Lilith gritted her teeth against the screech that cut through the air, keenly aware of the unnatural eyes that followed her as she slipped through the fortress gateway. Once inside she came to a stop and set the child down. "Get inside." She told him as she drew her gun from her coat, the steel ice-cold against her fingers. Once she was sure the kid was on his way to safety she turned and examined the courtyard. There were still villagers running for their lives and guards battling the corpses, same as in the streets. This time however there were less of the creatures and what were probably mercenaries fighting on the guards side. There also seemed to be... a pirate? And some kind of large creature wearing clothes. Beyond them Lilith could make out the horseman being confronted by a flying girl and a woman with far too many tails.

Above the howl of the storm and the clashing of metal Lilith could barely make out the tailed woman's simple plan. Not that it needed to be complicated. Besides she doubted she could do much to the horseman anyways. Spotting one of the enemy lumbering towards her Lilith raised her pistol, pointed it at the monster's head, and pulled the trigger.

-Click-

Her eyes went wide for a split second before she scowled and rolled her eyes, tossing the useless weapon aside. Of course it wouldn't to work. This was a different world so Dust would be powerless here. So instead, just as the creature stumbled within touching distance, Lilith wipped out her dagger and in the same motion slashed across its throat.

Integra of Black Hart
Integra spat out a curse, there were more of the Undead than he had anticipated. In a few strides, he made his way to the Crewman who had been hit by a skeleton's blade, and fired his pistol into the back of the Skeleton's head, "Stay dead, pissant." He gave a disappointed look to the panicking crewman, which seemed to steel his resolve slightly. The Otterman ran for cover, giving orders to spread out and follow suit, which they did not immediately do. "Well!?" He gave them an expectant look, "Get on with it!?"

That got them moving. He turned to look at the Horseman, a Cold Rider, presumably, then to Dani, who had followed him. Her back was pressed against his as she waited for orders; an annoyed click of her tongue escaped from her mouth as she mimicked his earlier candor, "Well?"

"Give me a second, there's a lot going on at the moment." He snapped the breech on his gun open and popped a new cartridge into the chamber, slamming it shut.

"Really? I hadn't noticed."

"Oh, Haha... There!" He pointed to a wagon full of barrels not far from the front gate, slightly elevated, the perfect spot for her to pick off targets. She nodded and sprinted for it. He followed not far behind, taking up a position behind her so he could make sure nothing got past. Dani clicked the iron sight on the gun into place and exhaled, locking her eyes on a target not far from Commander Rextelian. "Is life debt a thing in Nan Gua?"

"Dunno, why?"

"Just curious." She pulled the trigger, sending the bullet exploding into the back of a wight's head, only a few feet from the Commander.

Looking around he noticed the Crew had all more or less found their way to the courtyard. "Switch to the Catalysts, after this volley. We're getting overwhelmed!" The Crew took a few precious seconds to listen, but soon enough they had fired off their pistols and exchanged them for Catalysts.

In the name of Hopes and Dreams; Love and Justice!

  • "Woohoo! 頑張って me!" Sariel cheered, Dulcifer's face alight with glee as he'd peer closely toward where the heart-link'd chain had flown. "OhohohoHO!" He'd laugh, "Of course it landed, no one can beat the ever-victorious and handsome maiden adorned by miracles, Dulcifer!" Sariel would happily and quite arrogantly state while looking at Aya. With that, the heroine gallantly spun his staff, as it sparkled with a shimmering red. The fluttering beside Sariel snickered, its smile stretching a bit far on its coloured cheeks.

As Aya dashed toward the horse-rider, Sariel locked his eyes on the creature with a smile on this body's face. Although it was out of hubris in his ability, it seemed gentle on Dulcifer's face, as though to smile at a friend. Sariel held his staff in front of him and then began to take in his surroundings.

With wings aflutter; Magical power danced within the staff that Sariel held. "Heed me, Thee who art deficit o' virtue, thy light unradiant;" He'd start, spinning the staff and forming a magical circle depicting the four smiling heads of a dove, a rabbit, a stag and a man all without eyes yet surrounded by them. Words, which were incomprehensible, circled around the outer ring of the depictions.

"Thee who art a blight upon this realm beneath eve' star; particoat'd in shades o' sin." Appearing in front of the magical circle was a larger heart-photism with feathered wings, Sariel twirled, "Make scarce that which is dark by thine azure just; Flow uncosmically from the garden o' dreams, shining sweetly..." The magical glyphs glowed in red, "Befall upon thee celestial dust 'n be pure!" Shouted the heroine, as he'd violently strike the magical circle. "Sugar Stream!" Rang his voice along with the shattering circle which scattered into sparkling specks of nothing.

