      0. You do not need to have watched Soul Eater to join

      1. All characters will be entering the Paean Program. This means your character has received a demerit, a punishment for exceeding 10 reported obstructions on their record; ranging from mission endangerment, property damages, to teamwork misconduct or a series of other issues. Players are free to design the nature of why their character is entering this program.

      2. Players are allowed 1 character at the start of the RP. The max number of characters allowed are 3 per player.

      3. There are 3 Options to pick from. Meisters, Weapons, and Casters/Mages.

      4. Players who pick a Meister or Weapon will not have a partner at the start of the RP. Your character either lost their partner at some point in the previous year, or their partnership was terminated by a Instructor due to the partnership sorely lacking in benefits for both your character and their former partner.

      5. Players who are Casters, will not need partners. Casters, have more diversity in abilities and will not require or need a partner at all to fight.

      6. Any player that is a Meister or Weapon that would prefer their character to be a Soloist; strong enough without a partner, should DM me.

      7. Next gen canon OCs are not allowed. Players can have connections or links to some canon characters provided they check with me first.




      The DWMA Uniform is modifiable. In most cases it isn't entirely a strict dress code, it is possible to wear normal clothes that have the yellow, red, black, and white color scheme of DWMA. Or a person can modify the uniform to their liking.

      DWMA also has insignia's of Lord Death's mask on clothing that can be worn. All Agents are required to wear something bearing Death insignia if they choose not to wear the uniform.

      Guild of Magic Uniform is made of a black, cobalt blue, and purple color scheme. Modifications can be made so long as the symbols of the Guild are not touched. Messing with the symbol of the uniform results in expulsion.

      Keep in mind some species carry racial abilities; you'll have to add those racial abilities to the Power Section

      -Human: You'll see DWMA still has a majority of humans in its ranks. Power wise humans tend to be stronger in spiritual energy.

      - Demon Weapon: Sub-species of Human.

      - Earth-Shaman: Another sub-species of human.

      -Wicked: The specie name for Witches if your character is a Witch. Witches are very potent in magic, to the point where they have magical entities they are connected to that represent the animal themes they have. Eruka Frog's bombs or Arachne's spiders are examples.

      -Hybrid: (Do not include Demon Weapon x Humans or Earth Shaman x Human because they do not count. Hybrids may inherit a few minor racial abilities depending on their parent races. The term is often used for Human x Race.

      - Werewolf: Are members of the remaining survivors of the Immortal Clan. They have shifting abilities between their human form and beast form. Naturally they are stronger than humans in either form and have better senses.

      - Fairy/Fae: Are literal fae. The abilities they possess vary and is up to player discretion. Most common abilities range in size-shifting, flight, and particle spawning.

      - Bloodsucker: Are recent additions to the organization. They gain strength from blood, and can slightly alter their forms for a brief period.

      -Player Made: must be discussed with GM.

      Demerit Reason: { why your character is in the program should be connected to their background. What did they do to get put in? }

      When and why did your character join DWMA or the Guild of Magic?

      What inspired them to join? What pushed them to stay? What sort of views did they have at the start how did those views change to now?

      Did the characters family have an influence in their decision to join? Were they supportive, were they not? How did this effect them?

      Both DWMA Agents & Casters go through 6 years of training before they reach Elite. Two years in Beta. Two Years in Gamma. One year in Epsilon. Think about the sort of social standing your character made for themself in that time, and where they started to hit bumps.

      Think about where they hit a very rough point, and what marks the place where they get the demerit.

      If your character is a DWMA Agent, think about what ended their last partnership. How many partnerships did they go through before settling on one?

      How good were they with working with others in general?

      How long has a partnership lasted for them? How did it change them?

      Did they end the partnership or did the partner end it?

      What other problems played a role in them getting a demerit? Were they failing missions? Were they not prepared for certain challenges till it was too late? etc

      If your character is a Caster, consider what they did wrong. What was their first violation? How many more did they make over the years?

      Or did they a few bad ones and not multiple? Did they cross a line and get a chance and take it?

      Were they on thin ice for awhile and did they think they would just get away scot free?

      The guild is known to have very severe punishments, punishments that are often never used because very few instances have occurred where there is even expulsion. Consider this when writing for your character. What violations they caused and whether they were forced to join or joined freely.

      Powers/ Combat: (will vary on role)
      Meisters: Are far more skilled in physical combat and more capable in adapting to both spiritual and magical situations because of their training. A Meister's fighting style is aligned closely with their Meister Type but is not the sole definition of their capabilities;
      Ex: Maka is a Scythe Meister, she specialized in scythe weaponry meaning she wouldn't have had any real focus in abilities that would deviate attention from her coordination, speed, and upper body strength. She also chose not to dive into other spiritual abilities because she had confidence in her skill with a Weapon. Maka also had Soul Perception; so she had sensory and tracking abilities that she developed. However she never focused on applying emotional abilities to her skillset because she never felt it was necessary and never favored emotional manipulation. These all play off her as a person, and aren't solely about what she could do.

