Hello fellow adventurers from another another world, new friends! I hope you're not too upset with the whole "I just basically got kidnapped to a strange fantays world out of nowhere" deal, and I'm sure you have plenty of questions! Now that the intro is done, let's answer some of those, nyah! :3
1.Hey, isn't this like, super dangerous?!
No need to sweat the details! Look, it's very simple. You just a get your class, you go to the evil castle and pawn a bunch of bad guys along the way to knocking the evil wizard out cold again, then come back and get a wish. Sure, there's going to be a few vampires, petrifying basilisks, giant skeleton hordes, -blurry- goblins, and such along the way, but you can handle it, no problem!
2.Why us?
You were in the right age group and were sufficiently disposable.
3.Where's the bathroom?
The castle's "bathroom" would be at the bottom, just go in the opposite direction to the armory from the throne room, past the dining hall there's a door with some gloves on a shelf beside it. Take a pair, open the door, then walk down the spiraling stairs for about 10 minutes, don't forget to turn left not right or you'll end up in the dungeon!
There aren't a lot of bathrooms though in this world, so you better get used to calling the world your bathroom. Don't worry though, it's super exciting, and the misunderstandings from someone showing up while you're partway through it will elevate your adventure to a whole new level!
4.Can we get back?
I mean if you absolutely HAVE to be such a killjoy and a bore, I guess you can ask the summoners to take you back. They'll send you back, but keep in mind that the spell only automatically changes things that are different between the worlds. So, like, if you find yourself with an extra thumb or ended up turning a lot older due to some mistake, it won't get corrected when you are sent back. Well, I guess maybe you COULD ask them to fix it for you as your wish after defeating the evil wizard...just saying...
5.What do I do if I fall in love?
TELL ME ALL ABOUT IT! I'll help you make it a success! Love transcends all! All for love!
6.Skills? Stats? Classes? Mana? What are those? @.@
Eh, haven't you ever played an RPG before? Ah, I guess it can't be helped. Not everyone summoned is a harcore gamer or anime fan...
Your class is an ingrained occupation that evolves with growth of your body. Often chosen in one's childhood, but for you it will be chosen after your summoning. All classes have strengths and weaknesses, so make sure to get a good balance in your party (your group)! Your class gives you special abilities called skills which normally require mana or vitality to be used. You get new abilities or evolve old ones to new ranks when you level up. Classes also have roles, of which there are many types, but the main ones are "support", "damage/DPS" and "tank". Support classes have non-combat utility effects and/or healing and buffing/debuffing effect (I can't be bothered to explain anything, so find someone that can explain if you don't understand that!). Damage classes deal the best damage. Tank classes can handle taking hits better and are more adept at protecting allies. To get your class, go the clerks. You can pick one yourself or they can recommend one for you. But be careful, you can't change it later! Don't worry though, there's a lot of paperwork so while filling it up you can rethink your decision several times over.
Leveling up is a process of growth of the body. Bodies in this world, including your own, don't so much grow simply incrementally, but they do in stages. Think of it like accumlating points to get something for free at the supermarket. When you level up, you a get a bundle of new skills, as well as new stat points and increased mana and vitality values. Stat points define your relatively power at something. It's important to understand that it is "relative". Anything with a bigger strength stat will be able to beat something else with a lower strength stat in a competition of strength, nomatter what. The difference between the numbers only affects how big that difference is.
Strength is the stat that commands one's physical brute strength, from punching someone to lifting something. Agility is your flexbility and your combat maneuverability, things like moving in certain angles, or moving fast in uncertain terrain. Stamina is how much energy you have and your ability to take damage, you can take more of a beating and still stand (it will keep hurting the same though) and you can fight for longer periods of time. Haste is your short term speed, you can dash towards a neabry enemy and be the first to hit them, or use your innate reflexes to dodge attacks. Magic affinity makes spells easier to cast, meaning you get less tired and in some cases even spend less mana to use the same spells, but more importantly, a skill's overlal power escalates with magic affinity. With more aim stat, your eyes become better and your aiming more steady, making it possible to hit targets with more precision even if they are far away or if you are, say, running around or getting attacked yourself. Senses are a weird one, cause sometimes it manifests as just one sense that gets a lot better (like your sense of smell improving a lot) and other times by all of your senses increasing just a little.
Lastly, let's talk about mana. Mana is a form of element in all life in this world, which opens the gate between the real and the unreal. Leaving complicated matters aside, basically while mana isn't your body's energy it is tied to it in such a way that the proportion of mana you spend will most likely tire you just as much. Use too much magic and you could pass out. Exceed your limits, and you could die.
7.What if I fall in love with the evil wizard (or vice-versa)?
Don't be fooled! The evil wizard is the evil wizard. Of course, it's ok to have feelings for someone even if they are evil. It will be a super-duper romantic, tragic love, where you have your love, and then you have your duty, but you must defeat them nonetheless for the good of the land! Even if you fall in love, you HAVE to beat the evil wizard, no mercy allowed!
8.Why can't the kingdoms just handle their own problems? Couldn't they at least send someone higher level?
The kingdoms are sworn enemies, none can afford to send military forces to combat the evil wizard. Plus even if they did, the military would probably fail. They always fail, they are the military. For the same reason, they don't want to loose their most powerful assets either. There are also two more reasons but-
Not to worry though! They'll be sending your groups accompanied by several very competent fighters, ourselves included! We will help you train for a while before you go to face the evil wizard!
9.What if I fall in love with the evil wizard but they are a 10000 year old loli?
Unnaceptable.
10.What if a beautiful elven princess falls in love with me?
Your love shall transcend all prejudice! Your love shall become the union of rich and poor, human and elf, the romantic endeavors that you may have [redacted]
11.What do I get out of helping out?
As the king will tell you, you get one wish. Of course, the king is not all powerful, and he did get these advisors to do some wordplay last time, like lawyers or something, to cheat more extravagant requests. Make sure you give it a really good thinking about what you want. I want to hear those super-emotional climatic wishes you make when you get back!
12.They mentioned something about groups
Well, yes. You will not all be going as one unit, but rather as several adventurer groups, each accompanied by a different set of heroes to guide them at first. Only the best groups will be actually sent to fight the evil wizard, but there will be plenty of competition along the way.
13.What if I fall in love with a party member?
Go for it! The love between you two shall spice up your adventures and strengthen the resolve of your party!
14.What if a big meanie tells you that there's already too many questions and you should start getting to the point and not adding more junk, not realizing the importance of romance in a fantasy adventure?
You should just ignore them! Such people don't understand anything!
15.What if a certain idiot old hag can't keep her shipping to herself and keeps bothering newcomers about silly, unecessary things?
16.What if...
By orders of the king, the remaining content of this guide was removed, totalling 32 and a half pages.