The staff's jewel shone radiantly with crimson light, the wings on the heart raised as an arcane wave of rose-coloured shine poured out and glitzed toward the location of the horseman, blazing everything within its way and filling the air with the awfully sweet scent of fresh sugar. "Hey now! Move outta the way!" Sariel yelled to everyone in the vicinity as the ray of magic blossomed forth.

Exactly what it was that caused his shot to veer off course, Todd couldn’t say. Maybe he hadn’t properly accounted for the wind. Maybe his weapon’s sights were off. Maybe his aim really was just that bad. Whatever the reason was, he’d failed to hit his target. And that meant the maiming of one of Integra’s crew members was, ultimately, his fault. He’d likely hear the man’s piercing screams as his arm turned to solid ice in his nightmares this night. Couldn’t focus on that now though, hopefully the man could be healed. For now, he slid another bullet into the chamber of his weapon, and took stock of the situation as it stood.

Integra’s men were scattering, spurred on to action by their captain. They’d been joined by a few survivors, he caught snippets of conversation one of them, a woman in a somewhat pink dress, skin the color of porcelain, was having with the fox woman. Words like ‘guardian angel’ and ‘help’ and ‘tails’ carried along the wind to his ears. The woman honestly looked like a specter of death, but it seemed like she was on the side of the townsfolk rather than the zombies. And- Hey wait, that thing flying around her, hadn’t he seen it before?

Oops, no time to think on that now! The other person that had joined the fight, a human-looking cat woman in barely any clothing, was under attack! Neither Integra and Dani, nor the fox and porcelain women, were paying her any mind, both focused on their tasks, and Integra’s men had emptied their guns into the zombies still filtering into the courtyard. The woman had drawn a knife and swiped it at the zombie’s throat, but, that didn’t work to kill a zombie. You had to destroy the brain… Where had he heard that?

He pulled his pistol up again, took aim, prayed to all the gods that cared to listen that this time he’d hit his target, and squeezed the trigger. The shot rang out and flew towards the zombie menacing the cat woman as the deathly pale woman launched her own overwhelming magic at the horseman.

Song on the Air:

Aya
Aya B Grade.png

As Lilith brought the blade against the wight's throat it didn't stop its momentum as it brought its sword down, and just before it was about to make contact, a guard drove a spear through its chest and swung it around, tossing it quickly against the wall. The corpse remained slumped against the wall as the large bearkin guard nodded his head to Lilith as he charged once more into the fray against the army of the undead. The song in the air raised in volume as it started to drown out the sounds of fighting. As it crescendoed, a beam shot up from the keep into the sky, and a green pulse rippled across the sky as far as the eye could see.

After a moment, the storm outside the keep disappointed as if there had never been one. Though the wights and the horseman remained, the sight turned more gruesome as it looked like some of the townspeople had been killed; their bodies shook violently as they slowly got up, their eyes a bright blue. Though with the storm now cleared, the guards that had managed to survive the fighting outside the fort could see, and any of the marksmen would be able to more accurately shoot. As Todd fired off his around it did hit the mark, as a wight was bout to pop back up over Lilith's shoulder as the round pierced the creature's head and sent it recoiling back onto the ground, slowly starting to get back up.

"Press the advantage; the cover is gone! Any soldier that can still fight, grab your weapons; we must push them back!" Rextelian called out as a round flew past him and into one of the wights; as he turned around, he nodded his head toward the mercenaries before rejoining the fight with his men. With the snowstorm gone, the creatures did seem to be at a disadvantage now. The soldiers were now gaining ground as the song finally disappointed into the wind as the sounds of battle once again took hold. While the crew members volleys were effective as they dropped four wights with relative ease.

Meanwhile, the horse figure broke the chains around him, though he wasn't quick enough to devise a magic defense for the laser beam approaching him. Even barely got out of the way by the time the beam had gone off. As Aya hit the snow, she heard the sound of footsteps as the guards started pushing the wights back into the town.

When the smoke cleared the dead horse had been completely obliterated however, the rider had a greatsword that looked to be made of ice that had a single crack in the blade as it was planted in the ground. Anyone could see the grave the blade left as he had been pushed back. The creature looked at Dulcifer as it rained ice shards from the sky above Dulcifer, several of the shards making contact. The creature then turned its sights on Aya as it charged forward swinging the blade down Aya deflected the attack though there was a visible crack in her katana now.