      Weapons: Are very harmful against supernatural entities. Their style aligns with their Weapon form, as well as any other unique magical abilities they posses or develop overtime. A Demon Weapon who makes a larger focus on magical applied abilities may have less of a focus on physical combat. At the same time the kind of partner a Weapon has can influence their skills.
      Ex:Tsubaki could change into Japanese weapons, and her partner was an Assassin. So her skills in agility, and reflexes were pretty high as a result of her partner. She was also very adaptive in using her magical abilities in combat to support her partner.

      Casters: Are more magically talented with more diversity in abilities but lack greatly when it comes to physical combat by themselves compared to Meisters or even Demon Weapons.
      Ex: Madeleine is a Caster who focused on Elemental, Defensive and Potion Magic. Her interest in these three types of magic can reflect a bit about herself. She favored Fire & Lightning magic primarily because she wanted to be powerfully offensive; Defensive magic was added to make up for her own shortcomings when dealing with opponents face to face where she couldn't hit them without hurting herself in the process; and Potion Magic was studied so she could set up chemical traps to set off against her opponents since they would have no idea what her potions could do. These can tell you a bit about her aggressive personality and sense of self-preservation, but also shows you insight on her cunning in picking Potion magic to act as a back up.

      A Meister-Weapon unit is equal to a Caster in terms of raw power.

        Note: Fill what you feel best fits your character in term of their Meister Type and whether they branched out to expand on skills, or if they picked up new ones.

        Fighting Style: is based on the Meister type and the sort of Weapon they used; sword, a spear, gun, dual pistols/gun etc will influence this type. This also stems from their background in training and whether or not they practiced with normal weapons also outside of their field.

        Spiritual Techniques: Abilities that work on oneself, objects or their environment; these techniques cannot enhance your physical abilities or act as ranged attacks, but they can be used to project constructs or increase the durability of objects or used to create minor effects in one's environment like a shockwave.

        Empowerment: Is how far one's Spiritual Energy can enhance their physical body. Affecting strength, durability, speed, coordination etc. A player can focus on one feat or vary. This is also influenced by the Meister Type but is not the sole definition of their capabilities.
        Ex: A scythe Meister might focus on agility, dexterity and strength stats while a ranged Meister like a Gun type- might focus on dexterity, sight, and reflex stats.

        Soul Menace: Is an advanced skill that focuses on the ability to push one's Spiritual energy into another person. Abilities that can be ranged or internal are more applicable in this field.

        Perception: Is dependent on whether or not your character has any unique sensory abilities. Soul Perception falls into this category as well as any unique sensory abilities your character has developed or racially posses.

        AP: Aura Pressure is the ability to use one's Spiritual aura to create effects on others or environment. It can range in emotional projection, to psychic communication. Often times Intelligence Agents will have a skill set in this department.

    Face Claim: Magane Chikujōin

    AP: Forceful Empath- Adrasteia can project her emotions into her partner and then perceive her partner's emotions. Her emotions do not replace the partners; rather, they are a very strong presence like broadcasting them on a megaphone. Those nearby within 100 ft can also fall subject to this effect if open to it.

    Perception: Tremor Sense- By laying out their 30 ft of the whip and staying still Adrasteia can give their user a limited range of tremor sense within 5ft of wherever any of the chains lay.

    Autonomous Arts: Adrasteia practices a ranged fighting style using her chain weapon with blades instead of a limb which usually is one of her arms while the other manipulates and uses the weapon along with kicks.

    Magical Abilities: Toxicity- The chain sprouts tiny barbs, these barbs carry a numbing agent which at low doses, and at high doses, it causes the afflicted to suffer paralysis. The blades also gain this toxin at a higher dose than the barbs, able to utilize fewer strikes to get a high-dose effect. The toxin causes the chains to glow sickly yellowish-green lightly. Lower doses need up to one to eight strikes to achieve, while high doses need upwards of 50 for large targets especially. The blades require only 2/3 the number of hits compared to the tiny barbs on the chain.

