The young girl was definitely visibly frightened by the spectacle before her, visibly shaking. Although she could hear the faintest voice edge her on. The kindest and sweetest tone say 'Go'. Without any movement or delay, the young girl proceeded to jget up, and didn't have time to consult with her peers, besides saying a single set of words. "I... I'll stay behind you guys to hold off as many as I can. I won't abandon you again...". And with that, one would see her actual change somewhat. A sort of yellowish glow appeared around her, with some parts of the aura showing off bits of lightning. Without any visible thoughts of delay ,she sprung into action. Her determination to assist, to help, has unlocked something deep within her.

Her keyblade was wrapped in a similar aura as she mowed down plenty of heartless in her wake. She grappled blades with an Inviisble before narrowly avoiding a blade attack from it, timing her reactions just right, before smacking it away, the force knocking into several other heartless. Many heartless came to avenge the fallen comrades, but she still proceeded to mow them down. One by one, in groups or separately, while she was like this, it truly didn't matter whatsoever. Her eyes was beaming with confidence and determination most of all.

Ruuj Eryut
Guardian of the Faithful

Ruuj-2.jpegUgh. This dream again? Darkness and more darkness. Piercing yellow eyes gazing at her. She's had this dream before. It always seemed to end in a mess, always making a mistake somewhere along the line. Though, something seemed different this time. Something... was more tangible, making her feel like this was more than just a dream.

A voice? Follow the light? Oh yes, this was in one of the reiterations that's been recurring for the last year.

She felt a chill in the air, causing a shiver to run up her spine, and goosebumps raise on her bare skin. She hated the cold. It was so loud. Was it storming back in reality?

Ruuj pinched her forearm, hard.

"Ow..." She rubbed where she pinched herself, finding that she was stuck in this this time. No pain was going to wake her up.

Behind me? The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end at the disembodied voice's warning. "No... No no no." She swung around, dark gaze sweeping, taking in the sight of the shadow gremlins. They looked familiar, but she couldn't place her finger on it. Besides her past dreams, anyway. They were revolting, but sad. That was it... She felt sad looking at these writhing void creatures.

A sudden shadowy sprite, reminding her of a corrupted Sylph, had lunged at her, was a victim to her stabbing. What? She hadn't moved her arm on her own.

Back up. She had something in her hand. She somewhat recognize its appearance, and it felt like it had the power of her cane or wands that she usually uses. This object had a place to set her hand, like a hilt, and an elongated neck, with some sharp-looking protrusions at end. Despite the darkness, it seemed to glow lightly, pulsating gold and green.

The voice mentioned not fearing the Shadows, because she holds the key? A key? Is that what this strange sword-like object in her hand was?

Darkness, shadows, strange happenings... She'd heard past stories of warriors called Warriors of Light, chosen beings of Hydaelyn, chosen to fight off the darkness. Was she chosen to be a Warrior of Light? Though, the word "Guardian" was used instead. Maybe it was interchangeable.

Well, if Hydaelyn chose her to be a Warrior of Light... Maybe she should follow through. They always had insane power. But she had to follow the light. She couldn't fall to the darkness. Was the darkness Zodiark?

The Sylph Shadow was gone, but in it's place were more. More and more. This was dangerous. Staying to fight was always dangerous in past reiterations.

Their screams were the last straw. She needed to leave. She couldn't handle this alone. She needed a party. She hopped backwards. Her legs were quite strong, so she was able to get some distance. Landing nimbly a distance away, she turned tail, and ran as fast as she could, towards the light at the other end of the corridor. Despite her heels, her footfalls were as quiet as she could make it without soil, grass or trees to mask the sound- it was habit to always be quiet, picked up on from living in the Golmore Jungle. Most, if not all, Viera were quiet on their toes.

Any that got too close would be a victim to the blade in her hand. She could only cast Aero while moving, as with her other spells, she was supposed to stay still. Aero was normally capable of damaging over time, though this space seemed to be doing something funny to it, though there was no time to dwell on the issue. It's not very powerful like the other spells she could eventually learn, but she was trying to conserve the reserves of magic points within her. There was no point trying to use it all up, in case she needed to heal herself later.

Looking to the others Amy felt a wave of relief was over her as she managed to relax for the first time since everything had gone upside down. Though this moment of respite lasted but seconds as everything continued forward and chaos returned. Looking back at the noise of someone hitting the floor Amy was beginning to make a move to assist her but before she could even flinch the girl burst into light leaving Amy dumbfounded “Shes gone… is it really that simple? That could happen to any of us.” Amy said her voice wavering towards the end. Taking a deep breath she steeled herself for whatever was to come next but what happened completely took her off guard.

Watching the glass shift around them everything began to take a new form, 2d turning into a three dimensional space all out of the blue. Raising her keyblade she rubbed her eyes before seeing shapes beginning to push through all around them. “Well.. I wanted to introduce myself but it seems we have to run. But before we do that, I’m Amalia and its nice to meet you all incase I didn’t say so before.” Amy chided out as she once more raised her keyblade. Glancing to the others she listened as they each spoke, considering their options before finally agreeing with Alice “Seems so, though I don’t think that girl disappearing was part of what was to happen. We seem to be down one individual despite the glyph activating.”

Swallowing she nearly bit her tongue as she swung a heavy handed attack at an incoming heartless. Knocking it up into the air it poofed out of existence before another streamed forward to take its place. Looking back at Yue screaming she realized with in horror that he was running away with some of the others in tow. With her flanks failing she was soon overwhelmed, her mind screaming out for her to do something but fear suddenly gripped her and she froze. Feeling a surge from within she gripped her keyblade tightly before raising it up and into the air. A pulse of energy shimmered along her before rising to the tip of her keyblade.

From the top of her black keyblade erupted a pulse of light that spread outward, clearing her rear from the heartless that poured in to take advantage of the kink in what was once a decently good tactical blob formation. The wave of light spread a few feet around her before dissipating into glittering stars. Turning on her heel she grabbed the blade end of her keyblade with her other hand and held it in front of her. Using this she pushed into a heartless causing it to fall backwards and only land a light attack on her. Feeling the scratch catching her leg she nearly stumbled but grit her teeth and managed to break out of the circle she was in.