She gritted her teeth as she responded with using Qazi delivering a strike to the figure though this time it seemed like it had hurt at least as the creature touched the part of his abdomen that she had cut. Looking down for a moment before a loud roar was let out of the creature. Something that shouldn't have been possible but happened.

As the storm cleared, Integra sported a manic grin. Things had gone off perfectly, minus an arm or a leg. The gallows' humor made him chuckle slightly, which progressed to full-on barks of laughter as he thought about it. The revival of dead villagers into undead opposition did little, if anything, to sway his manic laughter.

"You'd think a place like this would have a better town watch." He spared a glance at Dani, hoping she appreciated his humor. If she had heard him, she gave no notice.

Instead, she made use of her newly gained line of sight and fired off a shot at the nearest reanimated villager. In a practiced motion she reloaded the gun and then fired off another shot without missing a beat. "Two for two," She smirked.

As his crew did their best to support the village militia, most of them were forced to put away their Catalysts, the fighting being pushed further back by the wage of fervor that had swept through Nan Gua. Integra thought about ordering them to surround the Cold Rider. Was it still a Rider if the horse had been dispatched? Judging by the trouble it was giving the Fox woman, though, he doubted they would have been of much help.

Instead, he left them to their own devices, deciding the volleys of lead were probably their best contribution to keeping the town wight-free. One of the reanimated wights broke through their perimeter, charging straight for Dani. Letting out a sigh, Integra waited for it to get a bit closer before firing a shot at it. The bullet clipped the creature's arm, breaking it where the ulna and radius met, yet the creature kept charging.

"Son of a-" He'd never forgive himself if Dani got hurt because of it his own ineptitude. Shaking the hand that had his Catalyst on it, he flung his hand out in the creature's direction, "Profluo!" The undead ran at him, coming within range of the spell as it manifested, a gout of mana flowing into the creature, threatening to liquefy it. For good measure, he sent a second Flux of mana through it, "Profluo."

Lilith spun around as Tod's bullet stuck its target and, upon seeing the corpse starting to rise again, lunged forward, plunging her dagger towards its eye. What the hell were these things? They shrugged off getting their throats slit. A bullet to the head did nothing. How were they supposed to kill them? Surely they had some kind of weakpoint?

Just as the thought crossed her mind something flashed into Lilith's field of view. Startled she stumbled back and vanished, reappearing only a handful of feet away. Despite the sudden movement the object remained in her vision and as she focused on it Lilith realized they were words.

No weakpoints found.

"No weakpoints? The hell?" She hissed, then shook her head. It didn't mater if these monsters had weakpoints or not, though she would have to experiment with whatever this was later. Clearly they could be killed, judging from the motionless bodies scattered around, including the monster the bear had thrown against the wall. Just had to hit them enough and they'd go down.

Looking back at the giant otter, Lilith gave him a nod before returning her attention to the fight. She was no vanguard but she could at the very least keep the creatures from getting to the gunner.

Well, as far as things went, the clearing of the storm was certainly dramatic. The whole keep lit up in brilliant green light, and a green tinged shock wave cleared the clouds from the sky in its wake. The wind died down, the song quieted, and the full scope of the day’s ongoing disaster was finally brought to light. Now no longer impeded by the wind, trails of smoke rose into the sky – from the fires the dragon had set before the storm or said fire’s still smoldering remains Todd could not say from here. Numerous villagers lay dead on the path leading up to the fort. Though, unfortunately, they did not stay dead long. Instead, with their eyes glowing the same blue light as the undead, they stood again and joined their new compatriots in their assault on the fort.

Still, with the storm cleared, morale and visibility improved, and the survivors began to rally. His bullet even found its mark, sending a lurching zombie back to the ground where the cat woman was quick to follow up. He gave the woman a wave when she looked his way. Integra and Dani and their crew weren’t having those most trouble with the zombies that made it into the fort itself, either. On the other hand, the now horseless rider was proving to be more of a challenge for the fox and porcelain women.