    Resonance Abilities: Their resonance causes the whip to split at the handle into nine total single-bladed whips, all able to extend at a range of now 120 feet. The chains also can be controlled by the cooperation of both Meister and Weapon if they cooperate, making them animated and able to spread their toxin.
    Powers

    • Life before her change was absolutely normal and something she could take pride in. She discovered her transformation at around the normal young age like most, and her parents also were more than willing to let her pursue this ability at DWMA. She was patient, complacent, and above all else, she was quiet. Most teachers would remark as being dead silent, but due to her passivity, she found a partner quickly in the form of a rash kid by the name of Samsen. Together, largely uninterrupted, the kept their grades up and Adrasteia and Samsen grew stronger with Samsen being basically the one everyone remembered and praised mainly for their duo's success. Adrasteia never argued, always silent, and giving others small words of humility.

      This was all covering up her fragile mental state, sensitivity to Madness, which she used Samsen's dominant personality and behaviors to keep her mind away from straying. This began to change when she ate the corrupted soul of a local serial killer around one year ago when she was a little over 20 after two years as Elites. That soul bore a mark of potent madness, one which only grew as months went by and she consumed more corrupted souls that cause that seed of madness to fully sprout into her personality. By the sixth month her personality had gone from quiet to irritable but grumbling, to quietly sarcastic, to vocal and easily irritable, to outwardly taunting her partner and others around her. This came to affect their performance on missions, and the demotion event was the nail in the coffin.

    Personality:

    Lillith is best described as an overly active yet lazy individual. The two parts of her seem to clash at every corner she turns as she normally wants to just sleep but also wants to see whats around the next corner. Normally, and quite negatively her curious nature gets the better of her and she wanders into a bad situation or somewhere she shouldn't be. Outside of that she happens to be a very affectionate, direct and physical individual. She will rarely shy from social situations and tends to be one of the loudest voices in the room, though not out of speaking over another she just gets excited.

    When cooking she tends to guard her food like its life and death but when others have food she sniffs out and wants she wont hide the fact that she is very interested in that food. She isn't against flirting, being semi-annoying or an ever present figure in your eye sight while you eat. She is also not quiet, tending to barrel through things yet she has shown that she can be as quiet as the dead, especially during the days her mother comes to visit. During this time Lilly tends to have a personality flip flop, quickly scurrying away from her mother and coming out only when she is sure her mom is asleep or has left the room.

    Aside from her bubbly side Lilly suffers immensely from Madness, she is susceptible to the wavelengths of others as well as triggering memories and emotional situations. She tends to pull back from people whenever she feels an episode coming as she knows when its let out she is going to do something she terribly regrets. While in this mind set she does not outwardly think what she is doing is wrong, in fact she views her actions as just and turning something she views as imperfect into what she believes is a perfect representation. During this episode she will transfigure nearly anything she sees as imperfect... even those that disagree with her, viewing them angrily as imperfect and not understanding what she is doing is only the correct way to do it... and as such will turn her attention to them.. seeking to make them perfect.

    Due to the way madness effects her she has found it difficult to form lasting relationships with people due to how some treat her, and how some end up causing the episodes more frequently or less frequently. Despite this she has done her best to put up a facade of normality at the heed of her mother as well as her own need to act normal and be accepted. Though difficult she has found a few relationships that have lasted more than a few weeks, one being with Gav who she finds to be a positive influence on her, almost buffering the madness she suffers from.

    Demerit:
    Gross negligence and causing harm to another.

    Lilly's time among the Guild has been filled with many achievements but also many instances of conflict. While none of them have ever come to the point of causing issue one instance has caused a large incident not only for herself but for Tau and her sibling. The incident occurred during a tournament where Lilly had been assigned to watch over the medical tent, healing and caring for those that were injured or simply not feeling well. Following a significant fight and subsequent climax the two individuals were brought into the tent. After stabilizing the defeated student she turned her attention to the victor, a Fae. During the process of mending their wounds Lilly experienced a massive lapse in mental sanity as she channeled magic through her body. The sudden lapse caused a huge lapse in mental stability, causing Lilly to misjudge her capabilities.

    Lilly poured magic into the Fae and inadvertently caused a massive cellular response, causing a grotesque mutation and rendering the Fae's wings almost non functioning. Almost immediately following the surge Lilly came back into her right mind but the damage had already been done. With her energy drained and only seconds to reverse the effect she was incapable of reversing the cellular shift. The resulting mass remained and solidified onto the very structure of the fae's wings, rendering them regular flight. The gross negligence and lapse of judgement was deemed inexcusable and a demerit was leveled against her for the agony she caused another student.

    Lilly has an innate connection to the shadows and darker places of the world. As such, she is able to pull light and corrupt it into shadow, basking herself in darkness even on a fully lit day.

    Lilly is able to collapse the light around her into coursing darkness. This churning mass binds to her body causing protrusions, tendrils, and forms that can stretch, move and act as one. While in this form Lilly does not have a distinctive shape, moving and changing constantly.