“By the stars I was nearly done..” she mumbled to herself as she got closer to the others “I don’t see much of a choice right now as to go or not… the sea of darkness only deepens with every second we remain here.” Amy warned, offering her take on the deteriorating situation. Fighting on the move wasn’t something she was the best at but she seemed to manage well enough before stopping as she saw a wave heading towards them. Raising her keyblade once more a burst of light erupted causing the heartless to roar out and cover their beady little eyes. While it didn’t destroy any of them it left them stunned for a few seconds, hopefully enough for them to whittle the numbers or continue far enough away that the wave couldn’t crash into them all at once.

  • The corridor was longer than usual for the girl. The shadows twisted in a way that showed they were growing. The light at the end had never been quite so bright. It called to the keyblade wielder. The shadows parted suddenly. Instead of reaching out to fight the girl they now beckoned her further. A voice, distinctly different from the guiding voice of before, growled low as if it were ringing in her ears.

“If you think you can live, walk. Come, I await.”

As suddenly as the sound came it was gone as were all the imps around her. The corridor now empty of enemies was still. Darkness leading into the light and only one path possible to take.

What a mess everywhere they look there would be another shadow no matter how many the group would cut down another two would appear in its place, who would make such an unfair trial it felt as though it was meant to kill them. While in the middle of the fight someone would appear behind them some rabbet girl thing well whatever she is she must be the final member to there group because as soon as she entered the door that up until now had been closed off to them is now open and with a rather conferring light coming from it. As soon this happened the shadows would stop attacking and go into forming big piles of darkness and then those piles would form a shape creating some sort of oversize creature. "You dum creatures just don't know when to stop do you" she would point her blade at the creature again casting blizzard as the ray of frost hoping this slow down its hopefully already poor movement, "Thinks making your self one shadow you overgrown heart now I only need to kill one of you!" she would then shot another ray hoping this would slow it down some more her magic was feeling weak again it would only be a matter of time before she would once again collapse from exhaustion again but the hatred for these creatures overwrote any kind of logic in her brain she wanted to see this thing dead. Another ray would be cast she would only stop long enough to move away from any attack it would send at her "DIE!"

USHA LOUVEL

The shadows suddenly retreated, but it felt too easy that her chest left a foreboding feeling. Nothing felt right. Nothing was since before she came into this hell. Usha headed for the door, hoping that they would make it, that it would open a place of serenity for them after all of this. She was tired of this place.

A light, blinding in the darkness revealed another. But it didn't matter any more than the forming mass of shadow. What the pesky little shadows were before suddenly massive like a giant. A headache was forming in her head, no matter how many those miniature shadows were compared to this one was just as bad, if not worse.

Usha evaded the Shadow's attack, she took notice of Alice's constant use of magic and is afraid that if she kept that up, they would be retreating with an unconscious girl. She let her blade swung on the hand that created a blast aimed at them, stopping beside the mage soon after and said, "You might want to take it easy, Alice. Can't have you passing out." You would be a burden if we ever run from this. She wanted to add but decided against it knowing how temperamental the other teenager can be.

Cato Procella
0D6E596A-CE69-403A-862B-FC9977D75996.jpeg

]The small amount of respite that this fever pitch allowed to Cato snapped prematurel, leaving the exhausted boy at the end’s of his wit‘s end. He had barely recovered from the last assault of the inky monsters, which most been at least five minutes ago but his sense of time was mucked up so he couldn’t really estimate when the hellish experience began and when everyone else came together in this group of 6. His small heart stuffed with hope kept him believing that the torture would cease soon, yet he was doubtful about whether the impish monsters were actually aware and could feel pain as he swiped at them with his gifted blade. Cato’s rattled will would barely keep up with the chaotic commotion that graced his watery blue eyes, focusing on the horde that grew and multiplied before his person as his body was clearly trembling with every loud pulse of his heart.

You actually have to be kidding me...”
The minor sank his ivory nails deeper into his now paler palms as his patience began to wear thin, sure he was terrified of the incoming threats even with the accompaniment of the sextet. He’d be deeply lying if he said that he wasn‘t fazed in the slightest, Cato patted his own body down as he began to calm himself down. His face had all but been drained of colour of the stockpiling stress and his hair was horribly ruffled as he had been unconsciously tugging at it while he was stressing about the monsters situation, Cato didn’t usually do such a thing to himself as he rarely ever got that stress with the fact that his foot was dead and was really unable to run on it. However now that the boy had chilled out he was now slamming his sword into the masses of shadows as they melted away and reformed double the amount before. What a pain. glancing a look over that the reckless display of moves, collapsing in this situation was barely an option however he couldn’t say much with his stiff ankle.

Evading each strike with a swift display of movement, followed by a fury of shallow breathes as his oxygen grew. Flinging his Keyblade at the reanimate shadows like a javelin: knocking a shadow out of existence as it reappeared back into his discoloured hand with each plunge of his short arm. Cato’s breathing patterns were once again heightened with the strain on his poorly body, he hadn’t been of the best as of recently and really shouldn’t of been doing such activities but he managed to pull him along despite how sick he felt. The stress had been making his stomach knot and cramp in on itself, leaving him with his eyebrows tightly knitted together when he got caught off guard by a group shadows meandering towards him like Chocobo to green beans; or a moth to a flashlight. Nevertheless he defended himself by casting Aero on himself to work as a shield of sorts as it whisked the monsters up and defeated a few, while the small boy would bounce on his barefeet; kicking one of the shadows caught up within the gale with a audible grunt as he pushed against the pitch black body of the creature. “Take... THAT!” Yelling out of annoyance as he didn’t want to ‘hurt’ them anymore. Or well that was how he was receiving the situation.

It then dawned on him from within his clouded mind. Who was that cloaked figure and where was his treasured bracelet? As Cato’s mind drifted with a blank spaced glare to accompany it, allowing a single heartless to grain a split moment to attack his already batted feet. The Enigmatic sword unconsciously plunged at the shadow, erasing it from the void’s embrace followed by a party of lime green gales gracing the nothing that was the area. ripping up numerous of shadows as the bombardment of Aero’s cut through the hordes, only to be in vain as double replaced the amount lost. And leaving a heavily taxed Cato in it‘s wake as his blade continued to rack up victims before he realised that they were binding themselves together to create a even bigger threat.
Cato’s eyes were wide like a pair of oranges as his heart sank at the sight of the beast meshing and forming itself into something mindnumbing, was all that fighting in vain? No it couldn’t of been, he thought as he mind rebounded on it‘s doubtful view on the situation but his pessimism would only continue to grow as this time he was truly like a deer in headlights. paralysed by his own shock this time.