The big boss of the whole thing seemed to the Kushtaka to be the more important, and more dangerous of the targets. Taking it down would go a long way towards winning the day. But, there was little Todd felt that he himself could do against such a threat. If that thing could stand up against a blast of magic like the deathly pale woman could conjure, there was little his pistol could probably do… But maybe there was something here a bit more powerful? The Kushtaka’s eyes settled on one of the surviving ballista, sitting unfired after the monster’s counterattack against the first volley. The creature was distracted now, and even if it turned to focus on the source of such a ranged attack as what Todd was imagining, that could give the women the opening they needed to finish it.

So Todd holstered his pistol, and took off running for the stairs up to the wall, as fast as his legs would take him.

Heart Captivating Battle

  • "ohohohoHOHOHOHOH~!" Sariel laughed with an exuberant expression, the body's white dress swaying elegantly in the wind as the body's wings continued to flutter keeping Sariel afloat. Sariel was quite elated... for some reason. "Ohoho! And that is the devastating power of heavenly sweetness and light, you pitied wretch! ohohoHOHOH~!" Obnoxiously, Sariel would continue laughing as he spun his staff beside him.

The sudden climax of the song which echoed in the air was loud enough to grab Sariel's attention. Suddenly, a beacon of light had risen into the sky, seemingly piercing the clouds. The rippling beam that had theatrically made itself apparent... It was so cool! Dulcifer's crimson eyes glittered with awe as he'd stare at the sudden beacon of radiance. To him, it was mesmerizing. Of course, he'd quickly get back on the road upon taking note of what else was happening above him. "...Heh?" Dulcifer's voice let out, staring with widening eyes.

Icicles would suddenly rain down from the sky, threatening to puncture through the heroine's body, he click his tongue. A frustrated smile painted the gentle face of Dulcifer. A few of the shards fell, cutting through the glittering fabric of his gloves and ripping parts of the base of his skirt. Sariel quickly twirled his staff, "P-tan! Get close!" He'd shout to the creature, with its sinister smile as it hovered closer.

The staff's jewel glowed with a sparkling red, as magic began to pulse throughout the sceptre. With a snapping-like movement, Sariel elegantly twirled the sceptre horizontally and vertically around himself. Crimson ribbons of arcane light faded into particles of pink sugar. (A1) "[♡Prince of Hearts!♡]" Sariel shouted, the staff flashed with a sudden gleam, as the pink sugar melted around him creating a translucent barrier of glittering pink with a pattern depicting hearts and crowns intertwined with swirling lines like lace.

Hopefully, the barrier would serve as protection from the icicles for Sariel's body and Salboros. Sariel glared with a bitter look in the direction of the thing that used to be riding a horse. (A2) With a snarly smile, Sariel flew across to it his wings beating furiously, with the wind brushing against the barrier. He'd extend out his sceptre which was already glittering with magic ready burst.

Sariel would madly charge to deliver a sparkling strike with his staff, via (A3) [Heart ♡ Pounding] targeting the rider once he'd gotten into melee range(5ft).

Aya
Aya B Grade.png
As integra and the crew continued to send lead down range at the wights they were making a sizeable dent in the wight population. As the wight came toward the mana around the creature melted from the waist up as the remains of the creature fell over into the cold snow leaking some kind of black liquid from the remains. As Integra went to use Flux for a second time he would feel lightheaded instantly as nothing happened with the remaining part of the corpse. Though thanks to the actions of him and his crew the guard were now getting the upper hand in this fight finally.

Lilith and Todd were now in the safety of the walls of the keep as the fighting was slowly getting pushed back down the hill as the song in the air finally faded into nothing. As the song faded there was a sense of dread that slowly started to set in, though one could attribute it to the presence of the rider or the sheer death that had befallen the village.

"Keep up the pressure, the honor of our clan holds in the balance, keep the line and keep pushing these undead bastards back!" Rextelian shouted as he brought his sword down on another wight slashing it in half before continuing on to the next. Whatever the song had done along with the mercenaries had turned the tide of the battle and the guards could feel it just as the song faded into the wind they could feel the cold aura that the wights brought with them.
80ab2be8db48e4711e2cefc230991815.jpg

As Dulcifuler put the barrier up, the barrier held its own against the attack however as the last shard of ice impacted the barrier it destroyed it. As Dulcifer went in, she made contact with the former rider creating a large whole in the chest of wight which then looked down for a moment. There was a single loud howl that forced everyone to cover their ears as a gust of wind picked up whiting out the area. When everyone opened their eyes again all the creatures were gone only leaving the bodies of the dead behind.