    Transmutation:
    Able to shift her own body to apply the properties and features of other creatures onto herself, also allowing her to change her skin, body and aspects of herself to fit a form, environment or situation. Applications include; shifting skin to a metal or other elemental form, the shifting of body parts or addition of limbs and extremities (Can be animal, random of situational. Ex- A Stinger, wings, thicker skin, talons, gills, slimy or adhesive skin/gecko pads.)

    Through this she is capable of adding mass to her own body but in doing so it increases the strain on her mind and body, causing more magic to be extended. In doing so she will need to draw energy from the surrounding plant life, animal life and sources of energy in general. If she exhausts all sources of energy her body will rapidly reject the added mass and eject it out at a rapid pace. This in general is an awful experience to be be around and for her to deal with. Due to the ejection the mass is thrown out of her body at a rather high velocity or even slopping to the ground and rolling off of her like water on an oil slicked surface.

    She is capable of shaping this added mass the same way she is able to transmute her own body. But depending on the material it will take longer to absorb but all forms of matter are applicable. Organic biomass is the most easily asborbed type and will be added to her body in little to no time taking at most a minute for medium sized objects. Trees and larger objects will take more time as she must convert the biomass to a more easily broken down form. Inorganic objects will require energy to convert and is a terribly inefficent process that takes prolonged exposure of over five minutes or more.

    The shifting of terrain through interaction with the area in question. Lilly is capable of raising, lowering and transmuting the material beneath and within a twelve foot radius of her through touch. This also includes being barefoot. Lilly is capable of changing one element into another, through a loss or increase of energy. Depending on the element it will require a jolt of energy gathered from the ambient energy around her. If a loss of energy is caused Lilly can either absorb of transmute the energy into another form to dissipate it without causing a sudden release of energy

    Mend-
    Lilly is capable of mending flesh and bone back together, able to regrow that which is lost to people as well as give them energy if they happen to be tired. Yet, this does not come from thin air as she requires not only the energy to heal them but also the material around her to convert into energy and substance. This can also be done to herself to repair grevious wounds and mend together flesh or bone which has been ruined.
    Doppelganger
    Lilly is able to match the appearance, voice and looks of another individual, causing her body to shift into another. During this form she can act as the person with little showing that it happens to not be the person in question. While she is able to capture looks and voice she is not able to copy their mannerisms, memories or quirks.
    Necromancy-
    Something Lilly is capable of yet has next to no experience in. It is something her mother is capable of and has taught her some of at a very young age. Her mother has since then kept it under the table as if waiting for Lilly to be ready to be taught the last that Erma knows.

    One might describe Mido's soul as "99% human" as, for the most part, it is. One could also describe it as silent, still, rhythmic--so much so, one could set a watch to it, if they could even feel the pulsations through it. More so, his soul emanates a pale yellow as opposed to the normal blue of a human soul, but exhibits the same brightness and saturation in its glow. Unlike most, his soul was created; or, more accurately, is a recreation of another soul, that of the original Midori☆Hoshi. A nigh-perfect replica in every way made by the mad magician, Eros. Even then, however, it glowed a faint blue. Its unique yellow glow exists as his soul was reinvigorated by Lord Death himself, allowing it to sustain itself indefinitely without relying on a master source. The inherent change to his soul and sheer amount of spiritual energy required to do so permanently shifted the color of his soul to yellow and bestowed him indepedence.

    Golem Body For all intents and purposes, Mido is still technically a Golem, albeit a highly advanced and independent one. Ever since gaining his independence, Mido has found himself capable of utilizing his Golem body to his advantage. He can change his physical form (although he cannot disguise his soul) and even reattach lost limbs. Mido can also take on a "golem form" in which his body and clothing turn entirely into a pearlesque clay wherein his durability is vastly increased; he gains a resistance to disease, fire, magic, and poison; and, he no longer needs to eat, sleep or breath. The cost of his golem form is the complete inaccessibility to his Weapon Transformation, Soul Resonance, and associated abilities thereof. Notably, Mido has a disdain for his Golem form and even his Golem abilities, such as shapeshifting and limb-reattachment, leading him to often avoid using them or even bringing them up as options.

    Weapon Form Mido is capable of transforming into a pair of unique twin swords that can be merged into a bow. Because of this, Mido can only be used by a Utility Meister or Meister capable of matching multiple weapons. Because of the unique nature of his weapon form, he falls into a category between Shifting Weapon and Multi-Form as he technically never transforms a second time yet clearly has two different functioning forms of weaponry. Experience has proven his most powerful forms of Resonance are centered on his bow form. Mido is uniquely capable of taking on his bow form even if his Meister has one sword disarmed given he is within 3 meters of the corresponding half. His bladed edges are in fact retained in his bow form.

