Hello! I am, the Gossip Link! (You can just call me Gossip...or Link. Eh, you get the point.) Any who, if you clicked on this thread you must be interested, right? Well, if that's the case let me give you a quick idea of what this RP would be, before going into finer detail~
This RP is heavily inspired, and a lot of things were taken, from the anime Puella Magi Magica Modoka. Now, you don't need to have ever watched it to join the RP. Because...well this RP is only inspired by it. (So many things I stole from it...) You see, the show was amazing! But I don't think it has amazing RP potential, as far as longevity goes. So I took a lot of ideas from it, and turned it into my own little world~
The idea of this, is it's going to be a magical girl (maybe boys as well) high school RP. Now normally, you wouldn't catch me dead doing anything 'normal' (like a high school RP), but in this case I feel like it's mixed with enough of magic to make things still awesome! I don't do well with trying to cram a bunch of info into a simple paragraph for you to read...so I know I did a terrible job. But hopefully I got you intrigued! If I did, this entire thing is explained below~

Oh? Who are you? I don't think I've ever seen you...do you know who you are? No?...you seem to be...different. A lot of potential...do you remember anything?...well that's a shame. Perhaps...I'm going to tell you something, okay? Just trust me, in that what I'm saying is the truth.
Since the dawn of time, evil, dark entities have been raining havoc on the human race. Killing, maiming, and overall halting the growth of humans. But one day, a day so long ago that no one remembers, people started fighting back. Now you see, physical weapons that humans constructed never worked on these creatures. In fact, a 'mortal' cannot even see these beasts of darkness. But eventually, some very select humans gained powers far beyond that of a 'mortal', and they could see these creatures. Slowly but surely, with these 'new' humans leading the charge, they began pushing out their evil oppressors from their lands. Even though it would be nearly a thousand years later, humanity finally took back their rightful place on planet Earth.
Flash forward a few thousand years later, and we find ourselves here, in modern times. 7/6/2016 to be exact. At this point, it's been twenty-three years since the MAGIC program took place. Oh wait...you don't know what that is, do you? Let me explain. Twenty-three years ago, it became apparent to our world leaders that the 'darkness', was massively spreading. People were dying to beasts they couldn't even see. And those who could see, and fight them back, were mostly all untrained. Slowly, it seemed like the world was taking itself back from humanity. Brought together in this time of crisis, they agreed in the World Congress, to institute a world wide program known as MAGIC. Oh ah, that stands for 'Magical Adolescents Guaranteeing International Control.' It fits.
Some people, about 1/3, have a natural talent. This talent, is known as magic. Now, this isn't the stuff of fantasy books, this stuff is legit. It's more prominent in females, but some males have it as well. With the MAGIC progr-hold on a sec...ah, dammit! Look, you have to get out of here, I don't have time to explain. Just run till you get to the next town, it's not too far from here. There, you'll be safe. Now, go!
Well I hope that did some good! I was going to give you a standard introduction to the main points of this world, but I thought that was a little better! Oh, and in case it wasn't clear enough, that's NOT the starting plot to the RP. I just thought it would be neat~ But all of that's over now. From here on out, it'll be actual explanations of how things work in this world. I'm going to try to make it as interesting, and not long winded as possible! (I don't know if it will be, but just in case...)

Magical Adolescents Guaranteeing International Control. This, is the program instituted by the World Congress twenty-three years ago. Here's the basics of what was included in this proposal:
At age of thirteen, if an adolescent has shown magical potential, then they are drafted into one of the MAGIC high schools. There, they will develop not only their academic careers as normal students will, but they will also be enrolled in unique classes to train them and their magical talents.
Should a child graduate this school, they will then be encouraged to join the MAGIC program. However, they will have the ultimate decision on their own life choices. With the exception of some countries customs, in which the family or government may hold the right to enforce it according to their own laws.
A child can only apply, and join at the age of eighteen, with having graduated one of the MAGIC high schools. With the exception of certain individuals, of course. Once a member, the child is then no longer considered a citizen to their home country, nor any other country. They will be considered in a spot of higher importance, and can freely travel to any country so as long as they have their ID with them. They are also excused to the laws of any land they are in, but this does not grant them the security of not being harmed or punished by local law enforcement. Should this happen, they will be tried by the officials of MAGIC, and it will be determined if they did something deserving of any punishment.
Every member of MAGIC must follows it's rules, and will be subject to potentially severe punishment for not abiding by them. These are as follows:
No harming another MAGIC agent, or human with specific intent.
Refrain from assuming force on anything other then Darkness, unless if it's ultimately necessary. This does not apply to enforcing the laws of the current country you're in.
Obey all orders given by a superior, and do not question authority.
(There are several other 'rules' that one must obey, but those are the main three. For the most part, anyways.)
That's basically what the MAGIC program is. At least, what it is on the outside front. On the inside, there's a lot more to it. But that's not important right now.