Aya looked around as the fight had need and let out a sigh of relief, though the rider left more questions unanswered than had been answered. On a cliff a little ways out of town, several rider clad in black sat on their horses watching the whole scene unfold. As the wights retreated from the fight they one by one slowly turned their horses around and started to leave.

The commanders voice then rang out,
"Adventurers meet me in the main hall of the keep and your reward will be yours along with a proposition. Any questions will be answered then." Rextelian then gave his soldiers orders to clean up the bodies and burn them all. They would then go and see to the town to see how much damage had been done by their visitors including the dragon as the flames were still burning some buildings.

Fiction bears warmth that reality cannot muster.

  • ... What just happened? Sariel questioned in thought, his strawberry-scented shield was no longer and the heroine stared in front of himself with widened eyes. Was it seriously that easy to kill that thing...? Or did Aya weaken it down enough for Sariel to have delivered the final blow? He'd sigh, in the end... ☆They were totally victorious!☆ Sariel would place a to the side of his mouth, "ohohohohohohoHOHOHOHOH!" He'd laugh, "Once more! The marvellous and mysterious maiden of love and justice serves the evil villains their sweet-scented tussilage! ohohoHOHOHO!" He'd boast, spinning his staff and then planting it into the floor. The base glitzed, creating a minute ring of glittering light which dissipated into the earth below.

Sariel twirled around to face Aya, placing a right arm on her shoulder. "Great job there, Fox-tails! You totally showed 'em! Woohoo~☆ Hopefully, there ain't of those way things coming 'round fer another beatin'!" He'd say with the slight tilt of the body's head and with a smile that creased the corners of his lips. "Anywho, I've totes gotta make my grand and heroic and dazzling intro to those imbeciles! C'mon, let's skiddy!" He'd turn on his heel before coming to a sudden halt, taking a good look at what suddenly stood before him. Although the smile stayed on Dulcifer's face, it was as if that already incredible white face had become all the more ashen at the sight of bodies scattered on the ground.

The fluttering feeling of victory would fade away, as the maiden's eyes lost that sparkling glint. "Oh... Ha... hahah... hah..." Sariel tried to keep the smile on this face, although it likely failed. He'd silently bring shaking hands around his own arms. Salboros's single eye stared, becoming wide with glee. The smile on the creature's face only widened all the more abnormally, it was bit too wide. It was as if each end of the creature's mouth was about to unhinge its jaw, although that didn't happen. Its paws covered his mouth. "Ufufufufu~~♡" It'd giggle.

Taking a breath, he'd breathe out as if to sigh. "Ugh...!" Sariel pulled away his arms, there was an icy sting on this body's fingertips. He'd swing it around, swivelling his wrists for a moment and making his elbow go up and down for a few moments to stimulate his joints... Yet it felt totally horrible. It was stiff like a creaking marionette. His eyes sunk and let the body's shoulders slump as he'd look into the above sky. "Geez~ No good," The heroine uttered, as he'd let another sigh leave him.

Were we truly victorious if this was the outcome? Would cross into the lad's mind. The body's now stunted arm was bothersome, yet out of all the things which plagued the heroine, it was honestly the least troublesome. To think so many had fallen...

"Ufufu~~♡ Little Angel~ A heroine. The angel heroine you are. Sublime o'er humans~ Ufufufu♡" The pastel-furred creature snickered, Sariel looked at the thing with furrowed brows. "Little angel~ Care not. Angels care not, they do not care for humans. Ufufufu~♡ The dead bear no sin, the dead bear no pain. Thoughts are wasted on the dead, ufufufu~~♡" Said it, and with a face looking at the floor, Sariel would nod. "Right... Faces when it rains, teardrops without names... Fuu~✧" He'd reply, looking forward.

He didn't need to continue thinking about it. That was what they were to Sariel, he had nothing to do with these people. Although his face was now more stern, the heroine's heeled steps trembled much more than they'd usually. With a sigh, he'd tightly clutch his staff within the body's left hand. How annoying.

How many children had lost a parent? How many mothers would never hear the laugh of their child again? How many siblings lost the smile of their other? How many people had lost their dearest? How many, o, how many; These weren't thoughts for him to think. Sariel marched forth to meet up with everyone else, taking care to avoid stepping on any of the bodies. He only had to think about himself. After all, the people he held dear are too far out of reach, thus, he was the only one who mattered.