    Update Reflecting recent events and training within the Hoshi, Midori has attained a new form as a bident. This form is not mastered and is still unstable. Alone, Midori can only maintain the form for approximately three minutes during the last of which he is caused excruciating pain. With the assistance of a Meister using their wavelength to stabilize the form, this time limit can be extended up to ten times depending on the skill of the Meister. At this time, Midori can only transform into this form from his Human form. If he is in either his blade or bow form, he cannot take his bident form directly, but he can shift out of his bident form to another weapon. Midori also has no current autonomous traits gained from his bident form. Lastly, as a partner wavelength is needed just to maintain stability, Midori is currently unable to perform Soul Resonance as a bident.

    Variety Arrows is one of the trademark abilities of Mido. While not true Resonance, Mido can work with his Meister to create various arrow techniques included guided arrows, tracer arrows, multi-arrow barrages, blinding arrows, so on and so forth. Also unlike the elemental arrow ability, these arrows require more training than simply merging his Wavelength and that of his Meister. These trick arrows were, at a time, one of the most useful parts of his arsenal with his previous Meister despite his more powerful resonance techniques.

    AP Mido can release his typically pent of aura pressure to create an area of cold around him, slowly dropping the area around him in a two meter diameter to approximately forty degrees Fahrenheit. This is called the "chill of Death" and can be focused by Mido on any one target he maintains line of sight with to give them the same feeling of despair he felt when his soul began fading into Oblivion--effectively a touch of death. This feeling can extend to monsters and even aberrations--anything that would have an inherent fear of death. Continuous exposure or reuse on a target, however, weak the response.

    Perception Mido has a significantly trained level of Perception due to his intense training with the Old Ways. A unique trait to his Perception is that it can be focused into the area in front of him at the cost of the total radius and vice versa, reflecting his ability to shift between swords and a bow.

    Old Ways is a Martial Way taught exclusively to the Hoshi Family and later to their Star Clan branch in which specializes in killing human beings. Mido has became proficient in it, utilizing it as an autonomous weapon. Mido can cause his presence to become nearly undetectable, including suppressing his soul to the extent only advanced practitioners of Soul Perception can see it. While typical training in the Old Ways would include full-body empowerment, Mido is limited as a Weapon. He has focused heavily on augmenting his speed through intense and vigorous training, and doing so passively to avoid the use of Spiritual Energy for Empowerment. This is not to say Mido cannot use Empowerment; one of the keystones to the assassination style is to briefly Empower the Body for a single, deft blow, which is reflected in Mido's fighting style. Mido focuses primarily on ending a fight as soon as possible through either termination of a target or incapacitation--with no alternative. The Old Ways are ruthless, unforgiving, and single minded in their application with no deviation, and Mido is a foremost user thereof. If Mido is incapable of ending a fight quickly, he is not without tactics to survive a prolonged fight. Mido has an extremely high level of stamina specifically for combat and can often outlast opponents that overuse their Spiritual Energy as his use thereof is only in brief instances. Wearing down his target his a tactic Mido is not beyond using, if the situation permits. However, if a more proactive approach is required, Mido has a series of advanced techniques in the Old Ways:

    Assassination Art: Moonlight Sonata - The user prepares a strike using a certain stance or maintains a certain stance for a period of time, often defensively or in such a way that their next attack is telegraphed. The user then utilizes a sudden burst of Spiritual Energy to augment their speed, doing so to quickly change their initial attack pattern and lunge at a target in an attack counter intuitive to their previous stance. The initial movements of this technique are performed at such a speed that there is little time to formulate a counter-attack.

    Assassination Art: Waxing Crescent - The user amplifies their weapon (or body, in the case of a weapon) in such a fashion that a nearly-invisible edge (typically a blade) extends outward, only perceptible with Soul Perception. This protrusion can cut or otherwise damage a target as if it were part of the original weapon.

    Assassination Art: Murderous Crescendo - The user begins creating afterimages of their body upon moving that are visible, but not tangible. If perceived with Soul Perception, each image temporarily appears to be authentic. The user also Empowers their speed at this time, resulting in them moving slightly faster than their after images persists. This ability culminates in the user intentionally slowing their movements, but "projecting" images of themselves where they would be if they were to continue to move at their current momentum. After three images are made in front of them, the user releases a greater burst of their Spiritual Energy, increasing their speed to its fullest to unleash a strike from their current position behind the after images onto the target.​

    Autonomous Weapon Mido can shift his arms or legs into individual sword blades (only two at a time) or shift one hand to gain two wooden textured protrusions on either the left or right side and a hole in the center capable of firing short bolts, like his arrows. Mido typically prefers to fight with only one arm transformed as a sword to retain his ability to use his hand if need be, for grappling or bolts. This leads his other blade to most often be transformed into one of his legs for a slashing kick. This particular combination makes for a deadly and surprising combination with the Old Ways. Bolts fired from him as an autonomous weapon can take on various traits, such as being blinding, creating a smoke screen, causing small explosions, and setting fire.

