To say that Jade was excited would be an understatement. The young athlete had been looking forward to spending her summer in Fiji since the moment she'd received her invitation. She'd applied for the show all the way back in February after some peer pressuring from her friends, she honestly hadn't expected to get picked and she wasn't going to pass the opportunity up. Now that she was here she felt like she was dreaming, the villa was even larger than she'd pictured it. Even though she'd watched the show for the past two seasons, everything was much bigger in person.

The sun beat down on her already tan skin as she exited the car that had picked her up from the airport, she could already hear the ocean not too far away and smell the salty breeze surrounding the villa. She grabbed her luggage and ran into the building, carelessly dropping her bags by the door before hurrying to explore the rest of the house. Unpacking was a chore for later, right now there was an entire villa to discover. Unfortunately she was the first to arrive, but at least it meant she could tour the whole house first.

Jade took her time wandering about the villa, appreciating it for all of its luxury and comfort. There was a spacious living room, a well-equipped kitchen, the bedroom that they would all be sharing, two bathrooms, separate dressing rooms for the girls and guys, a decently sized gym, and a large swimming pool in the seemingly endless backyard. It was already amazing, she couldn't wait to meet her fellow Islanders and get the party going. Of course Jade was here to find love, but she was also hoping to make friends and get really close with the rest of the group. They were going to be living together for quite a while, it would be miserable if they didn't get along. There was always drama on Love Island, but Jade was great at navigating conflict and could make friends with pretty much anyone.

She returned to the bedroom to pick her bed, she was a fairly early riser so she would take the bed closest to the door so that she didn't disturb anyone else when she woke up in the morning. The brunette had just started unpacking when she heard the door open again, abandoning her suitcases to head back to the front of the house where her new roommates would be. As she turned the corner into the living room she spotted two new islanders, a guy and a girl. They were both insanely attractive and the brunette couldn't help but wonder if all of her new roommates were going to look like models. Before they could really take in their surroundings, Jade was already wrapping them up in a hug and excitedly chattering away.

"Hi! It's so nice to meet you, I'm Jade. Isn't this so exciting? I can't wait to spend the summer with you!" The brunette greeted them enthusiastically, not even bothering to think about the fact that not everyone enjoyed hugs from complete strangers. It was part of her charm, Jade was extremely outgoing and friendly, though sometimes people tended to think it was more annoying than endearing. Even if not everyone was as friendly as her they would become close whether they wanted to or not. They were all going to be sharing a bedroom after all, by the end of this Jade was sure they'd all be like family. She knew that fighting was inevitable, but she hoped to stay as far out of the drama as possible and focus on making the deep, meaningful connections that Love Island was all about.

if my name never fell off your lips, it'd be a shame
Caleb should have known all those weeks ago when Ryann had urged him to make a bet with her that only bad things would happen. Some small voice in the back of his head had probably been yelling at him to say no, to not give in, but it was the stupid puppy dog eyes. He always fell for it, and damn it, if the brat didn't know it. She'd batted her lashes and looked up at him and whispered in a soft voice about how she just wanted to do something fun with her brother, and like she knew would happen, his guilt at working overtime the past few weeks came running in, making him agree to the stupid bet.

Normally he wouldn't have felt guilty or fallen for the trap, but he really hadn't seen his family properly for the past few weeks. Clearly his sister had been spoiled with attention growing up, seeing as she needed to be so involved in his life. As he stepped out of the fancy car that had stopped in front of the villa they were going to be staying in for the foreseeable future, he snorted.

"This whole thing is ridiculous, Ry." he grumbled, lifting both of their suitcases out of the trunk as sister threw her carry on bag over her shoulder. He could practically hear her roll her eyes in response as she reached back into the car to grab his bag off the floor before closing the car door and turning to face him.

"It's really not," she huffed, tossing the bag at him. He caught it with ease and used his foot to kick her rolling suitcase over to her, ignoring the frown she sent his way.

"Yes it is, you know I hate shit like this. And carry your own shit, I'm not your butler."

"You need a break! You work way too much and you haven't had a date in at least three years, clearly, you need outside help." she paused to take a breath. "Plus, this should be fun! We'll get to meet all sorts of new people and hopefully find love! If nothing else, you can at least relax a bit!" she argued.

Caleb rolled his eyes as he ignored her and started down the walkway into the house. If you could call it that. No house was this big. He sighed. This was going to be a long...'vacation'. He did his best to tune out his sister's rambling about how they would have such a good time. By the time he made it to the actual front door, he was more than annoyed and tired with the whole idea of this show and it hadn't even properly started yet.

He'd just walked through the door when something was wrapping itself around his waist. He blinked, confused and it took him a moment to pause his thoughts and actually look down to see someone hugging him tightly before letting him go and moving to hug Ryann who had entered right behind him, chattering the whole time. He'd admit the girl was cute, but why was some random stranger hugging him? Ryann seemed to be thrilled, hugging the girl back and returning her sentiments about spending the summer together. He closed his eyes, stepping out of the doorway.

"The fuck did I get dragged into..."

Cassidy should've known better than to apply to Love Island as a joke. Knowing her luck, she always got the opposite of what she wanted, which in this case, was getting accepted as opposed to getting overlooked, like so many other more-deserving applicants had been. Part of her still couldn't believe that this was really happening. It felt like a bad dream, and she would wake up any second to find herself back in her cluttered apartment, and all would be right with the world. But alas, it was not meant to be.

As the car pulled to a stop in front of the villa, Cass thought about bolting as soon as she got out, but where would she go? It was an island. What, was she going to swim back to Canada? The chances of her making it were slim, but she had a feeling that she had a better chance of besting the sharks than she did the type of people that typically entered these competitions. She'd never actually watched Love Island before, but she'd seen the Bachelor once for the sake of cheap laughs, and if the girls here were anything like that, she'd be driven up the wall in no time.

Cass stepped out into the bright sunlight, squinting behind the dark lenses of her sunglasses. She peeked under the brim of her bucket hat up at the sun. Already, she was miserable. She was from Canada—she was used to snow and the cold, not this summertime heat. Cassidy blew out a puff of air and grabbed her suitcase. She lugged it up the front steps, its wheels clattering and bouncing along dangerously close to her ankles. When she at last stepped inside the large building, there was already a small group gathered in the doorway.

