Multiple Settings Murderhobo: The RP (Official)

(Moving on.)

"Alright! Let's snag ourselves some exotic loot!" All of the group murderhobos were ready to go where no other murderhobo has gone before. The crossroads of the dimensions, known humbly as the Ear of Horror. Few willingly entered and returned sane or intact. However, murderhobos need no sanity check. Being a murderhobo has its advantages.

As the group flew to the entry point with a looted gunship and brought weapons, a few helicopters attempted to intercept the murderhobo gunship. It was evident that they are taking lengths to ensure the group doesn't enter the Ear of Horror. The choppers were given authority to engage the gunship. The gunship was no pushover either. It was heavily armed and armored enough to fight back.

The murderhobo gunship has several options:

A) Automatic cannon fire

B) Hellfire missiles

C) Railgun rockets

I doubt we have aim, so SHOOT CANNON SHELLS EVERYWHERE

"Crash and burn!" Ronan set it up and then knocked it down. Locking onto the choppers, each missile was a direct hit. Not wanting to further was missiles, the cannons were used as the finishing barrage. "Now that's how you deal with bogeys."

Just as they were about to enter, a barrage rang out that grazed the gunship, giving the flying fortress a new paint-job in the process. It originated from what appeared to be some sort of autonomous superheavy tank. "Murderhobos, you don't stand a chance! Surrender and you will all be treated with mercy!"

Ronan snorted with laughter. "Nice try, but look what happened to your helicopter buddies. We're not to be bargained with."

Now was the time to retaliate:

A) Auto-cannon suppressive slaughter

B) Give hell with missiles

C) Wreck with the railgun rockets.

Railgun him. Armor is tough, but you can't exactly argue with a damn railgun.

The railguns fired the powerful warheads at the autonomous tank. Unsurprisingly, the autonomous tank was wrecked in one fell swoop. Though it didn't come with side effects. The gunship wobbled from in the air. Hopefully nobody was airsick.

As soon as the group landed, a few choices remained:

A) Loot around the area on the ground for improvised munitions or armor reinforcements (take the opportunity to scavenge)

B) Enter the Ear of Horror (leave the opportunity)

Throw up, wipe mouth, Enter the ear.

Don't need stragglers to try and assault us.

Ronan noted to clean up the mess after the nose scratcher. But since there was no time for that, off to the Ear of Horror. The Ear of Horror was a strange place. It wasn't material by no means, so a murderhobo's power is amplified there. While there is plenty of risk, there is also plenty of reward.

All of the murderhobos felt Herculean in physical and mental faculties. The area was easy to get lost in. But not for the environment, but for the intoxication it induced in murderhobos. Maybe this is why across existence, murderhobos are drawn to this area. The Ear of Horror was the source of murderhobo'ism.

The reverie was interrupted by a trio of (what appears to be) fey-looking bikers. The bikes they rode upon were of an obsidian tone and adorned with spikes. Weapons wielded gave a violet hue and glowed. "Ooh, playthings!" The murderhobos weren't intimidated at all, guns readied.

The group had two options to tackle the problem:

A) Engage with guns

B) Go for melee

"SLAANESHI WHORES!" He would shout as he started firing mag rounds at them.

Ronan fired at the hooligans. The nose scratcher followed suit. However, it was Reaper that engaged in melee, resulting in one of the bikers taking out a poisoned glaive. The bikers were artillery made of glass. Sure they were capable of dishing out plenty of damage, but they weren't able to receive in turn. As the Reaper swiped at the group in melee, the bikers dodged but were hit by the projectiles. Ronan knew that his gun's projectiles were slower; he led his targets rather than firing blindly. The nose scratcher's magnetic gun was fast enough to keep up. One was down by the sheer force of shotgun slug, another injured by magnetic slugs, while the other was engaged in melee combat with the Reaper. They were fast for sure, but fragility was obvious.

In retaliation, the injured one fired a volley of purple shards. While the shards were indeed fast, everyone was able to anticipate the volley. Some choices included:

A) Combat roll dodge

B) Hooligan shield with the group pushing the melee biker in the way

C) Shield self from the shards

Shield self from shards. No fancy maneuvers need to be done here.

While the nose scratcher got a few shards in, no other effects other than large splinters were encountered. In normal folks, the shards' toxic venom would have caused crippling pain beyond imagination. Murderhobos were immune due to the Ear of Horror empowering them. Just as the enemy gunner was about to unload the rest of his weapon into the nose scratcher, Ronan grabbed the other fey-biker to act as a human shield. The volley instead killed the colleague. "Dead or alive, we're delivering you to our Archon!" The injured hooligan was still give everything he got, reloading.

Options:

A) Deliver the finishing blow using the enemy's weapons against him (poisoned blade or shard gun)

B) Use whatever's at hand to deal the kill

Rip off his ears and stuff them down his throat to cover his screams.

Just as Ronan was about to use the weapons the fey bikers had against them, the rest of the murderhobo troupe finished off the last enemy. Seeing the poisoned blade as useful once ammunition is out, he snatched it from the corpses. "Well done, Nose-picker! Likewise for you, Reaper!"

(Let me know if your characters actually have names. Unless you like nicknames.)

All of a sudden, red demons with flaming swords were encountered. "TO SLAUGHTER! BLOOD!"

Battle actions include:

A) Attack at range to stop them in tracks with conventional weapons

B) Melee the monsters

C) Use scavenged weapons from the fey-biker bodies

(my character's real name is Darien, but he prefers The Reaper or just Reaper)

Melee is how I do it. Chop.

(His name is Krieg, but he wears a mask. He never really picks his nose, he furiously scratches at the mask.)

Mag gun best gun, fire away!

The demons collided with the murderhobos. "SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!" One of the demons was locked in melee combat with Reaper. While Reaper got a direct hit on the demon, it countered with a punch to break the deadlock. Krieg hits a demon with his barrage, but it slows him down enough to allow for counterattacks. Ronan sees a demon going for him, prompting him to use the looted shard launcher against the demon. A bloodcurdling scream was heard after the demon became a pincushion from the volley. While momentarily stopped, it got mad enough to charge! Ronan fortunately had a poisoned blade at the ready.

Each of the combatants had a few options.

Reaper can:

A) Go for the legs

B) Decapitate

C) Literally disarm

Krieg:

A) Headshot

B) Kneecap

C) Center of mass