    Soul Resonance is the primary skill that has earned Mido his placement as a Two-Star Weapon. Mido is fully capable of Soul Resonance with a Utility Meister up to advanced Resonance techniques. As twin swords, he and his Meister can perform the Dance of Elusive Blades which greatly increases their speed and creates after-images of their bodies--including their Wavelengths. This technique does not bolster their offensive capability much further than a tier one Soul Resonance, but it brings ample utility. As a bow, Mido can infuse his regular arrows with one of three elements: fire, lightning or ice. The element chosen is determined entirely by his Meister and by their Soul Signature, meaning that the Meister nor Mido can choose which element and that they cannot change the element willingly. Mido has an advanced bow technique based on the element of his Meister. The color of his arrows are also determined by his Meister as it is their Wavelength he amplifies. His current most powerful Soul Resonance technique is known as the Starstrike. As the wavelength of his Meister is continuously amplified by him, time slows down to a near-stop and a perfect line for aim is created between he and his target. The blast fired is a spiral of his own silver wavelength and the wavelength of his Meister shot through a yellow star akin to the stars in the eyes of the Hoshi and Star clan. Starstrike is most powerful due to its penetrative quality as the spiral created between the two wavelengths and the hyper-resonance that occurs allow it to carve through almost anything.

    Chain Resonance is one of the abilities that also earned his place as a Two-Star Alpha. While not particularly skilled at it, Mido is capable of Chain Resonance with a talented Meister and others.


    Without a partner, his skill with Resonance is moot and thus despite being high in tier, does not affect his placement.

    SOCIAL STATUS


    DEMERIT SOURCE

    1. After being revived by Death, Mido changed in personality and began clinging to the idea of independence. He forsook years of training with Soul Resonance and his most advanced, powerful skills to become an Autonomous Weapon. This Demerit is tied to behavior, but is more literal in the sense that his overall output in terms of raw power is significantly lesser, even after two additional years training with the Hoshi Clan to utilize a unique Autonomous Weapon style. This idea of independence also manifests as a need to "prove himself", sometimes making him overly competitive, even with teammates.

    2. Mido does not typically do well in teams for a variety of reasons: acting primarily as a close-range assassin, his competitive nature, his desire to be independent. Mido doesn't "add as much to the team", especially in comparison to how much he once did. This can at times even make him a liability.

    3. As Mido was once a double-agent for Eros, many question whether or not he can be trusted. Some believe it is possible Eros could potentially re-establish his connection to Mido, whether for the purposes of control or the purposes of remote viewing activity at the DWMA.​

    SOCIAL STANDING

    - Mido was once considered a star student in the DWMA and one of the "prospects of a Generation" from the Hoshi Clan due to his natural talent and abilities. Even as a Weapon, he was often capable of dueling Meisters into submission in his early years. Later, he became one of the only Two Star Meisters under the age of eighteen due to his unique affinity for Soul Resonance and even Chain Resonance.

    - Most of the DWMA has heard of Mido as the "guy that came back to life" and unfortunately "the guy that turned out to be a spy" and as such, there is a lot of misinformation and resentment centered around him. Some see him as no less then a Demon Tool, some view him as someone deserving of sympathy. Unfortunately, the only universal perspective on Mido is that he "isn't the real Mido" and this has caused him much strife. He was accepted back into the Hoshi Clan and continued on with their training, but outside his clan, he often isn't accepted where he once was socially.

    - When paired with his original partner, Ao, the pair successfully won multiple duels and came in second in a DWMA non-elite One Star Tournament bracket before becoming Elites. The duo were no less than rising stars with a long list of achievements. Even after Mido lost Ao (and technically returned as a Golem), he continued on with impressive stunts, such as guiding a group of non-elite students to briefly utilize Chain Resonance.