Seeing another door swing open Amy’s attention was temporarily drawn to it as she watched the light sweep through the sea of heartless between the group and the door. Gripping her blade tighter she swung wide at another group of heartless coming her way. The wide cleave sent several flying before they burst into nothingness. Swinging again she grit her teeth as anger surfaced, pushing out the doubt she had, the pain from her injury sending adrenaline coursing through her. As the light continued to increase the heartless began to writhe and contort as their forms combined into something that made Amy rethink her situation for a split second.

Steeling herself she looked to the others and noticed Alice starting to get worn down. “We cant continue to fight for much longer, but where there was once many there is now but one.” Amy called out trying to bolster everyone’s mood. “Alright…. uhmm..” Amy continued on hoping to have some follow up words to continue on her mini moral boost but found herself surveying their surroundings. “So, light weakens these creatures… that one seems to be keeping to the most shaded areas… I think. We need to move it into the light, it may not destroy it but it could weaken it.” Amy continued on before reaching down to rub the scratched area of her leg. The blood had mostly stopped at this point but it still hurt.

“Okay… well…. try not to let me die, okay…?” Closing her eyes she took a deep breath before taking a step towards it. Internally she began to give herself a pep talk ‘It may be massive but it’s better than untold thousands.’ as she took another step ‘You didn’t fear the queens men you can’t fear a shadow.’ another foot fell as she continued towards the creature. ‘Just distract it, defend and riposte… but how do you riposte something that big?’ she continued mentally as she watched it move its hand in a sweeping motion. Eyes going wide she only had a second to prepare herself for it as she instinctively formed what could be described as a personal shield of light. The impact of the blast sent her back several paces but she managed to regain her footing before continuing towards it.

‘Distract it, bring it into the light, that’s all we gotta do.. I hope.’ Amy shouted in her head as she stopped in front of it and seized up for a split second. The momentum she had was broken but after a split second she found the resolve to push through her fear. “I may be an ankle biter but I am going to take a chunk out of your ankle!’ Amy cursed at it as she moved herself towards its ankle. Using her forward momentum she swung the heavy blade towards what could be described as the ankle area… if it was a human.

Ruuj-2.jpegThat voice, while was low, sounded so loud in her ears. It teased her to move forward, and she didn't like to deny such outspoken challenges. This was taking so much longer than in past instances. The imps seemed more deadly, more real.

Bright light overtook her senses, blinding her momentarily.

She found herself in some sort of plaza, with several other people wielding similar blades that looked like keys. Many, if not all of them, appeared damaged in some way. Taking in a shaky breath, she tried to take in what could have been the cause. That became very obvious soon enough, as she watched the last of the little shadows gather into something gigantic and menacing.

At first, her ears and tail trembled. The monster appeared nothing like those that she had seen in her forest. This was new.

She chanced a glance around the plaza, looking for any escape routes, noting a bright door. Something called to her about it, and she felt this monster wasn't something they should be fighting. With a blast coming at them, she dove to the floor to avoid being smacked with whatever properties that blast would carry.

Ruuj noted a blonde girl running in her direction, towards the door, Ruuj quickly righted herself back to her feet. The blonde was talking with another girl with blue hair, a look of exhaustion seemed plain on her face.

As much as she wanted to save her own hide and get through the door so close, that wouldn't sit right in the healer's chest. These people were probably supposed to be her comrades somehow, forced to fight and face these inky monsters.

As she moved her gaze quickly from those two, they landed on a blonde boy, whose foot looked like was giving him trouble. Without a second thought, she cast Curara and targeted the boy, hoping to heal any wounds that she could.

Of course, she noticed another girl with dark hair who seemed to have a wound on her leg. Ruuj cast Curara on her as well.

Ruuj spoke up just as the dark haired girl rushed towards the giant inky monster, "I can heal you guys. But we need to fall back, not fight!" This was no time for introductions. And she couldn't heal all day, either.

Backside of TV (Sapphire Remix) || Daichi's CS File

The world kept moving. He could barely keep up with the flow of attacks. Was this what war really was like? He’d heard all the stories of NORA being hunted down like a game but he’d never really understood what it was to be overwhelmed by enemies on all sides. He sliced into another heartless with a skid across the floor. He didn’t know them but that didn’t stop the Crystal Warriors from coming together. Granted from what he’d heard of the stories it wasn’t exactly easy for them either but he didn’t plan on failing here. Which is why he couldn’t accept the foolish girl’s words.

“ARE YOU INSANE? IF WE CAN’T EVEN BEAT IT TOGETHER THAN LEAVING YOU BEHIND WON’T HELP”

He stopped and huffed as he shifted his grip on his blade. Another down and he turned to do a headcount. One already disappeared, two were missing from the glyphs that appeared already activated. He didn’t know if that meant that they were already past but it didn’t make sense to him. He could investigate later though for now the only strategizing he’d do was planning how they would all get out of this alive.

Luckily he didn’t seem to need to worry too heavily as the ones around him seemed plenty capable in their own right as the girl who introduced herself as Amalia threw out a light bright enough to beat back a good deal of the shadows. The blond male was no slouch either as he let loose a gale that shoved them all away. He came up closer trying to catch up with Yue-Jui. It was too soon to cheer though as the shadows cannibalized into one larger shadow. He stopped in his tracks. What The Hell?

    “What is this bullshit?”

He felt himself mutter to himself in horror of the new enemy. Yet the old phrase from his hometown “The child will always be the one to lead them through their struggles” came rearing back as he heard the youngest girl shout violently as she let loose a strong volley of magic. The blizzard hit as it roared in pain. He saw an older girl come up and support Alice from the side, he needed to learn more about them later.

“Amazing… WE GOT THIS. I’m going to go all in! Hit it while I keep it’s attention.”

