Wh-why? Monsters never come this close to town! Where are the hunters?

The world of Monster Hunter has been changed. Every monster, even small ones, have experience a terrifying increase to the aggression. Monsters were already difficult enough to fight already. This sudden change caught hunters off guard. Bloodshed and carnage was everywhere. The number of hunters was cut in half within a year. Only the best of the best are left, and very few people are willing to become a Monster Hunter. Travel is dangerous. Land and Sea are plagued with monsters. The sky is no safer. The Guild needs hunters. The Guild needs you. What could be causing this anomaly?

General Rules:

1. All RpN Rules apply here.

2. You can have romance. PG-13 and FtB.

3. Cursing is fine. Don't get too trigger happy.

4. Make sure you know a good bit about Monster Hunter if you're going to roleplay.

5. This roleplay is heavily based off the games.

Character Rules:

1. You can start off as any kind of hunter you want. You could be a veteran, a rookie, or anything inbetween.

2. You can have whatever kind of armor you'd like, except for armor from Elder Dragons.

3. You can only have one character at a time.

4. You're character cannot be a monster. (Well it can, but it will be brutally murdered by everyone else.)

Questing Rules:

1. You can go on any quest you'd like except for any quest involving Elder Dragons.

2. I will have a special quest to hunt an Elder Dragon posted every now and then. Anyone who signs up for the quest in time can go on the Special Quest to hunt an Elder Dragon that I myself will control.

3. There will be no time limit for quests, but one 'knockout' means you've failed, or you're hunter got eaten up. (Chomp chomp.) You can always give up.

Battling Rules:

1. There will be no Godmodding or Auto Hitting. (You're not going to block or dodge every attack, unless you're going against a weak monster. If you are controlling the targeted monster then of course your hunter can auto hit it if you like.)

2. Try to take turns attacking. Some people are slower typers. If you notice someone hasn't posted in awhile, wait a bit for the poor person.

3. When role playing the monster, you're the same monster from the games. You don't suddenly have a new hidden ability.

4. This is based off the game, so your hunters are able to withstand attacks just like in the game.

This is still incomplete.

Of course, this is a WIP so I'm open to your opinions.