Leave it to Cassidy Reynolds to screw up in the first five minutes of her being on the island. As she went to sidestep the little huddle of people, she tripped over air—she wished her suitcase had at least been the cause, but she had a special talent for being clumsy for no reason at all—and it was quite the dramatic affair. "Jesus!" She managed to regain her balance before she altogether fell in front of everyone. She glanced over, knowing that they had seen—how couldn't they? "Shit," she said, "let me go back and try that again." With that, she walked outside, rolling her suitcase behind her.

Cassidy's reentry into the villa was much smoother than her first try had been. She took off her sunglasses with a grand flourish and a lopsided smile. "Hi, I'm Cass." She glanced around at everyone and couldn't help noticing that they were all extremely attractive. Once, again, she had to fight off the urge to run away. If she hadn't felt out of place before, she certainly did now. They all looked like they had walked straight out of a magazine, and here she was looking like a dad going on a family vacation in 1985. She laughed it off like she did all of her problems, despite the sinking feeling in her stomach. "Before anyone asks, yes, I am at the right place."

Noemi Montanari

location: front door

mood: anxious//excited

interactions: Jade ( a z u l a a z u l a ), Caleb & Ryann ( izayoiix izayoiix ), Cass ( lvcid lvcid )

Noemi didn't exactly expect her class entire class to pass their final exams. She had used the show in the past as a learning opportunity for the kids, to which the class loved. Really the deal was supposed to be a class trip, but it turned into her going on to the show. As bad as it sounds, she had gone through so many breakups that her 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-period classes thought it would be a good idea. So when they banned together, studied, and passed their finals she was shocked. It was a conspiracy for sure, but one she was happy to be apart of. At least the little shits had passed her class and succeeded in graduating. Now she was on a plane to LAX for a two-hour layover, then would be on her way to Fiji for the Summer. She was definitely going to have a lot of fun and cool memories to bring back to her students.

As she was boarding her plane, a familiar sight caught her eyes which happened to be Rio. She had flown out to LAX about two years ago to get her tattoo done by him. They had kept in touch as far as the care went for it and coming back and forth to get it finished, but once it had been completed they fell off. It turned out that he too was going to be attending the island and she was even more excited. Now, she had a friendly face in the house instead of one with nothing but strangers. He explained to her that while he was just here to screw around if he left with someone he wouldn't be too upset by it. Noemi couldn't help but shake her head in judgment, telling him to embrace the adventure. He just gave her a look before putting on his headphones and falling asleep.

When the plane landed, they both made way to the showers the airport provided. A 19-hour flight and they were going to have to freshen up before meeting all those people. Despite what Rio was talking about, he knew he wanted to make a good first impression too. They agreed to meet up at baggage claim when they were done, as they'd ride to the villa together. Neomi couldn't contain the excitement after she had finished, hopping into the car. "You know, your face isn't going to change no matter how many times you look at it." To which Noemi groaned at him and punched his arm. It didn't even warrant a verbal response, as they had finally reached their destination.

The Villa in person was amazing! The type of thing you would see in MTV's Cribs or something. When they got out, she couldn't help but squeal making Rio contort his face to show his discomfort at the sound. He let Noemi grab her bags and practically speed walk up to the front door. She had forgotten one of the rose-gold suitcases making Rio decide if he wanted to just leave it or take it for her. The latter won him over as he slowly but surely made his way behind her. When Noemi reached the door, she say a girl walk in then out then back in, making her tilt her head to the side. She wondered what that was about, finally reaching the group of people. "Wow, those so many of you here already! Hi!"

Quanesia had been excited all week. Her phone had been blowing up like crazy as all of her family members and friends have been excitedly chatting with her about the show she would appear in. And now the day was finally upon her. Nes was so excited, she had spent all of the last month leading up to this re watching ever season of the show. Winning would be awesome, but if she made some good friends, or found someone special, she'd feel like a winner anyway! It was approaching the last hour of flight time now and she was full of excited energy. She could barely keep herself from bouncing in her seat!

As she landed about an hour and a half later, she sent her mother a quick text to tell her she loved her very much. When her parents split, her father and mother had agreed she would have more opportunity in america, but she spent almost every say missing the shores of Montago Bay. No worry, though, she was about to enter paradise! She couldn't wait to whip out her best swimsuits and go for that early morning swim! Nes made her way to the driver who took her to the Villa, and was delighted to see her name spelled correctly on the sign! A short drive later and she had arrived.

Nes stepped out onto the plush green front garden of the villa, which was absolutely mammoth compared to her tiny one bedroom apartment! Her grin stretched from ear to ear as she grabbed her luggage and wheeled it towards the front door. She was in such amazement that she almost bumped into a beautiful young woman with bright crimson hair. Stopping herself, She entered the room again to see several gorgeous people had already arrived. She smiled at each of them "Wow, hello everyone! Its great to meet you all!" She said a little bit quicker than her usual voice out of excitement. "My name is Quanesia, but please call me Nes!"

Outfit: Simple grey teeshirt and obnoxious board shorts with the Australia flag on them, a pair of sunnys and some pluggers(thongs, flipflops, sandles)

Interactions:

After a three hour flight, dozing on and off most of the way, Macco wasn't exactly feeling very nervous. Honestly he was pretty excited about a free vacay to Fiji with a bunch of hot birds. He had decided to go all out and visited the most touristy gift shop in all of Cairns. He purchased a pair of Australia flag boardies and a very cheap pair of aviators for his first day. Now, Macco had binged the last season of the show about a week before he had to leave, and pretty much all of the boys there were classy, fashionable or had that 'tattooed bad boy' look, so he wasn't exactly sure how thrilled the producers would be to see him dressed like a beach bum bogan on a vacation to bali. To be fair, though, they'd get a lot of Australian views, so they'd probably get over it pretty damn quick. After locating the driver holding his name up, he loaded his rucksack and carry on into the boot and buckled up for the wild ride that probably awaited him when he arrived.

The place was immense! when they pulled up outside the front Macco couldn't help but exclaim out loud. "Strewth!" he said under his breath as the driver opened his door. He unloaded his stuff, and slowy began walking through the front garden, towards the door. He noticed a couple women entering the building as he did so, and picked up the pace a little. He entered the room, where a group of people were chatting. He kind of slipped in, without speaking, just taking in his surroundings. As he expected, a number of absolute stunners surrounded him. Fit people like that who generally tended to be scouted for this show. "G'day all. Names Macco! Howsitgoin'" He said pleasently, his strong Australian accent very apparent.
He was about to say something else when he noticed a girl walk in in a bucket hat and a Hawaiian Tee. And before anyone asks, yes I am at the right place, She said.