He shouted as he kept running to it just barely enduring the dark volley it released. Still he wasn’t nearly as speedy as the others and Amalia overtook him again. The girl blew herself back a few feet with the impact of a parry. He ran up and took a quick swipe at the large monster to give her some breathing room.

    “I’m here with you!”

Luckily enough a healer appeared and helped the two who’d gotten injured. He took a quick look before he continued the assault on the monster. They couldn’t afford to have this thing on their backs. It just wouldn’t work out well. He dug his feet into the earthen patch below him before doing a powerful horizontal sweep at hip level.

“Sorry Miss Can’t afford to flee! Who knows what’s waiting for us after!”

Yue-Jui | Probably Dead

High knee, a soaring strike into the windpipe of one foul beast, it went ahead as he landed. Jui flicked his weapon with a flourish, then charged onward. As furious as he was at these half-witz for getting him into this bleeding mess of filth and dung water, he knew now for certain he couldn't just ditch them, even if a part of him wanted to for just a moment to make them pay for not listening to his concerns and warnings.

"Dat'LL bEE zA LAsT TiME YA MAKE ME LISTEN TO A BLOODY WORD YE SAY!" He yelled, slid, and slashed violently into the gut of one beast as he skidded past and kicked to the side as he came to a stop to avoid a blow.

He glanced behind him and saw the distance between him and the others, swearing under his breathe- he cursed how damn slow they were. Turning he meant to slice his way back, only to get jumped and have something dreadfully sharp sink into his shoulder.

"GARAHTA!" He swore in the tongue of Nonsense. And in blinding fury and pain, managed to knock aside a swipe, then get kicked in the face be an assist, dazing him as he dropped into the ground, slamming his weight against the beast that had sank its fangs into his shoulder in the process, and feeling the searing pain flash with intensity as the creature let go.

Immediately, he rolled off, kicked out- slamming his barefoot into the beast's head. It fizzled out of existence, and as he stumbled backwards with a scowl of pain, he checked the wound to see dots of red growing in the wound mark that came with the sting of pain.

Breathing heavy, surrounded by six little ugly devils of the Undertundra, come to drag his soul into the Ever Dark, Yue-Jui's beating heart and the sound of fighting comrades faded from his senses. All while one emotion came rushing forward. Pure anger.

"I'M GONNA RIP YOU A NEW ONEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"

Except he couldn't because the moment he made to charge, a ray of stretching white light vaporized the ugly devils he would have surely slaughtered.

Absolutely peeved by this turn of events, catching a glance of the source that had ruined his revenge, a bunny girl of all things (questions for later), he turned and dove straight into a mass of ugly devils with reckless abandon.

"HA HA!" He cried, and with a leap slit the throat clean through of one, and sucker punched the partner behind it through the mist of vapor that came from its dead partner. Ignoring the pain in his shoulder, Jui headbutted this punk and then dove his key blade within. He pulled out, whipped on his heel, and then took a odd stance with one arm behind his back- the blade pointed forward.

"Come to Yue-Jui, ya fuckin gobbo," came the venomous growl.

With great haste, the beasts did.

Running to meet them with deft speed, Jui flicked his wrist, parried one, two, three, four, five, six attacks- dodged a sweep with a jump and countered that with a spinning kick to the noggin; turned, elbowed another, stabbed it as it fell; met the charging devil with his blade like a skewer to meat, and rolled off the back of another to cleanly slice the head off it and its partner.

Yet the madness did not end. And the greater the danger, the greater his vision. Normies were not at all normal, and the enhanced senses- the hearing, the smell, the sight, it gave him a bit of a cheat code. Not that he really knew that or noticed. To Jui- all the others probably had the same thing and even if they didn't, this rather abnormal ability only activated in stressful times of flight or fight.

And what a fight this was indeed.

He had no idea how long he parried or cut or slashed or stabbed or punched or bit, kicked or nipped, slipped and dipped, yipped and tripped-- but when the enemy started retreating- common sense and rationality slowly returned. With it, bruises, cuts, and sores.

But Jui ignored these pains. For his stress level was through the roof, and the only way out of it- was through that bloody damn door of white light.

To him, that giant beast of shadow was no more scarier than staying in this insanity for another moment. When the creature attacked, he being too tired to move, stabbed his sword into the ground and took a knee. Weathering it. After that trial was done, Jui rose and glared at the monstrosity that stood in their path. Hearing almost everything everyone was saying in his heightened state of awareness. From Blue's fanatic yells of 'die die die', like some weird perversion of a hip hop song; to the babble of the others. As he watched Amelia go off for an attack- Jui decided to join her. So he did what any semi-rational teenage boy would do, hopped up on adrenaline.

He screamed a maddening noise of incoherence in the tongue of Nonsense like a madman; loosely translating to the others as: "Existence is pain, fuck you, that door is my aim!"

All in a maddening attempt to draw the big ugly's attention. And to make matters worse, Jui screamed at the top of hos lungs: "HEY EDGELORD! YOUR CREATOR IS A LIGHT BULB! I'VE STUDIED HISTORY DARKER THAN YOU! WHAT IS THIS A KID'S STORY?! I AIN'T GUN PISS ME BRICHES IF THAT'S ALL YE GOT!"

The girls' eyes widened as the entire scene played before her. Around her, her friends were fighting,a nds o was she. Taking out some of the heartless with the raw power her boost gave her without too much trouble, even so far as to knock an heartless into an group like an bowling ball into pins. she then stared at the new heartless in contempt. This would most likely take a team effort. She didn't smile, but she wasn't fearful either. Perhaps this boost gave her a bit of confidence too ? Maybe. Anyways, without missing a beat, she used her keyblade to lung forward and throw her keyblade at the ever growing mass of darkness, the light from her keyblade emitting a glow.