And just like that, the whole thing was over. Todd had scaled the stairs up to the fort wall, and was just in time to see the porcelain woman cave in the ride-less undead rider’s chest in with her staff. An ear piercing shriek rang out, and was carried off by the wind. Apparently with the head honcho dead, the lesser corpses didn’t care to stick around any longer, once silence had once again fallen over the town, the undead were gone, leaving only corpses behind. The Kushtaka had a good view of the town from his position on the walls, allowing him to look out over the, well, devastation almost felt like an understatement. Who knew how many were dead, and the telltale flickering orange glow of flames confirmed beyond a reasonable doubt that parts of the village were still burning.

None of the remaining corpses were moving, but still, Todd couldn’t help but load another bullet into his pistol before returning it once again to his holster. Part of him was a little bummed out that he hadn’t gotten the chance to fire one of the ballistae, but mostly he was just glad the whole experience was over. Now that the adrenaline was leaving his system, his legs were starting to feel like lead, anyway. He padded back down the steps to the courtyard again, intending to meet up with the others. The guard captain was summoning them all anyway.

By some chance, the first person he came upon was the porcelain woman, marching through the gate as he came down the steps. She seemed about as tired as he felt, a slight stumble to her step, her complexion having taken on a more sickly looking pallor. He approached, a little cautiously, and gave her a slight wave.

“Dare say you carried the day, ma’am,” he said, giving a weak smile, “Glad you appeared when you did.”

His eyes drifted from her face to her arm, noticing the cut, and the clinging ice. The injury didn’t look so bad as the one that had befallen Integra’s crewmate, but still. The Kushtaka dug around his pockets for his focus, before finally pulling the silver ruby ring out and sliding it onto one of the fingers of his left paw. He rubbed his paws together, bringing to life a spark of yellowish-green magic, which enveloped the porcelain woman’s arm when he held his paws out to it. His Healing magic wasn’t half as good as his master’s back in the village, but it should at least help with the pain and close up any superficial cuts. Whatever magical malady she might be feeling, however, was likely beyond his power.

“Here, lemme help you with that,” he grunted, frowning a little as he focused on his work, “I'm Todd, by the way. Don’t think I caught your name in the chaos?”

Integra watched with a bored sense of interest as the Otterman made his way up the walls of the fort. After a few moments, it became obvious where he was headed. 'Resourceful little rat, isn't he?' Despite having grown up (again) in this world, seeing Beastmen wasn't getting any less strange, and now they were helping defend a Fort full of them. Weird how things turned out.

The shrill howl of a whiteout occurred, making it almost impossible to see anything, even Dani, despite the fact she was nearly within arm's reach. After the momentary weather anomaly cleared, so had the hordes of undead. The resulting quiet wasn't the respite that he had hoped it would be. Their victory felt, empty almost. Whatever had swept the Undead away had certainly been the same force that had brought them here with the storm in the first place, at least, that was the working theory he was going with at the moment.

Dani reloaded her rifle, holstering the firearm as she put her index finger and thumb to her lips and let out a shrill whistle. The crewmen gathered together, only four of them remained, the one that had gotten his arm mangled was missing, presumably unable to reload or fight back at a crucial moment. Taking his hat off, Integra put it over his heart and said a silent prayer for the lost soul.

Idly, he noted the blonde child from earlier had survived, and was joined by the Otter gunner. “Er...” He watched with curiosity as the Otter used healing magic. ‘Otter mage?’ With a shrug he turned to Dani, who simply raised an eyebrow at him. “I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if we asked...”

“I’d wait.” She replied, taking inventory of the firearms and cartridges. “Their leader mentioned a ‘proposition.’ Which means...” Her face darkened with a scowl. “No one picked up Juan’s pistol?!” In unison the crew pointed fingers at each other, each one claiming another had been the one who was supposed to recover sidearms. Like a mother scolding her children, Dani said a few choice words to them and sent the lot of them to get the gun, and help the townsfolk clean up while they were at it.

Nodding, Integra put a hand in his pocket, Dani was right. It could wait. With that having been decided, he swaggered after the Commander of the town Guard, eager to see this "reward" he had been promised.

Blissfull Introduction.

  • As Sariel stepped, he'd hear the other beastman's voice, turning this body's head to look whilst he spoke. The crimson eyes of the body glinted, with lips curling into a smile. "Carried the day, you say?" Sariel stared, all he had to do was act not like himself, he had to act like Dulcifer... A total spaz and space cadet who lowkey sounds like a preaching bishop. Yes, that was what she was like... How would a Seraf even act? Aren't they supposed to be like torch flames... Oh right-- Sariel wound up his arm, placing a hand near his mouth as he'd lift his head slightly.

