The Pun Tyrant
Ok, I know it's a bit of a killjoy move, but I believe it is important as a GM to lay out the rules in a clear, straightfoward way right off the bat so everyone knows exactly what they are getting into. It's also good for players to make sure they have that awareness in respect for myself and for your fellow roleplayers. So, here are the rules as concise as I can make them:
1.As GM I reserve the exclusive right to add, remove or alter rules as I see fit.
2. Please have roleplay common sense. Being respectful, not godmodding, following RPN rules... You know the drill.
3. For the moment, the RP will host a maximum of 10 players1.Each player is permitted one character. That character will either be a level 1 person who got summoned from another world (ours) (specific traits wll be dealt with case by case) to this fantasy world, or a native to the fantasy world. Characters form players introduced later into the roleplay will be subject to being dealt entirely on a case by case basis.
2.BY POSTING A CHARACTER FOR THIS RP, YOU ARE AGREEING TO SAID CHARACTER BEING USED TO ANY EXTENT I OR ANY OTHER GM SEE FITTING, AS AN NPC IN THIS RP IN CASE OF PROLONGED ABSENSE OR IF DUE TO ANY OTHER REASON ONE MIGHT MAKE THE REASONABLE ASSUMPTION THAT YOU WILL NOT BE INVOLVED WITH THE RP WITHIN THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE.
3.The obtainment of items, results of random effects or leveling up will be determined by GMs IC or OOC.1.Under normal circumstances, two posts per week of one solid paragraph will be the minimum permitted. 8 FULL lines as viewed on PC shall be this minimum in case of doubt.
2.All antagonistic, relevant or non-player introduced NPCs are to be treated as another player's character would unless specified otherwise. In other words, no killing them or godmodding with them etc... Except in circumstances you would another player.1.Players are free to make their own class and skills, but they cannot change their class. The new skills from leveling up are also made by the players in spite of the fact the levling up is determined by me. Both classes and skills, all of them, have to be approved, and though they will not retroactively changed, an attempt to use that to sneak a visibily overpowered or plot-breaking skill past me is potential grounds for banning.
2. All skills made must fit within one's class role and class theme.
3.Anything not made explicit regarding skills will be considered as non-existent. For instance to say one has fire magic, but not put in any specific fire effects in skills is akin to nothing. Classes do not have to be made explicit except upon my request or that of another GM.
Well, then here are your character sheets. I would like to encourage, as you work on them or on the case of returning players, as you complete your character sheets, that you discuss with other players about your intended character and dynamic within the group. Having everyone distribute their roles within the group better and in a more coordenated fashion, better covering strengths and weaknesses for everyone without anyone trying to hoard everything will both make for a more interesting story, group and RP, but it will also make it more entertaining for you to share the spotlight among you, and easier for me as a GM to provide you all with a good challenging and fun narrative that makes everyone feel involved.
That said, I will not force anyone to do anything. This is merely a behavior I would like to encourage if I can.