"Runaway if you want but I'm not leaving until this thing is dead!" The young mage yelled out to those who did not wish to continue the this fight. But even if she had no allies to work with she would stop at nothing to see this thing dead even if it did cost her life. Not that felt alive in a long time that feeling was gone when her homeworld was destroyed. Ignoring Usha she raised her blade again going and firing another blizzard, upon doing so she could feel a wave of exhaustion hit her body forcing her to drop to one knee. The creature would only flinch at there attacks was it even taking any damage? Was there attacks all for nothing it has to have some sort of weakness maybe what did Amelia say light? Of course, it is, if she wasn't angry she would of notice it. Slowly getting back up Alice would start to run towards where light is shining. "Hey, over here you annoying beast!" She would then blast the remaining amount of magic she had in her until the blizzards would no longer come out. This would hopefully cause the shadow to come after the now defenceless mage it's up to the team now to finish it off by knocking it into the light. As for Alice well shes not going anywhere, she felt a heavy heartbeat hit her chest, she definitely overdid it she is nowhere near skilled enough to pull off this number of spells yet. "So this is how I die." Grabbing her now painfully beating chest she falls to the ground passing out.

USHA LOUVEL

Usha noticed a hand come her way, gigantic and black in color. She flipped herself backward to evade the attack, dashing the moment she got her balance back and slashed at the enemy's appendage. Everyone was doing their thing, they were all attacking but her mind screamed at her to run. That they should run. They won't last long, wounded and exhausted like this.

She ran up from the arm of the inky abomination, leaving slashes from her blade with a fury not at it but to her companions. No one of them think, none of them doesn't seem to want to live if she was being honest and if they continue she might just get dragged with them and into the realm of the dead. She dropped back to the ground with a vertical slash

For one, she was glad for the bunny-eared person that came, healing the others and having the same train of thought like her. Praise! But everyone else... Two were injured, although one of them has an idea for a weakness to these creatures which was certainly helpful, one is having a tantrum like the child-minded teen that he is and another, well, is fighting with optimism. And oh, the other person that she decided to give advice to had ignored her and went ahead to dreamland.

Usha wanted to just bash their heads together. They were starting to be a pain in the ass, and she's starting to think that it is possible to get aneurysm from people that act stupidly. "Oi," She called out, to whoever can hear and whoever will respond to her, "Someone get Alice!" She evaded with a jump to the side ad another volley headed her way. "We can't continue fighting, not with injured and fainted people." She swung her arm to retaliate, continuing on. "I agree with bunny-girl doctor over there. We should fall back, or would you all rather die together here?"

Her eyes never left the enemy, if she wanted to avoid any injuries, she had to focus. Keep track of movements. She jumped higher than she intended and dealt a rather strong blow to the midriff. She landed near Ruuj, "We are going to exhaust our healer at this rate," Usha stated, hoping that it could somehow bring everyone to their senses. "I don't know about you all but I want to go back and find my family."

  • The dark volley exploded as it made contact with Daichi’s shoulder. It’s energy shot back and started to form minor shades at the feet of the Darkside. Annoyances, more than easy enough to slice through typically but they served a greater purpose. The minor attacks would eventually wear down on the team. The darkside screamed an unholy wail as the blizzards hit it’s head. The creature brought its head down shaking it violently as swiped its arms back and forth without aiming.

As it’s swing connected with Amy’s shield it’s anger only got worse as the hand began to sizzle obviously taking a deal of damage from the ray of light released from the meeting of the darkness. It barely had time to bring the hand back before Daichi ran in close with a horizontal sweep to its leg. More and more shadows appeared from it attacking those finding their way to its feet. A keyblade went soaring charged with magical power ending up lodged in the chest of the Darkside.

The quick lunge from Usha brought the creature even further down to its knees as the wails started to echo becoming an attack of its own. It was vulnerable now but the waves of shadows attacked Daichi, Amy and Yue-Jui trying to get past to attack the more vulnerable Alice and Ruuj. Yet as the shadow fell to its knees it loomed over the three as well as Aozora and Cato who were far. Soon rays of darkness came bursting out of its chest aiming at the five keeping them running.

Ruuj-1.jpegRuuj soon almost regretted using Curara on the dark haired girl who was smacking the beast at its feet, because then, three other people became much more injured than she had been. She hadn't imagined that they would keep fighting instead of falling back. This conflicted with the healer's feelings, knowing she'd be unable to keep up with healing everyone. She sighed. It is what it is. The dark-haired guy mentioned not knowing what would be waiting for them after, but to her... Wouldn't that mean it would be best to not wear oneself down to be prepared? Avoid this conflict, even if it means running into another?

Noting the appearances of everyone else, she determined who would need her support, and hoping that this last round of Curaras was enough and they'd last long enough to take down the beast.

The one who would get her immediate attention was the overzealous, icy, blue-haired mage. After her, then the guy who talked strangely, seeing that his shoulder seemed messed up, and then the dark-haired guy. Having an idea of how much more magic she could cast before going empty, she knew that would be it. Any more people getting injured, she wouldn't be able to help.

When the blonde-haired girl landed near her, she cast a sideways glance to acknowledge her. She got the sense that they just may get along. After the girl's statements is when she fired her three Curaras in a row, starting with the out-cold blue-haired girl, then the nonsensical guy, then the dark-haired guy.

Now, she felt totally drained as sweat pooled to her forehead, her chest heaving from the effort and the awful feeling of being so low on mana that she shouldn't be able to cast a thing.

At least all of the attacks seemed to be affecting the monster and it wasn't futile.

Then she noticed the wave of shadows. Her ears fell back as she sucked her teeth. The only thing she was left with now was the strangely shaped key in hand and no no-how technique to use it. If any would somehow break through the front line and reach her, the best she could do is retreat while swinging. Noticing a ray heading towards her, she jumped sideways again, hoping to avoid the ray. She couldn't afford to get injured. She didn't want to get injured.

Fuck it. If she couldn't heal anymore, best thing might be is to gather up the unconscious girl. She set her stance and ran in her direction, scooping her up, and did her best to stay at a distance, unconscious girl over one shoulder, keyblade in her other hand.

Lashing out left and right Amy kept herself on the tips of her toes, bouncing back and forth with a grace that one would expect out of a fencer yet she wielded a keyblade that seemed longer than one might expect. Hefting the key up she let it sit on her shoulder before moving to the side of a lashing arm of darkness. Bouncing the keyblade on her landing she used the momentum to heft it down and to the left. Sending herself into an inertia based spin she cut through the wave of heartless pouring out from the creature’s feet before seeing a keyblade get lodged into its chest.