Macco couldn't help it, he burst into laughter and moved to stand near her "I recon, we gotta be the only people here with a little bit of fashion sense!" He said gesturing to himself with two thumbs.

When Rio was informed of his spot on Love Island he was both shocked and annoyed. Since applying for the show, he didn't think he was actually going to get selected for the show. He was drunk the night he sent that tape in; having run into an ex hours before. It wasn't that he missed her, that wasn't the case at all. What he missed was the relationship they had; the parts that weren't so toxic. Maybe that was the reason he wanted to be on the show, to find something to replace the void he was feeling. This was why I drank, he thought to himself as he sat in Terminal J, waiting for his flight. He didn't like to think about things of that nature and luckily, he wouldn't have to anymore.

Noemi was a client he had tattooed about two or so years ago. It was a huge tattoo, one of his best works of art that had to be done in pieces. Leading up to their appointment, they had talked and game great acquaintances. Even though he found her attractive and she had this great body, she was nowhere near his type of girl and he didn't sleep with his clients; past, present, or future. Though she was a dope person to be around and he wished they hadn't fallen off. Rio was never good at keeping up with people who he wasn't able to see anytime. All that was changing as he heard that familiar voice and saw the familiar sight of Noemi Montanari. He gave her a smile as they both explained why they were at the airport. It was going to be interesting having her along with him, an adventure for sure. Once they boarded the plane, she went on to tell him how excited she was to which Rio just rolled his eyes. "Keep an open mind," she had told him. Of course, he pretended like he wasn't interested in that when indeed he was.

When they landed, he was exhausted. Noemi had the idea to freshen up before they went to the Villa. It was a good idea and would perhaps keep him awake. He hadn't anticipated being on the plane for so long or feeling as icky as he had. If he were to be honest, he did indeed want to make a good impression on the people he was going to stay with for a few weeks. If he didn't find a girl who was going to put up with him, then he would at least be happy with the experience. How many people could really say that they traveled all the way to Fiji for basically a vacation? He wasn't going to go in like a sourpuss. Nah, he was going to be better this time. Once Noemi was finished, the two of them headed to the Villa, the female talking his ear off in excitement.

As they arrived, Rio could only feel his heart beat faster and faster. The anticipation of meeting all these new people was growing until they finally stopped. While his friend wanted to get going, Rio just needed a few moments to himself. He grabbed his bags from the trunk, getting his mind together and trying to calm his nerves. Seeing as Noemi had left her bag behind, his nerves were calmed, albeit he was annoyed. Feeling like he was her bagman had given him something else to focus on. Once he got up to the door, he saw many people were there and scratched the back of his neck. "Cherry," he shouted out to Noemi, who turned around and frowned at him. "Just for the record, I'm Noemi." She said to the group before taking her luggage from Rio. "And just for the record, I'm Rio." He said mocking her tone.

Heather was absolutely brimming with excitement. As soon as she'd found out that she had been accepted to be a contestant on Love Island, she had started packing her bags. Now that she was actually here, she couldn't have been happier. She didn't come to Fiji to find true love, though—she wanted to have a good time, but more importantly, she came to win.

Pursing her plump, red lips, Heather watched as the car pulled to a stop in front of the villa. She gazed up at it in amazement. It was even bigger in person than it was on TV, but that was to be anticipated, of course. She eagerly got out of the backseat, and for a moment, she waited, half expecting the driver to help with her bags. Realizing that this was not to be the case, Heather let out a small huff, her mouth forming a pout as she unloaded her many bags and began to ascend the front steps. Before opening the front door, she hesitated a moment. She wanted to savor it. When she at last opened the door, she was hardly prepared for what she would come to face-to-face with on the other side.

Heather was nearly blinded by what she saw standing just inside the doorway. Two of her fellow contestants stood there, one of them in atrociously bright board shorts, and the other in a Hawaiian shirt that was just as obnoxious. Heather blinked, slowly placing her sunglasses atop her head. "Wow," she said. "It's a little loud in here, don't you think?" She gave the boy and the girl a pointed look as she passed them by to go talk to some of the others that seemed more...her speed.

"Hi," the blonde said, smiling brightly as she approached a couple of brunettes. "I'm Heather." She embraced the girls cheerfully. "I'm sure we'll be great friends!"

Turning her head to the side, Heather noticed a young man standing close by. He had the same shade of brown hair as one of the girls. The blonde looked him up and down. She had to admit, he was quite attractive, once she looked past the irritated expression on his face. "Who might you be?" she asked, her blue eyes sparkling as she twisted a strand of hair around her index finger. Was she already being a bit too flirtatious with someone she didn't know? Yes, but then again, wasn't that the whole point of the competition?

Vano Leander Silvanus
Guru of the Self
Being accepted to Love Island was an absolute surprise. Vano did not think he would be the type of person that the crew would pick to be on such a scandalous show but then again, he never thought he would be the type of person to attempt getting into the show. Not that he knew much of the show aside from what was explained to him since he had never watched an episode. Nonetheless, he now had a new adventure to look forward to! The prospect of possibly finding someone to spend time and connect with was something he would appreciate but did not demand. Vano would be happy with making friends, spreading his beliefs, and helping people better themselves. The broadcast might even help encourage viewers! But first, he had to get to the island.

Preparing for his flight to Fiji was a long process. Not only because the flight was almost 22 hours long and he had to prepare but because he wanted to adjust his sleep schedule to be appropriate for the time zone so he could be ready to give the best possible first impression when he arrived. Packing his necessities in one large suitcase, one small suitcase that rested on top of the larger one, and his backpack, the time came for him to get on a flight almost a full day prior to meeting everyone.

The trip itself wasn't too eventful. He passed the time meditating, reading a book, listening to music, and sleeping. When he got off the plane he greeted the chauffeur and grabbed his bags off the baggage claim. Thankfully he had planned out his attire and decided to change at the airport before they left so he could freshen up a bit. Once he was settled and he hopped into the car with his luggage, he immediately started taking in the sights of the island. It was beautiful. A new beauty he could take in and experience that was vastly different from back home in Italy. If the ride to the promised magnificent villa was any indicator, he was in for an even more wondrous view.

