QnLWyik.jpg
  • Bonnie Blaze
    Titles:
Offworlder, Fae [Mundane], Tinkerer Apprentice, Gunslinger, Attentive Student F

Bonnie, feeling a nod of approval for her earlier fiery display, couldn't help but smirk as the dance of flames snuffed out on the targets. She sauntered toward the Mirror Trial, where her own image awaited, replicating her shot with eerie precision.

With a confident grin, she accepted the challenge, swiftly drawing her other pistol, Whisper. Her quick draw, as she'd say, was the fastest in the west, or at least close enough. In this showdown, speed was of the essence.

As the mirror image of herself fired a fiery shot, Bonnie's response was immediate, just as it had to be in such shootouts. She may be cocky, but she wasn't foolish enough to stand still. Dodging sideways with slick hands and quick feet, she pulled out Whisper and fired a trick shot. Her precise aim sought to intercept the fiery round head-on before it could reach her. It was a test of her own skill against herself, and Bonnie was determined to prove she was the better shot.

    Summary:
    1. Bonnie immediately responds with a quick draw dodge ability called Slick Sidewinder F [3 Actions]
    Grade F - 0 Post Cooldown

Components: Fast F, Energized F, Steady Hands F, Weapon Mastery [Firearms] (Accurate, Blight [Piercing], Blind Ranged Fighting, Deflect, Knockback, Homing, Penetrating, Range [10 Feet]), Whisper F

Description: Employing her lightning-fast quick draw, slick reflexes, and fast feet, Bonnie moves sides way and with a flick of her wrist, fires to intercept an incoming attack with unwavering accuracy.

Whilst things hadn't gone exactly according to plan, he was still standing and he'd been granted permission to proceed. The net result was favourable enough.

That said, when he entered the path towards the arena, he was shocked to see one person had fallen and the beast from before was apparently facing off against something. He'd try to rush over to them then turn so his back would face the Tanuki. He was pretty sure he'd seen the effectiveness of back-to-back stuff in movies in his previous life. Perhaps it'd also work in the reality of this life. “What happened?” He'd ask, as his eyes would try scan the dark surrounding them with all his available senses [Appraisal F, Sixth Sense [Spirits] F, Focus F], hoping to spot what had happened and anticipate what might be inbound enxt.

TLDR Squink does not give in to Squink and averts her gaze, tries to distract herself with other things as she tries to step out of range of effectiveness
Mentions: Novama Novama Stanley Stanley

Squink blinked twice in surprise even though she knew what was to be expected when one looked into a mirror. Knowing that this time she didn't want to be held back any further based on her own mistakes, she awaited to see whatever her reflection would decide to throw at her so that she could try to think quickly on how to solve the problem.

She wasn't much used to being charmed, so it was a strange moment to realise that her own reflection was trying to beguile her.
"Mmh! No! You are very cute, b-but... " Squink stuttered to herself, talking like her reflection was a genuine whole second Squink trying to get her attention from behind the pane as she focused her attention to look at someone else. Hearing a voice with a unique accent that was high in spirits, she immediately swung her gaze in the direction of Bonnie in order to do some rude intrusions of sensing her feelings to try to distract herself from Squink #2. Hopefully, the upbeat thoughts of someone else entering her mind could clash with the seductive enticements directed into her mind by another.

In order to make sure that her efforts would work, she chose to acknowledge that the mirrored self may possess her own limits and just decided to back away from the mirror to avoid the range of its capabilities and levels of distraction. If she could be kept free from the effect to get away, it wasn't like the mirror was going to follow also. She could've tried to convince someone to help protect her from herself, but she wasn't entirely sure that Squink #2 couldn't try to convince them also. That and she didn't want another Squink to get hurt or be upset, even if it was a mirrored version.

Actions
1. Use Mediate on Bonnie to keep Squink's mind distracted/busy with more confident thoughts to help avoid being charmed. Mediate: Telepathy (F) + Empathy (F) - Helps understand and detect negative thoughts of a target (F Grade) (0 Post Cooldown)
2. Look anywhere else, do not look at the Squink #2, for she tempteth you sinfully.
3. Just start backing up and try to leave range of it.

Glacier

Glacier.gif

Glacier needed to come up with a plan. More specifically, a fast plan, in about one or two seconds.

While he was relatively nimble for being made of heavy ice, even speed did not seem enough in the circumstances. With the assault of Glacier's mirrored minions closing in, there was only one good defense within his capability. Immediately howling, Glacier wasted no time, shoving as much mana into the formation of his minions as possible[1].

The five foxes of ice that appeared formed a shield in front of him, facing their mirrors, as well as Glacier's own mirror. No longer able to move for the moment, due to the energy drain of the ability, Glacier could only hope that they'd hold the attack off.