    - His most notable victory since being revived by Death was a surprise victory in a four minute sparring session against Solaria☆Star by utilizing the newly mastered technique, Assassination Art: Murderous Crescendo. Videos of the fight went viral as a Hoshi vs. Star duel is as rare as they are intense and while a Hoshi winning isn't uncommon, a newly Autonomous Weapon winning is. Through the four minute sparring session, Solaria proved she was capable of dodging the initial one-strike elimination techniques implemented by Midori, however, was unable to land decisive blows on him. The longest portion of the fight was fruitless exchanges of blows with little wasted energy as each side waited for an opening. The outcome of the duel was determined when Midori unleashed the more advanced technique taught to him by the Hoshi, bringing the fight to an abrupt end via knock out.​






    Biography
    Midori was born into the Hoshi family, but not a particularly central part of it. In fact, his family was an outward branch family that did not even possess the Star-eye of the Hoshi family. However, his mother was an upstanding member of the family and a lawyer that assisted with the financial situation of their dojo. His father was a dormant weapon and between his mother and father, Midori was born with an expressed weapon gene.

    Due to tradition and by the acceptance of his mother whom wanted to be closer to the Hoshi family in general, Midori was taken in for training as were virtually all the other weapons. Despite being a branch family member, Midori proved exceptional with his transformation and using the Old Ways taught to him at his age. More importantly, his dual-form status made him a rarity among weapons in general.

    More than likely, if Midori had any other weapon form or was a hair less talented, he would have been taught how to control his form, then pushed back into education. Instead, the Hoshi elders allowed him to stay in training. This did not come without a cost. Other clan members labeled him a half-breed and often referred to him as 'Dark Eyes' or 'Dark Eyed' in reference to his lack of a Star Eye. Instead of allowing this to push him off course, Midori continued on through the ridicule to enter the DWMA and outshine four other Hoshi members in his entry-level classes. Midori, plain and simple, was considered one of the top ten rookies of his class.

    Midori paired with another talented Meister, Ao Mitsuki, in the East Asia Branch of the DWMA. Part of their dynamic was how Midori could never impress Ao. The other part was how Ao continuously stole the attention of others from Midori. She was, after all, the third of her class, four spots above Midori himself. Together, the two became the top Marksmen duo of their year within the entire DWMA. While they were not stars in any other right, they were given plenty of recognition. Ranged weaponry was a niche inside the DWMA, but within that niche, Ao and Midori were considered rising stars.

    The two became a two Star pair and began fighting more and more powerful monsters. In fact, the two specialized as Monster Hunters. Midori became known as Mido the Dark Eye and Ao took on the stage name of Whistle--mostly because a faint whistle was all people heard before she took out her target. What happened to the two is slightly unclear. During a routine mission of an Evil Human turned Monster (that had escaped some lower class students), Mido and Ao were ambushed. The reports and Mido claims that some form of magic was involved in addition to something controlling the Monster. The specifics are unknown primarily because Mido and a handful of civilians are the only survivors.

    Ao was killed and Mido was bleeding out. His abdomen has been left with a permanent scar from the side of his navel to near his spleen and half his abdomen and chest have been left with a permanent fish-scale like scar due to slit skin-grafts used to treat a severe burn. Mido was left hospitalized for some time. The turn out was actually quite significant. Plenty of his former peers, even those that once mocked him, visited him from time to time while he recovered. And, recovered he did. After a solid year of healing and reconditioning his body, Mido returned to the DWMA, but under the request he was moved from the East Asia Branch. Something was wrong about serving the same place he grew up with Ao.

    So, Mido was moved to the America Branch. Primarily because English and Chinese were his only secondary languages, but also at the request he help guide some of the other ranged weapons that may find themselves at the central DWMA headquarters in Death City. Granted... Mido didn't come directly to Death City. He spent a few months forgetting his woes in Southern California. Adapting to the culture, trying out a handful of things he shouldn't, cleaning up his somewhat sloppy accent--now hardly noticeable. Upon his return to Death City, Mido took a role specifically tutoring Weapon students ranging all the way from Beta to Elites in the One Star Category, specifically focusing on those that had difficulties resonating with their partner. Mido was considered highly talented in Resonance, especially Chain Resonance, and worked to pass this skill on.

    Mido went through a handful of partners, but none stuck. Instead, he cycled through groups of students to mentor and made a name for himself partying among the younger students. While reprimanded plenty, his actions typically didn't lend anyone harm, and often it was believed "there are worse things someone can do when they lose their partner" leading him to simply be overlooked. This went on for the better part of a year with Mido bouncing back and forth between being in trouble while also leading a group of non-Elite One Stars to survive a mission with a higher level Monster than intended by utilizing Chain Resonance. His time at Death City had ups and downs, mostly resulting in him being viewed as wasted potential.