The car pulled up to let Vano out and the sight was breathtaking. From just the front of the villa there was so much to take in and a wide smile appeared on the Italian's face. He turned back around to grab his luggage from the car and left the chauffeur with a quick, “Grazie, Sir.” Before turning back and wheeling his suitcase duo and swinging his backpack over his shoulder while walking to the front door. The sounds were faint but grew in volume as he approached. Vano was not a nervous person. Things would work out how they were meant to and he was confident enough that this entire trip would be one of the most phenomenal times of his life. It was just all about getting it started with that first step.

With that affirmation in his mind, Vano pushed the front door open to a congregation of of marvelously attractive, fit, social people. I guess I'm fashionably late. He didn't let it concern him though as his warm smile stayed upon his face. With a quick stop and letting his suitcase stand freely, he held onto the straps of his backpack like an excited child. “Ciao! My name is Vano.” He introduced himself with a wave with one hand before letting that hand hook into a pocket by the thumb to be more casual. Hopefully they would in turn introduce themselves but if they didn't he would have no issue with learning each person's name later. “It's a pleasure to meet you all. Who else is ready for a fantastic summer?” He looked around at the gathering and it seemed like small conversation groups had already began to form. He started walking around the outside of the group before inquiring, “Has anyone seen where our rooms are? I am ready to check out the whole villa and would love company, if anyone is willing. I believe sightseeing would be much better without lugging our belongings.” He chuckled to himself. He wasn't sure if he was being too forward with a group of strangers but what better chance did they have to get to know each other than to explore the new home they would all be sharing? If no one answered or wanted to accompany him then he would explore and learn the layout of their new home alone. Though, he hoped it wouldn't come to that since exploring with others is much more fun and this felt like a great opportunity.

For the first time it what seemed like forever, Kai was taking a vacation. Not just any vacation either, a summer long all expenses paid trip to an island in Fiji full of hot girls. It had taken a lot of convincing to get him to take the summer off of work, but he knew he was getting older and if he didn't start seriously dating now he probably never would. While he loved his job, it was incredibly demanding and Kai just didn't have the time to meet anyone. Even if he did, there were very few women who could keep up with his busy schedule.

Truthfully, Kai wasn't sure exactly what he was looking for. Work kept him so busy that he really didn't think he had time for a serious relationship, but his empty apartment was quite lonely and it would be considerably nice to have someone waiting for him at home. Even if he didn't find 'the one' this summer at least he was getting a break from work, he hadn't had this kind of freedom since college.

Though he'd caught up on the last two seasons of Love Island to prepare himself for the summer, he still wasn't quite sure what to expect and he was honestly a bit nervous. What if he hated everyone in the house? He wasn't exactly an extrovert and if he was being honest he was quite easily annoyed. Some people just rubbed him the wrong way, but he was going to try his best to make a good first impression and make an effort to get along with everyone. They were stuck together all summer after all, it wasn't like he could avoid them all.

The sunshine was a nice familiarity of his hometown in California, he was looking forward to catching some sun by the pool once they'd all settled in. He grabbed his bags out of the car with ease, he'd tried to pack light but he'd ended up overpacking anyways. Usually he was very particular about packing for a business trip, but this was a summer long vacation and he'd struggled not bringing his entire closet along with him. While he wouldn't exactly call himself a fashion expert, he liked to make a good impression and put a good deal of effort into his looks. The entire premise of this show was to impress the women enough to couple up with him after all.

The villa was already quite full by the time he entered, it was a bit overwhelming but he quickly put on his charm and turned to one of the many beautiful women standing by the entrance. "Hey there, I'm Kai. It's a pleasure to meet you." He smiled, throwing a wink her way before turning to the rest of the group as one of the other's addressed the group.

"I agree, I'd love to get a look around this place." Everyone he laid eyes on looked like a model, he'd anticipated them being attractive but it was much more intimidating in person. Usually, Kai was cool and collected, but this was a much different situation than he was used to. Despite his hesitation, Kai was looking forward to the competition, he enjoyed a good challenge and he'd applied for Love Island because it was just that. Even if he didn't win he was surely going to learn something and have a summer of fun in he process.

Taimo Lumi
The Australian Firefighter
Taimo Lumi played with the purple and pink braided friendship bracelet around his wrist. It seemed it had became a rather recent nervous tick as he watched the world pass by through the windows of the luxurious car. He was so out of his element. How had a simple firefighter like him gotten into this show? It was a miracle to him and even now he still expected to be pulled to the side and be told that they were sorry and they had made a mistake and they had ment to pick someone else. He took a deep breath as the vehicle came to a stop in front of an enourmous mansion. He kissed the silver little J that hung from the bracelet. "Seems like I have arrived, Jassy," he spoke softly. A soft smile coming to his lips as he thought back of the sweet 8 year old girl that was his daughter, who had gifted him with this beautiful piece of jewelry. Self made of course.

"Daddy, won't you be lonely without me?"
"But of course I will be. I will miss you greatly"
"I will miss you too, dad, but how will you be giving me my goodnight and morning kisses?"
"I will just do this. Goodnight, Jas, or Goodmorning Jassy. It will be the last thing I do before sleeping and the first thing when waking up. Deal?"
"Because I am the most important person in your life, right, daddy?"
"That is right, sweetheart. You are the most important person in my life."

Fondly, the male thought back of their conversation at the airport. He really hoped she would be fine with that witch of a mother. Though he had to admit Mackenzie was good for the child. No. He really did not want to think about his ex-wife at the start of this show already. That was behind him. It was time to move on. Which was the whole reason he was part of this anyway. He got out of the car and put the sunglasses on his face. Sun. Hot summer heat. Ocean. It was just like being at home. Except for that villa. He grabbed his bag from the trunk. A simple old sport bag, which was all he needed really. He wasn't a very materialistic man. Plus summer wear and sport wear never took up much space and he was a extremely great folder. So he could fit a lot in just one sports bag. And he assumed that if they would stay here for a few weeks, they had the oppertunity to wash their clothes and such.