Action [1]: Used Defensive Ability [Foxes of Ice: Rapid Guard F]

F Grade Cooldown: 0/0

  • Speed E
  • [Light Natural Armor] Ice F - Glacier's body of magically enhanced ice acts as a hard -though somewhat brittle- armor.
  • Foxes of Ice: Rapid Guard F - Magic F, Minions [Foxes of Ice] F - Glacier howls, creating up to a total 5 Foxes of Ice to act as his minions, which he can give orders to. The Foxes of Ice will crumble and dissipate by the next post, unless this ability is activated repeatedly; in which case, those still present remain and those destroyed get replaced. In this case, Glacier uses the minions to take the brunt of an attack in his place. - Grade F - 0 Post Cooldown

Foxes of Ice

Foxes of Ice.gif
The Foxes of Ice would face the incoming assailants with a counterattack, biting at the opposing minions and mirrored Glacier, while standing in their path to the real Glacier[A1].

  • Strength E
  • [Natural Weapons] Body of Ice F - The Foxes of Ice can hit, stab, and/or bite opponents with their legs, tails, muzzles, and jaws, all of which are solid ice.
  • [Light Natural Armor] Ice F - The Foxes of Ices' bodies of magically enhanced ice act as a hard -though somewhat brittle- armor.
  • Frost-Bite - [Natural Weapons] F, Continuing F - The Fox of Ice in question attempts to bite it's opponent, severely freezing the area of injury. - Grade F - 0 Post Cooldown

As Eris was allowed to progress through the next trial with the mirrors. Stepping into the next area she saw that the mirror created an alter ego that was identical to Eris or at least from what she could see. She cocked her head to the right a little as she tightened her grip on her staff as she took a deep breath. Well, I suppose I should expect that copy to have all of my abilities and some of the others that I came in with. She thought to herself before locking her eyes with the alter ego having mentally prepared herself Eris brushed some loose hair out of her face and then struck the ground three times.

"Book of Icarus verse 16-20, in the beginning, there was nothing, weary travelers rest upon my gentle light. The faithful shall never want for protection, for I am the church and maker of holy ground. The foundation is my very soul; I consecrate this ground!” Eris recited as she the barrier took its form of that of a church centered 10ft from the target. Eris moved toward the edge of the barrier. "Book of Icarus verse 9-11, Be my weapon and deliver those to the light for I command you. Take up arms and bet he bear of my holy weapon!" As the divine energy was channeled through the quarter staff a maul made of divine magic took form and she swung it toward the alter ego.

Shere
Character Grade F - [Martial Artist]

Shere and his doppleganger, still locked in blow and parry, stance and counterstance, exchanged a knowing glance. It was a look of mutual respect and understanding, common currency between those who recognize another skilled in their field. The fact that he was acknowledging himself only made it ever so slightly weird and barely crossed his mind, though it did make him crack a smile. The fighters separated cleanly, each taking up a new guard and readying new attacks in a show of both combative awareness and further respect, and then Shere was alone again. That was enough, it seemed.

That same kind of awareness remained as he was pushed on towards the next step of the trials. Part of it was luck of the draw that he hadn't been the first to move on ahead, it made him wonder why he could seemingly neither see nor hear the two that had already gone on past him. Easy to miss they were not. Elandril's warning still fresh, he wondered whether he would be attacked head-on or through some manner of trickery, but an enemy he expected either way. Still, the call of the arena was ever so sweet to him, warming his blood, drawing him forth.

Awareness. He took a moment at the edge of the hallway, took a deep breath to refocus and sharpened his senses as best he could.

ACTIONS:

Gyld was acknowledged by Master Elandril and his persistence was commended. He, too, would be permitted to face his mirrored self in the Mirror Trial.

Gyld, absorbing the words of Master Elandril, gazed into the dimly lit hallway leading to the arena. The hushed ambiance of the corridor contrasted with the imminent confrontation lurking in the shadows. He breathed in, sensing the approaching clash with his mirrored self.

A flash of realization sparked within Gyld. The true nature of the trial lay not in demonstrating power but in overcoming oneself. He knew that to succeed, he had to embrace both his past and present, merging his Northern essence with the vitality of the Eternal Glade.

Closing his eyes, Gyld summoned the heart of the White Bear of the North. Ice and frost melded with verdant essence, creating a harmonious blend of North and Glade. Gyld could feel his form changing, growing larger, his body fortified with the strength and resilience of the bear.

His new form, the Icy Bear, was a seamless integration of his Northern roots and his connection to the Eternal Glade. His large, powerful frame, covered in a blend of frosty fur and leaves, could stride effortlessly through any forest terrain. The energy of the Glade pulsated within him, granting him enhanced regeneration and an acute sixth sense connected to the forest realm and plant essence.

He could feel the surge of power within him, the strength of a D grade coupled with natural heavy armor and super strength skill allowing him to withstand and deliver blows of significant impact. His new form held a majestic presence, a symbol of unity between the frozen North and the evergreen Glade.

Gyld contemplated his new powers and abilities. He would be resilient and robust, with the capability to regenerate swiftly from any injuries. His large, imposing form would serve as both armor and weapon, his claws and teeth honed and ready. He felt a balanced harmony between strength and resilience, a cohesive blend of his experiences and his newly acquired domain ability.