Falling back as it began to wail she continued to swing left and right playing crowd control over the swarm of heartless that poured towards their ranged fighters. Gripping her keyblade tighter she suddenly saw dark flashes from above in time to move out of the way of a beam. Staring up she looked over to the others that now had to move in order to keep from getting hit. Staying on the move for a short time she finally stopped and gritted her teeth before the beam coming for her halted. Extending her arms out and to the side she looked as if she was going to take the beam willingly before a half dome of light formed over her.

“Come under this if you can!” She shouted to the others as she began to feel her head cloud as her body strained under the magical exertion. Despite the growing weariness she redoubled her resolve as the beam above her crashed down onto the shield. Like the wave of darkness striking the shield earlier a beam of light was reflected off as the energy was redirected back up at the lurching behemoth. If the others were to run under the beams following them would crash onto the shield, redirecting the beams of energy back up.

Holding the stance she felt the smaller heartless begin to swarm towards her, impacting against the lower part of the shield. The smaller heartless bounced off harmlessly before slamming themselves against it again. Dealing with the force coming from above she felt for a moment that it wouldn’t hold under the force coming from both directions. Luckily, the heartless stopped throwing themselves at the frontal barrier and began to swarm around it, breaking through her defenses and beginning to gun right for her.

Cato Procella

Springing on his viable foot, he bounced over to the massive monster towering over the team and putting the smaller shadow‘s to shame. Cato’s wide open as he proceeded to draw within the radius of the smaller shadows‘ and larger Darkside, flipping onto his hands to dodge a impending attack from the smaller imps’ attempting to claw at his person. While he balanced momentarily on his soft hands, keyblade tucked away in his shirt as he did an attempt at a handstand to avoid the attacks he faced. Landing flat on his feet a mom later as he plunged his blade into more of the wimpy shadows, his fear of them mostly eroding at the hand of his mind as he saw the sear size of the Darkside, now that was something to fear. His lashes batted away beads of sweat that crawled down his sweaty skin, soaking his clothing so that it stuck to his skin but it wasn’t that noticeable as his attention was fixated on the perilous situation that he could really understand. Most of the fore coming hours were nothing but hazy shadows to the dumbfounded boy, finding that his throat has turned course and sore. Preventing him from really talking all the much as his voice box was like sandpaper rubbing against his skin.

Clutching his blade tight in his left: but sweaty hand with a ironclad grip. Noticing that the girl that had been with him earlier had shadows pooling around her, dashing over to some nearby shadows and slashing his monochrome blade across the facial(?) section of the crawling beasts. The breathless boy fumbled with his dry mouth, trying to formulate a sentence but his mind was far too muddled and instead he murmured random noises. Swallowing what saliva present in his mouth, blocking an attack with his weapon from a sneaky shadow though he was agile enough to strike them away in time In order to prevent any further scapes. Yet a shadow earlier did get a nick at his bare leg, darting about in his bandaged ankles casting a whirlwind of lime green air near the girl in question, whipping numerous of shadows up into the airsteam.
The lithie 14 year old- Cato - now moved his attention to the building sized beast before him as he stood right beneath his lumbering legs, flimsily scaling up the left calf by jumping partly and making use of his limbs as he climbed up the beast .

Only now did he realise Just how far up he had gotten, with nothing but the daunting void and crawling shadows below.
Clinging to the hip area as he freaked out internally, clenching his eyes shut as he pressed against the Darkside: gathering his waning strength, growing progressively weaker as casted another Aero against the Darkside’s abdominal area where the empty area should of been. Feeling hot tears clinging to his lids, what was he even thinking? Since he wasn’t at all the tallest and having a weapon processed in a hand made it difficult to climb.

High... so high...“ he whimpered quietly under his wavy breath and rapid heartbeat, pulling himself up further onto the torso of the Darkside, readying himself incase a dark volley came for him. Gaining higher ground as he now approached the twin floodlights and curling hair(?) if you would even call it that, swinging up using the blade like an ice pick to jab into the shoulder, yanking his smaller body up. His hair flew about with the ponytail whooshing to and thou along the moment with his moving target, his hands cried as they leeched a red pigment upon his normally light coloured skin. But now was the final stretch, curling his arm around one of the many hairs as a means of securing himself, while he resisted looking down out of fear.
Shit here we go, shit, shit, shit
He bit into his lips as he gazed at ‘face’ of the Darkside or whatever you would call the two silhouettes that were clearly ideas, and with that in mind he readily his weapon in his right hand as the angle required as such. Jabbing the colourless blade into the beaming eye or well he hoped at least as really anything could happen to him before he even touched it’s eyes, hopefully he wouldn’t have to be in contact with the beast but he hopped to take it down after a few swings at the very least.

Yue was flipping out. He didn’t know why exactly he wasn’t fighting but he could hear the boys screams from his position at the feet. He saw a keyblade whip past him and found it belonged to the girl trying to handle it all on her own. Admirable but now she was weaponless. His grip tightened on his own sword. It seemed as though Alice was doing the most damage to the thing but she passed out as she had exhausted herself, well they certainly would struggle to run now. The stern looking girl pulled off a rather impressive maneuver that both brought the shadow to its knees and left her in distance to protect Alice.

He put his all into his swings clearing several shadows from surrounding them. The dark volley that hit his shoulder had rebounded and now brought forth more shadows as he fell missing a dodge. He wasn’t down long as he felt the familiar warmth of magic stitching together his wounds. He didn’t even have the time to thank the girl before suddenly the towering monster was spewing rays of darkness at the five. He did a dodge to the right just barely making it. He saw Amalia summoning forth a shield of light as she beckoned them to come closer.

He did a parry with his blade as a shadow was getting close to Yue-Jui. Without a thought for the boy’s reaction he yanked him along dragging him to Amalia. He could complain later but for now the guy needed to live through this, madness could be discussed later. He reached the girls side and looked up through the light shield.

“Are you sure this shield of yours will hold?”

He didn’t want to be a downer but he didn’t know if he was going to be able to help a mage and their only other option wasn’t exactly in fighting shape. Shit. Which one decided climbing the beast shooting out rays of energy was a smart idea. He could see a wave of blond but he couldn’t help but wonder what they thought they were accomplishing.