There seemed to be a bit of a hold up at the entrance. Though it was starting to clear up a bit more by the time he had made his way up there. "Howdy, everyone, am I late for the meeting?" He chuckled and flashed a dazzling smile. His Australian accent very audible. How could it not be? After all, he had lived Down Under for most of his life. He had grown up there from four years old and never really left. He pulled those sunglasses from his face and hung them from the neckline of his top."I'd be up for some explorering, but I would first like a cuppa. Anyone else with me?" he asked at no one in general as he passed through the bit of crowd gathering. It seemed he was perhaps a bit underdressed, but he couldn't let that bother him. He would just wear whatever was comfortable to him and the invitation had said nothing about formal or semi-formal wear. Plus this was him. Why should he dress up on a show that was meant to get to know people and find a possible partner? He never understood the way to present yourself better, or different, from how you really were to make that good first impression. He also never understood why people could be so nervous about that...

"Taimo is the name by the way!" Again, the words were not spoken to anyone in particular. But he had heard names being said here and there. Names he already forgotten or not been able to stick to a face right away. He would probably keep on forgetting them a few times, he wasn't the best with things like that. Though he would try his hardest to get them right as quick as possible. Again one on one would be the best way to get them to stick. His blue eyes moving around to orientate himself a bit in the house to figure out where the kitchen was. He would do some more personal socializing later on. For now, he'd really love that cup of tea.

While the first man she greeted wasn't exactly enthusiastic about it, the girl standing next to him was much more friendly. The two excitedly chatted for a minute before another girl arrived, tripping over seemingly nothing as she made her entrance into the villa. Before Jade could offer to help her, the brunette had turned around and exited the villa, leaving the others to wait silently for her return. After a moment she reentered through the front door, earning a giggle from Jade as she finally introduced herself.

The three girls quickly dissolved back into talking, asking the usual getting to know each other questions. It was a relief that these two girls at least seemed nice, if everyone was like these two maybe they could get through the summer drama free. More people continued to enter the villa, each one seemingly more beautiful than the last, and Jade tried to greet them all while still continuing their conversation. Everyone was getting along well when an intimidatingly pretty blonde girl entered the villa, pushing right past Cass and heading towards where Ryann and Jade stood towards the back of the group closest to the living room. The blonde, Heather, pulled the two into an embrace which Jade quickly returned.

"It's so nice to meet you-" Jade started to welcome her, but the blonde had already turned to the closest male and started talking. The brunette turned back to Ryann with a shrug, they were here to pair up after all, and even though her comment towards Cass and the Australian boy was a little off-putting Jade decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. Right after Heather entered the last of the Islanders seemed to arrive, the entrance becoming quite crowded with all of the new faces. One of the guys asked if anyone knew where the bedrooms were and Jade took the chance to speak up, having just explored their sleeping arrangements herself.

"I was just checking out the bedroom, we should all go set down our stuff and check out the rest of the house." The brunette beamed, waving Vano over and walking off towards the shared sleeping space. It was a decently sized space, but perhaps not for fourteen people. Especially since there was less beds than people, which meant they would all have to share. The athlete settled herself on one of the beds to get out of everyone's way as they filed in with their things. While they all managed to fit, Jade could already see it wasn't exactly going to be easy cohabiting in one room for the next several weeks.

After some shuffling of things and stuff being tossed all around the room the group headed back towards the kitchen where there was more breathing room, Jade taking the opportunity to get to know her new housemates as they headed out. "So, what do you all do for a living?" She asked, tilting her head slightly as she looked around the room and tried to familiarize herself with faces. There were quite a few people she couldn't wait to get to know better, but she was genuinely interested in getting to know everyone. It wouldn't be fun sharing a house with complete strangers, it would be much more enjoyable if they could spend the summer having fun on vacation the same way they would if they were with their friends from back home.

Contestants continued to flood into the villa, and the butterflies in the pit of Cassidy's stomach continued to have, what felt like to her, a wrestling match. She was good with people when she was talking to them behind a phone screen, but when it came to face-to-face interactions, she was a wreck. She'd only be able to hide her nervousness with awkward humor for so long. It seemed to be working for now, though. Jade and Ryann laughed at Cass's stupid jokes and antics, and as long as she could keep others laughing, she felt like she was doing alright.

Among the people who entered the villa was a man in board shorts fit to rival the Hawaiian shirt that Cassidy had on. What stuck out to her the most, though, was his thick Australian accent. Cass gaped at him as he spoke, only vaguely aware that he was talking to her. "Woah," she said, the word slipping out before she had a chance to reel it back in. "I mean, uh, you know it." She made a clicking noise with her mouth as her hands formed two finger-guns. Smooth.

A moment later, a blonde joined their midst, immediately taking the opportunity to complain about the way Cassidy and Macco were dressed. Cass bit her tongue. She wanted to fire back an insult so badly, but it was too early in the competition to be picking fights and causing problems. That didn't seem to be stopping this girl, though. She elbowed past Cassidy and forced her out of the group. Cass simply rolled her eyes. She would get her back later.

Cassidy was more than glad whenever the group finally dispersed to put their things in the bedroom. What she wasn't glad about was the number of beds waiting for them. Had Cass actually watched Love Island before applying, she would've known that the couples shared beds while they were there, but alas, she hadn't. "Shit," mumbled Cass as she looked around. This was going a lot worse than she'd expected. She knew she couldn't stand scowling in the doorway forever, so she decided that her best option was to just close her eyes and throw her stuff down somewhere. Luckily for her, they landed on the bed in the corner and not on a fellow contestant.

In the kitchen, there was room to spread out. Cassidy took this as an invitation to stand off from everyone a bit and collect her thoughts. She was in Fiji. She was trapped on an island with these people who were all much prettier and more outgoing than she was. Perfect. She was jerked out of her thoughts by the sound of Jade addressing the group. "So, what do you all do for a living?" Damn it. Cass knew it was going to come up eventually, but she'd hoped it would be later on, after she'd successfully established herself as the funniest person on the island. The last thing she wanted to do right now was say, "i'M a YoUtUbEr." To her, that sounded like a sure-fire way to seal her fate as the lamest contestant there. Sure, she was good enough to get paid, but it wasn't exactly something she went around screaming from the rooftops. Cassidy looked around, hoping someone else would pipe up first. Of course, no one did. With a sigh, Cass said, "I'm a YouTuber," her hand partially covering her mouth so as to muffle her words.