He knew that his transformed state would offer him a potent advantage in the upcoming confrontation. His inherent vitality and the enhancements from his transformation would render him a formidable adversary to his mirrored self. The harmonious amalgamation of his abilities reflected his journey of growth and integration, a testament to his evolving connection to the realms he has traversed.

His gaze fixed on the faint glow at the end of the hallway, Gyld, now the Icy Bear Form, stepped forward. His every step resonated with a newfound sense of purpose and unity, his spirit intertwined with the essence of the North and the Eternal Glade. The arena awaited him, and within it, the opportunity to confront and overcome his mirrored self, a step closer to becoming a true legend within the Adventurer's Guild.

Note, original skill attack vs dummies was intended for a medium sized creature and now he is large, so it might invalidate it as is or entangling a large creature might have a penalty to the entangle skill?

Defense is calculated as: [Mighty Bear Tank F] as his e-grade skill is bound with the domain. Strength D (3) and Natural Heavy Armor E (2) coupled with his Super Strength skill F should give him slightly better odds tanking the damage.

By my calculation: He is opposing an effectiveness 8 attack from the mirror. [Mighty Bear Tank F] is effectiveness 6. Large size might serve as a "combo" bonus. He also has 1 more action after Domain Transform E and [Mighty Bear Tank F], which he'll use his basic Magic F (Energized F, Compontentless Magic F) for another +1. So he should defend with 7-8 effectiveness. Then he'll use Regen F out of combat to heal back up.

Note: All abilities listed here use Gyld's Nature Domain (Eternal Glade):
-- Grade E; Effectiveness 8 (Magic E2, Componentless Magic E2, Intelligence C4) Cooldown 0;
--E-grade ((Range: 30ft & Duration: 1 hour; Targets: 5 | AOE: 15ft radius))

  • Regenerate F - Regenerate damage and lost body parts in 6 rounds.
  • Resilient F - Forest and Plant-based Plane
  • Sixth Sense F: Forest Realm and Plant Essence
Size Change Size F: Large (35pts)
  • Large - These are creatures that are around 8 feet to 16 feet tall/long and weighing between 500lbs and 2 tons. they can generally still squeeze into sturdy doorways and halls meant for smaller creatures with comedic effect, but tend to prefer dwellings and wilderness that are more open.
  • Strength - D Grade
  • Vitality - D Grade
  • Super Strength skill - E grade - 600lbs (average grizzly bear)
  • Feature: Large skill - E grade - Grants character natural E grade heavy armor in equipment
  • Natural Weapons - E grade - Claws and Teeth.

Rios
Mentions:

Rios could tell you the exact sensations he felt the moment his back hit the floor. His mirror opponent had managed to get a good shot in, knocking the youth into the air. A brief but very deep but shot through his entire spinal column. The thing might have snapped if not for all the push ups, squats and juice he powered through on a regular basis between his adventures. Coughing and wheezing for a bit while bringing himself back onto his own two feet. Rios acknowledged that although he had passed this stage of the trial. He couldn't really count this as a win in regards to his battle with the other Rios. The Proctor for this exam had instructed him to move along a dark hallway towards what had been described to him as an Arena. He was likely to battle real opponents within such a battleground. No doubt his limited skill set would be put to the test. Clicking his neck back and forth. Rios took his first step into the ominous dark corridor. His brain felt oddly bigger for some reason so he deduced the hallway to either have shadowy monsters dwelling within or some kind of illusion cast upon it. Placing his gloved hand on the wall and slowly walking forward with his eyes facing forward. A cautious Rios kept his wits about him while moving down the hall. Taking deep breaths and exhaling as silently as he could. Rios felt something tug on his free hand. Assuming this to be one of the possible shadow monsters offering to hold his hand. The uncertain Rios held on to the unseen force. Although there were still people doing things back in the previous room. Rios couldn't really hear anything on his end, likely due to the creepy corridor.

Seth's brief battle lust quickly wore down as he saw his gambit paying off and his reflection dissipate. He almost let out a sigh of disappointment. Even though he was glad the Master had granted approval, the opportunity to cut loose against a foe who was both his exact level and whose wounding would matter was rare indeed. Still, he didn't voice any complaints as he crouched to take his spear, which appeared unharmed.

The mercenary's gaze swooped once more across the room, observing his fellow adventurer's attempts. It was interesting to see how many walks of life were attracted to this kind of lifestyle. Seth noticed all kind of approaches again, from full-on offensives not unlike his to more measured, careful attempts. Likewise, the personalities and attitudes around him were varied as could be. Arrogance and humility, curiosity, kindness and ruthless determination. Each of them a flame and, hopefully, a legend in the making.

With a last, irrepressible grin hidden by his helm, Seth set off towards the shaded pathway that had opened, standing near the entrance before addressing the poised, black haired man who he had seen fighting before. “Greetings, warrior! I know we are in the midst of a test, but I must say, your abilities are impressive, and I wished to pay my respects.” The armored man nodded respectfully to the martial artist, but his tone was cheerful. “My name is Seth. It is an honor to meet you, Mister…?” He let the question hang in the air, waiting for an answer.

