Awful, Terrible, No-good Layabout
So we've done modern realistic roleplays, where you probably played as a waitress for a meido cafe.
What do you mean you didn't? Get outta here. Everyone must have played as a waitress in a meido cafe at least once. It's a once in a lifetime experience, mang.
In any case, we've also done fantasy rps. You know, elves, orcs, goblins and all that bizzazz. Magic, wonderment, etcetera etcetera.
We've also done modern fantasy, but see, that's where it goes wrong. We have modern rps with realistic settings, and fantasy settings with elves, orcs, and magic and the like, but mash em two, and suddenly elves and elementals and mages have to go to special schools like they're x-men or something. What happened there?
So that's why, I propose this idea, boys:
Imagine a world where your iPhones and your Androids were powered by magic. That's right, when you stick your adapters into those wall sockets, its magic flowing outta that. Mages are the ones running your electrical companies. Imagine a world where upstart goblin kids are running around your neighbourhood, spray painting rude words on your local public commodities, necromancers offer undertaker services through laminated fliers, orcs running a loansharking business just three blocks down from your nearest supermarket, and finally, but not the least, elf meido cafes. Humans, of course, are still there, but who cares about them, we're a real boring race.
Tl; dr, fantasy world, set in modern times. With your fancy pancy farcebook and titter and vyne. #goblinlivesmatter
You carpenters of words, you forgers of stories, what do you think?