“Nevermind we may have bigger problems right now. Any chance you’re good with high jumps too?”

Yue-Jui | Probably Dead

It was madness and because it was madness and he realized his yelling was doing nothing, Yue-Jui switched tactics. He had to with how many of those little devils were collecting at the feet. He was going to charge, going to attack- but he couldn't. Something grabbed him forcefully from behind and tugged at him, yanking. Yue-Jui yelled and twisted the second he felt the tug, he swung but missed, swung again but missed again. It was when he got yanked to the point of loosing balance did he see that it was just Die-Itchy trying to drag him somewhere.

But where?

Yue-Jui however didn't care, he tried getting up but with the way Die-Itchy was dragging him, attempts at getting up were just failing. He stumbled or slipped or missed his footing and Die-Itchy used that completely against him.

What a jackass!

Yue-Jui would have socked him if it weren't for the fact he was too busy thinking that getting up would give him the chance to escape. Clearly, since he wasn't thinking clearly, it was obvious Die-Itchy knew what he was attempting. Their struggle came to an end when Yue-Jui was deposited on the ground near Amy. Not even completely aware that he was healed or that he had been healed at all, it was only under the light that some of the confuddled fog clouding his mind began to fade just a bit. Rationality once again returned a bit more, this time easing up the jumble of anxiety, paranoia, and stress that he was increasingly feeling. He blinked and it was like having come back feeling refreshed. It was now he saw that he wasn't feeling the same intense pain he had been feeling before. The sharp stinging in his shoulder, the burning cuts in his legs and arms. They were gone, and he was feeling fine.

Healed? It was a thought for later. He would find who and then thank them for it but now- right now there was too much going on. He needed to think, instead of laying there like a complete washed up tool of useless. The shield shook violently and it was there that he noticed it had been struck. Snapping him out of the lethargy and into alert once more, Yue-Jui's senses heightened made him wince at the wailing scream of their big bad and then his teeth and lips formed a gnarly snarl of frustration at the current setting of once more having monsters rush them like a wave coming to shore.

But. That's. When. He. Saw. IT. The smoke. The smoke that came from the limb, the growl of anger and pain. The light. The light was its weakness, just like it was a shadow's. Clarity, reason, jumbled thoughts, they smacked into each other and formed an idea. A terrible idea. An idea that had Yue-Jui grinning as a bead of sweat slid down his temple, to his neck. His eyes dilating into those horrid, manic spirals.

"Well, the devil pinchers wooda come four me some day" he said grimly, sounding a lot more sensible. "If this works, every single one of you owes me." Then with swift agility and renewed vigor thanks to that heal, Yue-Jui ran right into the approaching wave. Something came to mind. A spell. It was ingrained into his neural pathways, and then he pointed the blade and shouted: PRESTO BLASTO!

A ripple of air collapsed at the tip of his key blade into a tiny ball of crackling energy, then with a step back waiting, timing. Yue-Jui waited till the first row was a good few feet feet in front of him, then he let the first five lunge. He swang his blade, the ball sinking into his key in the same moment as he was moving, it turned black- the stars flashed brighter and as he completed the swing--

--screams of hundreds of little tiny devils filled the air in front of him as a wave of rippling purple green energy went flying from his blade. They energy arc sent a gust of energy behind Yue-Jui, jostling clothes and pushing back at against the shield. The arc collided with the tiny devils and pushed them back like it was made up of a wall. And then it collapsed into itself and exploded- sending the wave everywhere and scattering them. Many flew past Yue-Jui, others flew completely above them, limbs flailing. And a ton more went sailing backwards.

He charged right after, now with the path cleared. And ran straight for the center of the beast, right where its knelt. Dodging survivors that reformed and regrouped into new bodies. Yue-Jui parried and moved on. Cuts raked at his arms and one clipped his cheek, drawing blood, but he moved. Resilient forward. And watched as a small gathering of creatures charged him. If it did anything, it made his nervous grin turn maddening as his dilated spirals became almost chaotic in appearance. "Bring it" he whispered.

He leaped and brought his sword down like an axe overhead. Cleaved through one, Ducked a claw, but took a blow from another that made him reel. Snarling, he drew a fist and punched back. Then rolled as claws slashed at his back and cut cleanly with a diagnol due of red to show it had connected. Yue-Jui moved quicker, faster. Pointing his blade as he ran and now was being chased and cut off from the rest of the gang, the spell was on his tongue- but he didn't shout it as he was cut off by another Heartleass appearing in front of him. He football charged under it and with his sword as a brace, lifted the tiny, weightless creature over him like a rhino. Then pointing his sword up as high as it could at the center of the creature's chest, shrouded in dimness and being surrounded by a small troop of uglies, he closed his eyes, and hoped this worked.

Solar Flare

Nothing happened.

Yue-Jui's expression became stern as he concentrated. Don't tell me that was all the magic I had, don't fucking do this to me. I am not gonna die a-- he felt the warmth in his hand key as it hummed and the stars in it shifted and aligned, all growing brighter. He opened his eyes as the first beat lunged at him. "Fuck yeah."

The area exploded in blinding light. He put as much magic energy as he could into it. Yue-Jui became a miniature star of light that expanded outwards, growing at the center of the big bad's chest. The massive ball of light held up by his sword was shoved as he thrust upwards with a mighty yell. "FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It was clear he hadn't been fully all there yet when he committed to this plan.

Aozora was getting tired. She realized her little manuever had a nastys ide effect of stamina drain. But she didn't want to give ujp. Not when he r friends were fighting so hard and long for them. Gathering every bit of strength she had left, she charged to get her keyblade back, barely managing to duck the oncoming Shadows, somehow managing to barely avoid them aas he closed in on the massive heartless. She finally managed to close in directly on her keyblade, the massive weapon glinting in the light. She gripped it as hard as she could.

She didn't smile. Her face held pure determination. It didn't matter to her at all what happened to her, rather than what happened to everyone else. She hoped that this would be enough to at least somewhat assist, she jumped barely high enough to be at the beast's ankle, and delivered an devastation blow using just a hint of the power she previously had, although it was the last thing she could've did, as she fainted just then, using every bit of current strength she had at that point. She fell dramatically.