Though he was making small talk, his eyes never left the shadowed doorway [1], which, to be quite honest, gave him a bad feeling. Probably paranoia.

Yukan, with his senses heightened, looked around, his gaze piercing through the darkness, but found no enemy. His precise attacks sliced through the silent air, leaving him uncertain whether they had any effect. A wave of debilitating nausea washed over him, sapping his strength and leaving him weakened, a lone warrior with only a sliver of his strength remaining. (1hp damage. 1hp remaining)

Bonnie, with her nimble fingers and sharp aim, released a flurry of shots, causing the fiery round aimed at her to erupt prematurely. The flames danced backward, dissipating into the shadows. Master Elandril, with a nod of approval, commended her skills and gestured towards the shadowy corridor leading to the next trial.

Meanwhile, Deliverance succumbed to a sudden, overwhelming sickness, collapsing unconscious, fallen fellow test taker Sasuke, his vitality drained to its last. (another 1hp damage. 0hp remaining. Rper may choose to retire from training now or hold out hope another test taker will be able to revive them.)

Squink, with her resilience, managed to resist the alluring seduction cast upon her by her own mirrored form. As her copy faded into the ethereal, Master Elandril acknowledged her inner strength and directed her toward the next challenge in the arena beyond the dark hall.

Glacier, in an icy duel of mirrored forces, saw his defenses shattered, his magical core damaged, cracks webbing across his form. He stood, a fragile remnant of his former self, allowed to proceed to the dark hall by the worried eyes of Master Elandril. (inner catalyst is destroyed. 1hp damage. 1hp remaining)

Eris, whose earlier display of divine magic had illuminated the hall, found herself struggling against her mirrored adversary, defenseless against the blinding light that enveloped her. The aftermath left her weakened and possibly wounded, a beacon of resilience in the radiant aftermath. Master Elandril approached cautiously, ensuring her breath still fogged the air before allowing her to continue. (can't move and cast in same post. Destroyed catalyst. 2hp damage. 2hp remaining)

Shere and Seth, peering into the shadow-laden hallway, sensed the malevolent energy lurking within, a manifestation of the darkest emotions, threatening to consume the vitality of those who dared to traverse its path. The hallway could prove surprisingly tricky to navigate and guarunteed to be dangerous.

Gyld, as it confronted its mirrored clone, was suddenly surrounded by an ethereal mist. From beneath Gyld sparkling glass and crystal vines seeking to bind him sprang forth. Gyld would need to defend himself or face the consequences. (E attack +2)

Rios, traversing the ominous hallway, was struck by a profound wave of nausea, his body reacting violently to the unseen force. The shadows around him whispered secrets, making it hard to distinguish his companions in the enveloping darkness. Yukan's darkvision spared Rios from an untimely skewering. (1hp damage. 2hp remaining. Showing signs of damage and fatigue)

You did your best Sasuke, I respect you for making it this far. Yukan thought to himself after hearing the words.

While Yukan had been glad to see the new ally come along and take a strategic stance by his back.

"We were struck from the darkness, even with my sight I could not see a foe who did the deed.." Yukan managed to get out for Deliverance's question.

What he hadn't been expecting and what was less good when he felt the wave of nausea take hold of him. Despite this incredibly uncomfortable sensation he tried his best to grip his Yari, gritting his teeth. Then he saw the one who had join him slump over as he looked to him.

"Hey stay with me!" He'd try to say in common, but it was no use, now he had two people at his feet. Yukan was in a dire situation, he could try to flee back down the hall and get out of this mess, but that would leave these two who had just tried their best to support him. His resolve held strong even when he felt awful like this, needing all of his energy to just keep on his feet and not succumb to whatever else was here. He knew instinctually that he wasn't going to take another hit like he did earlier and manage so for now he looked diligently around the space, taking a defensive stance over the two fallen. At the very least he'd try his best to protect them until the others came.

Presumably if Yukan had been able to warn Rios with his Darkvision then that meant he was close by and in view so, instead of turning to him once again to speak Yukan stayed diligent looking around his environment trying his best to exude [Triad Allied Leader] to the best of his ability as he said to Rios, With the ability Follow the Leader (Operating in Darkness Edition)

"You there, watch out, my comrades have been struck down by an unseen force in this area, I'm sure you just felt that too, One after the other they lost consciousness, Let us work together to help protect them and preserve each other for the remainder of this trial, If I get hit again I believe I'll be joining them, so do with that information as you will."

Yukan slowly moved himself away from the two unconscious ones closer to Rios toward the entrance looking around his environment as he did so, still gripping his Yari, knowing full well that he didn't exactly need to be directly over the bodies, He could strike his best with his reach if they were actually 5 ft away from him or more so he moved toward Rios 6 ft, still facing the bodies, ready to strike if anything made itself known again.

1. Attempt to use Ability Follow the Leader (Operating in Darkness Edition) to warn and instruct Rios for further action.