Noemi Montanari

location: front door

mood: anxious//excited

outfit: xxx

interactions: Everyone

It was as if all the attractive people coming in were one of the seven wonders of the world. Everyone was stopped at the door, giving out hugs and greetings and making comments. Some unable to stop staring at tall these good looking people. By some people, Noemi. A part of her was intimidated by the women and the heavy aura's they were giving off. Not in a bad way, more so in a confident way which is something she sometimes lacked. She was trying to keep up with all the names but failed miserably as there was so much going on. She would definitely have to just ask what everyone's names were later when the groups were smaller and they weren't standing around. There was one person she did seem to hear, the tall dark beauty who called herself "Nes". She was stunning and it was intimidating standing next to her. "You're absolutely gorgeous, can I just say that? Jesus.." She stated, before clearing her throat and shaking her head. "I'm sorry, that was so awkward... You're just taking me more off guard than the guys are at the moment." She joked.

Once the last of their group were arrived and inside, things started to pick up a bit. It was suggested they all drop off their bags and check out the villa, to which Noemi was very interested in doing. She had seen the place on tv but in person, it was way better. It was so clean and pristine, which made her think of how long that was actually going to last. There were a lot of them in the house and sure enough tons of dishes were going to be used. It would only make sense for everyone to just clean up after themselves, but 9/10 people weren't going to do that. That was something to worry about for sure, but perhaps at a different time. She couldn't help but be in awe at the place as they reached the bedroom all at the same time. There was a lot of 'sorry, excuse me' and laughs being had as everyone settled onto their beds and put their things away. Neomi had managed to get her Patron margarita fixings transported safely and without them being confiscated. She wasn't sure if the villa would have any of the things and played it safe.

After all of her belongings were put away and set up, she took a quick private tour by herself. She wanted to find all of the best places to be first, so when it came time to flirting they'd have some privacy. She couldn't help but fiddle with the mic attached to her chest as she tried to find the rest of the group. "This place is massive..." She said to herself, heading back into the bedroom to grab her fixings. They had then moved to the kitchen, which was perfect as she set out to mix the margaritas in a pitcher for anyone who wanted some. Jade then went to get things started, asking what everyone did for a living. While stirring, she listened to... Cassidy mumble something she barely picked up, but was sure she said Youtuber. She had always wanted to get into it with her teaching, but never knew where to start. Cass would definitely be someone to talk to if she were serious about it, she thought to herself. Taking the reigns, she responded next. "That's actually pretty dope. But uh, I'm a high school teacher and the school counselor. "Also, my name is Noemi, not Cherry." She shot a look at Rio before he put his hands up defensively. "You the one with red hair, Cereza."

Taimo Lumi
The Australian Firefighter
Everything that was going on was a bit of a mess and choatic, with everyone just arriving and not really sure what to do and such. Yet Taimo liked it as one of the ladies seemed to reply to his question. He laughed softly as she gave him those fingerguns. He gave a wink and fingerguns back, before making a head gesture towards the kitchen. "Just come along than," he said as he assumed her 'woah' had ment she wanted some tea as well. He had been able to put some water in the cooker when someone decided it would be a good idea to drop off all the stuff in the bedroom, before going on a little tour and who was he to disagree? Appartently his tea would have to wait after all. So he just quickly drank a glass of water to clench his thrist, before joining the group and making his way to the bedroom.

One thing the male noticed about the bedroom that there were way less beds than contestants. He had no idea about what Love Island was exactly, he had never really followed the series or seen any thing of it. Yet it made sense? He didn't have a big problem with sharing bed, or sleeping anywhere. Beds, the floor, couch... hammocks were by far his favorite. Bags and stuff were thrown around. He simply put his stuff down the first open spot he saw. He claimed one of the shelves in the closet and quickly put his clothes away in little foldable boxes that said 'Taimo'. If anyone else took something from him by accident, so be it. He wasn't that possessive over his stuff. Yet it seemed easiest to just put his own stuff in his own boxes so there was less chance of accidental mix ups. When all that was done, he headed quickly back to the kitchen to grab that tea he was longing for, before carrying that around while explorering the mansion.

Eventually the whole group had made their way back to the living room and Taimo was off to the kitchen to make another cup of tea for who ever wanted. When one bright red haired female joined him, though she was making what seemed to be margritas. A whole damn pitcher of them. "Yeah, that is definitely gonna win from my tea," he said with a chuckle. He looked across the counter to see the girl from before as she was the first to open up her mouth to answer the general question that was asked. Her hand was covering her mouth though as she spoke, so he hadn't been completely able to make it out. A youtuber? "That is so cool," he agreed at the same time as Noemi apparently. Before she revealed to be a teacher and counselor. He sipped from his tea as he leaned back against the counter casually while watching all the others. "I am a professional firefighter and EMT," he answered the question, "after this, I will continue to get my paramedic-papers." He was silent for a short bit, before giving off a soft smirk. "And before anyone asks, yes, I am also mister April for the Fire Rescue Victoria, North West Calendar." Perhaps a bit smug to say that right away. But it was usually the most comon question he got after revealing he was a firefighter, so he just wanted to get that out of the way straight ahead.

Vano Leander Silvanus
Guru of the Self
The entrance of the villa was lively and full of conversation. Thankfully his question did not fall on deaf ears and it seemed that everyone was ready to check out the bedroom. A girl with striking eyes and beautifully flowing hair spoke up to the group and even waved him over specifically. He smiled to her as he followed her to the bedroom and the rest of the group fell in tow. As she escorted the group to the bedroom with ease, they were met with the sight of a room with too few beds for the amount of bodies they had. Vano watched everyone set their things down on beds or in closets and dressers. Not having knowledge about how the show works, he was unaware that this was intentional. Even so, he had his own simple solution to this 'problem'. Why would they be forced to share beds with strangers? Not that he minded but he would never want to make someone else feel uncomfortable. Walking over to a dresser with free drawer space, he placed some of his things into the drawers and left his bags next to the dresser. “I'll gladly sleep in a hammock outside or even the couch. Hopefully that helps ease some nerves.” He stated out loud genuinely in hopes that it would be of some reassurance.