So all of the freshmen are thrown together in one or two magic classes, along with everything else a 'normal' student would learn. (In different classes of course!)
This starting year is really important, because you are constantly being evaluated by the teachers. They are trying to determine your 'Primary Skill'. Now I've said this before, so let me explain it before I go on any further. There are three 'Primary Skills'. They are: Supporter, Weapon's Master, and Purger.
Supporter: This class, is for those whose magical talent primarily is used for supporting others. Naturally, certain people have the skill to boost another person. 'Supporters' are never alone, as they are used to apply their magic to another person. Whether that means giving them strength, speed, or pretty much any other benefit, that's what these guys are for. Normally, people who are fit into this class have a stronger aura for 'blessings'. Typically, Supporters don't fight themselves. But it isn't unheard of, for one to also have a prowess to fight.
Weapon's Master: This class, is the bulk of most students. These are the people, who were destined to fight the Darkness one on one. Extremely skilled in all forms of combat, Weapon Master's can summon various magical weapons to fight with. The applications are near endless with this class, but most people tend to only use one type of weapon. Whether that be swords, spears, or bows. Or something more modern, such as guns, explosives, etc. Normally, people who fit into this class have a higher duration with their mana, allowing them to fight harder, and longer. It's not uncommon to see lone Weapon Master's, but it's more often seen as a duo. (A Weapon's Master, paired with a Supporter.)
Purger: These guys...are hard to classify. It's rare for one to have the talent for this class. To put things in perspective, there's usually only one person at most in the entire school, who has the natural ability to have this class. Their powers aren't fully understood by anyone, even themselves. All that one could say, is they are extremely powerful, and dangerous. They have the power to level cities if needed, and it's said that they can 'purge' your soul in a single touch. These people, are the only one's who can truly eliminate Darkness. While the other classes can destroy the form a creature of Darkness is taking, Purger's can kill it's soul directly. Making it never able to return.
With all of that said, let me go back to explaining the high school itself. So, freshmen year the students are being evaluated to determine their Primary Class. If it was confirmed, then they go into Sophomore year.
If asked, most students would say that Sophomore year is the best! As a mini graduation ceremony, the student forges their 'Soul Gem'.
Soul Gem: While the process is still not fully understood, the student will receive a jewel known as a 'Soul Framework'. Using this jewel, the student then takes anywhere from one, to several weeks alone with this gem, till they become connected with it. Should the process complete normally, the Soul Framework jewel, then becomes a Soul Gem specific to that person. From then on, this gem becomes one with it's user. This allows greater use with magic, and generate a much larger pool of mana for one to use. This also unlocks a ton of hidden powers in a person, and they can then 'transform' into their 'magical state'. In this state, they transform into a different outfit, and a slightly different physical appearance based on the Soul Gem.
Magical State: When using the Soul Gem, one can transform into this alternate state. In this state, on the physical side, you gain a cool looking outfit based on your Soul Gem. But you also look slightly different, with your features either being more toned, or more gentle. It provides a superior strength, agility, speed, etc. To that of a normal man. On the magical side, you become much more adept. Connecting with the Soul Gem in this state, provides a much larger mana pool to tie into, allowing you to use a ton more magic. Not to mention, it also massively boost your magical powers.
During Sophomore year, the students begin a new class that takes the place of the 'Magic: Basics', with 'Magic: Primary Skills.' Whatever Primary Skill was determined for the student, is then tested once more when the student receives their Soul Gem, to make sure it was the right decision. If so, the student takes one of the three courses, based on their Primary Skill.
Rolling around into Junior year, students take then take this year to determine their 'Passive Skills', and 'Other Skills'. Now let me explain these to you.
Passive Skills: These are most often typical skills, that a student has anywhere from 3-10 of. These are all things that just occur naturally to the student. Such as; heightened awareness, greater strength, greater speed, higher intelligence, etc.
Other Skills: These affect Supporters, and Weapon's Master mostly. It's basically just a system to determine what exactly it is in your Primary Skill, that you're the best with. Example; Supporters can have 'other skills' such as healing, mana boosting, physical boosting, etc. While Weapon Master's can have swords, guns, explosives, etc.
Again, the whole point of Junior year is to figure out these skills, but it's fairly easy to determine.
Finally, we have Senior year. In this last year you take a final advanced course, that tests all of your magical skills that you've acquired during high school. It's very hard to pass this final class, but the rewards are great if you do!
So that's how the high school works! I hope I did I good enough job explaining everything.
The setting, we can determine ourselves. I haven't decided between setting it somewhere in the United States, or in Japan...let me know your opinion!
Now, I probably should explain how the powers work...just look up a video from Puella Magi Magica Madoka. Watching one or two of those should give you a good enough idea of how magic, and combat goes. Not to mention how the 'transformation' into your magical state works~
Now, I at first wanted this to be just a 1x1, but if this gets enough interest it can be made into a small group! But I'm fine either way, I suppose. Just no more then...I'll say four people. I also really wanted to make this into a romance RP. So if it's going to be a 1x1, that's going to be a major theme. If it's a small group...anyone interested in a little romance? *nudge, nudge*
Oh, and as far as romance goes, no sex scenes. I say that mostly because of the sites rules, but also because...well, it would make people uncomfortable. But feel free to take it as far as you want, so as long as you don't go over the line! (Don't forget, we would be starting out with 14-15 year old characters!)
You can play as either male, or female. But this is meant to be a 'magical girl' RP, so I'd really prefer you play female! Also, I like to RP with dark themes. So let me say, it's okay if there are dark scenes. Blood, swearing, you know what I'm talking about. Just don't take it...too far, you know? I would like this be a more happy themed RP, but still.
No god modding, no Mary Sues, etc.

Because my character is going to be terribly shy, and super clumsy. So the idea that she turns out to be one of the most powerful magic users, is just amazing~