SASUKE BLACKHEART
Standing [F Grade Character] Titles [Construct, Homunculus, Visitor] Point Booster [Narrative Booster F]
In the realm of unconsciousness, Sasuke found himself in a dream that was as beguiling as it was perplexing. He awoke to find himself surrounded by a bevy of stunningly beautiful women, each hailing from various fantasy races. They gazed at him with eyes that promised comfort and pleasure, their seductive smiles almost impossible to resist.

"Relax, dear Sasuke," they purred in unison, their voices a melodious symphony. "Stay with us, and all your desires shall be fulfilled."

Sasuke's heart raced, his cheeks flushing with an embarrassing warmth as he beheld these enchanting beings. Their allure was undeniable, and he couldn't help but be captivated by their feminine charms. But somewhere deep within his consciousness, a voice of reason cried out.

"No," Sasuke declared, his voice trembling as he tried to resist the temptation that surrounded him. "I won't give in to my primal desires."

The women, still wearing their enchanting smiles, began to inch closer, their ethereal beauty intensifying. They were the embodiment of allure, of temptation, but Sasuke knew there was more to this dream than met the eye.

"These temptations," he mused internally, "they represent failure and defeat. I must resist."

With newfound determination, Sasuke pushed away the seductive thoughts that threatened to engulf him. He had a world to save, a destiny to fulfill, and he couldn't allow himself to be ensnared by these illusory pleasures.

The women's smiles faltered for a moment, their ethereal beauty dimming. But they persisted, their allure undiminished, as they continued their persuasive efforts. Sasuke, however, remained resolute, a blush still staining his cheeks as he resisted the siren call of his desires.

The dream hung in the balance, a subtle blend of comedy and drama, as Sasuke continued to grapple with the temptations that sought to divert him from his path of purpose and heroism.

"I will not concede! I will never surrender!" he exclaimed while fair hands and alluring scents wrapped around his body.

Shere
Character Grade F - [Martial Artist]

Seth's words snapped Shere out of that kind of buzz that the prospect of a challenge brought to him. Yes, risk and glory lay ahead, but that was no reason to be rude. "Ah thank you kindly, but there's no need for that! We're all the same here, I am just Shere." He turned away from the hallway, raising a fist cupped in his hand as a greeting and sign of respect, he smiled and answered back in good spirits as well. "If I may be honest, I was too absorbed in my test to see much of what anyone else was doing, haha! But it is good to take a step back and get some perspective."

He waved into the tunnel, where other participants seemed to be vanishing from sight and without a sound at that. "You feel...whatever that is in there as well, correct? We should be able to see and hear the people going on ahead, and yet, nothing." He stood still for a moment, cupping his chin in thought, before finally walking off to a nearby wall sporting torches mounted on ring sconces. He figured those were more for mood and decoration than contributing much to the lighting of the hall, and so surely no one would mind if he just took them. So he did, handing one to Seth.

"Well then, no use trying to think too hard about the unknown, lets go shed some light. You watch my back and I'll watch yours? I don't need sight to fight so allow me to take point." He advanced with steady, certain steps, not too tentative but well on alert, making sure Seth could walk back-to-back with him so their torches would mark their coming and either could alert the other of anything they might come across. And still he strained all his senses to spot the threat, the rest of the adventurers or both. For the moment, he did not call out.

Rios once again found himself flying into the air before landing on his back. It would appear whatever shadowy forces had attempted to take hold of him weren't friendly at all. If not for the warnings of his new Bear Ally. Rios might not have had the full understanding of what was going on. His training sword was lost in the ambush so he was left without a weapon for the time being. Naturally Rios had no formal training in unarmed combat. He had seen the old martial artists of his home perform both elaborate techniques and simple strings of moves with equally devastating effect. Now it was on him to try and make something of what he vaguely remembered seeing. Rising to his feet and doing his best to ignore the aching in his bones. Rios could tell he wasn't in the best of shape after all he had been through. No matter how strong he was in the moment. Damage would pile up if he kept pushing himself. Gritting his teeth and bearing with the soreness in his spine. A resolute Rios adopted a completely amateur stance. Taking in quiet but labored breaths. Rios flexed his muscles until his veins popped. He could feel it, the temptation to just pass out. The exam was almost over and although it was hard; he'd done his best. Their proctor probably wouldn't blame Rios if he slumped over at a time like this. Yet the issue was that RIOS would blame Rios. He wanted to be an adventurer more than anything. The power to battle dangerous monsters, the freedom to pursue legendary treasures and the drive to discover the unknown. Giving up now was understandable but Rios chose to persevere. Clenching his fist and taking a step forward. His current target was the shadowy entity in this corridor. The shadowy voices tried to whisper sweet nothings into his ear but Rios chose to trust in his [Lucky D] to see him through. Raising his leg in the air, Rios put his faith in his luck to see his axe kick through.

I'm not too big on formality, either.” he answered with a pleased nod and a grin that, though hidden by his helm's visor, could be heard in his tone. “Charmed to meet you.” Seth considered the martial artist's words, head cocking in thought. “Ha! I would say you are right twice over, then. Your focus during the trials speaks to your credit, but the willingness to stop and analyze the situation is invaluable to any warrior!”