Moving to the kitchen quickly with the crew, people were already busy pulling out drinks and starting up conversation. It was a relief to see that people seemed ready to mingle and open enough to get to know each other. Vano got comfortable against one of the walls with one thumb hooked in a pocket as he attentively listened to get to know the people around him. This group of people looked to stunning that their lives must be just as thrilling. The first person to speak up, although silently, was the short haired girl in the hawaiian shirt. Her entire aura screamed fun and outgoing even though she seemed nervous. The others seemed to hear what she said and it turns out that she was a Youtuber. That was impressive to Vano for sure and he chimed in with a few nods. “Editing and entertaining is no joke. I hope you enjoy expressing yourself that way, friend.” As the others continued to speak, Vano listened intently. One of the Australians admitted defeat when the woman who introduced herself as Noemi brought out the margaritas and Vano chuckled. “There's a time and place for both margaritas and tea though, no worries.” Then Noemi, who was ready to start drinking, explained that she is a teacher. “Also a great profession! You really help shape the future being a teacher.” Vano simply added his comments in with the others instead of claiming all of the attention.

As the others continued to speak, Vano listened intently. The tea drinking Australian humble bragged about his physique by admitting that he was the face of a saucy calendar. Vano made a mental note to ask him to see that photo since it had to be amazing if he was bragging about it. On top of that, he was a life saving firefighter and EMT. It spoke volumes about his spirit and Vano got excited that this group of individuals was so diverse and had the best vibes. The group got silent and Vano decided he would fill the void. “ I hope you find my career as interesting as all of yours. I am a traveling yoga and meditation leader.“ Delivering his passion with a wide grin, he tried to be generic instead of referring to himself with his title of the Guru of the Self in hopes no one would make the connection. He wasn't famous but he did have some following. Word of mouth was how he did his business, after all.

💕 FAWN FALCÓN 💕
Fawn knew she would probably get her heart broken on this trip. She reckoned the other contestants were likely there to have a good time, maybe hook up, and try to win the prize money. That should have been true enough for herself too, but she just couldn't ignore the nagging pang in her heart that longed for the comfort and intimacy of a long-term relationship. Her last breakup was so spectacularly bad that it nearly destroyed her (i.e. she was cheated on), and she'd been haunting the fuckboys of Tinder like a lonely ghost ever since. Not to mention she wasn't getting any younger. She had lied on her application about her true age. 27 represented a turning point in her mind, an old age she was so averse to facing that she decided to stop aging altogether (on paper, anyway) at 26.

Brimming with anxiety, she tried to shut her brain off for a moment and focus on the beautiful scenery out her window as the car swiftly delivered her to the Love Island villa. It really was magnificent. She'd never been to such a fabulous locale. Her parents were too busy ignoring her and each other to go on a family vacation growing up, and she just couldn't be assed to plan such a trip on her own as an adult. "Whooaa," she exhaled in her sleepy, drawn-out way of speaking. She turned to look up front to the man driving the luxurious vehicle. "Wow, look at this place! I feel like I'm in the Big Pimpin' video." The guy ignored her and kept on driving.

Once she'd let herself in the villa, she could hear lots of lively chatter from an adjacent room. Stashing her massive haul of bags and luggage in a nearby closet for now, she followed the voices to the kitchen to peek in from the doorway. She was somehow not prepared for what she saw. She'd expected the others to be attractive, but these were some of the most gorgeous people she'd ever seen. All the other women were thin, lithe, fit to perfection...just stunning really. She felt like a short, fat, dumpy little potato stuffed in a sausage casing by comparison, and cursed herself for not wearing heels. She'd been trying to take optimal care of her feet for her "clientele" and had instead opted for a pair of black Chanel flats. But this was an emergency. These were some supremely bad bitches and they were NOT playing around.

She inched further into the room to guage the current climate. Everyone was throwing friendly banter around, chatting about careers. A very cute girl with a fun outfit and the most perfect, pouty lips had mentioned her enviable career as a YouTuber. An adorable guy was speaking about his yoga practice, a very hunky Australian fireman chiming in as well.

Everyone seemed like good friends already, and she felt like she was intruding. She was so nervous, she had to stop herself from turning and running the other way. You can do this. Remember what Jay-Z said: Big Pimpin'. Be a pimp. Her face suddenly broke into a smile, nearly cracking up at her own dumb pep talk, and how little sense it made. Now she had to commit to introducing herself, lest she just be standing there smiling like a weirdo. "Hiieee...uh, how's it going?" she addressed the group tentatively, her cheeks flushed slightly pink.

She suddenly spotted her savior, an absolute goddess with vibrant red hair passing out margaritas. "Oh, thank god." She sidled over to the counter, offering this precious angel a shy smile and a thanks before swiping one of the extra glasses on the counter, then proceeded to pound half of it down at once. "Sorry, I'm Fawn by the way," she added with a friendly smile to the group, dabbing her mouth daintily with a napkin.

If Rio were, to be honest, he was experiencing a slight sensory overload. Not only were there so many people in the doorway and a lot of noise, but there was already a mixture of scents. Ranging from the smell of females to the smell of males was enough for his nose at the moment. So much so that he muffled his sneeze as everyone was talking. He observed his new temporary roommates, trying to see if anyone caught his eye; they all did. It wasn't good, he thought, as it was much easier to get caught talking to so many females. They were all gossipy and going to form tight-knit relationships and rat him out for sure, so he would have to think of another game plan. His thoughts were interrupted as everyone was making their way, finally, inside to take a small tour. He followed behind with his luggage and pick a bed further away from the bathroom. The noise of people getting up to use the bathroom was not something he wanted to deal with every night.

Once his things were all put-away, he took this time to observe the competition he was going to be faced with. If he were, to be honest, some of these guys he definitely was going to have a hard time against. He wasn't afraid to admit the guys were just as good looking as she girls were and some of them were a bit intimidating. Rio himself wasn't big or muscular like some of the guys were, but he was enough for his own frame. He had to remind himself, different strokes for different folks, and shake his head. Once he was himself again, he followed the big crowd to the kitchen for either tea or alcohol?