  • The darkside at its knees was already falling apart as wisps of shadow appeared around its body almost seeming as though it were melting into the background. The shadow seemed to shudder with each step Cato took on the beast. Even with its beams shooting out it couldn’t pierce the shield of light that Amy held protecting her Yue-jui and Daichi, merely cracking into it. Yet it let out the loudest of it’s cries as Cato’s blade made its way into stabbing what should be it’s eye.

Suddenly the beams stopped entirely, more and more wisps of shadow appeared as it seemed the monster became less and less solid. The arms began to swing about violently aiming to throw Cato but before it could rid itself of the Guardian of Winds. With his attacks clearing its way down the smaller shadows Yue-Jui charged. A few more flinging of spells and the light that was released by Yue decimated what was left of the smaller shadows. The shadow barely withstood the blows by a single slither of power which was easily snuffed out by Aozora’s attack.

A wave of power was released as the entire room seemed to lose gravity. The monster broke apart as what seemed to be beams coming from within it went to each one’s keyblade. The floor, the mountains, the water all disappeared along with the monsters. The only thing left was the lone door of light. Now completely open the light overtook the shadows leaving them suspended in pure light before they began to plummet. Yet instead of pain they found themselves placed softly on solid ground. All around them were signs that looked as though they would be lit up yet weren’t and cityscape. Paper lanterns were the only light here lining the streets, yet far in the distance two towers were lit up. Streets all around yet nothing on them but tram tracks. A massive land but not a soul in sight, seemingly abandoned everywhere but those two buildings.

Ruuj-2.jpegThe healer looked on at the front-liners, praying to the Twelve that they’d make it, that they’d be able to take down this beast. She wouldn’t be of any more help. Her dark gaze looked over at the unconscious girl over her shoulder, making sure her status hadn’t changed as she hopped back once more, trying to keep distance from the shadow monsters.

The incoherent boy that she had just healed went and got himself injured again, earning him a tsk from Ruuj. There wasn’t much that could have been done to prevent it, but she couldn’t heal him again.

Woosh.

Ruuj’s ears twitched at the power that rippled through the air.

Then gravity seemed to just disappear.

With an eep, she moved the unconscious, blue-haired mage where she could grasp onto her easier, her arms wrapping around the smaller girl’s body.

She’d never fallen from what looked like a terrible height. She liked knowing the distance. A scream escaped her, tightening her arms around the blue-haired girl.

She had to be smart about this fall. Forcing herself to keep her eyes open, she gulped. As they descended, her outfit fluttered along with it. A more conservative person would probably abhor her outfit.

As soon as she felt she was about to hit ground, she would try to bend her knees with the fall, not wanting to break her legs, but also not wanting to just splatter.

No pain. She wasn’t expecting a lack of a crash, so she fell on her rump with a thud.

Her heart felt like it was in her throat and her chest at the same time as it raced a million miles a minute. Unwilling to release the girl in her arms, her eyes suddenly took in their surroundings.

There were what appeared to be really tall, ginormous buildings- nothing like what she had seen in the jungle, nor seen in books. She sat there, awestruck, her ears sticking straight up, the fur terribly windblown.

Feeling her arms growing weaker Amy tried to bolster her resolve but looking at the people that had come to her for safety. Squeezing her eyes closed she let out a yelp of pain as she felt her body spasm in pain as she pushed herself to the edge. Luckily for her, the creature was growing ever weaker and finally the barrier fell as it began to burst in wispy bundles of shadow. Everywhere above her it seemed to hemorrhage and rip apart before finally it reeled and burst into energy.

Falling backwards and onto her rear Amy looked up towards the nothingness that surrounded them, seeing the glow of energy intensifying around her as it streamed into her. Closing her eyes she let out a sigh of relief before feeling air flying past her. Opening her eyes in alarm she saw that everything was beginning to change, the feeling of weightlessness overtaking her. Flailing about for a moment she felt her heart thump loudly in her chest before managing to right herself in what she thought was up.

Glancing around she saw the others and felt somewhat better that if she was going to go splat on the ground that at least she wouldn't die alone. Taking a deep breath Amy exhaled in a controlled way as her clothes began to light up brightly, glowing a golden radiant light before flashing once and being replaced by an entirely different outfit. Staring at it she seemed to forget that she was falling for a moment and did a midair swish of her hips to see the dress spin around, allowing her a slighty better look at it. "Oh wow.... this is beautiful." she spoke to herself "To bad I feel like I will only get to appreciate this for a minute."

As if on que she saw the ground and hit it, her eyes squeezed shut until she felt the light touch of ground. Having touched down with relative grace she exhaled quickly "Wooooooow I thought I was going to die again." She said out loud. Taking in her surroundings Amy felt dwarfed, so very small among the vast architecture that spanned out and above her. "You may build your towers tall but will never pierce heaven." She spoke quietly, her anxiety peaking at the vastness of the city before her. "This is wigging me out... like I really feel anxiety over this. How tall are these things.... like I have seen floating castles and a horizon of thorns as far as the eye can see but this is truly.... unnerving. Where are we..... and Oooooo I forgot I got new clothes!" Amy said her anxiety suddenly replaced with joy as she remembered her outfit had changed entirely. "Anyone have a mirror?" she spoke to the others.

Alice, had quite the rude awakening having been held quite tightly against the bunny women body how long had she been out? What is going on to cause such panic? Looking around she could see that they were falling. Oh good, they left the one-room wait, falling!? Wait what just happened did that door lead them here, why are they in the sky! Where they meant to die, Is this stuped trial still happing. Still, this isn't a bad way to go this lady's fur is nice. Foucs Alice! Before she could think of what to do the group just sorted landed like no pain or anything as far as she could tell. Looks like they are where they need to be. "Um miss think you for carrying me and all but could you please put me down your squesing rather tight." Not that she minded being held by such a soft bunny girl womon thing but she wanted to look around. Not waiting for a rpaly the young mage sliped right out and landed on her feet, she still felt tired from the fight but at least her heart wasn't screaming in pain anymore. The city like place they found them selfs in was trely breathe taking it was it felt similar to home just with out all the snow and artificial water. "Well, who ever put us in this mess is around here somewhere time to start looking." and with that, before even waiting for a reply from the others she started to walk towards the two towers in the distance.