After that, he turned his eyes once again to the shaded portal. There was something about that darkness framed by carved stone that gave him the creeps, something felt unnatural about this place. “Yes, I do feel it… This path is truly unsettling. Not a mere corridor to our next trial, but probably the third test instead.” His gaze followed the other warrior steps, and he nodded with approval. It was wise to acquire a source of light before venturing in. Seth gratefully accepted the offered torch, grabbing it before squaring off with a deep breath and falling in with Shere's measured strides [1]. “I would be honored to watch your back.”

Back to back, eyes peeled and scanning his surroundings to prevent anything from getting the drop on them [2]. His spear was poised to strike in his left hand, and the torch raised in his right.

Into the dark they went.

As Eris picked herself off the floor she winced in pain as she looked around for her quarter staff but to no avail. Letting out a small sigh she gripped her right arm and closed her eyes for a moment as her vision slowly started to clear up. Not doing that again any time soon. She thought to herself as she made her way toward the dark hallway that was now in front of her. She examined her robes though they didn't seem like they had taken too much damage if any at all. Thinking back to the attack that was unleashed she realized she should have just kept her barrier up and let the attack smack against it.

Taking a deep breath, she took a step into the darkness trusting her robes [
Fae robes of light [heavy armor] D] would at least light the way. "Goddess Holfeel may your light shine even in the darkest of depths." She paused for a moment as she realized no one had said anything about not teaming up. "Anyone who can still fight come to the sound of my voice, I believe it would be best to not do this on our own!" She shouted continuing forward, if she happened to run into anyone that was down she would then simply kneel next to them use Healing F and energizer F and then continue on her way.

Bonnie, her confidence undaunted by the trials thus far, continued to impress with her skill. Her nimble fingers and sharp aim sent a flurry of shots that prematurely extinguished the fiery round aimed at her, making the flames dance backward into the shadows. Master Elandril nodded in approval, recognizing her prowess.

As Elandril unveiled the next stage, Bonnie's curiosity was piqued. Venturing into the guild hall's arena through the dimly lit hallway, she couldn't help but notice the faint glow at the corridor's end, hinting at grandeur beyond. Elandril's cautionary words reminded her that the challenges ahead might be more than they seemed.

Bonnie, ever vigilant and aware that there might be more to come, waited for others to make their move. It was when Eris called out for allies that Bonnie decided it was time to step forward. With Peacekeeper in hand, she addressed Eris and shouted, "Hold up, lady. I'm comin' with ya." With her finger on the trigger, Bonnie was prepared to confront whatever challenges lay ahead, her outlaw spirit unshaken.

Bonnie follows Eris and keeps her guard up, her finger ready to pull the trigger.

While Glacier's minions managed to hold off his mirror's minions, the mirror itself had an opening to strike him. Having expended the moment's energy to form the minions, Glacier could only brace himself for the jab. That proved little assistance, however, as the attack cracked his form, and struck right to his core; the bright blue sphere gave out an almost blinding flash, before quickly dimming below it's typical light level.

As Glacier's mirror vanished, he struggled to stand upright. The core was not only his natural catalyst, but the center of his physical form; it pulsed painfully, broken, on top of the already unpleasant cracks in his ice. However, the trial was unfortunately not over, so Glacier walked away from the mirrors and towards the hallway. Though as he was preparing himself to enter, he heard Eris call out a sort of rally, which Glacier was more than eager to join.

Glacier approached the priest, as well as the woman who joined her.
"I must agree... that approaching the third trial together... would be... wise." He found that his already methodical speech was made even more intervallic from the strain of damage. "I would like... to join you... if that is alright."[1]

Being blessed with the fact that she managed to clear the second trial in only one attempt, she was more in a mood to tackle the final challenge before she was granted with the sight of the dark hallway. Having no idea what could be awaiting her inside, she couldn't help but overhear the sound of another asking for others to join them within the spooky hall. She took sight of Eris and decided to join along with Bonnie in Glacier in wanting to form a little group.

"I'd also be interested in coming along, if that's alright... " Squink asked, not willing to immediately speak on the fact she may not prove as useful as anyone else present. In her own mind, she was wondering where her blonde friend with the pretty hat went off to since they did not get to continue their little conversation. Supposing that perhaps she would encounter him again after the entire thing was over, she just hoped that with the support of those around her they would be able to tackle the problem that awaited them. Hopefully it was something that she could ask nicely to not harm her and let her go. At least the other two standout people alongside Eris also seemed powerful with technology and magic respectively.

Yukan, amid the echoing silence, was suddenly jolted by a violent explosion, his body hurled against the tunnel wall before collapsing in a heap, a silent figure in the encompassing shadows, or was it..(1hp damage, 0hp remaining. Rper may choose to retire from training now or hold out hope another test taker will be able to revive them.)