    Life as he knew it came to an abrupt end when the truth about his survival came out. The being that had been living as Midori☆Hoshi wasn't the original Midori☆Hoshi and instead was masterfully sculpted Golem created by the infamous criminal, Eros. Eros engineered a new and terrifyingly dangerous Golem technique by pouring his wavelength into a chisel and sculpting raw marble to resemble Midori, not only recreating his appearance, but creating a synthetic soul capable of fooling even users of Super Soul Perception. In truth, Eros had killed both Midori☆Hoshi and Ao Mitsuki, and created the new Mido to take the former's place.

    The truth came out not simply as Mido being found out, but as Eros literally took over his body during a mission involving a member of the Maga Court of Witches. As one might expect with Eros, his goal was to assassinate the Witch and place the blame on the DWMA, but the plan feel short as the Witches were able to successfully sever Eros' connection to his Golem. Mido had assaulted his comrades and even the Witches, but it was quite clear it wasn't his fault. It was also clear that he was literally dying. A Golem cannot typically exist without a master and with his connection severed, his soul slowly faded into the oblivion.

    The Golem body of Mido was brought back to the DWMA, although Midori wouldn't have known. His conscious was fading between this world and perhaps nothing at all; it's not clear what happens to a synthetic soul when it passes. Nonetheless, Lord Death took pity in the life and death of Midori, and used his Shinigami powers to pull the soul of Mido from its waning twilight and stabilize it in the real world. He imbued it with strength and a permanence that no mortal Enchanter could ever. The resulting combination of Eros' masterful skill and a Shinigami's might created a true, human soul, and gave Mido new life.

    New life, however, is confusing. Mido spent the next several weeks questioning... everything. Who he was. Could he really call himself Midori☆Hoshi? Was he even a ☆Hoshi? Was he even human? If he wasn't Midori☆Hoshi, then who was he? Was he someone new? Was he still Midori? Was he both? There wasn't a decision to be made. It was something Mido purely had to hash out on his own. In the end, Midori returned first to California to live the life he did when he was first created by Eros, but then soon returned to Japan where he returned to the Hoshi Clan. There, he found the elders had instructed the entire Clan to return him with open arms. It is unclear why the upper echelons of the Hoshi Clan, but no small effort was made to reintegrate Mido. The Hoshi performed the same ritual rights they did for those that married into their family, offered to allow Midori to select a new name they would honor with the Hoshi surname, and offered to continue his training--although he would still remain a branch family member.

    Midori didn't initially take their offers, instead opting to relive the life he remembered from being... Midori. Unlike his time in California, Midori felt more at peace and in a natural state within the classic confines of the mountainous home of the Hoshi Clan in Japan. Upon hearing the news of Midori, his parents ultimately divorced. While he found a relatively cold reception from his father, his mother greeted him quite warmly, and showed him remnants from the childhood he remembered and she retained. The memories that flooded back to him weren't of someone else's, but felt like his own. His hands playing with toys, his shoulders held by hands as he was lifted into the air by his father. And, later, his arms bruised by the intense training of the Hoshi. This was enough. This was the identity he chose.

    Midori accepted the offers of the Hoshi Clan elders and expressed a great desire to return to training. He also desired to retain the name Midori, stating "Mido is the only person I know how to be." And, that was that. Mido spent the next two years training with the Hoshi Clan intensely. He forsook his past as a weapon and specialist with Resonance to instead focus closer on the Old Ways and being an Autonomous Weapon. In fact, it was nearly therapeutic for Mido to pour himself entirely into the Old Ways, becoming immersed in the style, its teachings, and the culture of his people.

    His return to the DWMA was brought on in part due to the progress made in the solitude of training at the Hoshi Estate hitting a plateau and in part as Lord Death opted to check on him personally, primarily curious about the integrity of his Soul. Mido returned to Death City for a thorough assessment and ultimately was urged to stay as both Lord Death and the Hoshi Elders thought it might push him past the plateau he met. Mido returned as an Autonomous Weapon to the DWMA and was placed on a handful of practice missions, but in his brief time there, caused several conflicts as he started several fights, opted to be Autonomous, and focused primarily on his assassination techniques over teamwork.

    Background:
    Serafim and his twin sister Ismene hail from the tribes who live on the slopes of Mount Kymeera. Once, when the twins were young, a Meister and Demon Weapon saved their village from a demonic incursion. Years later, another demon attack left Serafim's people all but eradicated. The arrival of the DWMA this time had come too late. After that, Serafim, who had displayed aptitude as a Meister enrolled in the Academy with Ismene as his Demon Weapon.

      At a glance no one would blame you for making the short sighted assumption that Gav is a punk, a ruffian, probably the exact definition of your stereotypical bad boy. The wrinkles, death symbols, and scythes that are a theme of his uniform and some clothes would be an indicator to anyone that he might be more of a Chad version of the classic goth given the way he walks and how he seems to favor dark clothing these days.