"OhohohohoHOHOHO!" He'd laugh, "You flatter me, merely, I am playing my part. Afterall~~ I am indeed a guardian angel. Ohoho!" Sariel would reply, his smile wide as he'd run a hand through one of his pigtails, flipping it as it fluttered briefly in the air. "I appear when my name is called, and serve justice to those who sin! That is my role as the maidenly hero descended from the heavens." He proclaimed, placing a hand on the body's chest. Incidentally, covering the jewel, which glowed with a crimson gleam, embedded between the body's lower collar framed by pure feathers.

Sariel would notice as the dog-faced beastman stared at the cut in the body's arm... Sariel wondered if the gloves would recover after transforming again. Wait what the heck is this creep doing? With widened eyes, Sariel watched as the otter on two feet assumedly did his best to heal the cut wound. "Hoh...?" He'd utter once the otter was done... "Uhm... Thank you~? Hm." Sariel stared, twisting the arm and letting it turn. Although it was likely a bit stiff, it was at least better than having it be potentially contaminated in the cold air. "Thanks... I appreciate it, Mister Todd," It turned out he wasn't that much of a creep as Sariel had first perceived...

Yes, the time was neigh to make his grand and heroic introduction. "My name? Ohohohoho... OHOHOHOh! How gay I am that you dare ask," Sariel cleared his throat and backed up a bit. His wings fluttered with a gentle glow as he'd spin his staff with all too much vivacity as he'd snap into an exaggerated pose. Hand on hip, and another holding the staff raised in the air and a leg raised as the body's hair and skirt fluttered in the moment.

    [Pretty Girl’s ☆ Stock Intimidation ♡ Technique]

"The handsome heroine of awe and grace, descending from heaven to quiet the pleas of those in need..." With a swinging motion of the staff, glitzing wings as he'd twirl, the self-proclaimed heroine pointed forward, although not at Todd, but within his general vicinity "Shining on those who live in darkness♡; behold! I am the eternally beautiful and dazzling dame who altruistically aids soldiers and mercenaries in need of heavenly grace and intervention on heels and with a fluttering smile! Yes, be not afraid, all you little lambs, for it is I--☆" Sariel ran a hand once more through his hair to flip it with flair. He didn't have a cape so he'd make do with long hair.

"The mythical Seraf of Sweetness; Dulcifer!☆ Yes, I am the [Heroine of Love♡ and Justice☆]! Call my name and I will come flying right over, descending from the clouds!" His smile was wide as he'd wink toward an unexisting audience, sparking light dazzling off. "And that is who I am, if you feel the need to bow, I will not stop you~~♡ Ohohohohohoh!" His laugh echoed, as he'd plant his staff onto the floor.

He'd always get this odd rush of enthusiasm suddenly overwhelm him when he'd introduce himself as Dulcifer. He honestly didn't understand how or why he'd make such an overbearingly long introduction with all those embarrassing sparks and poses. As much as he hated it, it made his heart pound and made it feel as though he'd fly over the moon and stars. How strange.

Aya joined up with Dulcifer as Todd spoke and casted healing magic. Aya cocked an eyebrow as she hadn't expected that to happen. Though the flying rat was starting to get annoying, the devil was stuck in a stuffed animal. Not to mention she found the thing creepy from time to time. "I don't think its over yet Dulcifer, I think they just ran off to regroup for another day," Aya sighed as she crossed her arms across her chest pondering the idea and still trying to figure out what is going on.

There was still smoke rising as the guards in the village were slowly putting out the fires, though there were several questions now that the dragon had snuck off to wherever its lair was hidden at. But that was a concern for a different time. "Don't let your head get too bid Dulcifer we will be having a long discussion after this," Aya met Dulcifer's gaze for a moment before letting out a sigh and turning to the others that had gathered. With that she let the matter drop and then looked around at the others that had gathered.

As the others came over, Commander Rextilian walked up to the group several guards carrying several large bags and there was a larger bag that was then passed to the mercenaries, the smaller bags were then passed to everyone else.

"Payment for the help of the defense, though there is still much more work to do before it all done with. But for now, we must go and help rebuild the village and count the missing and dead. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of those things yet, thank you for your help with the defense once again," The commander then bowed and walked away from the group as he started to follow the other guards into the village to figure out what the damage was going to be.