Shere's path was revealed by flickers of torchlight, the dim glow unveiling the forms of Yukan, Deliverance, and Sasuke, with Rios standing like a silent guardian nearby. The tunnel was again shaken by a tumultuous boom of energy, catapulting Shere into a dance of pain and resilience, his body enduring the assault. (1hp damage, 2hp remaining)

Rios, in his determined stance, found his axe kick falling into the void, his efforts seemingly in vain. He, too, became a puppet in the violent symphony of thunderous booms, his form crashing into the solid embrace of the wall. (1hp damage, 1hp remaining)

Seth, a companion in Shere’s efforts, experienced the same explosive fate, his body colliding with the harsh surface of the tunnel wall, whispering tales of pain and endurance. (1hp damage, 2hp remaining)

Eris, the bearer of brilliant equipment, traversed the illuminated path to find the others ensnared in this malevolent hallway. She, a beacon of healing light, breathed life into the fallen figures before another catastrophic boom claimed them all, tossing them around like forgotten dolls. (1hp damage, 1hp remaining)

Deliverance, Yukan, and Sasuke barely tasted the sweet nectar of consciousness from Eris’s healing touch before the devastating explosion rendered them once again into the world of shadows, their bodies twisted with shattered bones and wounded heads. (significant heal required to be brought back now)

Bonnie, entering the tunnel in the footsteps of Eris, found herself a silent companion to the priestess, her consciousness enveloped in shadows as her body collided with the unforgiving wall after suffering the thunderous boom that bounced everyone else. (1hp damage, 0hp remaning, Rper may choose to retire from training now or hold out hope another test taker will be able to revive them.)

Glacier, the ice fox, became a symphony of shattered ice, his body succumbing to the relentless thunderous assault, collapsing into a frozen silhouette. (1hp damage, 0hp remaining, Rper may choose to retire from training now or hold out hope another test taker will be able to revive them.)

Squink, the mysterious ilithid, endured the violent embrace of the thunderous boom, her being a mystery that was surprisingly resilient under the circumstances. (1hp damage, 1hp remaining)

Gyld, a manifestation of formidable strength and magic, found himself in a silent duel with his mirrored self, a dance of nature’s magic and crystalline suffering. The mirror dust whispered its song of decay, reverting Gyld to his primal form, a silent figure in a pool of his own rotting juices at the foot of the mirror trial. (11hp damage, 0hp remaining, Rper may choose to retire from training now or hold out hope another test taker will be able to revive them.)

Yukan had watched Rios make his move. He could tell this one was less perhaps less experienced in combat, but he found it commendable that he still decided to join Yukan in the space after hearing what he told him about the others being downed, there was Sasuke and Deliverance too who had no qualms about entering the obviously dangerous space. Yukan found this all very commendable. He would have used his ability to advise the group more but they had fallen faster and faster. It seemed that whatever thing or thing(s) for the test had been attacking them had only amped up further. At this moment nobody had in a literal sense 'beaten' the third trial. Whatever this endeavor was, Yukan had a strong resolve, he was going to do absolutely everything in his power to protect his fallen allies regardless of how dangerous the threat was, even if it meant he would join them, Yukan would rather that than leave them behind for his own well being. Perhaps he should have waited for the others to take it on, but with Sasuke at his side..he thought it would have been adequate, having no idea it would be something so powerful to overcome.

That was why when he found a flash before he slammed into the wall, while it was surprising it was something, an outcome which he had been willing to accept the whole time. At the very least he had put forth his best effort to protect them even if everything faded away now, no matter how hard he fought for consciousness this was it, he just couldn't hold on..he just hoped that Rios could. get out of there safely, lest he suffer the same fate. Then Yukan found himself..waking up if abeit briefly which he croaked out disorientated,

"Save..yourselves" with very little energy, his ears ringing before another boom took place and once again he was cast into the darkness now severely injured and out of commission even worse.

"Common" "<Beastial>" "[Analog]" 'Thoughts'

Glacier walked along with the group into the hallway, hoping that sticking together would ward off any potential danger. Evidently, that must have failed, for he barely had the time to process the explosion, before it felt like he himself exploded.

Chunks of his form breaking off, previous cracks shattering to even worse states, and new ones forming, Glacier fell to the ground with a hard thud. His core dimmed further, to the point where it's glow was barely visible. 'It seems... that my capabilities... were inadequate for the trial...' Glacier thought, before his consciousness melted away.

Squink wasn't prepared at all to be hit by the thunderous boom that clearly affected everyone else too without an opportunity to react. Whining softly to herself as she picked herself up off the floor and looked to those who were managing to remain standing against such difficult odds. She wasn't a fighter along the likes of anyone else and couldn't risk being struck again. Staring into the dark hallway's remaining length, considering for how injured everyone was she was starting to believe that it wasn't for just merely anyone to be able to see the other side. Squink's own capabilities were at the most only effective when others were around, but being in proximity to everyone else at this point was too much of a cause for concern.

