I've finished my Kitsune and Changeling Heroes if anyone wants to see.
By the way, Kraz, is that icon of yours from that Umbrella stick figure animation? I loved those animations! So epic!