Hearing everyone get so excited for alcohol meant there would be no tea today. He couldn't help but chuckle as Taimo drank his tea while everyone waited for Noemi to be done with the margaritas. "I'll take a cup of some tea." He says so he's not alone, grabbing a cup for himself. Everyone was going around and introducing themselves and Rio was trying to keep up. Jade started the circle but didn't say what she did for a living; or not that he heard. Cassidy was a YouTuber, which he thought made sense given her appearance. Both Taimo and Noemi said cool at the same time, to which he pointed at the two of them and said. "Jinx." He went on to give his profession as an EMT on his way to getting paramedic papers and that he in a calendar, no doubt made for those who loved firefighters. Vano was next, a yoga instructor to which he thought the girls would be very interested in next to Taimo's firefighter background. Personally, he wasn't into yoga but maybe he would try it just because. Before he got ready to speak, someone arrived late. She looked adorable, in the sense of like a puppy to Rio. When she drank one of the cups of alcohol Noemi had finished halfway then introduced herself, he took back his puppy comment. She meant business. "Nice of you to join us Fawn, we're going around with intros. I'm Rio and I'm a tattoo artist." He looked at Noemi, who was smirking because she already knew what he was about to do. "Yeah, yeah one of your masterpieces is on me." She said, taking a sip from her own salt-rimmed glass. "One of the BIGGEST pieces I've ever done and I'm quite proud of it." He turned his attention back to Fawn. "Since you were late, what do you do?"

TL;DR Bea has arrived and she's drinkin!
tl;dr
Bea Sawyer
"i don't believe love at first sight. i believe it's a grave mistake."
Bea’s sunglasses didn’t fit quite well on her face. They were too big for her small framed face and probably made her look silly. That didn’t bother her much though-- she was in one of the most amazing destination places that people would often put on their bucket lists and she managed to get there for free. Love was not on Bea’s mind. No, she sworn away love after her last breakup that had left her nearly shattered and from then on, she decided it was no good. So was it ironic that she was on a show that was all about finding love?

Yes. Yes it was.

Of course, the producers had no idea she wasn’t in it for the love. She was there for the fun and the good weather. Bea had no issues with sleeping around with no strings attached, and she was more than ready to break some hearts and fake some tears. Whatever would keep her there longer in the sunny weather.

Despite feeling as cool as a cucumber, the blonde could feel her nerves tingling in her toes as the limo made its way to the infamous villa. Tilting her sunglasses down to showcase her dark hazel eyes, she gaped as they got closer. She knew things weren’t always the same on TV but this seemed even better than she thought it would be. Palm trees swayed with the warm breeze and the large villa house where she’d be staying for the next month or so radiated grandeur.

Soon she found herself stepping out of the limo and adjusting her blue jean shorts as she took in the view. It was so much better than her small cramped apartment that had shady neighbors and the occasional vandal on the news. Here, she could be the queen; Queen Bea. Grinning as she marched in, she spotted the group of women easily, all fawning over each other. Bea was a little late, but hell, the party hadn’t started til she walked in.

“What’s up bitches!” She called out, strutting her way over. She smiled brightly, hiding her eyes behind her large sunglasses and carefully looking at her fellow contestants. While she wasn’t necessarily there for love, it didn’t mean she wouldn’t fake it to win the prize. It could help her a whole damn lot.

“I’m Beatrice, but you can call me Bea!” She introduced herself before beelining it to the drinks. It had been a while since she drank for fun, usually having drunk to try and forget some awful memories that would haunt her in dreams. But this place was not meant for focusing on her past, no this was her future and she was going to revel in it. Taking a sip of the margarita, she let out a sigh and grinned again.

“Man, this is the shit isn’t it?”

💕 FAWN FALCÓN 💕
Since arriving, Fawn had taken a few seconds to covertly check out some of the guys that were milling around the general vicinity. The hunky blonde Aussie was magnificent up close, built like some kind of Greek god. He wasn't the type of guy she'd usually go for, simply for the fact that she assumed a man like this was out of her league. But he gave off such a warm and playful vibe that she couldn't help but want to get to know him more, if even just as a friend.

She'd also caught a quick glimpse of a hot Asian guy in her periphery. He was very dashing, and even in his casual clothes, looked fashionable and refined. There was something intimidating about him though, a serious quality that made Fawn guess he wouldn't be at all impressed with such a frivolous girl as herself.

Then there was the tall, handsome guy she saw chatting with a very pretty girl, maybe even bickering, in such a familiar way that Fawn guessed they must already know each other somehow. He looked adorably grumpy to be there, which made him seem endearing and down-to-Earth. Being a bit irritiable, she couldn't get an accurate read on his personality, but looks-wise he was the quintessential dark-haired Cute Guy she always had the tendency to pine away for.

Suddenly snapping out of her Cute Guy daydream, she noticed a new, gorgeous blonde girl had breezed into the villa at some point, and was downing a margarita nearby. Fawn regarded her with a friendly smile, delighted by her fun aura and effortlessly cool style, already formulating a plan to somehow try to befriend her.

However, it wasn't long before her attention was stolen by Hot Tattooed Latino Guy. She'd clocked him when she came in, and was startled to now find him actually approaching her. Of all the guys there, this one was quite possibly the sexiest. There was just something about his confidence, his swagger, not to mention a devilishly handsome face, that was incredibly appealing. She took a moment to compose herself, swallowing her drink with a hard gulp as he introduced himself. Part Latina herself, she tossed out the most natural flirtatious greeting. "Hey, papi," she giggled, her deep brown eyes sparkling with the excitement of having this man's attention for the moment.

So him and Margarita Girl knew each other. Fawn smiled between the two, her gaze settling on the cherry-haired stunner, whom she thought she heard someone refer to as Noemi. She couldn't resist taking a moment to admire the woman's beautiful face as she spoke, how her cute dimples enhanced her lovely smile.

Turning her attention back to Rio, she had to pause for a beat, unsure of how to answer his question or conjure up a job title that didn't make her sound like a total skank. An entertainer? Technically, she entertained pervs on the internet with pictures of her feet, sometimes her ass and tiddies. It wasn't really something she wanted to shout from the rooftops though, especially in a room full of people with respectable careers. She was only doing it until she figured out her next move anyway--which she, admittedly, had been trying to figure out for the past seven years now.

"I'm kind of...between jobs right now. I'm a musician, but I'm not exactly tearing up the charts or anything," she replied, rolling her eyes with a soft laugh at the understatement of the year. Happy to change the subject, she turned the focus back on him. "You're a tattoo artist though? That's cool. Maybe you can do me sometime," she punctuated the remark with a coy smile and casual hair flip in an attempt to appear unbothered, but her blushing pink cheeks betrayed her true feelings; she was clearly sweating him.