"I can't do much to help those hurt, but I'm not going to be able to reach the end. I wouldn't ever desire to leave anyone to something that would hurt them or leave people behind, and I'm impressed by everyone's determination, but if this were reality, it would be more hurtful to those left with the aftermath by the fact there may be no survivors. This is simply a trial, I can trust that you'll all be fine, since the Proctor would know about it and be able to help" Squink answered as she looked back in the direction from the way they had came, knowing that she had passed through before and may be able to go back rather than suffering pain or humility through failure.

"For those who are still here and standing, you don't have any reason to listen to me, but I'd suggest that maybe you consider doing the same. If you're going to push your own life so hard for a practice scenario, maybe it's not worth believing your ready for the real thing for your own safety. Other people can't rely on you if you can't even take care of yourself" Squink spoke in attempt to convince others that it wasn't worth it.

She faced the last standing members as she offered her own plan, only if people were willing to listen.
"Friends who are stronger in body and heart, you still have the ability to save those who have not fallen, is it not better worth protecting what you have rather than forcing for what you don't?" she asked of Seth and Shere as she turned her attention to Eris and Rios.
"I admire your attempts with your own capabilities, but time is running short. Escape with your own remaining strength and remember what you've learned for another day" Squink said as she hesitantly looked at Rios.
"M-maybe remember that you can't kick the darkness next time too" she added softly.

"I won't say that you have to follow my choice, but I'm not going the rest of the way. I passed the first and second trial, and if I've atleast seen the third trial and can still stand then it's good enough for me. Good luck to those who are going to push forward, and sorry for leaving the fallen so that I may turn tail and run, but if this was true danger I would've only left to come back with those who knew how to help when I don't" Squink said as she gave a nod and small salute with one of her tentacles to the fallen and still standing, accepting that her own limits wouldn't be enough as she chose to turn and run.

Shere
Character Grade F - [Martial Artist]

The torch fell, illuminating nothing but the bodies of the fallen. Shoulder to the wall and one fist held out in guard, Shere shook off the impact and found his bearings but no foe to fight. Neither ahead or behind him, up or down, in no apparent plane of existence that he could attack. Since he knew for a fact he could hit things that weren't there by virtue of having tried before, this was unnerving. A thousand thoughts raced through his mind in a moment, split between instinctive gut feeling and cold strategic assessment. What to do. His immediate answer, of course, was to start throwing hands.

But the entire situation was all too strange, so he didn't throw hands. The people downed were, at the very least, his equal. And this wasn't some fight to the death, this was a particular test. Surely there was a point to it, some attempt at imparting some grand lesson. By the time he stopped seeing spots he had refocused, decided he would then complete the task at hand. They weren't told to fight, they were told to cross the hallway. So, that's what he was going to do. And while he could help them he was going to take others with him, because that's how he rolled.

He barely even heard Squink's spiel, by virtue of having just been blasted into a wall by unknowable forces. But since he had made up his mind to keep on moving, it wasn't hard for the illithid's suggestion to slightly change that idea completely unnoticed. He had to keep moving and he had to get people to safety to spare them further injury, therefore retreating for the moment was the best course of action. It just made sense.

"She's right, change of plans! I'm gonna get whoever I can to safety, we can't just leave them here!" He called out to Seth, and as he did so he lifted two of the fallen on his shoulders. It was no gentle princess carry, the bodies were heaved up like a sack, but he had no time for niceties or indeed to pick and choose who he was saving. It was Sasuke, who'd caught his eye before, and Glacier because a big shiny fox made of ice was immediately eye-catching and probably lighter than a fully armed and armored warrior. "I ask for help with the others but won't hold it against anyone going on ahead! See you after!"

And with that he ran to the entrance. He'd charge back in when that was done.

SASUKE BLACKHEART
Standing [F Grade Character] Titles [Construct, Homunculus, Visitor] Point Booster [Narrative Booster F]
Sasuke's triumph over temptation in his earlier dream felt like a distant memory as he was abruptly pulled from that dreamscape by the radiant presence of Eris. Her brilliance cut through the malevolent shadows that had ensnared them, illuminating their path.

Eris worked her magic, breathing life back into the fallen figures, which included Sasuke. He regained a fleeting taste of consciousness, but before he could fully grasp it, another devastating explosion rocked his world. The sensation was akin to a cataclysmic earthquake tearing apart the fragile threads of consciousness Sasuke had rekindled. What little wakefulness he had regained was mercilessly ripped away as he found themselves once more in the surreal realm of his dreams. But this time, it was worse.

Surrounded by an assembly of even more beautiful and provocative female figures, most of whom seemed like they had stepped straight out of his cherished anime, Sasuke felt his resolve crumble. They competed for his attention, their allure impossible to resist.

Biting his lower lip until it bled, Sasuke struggled to fend off the encroaching desires. He screamed in defiance, his voice echoing through the dream-like realm. "No! Don't assume you can tempt me with my waifus!" He wheezed as if exhausted.

Despite his words, he found himself blushing, enjoying the company of these seductive figures, their arms wrapped around him, and beads of sweat forming on his forehead. It was a tumultuous battle within his own mind, one where his desires and principles clashed, threatening to plunge him deeper into the abyss of temptation.
