these violent delights have violent ends.
Natasha
L.A. was...a lot. It was noisy and busy and dirty, but in a completely different way than New York was. NYC was full of life and culture, you never knew what you might find around every corner, where as Los Angeles was full of fake people who were constantly chasing after money and fame. While she desperately missed New York, there was nothing waiting for her there and this was her home now. She'd run from her past and now it was time to start over. After arriving in Cali she'd rented a very dirty, probably unhealthy apartment while she waitressed at a local bar to make it on her own while she was building up connections and trying to find a talent agent. Luck would have it that Greg had stumbled across her at the local open mic night and swooped in to save her from eating ramen noodles seven days a week.
The only downside of the contract was the whole living with other people situation. Despite her crappy living conditions, Natasha much rather preferred to live alone. After being kicked out by her former band she was hesitant of new people, who was to say they wouldn't throw her out into the cold like her so-called friends had? She couldn't dent that it had been lonely not knowing a single person in the city, she'd had plenty of one night stands in the few months she'd been frequenting the clubs when she had the time, but it was nothing like having a family like she'd had in New York. Even though they'd betrayed her, she missed her band.
There was no time to second guess her decision, today was move in day and to say she was nervous was an understatement. Natasha wasn't a mean person, but she didn't particularly like people, especially L.A. girls. They were snobbish and stuck up and extremely annoying. She wasn't exactly looking forward to sharing a house with anyone like that, let alone having a roommate, but this was her best way of making it big and there was no way she was giving up on her dream because of a minor inconvenience.
Her jaw dropped as her Uber pulled up to the house, it was much bigger than she'd been expecting. In a house this big maybe she could avoid her potentially annoying house mates for the most part. The street they lived on was nice, much nicer than anywhere Natasha had ever lived. She didn't feel like she belonged here, but if she was going to make it big she'd have to get used to things like this eventually. Luckily she didn't have many belongings to drag up the driveway, though her guitar and musical equipment was a bit of a struggle. Finally, she managed to bring all of her belongings to the front porch and unlocked the front door with the key Greg had given her, surprised that she was the first one to make it. She was glad to have the few extra minutes of alone time before everyone else arrived, plus it meant she could pick her bedroom first.
Hunter
Today was by far one of the most exciting days of Hunter's life. Today he was moving into a new house with a ton of new people, being the people person that he was he was incredibly excited to be sharing a space with other artists, not to mention the fact that some of them were girls, and it was safe to assume they were hot girls at that. He'd been in L.A. for two years now, trying his best to make it by producing videos and working as many side jobs as he could, even entertaining modeling for a bit but it just wasn't for him, he was never one to sit still. Creating was his passion and he was determined to prove his parents wrong and make it by living his dream. He'd only talked to his mother since moving, mostly only on holidays and birthdays, while his father refused to speak to him still.
He filmed as he pulled up to the large house, it would make for a great vlog to introduce his channel to his new house, he'd definitely have to make sure to blur out the address while editing. After three years of making videos he wasn't exactly well known, but he did have a following of loyal fans that continued to grow, hopefully it would double while he was working with Greg to promote his content. It would be great content to have this many roommates as well, he'd be able to pull off some great pranks in this large of a house with that many people.
As soon as he'd parked he was practically running up to the front door, packing could wait til after he'd met his house mates and seen the inside of their beautiful house. He was a little disappointed to find he was only the second person to arrive, but he was sure everyone else would be arriving soon. Besides, his new roommate was hot. There was no way she wasn't a model, and he was going to have to remember to thank Greg for placing him in the same house as her because damn.
"Hey, I'm Hunter." He greeted, moving forward to shake her hand, surprised by how firm her shake was. "Natasha. You're a Youtuber?" She asked, looking down at the camera in his hands skeptically. Some people weren't very fond of his profession, understandably so, a lot of people didn't like being filmed whereas he thrived off of it.
"Yeah! What about you?" He asked, though he'd already taken an educated guess at her profession. "I'm a singer, used to be in a band called Valor, didn't work out so well." She shrugged, turning to look away as she spoke about the band. It was a little surprising someone so tiny had been in a rock band, but her mostly black outfit did fit the type. In fact, she looked a little familiar now that she'd said it.
"Oh yeah, you opened up for (insert famous band here)!" She seemed a little surprised that he recognized her band, but Hunter had quite a wide variety of music he enjoyed and his best friend had dragged him to their concert a year ago. Granted, they'd come late and had only seen the last song Valor had performed, and they'd definitely been drunk, but from what he remembered they'd been a decent band.
"So...we've got the place to ourselves, huh?" He suggested, offering her a wink. Apparently that hadn't been the right thing to say as a a shoe came flying at him from where she stood by her bags. He barely dodged it as it hit the wall behind him, and he instantly regretted hitting on her within the first few minutes of meeting her. Maybe he'd have better luck with the other girls.
"Don't even try." She glared, earning a nervous laugh from him as he profusely apologized. "I was kidding!" He explained, though he definitely hadn't been and she seemed to know that. Without a word of acknowledgement she turned away from him to continue carrying her things upstairs and he was relieved she didn't feel the need to throw anything else at him.
